Catch the Ghost - Review

Maybe one of the best shows I’ve watched. Pros:

Amazing chemistry between the leads

Really funny, but the transitions to serious sections don’t feel awkward

The leads characters are really engaging, and Yoo Ryung is a badass

There’s great character development

The woman who’s the head (or whatever) of police was a breath of fresh air, and really enjoyable

Cons:

The way autism is talked about isn’t always great, but it’s not horrible

The serial killer aspects might be a little intense, or just not worth the amusement value of the rest of the show, depending on your interests

Female lead gets bullied to varying extents, if that’s a real turn-off for you

Maybe you’ve seen super cute romantic gifs from this show, that’s all basically in the last episode

I had a hard time coming up with cons, but it’s been a while since I’ve watched the show. It’s one of those series where I knew almost immediately I’d want to do a full rewatch. There’s a lot of hard hitting emotional stuff that really brought out the Feelings in addition to the comedy. The two leads are spectacularly fun to watch, and I found Moon Geun Young’s facial control really impressive. This is one of those dramas that I’ve been trying to get my non-drama-watching friends to pick up.
