they fumbled you and they’re really going to regret it!especially because of how well your fp treats you & prioritizes your relationship. this ex has a BIG ass ego like the way they make everything about themselves is insane?! this person could be a fire sign – i’m picking up on some leo energy. they’re in disbelief that you moved on from them, and found someone wayyyy better that fulfills you in so many ways that they couldn’t possibly measure up to. they might create fake pages or reach out to you repeatedly trying to win you back over…it’s shameful honestly. from the outside looking in, your relationship with your fp is going to look so lowkey + private yet so warm + stable. you or your fp could have scorpio/taurus placements, but i just feel like neither of you are the type to post every single thing you do together on social media but people will know that’s YOUR FP, YOUR FP, YOUR FP! like don’t play!

y’all will make it very known that y’all are a couple, but people will not be all up in the mix because y'all simply don’t want them to be. they’ll see little hints and clues that you’re off the market, but this relationship is for you two, not everyone else. i can see you both posting things like holding hands, dinner dates, taking long walks together, an off guard while one of you is doing something, etc. just cute moments that only show a small glimpse of the immense love you two share on a day to day basis.

um pile 3 why is this energy a bit messyyyy, hold awn?! your relationship with your future partner might be different from what you perceive, or at least that’s how the public views it. take that with a grain of salt, but i feel like this relationship is going to have its ups and downs and it’s going to reflect on y’alls social medias.

you or your future partner might be the type to get emotional and act out by reposting different quotes on your IG story or tiktoks that relate to your situation, might even go as far as posting cryptic messages to allude that you two are on the outs. you and your fp know how to push each other’s buttons, and it honestly can get petty between you both. someone is not fully healed from their previous relationship in this connection & the unresolved baggage is carrying over into this one. idk, pile 3. for some of you this could be a karmic relationship and for others of you this could be baggage on your end that you need to work through in order for you to be in a stable relationship.

there seems to be a lot of wishy-washy energy, and people might perceive your relationship as having a 'one minute they're together, the next minute they're not' type of vibe. also, i’m picking up on a third-party situation where either you or your partner is keeping someone on the back burner without completely closing the door.

honestly, people might be amused by this and say things like, 'OMG, go check [Y/N]’s IG story and go see what [Y/FP] posted,' which only fuels the mind games being played. ultimately, i think this relationship will teach you about healthy boundaries and what you are and aren’t willing to tolerate, especially in public. it’s messy because this third party keeps interfering and amplifying the situation to make it worse. the ball is ultimately in your court, pile 3. you’ll know what to do.

okay so uhhhhh this may look off topic from all things I’ve been uploading to this blog, but lemme explain lol:

This is like a super weird excuse but— I’m on college and our marketing teacher asked the whole class for our social media…. She assigned us to schedule posts from Nov 11 to Dec 11 and is gonna be checking we at least upload something new twice a week xD

I don’t have enough material to post from Parental Control AU; although I’m planning new things for it, I highly doubt I’ll have enough time to make at least two comics per week (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀)

🗝️🥁 | Eren:

Eren gets a guitar for his birthday in late elementary school and doesn't really touch it much until one day when Mikasa comes over and tells him how cool it is. Then he starts teaching himself.

Eren plays a song in their middle school’s talent show because he secretly (but oh so obviously) wants to impress Mikasa, but his hands are so shaky and he’s so nervous that he kinda bombs it. Jean makes fun of him, and without hesitation, Eren goes swinging.

Heated, Jean makes a snarky comment about drums being a better instrument for Eren because it’d “help him vent his anger issues.”

Months later, Jean buys him drumsticks as a joke gift for a Secret Santa event. Eren takes this as a challenge.

Fast forward to "Mikasa and the Titans" as a band, Eren is their drummer and he’s amazing at it (though he will never, ever thank Jean for the inspiration).

He occasionally helps write songs too, but he’s not as good at expressing himself, and his writing is kind of juvenile.

Armin still encourages him to try, and together with Mikasa, he embellishes and translates Eren's verses.

Eren also knows how to sing but doesn't like to as much. It feels like more of a private thing to him.

Sometimes Armin will write songs for him though because he loves his voice. These songs are usually slower, more somber, and quite stripped back. Often it’s Eren singing with his guitar, Armin on keys, and Mikasa harmonizing with him.

During performances, Eren sings his one or two songs last and it’s always a surprise to the audience when he stands from his drum set. No one expects it, but he’s really good.

When he sings he goes off into another world and it’s almost as if he forgets he’s on stage.

He’s definitely the most mysterious of the group—he probably posts the least on social media, but he's still a fan favorite.

On the side, Eren posts some metal covers on youtube. He doesn’t advertise it at all—even Mikasa and Armin have to come across it themselves without him telling them. (Mikasa gets very upset he kept it a secret and he has to apologize profusely.)

He has an impressive metal growl akin to his canon titan roars.

🧣🎸 | Mikasa:

As a kid, Mikasa is by no means musically inclined. Her parents force her to do piano lessons for a while, but she quits out of frustration.

This all changes in elementary school when she sees Eren get a guitar, inspiring her desire to learn as well.

At first, she borrows Eren's guitar a lot and gets him to teach her chords and strumming patterns (and he likes to act all annoyed about it, but it's so clear he enjoys helping her).

Eventually, her parents buy Mikasa her own guitar for her birthday, and from then on, she starts learning more on her own. Sometimes she and Eren still play together though.

Mikasa is a fast learner and incredibly determined, so her skills progress quickly and she’s soon surpassing even Eren. (It makes him feel a little bad, but that feeling is almost immediately replaced with strong admiration.)

She starts learning how to sing too. She develops a silvery, sweet, and clear tone that grows more intense when she sings passionate songs.

At some point, Armin confides in Mikasa his hidden passion for writing poetry, and Mikasa creates melodies on her guitar inspired by his work—sometimes even singing his words aloud. (It makes him feel flustered at first, but it soon evolves into the two of them creating experimental acoustic songs together for fun.)

Mikasa has an undeniable stage presence. She is confident, and the way she plays the guitar as she sings seems almost effortless. She has a very devoted fanbase of people who simp over her and her cool energy.

Mikasa manages their group’s Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter accounts, (because Eren is too chronically offline to understand marketing, and Armin is a bit of a boomer with internet jargon and memes). so the fans get to interact with her the most.

She posts a lot of OOTDs and sneak peeks of upcoming songs on her Instagram story.

Many of their fans rely on her stories to get a glimpse of what Eren is actually like because he never posts and has a habit of blocking people on Twitter who say things about their band that annoy him (i.e. rumors about him having a thing for Mikasa because of the way he looked over at her during one of the recorded performances…).

Mikasa takes her musical career very seriously and is constantly on that grindset mindset.

She’s always coming up with new melodies on her guitar and sending voice recordings late at night in their group chat. It’s something fun for her to do and it comes so naturally.

🐚🎹 | Armin:

Armin takes piano lessons as a child and is literally a prodigy. He plays at all of their school’s holiday ceremonies and even participates in (and wins) competitions.

He is extremely talented: he has perfect pitch, starts learning to compose his own songs at an early age, and gets amazing grades on top of it all. He is a hardworking kid.

Along with his musical interest, Armin has also always been interested in literature and writing (He grows up to be an English or Linguistics major for sure).

He goes everywhere with a book in hand.

He enjoys telling Eren about the books he reads, and Eren listens diligently. It’s easy and comfortable to tell him things as he always seems genuinely interested in what Armin has to say, no matter the subject.

Armin develops an interest in poetry in middle school and even starts a journal where he writes his own.

He’s extremely shy about his writing at first, only really showing Mikasa because he's too embarrassed to show Eren (not because he thinks Eren will make fun of him—he just really looks up to Eren).

Mikasa inspires him to combine his two passions of music and writing by composing pieces to accompany his poetry.

It moves him how Mikasa is so captivated by his writing that she wants to help him with his music too.

In their band, Mikasa is the main singer, but Armin can also sing a little. He has a higher range and does harmonies for her in some of their songs.

It's not his thing though, so he doesn't sing otherwise.

Armin has to force Eren and Mikasa to study with him sometimes because they tend to neglect their schoolwork due to their extreme engrossment in their music.

Despite his devotion to school, Armin still does a lot of work for the band when he has time.

He’s the one who contacts venues in the area for them to perform at. He handles a lot of their social ventures despite his anxious and non-confrontational nature.

Armin really enjoys being in the band—he likes being around his friends more than anything in the world. And hearing his written words turning into beautifully layered noise makes him giddy to no end.

⭐️ mini ask post (sorry some of these are late)!

i'm glad you found it helpful! i work full time as a studio designer now but as a freelancer it would depend on the project... a lot of times clients would have a budget, so they'd set a flat rate and i'd negotiate from there (with varying results). disclaimer that these are junior rates and i live in the uk where the pay is notoriously bad, even in london:

for context, i mostly did hand-drawn animation for social media/marketing/tv ads - i had jobs ranging from £2k for ~12 secs of animation (though this was inclusive of storyboarding and character designs) to £600 for a whole-ass 90 sec film (also including storyboards/designs/edits). i wouldn't use the latter as a reference point because i was definitely being lowballed and if it were up to me i'd charge way higher LOL but as a graduate i ended up taking on those briefs for my portfolio and they did lead to me getting more work, for what it's worth. for comparison, i've talked to more established freelancers who'd ballpark £8-12k for a 2 min animation over a ~2 month production schedule.

my illustration work (mostly editorial gigs) would vary depending on the drawing's complexity/usage/client budget... but it was typically about £100-150 per illustration (also not great, but people kept telling me this was normal for a graduate so i just accepted it, despite being, like, fully rendered illustrations with bgs). again, i would price things differently if it were completely up to me, especially since i'm more confident with my style now, but i would honestly ask more experienced illustrators for better reference. i wanted to offer up my experience anyway bc i think it's beneficial to have transparent conversations about pay in this industry.

oh, and i do basically all of my illo/animation work in photoshop on my 8 year-old laptop (+ premiere pro for compositing), with a wacom intuos tablet... i don't necessarily recommend this equipment because 1) adobe is dudu, and 2) i recently started drawing on an ipad with procreate and it feels so much better than drawing on desktop, and i will probably upgrade my setup when i can comfortably afford to lol

in reference to these figurines - i used white air dry clay from hobbycraft! painted over with acrylics (and clay varnish, though that didn't seem to do much)

Haya, suffers from severe allergy to penicillin-derived medications, and her sister, Amal, also suffers from severe allergies to medications such as Paracetamol and Ibuprofen. They fear of being given inappropriate medications due to the unavailability of suitable treatments in Gaza, and not being able to inform doctors about all this.

Haya's father owned a food factory that produced a popular dish called "Maf'toul," named "Couscos Al-Sham." He established it in 1996 and distributed its products to all markets in the Gaza Strip, both north and south. Recently, he was seeking to export his product outside the Gaza Strip. However, when the war came, his factory was completely destroyed, ceased operation, and Haya's father's income became zero.

They're freelancing graphic designers and programmers, but their workplace was destroyed too. Haya's younger sister was studying to become an architect and built a more beautiful Gaza, but even the universities got bombed. "Despite this, she continues to dream, working diligently to rebuild Gaza, to achieve her vision of a city full of life and beauty. Her story remains a story of resilience and hope, carrying within it a strong determination to succeed despite all challenges."

The goal of this fundraising campaign is to rescue Haya's family through the Rafah Crossing to Egypt, which currently requires $5000 per person.

Happy Anniversary to Studio Hromi LLC

Sliding in on the last day of the month here to celebrate the official 4-year anniversary of Studio Hromi. Though I was technically freelancing on and off in some capacity since 2014, it became a full-time job and the business was founded in August 2019.

Some interesting milestones and achievements that have occurred between August 2022 and August 2023:

⭐️ Worked with ~40 different clients on more than 70 projects, medical illustration and otherwise ⭐️ Sold merchandise at 3 different retail locations in Grand Rapids ⭐️ Participated in 19 different art markets ⭐️ Got more involved with the Association of Medical Illustrators as Chair of the Membership Committee and as a Mentor ⭐️ Joined Dinderbeck ⭐️ Finished my first large mural ⭐️ Collaborated with the Grand Rapids Public Museum as a visual artist for Concerts Under the Stars ⭐️ Enrolled in classes to prepare for the CMI exam

Goals and things I'm looking forward to in the near future and the next year of business:

⭐️ Take the CMI exam ⭐️ Share my knowledge more, whether that's through lectures, workshops, or online tutorials ⭐️ Find a way to make social media work for me; I've found the internet to be a huge bummer lately overall, so it would be nice to find some comfortable corners of it where I can share my work with success and joy ⭐️ Network with other medical illustrators more often

‼️PARIS DAILLENCOURT IS ABOUT TO CRUMBLE SPOILERS ‼️

I kept hearing this song when reading. It's so fitting to Tariq as he tried to navigate his and Paris' relationship during Bake Expectations. The way he was often the one thing holding Paris together when Paris was always wrapped up in his own head and his own intrusive thoughts. Often ignoring Tariq's needs(unintentionally, but still wrong).

That fight when Paris couldn't even congratulate Tariq on his win and instead was completely consumed in his own mediocre bake was such a moment. Those last verses capture that so well. I'll never forget my face when Paris couldn't even tell Tariq he wanted him. God. This book was so stressful and sad. idk why people say it's a rom com 😅 it's nothing like Boyfriend Material, where it's a Rom Com with the psychological stuff in there. this book was ALL about Paris' crippling GAD(with a VERY SMALL amount of romance) and honestly it was kinda triggering and hard to read. The marketing for this book is misleading in my honest opinion.

Still really enjoyed it. I liked Paris even though he upset me with some of his only child behavior, but I did see myself in him with his GAD.

I LOVED Tariq. Tariq is one of my fave love interests I've read and reminds me SO MUCH of Dorian from DA:I and that's high praise. I also loved the representation that Tariq brought. He's a Muslim, openly gay man. And his family is so loving and accepting. I think that's so beautiful and wonderful to incorporate. And the religious conversations were well navigated and thoughtful(not on Paris' part but he apoligizes for that).

I also liked that we saw Paris getting help and improving. And that it was OK and healthy for Tariq to end things and wait for Paris to be healthier. It doesn't make him a bad person to not want to be the thread holding him together. I just do wish it happened sooner. Because it was 250 pages of every interaction the two had ending in some kind of meltdown(for lack of better word) or Paris saying something insensitive, and very little(almost no) successful romantic moments to buffer out those stressful moments. I also wish we got more of the social media part at the end because that was a draw for me reading the book. I LOVE reading how the people in the world are reacting to characters who are somewhat public figures. It makes it feel more real to our world. Also would've loved to see Tariq defend Paris on social media. Maybe that's a little fanficcy but I love that shit.

Loved the whole baking competition thing and glad we are getting more!!!

Loved Paris coming to terms with his shitty parents and not letting them into his headspace anymore.

I would've liked to see more of Healthy Paris and Tariq because they were so cute for the 3 seconds we got it!
