bay of emeralds academy readers who had not so good biological parents. Maybe dragonet reader had parents who tried to sacrifice them, I know there are some animals who will strait up drop their babies in order to escape prey. So maybe their parents gave up or reader when they were young in order to escape scavengers how you'd platonic yandere adults react to this when reader finally confided in them.
Hmmmm... I can work with that. While I don't think Reader's biological parents (or who they think are their biological parents) would abandon them because of scavengers being nearby, as I see them living in a HiveWing Hive in Pantala originally, they have the potential to be cruel or demeaning to Reader. They'd likely be self-centered, narrow-minded, and demanding, wanting Reader to be what they want, rather than encouraging Reader to be themself. Theyd make Reader feel insecure and small, only giving praise when Reader does what they want when they want it. They only give conditional attention and care; otherwise, they leave Reader on their own, regardless of if they're crying or upset or being hurt. They might leave Reader or abandon them at an early age at an orphanage or on a random dragon's steps, but they'd leave a lasting impression on Reader, making them believe all adults are secretly awful and want you to only please them, regardless of what you actually want, and will belittle you if you ask for help...
If Reader told the platonic yandere adults about this, they'd be livid. They'd want to officially adopt Reader then and there, but hold back. No wonder Reader is so jumpy around them, and always try to say the right thing. This poor dragonet doesn't even know what they want, let alone what's expected of them. Reader only shows others what Reader thinks they want to see, so there's always a barrier between actual connection. Well, it won't stay that way for long! As soon as possible, they are transferring complete custody of Reader to the school, and keeping them far away from the dragons who barely kept them alive...
Chary is letting Reader know how proud he is they told him this information, and that he will do everything in his power to move custody of them to him and the school. (He doesn't mention adoption just yet). He's asking if they need a minute, or if they want a handkerchief for their eyes or nose. He remains gentle and quiet, offering words of comfort and letting them know it will be alright...
Storm is hugging Reader, wiping away any tears that roll down their face and twining her tail with their's. She tells them they're strong, for telling her all of this, and asks if Reader is okay. If Reader needs to spend the night with someone (assuming they don't want to be seen by the students as weak), Storm is offering to let Reader sleep in her room for the night, having a small sleepover...
Locust is taking it in, then snarling. He let's Reader know they're brave, and better than their parents ever were. He's also secretly plotting to hunt them down and make them pay for hurting his kid. He's letting Reader pour out any emotions and reactions with him, crying or screaming or sobbing, whatever helps get the bad stuff out. Then he's wrapping his wings around them in a small hug...
Beauty is having to take a deep breath. Then he's pulling out some tea and a jar of sweets, telling Reader to grab a cup amd take a few honeydrops while they calm down. He's furious on the inside, but keeps calm on the outside for Reader. He's offering to let them vent to him when they need to, and asking if they want to have a journal for when they feel down, amd one for when they feel happy. If Reader is tired after that, he's throwing a blanket around their shoulders and telling them to rest their eyes for a few minutes...
Manta is angry, inside and out. He let's Reader know they will never go back to those dragons, and if they come to cause trouble, he and the others will protect Reader. He's telling them that as of now, he and Chary will see about moving full custody of Reader to them and the school, and assures them it is for the best. If he secretly asks Chary to find out the names of the dragons who hurt Reader so he can help hunt them down, then no one heard a thing, now, did they...
Majestic is turning bright red and burning black and boiling green. She's ready to spit venom on the poor fools who hurt her dragonet! She let's Reader know she is there if they need any help or if they have anything else they want to say, and she won't turn them away. She offers Reader a piece of fruit, and asks if they have any other problems they need to talk about, all while plotting an assassination of their former parents...
Sawfly is demanding names and descriptions. He tells Reader they're worth more than their parents weight in gold, and they're nicer, too. He offers a bit of comfort, letting Reader stay in his room for a bit while he starts making a list to give Chary and Manta. He let's Reader know they aren't in trouble, and that Reader did nothing wrong. What he doesn't tell them is he and his brother and a few of the others are about to hunt their parents down and have a nice, "friendly" chat with them, with added claws and venom and death...
Chary: NightWing Xavier
Storm: IceWing Storm
Locust: HiveWing Logan
Beauty: SilkWing Beast
Manta: SeaWing Magneto
Majestic: RainWing Mystique
Sawfly: HiveWing Sabretooth

Platonic yandere parents/teachers Wolverine, Storm, Xavier, Beast, Magneto, Mystique, and Sabretooth in a Wings of Fire AU, for Reader their (unknown to Reader) adoptive dragonet...
Reader is going to a new school, a place between Pyrrhia and Pantala, and they're trying to fit in. They struggle a bit, not used to so many other dragons and dragonets, especially their clawmates and sharing a room with some of them... Yet the teachers are very nice to them! Almost alarmingly so... But they also are really fun when they want to be!
You have The Professor, or Chary, the NightWing, who teaches about dragon evolution and anatomy, who also teaches scales and squares to any students who are curious. He's always patient and calm, and protects his students from threats along with the other teachers. Sadly, he's paralyzed from his tail to his back talons, but he has a wheelchair to help hold his talons and let him go from class to class in the palalace-like school. He's nice, amicable, and seems to know what everyone is feeling or thinking... Maybe he's a mindreader? In that case, maybe Reader should be more careful? Yeah, that's a good plan-!
You have Storm the IceWing, the agriculture and dragon cultures teacher, who teaches students about different plants of the continents and dragon tribes, and about the tribes' different cultures and relationships. She's pretty and powerful, with sharp claws and the ability to shoot frostbreath from her mouth. She likes to tend to the gardens, and she let's students help her. While she doesn't have any kids there, she does have a nephew! Reader hopes to befriend both of them. The one weird thing is how their teacher always offers them different berries and fruits, but Reader usually declines them- even if some have a sweet-snelling syrup or honey on them...
There's Locust the HiveWing, the art and history teacher, who shows the students different art forms and tells then the history of the tribes, all the way back to even the Scorching. He can be pretty gruff and stern, but he does help if anyone asks him, and is understanding to anyone who has fears or doubts. He sometimes can be found in the art rooms, carving little wooden statues or hanging up art that the students make. Reader wonders if he used to be a soldier from how he acts... They hope he doesn't ever get mad at them...
There's Beauty the SilkWing, who teaches health classes and science, and also reads classic literature sometimes to the students. He's big, but a gentle giant. He drinks tea a lot, and even helps the students make tea, but he does his best to keep coffee away from them, as he says it's bad for their health. Reader thinks he's sweet. They just need to hide their coffee from him...
There's also Manta the SeaWing, who is the librarian and literature teacher. He tends to be cold and collected, but does not tolerate bullying or picking on differences. He hates scavengers, and doesn't like that Chary tries to make peace with them. He has twins, both of whom are students at the school. Reader has a small fear of their teacher, but also respect. They wonder why he hates scavengers...
There's also Majestic the RainWing, who teaches about geology and the environment. She seems to dislike most students, save for her son and adopted daughter, yet is gentler with younger dragonets, too. She doesn't seem to be pleased very often, and she helps keep scavengers away from the school, along with Manta and Sawfly. One can find her sometimes wandering the halls, scouring them in case any students are causing trouble. Reader never wants to get on her bad side...
Then there's Sawfly the HiveWing, who teaches defense, hunting, and games to the students. He's the largest of the teachers, and doesn't seem fond of anyone except Locust. He sometimes cooks food, and actually let's some of the nicer students try it. Usually the food is really good. While he's an imposing figure and extremely skilled in fighting and camouflage, it's best to steer clear from him when he's in a bad mood. Reader wonders if he's nicer than he seems...
Chary: Charles Xavier/The Professor
Storm: Ororo Munroe/Storm
Locust: Logan Howlett/Wolverine
Beauty: Hank McCoy/Beast
Manta: Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto
Majestic: Raven Darkholme/Mystique
Sawfly: Victor Creed/Sabretooth
(The school is almost like a mini palace/tower/fortress, with clean halls and dorm rooms and a built-in plumbing system that has small rivers in the prey center for drinking water, some sinks in the art room, some small bowls or pools of water in the dorm rooms, etc. There are little towers/turrets to look at the moons and stars, pools and gardens for recreational use, and there is a large library in the school as well. Statues can be found in some larger halls, and there are sometimes small areas with pillows for students to rest and read and relax together if they want. The students come from Pyrrhia and Pantala, and hybrids are welcome just as much as any other tribe. Students have special beds/sleeping areas suited to their tastes, such as kelp beds for SeaWings, hammocks for RainWings and SilkWings, rock ledges for SkyWings, etc. . Reader is new to the school, and is overwhelmed, but the teens are slowly getting Reader to open up a bit. The teachers like Reader, noting how polite and sincere they are, and how Reader puts effort into their work, even if it isn't perfect. I'm imagining X-Men Evolution specifically for this AU...)

Reader will be a HiveWing/NightWing hybrid for the Bay of Emeralds Academy AU... Now, this means that, as a possibility or future plot point, Reader could be a blood relative or biological child to either Chary (NightWing Xavier) or Locust (HiveWing Wolverine) or Sawfly (HiveWing Sabretooth).
(In this au, I'm going to say dragons can have eggs no matter their gender or parts)
With Chary, if he was their biological father, perhaps he had a lover and they wanted dragonets or helped a friend have an egg, then gave it up... that, or it was taken and he doesn't know it's fate or whereabouts. He'd miss it, never knowing what the dragonet looked like or what he would have named them or even what their gender was. If he did eventually find out Reader was his missing egg, he'd be thrilled. It's perfect, in his eyes. Fate. And one doesn't ignore fate, do they? His dragonet is back with him, and with his friends, and he can teach them everything they need to know about any powers they might have! He'll love them even if they don't have any powers. All he wants is a chance to get to know them, to be their dad, and to watch them grow up...
If Locust was Reader's biological father, I can imagine he didn't want to give their egg up, whether he laid it or his partner did. Reader was likely taken from him, or a royal or noble made it look like Reader's egg was cracked or shattered, making Locust think they were dead... Locust would be heartbroken, mourning the death of his unhatched dragonet, then going on a rampage to hunt down their murderer/s... Once he finds out Reader is his egg and that they survived, he's in disbelief. He wants to believe it, but... How can it be? He's getting to the bottom of the mystery, and taking that time to grow closer with Reader, trying to get to know them and be there for them, the way he wishes he had been years ago... He isn't letting them go, now that he has them. And they can't leave so easily, with them being at the school...
If Sawfly was Reader's biological dad, Reader was either an accidental egg or one he wanted as the sole parent... Reader was probably hidden very well, and only select dragons knew of their existence, and Sawfly probably hid them away in a home he had in one of the Hives or another dragon city. Reader's egg was likely stolen by their other parent, and the two ended up fighting over the egg, eventually leading to Reader being taken when no one was watching them. Sawfly would feel hollow, empty, knowing his egg wasn't with him anymore. He'd also hunt down the traitor who dared steal it! Once he finds out Reader is his egg that grew up, he's trying to put himself into their life. They may have been alone, but not anymore. They now have him, and their uncle, and Reader will learn to like them, to view them as family. It's not like they can fly away, now, can they...?
No matter which one could be Reader's dad (if we follow that idea), they'd all be ready to be their dad in a heartbeat. This is THEIR dragonet, thank you, now leave them alone and let them start Father-Child bonding time...

Bay of Emeralds Academy Reader after having a nightmare doesn't wake their clawmates, but ends up leaving their room and going to a different wing/area of the school... Then one of the adults (their unknown platonic yan adoptive parent) finds them, and they either stay up with Reader, take then back to bed, or let Reader sleep in their room, while they sleep in a different part of the room (or at least give Reader some space, unless Reader wants a hug)...
Chary: NightWing Xavier
Storm: IceWing Storm
Locust: HiveWing Wolverine
Beauty: SilkWing Beast
Manta: SeaWing Magneto
Majestic: RainWing Mystique
Sawfly: HiveWing Sabretooth
Chary would probably find Reader reading, and lightly chastise them for trying to read scrolls in the dark... Only to glean from Reader's mind that they had a nightmare, and are afraid to go back to sleep, in fear of having it again. With that in mind, he's making them a cup of soothing herbal tea, directing them to a pile of pillows in the library, and keeping them company until they fall asleep... And when they do, he's keeping an eye on what they dream, so he can wake them if need be...
Storm would find Reader in the gardens, staring up at the moons. She originally asks what Reader's doing up, telling them they should be asleep, yet when Reader tells her they had a bad dream, she's asking them to take a walk with her. The two talk about anything and nothing, passing the time until Reader feels better and tired enough to go back to bed. Storm walks them back, making sure Reader gets to their room safely, then leaves once Reader is resting in their blankets...
Locust would find Reader in the art room, by themself making jewelry. When he asks what they're doing, Reader says they're distracting themself, and when he presses, Reader adds they had a night terror. Locust sits besides Reader and takes a look at what they're making, making a comment or two before he joins them. In the end, they've spent an hour making a few bracelets, and Reader gives one to him. Locust offers to take them back to bed, then once Reader is asleep, spends the night in the hall outside so he's there if Reader or the others need him...
Beauty would likely find Reader in the halls, trying to decide where to go. He's gentle, asking if they're lost, and finds out Reader had a nightmare and wanted to find one of the adults, but didn't know where to start. He and Reader go to the theater room, and he and Reader read lines to each other from one of the plays, until Reader is falling asleep where they stand. Beauty let's them sleep when they won't wake up, and simply stays by their side, draping his wings over them as a makeshift blanket. He can wake them up in the morning, but only after they've gotten a few peaceful hours of rest...
Manta finds Reader by the pools, dipping their talons in and stirring the water. When he questions them, Reader is hesitant to explain they had a bad dream, but he guesses that they did. When he asks what it was about, Reader vaguely says they dreamt of a place they thought they left behind... Manta then spends his time reminding them they are somewhere else, with different dragons, and that they have done well for themself. He eventually gets Reader to go back to their room, but only leaves once he has them promise to come to him next time they have any problems...
Majestic would find Reader in the prey center, and sneaks up on them... When she accidentally scares them, she apologizes, seeing Reader was already upset. Reader explains they had a nightmare and went to get something to eat. Majestic asks them if they tried any of the fruit, then shows Reader the different fruits, changing her scales to match their colors. This earns a few laughs from Reader, and soon Reader has found a new favorite fruit... Majestic leads them back to their hall, then tells Reader she'll show them other fruits later, but no more night time wandering...
Sawfly would probably find Reader in the history cave, looking up something. When he asks why they're up, Reader says they're trying to find out why they keep having the same night terror. This leads Sawfly to help them find a few scrolls, mostly about HiveWing history and different tribe abilities. Sawfly asks Reader if they're okay, and offers to scare away anyone who bothers them. Reader nods, thanking him, and falls asleep awhile later, the scroll rolled out underneath their talons... Sawfly huffs, but keeps watch, tossing a nearby fur over Reader, then stays put until morning...
Once the night is over, Reader wakes up, having had a dreamless slumber... and having a new liking for their teacher. When Reader goes to eat breakfast, Reader thanks them, then goes to grab something to eat before classes begin...

(The two hybrid options give me an idea for what Reader's powers can be, so thats why it is limited)

Bay of Emeralds Academy AU has dragon Kurt, who I'm going to say is a SilkWing/RainWing hybrid, named Karner, who's a deep blue with yellow and light blue mixed in (he is the SilkWing of the Pearl Winglet). Kitty I can see being a RainWing, who is named Kiwi, who's usually baby pink and lilac purple (and is the RainWingof the Pearl Winglet). Those two are rather fun, being loud and outgoing, and form a friend group with their winglet, the Pearl Winglet (consisting of the X-Men dragonets).
There is dragon Jean, who is a SkyWing named Junco, with auburn scales (she is the SkyWing of the Pearl Winglet). She shares a cave with Roguemind, NightWing Rogue, who has dark green and black scales, and can read the thoughts of those around her when she touches them (she is the NightWing of the Pearl Winglet). These two seem to get along for the most part, understanding each other and how hard it is to appear put together in front of others.
Dragon Scott is a MudWing named Cypress, who has almost clay-red scales and brown undertones (and is the MudWing of the Pearl Winglet). He shares a room with Redwood, LeafWing Gambit, who has brown scales with pink-red membranes (he is the LeafWing of the Pearl Winglet). These two tend to keep the other balanced, and their love interests share a room together, too.
There is IceWing Evan, who's name is Ermine, and he has pale yellow-white scales, almost like bone (and is the IceWing of the Pearl Winglet). Dragon Bobby is a SeaWing/IceWing named Bubble, who has pale blue scales and sharpens spines and claws than most SeaWings (he is the Pearl Winglet SeaWing). These two do pranks together, tending to get along, and tend to end up in trouble. Dragon Jubilee is a SandWing named Jerboa, who has golden scales (and is the SandWing of the Pearl Winglet) (I'm imagining her Animated Series personality, and a mix of X-Men Evolution). She shares a room with Ermine and Bubble, and they make a trio of trouble makers (who do harmless pranks. Most of the time).
And Reader is their newest addition! A HiveWing who has a few traumas, and hopes to make their first real friends, Reader wants to get along with these strange, boisterous dragonets, and earn good grades. They like painting, making jewelry, and writing stories, but don't mind wrestling with others (as long as no one bites them, otherwise it becomes personal).
Reader is in for a surprise with their new clawmates, who like this strange new dragon! This is someone who is sincere, yet they seem so sad and lonely at times... But never fear! They're all there to be their new friends, maybe they'll even be family? And they have the rest of the school to back them up!

Does anyone have ideas what tribe Reader should come from in the Bay of Emeralds Academy AU? Or maybe a hybrid of two tribes Reader could be? I'm stumped on what tribe to make them, so I'm open to discussing it if y'all have any ideas or suggestions. There are ten tribes: MudWing, SandWing, SkyWing, SeaWing, RainWing, IceWing, NightWing, HiveWing, SilkWing, and LeafWing.

for the Emrald Academy au I imagine reader to be a bit of a rebel or social butterfly in terms of social norms. Like maybe they actively seek out or are friends with scavengers. Sneaking out to dance or socalize in the town square. probably covered head to toe trying to hide their appearance trying to be as human as possible how would platonic yandere parents react?
Okay! (My first answer got deleted, so I'm doing this again!). Now, first, Reader and the others dragons aren't human-sized. Humans are usually 5-6 feet tall, with a regular dragon size being about, 15 to 20 feet, I think? Dragons age fast the first seven years of their life (count year one for a dragon as three years old for a human, then times by three until you reach seven, which would be twenty-one for a human, then they age slowly for the rest of their life). I'm making the ages easier. So, a one year old dragonet would be a two year old human, two year old dragonet would be a four year old human, and by age eleven, a dragon would be considered an adult. I hope this works, and makes sense for this au)
Chary (NightWing Xavier) would be worried if Reader wanted to befriend or have a pet scavenger (they're humans, but called scavengers). He applauds Reader wanting peace between them and the dragons, but he's worried for Reader's safety first and foremost. Why can't Reader befriend other dragonets? They're possibly more open-minded than a scavenger towards dragons...
Storm (IceWing Storm) wants Reader to be safe and happy. She'll allow this friendship, but only as long as the scavenger is a good friend and isn't dangerous. If they try to hurt Reader, then Reader won't be allowed near them again. She has either her nephew or herself spy on Reader and the scavenger when they meet up.
Locust (HiveWing Wolverine) doesn't like it one bit. He thinks scavengers are dangerous and that they'll hurt Reader, so he'd rather Reader make friends with the other dragonets rather than a human. He will hunt down anyone, dragon or scavenger, who hurts Reader.
Beauty (SilkWing Beast) finds it fascinating. He wonders if it's an experiment being done, and wants to ask so many questions. He refrains, for the most part. He likes that Reader is open-minded, but reminds them to be careful.
Manta (SeaWing Magneto) is completely against it. He will NOT tolerate any scavengers near his students, least of all a student he views as like his own dragonet! He's putting his talons down on this, and won't allow it. He tries to hunt the scavenger, especially if it hurts Reader.
Majestic (RainWing Mystqiue) finds it odd. Why would Reader bother being around a scavenger? Is it a weird joke? An odd phase? She doesn't understand it, but doesn't mind as long as Reader isn't being used or turned against them.
Sawfly (HiveWing Sabretooth) doesn't like it at all. He's hunting down the scavenger and threatening it, if not outright eating it. He's worried it will hurt Reader, as he and his brother were hurt when they were dragonets, so he'd rather skip to the part where he eats it and Reader goes back to the school, possibly mad, but safe from scavenger schemes and brutality.
At best, they're all confused, at worst they're disapproving or trying to break the friendship apart. Either way, Reader won't be friends with the scavenger for long (that is assuming the scavenger accepted Reader, and didn't run in terror or try to kill them...).
