    Ignoring Lilu ? Was that even possible ? The demon is in his space, hovering around him like a fucking gnat and yet Aleksanteri can't help but be drawn to him, like a house on fire. It humors him, the way he keeps coming back as if this is some sort of punishment he deserves and yet, when Lilu's attention is on him, he simpers, falls to any whims that should be asked of him.  It’s a deliciously torturous cycle that even someone like him can hardly resist.

Turning his attention from his phone back to his companion, hooded gaze settles on Lilu, a hand stroking down from hip to thighs he grins, ❝ ━ Being a bit needy, aren’t we ? I look at my phone for a few seconds and you’re whining so prettily. ❞ The serpent shifts so he’s facing Lilu completely, silver eyes taking in the other. Oh, he’s a pretty thing, isn’t he ? All svelte lines and bedroom eyes ? It was enough to make any mortal want to fall to their knees and gag for him, wasn’t it ? Hand slides between thighs, lightly groping with a low hum in his throat. ❝ ━ Shall I kneel for you ? Let you have your way with my mouth ? Or would you like to ride me, making me whimper as you make me bleed ? ❞ He’s game for either, as long as he’s being used, that’s always a bonus.

Suzhou Numerals

蘇州碼子 aka 花碼。

Just thought this was interesting to see/know of, not that learning this system is going to be very useful (nor easily typed out) nowadays! (笑)

Was looking up something related to numerals (whether 「〇」 can be typed using 倉頡 [Cangjie] input — answer: apparently not? ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ) when I came across this instead and was surprised by how the Suzhou Numerals for 4 [〤] and 9 [〩] greatly resembled the 注音符號 (Zhuyin aka “bopomofo”) for 「ㄨ」 and 「ㄆ」 respectively!

Though according to the Bopomofo Wiki entry, the characters' etymology came from quite different sources.

cloud buying two sets of hoodies, one's a decoy for gen.

ABSOLUTELY!!! 

but then cloud realizes “oh. shit.” he actually really likes the look of gen in his hoodies??? so he just starts rotating them out. gen will steal one, so he’ll wear the other and it’ll start to smell like him (stolen lavender shampoo and motor oil… great combo) then gen steals it. so cloud steals the other one back and wears that one for a while. its a system he’ll never admit to bc god forbid he just let gen know when he likes something.

he definitely doesn’t buy one that is leftover from the red leather fan club that is a hoodie stylized after gen’s jacket. he doesn’t have a shit eating grin the first time he wears it around gen as he waits for his reaction. it absolutely does not become his favorite hoodie.

When did breathing become so hard?

His chest felt heavy, foreign and stone chained down by crushed sweep that reality just dealt him. Breathing being problematic as he heaved oxygen through his lungs. His form shaking as fear and pain swallowed him while. Tears filled pinpointed ruby hues taken aback about what had happened. How could he say such horrific things? How could he hate him after everything they've been through?! Oxygen couldn't filter properly. He couldn't breathe right. He couldn't breathe. Why can't he breathe?

Maybe a cool wipe down with will through. Quietly splashing icy water along his face at the sink, he looks up into the mirror. The bags beneath his eyes are thick, eyes bloodshot from sobbing. He couldn't stand it. Teeth grit together in a snarl before tearing the mirror from wall and throwing it to the wall shattering into millions of pieces. He couldn't force the anger back. Kicking open the door he stormed out the cabin and chaos controlled to a large open field. He couldn't contain himself. The heavy breathing, the shaking form continued into ruin. His fortitude shattering as he collapsed into the field into a fit of sobs.

His heart couldn't bare it. His heart couldn't withstand the weight of overbearing guilt that he destroyed the only thing good he had in his life. He ruined the only thing that gave him purpose. After close to an hour of crying until his tears no longer fell and his person no longer quaked, only silence and longing filled his form.

"Tsk, tsk hedgehog. You look so lost in this world." The venomous voice flutters into the air directly behind Ruby. Unphased, he doesn't even turn. No grave for the demon was given.

How inexplicably cold of Ruby. Mephiles approached, grass crunching beneath heavy hover skates. "Not even a hello? How absurd. You've never been so callous before." He kneels down in the grass close behind the other. Gloved calloused hands coming to rest upon tense ebony shoulder. "You don't look so good, hedgehog." Ruby didn't falter. He didn't shudder or pull from the icy hold. Bloodshot eyes simply stared down into the jade blades beneath him. Tears once more traced his cheeks as reality overcast. Mephiles circled to be face to face with the other. His sullen gaze and palpable sorrow was such sweet victory. Its tinge sour and tart.

"You look as if your life has come barreling to a stop. Your distressed and lonely gaze tells me you are hanging by a thin wire. Is that correct, Shadow?" His tone soft with an unfamiliar and startling warmth. It's manipulative force ticking the logical parts of Ruby's mind. Why did it so open?

"Tell me, is this the life you want?" The question stated with a curious but open gaze. His nonexistent heart laid on the line for the other's wellbeing. "You've done your part, you know. You rebuilt an entire civilization to make up for your mistakes. You have nothing let to gain. So why continue at all? Why not finally let it all go and free yourself?"

Sable ears wilted. Free? Let it go? Why did it sound promising? Why did being set free of these chains finally open something in his chest? He was too lost. Too constricted by the others weighted words that it's burden blinded him from a dawning realization he'd been suffocating. Why was he still going? Mephiles watched the question go through his head through the shifting gaze and overthinking that led to shrunken rubies constantly shifting about to settle the tug of war going on in his subconscious.

"Your life is meaningless now."

"M-meaningless?" His parroting through a quivering façade and shattered confidence.

Mephiles cocked a brow. "What do you have left? I can tell just by your decrepit persona that you lost something important to you. And with deduction by reasoning I can assume that shattered bond is with none other then Sonic the hedgehog. Thee Sonic you primarily refer to as Spirit."

The name made him choke. His ears pressed into his head as tight as they could go. His face drenched in trains of tears, surfacing down to leave salt strains in his fur. "He--- he just--- h-h-he abandoned me... how--- *hic* how could he do that to me?!" His voice cracked and crumbled into cries once more.

"He was always a selfish person, wasn't he? He doesn't deserve you. No one truly does. You are an artistic envision of a perfect being. No one truly deserves you. Not even those who created you. Don't stay in a world that does nothing but use and abuse you."

"D-don't stay?" He quivered in a pleading but lost tone.

Mephiles eyes shifted, reflecting something of kindness and envy. "Don't let them destroy you. Let them all go. Let everything go. You'll be able to live a new life free of guilt or pain. No more hurting. None of this. You'd be free."

It teetering in his subconscious back and forth over and over as he battled the idea. His heart wasn't bare to take anymore pain and after being shattered to bits by the very same person that made it flutter was a devastating blow all together. He could be free. No more guilt or agony to gnaw at chest and leave him gasping. Be could be free. He wanted to be free. He didn't want to hurt anymore. He didn't want this pushing anxiety that left him unable to care or fend for himself.

He didn't have the ability to verbally commit to the idea. So he vaguely nodded, in a short way giving the go ahead to be set free. He felt Mephiles cold digits caress his shoulder lightly. He briefly looked at him. He saw... something flickered in previously softened calming eyes. They sharpened. Narrowed and hollowed as a smirk tore itself across his muzzle. He'd just been about to speak. About to comment on the newly portrayed malice but it hit him. A small sharp pain to the neck forcing him unconscious. Mephiles in one fellow sweep chopped him in the neck with his hand, knocking him out. His smirk grew, his attentions harrowing in defiance as he wrapped the others limp body with ebony tendrils and started to tug him into the dark.

"I do so love when a plan comes to fruition. Come now hedgehog, we go work to do." He hummed before following him into the darkness.
