"Suspicious?" Kabaiel echoed, one hand on his chest, looking and sounding considerably more scandalized than he actually felt (and, he suspected, probably not fooling Azi).

"Let me remind you that I am an angel. Inherently un-suspicious, us angels. Why would you even suggest such a thing?"

Tone and body language aside, there was a gleam in his eye that betrayed just how seriously he was taking the situation. Which was to say, not seriously at all.

Asmodeus needn't have announced his arrival anyway; Kabaiel knew the moment the demon's hand had grasped the handle on the shop door. It was all he could do to keep his giddy smile in check.

There were a great many things to be grateful for, what with the world still turning and intact. Humanity was spared, life would continue on now. Kabaiel, however, was most happy about the shift in his and Asmodeus's friendship. With no sides looming over them, they were free to do as they wished, spend time together without hiding or any pretense of the Arrangement. He did wonder vaguely if it was wrong of him to be happier about getting to enjoy a demon's company than he was about the world not being destroyed.

But then again, he figured he'd never been an exemplary angel to begin with.

"Asi!" the angel beamed, wiping his hands on his clothes as he stood up. "You should have called, I'd have gotten ready sooner."

Another day, another excuse to get the angel away from his rainforest in a concrete jungle. Asmodeus had secured himself an invitation to a restaurant opening in Mayfair with a plus one. It was interesting how many new places were opening in the new world. It was as though everybody approached the world anew, he and the angel too. They were spending a lot more time together, and the demon was perfectly alright with that.

He hadn't bothered really announcing his presence, instead strolling into the greenhouse Kabaiel was working diligently in, with his usual bravado. He had sported a fetching royal blue three-piece suit with red accents, brown leather belt and shoes - he called it smart casual, but those looking at him would see a particularly sharply dressed man.

"Kabaiel, my dear boy - wash your hands and get a decent suit on. We have an appointment in Mayfair in two hours for canapes and a decadent amount of Dom Perignon."

OH MAN..... GODS OKAY well this is about to become me gushing about my friends, but i think everyone and their mother should be reading @raichett, @droidofmay, @good-chimes, @sillyfairygarden, @sisyphean-writes, @renardroi's writing. Like holy shit i know some incredible authors. Grim in particular went and fully changed my brain chemistry with his fic Total Apogee of the Heart, which i do believe i described to him as "like reading an oil painting," and "like you've taken an axe to my chest and deftly split it down the middle to show me the inner workings of my heart," which is truly the palest of terms i can use to describe something that ended up feeling so soul-shocking to me /pos. The skillful way he twists words to layer these rich, saturated themes into his stories makes me INSAAAAAAANE, its pretty much the epitome of how i want to write when it comes to thematic elements and imbuing my narratives with symbolism. I genuinely dont know how to describe it, but the way he crafts sentences and weaves in references to other media is like reading a fairytale, and it leaves me feeling like ive just resurfaced from a dream every time.

And, ofc, my very good and dear friend Raichett with their ACP-verse-- oh my gods what an incredible read. Reincarnation fic with modern minecraft worldbuilding FUCKING SIGN ME UP..... i think this might be my favorite fic in the fandom because truly you can just feel the heart-wrench of how long Grian has been waiting, of all those words left unsaid during his and Scar's initial conversation that we the reader happen to be privy to. AND THE SEQUEL!!! THEE SEQUELLLLL THE ONGOING SEQUEL RAAAAAAAHH okay im normal im normal im normal <- lying. It just manages to hit every fucking trope i love all at once so i start frothing at the mouth whenever it gets updated or they send me snippets. I could read Raichett's writing for hours and hours and just feel so warm within it, truly beautiful prose and characterization :]

And ohhhh Sisyphean my beloved..... if you havent been reading their anonymous scarian fic series then please please do so, especially Bread and Butterflies, a fic they gifted me that made me simultaneously want to cry and also curl up into for the rest of my life. Something about the atmosphere in their fics, along with the juxtaposition of their unique form of humor, really just knocks it out of the park for me. And, of course, the gut-wrenching wing scene-- trust me, you need to read this fic. The reveal is so incredibly well done that it feels like a gauze being lifted from your eyes so you can finally see more than the lurking silhouette of what's been hinted at. Beautiful fic and evocative writing, i dont feel like i can do it justice you're just gonna have to go read it for yourself >:]

Sorry i told you this was gonna be me gushing so i am going to gush can we talk about Droid's fucking fics please. Can we talk about those. I've always been captivated by their writing, worldbuilding, and the way they so deftly weave implications into their prose to present a fic that feels so neatly-woven it practically breathes. Every work i've ever read from them, regardless of fandom, is some of the most engaging writing ive ever read before. Not to promo a fic inspired by hunger au, but im especially enamoured with their gift will the curse be reversed if you say it backwards. Reading that was like getting kicked in the chest a billion times until it ached, and the way they portrayed the two Grian's dynamics brought me perilously close to tears multiple times while reading, which is admittedly very hard to do. Also i think reading that fic is the closest ive ever gotten to what yall experience whenever i upload a new hunger au chapter-- i stg the dread i felt as the fic progressed had me HOLLERING in their dms like "IS THIS WHAT THATS LIKE. OH MY GODS" truly just a phenomenal fic all around

Thello, oh Thello, my beloved friend, her fic you are here to risk your heart had ME heartbroken in the best of ways when i first read it, and every reread since has only solidified it as a stunning cross-section into 3L!scarian's dynamic. Thello's writing in general is always so deeply elegant and refined-- reading it feels a lot like shoving the world's richest, gooiest, most delicately-layered cake into my mouth to melt on my tongue. She just gets intimacy in a way i rarely see done, highlighting the fragile way people can come together while straining to stay apart. Her writing is so deeply, utterly human in the details she chooses to focus on, and that level of groundedness paired with her fantastical prose makes me feel like what im reading is both very real and also the whisps of a beautiful, colourful dream.

And, last but very much not least, my wonderful friend Telk. Telk's writing is so utterly unique, bursting at the seams with both humor and a quiet rawness that punches me right in the ribs every single fucking time. They're also so deeply, insanely skilled at being able to say so so much in a story while dancing around the actual core of it, drawing you into understanding whats really going on below the surface like an event horizon. Their fic A Certain Je Ne Sais What is, in my mind, a particularly good example of the subtle and skillful way they weave implications into their work-- im perpetually in awe of how meticulously they poured Grian's cognitive dissonance between how he really feels about Scar, and how he wants to feel about Scar, into the narrative. That, and their characterization is genuinely flawless, im not sure ive ever read better character voices that capture the inherent humor of their owners than in Telk's writing.

Gods i have so much more to say about so many more of my friends and their fics but i'll stop here otherwise i will never shut up. Local guy loves his friends so fucking much i will shout it to the sky any chance i can take<3

Heres two collections of characters .

housecats who ive detailed plenty recently. the perfect person/pp, xerox, catch 22, and amaryllis/no signal. they are (sans amaryllis) fiction aware interdimensional creatures. the perfect person is the hand of god (me as a writer) torturing and assisting fictional creatures, xerox serves to clean up forgotten and abandoned stories lest they become overrun by nightmares and void, catch 22 is the nightmares and void, and amaryllis is pps normal child.

pp's a righteous bitch, extremely erratic and constantly experiencing back and forth. to have personality while also being explicitly and only a tool for someone who enjoys hurt/comfort is existentially hellish; it cannot allow for any personal connection because it will inevitably be torn apart for some writer sanctioned angst. its also only able to do what writers are capable of and so could easily be written stripped of its powers and lives knowing it has to serve or be trashed (which it had been for a year until recently and is still recovering). xerox is nice and sweet, despite regularly killing people and fighting monsters and the other housecats being very mean to him. he wishes everyone had the clarity to enjoy their time on screen and submit gracefully when the curtains close as an inevitability. catch 22 is just miserable and wants to see everything end (as it cannot) so seeks to permanently ruin any story it could. it personally despises pp for reasons i actually cannot remember. something about stealing its partner before it turned into a creepy void centaur? amaryllis is pretty normal, half mortal and ignorant to the larger problems around it really. in canon verse its been kidnapped by catch 22 in the hopes of hurting pp or inspiring it to try and rescue it but pp actually doesnt really care so amaryllis has been left abandoned to rot away in the void. i like to think about what i call "normalverse" aus where that didnt happen and it grows up relatively normal. i think it has a very .. heady personality

heres characters for fibs story which im in the process of rewriting. i originally made it in 2019 and dropped it for 2-3 years and am only now picking it back up so theres a lot of reworking i need to do and explanation is mostly going to be recollection. its about a dog named fib (first guy), he used to be prince lye of the laurel kingdom before labyrinth (second guy), a malicious magical entity, teamed up with another canine to usurp his parents and tossed fib in a magical prison for a decade or so, where fib slowly goes mad. the usurper has since died and so fib has been released, but the magic of his binding has leaked into him and he is now cursed so that he cannot tell the truth, instead automatically saying lies which then warp reality into whatever he had stated. still he is the only one who can take title of king and now struggles to maintain control of his kingdom. he now goes on an adventure to try and track down labyrinth to reverse his curse, learning lessons along the way about self reflection, different nonverbal ways of communication, boundaries and expectations in relationships he has with others, and generally coping with immense trauma. cricket (third guy) hunts fib down during his journey; when fib was a normal boy, so was cricket, and they were young best friends before lye was imprisoned. with no clarity on the situation as someone new takes over the throne, cricket assumes that lye had simply ran away, abandoning the kingdom for worse as the new king subjected the kingdom to needless war, drafting the young cricket who dies on the battle field and resurrects through his rage, digging himself out of his mass grave and now seeking to kill fib. lie (fourth guy) is like totally nothing i just wanted to put him up there LOL hes some sort of spooky doll magical creature who seeks to manipulate fib by feigning kinship, for profit i guess

Part 3! probably the lowest effort one yet. Now please let me go on a side tangent here, i just gotta get some thoughts off my chest and a reason for the so-so quality. I will talk abou this part and the AU ofc, i just gotta talk about me for abit, even if i talk to the void i want to get it out there.

I do consider parts 1 & 2 kinda low effort on my part and it most certianly frustrated me then BUT i have grown to accept it. I am burnt out! To give context: all my previous Sonic anything before the event began was for a School project!

We were quite free to do basicly what we wanted and i manged to make mine about Sonic under the guise of learning 3D. I started last September and have been just going at it almost nonstop since. Yes i had a few breaks ofc but nevertheless i was very burnt out by the time That project was done.

So for me personally, The Ubb, personally this event was (for me personally) abit ill-timed personally for me, The Ubb. The idea of Nine traveling the Multiverse was something i had wanted to get around to eventually so when this Event was announced i obviously wanted to participate, it felt like the stars had aligned! sort of.

Thing is becouse of the nonstop work i was already supremely burnt out before the event even started so not great for me personally. I planned that i would just do a Me thing between the 2 Projects, something not related to either. A short little break yea? that was What updating my Sally Acorn design was going to be but we know how that went.

The Result is wonderful, yes, it is one my proudest designs, came out great. BUT she was one of the thoughest challenges ive had so far. More context: it usually takes me like 2-3 days to make a Character design but Sal here took me 2 weeks. 2 weeks.

The result is wonderful but it was not the break i had envisioned. And the timelimit for the event was ticking down, i had lost about half of it by now. Like i said Nine traversing the Multiverse is something ive wanted to do for awhile and with DonelyWell making it uncertain wether or not the Event might return or not it truly felt like a now or never kinda situation, so despite my burnt-out-nes and lack of a proper break i pushed on.

And that is why the quality has been kinda so-so so far, due to burn out my heart hasnt been truly in it.

I will try to push out part 4 this coming week and you should expect it to be of this same quality you have seen thus far BUT after that i am postponing Part 5. I had originally planned to hopefully have it out before the end of august but with the current state of my mental health that is no longer feasable. After part 4 I Will take a break for maybe 1 or 2 weeks to just not work in order to get my mental situation sorted.

Sal proved that a working vacation was not a good solution.

But after the break i will get to work on Part 5 where i will put all the cards on the table. I have decided to put in that extra effort that has been lacking in Parts 1-3 (and probably 4) in order to make up for my sub-par performance thus far, another reason for the break. I cannot say how long it will be between parts 4 and 5, perhaps a whole month or even 2, idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ we shall see

It will be out before the year ends tho, of that i am certain. Current plan is 3-4 big pictures for Part 5 and just a butt-ton of characters. This is to keep me happy as i do not particularly enjoy enviornments but character design is my passion.

The way i work with making the AU designs is reverse engenering my Mainline designs. That way it wont be a complete radio silence from me, The Ubb, but i am saving all my AU designs for Part 5.

But speaking of how i work lets segway back to part 3 yea?

For part 3 here i wanted to introduce this AUs Shadow! This AU is my take on an Anti-Verse AU as i call it, where Bad guys be good guys and good guys be bad guys! IDK if it has an actual Name or some such.

This AUs Shadow is alot more silly looking which is 100% intentional. In this Anti-Verse AU this guy here did not end up nearly as traumatized as Mainline Shadow, main thing being Maria do be alive in this AU! I sadly dont have a design for her yet, will in Part 5 tho.

Also if you do recall; for this AUs Eggy i Changed his name to Ovi Kintobor, i did a name change for some other characters aswell. One of them being Anti-Shadow here, or i suppose i should call him... Terios! cuz thats what i named him yo

I know that Name is attached to prototype Shadow and a design that is quite different from what you see here BUT thing is i have no plans to use Terios in my Take on Mainline Sonk and the Name is simply too cool to not use at all and with me already changing some names in this AU i figiured why not!

Now to talk abit about what he be looking like, firstly the Gun.

I decided to give my Take on Shadow a Gun cuz is neat. I enjoy the idea of Shadow using a gun but do agree that he doesnt really need one, he has Chaos Spears rember? They already cover ranged attacks. The gun needs to fill a gap in his already vast moveset, cover a blind spot so to speak, in order to deserve its inclusion.

So a-thinkin i went!

And then it hit me; the idea to have it function like an extension of his Chaos Spears! Therefore the small canister looking thingy with Chaos Energy on both guns

For Mainline Shadow i decided to have his Gun solve the accuracy problem. Im sure Shadow can Throw his spears real good but what about really long distances? A fancy gun would solve that i think! have it shoot chaos energy powered by Shadow himself, With it being energy based and meant to solve accuracy have it have like next to no drop off yknow? Like a Pistol sized Sniper!

For Terios i wanted to aproach it from a different angle, if not accuracy what else could a gun do for Shadow that his Chaos Spears cannot do on their own?

Well what about speed? Sure Shadow can probably chuck out his Spears quite quickly but there is most certianly a limit. I am sure a gun has a faster firerate than a throwing arm, just sayin.

And with my desire to Make Terios look abit sillier than Shadow i went for a very smooth, round and almost SMG looking shape clearly influenzed quite heavily by certain Tediore Pistols from Borderlands 3.

Next lets talk about the obvios.

I am very happy and proud of my Shadow design, he came out great, Less so for Terry here. You can clearly see i barely changed much, this is mostly due to me not really knowing what direction i wanted to go in at first and then a desire to move on once it was good enough.

But I Did some thinkin! With All three (Terios, Maria Kintobor and Gerald Kintobor) surviving the G.U.N raid of the ARK and thus Terios not being nearly as traumatized as Shadow i wanted to delve abit into the fact that Shadow should be around Sonic's age; in other words a teenager or at most a young adult.

Shadow never got a real chance for a proper childhood and getting to be a proper Kid but for this Anti-Verse i wanted to perhaps explore that abit more. What if Shadow's Story wasnt as dark? What if he got some proper time to be a Kid? Not forced to grow up quickly? Maria didnt die in the raid? Gerald wasnt executed by firing squad?

Thus for Terios i want to go into a more Silly direction cuz Terios just all-round had a better time than Shadow. Wasnt all perfect with sunshine and roses ofc but still better than Shadow. Terios gets be as happy and free like Mainline Sonk!

So when i decide to revisit Terios in the future i kinda want to go in a kinda Silly Super Hero Costume direction. I could go into further detail but i feel i have talked enough for now, see you this coming week with part 4! It will introduce this AUs Sonic, Tails and Metal Sonic, see you then!

No no no no no no! He couldn't let him just leave, if he left Crowley doubted he'd be able to track him down again. If they were separated now, that was it. Everything was lost. The earth, humanity, Aziraphale himself...it would all be gone.

Crowley wasn't ready to just roll over and die (possibly literally) just yet. One way or another, he had to stay with him. Ideally as partners---but he'd settle for prisoner. Moving quickly, he cut Aziraphale off, putting himself between the archangel and the door, hands still raised to indicate that he wasn't trying to fight.

"Wait. Take me with you. I can help."

"Look, you can even---" the demon pressed his wrists together and extended his arms, ready for the supreme archangel to miracle up bonds of some sort up, should he so wish. His tongue darted out nervously; speaking candidly was never easy for Crowley, but there was too much on the line to let his pride take the wheel.

"On some level, angel, I know that there's some part of you that remembers---us. Somewhere inside, you know I'd do anything for you."

bitching an alpha (in our verse, anyway) is a process alphas can go through to start showing more typically omega traits: their scent starts to change, shifting from the typically alpha musk to the sweeter omega scent; if they have the right parts, they'll start to produce slick; their knot will shrink. its kinda like hrt, but the effects are reversible. it's another version of gender expression, basically!

a bitched alpha is still an alpha, but like.. a little to the left. an alpha getting fucked by an omega, and holding omega cum inside them starts the bitching process.

ATO is alpha to omega! like how we have FTM and MTF here, omegaverse has alpha to omega, and omega to alpha for anyone that is transdynamic

He could feel the Metatron's eyes boring into his back as he walked, and it was doing nothing for his nerves. She obtains the Unsullied army in Astapor who fight for her as free men. With the Unsullied, she frees slaves from Astapor, Yunkai, and Meereen. In Yunkai, Daenerys obtains the sell swords known as the Second Sons.

She serves as the queen of Meereen, trying to control the revolution by the Sons of the Harpy, former masters in opposition to Daenerys’ rule.

Daenerys gains a new khalasar after walking out of the fire in the capital city of Vaes Dothrak, burning the former khals inside.

Daenerys sails across the narrow sea with the Unsullied army and a khalasar, having named all who follow her a bloodrider.

Daenerys wins the Iron Throne ( canon divergent) and rules as a just queen over the Seven Kingdoms.

Robert's Rebellion is suppressed and the Targaryens continue to rule over the Seven Kingdoms. After the murder of Daenerys' father, her brother Rhaegar Targaryen is crowned the as the new king.

Daenerys' mother dies giving birth to her on Dragonstone, leavning Daenerys to grow up in the Red Keep as a princess under the care of her two older brothers.

With the rise of Robert Baratheon to the Iron Throne, Viserys and Daenerys are spared, stripped of their names, and given to Ned Stark after his insistence that the children should not be killed. Wearing the bastard name Waters, the former dragons are made wards of House Stark ( Note: the Starks are the default for this verse, but this house is liable to change depending on my partner ).

Daenerys Waters grows up alongside the Stark children, her brother whispering stories of dragonfire and treachery to her in the night, ensuring her time and time again that they would reclaim all that was taken from them. Dragon banners hid inside the homes of the common-folk, as they awaited their true king’s return.

After Mirri Maz Duur killed her husband and child, Daenerys becomes desperate to reverse the effects of the curse and she seeks additional knowledge about the blood magic that the witch had used against her. She reads about chants and curses, about Old Valyrian magic, and even as she learns more about the higher mysteries, she never anticipates using it but to bear a living child.

While in Qarth, she discovers that her magic, and that of sorcerers around her, is strongest in the presence of her dragons. She knew then, though she would not admit it, that she must learn all she can of their magic lest someone uses it against her.

Daenerys gravitates towards curses and enchantments cast using fire and blood.

Daenerys loses control of Drogon, and it is he who burns down King's Landing.

King’s Landing is not restored.  The ruins become a favorite nesting spot for Drogon and he often is seen circling its skies.

Daenerys marries Gendry Baratheon as she legitimized him before burning down King’s Landing. She rules Westeros from the ancestral seat of House Baratheon at Storm's End.

Daenerys' decent into madness is slow. This verse explores her mindset after arriving to Westeros and the effect of power, paranoia, and betrayal on her psyche. She grows exceedingly unbothered by the acts of ruthlessness that is deemed necessary to reach the throne. Once the wheel breaks, it will all have meaning.

Daenerys is not killed after burning King's Landing ( partner preference: Jon stabs her but she is not killed ) and instead serves as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms like her father before her.

Daenerys is the second-born daughter of Aemma and Viserys Targaryen, making her Rhaenyra's younger sister.

On the deaths of her brothers and uncles, her father names Daenerys his heir and arranges for her departure for Essos to ensure her safety in the dance.

Daenerys takes three dragon eggs from the pits before boarding a ship for Essos. She lives in exile under the protection of Illyrio Mopatis as the last of Aegon Targaryen's lineage.

Daenerys hatches her dragons as the last of house Targaryen's dragons were dying under Aegon the Dragonbane's rule, leading some to believe Daenerys is the rightful heir of the Iron Throne.

"Crowley!" Zi did nothing to try to hide the stress and desperation in his voice. "This is---this is madness, you---you can't really expect to raise a human baby, can you?"

Foolish question, he knew that. If there was any angel even somewhat qualified to care for a child, it was Crowley. That didn't mean Zi was entirely confident in the idea. But then again, what other choice was there? The fate of literally everything was hanging in the balance, depending entirely on the cooing little bundle in Crowley's arms.

Zi whined just a little and then huffed.

"Look, if you're going to insist on doing this, then I'm not going to let you do it alone. Alright?"

Crowley looked over at one of his plants as Zi spoke, he knew he was right. Even for him his siblings wouldn't be able to look the other way when he directly went against gods great plan, he might not end up actually dead but it wouldn't be without consequences.

“I'm not suggesting you do anything, Zi. I'm saying that I'm willing to, I wouldn't ask you to take that risk.” Even as he said it he knew that even if he decided to do this? There was as much of a chance of the demon letting him do this alone as Crowley asking him to take the risk, that didn't mean he expected him not to tell him how stupid that was.

Another thing I want to do is add some realism by adding some daily randomization for some things I’m always on the fence about when i sit down to imagine something about him or write something about him that throws me off-

1) his form- I have the alternate “effeminate” form in mind which is basically Emma Stone with his color scheme, that he can toggle between that and her more natural coloring. My reasonings are that one- at some point he makes an alternate form with enhanced nerve endings (like the Borg gave him in that film, just not used to assault him, bless his soul) and experiment with experiencing other more human things, like illness or more proper aging. I want this form to need to be “recharged” so he can’t use it as a 24/7 vessel, hence his being in his usual Spiner body much of the time. I also have an AU where he uses this body as a disguise when synthetics are illegal (of course in this universe this body can be used much more before it’s in need of recharge). Since deciding this I’ve made picrews of the two of us with both of his form versions.

2) His emotions- I don’t like how the series handles him getting emotions- also I want him to get his chip, but I also want pre-chip Data indefinitely. So I’m thinking of similarly just re-doing how the chip works in my head to make it short-term use. My version of him will have it, but I think he won’t be able to use it 100% of the time. It’ll have to be rested for days at a time, like the body. So that’s another thing I could randomize. Whether he’s electing to use the chip for a few days/whether the chip has run out of juice.

3) His pronouns. I like him using multiple sets of pronouns, and mostly I like switching between them at will, but I do want to use all the ones I list, regardless of what form I’m imagining him using at the time.

So yeah. I’ll probably set up number ranges and randomize those.

I also plan to solidify the personality I believe he has- in big part, the difference between how he is with his chip verses without.

Also, for the imagines- I think I felt a little obligation to try to include some things from canon that, realistically, I just know nothing about. If he was real, he could educate me on classical artists and musicians, but in reality there’s a barrier between us, and I don’t have time to seek out the sources on my own right now. So we’ll assume he shows me mostly his fanart of shows we like in common (canonically he loves Sherlock Holmes, I hc him a big nerd who’d probably like most of what I watch anyway, and I believe he liked plays) and plays me classical interpretations of songs I already know and like (i love the sound of violin but most of it I listen to is Lindsey Sterling or covers of pop music).

Then just it’s gonna be lots of notes- the imagines I find on here that feel most in character, the things I spent my breaks imagining actually happened that day, quotes from him from my rewatch of the show (which I’m trying to encourage my mom into doing with me).

Also obviously anything I order from Etsy is fair game. Like Ive ordered some digital content. Especially this reverse yandere pack- I got it less for the “yandere” fantasy, and more because it advertised just coming up with a lot of details about the characters every day life, which will be really interesting

So yeah. Hopefully it’ll be fulfilling as I’m imagining ^.^ if not obviously I’ll just stop but I think it’ll be fun

all he did was sigh, flopping down on the bed after his shower. “Hmm..” he groaned, his face stuck in the pillow. You couldn’t see his tired state at all, but you were sure he was cute nonetheless..

“Well.. I guess that answers my question..” you chuckled and hummed. “Tired, huh?” He nodded.. even though you couldn’t see. “..hm.. I miss your voice..” jongseob mumbled, groaning a bit.

Again, the scant space between them was closed, Zi pressing forward to pin Crowley against the plush chair's armrest while he kissed him, the firm hand on his chin not wavering until after they'd broken apart, at which point it busied itself in the angel's hair. Soft, fiery locks were curled and twirled around the demon's fingers, part of him still in disbelief that he was permitted to do such a thing.

"If I could have it my way, everyone would know that you're mine."

He knew why that couldn't be, he hardly needed Crowley to remind him. But what harm was there in a little daydreaming?

Crowley couldn't help the grin at the shivers when he felt them and the soft gasp when he heard it, he had mostly just been trying to get more physical contact than anything. But the fact he had such a strong effect on his demon? It was something he very much enjoyed.

It was moments like that when he could forget for just a second exactly why they had waited so long to let anything happen.

At the offer of helping him get someone to take the hint he moved to give him a short kiss, it only lasted a moment before he pulled back and said to him in a faux serious tone. “Oh I'm sure you'd be very willing to help, no personal motivation behind that whatsoever.”

NAME

Human Name: Giorgi (Ilias Dze / Ilyich) Davitashvili

Giorgi — His first name actually started as a joke (Georgia... Giorgi... very clever) but it also works well. The patron saint of Georgia is Saint George: a military saint which has been popular in Georgia for centuries (parts of Georgia post-Christianization are believed to have combined the cult of Saint George with the cult of the pre-Christian moon god Armazi). Giorgi is also the most common male name in Georgia and the name of many Georgian kings.

Ilias Dze / Ilyich — He doesn’t actually use his patronymic anymore, but during the USSR he did have one because Obligatory Russification Time™. It’s after Prince Ilia Chavchavadze, a major contributor to the revival of the Georgian national movement in the late nineteenth century and widely considered to be the “Father of the Nation”.

Davitashvili — A Georgian surname roughly meaning “David’s child”. It’s a reference to the Bagratoni King David IV of Georgia (also known as David the Builder) who is famous for keeping the Seljuk Turks out of Georgia at the Battle of Didgori. It was under his reign that Georgia began to experience its Golden Age and much of the Caucasus region fell into Georgian hands.

TIMELINE

Before I start, I have to say Giorgi is not a collective personification of Georgia. Giorgi is actually the personification of the Kartlians! He just has the title of Georgia and so represents the nation on the international level (and also the domestic level depending on the situation).

Start (~5th century BC)

I pinpoint his “birth” to be around when several Anatolian tribes settled in Eastern Georgia and merged with the local tribes. He had a couple caretakers who were like siblings or sibling-parents.

Kingdom of Iberia (Kingdom of Kartli) (302 BC–580 AD)

In this period he gets baptized, starts loving God and Jesus (becoming the second nation in the world to adopt Christianity) and says no to paganism (but lowkey-highkey pagan practices were kept up for a long time).

Also, Iberia is the Greco-Roman name that is used for the area. When you see Iberia, know that it’s Kartli.

Principality of Iberia (588–888)

He is just trying to live his life but the Byzantine Empire and Sassanid Iran are ruining everything by fighting over the area. He also continues to love God and Jesus.

Kingdom of the Iberians (888–1008)

Lots of politics. Honestly, I hate it here.

Kingdom of Georgia (1008–1490)

The Battle of Didgori happens during this period and it was the best moment of his life. He has several amazing rulers including King Tamar. Lots of wars against the Byzantine Empire, various Turkic states and more. Eventually, the kingdom breaks up.

Kingdom of Kartli (1478–1762)

Here he gets fucked over by Safavid Iran multiple times and also works as a weird slave soldier too so life is great.

Kingdom of Kartli-Kakheti (1762–1801)

He has a short marriage to Kakheti that ends after he gets completely fucked over by Russia and then forcibly annexed into the Russian Empire.

Georgia Governorate (apart of the Russian Empire) (1801–1917)

There were actually several governorates in this period but for the sake of simplicity I’m going to list it as that one.

Transcaucasian Democratic Federative Republic (1918)

The Caucasus splits off from Russia. Giorgi represents Georgia and the TDFR (Armenia and Azerbaijan are also there as co-representatives of the TDFR). The Entente will later say they need to stick together but they forget one crucial detail:

Democratic Republic of Georgia (1918–1921)

Georgia splits off from the TDFR. Time to create a republic with a socialist government! Amazing! Too bad he’s the wrong kind of socialist according to the Bolsheviks and gets brutally stomped by the Red Army in 1921! 

All his neighbours want to fight in this period as well. The Entente also won’t commit to helping Georgia until it’s too late because they were suspicious of him after he had been forced to ask the German Empire for protection in 1918.

Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic (1921–1991)

Listen, the USSR was terrible, but at least Georgia was actually one of the nicer Soviet republics because he won the geographic lottery. He even got stereotyped as being the rich republic.

We just aren’t allowed to talk about Russification or the purges or the discrimination or the fact they would only print Georgia’s most iconic piece of literature in Russian.

(Oh, it’s also my headcanon that until 1936 he shared the title of USSR with the other republics.)

Georgia (1991–present)

1990s sucked. 2000s sucked. 2010s sucked. 2020 sucks.

Azerbaijan

They are... okay. They go from tolerating to disliking each other pretty quickly. He hates when he hangs out with her and Turkey and they only speak Turkish to each other so he ends up being a third wheel that didn’t want to be here in the first place but his economic situation means he has to show up.

Iran

They had major issues but things are fine now, I guess.

Okay, Giorgi actually still has some issues, but Iran just wants to come over for a vacation sometimes.

EU and NATO
