rosalie hughes was born on a beautiful day in orlando florida 

initially ellen and jim were told by the doctors that rosalie was going to be a boy, and it wasn't until late in the pregnancy when the doctors realized that they were wrong. 

the family were extremely happy to be having a girl though, especially quinn! 

growing up rosalie was very much a daddy’s and mommy’s girl, she was very attached to her parents, never wanting to be away from them. 

when rosa was 5 she was put in ballet and she continued to dance all the way until she was 15, ballet, jazz, contemporary and modern. 

rosa was introduced to modeling when she was 14 

but when she was 8 and until she was 14 she played hockey, but she stopped because she wanted to focus on modeling and acting 

rosa found her love for fashion designing when she was 15, through modeling and acting 

when she was 13 rosa made her debut in acting as a main character in stranger things season one, playing the younger sister of steve harrington 

through middle school and highschool she was apart of her theater club

rosa skipped a year in highschool so she graduated the same year as jack 

in the summer of 2019 rosa started filming for outer banks, acting as a main character for the show, playing as John B's younger sister. 

rosa moved to montreal when she was 18 for college, quickly became the top student in all of her classes

how did they meet?   cole and rosa officially met through her older brother jack who was teammates with cole while playing in the usa program. jack and cole were quick to become best friends as the years went on, causing cole and rosa to become friends as well. 

their first impressions?  

when cole first saw rosa he felt like everything was in slow motion as she walked up to him with jack. cole thought she was very nice and welcoming, and that she has a beautiful smile. he liked how playful she was with them, and that she didn't shy away from playing with him and the rest of the guys just because she's a girl. he was absolutely smitten with her. 

rosa had felt like she already knew cole just because of how much jack talked about him to her, so she already had an idea of who he was. but she wasn't expecting him to be so shy with her at first , but she honestly found it cute. she liked how kind and helpful he was, and that he really tried to include her in everything, not wanting her to feel excluded. she also thought he was really cute…. 

who asked who?  cole was the one to ask rosa to be his girlfriend, they had been seeing each other for months, doing everything that couples do but just in secret. and he was feeling a lot of things about the fact that they still weren't official.  he loved her and he knew that he wanted to be with her for the rest of his life, so he was the one to ask her and take that first step. 

who fell first?   cole was the one who fell first, and he swears to this day that it was love at first sight for him. he said she took his breath away when he first saw her, and ever since then he was in love. but don't worry when rosa did end up falling for cole, she fell hard. 

first date?   their first date was at a movie theater, they were seeing some random movie that they didn't even pay attention to. the whole movie they just sat in the back of the theater, sharing their candy and talking in hushed whispers and giggles. they didn't even realize that the movie had ended until the lights turned back on, interrupting them from almost kissing. they then went to play at the movie theater's arcade for a little (cole winning her a teddy bear that she still sleeps with) before ending their date getting ice cream. 

first kiss?   rosa and cole had their first kiss when they were at a lake house party over summer in 2019. cole saw her and matt boldly getting close and he couldn't help but get jealous. He found a way to distract matt before he dragged rosa off into an empty room. rosa starts ranting about how that wasn't nice to do but she gets cut off when cole kisses her. The kiss was quick but rosa was eager to pull him into a second kiss that lasted much longer. 

first ‘I love you’?  rosa was the one to say i love you first. it was the first time they were able to see each other in person in a few months because of covid. they were in her kitchen cleaning up after they had dinner and rosa felt so much love for him as she watched him dry off the dishes and she just ended up blurting it out loudly, taking cole by surprise. he of course said it back, setting the drying towel down and pulling her into a kiss. 

did either one of them try to hide their feelings?   they both did. they both knew that liking each other wasn't exactly ideal because of Jack, but they couldn't help it. cole was the one who hid his feelings the longest. 

how did everyone find out and react? 

family + friends: a few of rosa and cole’s closest friends + some of Cole’s teammates, knew from the beginning when they first started their secret relationship. but what caused everyone else to find out is when jack caught them, causing an argument which lasted for weeks between the siblings and cole. The couple ended up telling their family and friends after jack caught them, having no reason to hide anymore. jack obviously wasn't happy about them at first, more hurt and betrayed that they kept it a secret for so long. everyone else was very happy for them, not very surprised because they could all see the chemistry between them. 

the public: the public found out in September of 2023 when Jack accidentally exposed them in a summer photo dump post on Instagram. they were seen in the background of a picture sitting down on a couch, Cole's arm wrapped around her shoulder and his face in her hair, both of them smiling. some fans said that they were just being friendly, not wanting to accept that they were together, but the majority were celebrating because they have been suspicious about the couple for years, making threads and TikTok’s on trying to explain why they think cole and rosa were together. Cole then posted a picture of them cuddling with his dog, to officially announce that they were together. Most of the fans were very happy for them, but of course there is always that group of haters.
