on previous DA Days this group has platformed Inon Zur, who served in the tank division of the IDF during the first intifada, something which he's stated he is proud of. in addition to having taken an active role in the massacre of Palestinians, he is also racist and has used ethnic slurs to describe the music he creates.

all this to say, this man should not have been platformed. it was a decision born of ignorance, but once Palestinians reached out to Unofficial DA Day to request that the interview be taken down, they twiddled their fingers for whole YEAR while refusing to acknowledge or mention the situation.

on Nov 25th 2022 nearly a year after last DA Day, their official twitter posted this tweet explaining that they'd deleted the interviews

There is no apology. No reflection on their actions. No acknowledgement of wrongdoing. No mention of the harm Zur has caused. No commitment to doing better.

This is a statement where they essentially say "Well, we don't think we did anything wrong. The Palestinians had to go and get all triggered and offended over a Q&A video. They bullied us enough that we yielded to their demands though. Anyway don't forget to donate to the charities we're supporting. Did we mention we're supporting charities? Aren't we so benevolent and better than those nasty Palestinians?"

The purpose of this statement is to garner pity and paint the hurt party, the Palestinians, as aggressors for being rightfully concerned a man, who played a direct, hands-on, enthusiastic role in their oppression, was granted a platform.
