If you didn’t think Batman was going to get better, you wouldn’t have allowed Tim to become Robin no matter what. You'd reluctantly give Bruce a B- in parenting. He's not perfect but he's trying which is enough that you're willing to help.

You, through gritted teeth: I know and believe you can be good but this is rotten work, especially to me, especially if it's you, but I'll do it.

Your persona as Robin is carefully curated so that you are almost exactly like Tim. It’ll get annoying if people get confused about there being two different Robins running around at the same time so it’s easier if you just pretend to be the same person. You fill in enough times that putting on the Robin uniform automatically makes you slip into “Tim-Robin” mode which freaks a lot of people out at how uncanny it is.

You can perfectly imitate Tim's voice.

Despite your efforts pretending to be as similar to Tim as possible, it’s not totally perfect, obviously. You’re- a bit scary actually. You make the right quips, make the same distractions and appear to be exactly the same as “normal Robin” but it’s just… something is a little bit off. You’re always watching. Maybe you’re just the Robin that takes after Batman’s demeanor the most.

Part of what adds to the whole “hmm something is up with Robin 3” is that sometimes people will be like “I definitely saw Robin break his arm yesterday so how tf is he okay and patrolling today???”

Tim is still a better detective than you are but you’re no slouch either. You did not squint at gritty photos of crime scenes from three different newspapers and reconstruct doll house versions of them with dollar store craft supplies so you could teach 9-year old Tim how to analyze crime scenes just to become a “mediocre detective”.

During the early Robin 3 days, Batman used to accidentally call you and Tim, Jason. He’s also called you Tim on several occasions.

You take the Robin role during Batman’s “bad days” early on in Tim’s run as Robin because you’re able to handle to worst of it. Batman is… relentless, cold, terribly uncooperative on those days. He didn’t want another Robin and you’re well aware of how he lashes out at the two of you because of it. You don’t want Tim to go through the worst of Batman when being Robin is supposed to be something good. What are you meant to do if not protect him?

Wrangling Batman is difficult. You spend way too much time pulling him aside to say “You need to pull back on your punches. If you land them in the ICU again I will be ending this patrol early.” Although just having a Robin beside him makes things better, it doesn’t mean it’s great by any means. Depending on how much he pissed you off, you enact various punishments upon him such as making all his coffee decaf, helping Alfred make his least favourite foods, shutting down the batcomputer so he can’t work on cases and so on.

Overtime, as Batman gets better, you fill in less often. It's also because around this time you get very busy running Drake Industries.

You get on Commissioner Gordon’s case about how many cigarettes he’s smoking. All these Robins and you're the first to look so disappointed in him.

You have gone on patrol several times and no one noticed it was you and not Tim. It’s funnier not to correct them until you de-mask at the end of the night and reveal that it was you all along.

Sometimes you and Tim just swap in the middle of the night.

At the top of a lot of contingencies, there’s a note that just says “if (Y/n) inexplicably has an answer or solution, believe them and follow what they say”

-The reason Jotaro was so uncharacteristically freaked out is simple: Boy was overstimulated after the bite! With the adrenaline probably spending up how fast the vampire venom took his system, Jotaro’s five senses got boosted way too quickly. And after coming out of the worst fight of his life and suddenly being able to hear half of Cairo, everything hurts 5x times worse and the smell of blood is just so sharp… No wonder Jotaro’s brain hit the panic button.

Basically to summarize this point:

DIO, after sipping the Joestar Kool aid: THIS IS THE GREATEST HIGH!

Jotaro, after smoking the vampire weed: This is the worst trip of my life…

-Speaking of the initial bite, it probably stays super tender. Not in an major injury sort of way, but a ‘this is a baby vampire, whack here to scruff like a kitten’ sort of way.

-I can just imagine Avdol and Kakyoin sacrificing their coats to protect Jotaro from the sun until the SW Foundation comes swooping in. Wrap the giant boy like a burrito. Also has the bonus calming effect of smelling like friends!

-God I want Jotaro to be able to spider-climb. Purely for the angsty scene of the biggest teenager in the world trying very hard to hide himself away in a ceiling corner where people cannot touch him and either doctors or Joseph trying their best to get the kid off the ceiling.

I will be keeping an eye on this AU and I can’t wait to see where you go with it!

notes - okay funny story. I've been reading Interview with the Vampire and DIO is literally just Lestat. They are my two gay vampire icons, so thank you for this request anon!! It's a super mini fic, but know that this made me smile and giggle because my blonde vampires are my everything. Also, I didn't specify gender, so you can read it however! word count - 211

"What is it?" You heard DIO's deep voice say from the other side of the room. "I can tell you want to ask me something."

You stiffened, blushing. "It's nothing." you said quietly.

DIO just laughed at you, his deep chuckle echoing in the small room. "Just tell me, I won't bite."

You knew that wasn't true. If anything, that's the first thing he would do.

"Really, DIO, it's nothing."

You looked into the darkness and saw his pale figure sit up on his bed, his long finger signaling for you to come closer.

Like your legs had a mind of their own, you started walking towards him until you got to the edge of the bed where he sat. He grabbed your chin and brought your face down to his level, smiling at you.

You looked down at his lap and blushed. God, it sounded stupid, you didn't even want to think about asking.

hello! ur posts on the vagus nerve and its connections to digestions have encouraged me to do a lil mini dissertation thingy kinda focused on it/around it, ur big thread on PVT and everything really piqued my interest when i read it and i just held onto it for like a year or smthing until like last week when i started the project. Hello! I’m sorry this reply is coming so late, this ask in particular is very sweet and has stuck out to me.

I’m really happy to have introduced you to PVT, this is something I’ve heard from a few different people on here and it’s very sweet… I did my thesis on it in college and the time really flew by while working on it, things you don't think could possibly attributed to "nerve issues" being nerve issues is always an eye-opener, isn't it? being able to research things that interest you & access information in general really is a privilege in this day and age.

“The topics [I] portray” are very important to me, so it’s heartening when others take interest in spite of the obvious deterrents. A lot of what I love making art about is unpalatable to most, and while I do understand the reasons for that on principle, it can make things feel a little insular. I genuinely believe there’s a lot of value in depicting tableaus of misery.

The last year has brought a lot of very unforeseen changes, and my life is quite different from when I initially made this blog to post about him! That’s also part of why I’ve been so sparse here…though I’m working to change that quite soon. I love sharing my work, and I’ve had the privilege of meeting some truly wonderful people through this website. That said…with where I’m at now, I’m not sure I’ll be posting the Dirk essay anytime soon, I’m afraid.

I’ve undertaken a few ongoing projects, one of which in particular is an original project I plan on sharing publicly here hopefully within the next month or so. I hope it’s something you & anyone else who’s stuck around with me here will enjoy, but failing that, I’ve really enjoyed working on it thus far.

I am going to be frank, this man would most likely post the most unhinged innuendos imaginable.

In between freakyposting, though, he'd probably reblog/post old love poems and classic literature quotes he feels pertain to our selfship.

I imagine he'd even have/post some ship art, but like actual paintings and portraits, not just paper and pen drawings, though I imagine he'd have beautiful handmade sketches as well.

Since he ends up obsessing over his goals and whatnot in canon, he'd probably bring that same energy to the selfship and be just as ~toxic~ about it as he is about everything else. I obviously don't approve of being aggressive towards other shippers, but he totally would be. Best just block his blog, tbh.

2: Anything that you'd like to write but feel like you're unable to?

There's a Clark Kent & Smallville character study that HAUNTS me. basically it's an examination of Clark's feelings about his hometown and the people in it from childhood through high school through college all the way into moving to Metropolis and becoming Superman. And mostly it's an examination of how those feelings grow and change and are a complicated mess because he loves Smallville, of course he does, it's home, but also it's so painful and suffocating at the same time. it's about the experience of growing up different in a small town, in a place that hates that, but you don't outwardly "look/act" different enough to be noticed for that so you get to hear everyone's unfiltered opinions about how much they hate people like you. so you double down on desperately hiding all of the "big" things that are different about you as much as possible but there's still enough "little" things different about you that people pick up on and go after you for. Basically, a lot of my experiences growing up queer in a small town.

But I will likely never finish it, much less publish it, because of the mortifying ordeal of being known.

10: Top three favourite fic tropes.

POV Outsider. I love it so much. the perspective of a person who's outside/unaware of the character's world and its usual nonsense looking in on it with none of that knowledge. What do they see? How does this character/group/world come across? it is SO FUN both to write and to read.

Hurt/Comfort. Love seeing characters being hurt and then being cared for.

Time Travel. I love seeing characters with knowledge of the future end up in their past and try to figure out how and where to do things to change their path. I also love people from the past getting booted into the future to see where they could end up. It's very fun.

11: Three tropes that are fine but overrated.

enemies to lovers. It's fine, I enjoy it sometimes, but I much more prefer friends to lovers. and it's a trope that's pretty easy to mess up as well

"what if this good character was secretly/actually evil". can be an interesting exploration of the character but. I prefer kind characters.

"this character is now a member of this different group". in theory, it's interesting and I don't hate the concept. in practice . . . meh. yes, this is about the making jedi into mandalorians fics.

Quiero decirte, que tengo un vacío enorme desde que eliminaste “¿Quién es el titiritero ahora?” y déjame decirte que me dejó un vacío increíble y no hay ni un día en el que no piense en ese fic jajdjksjaja. Yo solo quisiera saber si algún día, quizá en unos diez años 💔, des algún tipo de información sobre el fic porque de verdad me pegó una marcada increíble. Sé que te debe dar cringe volver a recordar todo lo que escribiste pero a mi me encantaba (y me sigue encantando lo poco que recuerdo de la trama) ese fic con todo y cringe.

Solo quiero saber si algún día, nosotros tus viejos lectores llegaremos a leer otra vez tremendo fanfic. Imagínate, ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que lo eliminaste y aún tengo ganas de saber qué pasa con Kendall y Guss. Yo de verdad lo leería una y otra y otra y otra vez, y no solamente leerlo, sino también ver los re diseños del resto de personajes, porque claro, tus dibujos son el toque de todo y por eso también extraño mucho ese viejo fic!!

No sé si llegue a re hacer el fanfic, porque ni siquiera ahora estoy segura de cómo lo haría o su dirección, más que nada porque el concepto de los personajes ha cambiado muchísimo y junto con ellos su historia. Lo que sí, tenía pensado en algún momento re dibujarlos y subir la ficha de personaje con sus nuevos datos e historia.

En cuanto al viejo fanfic... No lo puedo re subir por lo que ya mencionaste, sin embargo todavía lo guardo en drive (nostalgia, jiji) y podría dejar el acceso para quien quiera leerlo :DD? No me molestaría, al fin y al cabo todos saben que son cosas viejas(?)

Me hace feliz ver que aún con el tiempo que ha pasado siguen recordando con cariño a esos personajes y su historia, a pesar de que no fue muy buena ni para su tiempo.
