i  really  make  gonzo  go  through  so  many  transitions  and  he  is  always  something  different  depending  on  who  he’s  around,  it’s  wild.  blacksmith  when  he’s  by  himself,  pirate  when  he’s  with  his  found  family / friends,  bog  demon  when  with  the  other  bogs.  no  wonder  he  has  an  identity  crisis  tbh  ( i  mean  it’s  the  trauma  of  losing  his  memory  and  getting  possessed  by  the  horned  king  too  but  anyways )

when it comes to shipping my muses are pretty open , its just I enjoy plotting any kind of romance or even use memes, that being said they are shippable its just they take a bit 

but if there is a muse or even oc I have that you would wanna give a try with, for shipping, I am normally open to talk about it

i’ve  finally  settled  on  gonzo’s  colour  palette.  i  just  think  it’s  neat.

Coming from my own immense interest and research into Feudal Japan and samurai. Masks were definitely worn, though it is hard to say how widespread they were, at least in combat. 

Called Men-yoroi, there were 4 known types. Hanbo which was basically a chin guard. 

Menoshitamen or Menpo covered the bottom half of the face under the eyes and covered the nose (Though it was sometimes detachable). This one was very popular in the edo period and is the most common one portrayed in media.

Somen covered the whole face and were sometimes multiple parts that could be worn separate. Though they were mostly worn for parades and social occasions and not combat.

Happuri covered the forehead and cheeks

There were Menoshitamen type masks in different styles including ones ones with a beak to resemble a tengu. Or if they had a long human nose they were meant to resemble the king of the Tengu, Sōjōbō

|| studies that i learned from.my japanese history classes and books that maguu kenki seemed to be based of samurais that wears tengu mask and oni mask.

Tengu mask is worn to look more ferocious and scary, as well to showcase the symbolism of master swordsmanship considering that tengus are known to be master swordsman.

Also his way of clothing, the armor resembles damyo uesegi kenshin which is called bishamonten yokai samurai armor. Makes me think mihoyo based him to uesegi too.

i finally finished the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
