Knighted at a young age, Jaime Lannister of Casterly Rock quickly became one of the best Knights in the 7 kingdoms. He was knighted by the age of 16, and enjoyed being a Knight, building on his skills more and more, all the time. He wanted to join the Kingsguard, at his sister's urging, so he could stay in King's Landing. Since his youth, he'd been in a relationship with his twin sister, Cersei. He also was the only one in his family that was nice to his brother, Tyrion. But, his father did not like this plan and broke off Cersei's betrothal to King Rhaegar Targaryen and took her back to Casterly Rock.

H A N D O F T H E K I N G

Jaime was named to the Kingsguard and named hand of the King, by Aerys Targaryen II, as he became the youngest to do both. At the height of Robert's Rebellion, Tywin and the Lannister army came back and swore they were back to support them, but Jaime knew his father better than that. It didn't take long for them to attack, and when Jaime realized what the King was up to, and the fact that the pyromancer had helped him, he felt he had no choice but to kill them both, to keep them from killing everyone.

K I N G S L A Y E R

That act would get Jaime Lannister the name 'Oathbreaker' and 'Kingslayer'. He never told anyone at the time the truth about the 'Mad King', and was annoyed by the word, 'Kingslayer,' but Robert Baratheon pardoned him, as well as marrying Cersei. Jaime was able to stay working in the Kingsguard. Cersei had three children: Joffrey, Tommen and Myrcella, all of which are unknowingly fathered by Jaime, unbeknownst to Robert.

LORD COMMANDER

When Robert dies and Joffrey becomes King, Jaime becomes Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. He served under both Joffrey and Tommen, but ultimately left King's Landing, after problems with the Faith Militant.

THE LANNISTERS ALWAYS PAY THEIR DEBTS

Jaime had many journeys back and forth to King's Landing, leading the Lannister army, fighting against the dead and ultimately, going back to King's Landing, in the end.

That's what the Book of Brothers says about Jaime Lannister, anyway. But, he was never fond of writing about h is own exploits, despite the arrogant demeanor, that he displayed much of his life. He is the oldest son of Tywin and Joanna Lannister, twin brother pf Cersei and older brother to Tyrion. He is from House Lannister of Casterly Rock, has been a knight, since he was 16. Despite the fact that his sister and father shun his brother, he is extremely close to his brother, always seeing him as an equal. His relationship with his sister is by far, the most complex in his life. They have always been an extension of each other, came into the world together and he agrees with her, that they will leave it. They began an incestuous relationship when they were young, and have continued it, despite the ups and downs. When he was kidnapped, he wanted to get back to her. Even when they were apart and things seemed like they would never see each other again, Jaime ran back to her side, unwilling to let her die alone. Although as he grew older, he became a much deeper person who helped with wars and battles, he still viewed himself as a hateful person, who has always done everything he could, to get back to Cersei. He fought in many battles, helped enemies, fought enemies, lost a hand, defending the honor of a woman who he would grow to care deeply about. Despite his immoral behavior, Jaime is a knight until the end, making sure to keep his oaths many times, while still trying to navigate a on and off relationship that is toxic for him, not because she was his twin, but because she was awful to him.

After Anakin is made a Jedi Knight and the Clone Wars begin, Obi-Wan is officially a Jedi Master.  During the war, he is also a General, with his own Clone Army. As a Jedi Master, he has a seat on the Jedi Council and is often called the Negotiator.  He tries to handle things the best he can, despite the fact that it is not always the easiest to do so. 

I S O L A T I O N 

The Clone Wars are over, and Anakin is dead. Obi-Wan had to kill his brother (or that’s what he thinks).  He had to help hide his children from the new head of the Empire.  The Jedi have mostly been killed and he himself is in isolation, hiding away, since Jedi are still being killed. He doesn’t use the force and works with his hands.  He’s extremely broken, lonely and grief-stricken.

K E N O B I  A N D  B E Y O N D

10 years after his fight with Anakin on Mustafar, he discovers Anakin is alive, only he is now Darth Vader. After a run-in, he sees that he is basically a cyborg. He is trying to protect Anakin’s children, but it seems Darth Vader is extra obsessed with killing him.  He just is trying to figure out how to get through life, now.  After the events of Kenobi, he moves out of the cave and tries to get used to life as Ben Kenobi, while still watching over Luke, most to Owen Lars dismay.

A  N E W  H O P E

More time has passed and he’s settled into things, as an older man. He’s known to every one as Ben known, Obi-Wan not even a name that he recognizes, most of the time, anymore. But, he gets a message that Leia needs help and he knows he’ll have to help her. It’s also time to teach Luke about the force, all while being careful, how much to tell him about his father.

After Obi-Wan’s death, he becomes a force ghost, providing counsel to Luke and others who can communicate with force ghosts.

I N T O  T H E  F U T U R E

Obi-Wan did not fall to Darth Vader, in A New Hope and continues his life. He is not sure if he would want the responsibility of training Luke. He is too old to have a Padawan and he knows that he is a risk, due to his connection to Vader. But, he teams up with the Rebellion and continues to help where he is needed. He can still fight and he can counsel when needed (Canon Divergent Verse)

BIOGRAPHY:

Obi-Wan Kenobi was a Jedi, who was the apprentice of Qui-Gon Jinn, the master of Anakin Skywalker, and a respect Jedi Knight and Jedi Master. He served as a Clone War General, during The Clone Wars.  He was labeled the negotiator, since he could often negotiate conflicts.   As an apprentice, he helped Qui-Gon Jinn, in various different ways, learning from him and he even ‘killed’ Darth Maul, after he killed his former master, and promised a dying Qui-Gon that he would train Anakin.  In his earlier years, he also fell in love with the future duchess of Mandalore, Satine, but remained loyal to the Order.   Training Anakin was not the easiest for Obi-Wan. The two were only ten years apart in age, and Obi-Wan at times, could be a little harsher than he probably needed to be, but he cared deeply for Anakin.  Once Anakin became a knight, they still were partners, in the battlefield and in missions, not often found, without the other.   Eventually, he became a Jedi Master and was appointed to the Jedi Council, though he didn’t always agree with them. The hardest thing that Obi-Wan would go through, was when Anakin fell to the dark side, and he was sent to deal with him.  They had an intense duel on Mustafar and though Obi-Wan managed to overtake Anakin by dismembering him, he would not say that he won, in any way.  He figured that he had killed Anakin.  Due to the Jedi purge, he went into exile, and kept an eye on Anakin’s son Luke, for a distance.   Taking a common job, he stuck mostly to himself, a broken man of who he once was. After finding out that Darth Vader was in fact Anakin Skywalker, he and Darth Vader had several more run-ins, before Obi-Wan decided to stop living in such squalor and tried to live somewhat of a normal life.  But that would change again, when Leia would need help and he would finally tell Luke about the force.   This time when he faced Vader, he wouldn’t survive, but it was due to him sacrificing himself, so that the others could get away. Still able to communicate from the other side of the force, he still counseled Luke.

It was just a normal day, Caroline was making dinner because all of her children were coming to visit when she was pulled away to another world. She remembered being confused and searching for her home and for her children but neither were nowhere to be found and that's when she came in contact with the council who informed her where she was and that she was now stuck. All she could think about was her friends, her children back in her old home and she remembered crying for days before she realized if she was stuck here then she couldn't just sit around crying and she ended up getting a job as the principle of the local public school that was actually very supernatural friendly. Caroline also came to realize when she was pulled into the new world that in other worlds she had never left Mystic Falls, never gone off and gotten married and had children of her own. No, she had stayed in Mystic Falls and ended up carrying the children of Alaric Saltzman, she found that out from a council member that was from that realm but what Caroline also didn't know is that Ocyn would soon claim more victims and among them would be her children from her realm as well as the twin daughters she carried for Alaric who according to the council member she treated as her own.

✖ How has Tumblr RP changed since you started?

Oof this is so tough to explain. I started rping on tumblr in 2015. That was back when formatting and graphics weren't really a thing. We all wrote replies with HUGE gifs instead of icons, and we got them from posts where rp helpers (which used to be a thing, and I used to be one) would kind of gather up every gif they could find of a faceclaim and you could just bookmark that post and link back to their urls. We all had very basic themes and were generally kind to one another and there was no real basis for elitism because there was no one way to do rp that was seen as superior to another way except maybe rpers who wrote in first person versus those who wrote in third, but essentially they just left each other alone. There was no judgement on the basis of your font size, you know?

Back then people understood that indie meant you found your own partners, and otherwise you could join a group rp, but now group rps literally advertise in the indie tags. I think the thing for me that stands out the most was the feeling. Now when I think about tumblr rp, even as a grown ass woman, I feel a certain level of anxiety related to judgement and gatekeeping. I've never felt any type of way about my writing because it's something I pursue seriously, have a natural talent in, and am actively working on improving-- but often that doesn't matter in rp because partners are chosen based on power and control: is this person a part of my clique, can they be bullied, are they perceived in the way that I want to be perceived-- rather than choosing your partners based on their skill, interests, and kindness.

Rp has become so much about how rpers see themselves and others (self esteem and perceived social status), which leads to shit like gatekeeping and theft, and quite frankly emotional terrorism. I've been through things on tumblr rp that I literally had to work through in therapy, but I've also met some of my very best lifelong friends through rp (many of who left rp because of the evolving toxicity but stayed in touch). Ultimately, I'm trying to find people who reject these ideals of rp and embrace that there are only two things about rp that are important and that is creating something worthwhile, and creating that worthwhile thing with someone who treats you well.

{ ooc -- 1 -- well the obvious one being the major shift of aesthetics. i happened to start rping during the time this exact shift was made. and i was one of those people who went full force in the aesthetics when it came out. yes, i was a bit elitist and refused to follow anyone who didn't match my aesthetic (pls don't come after me i'm not like this anymore fdhjksd)

Born in a small town in the middle of nowhere, Pennsylvania, Laura Lynn always dreamed of more for herself. Her dreams of working with animals and wildlife started from a young age - and having been raised in the middle of the woods essentially, it was easy for her to get hands on experience with animals and nature from a young age. From dawn until dusk, she’d find herself outside throughout her childhood, running through the woods - creating a fantasy land through the trees, over the hills and across rivers with her expansive imagination. Laura was known to get her hands dirty, covered in mud - sticks and leaves tangled in her curly hair, but there was always a smile on her face. For what her parents never realized is that there was more of a connection to nature with their child then what met the eye.

There was harmony with every living creature, from the birds to the bees, the deer and the raccoons and even the trees and flowers. She could feel the life forces within each and every one of them, befriending the forest and the animals and knowing that no matter where she went she’d never be lost - never be in harms way.  

Her magic only strengthened her decision to work with animals when she grew up, graduating high school and immediately setting her sights on a school in Swynlake, England that was known for their Magizoology programs. She’d dreamed of working in their rehabilitation centers, of meeting magical creatures that she’d never even imagined could be real. It was tough for her to leave her family back in America - but they all supported her passion and all but pushed her to apply. Getting through her undergraduate program was some of the best three years of her life - and when it came to a close, Laura Lynn realized she wasn’t quite ready to venture home yet. There was still more for her to discover here in Swynlake. 

About to enter the Masters program for Magizoology, she can only hope that with a bit of hard work, she might find herself on the receiving end of a job working at the rehabilitation center or with the great forest of Enchantra.

BIOGRAPHY:

Zack Morris was raised in Palisades, California to Melody and Derek Morris, as an only child. He was likely trying to run a scam or a baby pool in the nursery. He has known close friends Jessie Spano and Screech Powers, pretty much since birth and most of his other close friends since elementary school. He didn't meet A.C. Slater until high school. They rivaled for Kelly Kapowski's affection but were eventually best friends.

Zack's main love interest in high school was Kelly Kapowski. They were on and off and she eventually cheated on him with her boss, and they broke up for a couple years, although there were moments when it appeared they would get back together. Zack dated many girls in high schools, even dabbling with kissing Jessie and dating Lisa. But, no one ever seemed really serious, other than Kelly.

He never applied himself in school, mostly a C student, on a good day and spent a lot of time in the Principal's Office and Detention. He participated in Track & Basketball but Zack's niche more or less, was running scams and claims deal was his middle name. His scams tended to blow up in his face, but he was protective of his friends and people he cared about.

Shocking everyone, he got a 1502 on his SAT and originally said that he was going to Yale. But, he wound up at California University with Slater, Screech and Kelly. The four of them were suite mates, along with two other girls and Zack tried bouncing back and forth between Leslie and Kelly, but he leaned more towards Kelly, who he was very protective of, especially when she took a job at a sleazy restaurant and had a short affair with a Professor. Eventually, they reunited and when she was going to leave on the Semester at Sea program, he was scared she'd forget about him.

He wound up proposing and at 19, they married. Zack is a lawyer who did serve as Governor as the state of California. His most difficult job has been being a parent to his teenage son, Mac. But, he and Kelly have gone the distance and been married for 30 years.

After becoming a lawyer, Zack and Kelly wait a while before having a child and from day one, being a father is challenging. But, he and Kelly navigate through it all, even when he becomes Governor and loses the next election. Things are uncertain after that but he always has a plan.

After going with his mother when she divorced his father, Bjorn has to deal with her new husband and how he treats his mother. After they get word that Ragnar needs aid, they return to Kattegat to help him. Bjorn decides to stay and over the next several years finds all sorts of adventures, battles, loves, interactions with his father, among many enemies. After Ragnar left Kattegat, Bjorn is left as the oldest of his brothers. He makes a life for himself in Kattegat, helping Aslaug out with Kattegat, all while growing older and continuing to live his life, despite wondering just what has become of his father. After his father's return, he has to deal with that and then avenge his father's death. But Bjorn still wants something bigger. He wants to explore the Mediterranean and nothing will stop him. In modern times, Bjorn is the son of Ragnar Lothbrok. His father alway,s had a desire to stay in the farming business, but was forced into being a CEO of a major company, after finding out that the leader was corrupt, and it was his only way to save it. Bjorn strives to support his father and despite wanting to forge his own path, he finds himself helping his father, working with him. He never agreed with how his parents' marriage ended, but he tries to find his own way, all while supporting them, the best he can. (Alexander Ludwig)

Childhood was never a normal time, even for Tate.  His father disappeared when he was young, and his siblings could never be seen as normal, but he loved them, anyway. He always was able to talk to the people in the house, anyway.  It stayed like that, and he was as normal as someone like him could be.

A D O L E S C E N C E

As he grew older, her grew more moody.  He knew that his mother had her boyfriend kill his brother, and the house did not help. It told him to do things that he probably shouldn’t do. It all culminated when he set his mother’s boyfriend on fire and went to school and shot a bunch of people, before being gunned down, by the police in the house. 

G H O S T  T A T E

Tate is stuck in the house forever, as a ghost. If one dies in Murder House, they never get to leave. The spirits convince him to do things that he shouldn’t sometimes, and he can be just as evil as the rest of them, but sometimes, he isn’t. Sometimes, he is a little less toxic

BIOGRAPHY:

There probably was never a time that Tate Langdon would have been considered normal. He was always a bit moody, although physically, he was considered the 'normal' one of his siblings. His mother could be a bit 'difficult', to say the least, but that was not what made him do the things he did. That was not what made him do things like set his mother's boyfriend on fire, shoot several kids at school, rape his girlfriend's mother, leading to the death of both her mother and father, ultimately. That was more evil than Tate could ever have produced on his own. That was the evil that was created by Murder House and he was used as a vessel to bring forth the evil, that was coming forth. Anything after the school shooting, he did as a ghost, and he didn't remember any of the horrible deeds. He could do such dark things, and they were things that cost him Violet, the only girl he's ever loved, the light to his darkness. Tate will probably never be good, but once Michael Langdon left the house, that evil wasn't inside of him anymore either and maybe he could finally live, or exist anyway without all of that manipulation by the other spirits, wanting to cause harm. He just had to hope he could convince Violet to truly forgive him.

A young Padmé Naberrie becomes Queen of Naboo, taking the name Queen Amidala. She served two terms and was loved by her people. That did not mean that it was a time of peace, though.  There were a lot of battles to be fought, internally and externally, during her reign.

After serving two terms as Queen, Padmé is ready to leave the crown behind but becomes senator of Naboo. She handles many important things, and is still in danger, constantly.

After an assassination on her life, she is put under the protection of Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan Anakin Skywalker, who she knows, from her days as Queen. Soon, Anakin is sent to guard her in Naboo and sparks fly between them.  She is never one to stay out of trouble and between the two of them, they wind up nearly dying more than once, and marry, all in just a few weeks time. Now, they have the Clone Wars to deal with, her career as a Senator, his new Knighthood and being made a General in the Wars.

The war is declared over. Chancellor Palpatine has declared himself Emperor. Anakin is acting crazy, and is even trying to get her to run away with him.  She fears for her unborn child’s life, and doesn’t know what to do.  Could she run away with him or was she going to have to be firm and risk the consequences? How did everything fall apart so fast?

Anakin doesn’t have the first nightmare, and the morning after finding out she is pregnant, they disappear to Naboo.  She hides away for the rest of her pregnancy, and has two healthy babies.  Anakin keeps talking of leaving the Order and she really wants him to. She knows that there is a new regime in place, but they have their own happy world, here. 

S H E  W A S  A L I V E 

Padmé suffered greatly, at the hands of Anakin’s force choke, and now she knows that she has to make him think she is dead. Naboo isn’t a safe place for them. So with the help of Yoda and Obi-Wan, she disappears.  But, she doesn’t know if it will work and if Padmé Amidala can truly disappear.

BIOGRAPHY:

Padmé Naberrie, publicly Padmé Amidala comes from the planet of Naboo.  She served two terms as Queen, and was asked to serve a third term but declined.  She did continue into public service and become Senator of Naboo.  She also became the secret wife of Anakin Skywalker, at the beginning of the Clone Wars.  She was not one to sit idly and let things fall apart during the war. She tried to do what she could from the Senate, despite feeling like nothing was working and being separated from her husband, far too much of the time.

Towards the end of the war, she discovered she was pregnant, and once Anakin finally returned, she told him. They were happy but once he started having nightmares that she would die in childbirth, he became impossible to calm down about it, and it would prove a disaster, felt within the galaxy.  When she heard of him turning to the dark side, she went to him and in his anger, he force choked her.  She later gave birth to twins, Luke and Leia, who would prove to be important.  She did not survive.

Padme was strong, independent, handy with a blaster.  She knew how to stand up for herself, her people, and  she was loved by many.
