She's too busy being distracted looking over and making mental notes towards the beast they had freshly taken out. So busy that she failed to take notice to the way her companion moved until she finally turns in his direction to make sure he didn't hurt himself too much despite the blood and carnage aftermath clearly leaving remains.

And then she sees the poor flower, the damaged dandelion that has absolutely seen better years, a petal might have fallen but the way he grins despite the fact that she should probably start casting healing abilities against him is enough to make her grip around her stomach and attempt to hide her own laugh he's summoned.

Her fingers curl around her lips before she accepts the wilting plant, though her attention certainly returns to him.           She could feel the choke attack the back of her throat and it takes everything in her willpower to not fall when she steps back in a swift attempt to create more distance between the two of them. Her lips twitch, her gaze shifts and despite the light red tell painting strokes across her cheeks, she’s already finding herself attempting to find something to say to set him off the trace.  “  Your ears are playing tricks on you,  “  she starts, arms fold across her chest and while not harsh, a glare looks him down, more so playful irritation than anything.

Yet even she cannot deny the hammering pounding hard from within her chest, like the foot of a rabbit kicking against her ribs over and over. Feelings? When did she do feelings?

Nevermind to the confession which absolutely did slip out but moments prior. Pay no attention to the way she glances when he looks away, there’s nothing there. It’s all harmless play. It’s fun to see how red she can make it when he does manage to catch her advances. It’s a game. It’s one she fully intends to keep on winning with. Emotions be damned.
