Pokémon Fic Recs
Because I read a lot of fics and am always on the prowl, so I felt like sharing a non exhaustive rec list under read more. Feel free to add recs on reblog if you want!
Savoir-Faire: To Know and To Do - This is the one. If there is a fic I beg everyone to read it's this. multi-chapter but not that long PLEASE do it. MC of an alternate XY was cursed by rampaging Legendaries with immortality. 10 years later, jaded Marguerite Linden du Bois is finishing her paper on Pokémon World Sociology, taking a newbie trainer for the road. Read for Humanities Things, Ghost-Types, the apathetic weight of immortality, worldbuilding, the workings of Pokémon League, Research Assistant Darkray, Royalty and more. I am begging you to read it.
Ashes of the Past - Peggy Sue fic where Cyrus destroyed the world and Arceus decided the best way to deal with that was send Ash back to the start of his journey (after some Aura training). Saphroneth writes fights *amazingly*, specially around Orange Island, where he took a break and came back with a glow-up. Fic is dead now, but consider reading, if nothing else, the Suicune or the Tobias Fight.
A professor and student + The 48 - I have this unproved feeling there is an overkill amount of “Ash is traumatized after Kalos" but this is The one about it. Kukui takes care of Ash in Alola and helping the boy set some boundaries and stuff. This and the wider “The 48” series are amazing Ash, and you can find great longer fics and one-shots alike here. Adults but not grown-ups (Alola Supporting Cast one-shots) and Left Behind (Ash and a Future Ash end up swapping time places during XY while brock is visiting) are real stand-outs.
You Thought - Aliens invaded and took over the Pokémon World, but actual Pokémons still give them trouble. The premise may seem weird, but it is a means for amazing descriptions of how even the common Meowth could be terrifying and disruptive for an outside-context watcher.
A home can be found - Lillie during and after OG SM, finding a new family with Kukui, Bunet and her friends.
What the Sun Leaves Behind - Hau is inheriting Hala’s spot as kahuna after the latter died, and Gladion shows up to give him a pep talk when Hau runs off into the woods from nerves. It is tagged as Hau/Gladion but it is really a platonic deal.
A Little Bit of Maschiff - Juliana decides that getting a Maschiff of her own is the perfect thing for her friendship with Arven. She gets more than she bargained for, with Arven helping her tame the wretched beast.
The Clues - isshushipping. 5+1 One-Shot Fic of N being In Denial about Team Plasma during BW.
colder in the summertime - One-shot. Morty is cursed. Read for pretty boys in cold fever, nosebleeds, exhaustion, the whole shish-kebab.
Read It Now.
Collateral - Faller!Touya, and the International Police helping him, while his friends try to find him. Sad. Great.
Pinky Promise - Gloria/Hop One-Shot. Hop fighting for dear life to get Gloria a Christmas Gift.
Massive “The Kids Are Doing Fine” energy. Adorable.
The Earth, the Sky and the Sea - An enigmatic narrator retells and expands the Hoenn Weather Trio story. Excellent atmosphere.
HIS2435: Sinnohan Myths and Legends - Cynthia giving a College-level History Class. Chaos Mayhem Etc. Lots of author touches and headcanons and references but can be comfily (and hilariously) read on its own.
Masahop/Train shipping section (I may have a problem)
Do you believe in love at first sight? - Hop getting a crush on Gloria, slowly realizing over the years he’s actually in Love with Victor. Vic is the MC/Champion. The fic has a charmingly unique Victor (chronically ill/frail immune system - Hop gets to care for his health a Lot it’s cute), and feels very Earnestly Adorable in Hop’s bisexual crisis. writer is requesting feedback so please give them some love!
Kiss Your Neo Champion - Hop got his Neo Champion clothes. He has a boyfriend. What is not clicking
Sunshine Riptide - Instead of Words, I’ll put these excerpts here:

Orre Headcanons (Pt. 1)
This is a list of established headcanons that I have regarding the Orre region in particular. It is by no means comprehensive and in no particular order. But this may be useful if you aren't super familiar with the region or just want to better understand my portrayal of Rui.
It's dangerous. It is a hotbed for illegal activity due to a lack of structure. Relative security only exists in well-off places like Phenac City. Most other areas ward off trouble through show of strength, with ruffians keeping some sense of order in Pyrite Town and elderly and retired Ace Trainers looking out for one another in Agate Village.
It's isolated. Orre doesn't border any other regions of particular note. Drive out beyond what is considered Orre and you will meet only ever expanding desert landscapes. Gateon Port is the only gateway to the outside world, and where most of the supplies come in from. Naturally this means whoever controls Gateon controls the lifeblood of Orre. And gangs have nicely carved up each street and neighborhood between themselves.
It's vast. The locations within Orre are not well-linked and spread far apart. You can't walk from Phenac to Mt. Battle. Thus, people need to learn quickly how to move from place to place, either through use of vehicles or Pokémon that can traverse the lands.
It's ancient. Orre has a naturally low population, and the infrastructure doesn't do well for supporting large groups of people. However, it has been continuously inhabited for a long time, far before Phenac or Gateon were established. Much of this ancient society has been lost to the sands, but occasionally it peers through, notably the people of Agate Village continuously inhabiting the patch of Primeval forest where ancient Orreans worshipped Celebi.
It's fiercely independent. Despite its many shortcomings, people from Orre tend to be quite proud of what they manage to carve out for themselves. They loathe to let in big business tycoons and can be weary of strangers, sometimes even to the point of xenophobia. All this to protect their way of life.
It's technologically stunted. While the world around Orre modernized rapidly, change comes slowly to the isolated region. Technology feels like it's still caught decades in the past, and appliances from Orre discard sleek and flashy designs in favor of bulky but rugged tech that, while not modern, will weather the elements well.
#HEADCANON : Shedding Light 🏜️#(Might make more might not)#(Figured I'd put pen to paper and lay these out for you all though!)#(It's one of the most unique settings to me so I'm on board with writing its history in a major way!)

Thinkin about Team Aqua and Magma
When going over the villains and their teams in Pokémon, their actions typically range from the simple theft of Pokémon to unforgivable crimes, such as disturbing or controlling a legendary Pokémon to achieve a goal.
However, the only team leaders I’ve seen actually regret and try to fix their actions are Archie and Maxie. I don’t qualify N as he’s not the actual leader of his team, nor is he a true villain, falling more in the category of anti-hero. Guzma and Team Skull aren’t really the villains of their game either, just a gang of kids hired by Lusamine. At the end of Emerald, once the leaders realize their respective plans are destroying the world, they agree to put aside their disagreements in order to save everyone. After the game is completed, both leaders return the orbs they stole, and disband their teams of their own volition. Similarly, in ORAS, once a leader realizes his mistake, the leaders join and fight together against the game’s legendary weather Pokémon, and later reconcile. This leads to my next thought. Why did this all happen?
The reasons for the creation of both teams and hunting of Kyogre and Groudon is given in the games; Archie wants to expand the sea, and return it to the Pokémon, Maxie wants to create for land for the humans. When put out like this, these ideas are more noble, and both parties just want to help someone or something. Somehow though, we got to Archie and Maxie fighting to destroy both the world, and each other.
|| EVERYTHING FROM HERE IS PERSONAL OPINIONS AND HEADCANONS ||
Based on the fact that the two have such similar plans, and already seem to know the other well before the events of the games, I believe it’s likely that the two of them grew up together, and may have been close friends once, long before the games. They would have gone through school together, which is where they both first learned about the weather trio. I like to think that Maxie was the first to plan about helping the people, and expanding/repurposing land to do so. Watching this inspired Archie, and he focused on helping in his own way, working as a Pokemon Marine Rescuer. They continued this, and as they grew older, they grew apart, and Archie began to fight with Maxie about how his “important projects” were destroying the sea. This angered Maxie, as he believed his work to help humans was more important than the loss of some marine life. Tensions grew and their fights began to worsen, and at the end of their latest argument, Archie would leave for a distant rescue before making up with Maxie. While Archie was gone, Maxie stewed, and he began looking further into the stories of the ancient Pokémon Groudon as he worked, sowing the seeds that would lead to the weather apocalypse. Archie eventually came back to apologize to Maxie, but when he arrived, found Maxie’s latest project: the plan to awaken Groudon and use it to reduce the seas of Hoenn. Archie was furious, asking if Maxie realized how much this would hurt the Pokémon and their environment if he succeeded. Maxie responded harshly, saying that the lives of a few Pokémon were well worth the expansion and advancement of the people of Hoenn. This was the breaking point of their relationship. Archie, hurt and angry with his once-trusted friend’s decisions, steals Maxie’s plans, the only change in this being the legendary Kyogre, and it’s power to increase the seas. This betrayal then breaks Maxie’s side of their friendship. From here, both teams began to come together, and both leaders began to lose sight of their original goals: help the people, help the Pokémon.
Continuing on from here, slightly deviating and blending together the plot of the games, we follow Archie as our main villain, as Aqua attempts to steal the Devon Goods, then fights to retrieve the meteorite to slow Maxie and Magma on Mt. Chimney. Archie later sends Aqua to attack the Weather Institute to gain more information on Kyogre, as Maxie had only ever made plans around Groudon. Archie is the first to reach to reach Mt. Pyre, but takes the wrong orb, which begins to key in Maxie to the disaster on the horizon. The protagonist goes to storm the Magma Hideout, but upon reaching the end, finds Maxie refusing to fight. Maxie proposes a temporary truce to the protagonist, stating that trying to awaken Groudon with the wrong orb wasn’t likely to work, and that despite this obvious point, Archie would still use the Red Orb on Kyogre, awakening it without any control. The pair battle through the Aqua Hideout to stop Archie from boarding his stolen submarine, but arrive too late. Archie manages to make to Seafloor Cavern, and awaken Kyogre. Just as Maxie expected, Archie has no power over Kyogre, leaving it to climb to the surface, and push the weather out of balance. As the protagonist and the two leaders come to the surface, Archie states that none of this was what he wanted, that he just wanted the Pokémon and the sea he loved so much to thrive. Upon hearing this Maxie relents slightly, telling Archie he had never meant to go this far. The pair agree to work together help fix the mess they created, holding back Kyogre while the protagonist makes their way to Sootopolis to protect the Cave of Origin. From here, the story finishes out as normal, with the defeat of Kyogre, and the saving of Hoenn. Both teams are disbanded, the Orbs are returned to Mt. Pyre, and the leaders reconcile. What happens to the leaders after this is more vague, as the games have both leaders simply start anew. I want to leave their future mostly up to interpretation, though I think they’d likely face some sort of repercussions for the near-destruction of Hoenn, even if they did also help save it. It’d be nice though if Archie became a rescuer again, and Maxie became a sort of teacher, to continue his research in the earth. And this time, they don’t screw their friendship up.
Conclusion? Two friends-turned-enemies fight so hard they forget the basic science and Pokémon history classes they took together. I thought way too hard about this, but it was fun and I love these two and all of their dumb decisions.

Introductions
Prepare for trouble!
And make it double!
To protect the world from devastation!
To unite all peoples within our nation!
To denounce the evils of truth and love!
To extend our reach to the stars above!
Rat!
Cel!
Team moob_enthusiasts_316 blasts off at the speed of light!
Surrender now, or prepare to fight!
Hello hello and welcome to our blog! A quick spur-of-the-moment decision sparked the creation of this account, though we are both excited to see it through! The main focus of this account is to simply share our drabbles for whatever fandoms we may be interested in that week, and to post some of our fanfiction ideas that we never really got off the ground. At this time we are both open to most fandom writing requests, simply because we’d love to expand our horizons on that front. Below you can read about both members of this account, their interests, and some excerpts of their writing!
For starters, hello, I’m Rat! My pronouns are She/It/They, and I’m pansexual! I’ve been writing for many years now, though I've never had the confidence to actually post anything. I remember a bit over a year ago I had attempted to make a personal tumblr account, but I never went through with it. Thankfully Cel was kind enough to pressure me into this <3. On top of writing I’d love to share my current musings about the Jack Reacher books, as I’ve recently re-discovered them after a few years of not looking into them. Lee Child is a huge inspiration for me, and I hope to convey that through my semi-obnoxious posts about his books 💔.
Currently I’ve been fixating on a few pieces of media, consisting of
Overwatch 2
Call Of Duty (Though you’ll never catch me supporting the games messages.)
Psych
The Jack Reacher book series by Lee Child
I also occasionally bounce back and forth between JJBA and WC.
Fandoms I have written for before consist of
Haikyuu
Genshin Impact (Sadly…)
Final Fantasy
Hunter x Hunter
Bungou Stray Dogs
Fairy Tail
Marvel and DC (Also sadly)
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure
If You Have Any Requests, Be Sure To Check This Out!
My requests are currently open for any fandoms mentioned in both sections above! I dabble in a bit of everything,
Character(s) x Character(s)
Headcanons
Character(s) x Reader
I’ll happily write
Fluff
Angst
However I absolutely will not write anything bordering on pro-shipping, incest, noncon or pedophilia. Any requests containing these topics will be refused.
That’s all from me, I’ll let Cel take it away!
Hai I’m Cel! I go by any pronouns. My intro won’t be as fancy as rats because I’m a newbie. I’ve only been writing for a few months, but I’m eager to improve. I’m a sucker for women so there will probably be a lot of fem x fem, sometimes (sadly - Rat) I like to write about big giant hunks with fat boobs 😞. Lmk if there are any mistakes in my work or things that will help me improve! (>‿◠)✌
Fandoms I would write for (There could be more!)
Dc
Overwatch
Apex
The last of us
Twd
Dead or alive
Ace attorney
The Arcana (visual novel)
Borderlands
Bioshock
Sally face
Resident evil
Arcane
Death Note
Pokémon (The beginning was my idea :)))
Requests Info
My requests are currently open for any fandoms mentioned above :)
Character x Character
Headcanons
Character x Reader
I like to write
Fluff
And lots of…Smut ;))
Will not write anything bordering on pro-shipping, incest, noncon or pedophilia. Any requests containing these topics will be refused.
We hope to update this with a link to our ao3 account when it becomes approved!

Random Pokémon headcanon dump
The southern half of France, the Midi region, is underwater because Napoleon summoned Kyogre to help strengthen the Navy given Galar’s Navy having a powerful influence. Kyogre decided to expand the Mediterranean.
Humans in the Pokémon world can have hair in unusual colors naturally.
Halloween decorations like this one exist even for Pokémon like Ditto, Voltorb, Geodude, etc.

🍔, ⚾️, 👻
🍔- What kind of food does your muse usually eat? Do they have a favorite food, or favorite style of food? Do they have allergies? Are they vegan, vegetarian, etc.?
// rika tries to mantain a healthy and varied diet. she's not picky and there's few things in foods she can't tolerate. from meat, to fish, to veggies and everything in between, she's all good with almost anything. however she does have a sweet tooth - she really likes ice cream and churros, and you can see her eating them at any time of year. as for more lunch based foods, she has a weakness for pinchitos, tortillas de patata, quesadillas and salisbury steaks, the latter of which are often sold at barato's.
she doesn't have any allergies, nor is she vegan/vegetarian. although she's not lactose intolerant however, she does prefer to drink lactose-free milk, as it's easier for her stomach. doesn't mean she can't drink regular milk but she can handle lactose-free better.
⚾️- Does your muse enjoy sports? Do they play any, or do they simply prefer to watch? Do they have a favorite sport?
// she was a master of dodgeball as a kid, and really enjoys playing baseball. due to her current job though she doesn't really have any time to indulge in those things, but she enjoys going for a jog every once in a while and working out, even when it's for a short time.
👻- How does your muse handle feeling scared? Do they enjoy horror? Do they believe in the paranormal? What calms your muse down? Do they have any scary stories?
// she has the very normal fear of people she loves simply abandoning her, or her fucking up in a way that causes them to never want to talk with her anymore. but she's also super afraid of something horrible happening to them. let's face it - as a teen, she used to be rather reckless and hasty, and geeta knows the amount of times she's almost adventured into dangerous areas either because of a dare or to 'look cool'.
but that's one of the reasons she's so protective of the player character when she discovers they went into area zero: precisely because one time she ventured somewhere she shouldn't have gone, and nearly endangered herself. if it hadn't been for geeta and her own wooper, she probably would've taken a severe beating at the least, or even lost her life at worst. i'd like to expand onto this in the future-
but going back to the questions. she kind of. screams (whether internally or externally) but desperately tries to find a solution to the problem, either by fleeing or facing it head on, depending on what it is. she believes in the baseline paranormal of the pokémon world, which are ghost pokémon.
as for things that relax her after a terrible situation has transpired, holding her hand and rubbing her shoulders/back works. and as it's customary to give to my muses, she finds the touch of fluffy/squishy things relaxing, like plushes full of beads or blankets, as well as someone's arm. and i have the headcanon she keeps a small fidget toy in her pockets she barely takes out of there, as she prefers putting her hands in her pockets and using it covertly.

Heidi Info: Public vs Private
Public Information:
Heidi is the current Arceus of her current world.
Heidi's actually a Shiny Latias! She simply calls herself as "Acting-Arceus"
Heidi lived in a world by the name of Gaia until six years ago.
Heidi's home world is what is now called the Ruined Kingdom.
Heidi is the hero that defeated Friede, the World Cleanser. Friede is the Arceus of Heidi's home world.
Heidi is responsible for many of the surviving Legendary Pokémon of Ruined Kingom's move and adjustment into her current world.
Heidi has direct and consistent communication with every active Legendary in the current world, whether they're from the world or not.
[main verse / main ship] Heidi is currently in a relationship with Nergal, her world's Eternatus.
Heidi is accompanied by an Unown named Ghost that possesses her Rotom Phone instead of a standard Rotom.
Protected (Semi-Public) Information:
Heidi became Arceus because Izanami, the previous Arceus, forced her to become an Arceus without her knowledge or consent.
Heidi's nickname is "Lacey," which was her original nickname that Zinnia gave her. She still actively goes by that name.
Heidi is no longer a vegetarian, but still cuts down a lot of meat consumption after living with Rayquaza and Zinnia.
Heidi's biological father is Jörmungandr, her shiny Rayquaza. She didn't know this information until a couple of months ago.
Izanagi was responsible for forcibly transporting Heidi from the Ruined Kingdom to Gaia. Aether meddling was responsible for transporting her and Lauren from Gaia to Elysium.
Heidi is best explained as an introvert who pretends to be extroverted. She uses so much energy with her job and talking with multiple family members, but she prefers her own thoughts.
Heidi has a child with Rayquaza! It's a Latios named "Lati."
Heidi is a Shadow Pokémon... sort of. While she doesn't act or behave like a Shadow Pokémon, she has another form of herself that is a Shadow Pokémon named Lacey. They consider themselves separate entities, however. (For more information, refer to this headcanon about Heidi and Lacey)
Heidi is responsible for killing the original Palkia of this world, although it was because of the circumstances at the time.
Heidi has direct communication with two versions of herself: one where she never became an Arceus, and one where she's always been an Arceus. All three consider each other as sisters.
Heidi is the only Legendary Pokémon from her home world with a Pokémon form. Everyone else only has gijinka / human forms for some inexplicable reason.
Ghost helps Heidi with some of the more advanced Creation abilities, as it can sometimes be difficult to rely on her own Creation abilities for complex measures.
Private Information:
Heidi deeply misses her old life. She'd trade her current life with her old one in a heartbeat... as long as it means that Izanami would remain Arceus and the world was still safe from Friede.
Heidi and Jörmungandr fell in love with each other and planned to be together after the weather wars; however, this was dashed when Heidi disappeared. NEITHER PARTY WILL ACKNOWLEDGE THIS FACT NOW THAT THEY KNOW THEIR FAMILY HISTORY.
Heidi specifically requested for Lauren to find a way for her to no longer be Arceus, since Lauren is the smarter of the two of them.
Heidi used to be a very sickly Latias when she lived in Gaia. She would be weak and fall ill frequently for strange and unexplained reasons.
If Heidi makes a scientific discovery or breakthrough, she gives the findings, experiments, and credit to Lauren so that Lauren can expand on them. Heidi doesn't actively have any patents on her own.
[main verse / main ship] Heidi's been in love with Nergal since at least a year or two before her and Rayquaza got a divorce, but never once considered doing anything because she still loved her husband so much. (Rayquaza knew that she liked Nergal and wouldn't have minded if she did something as long as she stayed safe)
Zinnia's still her favorite human in this world. She'd steal the Lorekeeper and be her Pokémon again in a heartbeat if something happened if it weren't for the deep bond between Zinnia and Rayquaza.
Heidi remembers that every Legendary Pokémon from her home world had Pokémon forms. She has no idea why many of them don't now.

Shed cottonee leaves are sometimes used in the traditional Portuscal dish peixinhos da horta, the ancestor of the Kantonian tempura; the leaves are battered and deep-fried, then sprinkled with lemon juice.
#pokemon#pokemon headcanons#cottonee#((portuscal = portugal#for regions that don't appear in the Pokémon canon#I'm just looking up old or alternative names#if a region ever gets announced I'll change the name to match#but there's a whole world and so few regions#so I'm expanding the universe))

Cinnabar island’s part of Sevii! Sort of; Sevii’s based off of Japan’s Izu Seven, and Cinnabar’s based off of Izu Oshima, which is the first and largest island in the chain. It’s like one big mama island with its little group of island-lings. In the context of the games though Cinnabar isn’t part of the big seven in Sevii, which would be… Islands One through Seven. It’s in the greater Sevii archipelago in the same way that Birth Island and Navel Rock are, in that they’re all part of the same chain of volcanic islands but that the numbered islands are just much closer to each other culturally. Sevii islanders tend to look more fondly on Cinnabar than they do the rest of Kanto and have a habit of not really referring to it when they talk about ‘the mainland’.
The people of Cinnabar on the other hand completely consider themselves part of Kanto’s mainland and will almost never refer to themselves as having anything to do with Sevii because ( other than just not being part of the Big Seven ) A: when you say you’re from Sevii people tend to think you’re from some balmy beachside out of the way vacation place and Cinnabar is a technological powerhouse and most definitely NOT as out-there and remote as Sevii is and B: getting associated with a cluster of islands primarily known for being pretty in terms of nature and devoid of anything but fishermen is… Not very hip. It’s only cool to go to Sevii, for a vacation ( it’s actually a pretty popular vacation destination for people from both Kanto and Hoenn ) but if you live there you’re immediately assumed to be either a fisherman, a sailor or some loner.
There’s a reason youngsters on One Island are all stated to want to leave One Island, other than Celio because he’s just a shut-in. To-shima ( and Nii-jima ), the island One Island is based off of, has about three hundred inhabitants and its main claim to fame is the volcano, the hot springs covering the island thanks to said volcano, and the fact that it’s basically bright red because 80% of the island is covered in camellias for eight of the twelve months of the year. There isn’t that much to do if you live there permanently.
People from One Island specifically are usually known for being kind and cooperative. ‘Moyai’ is a term cheered frequently by the locals that in the local dialect translates to ‘tying our boats together’ or ‘working together cooperatively’, so a stereotype about Sevii Islanders on the mainland is that they’re pushovers. Team Rocket and the Kanto Pokemon Federation coming in and collectively punching the archipelago in the face didn’t help that any.

I'm just imagining Markoth talking about Hallownest's history and, probably out of legit wariness because better safe then sorry, describing the Plague and it's symptoms, even telling others that if he starts to show signs of them, either plain old lock him up without any of his Pokémon at least, put him down and out of his misery at worst. Because, again, better safe then sorry.
Interesting thought!
When this takes place in my head it’s happening after Ghost has defeated Radiance in the Godhome Ending. I definitely don’t want to just shoot down this idea, because it’s interesting. It makes sense for Markoth, who in my headcanon, his later life got so affected by the Infection it tore his husband away from him and to his death, and his entire tribe fell to pieces around him - with nothing he could do but watch - to be still so wary about the Infection even after the source had been purged.
I feel like the Infection is a story Markoth glosses over very quickly and briefly when talking about Hallownest’s history. It’s not something he wants the kids to ever hear. It’s not a story he feels could be expressed near the folks of Jubilife. He doesn’t think burdening someone like Ingo, who’s got his own can of worms to deal with, with his trauma is a good idea. He pretends like the different cultures in Hallownest are all still alive, because explaining how it’s all a dead kingdom and gone is suddenly too much when he’s faced with a living and expanding village.
If he were to tell and caution anyone about him possibly showing Infection symptoms - it would be Laventon and only Laventon.
I think Laventon, who’s been defending him and by his side since he first found himself in Hisui, is the person he trusts the most. And if anything, the confiding that a Plague stormed his home and could possibly affect him here, is like…a bonding moment? Laventon can see that promising Markoth that if he sees the signs that he won’t let him ever get a chance to hurt anyone, visibly relaxes Markoth. But Laventon is also told that the source was killed, and that people like Myla got to come back from it. I think he’d take the chance to comfort Markoth. That he doesn’t think it will affect him here, he’s so far away, the source isn’t around anymore. It’s ok to be worried, even scared, just that it’d be ok. It won’t get him here. Laventon is sure of it.
I’m a softie, and I love the inherit soft of someone getting to vent and being comforted and treated seriously. Laventon doesn’t believe this Infection will affect Markoth here, there’s a lot of things that would make it a very very low probability, but he absolutely won’t brush it off. He can see even the notion of the Infection still affects Markoth negatively, and he doesn’t like to see that. If anything, despite Markoth not mentioning how it killed people he cared about, it still gives Laventon even the tiniest hint, that the world Markoth came from is darker than Hisui.
#happy screms#a moth in hisui#i hijack the pretty hurty ask and turn it into hurt/comfort hehe#but really interesting one!#i just think that it’s not a story he could tell without detailing that he is actually dead. but he’s alive here. but-#it’s complicated. and he’d rather keep things simple. and it’s a traumatising experience for him#it’s not something he wants to always revisit#hisuian people for the moment fear pokemon and to markoth whilst it’s a rational fear they can have#it’s so different from him. this lack of fear of losing oneself#but really i think laventon could rationalise it better to keep markoth on track#sure he promises that if it ever happened he’d do what markoth asked#but he can rationalise that it probably won’t happen. and he can comfort markoth with it#your honour#they’re friends#let the soft science dad be friends with the hardened loner dad#I’m now plagued by the image of him getting to lean on#even hug laventon to get comfort. goddammit the comfort is invading my brain

Genshin SAGAO X SCP Crossover, Theory Work 2.
Normal AU + Bonus: Imposter!AU X SCP-999 and SCP-131.
You have SCPs instead of Paimon ehe~ Category: Fluffy
Taglist: @xyliope @under-a-starry-night @gunterdon
Similar to the SAGAO Digimon Companion sub-AU, you have a pet accompanying you as you are transported to the Genshin Universe. Except this time, you get more friends/pets!
When you and the two friendly serotonin friends land on Teyvat’s lands, the initial suspicion on your identity is completely wiped by SCP-999’s wholesome abilities.
If you are unfamiliar with SCP-999’s lore, it has a similar but more intense aura that amplifies positive emotions, further strengthened by physical contacts. An invulnerable ‘good boi’ that acts similarly to Guoba. As for SCP-131, it’s a pair of floating Pokémon-looking eye pods. These orange-and-yellow pair of orbs are friendly to all humans the same way SCP-999 is, and they have the bonus ability to alarm you while being your surveillance pets.
With the help of these SC(om)P(anion)s’ abilities, paired with your natural aura, you shall be 100% safe, if not already trusted by the mortals of this world.
In the normal SAGAO AU, where you would already be welcomed, you may receive greater/swifter compliance from any folks harbouring doubt of your identity. Once you tour and meet most people, your cult will only grow, both in numbers and in loyalty to you, their deity. Your companions get to be worshipped too, so that’s nice! Your booster-like aura gets buffed by the jello, while your pair of floating orbs add extra defence on your turf. Peace and near-guaranteed safety shall follow your traversing feet.
In the Imposter!AU, when if you weren’t on sufficient guard, either the orange jello pacifies the crowd, or the orbs’ helicopter surveillances, would keep you alive. You get to focus on foraging for food, cooking, as well as putting together shelters for you four (1 god, 1 jello, and 2 orbs). The imposter’s following will diminish; as your party’s connection with Teyvat strengthens and the bond boosts all four of your auras. The stronger your auras become, the stronger your abilities and unlocked talents become. As long as your three companions stick with you, you are guaranteed justice and the worship you deserve.
In a nutshell, grab your three local wholesome SCP companions before you enter Teyvat’s one-way portal! Even a god can feel lonely otherwise. So bring these three adorable creatures as your trusty, affectionate and protective journey-companions!
A/N: let me know if you’d like me to expand into more headcanons/one-shots/a full work about your journey with these SCP babies!

Welcome to RtPokeMii!
Thank you to Kingabezka for the name
A bit more about some characters down below
Note:
Due to the limited number of main characters, in this region, there are 8 gym leaders but 4 are also Elite 4 members. The Story is not finished, things might be change. This is my headcanon of the characters but feel free to throw ideas at me somewhere if you want.
Jefferson and Gilbert are aged up for reason that we cannot send literally babies out into a world that has snails with a body temperature of the sun and balloons that want to kidnap you. For this Au their age is between 12-15
Jefferson: Protagonist
Starter is a Piplup he gets from IWD
Silent type
Speech muffled by scarf
Sometimes takes his scarf off to speak clearly but only towards people he trusts
Only Gilbert understands the scarf language
Enjoys traveling around with Gilbert
Gets nervous on his own in the wilderness
Really wanted a cannon once
No longer wants a cannon
Carries around a super soaker in case of emergency, mostly uses on Gilbert
Gilbert: Rival
Also already has an Houndor that may or may not have been stolen as an egg
Technically he found it on the side of a road when a shady looking truck dropped a crate of eggs. He just ran off with one before the driver could stop him
Very not silent type
Wants to be stronger and become champion to impress IWD
Very rebellious to many forms of authority
Got taken into custody once because he stole a cannon from a museum with a friend he claimed to of met while at Barackula’s
He’s banned from ever going to Barackula’s again but sometimes Jefferson secretly takes him along when IWD wants a package delivered there so he can see his friend
No one actually knows who this friend is tho. Gilbert never got their name
Tends to run off a lot to train
Professor IWD: Professor
researches ancient magic and curses
Can’t travel due to pain so he sends Gilbert and Jefferson to do some errands.
Close friends with Elite 4
Took in Gilbert when he found Gilbert in a trash can outside his house.
Also took in Jefferson a few days later after Gilbert insisted that they go to nearby town to find his friend
Not the best dad nowadays due to work and worsening pain
Because of that, he regularly sends the kids to End Mii or sometimes Cupcake if she’s not busy.
Used to send them to Barackula too but after the cannon incident, he’s a lot more reluctant to send Gilbert
Never told the kids what IWD stood for
Von Karma: Repeating Grunt
Literally just Jessie and James from the anime but all in one person
Has a Mr. Mime named Moe who is the stand in for Meowth. Can’t talk like him tho
Here just to be a menace to society
“Yes for you see Jefferson and Gilbert… IT WAS I WHO STOLE YOUR PRECIOUS PIKACHU!” “…. But, none of us have a pikachu?”
Doesn’t have much impact on the story side of things, other the fact that he’s always right around the corner… Somehow
“The Sage”: Current Champion
Not much known about The Sage, not even him true name or his past, so people have started calling him “The Sage” because of his outfit or just “The Champion”
Only confirmed information about him is that he has beaten the elite 4 and previous Champion, Khadgar, for championship
And that he has a Solrock and Ditto
A few weeks after becoming the new champion, two of the Elite 4 suddenly resigned and supposedly left the region along with the Champion after a few days
He immediately appoints Dread to one of the positions. A few weeks later, appoints Chat
People were suspicious as new elite 4 were normally chosen from existing gym leaders. No one knew who Dread and Chat were before getting appointed
Other than that mostly controversial decision, The Sage has been a relatively good Champion. He’s helped expand the region, started a program to introduce more Pokémon in certain areas, and opened multiple facilities for training Pokémon

hello! I saw your art for your space time au and I found it really interesting I wanted to ask about how the diamond clan is reacting to Melli missing and the gengar Is the gengar a past clan member or a Pokémon that Melli was friends with that got dragged along? I honestly really love your drawings!! I’m not the greatest at drawing but your drawings are so awesome!!^v^
Oh thank you so much for your kind words! I’m glad to hear that you’ve enjoyed my artwork!
To tell you the truth I’ve been thinking hard about how to answer this, as this is an active project I’ve been working on for months now, and both of the things you’ve asked about are relevant to the plot. I don’t want to reveal anything too prematurely haha
Again, I don’t want to spoil too much, but I can confirm that Gengar is not a past clan member, nor anyone that Melli knew before waking up in the future. Gengar’s identity is a complete mystery to him
As for the Diamond clans reaction to Melli’s disappearance, it is overwhelmingly a negative one. His disappearance will cause more problems then just concern for his immediate safety, and may even cause tension between the two clans as they try to understand the mystery of what happened to him on the day he disappeared
The “au” is still technically in its early stages, even though I suppose it would actually be more accurate to call it a sequel to the events that take place in PLA, set in my interpretation of the Pokémon universe with my own extended lore, and headcanons. I’ve written pages of character analysis, lore, and world building material to expand on the world, factions, and relationships presented in the original game, and I’m excited to share more of it soon
If you (or anyone else) has any more questions about the au, or if you’d like to hear any of my headcanons, or any of the lore related stuff I’ve been working on I’d be really happy to share
(I have to confess that almost every piece of art I’ve posted has been connected to the au, even if it’s not obvious or tagged as such. The mermaid au is a completely seperate project though)

Sometimes I wonder why Silver didn't just steal a Pokemon from Oak, I mean. Viridian is much closer to Pallet than it is to New Bark, y'know? A kid with no money can't just ride the Magnet train, that wasn't even built then. Stow away on the S.S Anne same night, it comes to Vermillion once a year and goes all over the world. Players can cut through Indigo Plateau through the left of Viridian or swim to Kanto off the coast of New Bark, but in an expanded world, it's not possible for an 8 y/o :(
(Continued.) It's awful to think of what this kid would've gone through after he was done running and crying and fell down on his knees in a random parking lot at night as he realized all the Rocket HQs were raided and his dad is gone, he has nowhere to go at night. Nowhere to go for the next three years. The HQ walls were cold, but outside its even colder. Being in Johto and afraid of all the new specifies of Mons? Bathroom, shower, food, storm shelter, medicine, how did he survive??
literally same i wonder about this ALL the fucking time. because you're so right the magnet train wasn't even built yet back then and the ss anne goes everywhere and really all that leaves is him somehow managing to stow away on the ss aqua or traveling there by foot with no pokémon across the border. like i know it's just pokémon and all but genuinely in-universe...how did this kid survive. maybe wild pokémon aren't actively trying to kill you like they are in legends arceus but they're still THERE they still jump out at you and actually yeah maybe some of them are still like that. it kind of delves into headcanons past the moment where he runs away from giovanni but i think his hatred of team rocket was so great that he didn't even want to journey in the same region where their influence and defeat still lingered. it's not like anybody expected them to hop over to johto and try more shit! and in gsc you can't access the upper levels of the kanto radio tower because they heard about what happened in goldenrod and upped their security—it isn't too far of a stretch to think that kanto as a region would've upped its security as well in the time following team rocket's dissolution. and given that in firered/leafgreen there IS a npc who talks about giovanni's red-haired son it also isn't a stretch to think that there might've been others in team rocket who knew of silver's existence and silver's a clever kid. clever enough to create a distraction before stealing his starter. i think on some level he would've been aware of this and decided that running away to another region (that wasn't in the middle of upping their security—and johto is pretty quiet in general in comparison to kanto) gave him a better chance at doing anything. including getting stronger as he wanted to of course.
but yes being homeless and having to worry about all that as a literal child for years is hard enough but factoring in that this is a world where there are beings capable of seriously injuring you as much as they're capable of being your friend and they roam free across the landscape...genuinely. how on earth did this kid survive
#stealing. being smart. having to grow up too quickly with a mindset instilled in him by those he was raised around#etc etc#asks

Headcanon: Pokémon canon seems to skirt around the idea of non-pokémon animals entirely, with a few references to regular animals early on, but ignored and retconned now. (Look at Raichu's pokédex entry in Legends Arceus, for example) The current canon and fanon seems to be that there are only pokémon.
But a roster of around a few hundred species, even with different stages that may occupy different niches, cannot fulfill a worldwide ecosystem's needs.
(e.g. How can Skorupi be a "scorpion pokémon" if there are no other scorpions to compare it to?)
Aside from upcoming generations which introduce new species or regional forms of existing ones, retconning and expanding the available creatures, I take the idea further.
All multicellar animals are pokémon and have types and moves and such, but only the ones we see in the games are the ones that are able to battle, due to size, stats, access to powers, lifespan, or general pugnaciousness. After all, what's the point of including an inch-long bug-flying moth pokémon that can only use Roost that has an effective base stat total of five in a game about battling? Or a water/steel plankton pokémon you can't even see with the naked eye? Something like Magikarp is the closest thing that skirts the line, having pitiful stats and no moves, but is included in games due to its rare ability to evolve into Gyarados and technically being able to take a few hits. The omnivores and carnivores have to eat something, after all, and predators generally prefer not to hunt something that can hurt them.
Headcanon: I am 100% behind this. *chefs kiss*
I recall it being the official stance that real-world animals have either never existed or have since gone extinct in-universe. I'm happy to believe the former (meaning that... humans are also pokémon?) which, in-line with your final paragraph, necessitates countless further species to actually help prop the ecosystem up.
I think the fact that real-world animal descriptors that are assigned to pokémon can easily be explained by it just being a linguistic quirk. I mean, the word snake is just a word, it has no actual biological relationship to the animal. Other languages have different words for them, and not everything that looks like a snake is, evolutionarily speaking, a snake. So I don't see it as inconsistent for, at some point historically, ekans and seviper to have both been considered to be "snakes" before someone came along and differentiated them.

🗻 : What type of journey is your character on? Are they tackling the Pokémon League, engaging in contests, on researching endeavors, a ranger scouting for danger? Or do they have a more ‘normal’ occupation? What type of life do they lead?
Their journey is ultimately one of finding information and sharing it with the world, while also concealing information that is better left unshared. Growing up, more than anything, they wanted to be famous and took efforts to try and conquer the Kanto gym challenge, though they stalled at Sabrina's team and never managed to finish the challenge.
(They have considered retaking it as an adult, or trying in other regions, but alas. They just haven't yet.)
As it is right now, they're traveling and documenting information about the people of different regions and their leaders and trying to basically make a record that people can view and study as well. They're an investigative journalist and working somewhat freelance at the moment! And their name is well-known in those circles, which fulfills at least one of their goals in life! The name Sato is pretty famous around the writing circles in Johto and Kanto (and expanding further outward.)
Ultimately, they live a life of fast paced movement and never really settling. They aren't ready to settle yet! But they will eventually when they feel they need to.
pkmn headcanon asks.
