It was truthfully a miracle that Viktor was even able to stand, let alone speak and smile to alleviate Yuuri’s obvious worry. When Yuuri had found Viktor, this wasn’t a sight he expected to see. This was something out of a nightmare.

He could feel his throat tighten, tears already collecting in his brown eyes. Taking in all the blood, the bruising and cuts... On his poor, poor precious Viktor. It sickened him, realising just how sickening people could be. It shook Yuuri down to his core.

He didn’t need to hear more from Viktor. Mainly because he understood, but he also didn’t want the other to strain himself anymore. He immediately pulls the older man into the comforts of his arms and just cradles him, choking on a slight sob. “I’m sorry, Viktor. I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you.” He had murmured over and over again. Maybe if he was there, he could have saved Viktor. Maybe taken most of the hits for him, to give him a chance to run away.

A hospital. . .with Viktor’s injuries, of course he would need one. Shaky hand rips his phone from his pocket as he immediately dials the emergency number. 119. He calls requesting an ambulance. His fiancé had gotten beaten and had a lot of concerning injuries. 

The call eventually ended with paramedics coming their way in several minutes and Yuuri took out a handkerchief, carefully wiping away the blood still dripping from Viktor’s nose. “D-Don’t worry. The ambulance is going to be here soon. And. . .and you’re going to be okay. You’re gonna be taken care of. I. . .I promise.”
