silver -

Silver's face is on the verge of both embarrassment and admiration. As he is not used to being praised in such a way, it is a mixture of emotions for him. It is almost as if he cannot believe what he is actually hearing from someone he admires. His cheeks are pink and he looks away, feeling unsure what to say in return. He wants to respond in kind, but does not want to sound cliché or insincere. He also wonders if maybe they are just trying to butter him up, making him doubt their sincerity and thus making the compliments even more difficult to accept.

He looks at you and whispers, "Thank you". The smile on his face is gentle and genuine, and he seems to mean it wholeheartedly.

He is overjoyed by this comment. And is thankful for the compliment you gave him. It also makes Kalim feel really good about himself and he enjoys that. Ruggie is taken aback by this compliment. He is not used to getting compliments so this is very new to him. He feels nervous but happy at the same time as he has never been called beautiful before. He is thankful that the you noticed and took the time to comment on his appearance. It was an unexpected compliment which made it more special for him. And it gives him a certain confidence boost.

Jack is flattered and really appreciates the compliment. But of course he will not try to show it on his face. He knows that he's very talented and is proud of himself for it. This compliment makes him confident and makes him want to continue to do his best to show off his skills so that he can make more people proud and happy in the future. 1.07.2024 — Another long study day. I ended up having to work from 7 AM to early afternoon, so I'm finishing up studying pretty late (it's now 6:30 PM). When I will have a free weekend again, let alone a free day, I honestly don’t know. 😭✋🏻

One thing we covered this chapter is how when ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㅈ are positioned after the final consonant ㄱ, they are pronounced as double consonants (so, ㄲ, ㄸ, ㅃ, ㅆ, ㅉ). Examples would be 학교 (school) or 학생 (student). This is all fine and dandy, but I frankly cannot tell the different when saying these words or hearing them. To me, they just sound like regular consonants. I guess I have yet to master that fine difference, or maybe it isn't a big deal so long as I understand and can be understood.

Watching study with me videos while I study gives me motivation and makes me feel less lonely, lol. I tend to watch Just B's DY. If you haven't heard their music yet, I recommend "Damage" and "RE=LOAD," preferably the Studio Choom versions because those hit different. Notable mention also goes out to Sang Woo's cover of D.O's "That's Okay." Anyway, I'll be taking the vocab and chapter quizzes first thing Monday. I really don't have the mental strength to do them today.
