you can read the first part here but i think it’s not that necessary lol
Pairing. Mingyu x y/n x Wonwoo
Genre. angst / ugly break up, mention of accusing of cheating
Summary. Mingyu doesn’t want to be that person he hates the most, who regrets everything later and realizes how precious one is after that person is not within his reach anymore. Unfortunately it is probably already too late
a/n: i used to have the longer version of his in my draft but tumblr didn’t let me save it and it got lost just like that.
Tumblr media
He had been declining your intention to meet in person. It had been 5 days since he got discharged and went back home. You sent text messages to him everyday, asking if you could come over. He kept making excuses, saying he wanted to rest or he didn't feel good. Frankly he never felt good since Wonwoo visited him in the hospital. He knew once he agreed to meet you, it would be over that instant. It was difficult to get a wink of sleep. Every time he closed his eyes, Wonwoo's words kept echoing in his ears.
It's now a waiting game. She wouldn't want to be associated with you. She probably regrets knowing a Kim Mingyu. It's now a waiting game. Enjoy while it lasts. Being Y/N's boyfriend.
One day, it seemed you had reached the peak of frustration and it showed in your most recent text. 'Mingyu, I don't know how to put it into words. But I really need to talk to you and I don't think I can hold it any longer. If we can't meet, then I think I should just tell you through text.' Even Mingyu could hear the way you talked.
Without thinking, Mingyu called you right away. He was afraid to receive more texts from you because he knew what you would say. The idea of being dumped through text was scarier than he thought.
"Y/N?" "How are you doing?" "I'm.. good, I guess." "Look, I..." "After lunch. Is that okay?" he asked weakly. "Okay. I'll bring your favorite bread pudding." "No need to. I'm good." Mingyu tried hard not to choke himself when he realized tears were ready to stream down his cheeks. "But still.." "Y/N?" "Yeah?" "I love you." It was odd even for him to say it now. "Oh.." You sounded taken aback. You paused, not knowing what to say. "Anyway, I'm hanging up first," Mingyu continued. He knew he can’t take it anymore.
He dragged his feet to wash his face. His mother was excited to hear that you would come over. She had no idea that you coming just for one purpose only; to end everything with her son. Mingyu had to force a smile and lie that he and you were fine.
Mingyu’s mother escorted you directly to the son’s room as you arrived. You found Mingyu sitting up on his bed, staring at nothing. His mother had to call him to snap him back to reality before leaving his bedroom.
You sat on the other edge of his bed. "Mingyu, I’ll just be straight to the point. About us..."
“Wait,” he interrupted with a weak voice. “I'll get you some cake Joshua brought yesterday. You'll love it.” Then he got up, leaving you in his bedroom for a moment.
You sighed. This should be easy.
Mingyu came back with a little smile, two plates of strawberry cake were on his hands. "Joshua is learning to bake. He's not on my level yet but the taste is not bad."
You smiled listening to him.
"Seungkwan just arrived from Jeju yesterday and brought some tangerines. I think my mom has prepared some for you too." He kept on going about his friends. Jeonghan finally going official with his girl friend. Seungcheol planning to go mount climbing with his gym buddies. Seokmin making new friends with some guys in the office. Until he was running out of his friends' life updates, Mingyu eventually slowed down talking.
"Can I have my turn to talk?" you asked, trying to read his mood carefully. He had been smiling a lot when he rambled about his buddies. You just didn't know—or maybe you just didn't care that much anymore that the smiley face was just a disguise.
No. Don't.. Mingyu now wore an expressionless face, his eyes locked on yours. He wished you could read his mind. He didn't dare to say 'don't say a word' right into your face.
"Mingyu, I.. I don't think we can, I can.. now it's just..." Why was it so hard to you to complete your sentence? It used to be easy with your previous boyfriends.
"Don't.." he mumbled.
"What?"
He shook his head slowly. His jaw was clenched, teeth gritted as he almost blurted it out. Don't continue. Don't speak a word..
Inhaling deeply, you continued. "Mingyu, don’t you think it would be better to end—"
"Y/N, please tell me we'll be alright," he cut in. His eyes looked desperate, searching for mercy while gazing deeply directly at yours. He gripped your hands, continuing, "I was wrong. We should have never fought. I messed up. The fault was all mine."
"Mingyu.."
"I'll do anything. Anything for you to forgive me. I will not ask anything about you and Wonwoo anymore. If you want to hang out with Wonwoo on weekends, you can go and I won't say anything. If you guys want to have your exclusive movie night, or game night, or even sleepover, it's okay, I won't question you anymore." He put his head down as he started to sniffle.
‘Seriously? You never got jealous over Chaeyeon just once?’ Mingyu asked one day, fascinated by the fact that you were his first girlfriend that never questioned about his best friend who was a girl.
‘Why should I?’ you chuckled. ‘I also have Wonwoo, remember?’
‘We’re definitely the coolest couple,’ he cheered happily.
Both Mingyu and you had been understanding about your respective best friends. You had no problem with Mingyu going out with Chaeyeon even when it was just the two of them. Mingyu also used to be fine when you had to cancel your dates because Wonwoo needed you. Until it didn’t work that way anymore one day.
"Mingyu, don't be like this."
"I'm sorry," he sobbed harder as he squeezed your hands. "If I have to beg on my knees, I will. So, please, let this stay in the past and we'll start anew."
You stayed still, feeling uneasy as you watched Mingyu weeping his eyes out. He kept mumbling 'I'm sorry's and 'this is all my fault's desperately.
"Mingyu, stop crying. Your mother will think I'm being violent to you." You reached out your thumbs to wipe off the tears all over his face. Contrasting the affectionate gestures, your tone sounded cold and your expression was dull. Or maybe irritated. That was what he thought judging from your frown.
Mingyu held your hands cupping his own cheeks. "Y/N, please?"
You quickly pulled your hands away. "Mingyu, let's give ourselves some more time to think, okay?"
"Mingyu?" You were flustered to see him in front of your door. More than a week had passed and you hadn’t seen him again to finish the last hanging conversation. You never expected him to come to you first like this.
"Y/N.." A smile—a bittersweet one—slowly crept up his lips, showing off his canine. He didn't look as content like he used to. His eyes couldn't even hide his sadness and he looked unsure of what he was doing. But from the way he called your name, there was a longing feeling in his voice.
"I'm sorry but you should go home, Mingyu," was all you could say.
He should know better that his presence was unexpected and probably unwanted. "I don't want to. It kills me inside to be home alone. It feels like dying to think that you're not within my reach, that you're so distant from me. Y/N, if you want to despise me, you can. If yelling at me can relieve your frustration, yell at me and I won't talk back. Y/N, please, just hate me for the rest of your life but please don't be like this. I can't stand this cold shoulders, it's torturing me. I just want to be a part of your life, as a person who can have all your trust, as a person who will always believe in you and be by your side, as a person who loves you with all my heart."
A cynical tsk was suddenly heard. Without making a sound, Wonwoo was approaching your side with his light steps just like a cat. "You finish with your words?"
"Jeon Wonwoo.. what—" He choked on his own words, effectively stopping himself from doing what he used to do; questioning your intimate friendship with Wonwoo. A train of memories of you and him arguing in a big fight suddenly slipped across his mind.
'What is exactly your relationship with Wonwoo? You often ditch me for him. Is he really that important and I'm not? I'm your boyfriend, Y/N.' 'Are you seeing him behind my back? Are you fucking him?' You thought you could hold it in, but not with him accusing you like this. 'Mingyu, you sound crazy, do you know that? Are you hearing yourself?' you snapped. 'I sound crazy right now? How about you always saying 'Wonwoo this' and 'Wonwoo that', when I am literally your boyfriend who puts you, my girlfriend, on top of my priority list?' 'Do you know how many times I have to hold myself back, because I don't want to be that insecure bitch saying 'don't go with Wonwoo', 'do you have to go with Wonwoo?' and 'I don't like it when you go out with Wonwoo'?' 'Are you playing with me now? Am I just a toy?' 'Is it fun two-timing me over your so-called best friend?' 'Two-tim— Mingyu, you—' That was the first time you raised your voice to him that you wanted to slap him hard. But you didn’t. 'Okay. Let's do this. Is it me or is it Wonwoo?' 'Mingyu, you're out of your mind!' you almost shrieked. 'I ask you one more time, is it me or is it Wonwoo?' 'I really can't do this. Fine if you really want to hear my answer. Sorry, Mingyu, good bye.' It hit him. 'Y/N! You didn't mean it, did you?' 'Sorry, Mingyu.. Wonwoo and I value our friendship in a way you will never understand. Wonwoo it is,’ you told him as you started to walk away. It hit him hard. He quickly reached your arms. The last thing he would want was regretting his decision and realizing how precious one is after losing her. 'Y/N! No, no, no. Forget what I asked. I can't lose you like this!' A heavy sigh escaped your mouth along with tears streaming down your cheek. 'Mingyu, I'm tired. I don't want to hurt you anymore. You're tired of that too, right?' you weakly said as you wiped your tears. With him not saying anything anymore, you left him without turning back.
Mingyu recalled one of the ugliest fight between you. It was painful to remember all the following parts when you gave up talking to him. When you chose Wonwoo over him. When you said you were tired of hurting him. When he just realized what he did wrong when you disappeared from his sight.
"If your business is done here, you should go home. Or are you going to ask why I'm here?" Wonwoo cooed.
Mingyu tried to ignore him. He turned to look at you, but you still looked unfazed, looking away as you crossed your arms. "I.. didn't know Wonwoo was here.."
A mocking chuckle escaped his mouth, scratching another wound to Mingyu's pride. "I am her best friend. I am here all the time. As a matter of fact, we were fucking. But you disturbed us."
To be honest, you were shocked to hear Wonwoo talking like that. On a normal daily basis, he was calm and speak nothing but good words. He never got himself involved in a cat fight. Except, when it comes to you, he will never hesitate to throw hands at anyone who dares messing up with you.
"No need to be surprised, right?" Wonwoo continued. "You said it yourself. You asked Y/N once, right? I guess you were very curious about whether she and I fuck each other. We do, Mingyu. We do."
You remained silent. Partially it was because you were taken aback at Wonwoo's odd behavior. He didn't usually get mad easily. You knew he would always take your side. But at the same time, maybe Wonwoo being like this would help to make Mingyu go away.
Mingyu was trembling on his spot. "Y/N, please say something," he weakly pleaded. At this moment he couldn't even tell if Wonwoo was just talking bullshit or it was actually the truth. Back in the days, when he confronted you about it, you immediately said no. For now he just wanted to believe what you said weeks ago.
Your mouth was sealed. Your eyes travel to take a glance at the tall guy just to flash him a dark, cold expression of yours before looking at the ground again.
“Y/N, please..” He was on the brink of crying.
You looked up and found his teary eyes. “You didn’t believe me when I said no. So what makes it different if you do  now? It won’t change anything anyways.”
"The real question is, Mingyu, what are you doing here?" Again, Wonwoo retorted, smirking, folding his arms on his chest. Surprisingly this gesture made him even more intimidating despite his slim figure. His victorious, confident smile definitely was what made him look superior. “Oh, right!” he continued, chuckling—mocking, “After a lot of things happened, I almost forget you’re still Y/N’s boyfriend. Or are you not anymore?”
You noticed how uncomfortable Mingyu was standing before you. At the same time, you were also reminded how he doubted your friendship with Wonwoo, how he always suspected you and Wonwoo, until he wrongfully accused you. Then you remembered what he said days ago, about him not saying anything about Wonwoo anymore. It turned out you still have a heart to not let Mingyu break down completely. The big, tall guy clearly had no idea what to do, or what to say. He was tense, nervous and restless, knowing that his presence unwanted. Even the habit of brushing his fringe back was only done once since he came; usually he did it thousands times and you used to mimic him on behalf of his friend, Seokmin.
You softly asked Wonwoo to go back to your kitchen to check on the scone you two made, and thankfully he obeyed you. Even when he left you, his victorious smrik wouldn't disappear as he kept eyeing the taller guy.
"Mingyu, it's not healthy for us—for you, to keep it this way," you uttered. "You should stop apologize too. It's already in the past. Even I won't bring it up again. You will be forgiven, I promise, but not now. For now, I think it’s best for us to go on our own."
"Please, give us another chance," he sobbed, his voice cracking.
You heard Wonwoo calling your name, followed by an unclear mumbles. But you sure did hear that your scone was failing.
"Mingyu, I'm sorry but I'm running late for Wonwoo's mom's birthday dinner." You looked concerned, but definitely not apologetic.
All energy in Mingyu's legs felt like vanishing totally. His stomach was filled by lots of emotion—mostly anger to himself, that he felt sick. He wasn't sure if he could support himself to stand straight and walk properly. Why did he even pick up a fight with you and vomit hurtful words, that you can't bear with him anymore?
"You see, there are some of your stuff here, and I should give it back to you but it's a mess right now. I'll have your stuff delivered to your house tomorrow."
Eventually Mingyu went down on his knees, still crying.
Wonwoo just shouted your name again. "Coming!" you exclaimed.
“What are those?” he asked between his sniffles, rather in horror as he noticed a box filled with various things. What he saw there shook him even more.
Confused why he suddenly talked about anything else, you looked at the box as if it was nothing. The only thing visible to your eyes was an old scarf that Wonwoo unintentionally burned one day. So you assumed it was just a pile of useless stuff he found in your house. “I don’t know. Wonwoo has been decluttering the whole day. I think he’s going to throw them away.”
Mingyu’s heart sank again. How can you not see what was in that box? A snow globe he got for you when he traveled to Japan. A couple bracelet that he made it himself. Mini photo frames that had him and you in the pictures, smiling so happily. There were still other small stuff that he noticed which were gifts from him. And you said so easily that they were going to end in a dump.
"Mingyu, please?" Squatting down to be in the same eye level with him, finally you looked at him in the eyes, hoping that he would get it that him leaving was one thing you were expecting at the moment. "If there is any other way, I would look for it. But if it means I have to cut Wonwoo off, I can't. I hope I have made myself clear, Mingyu."
"There must be some other way and you don’t have to cut Wonwoo off. Let's look for it, together. Please?"
Shoulders shrugging and head tilting slowly at your side, you looked unsure with your brows furrowed. "I don't think so, Mingyu," you said, shaking your head. "You said it yourself, that we were a mistake."
"That— I don't mean—"
"Mingyu, you should never repeat the same mistake. You don’t want to get hurt for the second time."

Hitomi had hoped that it would all be easy, but in the back of her mind, she had known better. When she first debuted in IZ*ONE, both nervous and excited for the future, disbandment had seemed so far away. When she was making friends and getting closer to her members, she had felt like she had all the time in the world. The promised disbandment didn’t seem real yet.
But it had been real, and as happy as she was to finally go home once her contract was over, it was hard for her to leave the place that had become her second home. She felt as if a piece of her heart was ripped out of her chest as she said her tearful goodbyes, hardly able to imagine what her life would be like when she went back to Japan.
Especially when she had been forced to leave you.
Hitomi had known that getting into a relationship with you was risky. She had known that the two of you had limited time together. But she’d fallen in love before she knew what was happening, unable to control her heart when you laughed or gave her that dazzling smile of yours. Love hit her fast and hard and left her breathless, falling deeper and deeper for you each day. And she knew it was love because of how much her heart ached when she broke up with you the day she left for Japan, every part of her begging her not to go. To stay with you forever.
But she couldn’t. She had no choice but to leave. So she had kissed you one last time and had apologized before she turned and headed into the security line, looking back over her shoulder until she could no longer see you through the crowd.
Even know, months later, she was still hurting.
Her friends and family had welcomed her home with open arms, but she couldn’t help thinking that she would rather it be you holding onto her. Almost every night, she dreamed of you-your smile, your voice, your laugh, the way your lips felt against hers, the way you smelled when you hugged her-she remembered every little thing in her dreams and often woke up crying, overwhelmed by the feeling of loneliness that always washed over her when she woke up knowing you weren’t just a call away.
She had broken your heart and had destroyed her own in the process, all because she was too selfish and dated you even though she knew the would have to leave. And she often hated herself for it.
“It’s not your fault, falling in love isn’t a bad thing,” Nako once told her after the disbandment as the two of them sat on Hitomi’s bed, painting their nails and reminiscing about Korea. “I did too. It was natural. What I don’t understand is why the two of you didn’t try long distance before breaking up.” Nako had left Eunbi behind when they disbanded, but the difference was that the two of them had decided to try being a long distance couple before breaking up. Hitomi had to admit that she was jealous, both of her and Sakura, who had Chaeyeon. Their girlfriends were idols and had already travelled to Japan once, but with her relationship.... It was different.
“I didn’t want to put (Y/N) through that,” Hitomi said with a small sigh, leaning back against the wall and staring up at her ceiling. “They aren’t an idol or anything, you know? It worked when I was in Korea because they lived nearby and I would always come back to the dorms whenever we had breaks, but now that I’m in Japan and working again, I can’t just walk down the street to see them after schedules are finished. I don’t have enough time to fly to Korea and I didn’t want to pressure them into coming to see me. So I decided to break up with them so that they weren’t pressured. I didn’t want to drag them into the craziness.” Her voice was lower than usual, a sad tinge to her tone as she closed her eyes, trying not to cry. This was her decision, she couldn’t cry now.
“I don’t think they would have seen it like that. Sure, long distance sucks, but it’s better than nothing.” Nako scooted closer and pulled the other girl into a hug, sympathetic. “(Y/N) loved you. I’m sure they would have wanted to stay together.”
“Yeah.” Hitomi choked up, the tears slipping out despite her efforts to keep herself calm. “But I love them too much to put them through the pain of being apart. I want them to find someone who won’t have to leave them and who can stay by their side. They deserve that much.”
“Oh, Hitomi,” Nako hugged her tighter as Hitomi began to sob. “You’re too nice for your own good.”
-
By the time her first birthday back in Japan rolled around, Hitomi had gotten used to dealing with the dreams and the feelings. Instead of thinking about her heartache, she threw herself into her work, which wasn’t hard. Her life was already busy enough to make her forget about anything outside of dancing and singing.
Well, almost. Sometimes she would look into the mirror and wonder when the dark circles had gotten so bad, or she would see something that reminded her of you and would have to hold back the tears threatening to overflow. But she found that if she worked hard enough, she would fall into bed and be asleep before any of the thoughts came in to keep her awake. She would still meet you again in her dreams, but when she woke up, she would scrub away the tears and throw herself right back into her work, repeating the cycle all over again.
She worked hard to forget, so when her friends told her they had gotten her a day off to throw her a birthday party, she almost wanted to tell them that she would rather work instead. But she couldn’t say no. Not when she realized how much she was hurting her friends by not making time for them.
“It’s like you’re not around these days, I feel like I lost you. We miss you, Hitomi,” Sakura told her over the phone, the hurt evident in her voice. “You need to take a break and get out. Have some fun for the first time in a while.”
Hitomi bit her lip and frowned, annoyed at herself. She had never meant to hurt anyone, least of all her friends. It wasn’t their fault that she had to break up with you. So she sighed and agreed to go, promising to try and have fun. “You’re right. I really do need to get out, and I’m sorry that I haven’t done that recently. I’ll see you all there, I promise.”
-
When her birthday finally rolled around, she slept in for the first time since she left Korea and woke up feeling refreshed even though (or maybe because) she ended up dreaming of hugging you again. For some reason, she was feeling better today, and she stretched as she got out of bed, making a mental note to thank her friends. Her body really did need a rest.
She took her time getting ready, even though it felt strange not to rush. Instead of eating a hurried breakfast, she cooked what she could and sat by the window, drinking tea and reading through all the birthday messages she’d received that morning. One particular name made her heart pang, though, and her lip trembled as she opened the message.
-Hey, happy birthday! I hope you have a good day!
The two of you had stayed friends and this wasn’t the first time you’d sent her a text, but it felt different today. You’d remembered her birthday despite how awful she’d been to you. Swallowing, she typed out a thank you and quickly closed the message, not wanting to cry even though her throat burned. No, she couldn’t cry. She was going to go out with her friends and she was going to have fun. She had made a promise and she was determined to keep it.
After taking a few deep breaths and calming herself down, she finished her late breakfast and went about busying herself cleaning the place and choosing what she wanted to wear. She had promised to go out, but that didn’t mean that she couldn’t keep herself busy at home until then.
She had to do something, or she would end up breaking her heart all over again.
-
By the time it was time to leave, she had cleaned her room twice and had tried on at least ten different outfits before deciding on a simple jeans and sweater look, topped off with a cute beret. Before leaving, she stared at herself in the mirror and frowned.
“You’re going to go out and have fun today, Hitomi. Both for your friends and for yourself.” She wasn’t sure how much she believed in her own words, but she straightened her shoulders, grabbed her bag, and headed out all the same, determined to make good on her promise.
Apparently her friends had rented out an entire arcade, and her eyes widened as she approached, sucking in a breath and staring in awe at the building. It wasn’t as large as most of the other arcades (hence why they were able to rent it for a private party) but it was still large and had everything she could possibly want to do inside, including even a small bowling area.
“We went all out for you,” Nako said as she pulled Hitomi inside, smiling from ear to ear. “What do you think?”
“I think it’s amazing,” Hitomi breathed, smiling a real smile for the first time in a long time. “Seriously? This is all for us?”
“Seriously!” Sakura answered, bouncing with excitement as she pointed out everything. “We can order food and everything, isn’t that awesome?”
“You guys didn’t have to do all of this for me.”
“Yes we did, we wanted to see you smile again, and we succeeded.” Nako poked the other girl’s cheek, making her laugh. “There’s that dimpled smile that we all love!”
“Thank you. I really needed this.”
“We know.” Her friend Rino stepped out from the group of friends and fellow idols waiting inside with a smile. “That’s why we rented this place to shower you with gifts. Welcome back, Hitomi!”
“But that isn’t all,” Sakura interjected, her eyes sparkling. “We have a little surprise for you.”
“A bigger surprise than all of this?”
“You could say that.” Nako turned back to look at the girls as she spoke, exchanging glances that made Hitomi almost shiver in anticipation. Then everyone moved, revealing a set of doors, and her heart stopped.
The doors burst open to reveal the Korean members of IZ*ONE, all grinning and laughing as they ran in, popping little confetti guns and singing happy birthday. Hitomi’s mouth fell open and she felt tears welling up in her eyes for the second time that day as she stood frozen, wondering if she was dreaming as Yujin ran towards her and wrapped her up in a tight hug, yelling in her ear in a way that would have annoyed her before, but made her smile now.
“W-what are you-?” She was still too in shock to finish, cutting herself off as she stared at the girls in awe.
Eunbi stepped forward with an arm around Nako, her face flushed with happiness. “We wanted to be here with you for your birthday, it didn’t feel right not to celebrate it with you. And plus, we brought our own gift.”
“What? I really don’t need-.” Once again, she cut herself off, the words dying in her throat as the girls parted to reveal you hiding behind them, flowers in your arms and a tentative smile on your lips.
“Happy birthday, Hitomi,” you said, your voice surprisingly soft for the atmosphere. “Surprise?”
The tears that were welling up overflowed and she crouched onto the floor before her knees could give out, covering her face with her hands out of embarrassment. Immediately everyone rushed forward to console her, voices all mixing together as they spoke, but one voice stood out to her.
“Is this a good cry or a bad cry?” You sounded almost nervous to hear her answer as you crouched in front of her, touching her shoulder with a gentle, hesitant hand. Her body leaned into your touch without her permission and she shook her head, not wanting you to feel nervous in any way.
“It’s a good cry,” she said, her voice breaking, and multiple sighs of relief echoed through the arcade, including yours.
“Good, because I would have felt really bad if I made you bad cry on your birthday.”
She sniffled and wiped at her face, then looked up at you only to burst into tears again. “You’re really here?” She asked, as if she couldn’t believe this was happening, and you nodded, a soft smile on your lips. God, how she had missed that smile.
“I’m really here.”
A wave of emotions crashed over her as she tried to regain her composure, overwhelmed by the surprises her friends had planned for her. She felt guilty and selfish and happy and nervous all at once, making her stomach twist into a knot that there was only one solution for, even if she felt bad asking for it.
“Can I have a hug?” It sounded a bit pathetic to her, but all around, her friends cooed and your smile widened as you leaned forward, holding her in a tight, warm hug as if nothing had ever changed between the two of you.
“Of course you can. What kind of question is that?”
After a moments hesitation she hugged you back, only distantly aware that you’d placed down the flowers to hold her better. “I missed you,” she said, the words tumbling out on their own, and you swallowed, a slight tremor in your voice as you answered.
“I missed you too.”
-
Thankfully, Sakura had tissues and Yena never failed to make everyone laugh and lift the atmosphere, and soon Hitomi was smiling and laughing along with everyone else, her heart soaring in her chest as she looked around at all the people who loved her in their own ways. She was still so full of feelings that she felt like she might burst, but they were mostly good feelings.
Her two homes were together, and she was whole again.
Almost.
There was still an awkward air between the two of you, but it was easy to ignore when Yujin was yelling across the arcade that she would fight Wonyoung for beating her at bowling and Yena was chanting for Eunbi and Chaeyeon to down more shots and you were by her side again, your hand brushing against hers as the two of you watched everything go down around you. The night moved by in a blur of bright colors, bass-heavy music, and laughter: so much laughter that Hitomi’s chest hurt and her cheeks ached from smiling. She hadn’t smiled this much since she was still in Korea.
By the time she stepped outside into the outdoor bar to get a breath of fresh air and to give her ears a bit of a break, it was nearing midnight and the party showed no sign of slowing down. As she sipped her water, she looked up at the moon and squinted, leaning against the gate railing at the edge of the bar and wishing she could see the stars. In this way, her home in Korea was similar to her home in Japan. The stars couldn’t be seen in the city. Not like they could out in the country, anyway.
“What’s the birthday girl doing hiding outside?” Your voice made her jump and she spun around to see you standing at the door. When had it opened? With a little laugh, she held up her almost empty cup of water and running a hand through her hair.
“Resting,” she said, moving to the side to make room for you at the railing. “I needed some fresh air and some water for my headache.”
“Is it bad?” You moved to stand beside her, your eyes worried. She quickly shook her head.
“No. It’s pretty much gone already.”
“Oh, good.”
The two of you lapsed into silence and the awkward air was back, making her stare down at the remaining water in her cup, contemplating what she should say. She was glad to see you, obviously. She’d missed you so much that she hardly knew what to do with herself. But she was the one who had broken things off, so what could she say? Sorry? Hope you’re doing okay? It was for your own good? All of those seemed too callous and she couldn’t find the words to describe the hurricane of feelings that had been looming over her head and lingering in her chest for months.
It was you who spoke first instead, clearing your throat before opening your mouth. “I hope I did the right thing, coming here. I didn’t know if you would want to see me again after we, uh, broke up. But Nako insisted that you would be happy if I came.”
Hitomi swallowed, scared to meet your eyes. “Did you want to come?”
“I did. It would feel weird not to celebrate your birthday with you. But since we aren’t dating anymore....” You trailed off and she bit her lip, internally kicking herself. “I was just nervous that you wouldn’t feel the same,” you finished, your voice getting softer.
“No, I’m happy that you’re here. I’m happy that you came to celebrate with me, even though....” She couldn’t bring herself to say it. “Thank you.”
Once again, there was silence for a moment. Then you sighed and shifted beside her, shaking your head. “I know I shouldn’t bring this up since it’s your birthday but... Did I do something wrong? Did I hurt you in some way, is that why you broke up with me? Because I was willing to try a long distance relationship, but you seemed so sure that we should break up that I couldn’t bring it up to you.”
“No!” Her body panicked and the words came out on their own as she jerked to look at you, startling you. Taking a deep breath, she calmed herself down and shook her head. “No, you didn’t do anything. You were great. It was all me. I didn’t want to make you feel pressured to visit me and I didn’t want to put you through dating a foreign idol. I was worried about you. I thought it would be the best thing for you to find someone else even though I-.” Her voice broke and she swallowed again, feeling her face heat up. “I loved you. I love you. I’m sorry.”
You stared at her with wide eyes, your mouth slightly open as your eyes searched her face. “You.... You broke up with me because you were worried that I’d feel pressured to visit you?”
It sounded stupid coming out of someone else’s mouth. Ashamed, she looked at the ground and slowly nodded her head. “I know, it’s stupid, but I-.”
“God, you’re too nice for your own good.” You let out a laugh of disbelief and she blinked, glancing back up at you. “Nako told me that you’ve been overworking yourself and locking yourself away for months because you were so upset, but you did that all and dealt with it because you thought you were doing what was best for me?”
“I-I just wanted you to be happy.”
“I know. I know that now.” You rubbed a hand over your face. “But you’re the person who makes me happy, Hitomi. I was so upset after after you broke up with me, thinking that I did something to make you leave. I knew you weren’t the type of person to pretend to love someone, but I wondered if I was more in love than you. As it turns out, neither of us knew what the other was thinking.”
“I’m sorry,” she said again, “I should have talked to you. I messed everything up.”
“We’re talking now, aren’t we?” Your voice wavered a bit, but you gave her a small, tentative smile. “We were given another chance. Maybe we can fix it.”
Her heart began to pound in her chest as she realized what you were proposing and she swallowed around the lump in her throat, staring deep into your earnest eyes. “I.... I want to. But are you sure you’re okay with me living in another country?”
You let out a little laugh. “I’m not going to lie, it sucks not having you down the street anymore. Which is why I decided to study abroad.”
She blinked, letting your words sink in. “What? Do you mean...?” She trailed off, scared to get her own hopes up, but you smiled.
“Yes, I mean that I transferred to a university here in Japan, so I can be near you. I don’t want to give up what we had, Hitomi. I know it might be hard since you’re an idol and we live different lives, but I know my love for you is worth giving us another chance and trying to make it work.”
Oh god, she was crying again. Quickly, she placed her cup down and wiped at her face, reaching for the words to describe the mixture of relief and joy that she was feeling. “I love you, (Y/N),” she said, stepping forward when you opened your arms and sinking into your embrace. “I’m sorry. And I want to try to make it work too. Thank you for not giving up on me.” She felt like she was rambling, so she hugged you back tighter than before, hoping that she could get her feelings across to you. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” you assured her, and she knew it wasn’t a dream as you pressed a kiss to her forehead, making her breath hitch in her throat and her lips turn up into a smile. Her dreams had never felt this sweet.

Kudos to you for sleeping, even if it is 8:30am!!! Thank you so much for your incredible hard work this comeback, it's so amazing to have you as a content creator and I know that you're doing tons of work that we aren't seeing on tumblr for izone fans on other platforms. I legit was not expecting to be so emotional about this comeback but I WAS and I love Iz*one so much, my heart feels like it'll burst. Can we get more of your thoughts on the comeback? Thank you so much for everything.
thanks for your support as always! tbh i was so sure i was gonna sleep instead of staying up bc i went out the entire day... but i couldnt stop thinking about izone...
honestly theres a point in time for kpop groups when they begin to evolve from idols to artists... and i feel like that is starting to happen to izone
im honestly so freaking happy about fiesta because it’s so much more than i imagined it would be. tbh usually when fans freak out about the dance i cant really trust it most of the time, but after seeing wizone reactions to the showcase on twt i really wanted to believe... and im so glad that they delivered
their dancing feels so genuine to me and it feels like theyre all on the same page and there isnt a single member throwing off the balance and they all have the same fire and intention in their eyes. i dont know how to explain it but my heart can feel how much they value respect and take seriously the stage and the music and the fans. and this honestly reflects back into the people that work with them; the staff, videographers, stylists, etc. the video editing was amazing for mv. the outfits were perfect for the dance both visually and as well for comfort for dancing (the boots are comfy to dance in... much better than violeta shoes).
can you imagine how much further they’ll continue to grow if theyve already improved and achieved this much in this amount of time?
before i go into small and random thoughts i had imma end it off and say
stream fiesta and listen to my baby’s ballad thx for coming to my ted talk
small random things i noticed:
yenas dancing is absolutely stunning. she always jokes around and get called a joker and a bluffer and then yuri laughs and says yena needs more practice... but to be able to convey through dance and performance at this level you need to think a LOT and work A LOT i love her
eunbi got given parts that made use of her vocal range and her voice came out so strong... and spaceship made me feel things
there are small parts in the choreo that are “between moves” but they keep focus and also kept that clean... they really went to that level of detail...
ahn yujins growth is freaking scary... and she learned how to dance as a tall person to match short members (this is actually a skill LOL i got yelled at in practice for like 4 months straight for it until i learned)
chaeyeon can include head parts in choreography while keeping the camera’s intention is kind of super insane
im worried for some of their knees in that one leg down part (except for chaewon and yujin who are v stable)
when hitomi did textures in her part i fking cheered my heart out even though it was one second LOL
ive never felt an idol step on my so hard until chaewon’s first part when she threw down and stomped girl GET IT. she also looks down on u like ur a piece of shit i love it we love our swearing girl crush legend
i dont know how two people are able to share a dance break when the formation stays the same and they dont share centre but chaewon and chaeyeon did it
yuri at 4s going down wow
there are times when cheonjae ahn yujin really slows her moves down and takes her time and makes us feel it and i love that
theres a part where they throw their arms up and yujin is in the centre and she doesnt throw her arms up all the way to match everyone elses arm height and that was peak intellectual
whoever izones choreographer is theyve been respecting the music since forever and i appreciate that
theres always one idol in a group that doesnt hold the camera long enough at the end of their part and izone used to have that as well but it doesnt happen anymore wtf
the dance lets eunbi show off her strength rather than going for elegance and i think she slapped me a few times and bonked me with her hips a few times but i encourage that
i love yujinnies hair
hitomis stage presence improved so much i freaking love her
i want yena fancam shes so good
u might be wondering why i care about textures so much but textures are THE thing that kpop always lacked which thus took away the meaning from the dance. u cant always punch and u cant always make things soft and izone GETS IT
chaeyeon dancing looks so happy and that makes me happy
little main vocal nako is my love
wonyoungs vocal improvement is crazy
the way yuri says hwalryeohan in her chorus ohmygoodness
yena’s chorus in spaceship where she showed us vocal prowess by not going falsetto on the high note
yuri spacebuns
mombi in denim
dimple aegyo yujin in spaceship bridge
the way sakura manipulated me into giffing her first
the way my heart screams CUTE whenever i see nako
the thing on yuris ear idk what it is but it cool
that entire choreo is a left butt workout LOL
the way yena runs up to the centre in spaceship chorus
eunbi slapped me again
miyawaki sakura readjusting her positioning at the end to make a perfect diagonal without sacrificing the dance is classic miyawaki pro behaviour
how is minju’s smile so perfect... esp in her first part...
the way yuri smiles in spaceship but also the way yuri smiles in ayayaya
izone makes their own genre its not cute its not girlcrush its everything mixed together and anything you could possibly want it to be i dont make the rules it just happened this way

❁ Chapter ➢ Prologue | 01 | 02 | 03 | 04
“Wake… Wake up…” the whispering sound seem to wake me up.
“Hmm…?” I feel something soft rubbing against my cheek, and slowly open my eyes. Whose voice was that? sitting up in a bed I was laying on, I look around. An unfamiliar ceiling…an unfamiliar room…and a cat? But…nobody is in the room except me.
“Good, you can move your body”
I thought I heard someone talking to me, I’ve just made sure that no one is in the room though. I look in the direction where the voice came from. There is the cat sitting in my sight.
“You’re right”
“A cat…?” I must have been crazy. Is the cat really the one who is talking earlier?
“I am a cat living in this castle. Some people call me Spade” I hear the same exact voice from the spot where the cat is sitting. It really is talking… I feel like I’ve gone through so much that I’m not surprised by a cat speaking.
“I’ve never met a cat who can speak the human language before—”
“We can talk about my language ability later. The problem here is you.”
“Me? What do you mean me?”
“Do you remember you were sucked your blood by the vampire brothers?”
“Y-yeah…” oh how I wished it was all a dream. The pain of the fangs sticking into my skin, and the indescribable weird sensation. How can I forget about that?
“They tried to dominate you”
“Yes I know. So…” does that mean I’m a vampire now? Or what do they call it? Belonging? Does that mean I’m their slave? I get depressed all of the sudden to face reality.
“Keep your head up, you haven’t become their belonging.”
I stayed silent. Still understanding every word Spade says. So there’s still a chance?
“You are still human, but—” I take Spade up in my arms as I’m overwhelmed by happiness. “So, I’m not a vampire yet!” moving my body left to right as I hugged him to my chest “Hey hey! Don’t start celebrating yet. Hear me out” I put him down on the floor as he struggles in my arms.
“Here, you have to know that, you are now in between a human and a vampire. Seems like you are descended from a special blood line.”
I feel like my body were shaken a bit. I feel like shivering “Wait, does it mean I will eventually turn into a vampire?” Spade confirms my question with a nod, and stares at me in a serious manner.
“You have ten days left. Find out the Rose Garden somewhere in this castle within those ten days. Roses blooming in this castle have a mystical power. Drinking the evening dew will purify you from the vampire curse”
Find the Rose Garden in ten days…  Overwhelmed by the new information i just realized if i should trust this cat or not.
“Why are you so nice to me…?”
“Because you are not supposed to become a vampire. I don’t know how helpful I can be, but I will support you if you wish”
“Thank you, Spade” I have no idea why Spade knows those kinds of things, but it still relieves me to find out that there is someone in this vampire castle to help me. I’ll find the garden and leave this castle as a human.
As soon as I make the resolve, a knocking sound resonates from the door. As I haven’t answered, the knocking sound gets raged as if someone wants to destroy it. The knocking sound echoes through the room. The person doing this must have a short temper. I look for Spade to tell me what to do but the next thing he did is curling up on the bed. I have a bad feeling about this…
“…I’ll open the door now” as I’m about to hold the doorknob.
“You’re late! Don’t make me wait” his voice scolds me before I even open the door completely.
“Taehyung…” he has no intention of hiding his irritation as he glares at me.
“What do you think about me? Say it!”
“Huh…?” what does he mean by that? Is he talking about his look? Or my first impression about him?
“All it takes is saying that you love me. Do it. Now”
“But why?” his low tempered attitude is starting to make me really mad. “Why the hell do I have to say that to you?” his eyes are wide open in surprise as I glare at him.
“What? why is she like this?” he mumbles the last sentence but loud enough to be heard and I’m the one who want to ask him the same question, but I stay silent and keep glaring.
“Look at me in the eyes” he reach his hands towards me and grab my chin up for me to get a closer look on his eyes.
“What are you—” he holds my chin more forcefully. Taehyung’s eyes are gradually turning into blood-stain red. These crimson eyes are familiar to me. When he sucked my blood, he had the same crimson eyes. No…not again… Thinking that he would suck my blood again, I stand ready, but what he does is repeating the same phrase while putting his evil smile.
“Say…that you love me”
Is he serious? While staring deeply into his eyes, I reply “I can’t say ‘I love you’ to someone I don’t even love” I’m guessing he tried to hypnotize me?
“This is absurd! Have a good look at my eyes!”
“Hey! T-taehyung!” his face approaches towards me as it’s distorted in frustration, I desperately try to avoid his face as he closes in more. But as he hold my chin firmly, I can’t move an inch. He licks his lip before staring at me with his blood-red eye.
“Taehyung, you can’t force an unwilling lady. She doesn’t look happy”
With that, Jimin pushes Taehyung away.
“It seems like you didn’t become Taehyung’s belonging. His power seems to have no effect on you” Jimin slowly comes closer to me, I take a step back, he’s a little bit too close. “How about me? You became my belonging then, that’s why Taehyung’s power doesn’t affect you”
“I’m not anyone’s belonging! Get out of my way!” I pushed Jimin aside and walks towards the door. Suddenly he grabbed my left arm and pull me to his side, looking at me amusingly.
“Well I must verify this then. Would you kiss me, ____?”
“Jimin, what the hell are you doing?”
Jimin’s face approaches me “Now…let’s—” Stating my feeling as clear as possible, I step on his foot as hard as I can “No way! I can’t kiss someone I don’t even like!” “Ahh…” he groans while jumping in pain. Jimin frowns for a moment, but his familiar gentle smile soon appears again. His eyes, Oh no... Jimin’s eyes are as red as those of Taehyung’s just a moment ago.
“Let me tell you again. ____, kiss me”
“As many times you ask me, it’ll always be the same answer. No and never” Jimin shrugs as I refuse his request.
“How disappointing. She hasn’t become my belonging either”
“Our power doesn’t work on her, is that even possible?”
“Right, she is hard to deal with…”
“Huh, you’re giving up already? She’s mine then”
“You wish”
What are they talking about? Staring at them as I’m confused, I see Jimin stretching his hands towards me.
“Well… for now…” my body starts to get chills as he holds my hand.
“What are you doing!? Let go!”
“Alarmed to the point you’re shaking eh? Oh well, it can’t be helped” he releases me then, I rub my arm to where he was holding. “I’ll show you around the castle. Come with me, ____” show me around the castle? I am surprised by his sudden offer, but I could wish for nothing better to look for the Rose Garden. But I can’t follow him straight away off guard, thinking that there may be a catch to it.
Running after Jimin, he stops to look back at Taehyung.
“Wait Taehyung! You come with us now”
Tumblr media
I recognize the place where they have taken me to. It seems better to be careful, and I start to walk a few steps behind them. Though I was so scared yesterday because nobody was here.
“This is the hotel lobby where we welcome out guests” Jimin guide me towards the center of the lobby. It’s lively with people today.
“This place is a hotel?”
“This is Hotel Libra Sincera, This hotel has remodeled from a castle, so it’s called both ‘hotel’ and ‘castle’”
“If it’s a hotel, how come nobody was around yesterday?” I look around to see porters attending hotel guests.
“We were having a ceremony for the first time in a long while yesterday, so people in the hotel stayed in their rooms. I’ll tell you about the ceremony later. Let us get back to business with this hotel” Taehyung said.
“Right, this place function as an intersection of humans and non-humans” Jimin continues to guide us to walk around.
“I can go visit places where other non-human races live from here?” though I’m a bit scared, but my curiosity about these ‘non-human’ beside the vampires keep bothering me.
“You are right. However, you have to pay a considerable price in exchange. Not everyone can go”
“But then, why are you guys here?”
“Ones chosen from all vampires are put in charge of this hotel. There are three types of workers in this hotel. The owner, the person to ascertain the considerable price needed in exchange to visit other worlds.” Having walked ahead, Jimin stops at the uppermost landing of the staircase. “The introduction of the lobby is about it. Next, I’ll introduce you our great origin” there’s a big portrait on the wall.
“Who is he?”
“Aelfric. The old man who made a nuisance of himself and only left us trouble”
“Watch your tongue, Taehyung. He’s the father of vampires. We should respect him”
“Taehyung, what do you mean by trouble—” My question is drowned out in mid-sentence by the shout and footsteps of a girl.
“Taeehyuung!!” I turn around to see a girl with big blue eyes and her wavy blonde hair dashing towards us.
“Our first-class guest seems to have found you, Taehyung” Jimin said as he giggles. Taehyung puts up a cold face and roll his eyes.
“Taehyungie, I’ve been looking for you! You have no idea how much I missed you!” Taehyung gently smiles and crouches down to meet her eyes.
“I am deeply sorry about your trouble, Lady Chaeyeon” what? I never knew he have this polite manner of his, it’s kind of surprising actually. The girl called Chaeyeon glares at me fiercely, and then holds Taehyung’s hand. “Come have a cup of tea with me! You wouldn’t say no, would you?”
“Of course not, young lady”
“I’m not asking you sir Jimin, you’re not gorgeous enough to flirt with me”
“…I’ll be back soon” a heavy sigh was left from Taehyung’s mouth but he quickly puts up his ‘smile’ again towards Chaeyeon. Taehyung goes back down the stairs with Chaeyeon. I also go down the stairs to stand in front of the big entrance door. I came from this door. I wonder if I can go in and out freely. I quietly place my hand on the door. The door is so heavy and doesn’t budge an inch.
“It’s...quite heavy...” I breathed after putting my effort on opening the door.
“Only few people authorized by the hotel owners can open this door” I spin around to find a man wearing hood over his head standing behind me. He has the hood pulled over his eyes, but the shadow of the hood has failed to hide the big scar on his face.
“Oh... and who are you? What do you mean by authorized people?”
“Mr. Jungkook” Jimin interrupts my question before I get an answer. “I have something to discuss with her. Please excuse us, Mr. Jungkook” he bows down and grab my arm. “____, come this way” as I follows, I take a last glance at the man before, he stand still looking right back at me. I have to meet him again later…
Tumblr media
We arrived at a small room. There’s Taehyung inside the room, who seems to have waited for us. Jimin keeps quiet the whole time since we enter the room. “Did you get a permission to leave her?”
“Leave her? Shut up, Jimin” Taehyung answers in a grouchy tone and take a glance at me “I’m not going to let her leave. She’s working here”
“Excuse me?” work? Do you think I’m your slave or something?  “The only position available now is maid though” surprised by the sudden order I stare at Taehyung. “A…maid?”
“The hooded man told you a little while ago” Jimin puts his hand by my shoulder then proceed to stand beside Taehyung.
“You can only leave this castle with the hotel owners’ permission, that is, our permission” Taehyung stated. I knew it, they’re the hotel owners. I never thought that I’d be working as a maid in a place like this. But it’ll be easier for me to search for the Rose Garden then...
“As long as you’re forced to stay here, you’ll have nothing to do anyways. You’d better to work yourself to labor” His arrogant attitude gets on my nerve, but I should obey him for now.
“Alright…I guess I have no choice then” I need more information to find the Rose Garden on order to turn back into pure human.
“She seems too gentle for me… Oh well, Hey, Namjoon!” After giving me a suspicious look, Jimin shows his usual smile. Corresponding to Jimin’s call, a man shows up. “This is Namjoon, he is the general manager of the hotel” I have to admit that his manly figure scares me a bit. Is he one of the vampire brothers too?
“Namjoon, she’s a new worker. Show her what to do”
“What a troublesome…but I have no choice” Namjoon is very reluctant, but he starts to explain about my work. So, him being the general manager means… He is the keeper of the door to my homeland… Suddenly, Namjoon scolds me as I got lost in my thought. “Do you hear me?” uh-uhh he told me to…uh oh!
“O-of course I do. My job is cleaning up the guest room, right?”
“Hm right. Come on, I’ll show you. Follow me please”
“Okay…”
“Ah!” Just when I follow Namjoon to leave the room—everything turns white before my eyes in a flash. A vision of a woman emerges far away. She looks into a man laying himself down to the ground. After the exchange a few words, their lips slowly meet. What…did I just see? As soon as the vision fades away, everything turns completely black. I try to hold still my trembling feet firmly on the floor, not to let myself break down.
“What’s the matter?”
“N-nothing…” I managed to squeeze out the reply, but the vision I just had stays in my head. Why on earth would I kiss Taehyung… the couple I just saw… that was Taehyung and I…?
“____, are you sick?”
“No, I’m fine…” I answer as though to persuade myself, then I start walk behind Namjoon. I should just try not to think about it. The more I try not to, the more I think about that scene with Taehyung. I’m totally blanked out and Namjoon’s instructions go into one ear and out from the other for a while.
He stops and turned around to look at me.
“Obviously, this is the kitchen. Humans have to eat, correct? We vampires don’t have a habit of eating like humans. Sucking blood once a year would actually be enough for us. Although there are some who would hold a feast to flaunt their wealth in public. Tell the chef when you’re hungry. He would make you something. Hey, is Seokjin there?”
Seokjin calls out to the back of the kitchen.
“Did someone call me?” wait a second... somehow, I have a feeling that I’ve met him before.
“She’s a new worker here, ____”
“Woahh! Your name is ____. I’m Seokjin the chef. Nice to meet you, let’s shake hands!” Seokjin delightedly shakes my hand.
“Yesterday…in the dark? You must be…”
“I was standing behind you, so I couldn’t see you well in the dark last night… but here you are! I thought you smelled like a flower. Ah…such a beauty!” he doesn’t seem so bad.
“Oh, you remember this feeling on your neck, don’t you?” with those words, Seokjin shows me a knife. “That is…” the cold blade laid on my neck yesterday. I knew it was a knife. Remembering the cold touch and the terror in the dark sends a chill down my spine.
“Are you trembling? What? Scared of me?” he started to walk closer towards me. “Erm… But, having just a little bite won’t hurt, will it?” He then crouches down to meet me in the eye “Don’t worry! I won’t eat you right away. I told you yesterday right? ” Seokjin smiles widely. Looking at his overly joyed look, unlike others, I start to lose fear towards him. Don’t want to hear his creepy talk anymore, I try to change the topic.
“Anyways, why are you wearing a ribbon on your wrist?”
“Hm? Are you interested in me? Oh my… if you want to know about my ribbon, have a cup of tea with me!”
“…Cut it out already, idiot”
“Eyy, Mr. Manager is frightening. I’m sorry, that was just a joke though… See ya later, ____!” he then runs straight away out of the kitchen.
“…Don’t deal with him more than necessary. Now, let’s call it a day. Start your work tomorrow. I’ll have someone take you back to your room”
“Okay. Thank you…” as Namjoon calls out, a human doll figure appears in front of me quietly.
“Um…who are you?” it’s a beautiful woman, but she has strings tied to her body just like a puppet. I talk to her, but there is no response. I followed her in silence. As soon as we get to my room, she is already on the way to leave. “Thank you for taking me here” I thank her hurriedly, but she just nods without saying anything back.
Seeing her from behind, I find two small bite marks on the neck. That can’t be true… the bite marks, her unclear blank eyes, she must’ve been bitten by the brothers… at this moment I’m going to be…no…I’m going to find the Rose Garden within ten days and leave here as a human.
When I got into my room, Spade is there for me.
“You look awfully tired”
“So many things happened…” I told him what was happened today in chronological order starting from the morning. But first of all, I’ve got to tell him that I’ll work here.
“A hotel maid, huh? That’s what you wish for”
“That’s exactly what I thought. I have an excuse to enter all rooms for cleaning up. That way, it’ll make it easier for me to look for Rose Garden, and…”
“What’s wrong?”
I lose my word as I notice something important is missing around my neck.
“I think, I lost my pendant somewhere…I must find it”
“A pendant?”
“It has been handed down for generations in my family. I remember I was wearing it before entering the castle though…” when did I lose it? When I was shown around the castle, it was already gone.
“Okay, I’ll keep an eye out for it”
“It’s really important so I have to find it, anyways thank you”
“So, what happened?”
When I’m thinking about what I should tell Spade next, I hear a knock on the door. In no time, I heard another knocking.
“It’s him again… listen. Don’t be tricked by the brothers”
“Of course, I know that” I agree to spade with a nod, and open the door. I see Taehyung with an explicitly unpleasant look. What is he gonna do this late…

okay i need to stop but this is the last one & i will stop you with bothering with my dramatic muses. this is chaeyeon she’s my newest baby and i never had the chance to play her so pls bear with me if this (copied and pasted) intro will be a little messy. pls like this for plots, i’m uncreative af but i hope my love for you is enough !  as always more will be found under the cut, pls read this in a nice voice because this post sounds so rude but i love you all
despite of her wealth and her mother being a very famous actress her childhood was pretty normal & she didn’t grow up being spoiled . her mother used to be poor therefore she taught her daughter that life was tough and that she had to work hard. chaeyeon was never sent to any special elite school or something because back then the public didn’t know her face due to her mother being very private about her life.
however, crazy people do exist and one day her mother received some threats, saying that that person will take their daughter etc. this person even included some (creepy) pics they’ve taken when chaeyeon was outside and of course her mother was shaken and decided to call the police.
so for a long while she stopped receiving messages and her life was back to being normal again. chaeyeon had always been very similar to her mother and like her she wanted to become an actress. she trained to be an actressand even became very famous & known for her outstanding acting skills despite of her young age. although chaeyeon was often criticised for her bad attitude where netizines called her rude, cold etc. because she wasn’t smiling 24/7 ( she’s a very easy person to read, so when she’s angry, annoyed etc. she can’t really hide it ) she had everything.
but one day she received these creepy messages and at first she thought it was a joke and she tried to laugh it off but it turned out to be the same person that used to write these messages to her mother . despite of the police’s effort to find that person they couldn’t track them and chaeyeon had no choice but to continue living her life hoping that nothing would happen. still, the fear  that something might happen remained and she decided to take some self-defence training (whenever it was possible) .
of course being an actress was stressful enough and because of that chaeyeon suffered from lack of sleep ( more than usual ) and was just constantly paranoid that something might happen to her. of course she performed even worse on variety shows etc. and people started to attack her even more for her “bad attitude” because she just couldn’t be bright and stuff.
one day ( i use that sentence  too often ) she was walking back home from some late night shopping ( because nobody could accompany her ) and let’s say that the fact that it was already dark outside didn’t help chaeyeon to relax and the worst thing was that she thought someone was following her and that it might’ve been her stalker. so when she noticed that this person came closer chaeyeon snapped and attacked him using every technique she learned to knock them out. this person ended up being hurt pretty bad and chaeyeon was very proud because she managed to knock her stalker out. however it turned out that his person wasn’t her stalker and just someone who was taking the same way back home.
ofc this accident went viral and it ruined her career within a week and chaeyeon was charged for physical assault. however, they went light on her because she did it due to a misunderstanding. that’s why her company decided to put her on a hiatus, letting her go to study and even letting her do some “normal” jobs to polish up her image.
now to her personality, i’m just realising like she isn’t like i imagined her to be but screw that i’m too lazy to rewrite my intro. so chaeyeon has that imagine of being rude & cold but actually she’s the complete opposite. she is like a very open and super honest person, she’s that friend who tells her friend that she looks bad in that dress if that’s the truth, so there’s no sugar-coating from her side. she values the truth although it might be ugly at times but she just really really hates fake people ( she just wants to fight them ). also this little bean is very independent and always searching for some way to spark her life up. you want to go sky diving ? call chaeyeon. you want to go mcdonals at 3am, call chaeyeon. chaeyeon might be a very fun person to hang out with but she also changes her mind a lot because she gets bored very easily. also she’s very very ill-tempered and gets annoyed easily. however, she has a huge heart, trusts people way  too easily ( always might get hurt because of this ) because she thinks everyone is honest like her and is probably that person who always likes someone more than they do like her. even she had never been spoiled, she never lived on her own and is still a little lost, so she’s that neighbour who will knock at your door at 3am to ask you for help because she doesn’t know how to use a washing machine
oh and for some plot ideas, the only things i actually can come up with now are:
the person who followed her and got hurt because of her
someone who trained her some self-defence stuff
a fan of her who’s disappointed in her
someone who hated on her but realises that she’s actually a decent person and now likes her
perhaps a family member of the person she assaulted
i can’t think of anything now because my brain is a mess and i’m tired, but pls plot with me ! and throw some ideas at me if you want ! i’m pathetic

rose colored
@sbchaeyeon
she was dazed. everything prior had not shown signs of such a thing to occur. there was significant amount of sunshine and the air seemed still. however when she looked out the small window near her bed, she had seen blankets of smoke pilled onto every surface possible.a blizzard had somehow abruptly swept through the area and caused it to look like a ghost town outside.usually during this time of day she could look out and see people rushing to their destinations yet no one seemed to be outside.little particles of snow were still falling from the murky sky and only adding onto the pesky mounds of snow that were sitting on the pavement. from the looks of things, it also took out the electricity with it. areum groaned as she gotten out of the bed, her feet hitting the chilled floors. thankfully the light from the window illuminated the room enough for her to navigate her way around without breaking a bone. she flipped the small light switch on the wall just in case she was wrong about the power outage. she wasn’t.
a sigh escaped her lips as she leaned against the wall in defeat. the chilled air in the room was causing her to lose feeling in her finger in toes; she just wanted to go back under her blankets and go back to sleep. it seemed quite impossible due to the freezing temperatures. maybe she should go and steal warmth from chaeyeon. as the name registered in her mind she felt the world tilt a little too far to the right. chaeyeon. she was afraid of the dark.
she found out about the others fear unexpectedly. on one of their movie nights, a power outage had occurred and caused the room to fall into a sea of black. areum felt the other girls hand  vice around own so tightly that it became a little painful. areum looked over in the dark and how almost ghostly her face seemed in the darkness.a little too pale. a smile fluttered on to her face. it seemed the girl was afraid of the dark. how cute. another reason to add onto the impossibly long list of things that she loved about girl.her immediate response was to raise their joint hands to her cheeks and place a small kiss upon them. “it’s okay, it should turn back on in a couple of minutes. remember that i’m her okay, i wont let go of your hand.” she mirrored her response by playing with the small strands of hair that fluttered out of the ballerinas neat bun. they had stayed awake, whispering secrets and other nonsense to each other, describing their events of the day, and telling about their aspirations until finally the lights were returned and sighs of relief were filling the air. she resurfaced from that sea with a deeper understanding of the other.
a gasp escaped her lips as her hand grabbed for the phone on the nightstand, quickly scrolling through her contact list. chaeyeon. areum had to call her to make sure she was fine. she was met with a automatic response and a no signal looming over the top. she cursed again and began to make her way out the door, not minding, not knowing, the fact that she was in fact barefooted and in her sleepwear. she would leave that embarrassment for later.
areum quickly made her way through the familiar route to the others apartment, her heart beat ringing in her ears. all of the worst possible scenarios popped into her head making her pace quicken a bit. was she hurt? was she crying? she wanted to scream at the worries that felt like a weight in her mind.a mantra of the girls name signaled around them all. when she finally made it to the small wooden doors, her civilized side fled out the door as she began to bang as hard as she could on the aged doors, forgetting that she in fact had the pass code to the door.again, another embarrassment for another day. her voice cracking as she yelled the dancers name.”yeona-ah are you okay? you’re not hurt are you?” when the girl opened the door she quickly buried her face into the crook of the dancers neck, trying to push off the ill feelings that ailed her. she was just being incredibly silly. her arms tightened around the waist of the girl taking in her homey scent. the tension quickly released from her muscles as she embraced her.again she felt the words on her tongue. no it wasn’t the right time.apologies were whispered into her skin as she wished she could do better, be better.
she quickly began to notice that something was off.a almost foreign feeling seemed to loom in the air. she didn’t trust it. it felt almost suffocating,as if invisible hands had a vice around her throat. the hairs on her neck stood as she tugged at the nightgown she currently had on.”i wasn’t really dressed for this to happen so excuse the pajamas.i would have hated for my neighbors to see me, they would think i was crazy.” she shook the two pigtails on her head laughing.
they spent the rest of the day snuggled in blankets, hands lanced in an invitation. she told her about her daily events, about her future plans and wishes, how she was saving up to go on a small vacation to jeju during the spring, anything to keep her mind away from the idea off the looming darkness that was yet to come. as quickly as things began to settle, the sun began to peak through the curtains, casting rays of rose colored hues into the room yet they stayed in the small apartment. as quickly as the day began, the sun began to set over the horizon and the lights began to diminish in the room. never once did her hand leave the others, promising her that nothing bad would happen while she was there. everything seemed fine when they laid down for sleep. the air seemed to had settled and the snow stopped failing from the sky. it led them to believe that maybe tomorrow the mess that was happening would be cleaned up.however that idea fell into shambles when she awoke the next morning.
when the next day arrived she felt different. she seemed to almost taller than when she arrived, her limbs longer, her hair reaching farther down her back. that should've been the first sign to what had occurred but she just pushed those thoughts to the back of her head blaming her nerves. she looked at the strand of hair twirling on her collarbone, noticing that it was a gorgeous mahogany color. she dismissed this a little slower as she became a little skeptical. okay maybe she drunk something funny. that had to be it or maybe she lost her mind. the last one seemed more realistic. the final nail in the coffee was when she looked over to the girl next to her, a gasp getting stuck in her throat. why was she looking at herself? it was an exact carbon copy of herself peaceful resting near the window. a shrill scream filled the room as she surveyed her own body, picking up the tattoo on her arm.she knew those tattoos. those were chaeyeon’s tattoos. had she died in her sleep? it didn't make any sense for her to be in this position, strangely looking at her own body in someones eyes. she watched the memories play across her eyes, a twitch appearing near her temple. these weren't her own memories  by far, it seemed they also inherited each others thoughts. it was a surreal thing-to see the way she looked at things. well of course her mind would be as beautiful as she was. she shook the girls her own body, panic thick in her voice. “yeon-ah wake up, something weird is happening! I think i died in my sleep! you look exactly like me, i look like you.oh my god are we both dead? do we call the police? i don’t think they can help us . ”
