he had hidden himself for so long, from everyone. he needed to protect the carver name; it had already gone through so much thanks to his adulterous, addict mother. how in the hell was he going to besmirch it even more by being caught with a man. eddie munson was the last person he ever thought that he'd be caught dead with. he had found him, finally, after chrissy's death and asked the man if he had any last words before he took him to the police and that's when the rambling just fell from the others mouth. even when munson was done, jason was still glaring. "so the devil is real, but he's not using you, he's using this... vecna, thing?" he was chewing on his lower lip now, beginning to question everything he had thought. was this just a ploy to have him leave eddie alone once and for all? jason studied the other for a moment, saw how close to PANIC that he truly was. even if it wasn't the truth, looking into those big brown eyes, for some reason he believed eddie. "stop it. stop panicking. breathe." he sighed, running a hand over his face. it was late, they were god knows where; jason hadn't even looked, just followed the trail to wherever eddie had been staying. "we can't take you back to town yet, but i'll stay with you. you can explain to your friends in the morning that i'm not the enemy anymore. i'm not saying i believe anything but... i believe it wasn't you." it was like he blinked, and the others lips were on him. eyes widened, though he didn't pull away. instead he stayed silent, stunned as he looked at the other, "what-- why?"

“i just want to know what in the HELL you are thinking, for fuck sake, eddie!” his voice was raised, but it wasn’t as loud as it could have been. it was billy showing restraint despite the situation that he’s now forced into. the band was in the next room, billy had roughly pulled eddie through the garage where they practiced and into the house as if that would stop the others from hearing the conversation at all. “they know? why do they know? do you not understand the meaning of the words “don’t tell anyone, absolutely no one”, munson? or are you just fucking stupid? i can’t do this if,” billy’s voice quietened, just slightly but he couldn’t look at the other, “if i can’t trust you.”

"last night i was drunk." he spoke bluntly, though if you knew him well enough you could hear the bitten back emotion in steve's voice. he knew that billy wouldn't lie about something like that, but he was definitely mad at himself for allowing that to be brought up. steve and billy's secret little relationship had been over for a while, long enough that steve should be past it, and billy shouldn't be looking at him like he thought he'd just run over steve's fucking puppy or something. "don't look at me like that. don't look at me like i'm some fucking puppy that you broke. you don't get to do that." he hissed, arms wrapping around himself as he could barely even look at the other. it had been like that since hargrove called it off, and it just made it HARDER for steve. "why? why did you feel the need to come and tell me that?"

contrary to popular belief, eddie wasn't dumb. he just didn't get along with the conformist attitude of the american education system and how much it relied on memory rather than actual knowledge and skills. could he remember anything to do with algebra? fuck no. but if he applied himself almost anywhere else outside of school then he did pretty damn well. he was also pretty street smart, or at least he liked to think so; so to say that he could smell the fruitiness coming from harrington a mile away was a huge understatement. eddie didn't know if the kid had figured it out or not yet, or if he even knew there was something to figure out, but he had taken great joy in teasing steve every second he got... or rather every second he wasn't terrified that a monster from another dimension was going to kill him and his friends, after framing him for murder. "come on, big boy, you gotta know what i'm talking about. i heard you and hargrove liked to get steamy in the showers together after basketball practice. tommy h practically shouted it from the schools rooftop that first year that billy graced us with his presence. you can't tell me you don't remember a big, muscley hunk like him naked and flirting in the showers, stevie?" eddie jumped down from where he was sat atop a table, his movements grand and sweeping as he moved closer to harrington. "see, tommy h was saying you guys were about," he moved within an inch of steve, that playful smirk on his lips as he looked over the other, "this close most times in the showers. what was he doing? whispering sweet nothings in our stevie boys ear? i wonder what tommy h didn't see. that's what i'm interested in." eddie had a shit eating grin on his face, like he did every time he was teasing someone but it was always somehow bigger when his target was steve. "did he do this?" he questioned lowly, leaning forward to press his lips to the others. eddie wasn't one to do things by halves which was evident by his tongue swiping over steve's lower lip, practically begging for entry.

It looks like count was off on my drafts to tracked threads ratio because a lot of these are from asks that were continued and I forgot to move it to a new post and track it/or it was moved and I have yet to track it. I will start tomorrow, when I have time, by finishing up my drafts and tracking them and then see if I have muse for inbox or not.

I have gone through my thread tracker and untracked all threads that are over a month old. I will continue to track threads going forward and plan on reaching out if it has been more than a month since the last reply to see if you want to continue with the thread. If you do, I’ll hang onto it. Otherwise, I’ll untrack it and we’ll consider it closed.

I’m also going to try to get to more replies today. I may want to drop some of them myself and start fresh. If that’s the case, I will let you know.

big update incoming!

hi friends, I know I've been largely absent & working on things behind the scenes while throwing some small things on the dash. I've been dealing with a lot of stress, & honestly some stuff made writing really stressful for me for a while there. I think some of the new updates are going to help with that.

first off, I'm going to be purging threads. if we have things you want to continue, that's great! (even if I haven't yet replied & you're waiting on me) - my tracker is here, & I have a lot of things that are untracked in drafts so the best way for us to continue things will be to chat on discord & plot things out. if I don't hear from partners by Tuesday night, I'll consider those threads good to wind down & we can start fully fresh or with intact dynamics - whatever you prefer! I just want to make room for new fun shit.

I'm going to be dissolving all current exclusives. if you want to stay on that list, lets chat. I don't want to hear "if you want!" -- that will get an automatic no even if I desperately do 😂 I need to hear from you guys so I know who's interested in my yeeting my muses most heavily at them.

“if i see you there, munson, you’ll get your ass beat at the basketball court on sight.” jason growled, a clear pointed look at robbie showing that he wasn’t fucking around. he knew that robbie was a dealer, or at the very least carried his own gear and jason carver wasn’t going to allow that at his games. it was clear, even to those on the team that if jase caught them using or dealing, he didn’t give a fuck about what it would do for their futures, he’d go straight to the coach and get them kicked off the team. those guys were his friends, so he had even less patience for those that weren’t and had anything to do with narcotics.

"in fact, i'm pretty much considered the king of hell, y'know, the DEVIL. king of hawkins ain't got nothin' on me, pretty boy!" eddie knew that he was good at pissing people off, getting under their skin and riling them up and hell, he just loved to do that to hargrove. it was so easily done, in fact most times it only took a couple of choice words and the big titted himbo was seething. it worked like a charm every time, and the best part was that it's beautiful entertainment, and certainly a choice way to spend the day. "what's the matter, hargrove? ass got your tongue?"

Alright, I am gonna try to get into the habit of updating my thread tracker every Sunday. I know I currently have a lot of both tracked and untracked stuff here. I am also going to try to finally get to some of my drafts/starters, I owe. I have been postponing them a bit. I can see why as I was preoccupied with my work and stuff. I still need to find a rhythm for it, my university work and my other obligations.
