✧ yujin/yuji. yuji is a nickname of my korean name and yujin is my korean name (유진 in hangul, the hanja is 禛幼 if your wondering even though I know you aren't lolll)

my pronouns are he/him, although, because i'm cis (it's probably the reason idk) i don't mind people using they/them as long as you don't exclusively use it ♪⁠～⁠(⁠´⁠ε⁠｀⁠ ⁠)

Red Velvet(레드벨벳) - 러시안 룰렛 (Russian Roulette)

오늘 멜론뮤직에서 어떤 콜렉션? 보다가 레벨 노래(=빨간 맛) 있길래 이 노래도 오랜만에 찾아 봤다. 갈수록 SM이 레드벨벳 매 앨범에 온 공을 쏟는 게 느껴진다. 사실 Red의 의미에 Velvet의 의미까지 더했다는 것 자체가, SM이 어떤 컨셉이든 다 해 먹을 준비를 하고 레벨을 만들었다는 거. 레드벨벳 팬들(러비)한텐 일 좀 하라고 SM도 욕 오지게 먹지만, 사실 덕후들한테 욕 안 먹는 소속사가 어디 있겠냐는 생각을 늘 하고 있는 나로선 이 정도 퀄리티의 컨셉을 꾸준히 내준다는 게 고맙고요.

이게 몇 년 전이여. 다 상큼하다, 진짜. 그러고 보니 내가 대딩 때 나온 노랜 것 같은데?

Wow...I did not expect anything like that.

레드벨벳 (Red Velvet) is known for their cute and cheery songs, but members Irene and Seulgi decided to get together and express themselves more freely. Establishing themselves as the first sub-unit of the group, Irene and Seulgi break off from Red Velvet's summer sunshine vibes and deliver a more dark and edgy sound with their new music video, "Monster," which was unveiled July 6th.

The song is the title track of the duo's debut mini-album, "Monster." Though the lyrics talk about an immortal monster that enters our dreams to play and dance, to me it sounds a little deeper than that--it sounds as if it were about that part of us we see as "dark" and the times we are "weak" and let go of ourselves.

I don't find anything wrong with homoerotica, but I'll admit I was surprised to see it in the video. Although it is not something we often see in Kpop, it appears they are being more inclusive and expressive regarding our LGBT+ community. If change within a society is to take place, then a movement must come from the entertainment industry. The more the public sees of something considered "wrong" or "taboo" in the stone age, the more normal and accepted it becomes in the present and for future generations.

Love is love, you guys. We are all equal. Let's watch out for each other.

다들 사복 진짜 잘 입어(ㅇㅅㅇbb) 제가 또 이런 데 (쓸데없이) 의리파이다 보니 (여자)아이들 얘기만 던진 것 같기에 레드 벨벳 짤도 투척. 두 그룹 다 본인들만의 매력이 있는데 레벨은 진짜 특유의 순수함이 있다. 데뷔 때부터 다들 순둥순둥.

레드벨벳, 에스파 보고 느낀 건데 SM은 여돌은 다 순한 멤버들로 뽑는 듯. 골치 썩을 일 없게 애초에 착한 멤버들만 구성해놔서 겁나 웃김. 이수만 쌤... 너무 간 얘기지만, 이수만 선생님 보면 대단하다. 열정이랄까? 돈만 보고 좇았으면 진작 물러났을 텐데 인생 자체를 K-POP 사업에 올인 하시는 느낌. 물론 그만큼 잘 알진 못 하지만 (난 내 가수만 파면 돼) 겉으로 느끼기에 정말 행보가 너무 대단하다. 아티스트들에 대한 애정도 남다르고. 연세를 드시면서 점점 유해지시는 느낌도?

다시 레드벨벳 얘기로 돌아오자면 승완쓰 실물이 그렇게 존예라면서요. 내 최애 웬디찡. 근데 하도 깨방정인 모습만 봐서 예전부터 내 동생 같고 갈수록 신비로움이 사라지는 neu-kkim적인 neu-kkim...

어쨌든 항상 실망스러운 모습 안 보여주고 늘 열심히 해서 좋은 내 가수들. 씨유쑨!
