Done.
▪︎ Vangelo 四部福音:福音 gospel(聖經中的四部福音)基督的生活與教導 (one of the four descriptions in the Bible of) the life and teaching of Christ ▪︎ 四活物/默示錄 四章7節 ▪︎ 雖然"臺灣藍鵲"是臺灣原住民鄒、邵、布農等族的神鳥,鄒語稱為teofsi'za、邵語稱為fitfit、布農語稱為lalinutaz(郡社群)/qaipis,另排灣語稱tjikaikai。 Urocissa caerulea

The faster you learn to work with God, the faster you will get out of trouble.
And do not be lazy, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises (Hebrews 6: 12).
09/18 Bible Verses
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (Jude 1: 20-21)
09/18 Good Words
1. Social and workplace interactions are more or less entangled with interests, and conflicts and injuries are easy to grow. Be grateful to those who hurt you, because they have tempered your mind.
2. Set goals for yourself and continue to pursue two-year and five-year goals. Maybe you were not born as well as others, but through hard work and steadfast implementation, you can often achieve 70% of your goals.

Here is the verse of the day which I captured yesterday.
This in the Bible is written to the Philippians. (ピリピ人)The reference in English is Philippians 4:9, which says, "What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me — practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."
This honestly stuck out to me because I was just thinking about all the work I've been doing lately and how stressed I've been. Because honestly, yeah, I've been really stressed.
Between work and academics I was really struggling to spend time with God. Honestly, I'm sure everyone has that problem at one point. For me, without noticing it, I stopped spending as much time as I previously did. I had one friend ask me, "From one to ten, with one being the worst and ten being the best, how would you rate your current spiritual journey? As in, how often are you praying, how often do you talk to Him? How often do you go to church or Bible study or worship? How often do you spend time just studying the Bible?"
And I said..."Well, honestly, last year I'd say it was a 8/10. I spent so much time with Him." But now I felt myself falling away from Him, I couldn't spend time with Him with how busy I was, and with how tired I was by the time I got home. So I was stuck saying, "But now, I'm probably a 5/10."
Ultimately I had to make a change in my schedule and swap jobs, so that I could prioritize. Yeah, making less money because I have a different job. BUT, now I'm able to spend more time with God and I feel ultimately more peaceful.
Why? Because as illustrated by this verse, I had to remember everything I learned, everything I've studied, everything God has told me, and put them into practice. And now, I'm at peace. We're chill guys, we're vibing.
No I'm still not perfect, but...I'm trying. Trying to spend time with him. Trying to not worry (as I wrote about previously in John 16:33). Trying to put into practice the values the Bible has taught me...
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Message me your thoughts on this verse. ♡
まってね、wishing you all the best blessings

Lao Tzu's best translation annotated by Tamaki Ogawa (Essay)
I am not ashamed to claim that Lao Tzu is the best book in the universe. This is an essential book for the world of the future. Legend has it that Lao Tzu was Confucius' senior, but it is reasonable to think that he was written much later than Confucius, in the 200s B.C., around the time of Mencius, and was written after knowing various ideas of ancient China. I guess it was. It is the culmination of ancient Chinese thought.
In areas where Chinese characters are cultured, such as Japan, China, and Korea, there is the advantage of being able to read Lao Tzu in its original text. This is something that Westerners cannot do and is a privilege of East Asians. Among them, the translation and annotation of Lao Tzu by the Japanese Chinese scholar Tamaki Ogawa is unrivaled. By the way, Tamaki Ogawa is the younger brother of Hideki Yukawa, a Nobel Prize winner in physics, and Hideki Yukawa was also familiar with Lao Tzu.
Let me point out the excellent points of Tamaki Ogawa's translation and annotations.
1) Accurate and easy-to-understand translation notes.
2) He boldly incorporates the views of Arthur Waley, a British researcher on Lao Tzu that other Japanese translators and annotators ignore, and makes his annotations solid and valid.
3) The explanation about ``proper nouns'' in the notes made me realize the fact that ``Lao Tzu hardly ever uses proper nouns,'' and I learned about Lao Tzu's careful ability to construct sentences. This is a clear departure from the Bible, which overuses proper nouns and tends to cause unnecessary conflicts.
4) The writing gives a sense of Lao Tzu's passionate soul.
For now, I will mention these four points. Tamaki Ogawa is a top-level Lao Tzu commentator.
Rei Morishita

Vatican Miracle Examiner Vocab: Chapter 1
100+ vocab terms from Ch 1, Vol 1 of the 5-part manga series.
Mostly Catholic terms in Japanese and unique usage related to the series.
This list is not exhaustive. I focused on terms that would be unfamiliar (or unfamiliar as used in this series), and/or directly relate to Catholic terminology in Japanese.
I list part of speech, pronunciation, and simple definitions. I have not included additional of these if they are not relevant to this series.
Character names will have titles where applicable and those will be in brackets to minimize confusion; titles will be listed under general vocab as well.
At the end of the list I’ll have a few sources for some of the more obscure terms in case you want to read more or get better context.
As of now I have things listed in the order in which they appear, roughly, in the manga.
Note: This will be a long post since it’s the first chapter in the series and 31 pages long.

Additional Notes
Holy year, 聖年 ; Great Jubilee, 大聖年
“Devil’s book,”
I did a lot of searching trying to figure out what book, specifically, was meant here, and came up with 2 possibilities:
the Gigas Codex, ギガス写本 or 悪魔の聖書, a book that is not held by the Vatican but was supposedly written with magical assistance from Satan himself;
the Grand Grimoire, 大奥義書 or 大いなる教書, not written by Satan but that is held by the Vatican.
It’s possibly intended to be vague, but the exact phrasing here is different than used for either of these actual books and I couldn’t find any other possible real option. Note the anime does call a book “the devil’s book” and describe it as a “Bible written by the devil” but it doesn’t seem to really be a reference to Gigas, so maybe it’s intended to be a fictional book inspired by these real texts for the purposes of the story.

2024-6-7
Bible
