Summary: Two years ago, a viral outbreak rose the dead. Considering how his life had gone up to this point, surgeon Trafalgar Law figured this might as well happen too. When a supply run into the nearby city gets intercepted by a seemingly reckless and impulsive former patient, the dependable routine Law had settled into in this new life shatters. He finds himself exposed — his body out in the infected landscape, his conscious clawing to define what he believes is right, his heart begrudgingly deciding to find a new home on his sleeve. Maybe there’s more than a virus roaming the new world that can bring a dead man back to life.

Latest Update: [7/21/24] WOWEE did I get myself carried away this morning. I just spent 5 hours organizing my comics and creating the digital comic book pages. Also i got the app Magic Poser and it's AWESOME and I immediately used it to block out sets cuz MAN I hate backgrounds.

[4/28/24] HULLO. It’s happeninnng. I’ve spent the last few weeks working on this comic, and I gotta make this post so I can start queuing pages & link this in them! This is the most like….legit? Comic endeavor I’ve undertaken perhaps….ever. I’m very nervous about committing to how long it will need to be lol. This story is dear to my heart — zombie content is kind of my very favorite. I’ve always found it to be a great backdrop for exploring themes like grief, coping with change, community, and learning to live again. It’ll be a long haul but I hope you’ll ride it out with me!! Tomorrow I’ll be posting the first two pages. After that a page will post every Monday/Wednesday/Friday. As of this post I’ve completed over 20 pages so that I have a good lead on what’s posting and continuing to write, so I’m hopeful that’s a cadence I’ll be able to maintain. I’ll update this post weekly to include the most recent pages the way I do with my main comics master post. All pages will be tagged 'Life After' and I'll tag any pages with zombies in them with 'zombie' for blacklisting etc.

Updates, Apologies, and Moving Forward!

Hello everyone! I am not dead, and this blog is not dead. I know I've been gone for a very long time again, and I'm very sorry.

I had to say goodbye to my cat, my emotional support animal, my baby. I won't say too much here, but she was suffering, and unfortunately there was nothing that could be done. My mental health is fragile at the best of times, and while I am okay and safe, it has been a difficult few months for me. I am also a full-time college student with a job, so all of my free hours were spent in grief. It's taken me a while to feel alright enough to come back, but here I am. I'm still passionate about queer representation in media, and I want to continue to share queer characters with the tumblr community. Starting tomorrow, I will resume the 8 times a day posting schedule that I was starting to utilize before my disappearance, as queueing posts makes my life much easier. I'm sorry if I don't respond to notes or asks left during my break. It's a lot to sort through and I value community engagement on this blog more than anything but I am just one person and I can only do so much. Feel free to re-send asks! Going forward, I'll be making a few changes. I am working on a publicly available google sheet of all characters that have been posted on this blog with results that I will link in a visible place so that people wanting to submit a character can (hopefully) quickly search to make sure that character hasn't been posted yet. I also will eventually be looking for another mod, although that will not be until the summer and I will make more posts when the time comes. I will personally be awol for the last few weeks of may and the first few weeks of june due to a job opportunity out of the country, but I am intending to have queued posts continuing to upload at the regular schedule during that time. Unfortunately this means I won't be able to edit mistakes or answer questions, but hopefully any issues can be addressed when I return. Thank you all for your patience, I'm sorry that this radio silence has gone on for so long, but I've thought about this blog a lot during my absence and I'm certain that it's not a project I'm giving up on any time soon.

MY WEDDING TRAUMA: A SURELY-SIMS x ICE-CREAMFORBREAKFAST COLLABORATION, CONVERTED TO THE SIMS 2 [download - 👰🏽🤵🏽]

are you tired of brides in white dresses and toddlers with perfect pink flower baskets? is cereal packet gameplay just not doing it for you anymore? maybe you'd like your weddings to put the 'strange' in strangetown? search no more, the ingredients for the strangest wedding in sim nation are finally here!

so, since i caught that one virus, i've been playing around a bit more with ts2 cc creation and finally had the time to work on converting a big set again. but then... what to convert? the answer came to me in the links section of a random lookbook... in a sort of fever dream. a set that captures the recent theme on my blog, families, and yet completely destroys it at the same time: my wedding trauma.

everything here is remarkably versatile. i mean, i know for a fact that people aren't just going to use that jumpsuit for a wedding, elvis needs more freedom than that! there are 9 cas items and 6 buy items for a total of 17 items in this set!

the original ts4 collaboration is complete perfection; it has just the sort of trashy, nonsensical vibes that the ts2 wedding department is sorely lacking. my conversion of this isn't perfect, i'm still learning how to do clothing and there are some minor issues mentioned below the cut, but overall i think that it came out pretty good and i hope it invokes some chaos in your game. 💥

Hi, Fayz here. You might know me from drawings like these.

The bad news is that I have lost my art blog. I have had it for nearly a decade, and one accidental click and it's deleted forever. (I had meant to delete a sideblog I wasn't using anymore. I didn't realize it would nuke ALL my blogs.)

So I guess there's nothing to do but start over from scratch. I am going to tag this with some of the fandoms I was in, in the hopes of spreading the word to people who would otherwise wonder where id gone. I would like to ask people to reblog this, so as many of my old followers can see this as possible.

All my posts are perma deleted. They only exist in reblogs now, not even in the tags. I suppose I could repost my personal favorites. That would take a long while, but it is possible (thank god I keep all my files on my computer. Plus i might be able to use the internet archive to salvage it.)

Still, I'm mourning the digital testament to the friendships I made on here. Nothing to do but rebuild it, i suppose.

EDIT: thank goodness for small fandoms! I have been looking through peoples blogs, and I managed to find a lot of old drawings. I'll reblog them, so that I don't lose the nice comments and tags (plus i enjoy having the original posts on here, even just as a reblog). Aug 2024 News!

Hello hello! Meant to get this up a bit sooner, but had some family things come up and I've been down with Covid the last bit of time. If you're a paid member, this will sound like a repeat of things I said a little earlier this month, but please bear with me, as I try and get everyone caught up with my plans. First off, major apologies again for falling off the face of the Earth the last... bit of time. Life has been hectic, but in between the crazy, I've managed to catch a few moments to come up with game plans for the comic. I won't go over everything right now, but just cover the up and coming things on the docket. The biggest thing to note coming up in the next month though is the relaunch of the comic.

I've been putting together a new home for Chameleon Charm over on ComicFury. You can actually view it here: https://chameleoncharm.thecomicseries.com/

There's no pages up yet and the extra pages - like the Cast and Fan Art pages and the like - aren't fully functional yet. I'm not actually very good at coding, or rather no good at all, cause I know nothing about code, so it's been a struggle getting the page to look the way I want it. It looks pretty good now though, so hopefully nothing breaks going forward, hahah. If it does, it because of my spaghetti coding and I apologize. Anyway, the plan is that starting Sept 18 - the comic's 12th year anniversary - I will be re-releasing the comic over on the new ComicFury page. I hope to get my custom domain to point to the ComicFury soon, though the Tumblr will remain up, for archival reasons/purposes. What I mean by a re-release is that I will be trickling out all the past pages over the next bit of time; all five chapters. There will be minor differences, as I'm doing some editing on the pages to readability and consistency, will some minor art edits.

The release schedule will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and once I get everything posted, will revert to the Tuesday and Friday release schedule I had back in the old days when I was hosted on Cup of Comics.

With what I have in terms of page count, for Chapters 1-5, it should neatly gets us to September of 2025, where then, I will finally start getting into Chapter 6, for real. I know that's still a long time, but this way, I have a built in buffer and time frame in which to work. Since I've gone on hiatus because of life and writer's block, I had not solid time frame in which to get back on the horse, so I'm setting one with the relaunch. So, short form, the plan is this: - Starting Sept 18, 2024, I will release Chapters 1-5 on the new ComicFury webpage, with a "new" page released on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays - By Sept 18, 2025, I should have things all set to roll smoothly into the long awaited Chapter 6

I've alluded to this before, but really, the time to think things through as really actually helped when it's come to story developments. Handing things on a page-by-page basis really wasn't a good idea, but hey, when I started the comic, I was young, dumb, and stupid and didn't know better. I'm older now so like to think I've learned some kind of lesson, lol. Anyway, the rest of the month is dedicated to the aforementioned edits so I can get pages queued up. I hope you'll enjoy revisiting the series through this relaunch and maybe have fun playing a game of Find the Difference on what I change. Again, they won't be big changes, but you know; for those people who like to keep track of such things (one reason why the Tumblr will remain). All I ask (aside from beseeching more of your continued patience and support, which I am eternally grateful for) is for you guys to help spread the word of the comic's release. I'll be putting up posts on the social media pages whenever a page goes live on the ComicFury (see here for all the official Chameleon Charm social media pages) and if you could like and share them around to get the comic in front of fresh, new eyes, that would be extremely helpful. But that's all for me for right now! I'll check in with everyone next month when the relaunch finally happens and to celebrate the 12th Year Anniversary. What I hoped for and imagined from the beginning was some sort of crowdsourced work. There is too much for any one person, and one of the biggest problems with Beatles' sources is that they're not all equally easy to get to for everyone. And although this has become personal for me, it is an objectively huge problem for all Beatles fans and scholars that the man who has collectively been called the Beatles historian has—and I cannot say this clearly enough—BEEN JUST MAKING SHIT UP.

He literally ends ‘Tune In’ with a fabricated line that he sources to John Lennon. (!!!)

And while it may seem like we are screaming into the void right now, I will tell you that we are not. I fear jinxing anything so I won't say more now, but our work is not in vain. People are paying attention. How can they help but pay attention? It's too shocking a betrayal. Too great a breach of trust. It has become overwhelming and impossible to ignore, and it has happened so quickly. Just by a few people taking the time to do the work.

And what is obvious now is that if you take a piece of source material that's referenced and go through it you will find butchered and fabricated quotes. And whether you do it that way or just check a footnote that interests you PLEASE TELL ME what you find! 🙏🏻

I am trying to gather all this up in one place. An ammo dump, if you will. If you want credit, tell me how you want to be credited, linked to, and any combination thereof. (I don't like taking credit for things I don't find, anyway.) But either shoot me a message or @ me or all of the above so we can collect all together and it can have the cumulative effect it deserves. If you look, you almost certainly will find.

If you have any Beatle magazines or Pete Best's book, "Beatle!" you could be a superhero. (One chapter of Best's book is available online, but I haven't been able to find the rest.) Or if you have any less-available source material I am urging you—begging you—to jump in and check some footnotes. With Lewisohn as bold as he is in the easily searchable things just imagine the license he's taking in the rest. But whether hard to find or commonplace, check a source. It adds up and it kind of feels good to uncover some bullshit.

For your edification and motivation I am adding a clip — lightly edited to take out some Lewisohn devolutions (so here's the queued up link) — of Mark Lewisohn bragging and basking in the praise of being called a historian who should be ranked alongside the great LBJ biographer Robert Caro, of him saying that the Beatles should appreciate anyone writing a biography of this high a standard about them, and a momentary lapse into deep resentment that they don't appreciate him. And then he gives his little speech about the Beatles being about “truth with a capital ‘T’” and how he is writing a biography to match that truth.

“Truth” is a word Mark Lewisohn needs to keep out of his mouth. If you feel like he should be struck by lightening for uttering it, that is exactly what I am talking about.

We are that lightening.

Honestly, what AKOM started is so awesome. It gave this an outlet. (And I still go back and listen for both source material and motivation.)

It's sickening to listen to this now. Sickening because Lewisohn has been making us all his dupes for far too long. We have been his marks, and there's almost nothing I hate more than being conned.

Life update and general ramblings under the cut. Honestly I have no expectation of anyone to actually read all of this, I just gotta get it out somewhere.

So. I'm gonna try to continue to keep things as normal on here as I can, but if I disappear, or if I'm not responding to things as consistently or as quickly, this is why:

I'm dealing with a little bit of a health scare right now. And before anyone freaks out (like I am) it's probably nothing major to be concerned about. But for those of you who don't know, I have major health anxiety and am a bit of a hypochondriac, so I've been more or less teetering on the edge of a complete breakdown since I found out about this. It's been hard to find the motivation or focus to do much of anything, and some of the other mental issues I've been dealing with like my OCD have been majorly triggered by the stress this whole thing has caused and are running rampant.

It's been really discouraging, not only because I'm dealing with the fear that I may be seriously ill, but also because all the progress I thought that I'd made in overcoming some of my psychological issues like my OCD feels like they've gone out the fucking window.

I have another test on Friday that will determine if something actually is truly wrong or not, and I likely won't get the results until the week after. So I'm more or less in my equivalent of purgatory until then.

I'm going to try to get some comments queued up this weekend, so I can at least say that I did something productive, and so I'm not completely absent on here in case I do need to vanish for a little while. If there's anything particular you want me to see or respond to, please tag me in it and give me a little nudge if I don't respond fast enough. I promise I'm not ignoring anyone on purpose.

And don't worry about this affecting Love Me Where I'm Most Ruined. I'll still be updating on my weekly schedule. And even if things do go as badly as my brain is convinced they will and I am in fact dying, I'm gonna do my best to try to finish the series.

Anyway, I don't mean to freak anyone out or anything. Like I said, I think that this is just mostly my health anxiety having a fucking field day with the rest of my brain. But I just wanted to explain why I may be or have been a little off.

I’m forever obsessed with how detailed your content is, and I can tell it takes so much time and effort to create it. With that said how do you manage posting everyday?

Do you schedule posts? If so how far in advance do you plan your content? Do you block out time and how do you balance it with other existing tasks like work, school, etc? Overall, I just want to know what goes on behind the scenes. I’ve been thinking of taking my account more seriously however time is such a big issue for me and I’m interested in hearing how other creators such as yourself handle it or any workarounds or recommendations you could provide.

Thank you so much for your kind words first of all, they are very much appreciated! As for content, posting everyday is not for the faint of heart as sometimes it can become quite draining, but I love the commitment I've made to doing it. I'm so proud to say I've done it for nearly a year and a half with technically no days off considering even while I am on holiday, I have posts going up while gone.

BUT, I do not recommend this method at all for most simmers because if you are someone who suffers with burnout easily or frequently, this will severely hurt your creative output. However, I do recommend posting frequently because I am a firm believer that consistency is one of the top ways to build a beautiful community.

I do schedule my posts, and currently I have a whole month queued out as I will be going on holiday for a while at some point in the coming months, so I've been prepping! And usually when I am prepping content, a lot of the motivation and drive comes at night, so I could push out maybe 4 lookbooks in one evening, and that covers me for 4 days. Sometimes it's only 1, other days like a week ago I made like 8 in an evening. It all comes down to creative drive and inspiration with that in mind.

If you wish to start taking content more seriously, there truly is no "right" method because everyone's journeys are so different. But my formula was posting every single day and trying to be as active as possible with the community as a whole.

At the end of the day, you need to find a method/formula that works for you because my method may not work for you for reasons stated prior. I recommend searching for what fits your schedule and creative drive, and see if you can expand on it! I wish you the best of luck in this community when you do decide to take simblr more seriously.

Important blog & mun update

[ tldr; not a happy update might be gone a few days. queued up some replies this morning but got some not fun family news a few days ago today it has come to my breaking point mentally. explained further below but be wary of the trigger warnings - other note if anyone wants my discord then please message me - mutuals / close friends only ]

{ My gran is in the hospital and I know its the best place for her to be to look after her. But having heard whats been going on - her calling my cousin early in the morning to say she'd been kidnapped, to her not eating and being on liquid food - it's been hard but hearing her this morning on the phone sound so negative and defeated which isnt like her, broke me. I went to work to explain and well I came home, I mentally am on a hairline trigger for crying right now, bottled it up so long even before this that I just broke. I'm scared because this is what it was like for my grandad, her husband before he passed and Im terrified.

So I wanted to update that I may disappear for a few days from here IMs and otherwise, if any of my close friends or mutuals here would like my discord please message me and I can give. It easier to get hold of me there. I may also lurk in my drafts and queue up replies, but thats only a maybe and I don't know how much I can do right now.

Hello Friends!

Long time no see! I hope you are all doing well and that the holidays have been smooth for you. I was snooping around on Tumblr and realized that I hadn't posted in a while, and I have a few inboxes about the state of my simblr story. I thought I could make this little update!

My life has drastically changed since the last time I spoke to you all. I've moved into an apartment with my boyfriend and his sister, we have two cats, and I barely find the time to sit down and play anything anymore, much less the Sims. But that isn't the reason I've been gone so long! Lord knows I'm slightly insane and I have posts queued up for weeks, perhaps a month or two, but the main reason I haven't posted or even played the Sims 4 since before Horses came out (that sounds crazy) is because the last time I had tried to play the Sims 4, my game was severally broken. No matter what I did, nothing was fixing it, and after about three weeks of trying to fix it, I eventually gave up.

I actually went back to the SIms 3, and have been enjoying the little amount of downtime that I have to play. It's a breath of fresh air to not have to constantly worry about mods being outdated, or seeing if my game broke because of a patch. That being said, I do miss the Sims 4, and my many, many little pixel families, and of course, the Baudelaires, this Tumblr, and the friends I've made here.

This isn't the end of the Baudelaires by a long shot, and while I don't know when I'll be back, I am going to try and be a tech geek and see if I fix my game soon. In the meantime, I'll probably lurk around and read up on my favorite stories, see the latest Simblr discourse (jk) and of course, see the new CC content creators have dropped.

Do you enjoy your interactions with the rp community? Generally speaking, yes, sometimes no, but being more selective and curating of my own space makes it something I love (on most days)

Have you made any friends since creating your blog? Yes! You included, I have made a few friends along the way (and hope to make more when life fucking slows down).

Have you ever done something embarrassing or made any mistakes that you can’t forget about? Hmmm, not a lot I don't think? Here or there stupid grammar mistakes or punctuation issues haunt me though after even reading a reply three or four times before posting it lol.

Are there any ships for your muse that you enjoy, or ships that you would like to see happen? I mean I love all his ships, I think having more angsty ships or ships with more 'evil' characters could be super fun.

What is something or someone you have always wanted to write with? i.e. a particular plot, a character, etc. Some more obscure characters, such as Maleficent (which I do have someone I'm starting to plot with when life doesn't get in the way lol), any studio ghibli muses could be super wholesome and fun. That's about it because some characters I'm learning are cursed that I shall never write with after bad experiences.

What are your biggest pet peeves when it comes to tumblr? The DMs are so broken for me personally for like two months they suck!! Some of the stigma behind 'oh I can't approach this person cause graphics and intimidation' can get a little exhausting but I know it can't be helped. Just the little things.

Is there anything you dislike about your muse? I don't think so? Maybe his aggression or that he suppresses some things until he explodes which clearly isn't healthy. (ooc is lack of content but hopefully more comes soon even though the creators for him are literally gone)

Do you have any insecurities about writing and/or interacting with other people? Sometimes I do get a little worried that my writing isn't good enough, like if I'm having an off day and things just don't flow quite right but I still post it anyways. Or if I feel like I don't send enough/too many memes, things like that.

What is your favourite thing about your muse? What he means to me, he's an incredibly personal creation of mine and I know this might be more abstract than the question calls for. But he is loved on many different levels for me and the fact I can try to bring awareness to not only veterans sacrifices and suffering, but also chronic pain and other little things, I'm glad to try and do that through a fleshed out character who I love.

Is there anyone who inspires you or that you look up to? I have some people here who inspire me, you being one of them and a couple other folks. Some writers inspire me and always have to write, like Adrienne Young, Brandon Mull, Grady Hendrix. I love their writing and their stories and it pushes me to try and improve my writing at any turn I can.

What time of day are you more inclined to write? During the week typically evening time is when I can sit down and get written out drafts typed and queued, but sometimes in the afternoon is when I find I get inspired, handwrite a few replies, and then type them up later. Usually on weekends it can vary from morning to afternoon, evenings are generally for other things.

What are some similarities between you and your muse? His love of handmade things. The fact Tegan quilts, I quilt myself and am amassing a collection of them. Melanie knits and crochets, which I also do, and that's where Logan gets his nice wooly socks from, scarves, and some homemade decor (specifically for fall). Otherwise I guess our other similarity is living with and learning to deal with chronic pain.

What are some differences between you and your muse? I am not a soldier or military member in any way, but a few of my family members are. So I learn from them how to portray him (learn meaning observing cause no way am I asking) and other shows how to portray his issues correctly and without diminishing it's importance or overembellishing it.

Do you have any pets? I do! An elderly, very round, cat we inherited from my husband's mom and recently passed father in law. Her name is kitty cause...she never really had a name. She currently has a bed on my desk so she's sitting right next to my laptop now purring away and I love her even when she gets grumpy and annoying lol.

Are there any pets you wish you could have? I would like to have a dog again given my last one passed away about two years ago now, I'm contemplating getting a memorial tattoo for her soon, but she will always be my first baby.

What are some of your favourite hobbies? Aside from the obvious that I talk about here all the time, I really do love reading though I'm currently in a bit of a slump because said hobbies take up the remainder of my down time right now. Otherwise I do like gaming, rebuilding my animal crossing island and trying to get it to five stars and dream addressed is my current goal after having the game since launch and never getting an island complete lol.

What is your current big obsession? Crocheting the cutest little ghostie plushies, I'm making three for my coworkers, one for mom, and I made the first one for me just to make sure I understood the pattern correctly. I'm also making Mickey pumpkin plushies too, one for me, one for mom, and two for my coworkers and I need to get the big puffy bows sewn together soon. I'm done with two so far.

Have you ever met an rp partner in real life? Would you like to? I have no met an rp partner in reality but I would love to! Would ideally be someone I consider a friend and am very close with, though.
