the  eldest  son  of  the  previous  high  lord  danriel  aster,  it  was  never  a  question  on  what  cedrian’s  life  would  be  once  his  father  retired.

cedrian  was  engaged,  but  the  arrangement  fell  apart  when  he  met  the  woman  he  would  actually  go  to  marry  and  start  a  family  with.  his  father  wasn’t  pleased,  but  ultimately  wanted  his  son  to  be  happy.  not  too  long  after  the  union,  however,  his  father  passed.

when  danriel  died,  cedrian  was  fairly  distraught,  but  the  love  of  his  wife  ellena  carried  him  through  the  grief.  sadly,  tragedy  wasn’t  done  haunting  the  house  of  aster.  not  too  long  after  his  father  passed  the twins  were  born. it was a sad time to mourn, but they had babies to raise and so they did. next was cedrian's first son, however,  unlike  the  earlier  pregnancy,  this  one  was  hard,  but  the  babe  was  brought  into  the  world  with  love  and  cedrian  promising  to  the  mother  that  he  would  do  anything  to  see  his  wife  live.  ellena  wanted  another,  and  reluctantly  he  could  never  really  tell  her  no.

but  then  came  the  last  bundle  of  joy  to  be  born  to  cedrian  and  ellena.  ced’s  worst  fears  of  having  a  wife  and  children  came  true  and  the  beautiful  love  of  his  life  was  lost  the  same  day  his  darling  boy  was  born.  he  shut  off  his  heart  this  day,  refusing  to  fall  in  love  again.

it’s  been  a  few  decades  since,  but  cedrian  still  mourns  his  loses.  it  seemed  unfair,  losing  two  people  at  such  a  young  age  in  a  world  of  immortality.  he’s  still  a  very  good  high  lord  to  his  people,  pushing  aside  his  emotions  to  ensure  he’s  running  his  court  well.  cedrian  wants  the  day  court  to  be  the  most  powerful,  and  is  often  seeking  allies  and  friends.

a  cocky  bastard  true  and  true,  he’s  honestly  only  gotten  worse  since  the  death  of  his  wife.  before,  he  was  a  playboy  mess.  after  he’s  a  chaotic  man.  when  he  was  with  ellena  he  was  calmer,  happier,  and  tame.  she  was  the  balance  his  soul  needed.  without  her  he’s  only  spiraled  back  into  the  man  he  was  before.

cedrian  sleeps  around  a  lot,  but  he  does  try  to  keep  it  quiet.  

he’s  arrogant  and  he  knows  it.  but  have  you  seen  his  face?  he  gets  away  with  so  much  because  of  it,  but  he  can  charm  the  pants  off  a  goose,  which  he  also  unfortunately  knows.

he  likes  to  make  jokes,  he  likes  to  give  people  a  hard  time.  if  he  dislikes  you  he  also  won’t  waste  an  opportunity  to  point  out  your  misgivings.

his  only  soft  side  is  with  his  family,  he  would  do  anything  for  those  of  his  house  and  he’s  fiercely  protective  them.  insulting  them  is  the  surest  way  to  see  the  side  of  ced  he  sincerely  tries  to  keep  hidden.  he  has  a  temper,  and  only  in  his  mid  twenties/two  hundreds  did  he  calm  that  brazen  anger  he’d  held  so  strongly  onto.

he  likes  to  spar,  and  he  likes  weapons.  he’d  make  an  amazing  warrior  if  he  wasn’t  so  busy  being  a  high  lord.  sparring  and  sex  are  his  outlets,  though,  and  he  is  certainly  a  hot  mess  express.
