Can I just take a moment to tell everyone how happy I am that Netflix is streaming a new anime adaption of Ranma ½!

It's one of the best manga that were ever released and I've never encountered more original, wholesome or funnier characters than them. And I didn't even know how much I missed P-chan!!! 🐷 🤣

Episodes on Netflix are released weekly on Saturdays, simultaneously with Japan, and so far (ep. 10) it not only follows the original manga almost scene for scene (though with a "Tokyo in the 80ies"-disclaimer at the start of the first episode), but also almost all Seiyuu from the old anime are reprising their roles.

I just hope they also follow the manga where Ranma's classmates later realise that girl-Ranma and boy-Ranma are the same person (I heard in the old anime it stayed a secret) and just continue to accept him. Like, Oh, that's just our classmate Ranma, he sometimes turns into a girl, what else is new. Speaking of which, our girl's team is one member short, somebody go push Ranma into the pool!

I don't even want to know what the terminally online Gen Z's feel might be problematic about it. Get off my lawn, kiddies (preemptively).
