there's a low hum that draws out of lestat's throat. amusement is dancing in the vampire's eyes, he had never had the pleasure of meeting a mixture; a hybrid; still unsure of the correct term. but nothing would stop him from pushing, from being oh so -- himself.

this was only fair. lestat would come to tell himself repeatedly, telling his side of the story it's what any sane person would do, the vampire confirmed to himself within his head. his thoughts already a flutter of where to start; how to continue ( and he hadn't even started yet ). and yet, the claw-like nails of the vampire's would curl into the side of daniel's couch, nerves or something else; because clearly lestat does not get nervous.

"it's about time you asked for my side." although, asked was put lightly; lestat had instantly searched out daniel, the exact same person louis had spoken to.

what had possessed the vampire to track down daniel had been a spur of the moment. he had passed the book by in shops so many times. ignoring his own curiosity the most of times , but the one time , he picked up the book, only read one page before slamming it shut. refusing to focus any further on it. it might've not even been that bad , he can't imagine how the rest of the book would portray him.

but , he had accepted long ago, he would be the monster in louis' story.

daniel molloy was everywhere. every channel , every radio , everywhere. promoting that stupid god damn book. but it also made him too easy to find. in fact only a couple of weeks before he was outside his door , banging on it. demanding entry. that stupid book still clutched tightly in hand.

" are you here to punish me further ?" punish had been the wrong term , in fact, lestat knew he had been the one doing the punishing. the way he treated louis and claudia. and claudia's ending. yet , it felt like he was being punished ; seeing louis , his louis , with armand. knowing he couldn't rip them both apart for simply hurting him. but his choices had been made a long time ago. and now he was trying to live with them.

" i don't have time to speak to you , not right now.. far too busy. " while it wasn't a complete lie , lestat had nothing else planned but staying in the run down building , feeding on rats. playing his music. he had to practice of course. " I'm going on tour soon , that has taken all my time. "

leaving him all the time in the world to think about the past , all the previous actions he had made.
