sea you have been such a ray of light for me over the last couple years and i don't think you'll ever understand just how much that means to me with all the anxiety That Fandom™ has given me. it's... very hard to know who is safe over there, and safe is definitely a word i'd describe you with. you're so fun and you try to keep yourself so positive and in that respect i think i've kind of tried to model some of my own online presence to follow suit. you've just!! really had a positive impact on me, so thank you.

and speaking of being talented and shit -- even when we're across fandoms, i love just having you on my dash because it means i get to read your writing. like... i absolutely have biases with some of your muses (aggressively will smith poses at your ysayle who will always hold a very special place in my heart, gestures loudly at ardbert, RAISIES EMET OVER MY HEAD, SHAKES RYNE LIKE A RAGDOLL) but i swear that every muse you touch turns to gold in your hands. but even better than getting to read your writing is that we found a way to keep writing together across fandoms and honestly i cannot tell you how fucking much i love beat and ryne because they're so disgustingly cute i'm gonna eat my entire fist.

Ah, she supposes from the outside, it looks as those men are supposed to be more than a source of nourishment. She supposes they could be considered one night stands, or maybe others think that she dates them? The chimera is unsure, but it’s an amusing revelation nonetheless. It’s a surprise it’s not been noticed that some just simply never returned after their night with her, though, that probably looks like they didn’t want to see her again.

          “  You need not to be concerned as to why it is I’m here,  “  though his expression cannot be seen due to his helm very much still being on, the azure dragoon looks around and is quick to take notice to his surroundings. It’s late. He knows. Should know better. And yet there’s something about tonight which draws him in, tells him that he needs to be around. He curses under his breath, blames the hells for what it is he dares endure.

The way she looks at him, the way it’s quick to lead his blood to boil, the way that from her gaze alone attempts understanding that he’s not after.  “  I’ll be on my way soon.  “  Quick to respond before she even has chance to speak another word.

And yet there’s another look around, as if he’s searching for something, makes a mental note to what he sees before he’s already dismissing himself without much thought behind it. He’s seen what he needs to, knows what needs to be done, he’ll make it happen.

SHE SWALLOWED,    taking a step backward as the dread that ran down her back settled in her gut and nearly became bile as she turned to run.    not out of fear as she fought to have it pass through her but out of    necessity    to find those she    CARED FOR.   

SHE SCOWLS,    grabbing at the bottom half of her robe and pulling it up to run as she does all while scattering down an alleyway to just barely avoid running into a multi    -    eye and toothed creature,   eyes widening as she spots another half    -    way down the one she next runs down while seeing someone familiar    FIGHTING WITH IT.

THE HAND ON    her robe    lets go,    only to manifest her chakrams and with a catch of her step she twists to perform a dance of blades.   teeth gritted as she tossed the weapons with might as the fourteenth member sliced off a bit of the   ABOMINATIONS MUSCLED ARM.

      SMALL SMILE BEGINS TO SPREAD upon her face, ears twitching softly as mismatched gaze casts upwards toward the falling drops of water descending before her. ah, to dance in the rain without a single care to fog her mind && steal her away for something more important — tasks, the burden of holding the star upon her shoulders where slip ups && wasting time could spell disaster && bring with it a sense of anxiety that oft stirs relentless within her core. oh, but this, this one fleeting moment of bliss, downtime, the sense of dread not hanging over her head as a swaying sword that threatens impending doom.

      let go, life is short && unpredictable.

      && she does, casting herself out into the downpour with reckless abandon as she’s wont to do, clasping her hands with his only to careen the pair into a dance. it is not as refined as she always holds herself  (  the picture of a hero; an elegant dancer as she always needed to be in her younger years  ); it is, instead, full of life, vigour, the feeling of letting her guard slip && simply enjoy his company in the pouring rain. all sealed with the smile that beams toward him, hair && clothing clinging to her without care, the gentle laugh that spills forth to signify her elation.

      ❝   i do hope you know the excuse for our drenched clothing shall be yours to think of.   ❞      a jest, tease thrown in his direction with another giggle. happiness, contended, feeling free for just one moment.

          “  Minfilia, I --  “  Rhyme finds themselves reaching in and brushing hair stuck to the side of their face out of the way to better see their expression. There’s a light smile, faint; hopefully something that can be read as supportive when they lean in and brush their lips against the top of their forehead for a light kiss. A little something to remind the other that they are very much there and very much ready to support her no matter what that might entail. 

They know what it feels like. Even if they might not fully understand what’s going on in her mind, they understand the feeling of being lost to the shadows. The choking hold being haunted with expectations thrusted upon oneself on top of added expectations from the very ones who were meant to love you most. It’s suffocating more days than not.

But she’s the one who needs to be lifted up more than anything.

          She could feel the choke attack the back of her throat and it takes everything in her willpower to not fall when she steps back in a swift attempt to create more distance between the two of them. Her lips twitch, her gaze shifts and despite the light red tell painting strokes across her cheeks, she’s already finding herself attempting to find something to say to set him off the trace.  “  Your ears are playing tricks on you,  “  she starts, arms fold across her chest and while not harsh, a glare looks him down, more so playful irritation than anything. 

“  Certain you haven’t taken one too many swings to the head?  “

Yet even she cannot deny the hammering pounding hard from within her chest, like the foot of a rabbit kicking against her ribs over and over. Feelings? When did she do feelings?

Nevermind to the confession which absolutely did slip out but moments prior. Pay no attention to the way she glances when he looks away, there’s nothing there. It’s all harmless play.
