the hole in his side felt like it had been burning for centuries now, as if he's lived with this sting his whole life. struggling to scramble to get his katana back into his hands to sheath it once more, hands shaking and unsteady. finally being able to do so, the other looked up at orihime who was making her way over to him. shaking his head, ryunosuke coughed a bit and wiped the his lips free of crimson stains with the back of his hand. before he knew it he was scooped up by the other, yelping and flailing a bit from surprise, trying to still his anxiety.
