Fun fact!

Red has a portrait in the Painter's hall in the Dagon palace as a human and as an ottsel. The portraits are also next to each other.

[Trip to Flora]

"As the pair made their way through the numerous halls of the Flora palace, wandering eyes could not help but stare. From the members of the court to war chiefs, all confused about two things; why was Evelyn back only now after very sudden disappearance and who was the stranger walking by her side."

I did some lore stuff- I actually had to somewhat remake Jak's outfit because he needed to fit in. If the people of Flora learned that he came from the surface, everyone would absolutely panic.

This is still ship stuff which is why Daxter nor Red aren't there. I do wanna draw more of Flora's map and key places so I will include them later though.

There will always be room to improve but I gotta say, I am PROUD of my progress when it comes to my art, even if it looks weird sometimes

A LOT has been happening so I sadly had to take quite the hiatus. Luckily, everything is slowly going back to normal which means I can start posting again

I have been working a lot mentally on said hiatus. I am remaking my Jak and Daxter AU FULLY

Old posts about Buried Kingdoms will stay up as it's still part of my artistic progress

It will be renamed to False Prophets and will follow Evelyn through her journey to regain her mind after being brainwashed all her life by a cult. Flora will now be said cult (Floridian cult) while Crystalis will be it's opposing force. The story takes place during a war which Evelyn avoided by being sent away to get supplies in Haven City (where she would eventually get settled in)

It's a huge work in progress but I do have some designs down for Evelyn and some storyline guides down which I will maybe reveal in due time

#1 -> Jak 2 Evelyn (upper right corner):

• 16

• Heavily spiritual (manipulated into it)

• Wears body paint all the time (no tattoos at this time)

• Healer

• Rarely uses her green eco abilities

• Kind of a hermit, only comes out when healers are needed

• Relationship status -> iffy, ongoing semi friendship with the overall crew, especially attached to Jak and Tess

#2 -> Jak 3 Evelyn (upper left corner):

• 17

• Rejects any spirituality aspect of her origins after living away from Flora for so long

• Does not wear body paint anymore

• Healer and self-proclaimed explosives expert

• Uses her green eco abilities a lot more / makes healing easier

• Got tattoos (weirdly glow when she uses her abilities)

• Wears less revealing outfits due to her working with explosives and weapons / rarely wear her bodysuit without leggings underneath

• Relationship status -> Over all on good terms with everyone, more outgoing and friendly but takes everything more seriously. A little less attached to Jak at the beginning of the events of Jak 3 after them falling out, re-kindle their friendship and start becoming a little more towards the end

#3 Jak X Evelyn (lower right corner):

• 18

• Classic Evelyn design

• A lot more mature but also somewhat laidback

• Not that good of a racer but can manage it without dying

• Still a healer and an explosives' expert

• Developped a burning need for revenge towards Flora / Wishes to destroy the cult completely and end the Crystalis / Flora war

• Would eventually go to Crystalis City to settle down after Flora's defeat and after the events of Jak X

• Relationship status -> Extremely close to Jak (implied that there is something more than friendship happening between them / they do not want to admit it), somewhat close to Daxter, Tess is still her best friend and she is a lot closer to everyone in general

#4 Ari Jak 2 through X

• 20 - 23

• Evelyn's older sister

• Has similar green eco abilities but does not use them at all / represses them instead

• Ran away from Flora at 18 and lives in Crystalis City since

• Constantly keeps in contact with her sister

• Only got to see Evelyn again during the events of Jak 3, where she gave her tattoos as a sign of pride and protest against the Floridian cult

• Race champion in Crystalis City

• Relationship status -> Evelyn's friends are her friends (as she says), sees Jak as competition / tolerates him but does not like him

"According to Red, I'd have to ditch my people's traditional face paint. Apparently, the paint doesn't adhere well to ottsel fur ahah!

I do think I'd look pretty cute though!"

I needed to update her ref sheet a whilw ago but I decided to keep it simple

She no longer has the green glowing leaf emblem on her coat since I changed them into tattoos. I did keep the one piece suit with the opened outer thigh sections though because I really like it. I also re-added the gloves.

Honestly, I've been indulging into her a lot since it just makes me happy. I almost want to pull a "highschool bunsu" and go into oc / canon shipping territories but she has such a big personality, I have no clue who she'd even match with without constantly fighting 😩

Lore dump time!

After Evelyn's forced departure from Haven City, she discovered her birth land in shambles. The oh so secret and precious underground city of Flora, now torn by a civil war caused by the sudden passing of it's ill king, reeked of death. With no other choice, Evelyn took over the throne as her father would've wanted, joining the war. She would play a huge part into calming the hostility of her people in the following year. If only they knew she was the one responsable of planting and blowing up massive bombs under her war general's orders, not knowing better, killing many in the process.

The girl would live the rest of her days with a guilty conscience, that was for sure.

Red's voice echoed in their safehouse. Evelyn sighed heavily. Red had been talking, well, screaming her ears out since she had caught herself and Jak during their last "encounter".

"Red, I think you hate him more than I do... You're like that with pretty much everyone and anyone aside from Tess-"

The ottsel simply rolled their eyes before starting to scold the girl.

It was going to be a looooong night.
