It's hard for me to speak in terms of fandom. In general I say multi-muses are bit more accepting of crossovers, but I've also had pretty luck with single muse blogs. Well sort of... since there's also the factor of blogs just being inactive when it comes to fandoms are currently trending. Once a fandom isn't trending anymore, if there's still an active blog for it, I feel like it's more likely to be accepting of crossovers and consistent.

Also for larger fandoms where there are enough people to RP with within them, there are blogs where in the rules they state they're not particularly interested in crossover or they don't prioritize them which is understandable. If the Cyberchase fandom were giant I'd probably be that way as well.

♒ Thoughts on the fandom you're currently rping in?

The RolePlay Community is small, but great! I least my little corner of it. @le-boid @dunce-buckets @gctta-pace and @anomalystudy have all become super good friends of mine and I'm so happy to have them. As well as @m0ther-chase despite her blog being dormant at the moment and @all-fleshed-out who is technically honorary, but should be canon. Of course always happy to have more people join us! Dupes welcome, side characters welcome.

On the fandom outside the rpc, my feelings are a little more complicated. Luckily, I've been able to put myself in a space where I'm only interacting with the people I consider friends, but there are definitely a lot of people in the fandom I don't really want to interact with.

✧ Do you agree with reblog karma or is it forced interaction?

I mean I'm not counting how many times I send you stuff versus you send me stuff, but if we're mutuals and we are currently writing together I do appreciate some level of return. Obviously it's a good feeling to have your interest in your mutual's muses reciprocated and it's not just a one way relationship where you feel like you're only getting back 50% of what you're getting. But it doesn't necessary have to be through memes or anything in specific. Could just be DMing your mutual or something, leaving nice tags in your replies, or whatever. Drawing art for your mutual if you're into that.

Maybe it's just my anxiety talking, but I don't like being the only one putting in effort to begin interactions of any kind. Easy way to make me give up doing threads I was previously excited for. If you're not invested in writing with me anymore just softblock me or if you want a hard break, say so.

My favourite genre would be anything supernatural or dark romance vibes. There's a lot of sub genre I love too - like historical fantasy or mystery. Honestly it's hard to choose just one, for me it always come down to the character's development and how they interact within their story and I do love a good twist!

Honestly I think it's hard to refuse a whole genre outside of obvious offenses. If I had to choose something I'm not super comfy with it would be horror - I'm a bit of a scaredy cat and I feel like horror takes real skill to set up in a thread.

𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈.  immediately. but jokes aside, i would love to plot things out rather than jumping into a ship. how i portray akechi is very complicated. he doesn't trust easily, nor does he show affection easily. It's got to be earned rather than freely given. Relationships with him require time and patience to develop genuine connections. His complex nature means that he often tests boundaries and remains guarded until someone proves their worth through consistent actions and sincerity. Hence, understanding his intricate personality is key to navigating any meaningful interaction or potential relationship with him.            ↳    I do ship Akira/Akechi; however, just because you write a protagonist, doesn't mean I'll automatically ship with you or force anything. Honestly, I prefer their friendship over their implied romance because the game doesn't give anything other than surface-level interactions that hint at something more. I find the depth of their platonic relationship far more compelling and worth exploring in greater detail. The complexity of their relationship fascinates me, and focusing on their friendship can bring out the nuances of their characters that might be overshadowed by forcing a romantic narrative. That being said, i will only exclusively ship with one akira at a time.

𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒍. as mentioned before, i'm not following the series canon with akechi, and therefore doing my own thing with him. all headcanons and metadumps are mine and mine alone. i've planned everything out even way before i started writing this boy, and it was only exacerbated by the creation of P5R, but ironically i prefer the vanilla version as it has a little history of akechi's that i like. that bing said, please do not take anything��i write from this blog. all the information is very specific to me and how i interpret akechi and his life.

Legend of Zelda, for sure ( and, I'm only SLIGHTLY biased since I've been in this particular roleplay fandom for over a decade ). Outside of my usual, cliche answer, the Genshin Impact and Sonic the Hedgehog fandoms have been an absolute treat, as well. Everyone's accepting of duplicates, individual interpretations . . . you could have the basic of the BASICS in terms of graphics, or you could be THE Photoshop Guru with trophies and certificates and ribbons, but either way, you're accepted, and I love that.

✧ Do you agree with reblog karma or is it forced interaction?

Certain parts of it, I agree with. Reblog from the source if you're not going to send something in. Nothing more annoying than getting a handful of notifications and getting EXCITED at the prospect of a thread response or a potential new roleplay partner, only to see that someone went through my meme tag and went Black Friday shopping. If you don't want to send a meme in, just reblog it from the source! Nobody's going to ( rather, nobody SHOULD ) hold it against you. That's all, though. I'm not gonna get upset, per-se, if someone takes one or two memes from me and doesn't send anything in. Just keep it limited to a reasonable amount.

✖ How has Tumblr RP changed since you started?

It has changed a LOT. It feels like everything is based on how pretty a blog looks, or how many colors people can shove into their thread replies. It's only half about the writing, and, I mean, I get it, to an extent. I've pulled up blogs and gone ' WOW, GORGEOUS ' before, and I, personally, like for my blog to look clean and nice, too, despite my minimal graphic arts experience, but . . . I remember when people had 100x100 sized icons, container blogs weren't a thing ( which, I DO love a good container blog, so that was a trend I actually dipped into myself ), and the most formatting one did was a lil small text, here and there, some bold . . . ya might italicize something.

We were just there to write and be silly. There wasn't so much pressure to make every little thing look like a graphic arts masterpiece.

since this blog is relatively ... NEW, compared to the others, i’m  gonna be basing this on my interactions on darkestaken. i’d say that the best memories i’ve got roleplay-wise are with @infernalpursuit​ ’s characters in general. gio and i make it a habit to make our characters bond with each other, and i love it so, so much.

i also have to speak about leche // @felidaecantus​ because they now achieved the rank of: bestie. jokes aside -- what we’ve built between sho and streli over the years, them developping and ?? forming a FAMILY ??? the interactions between streli, sho and silver ??? bangers my dudes.

✉ :  On average, how long does it take you to write a reply that you’re pleased with ?

that reeeeally depends on if my partner’s answer is something i had predicted or not. sometimes i get so invested, before my partner can even reply i already have a few scenarios in mind to use -- and if i CAN use them, then i just dive right in and feel satisfied. doesn’t mean that the opposite also isn’t true !!

but in general i wing it !! makes it spontaneous, just like what my character(s) are going through.

UHM MY LAST THREAD WITH @pridepoisoned​ HELLO ??? their jupiter is SUCH a delight and that thread between her and jin was so, soooo much fun !!! i actually didn’t had THAT much fun in a really long time ?? i can’t explain it, but it made me feel kinda nostalgic, in a way ! it was great.

if I’m keeping characterization on track and believable. there are a lot of muses here and that’s part of why I have the detailed bios, so I can read them and remember key points. yall think they’re for u but they’re for me 8) and then when I start cutting up canon and tossing it, that’s another worry. I guess it’s silly but especially when I do that I wonder if other will think I’m completely ruining the character

ummm it’s taken me a while but you know, I really do like my style in general. for a while I worried I was too short but I don’t want to add things I feel unnecessary, and I’m not one for a lot of purple prose type writing myself. I let my writing expand when I feel it needs it - like emotional moments or similar - but otherwise I feel my style is more concise and I like that

✍ : Offer 3-5 tips on how to get other role players started on interacting with your muse.

oh man... one would be to maybe read my rules page and about and verses page to get an idea, another would be to send me asks! if your muse has questions or wants to know something asks are fun!, another would be meme's! they help break the ice! another way would be for the mun to reach out and talk to me about any ideas you have I find it's easier to write with someone who says hey lets do something. And lastly would just be like a starter call or write a starter!

✉ : On average, how long does it take you to write a reply that you’re pleased with?

probably anywhere from 30 minutes to maybe a day or two it depends on how into the thread I am at the moment and the amount of muse I have. I try to get my replies out quickly and at times its like I just write it all out and send it because that's what I'm pleased with.

✔ : What drew you to the character you currently play? What types of characters are you generally drawn to?

Well... my brain drew me to him? He's actually a character I've written off and on privately. He developed during my prepping for NaNoWriMo and I though perhaps I could flesh him out more with a blog. He also seemed to fit nicely into many verses and what not.

He's different from what I normally play I'd guess as for eleven years I wrote as an MCU Villian and as a mythological being. Most of the characters I write are dark or have some sort of dark past or are loners.

♥ - What’s the absolute best experience you’ve had in RP?

Another notable experience to this day is, well, back when it all started properly-- In this site, that is. My first muse was Aka.gi Shou.hei from [K] Pro.ject. The anime that taught me how to swear (I’m not even kidding. I was so miserable and crying from the death of Tot.suka that I didn’t know how to express it better except by swearing haha). Aside from that, there are such genuine bonds between both muses and muns. The camaraderie is unheard of; we really are pretty much like HOM.RA in a nutshell during the golden days hot daaamn.

But aside from that, I’ve had so many fun and memorable experiences and friends gained from that rp-dom. Most importantly, it made me improve my writing tremendously. Seriously, it went from -100 to 10 HAHAHA. But I’ve never encountered notorious elitists during my time there. In fact, I’m just happy there are senpai figures that have helped me learn and enjoy writing a lot, so it’s why multi-para and novellas are a thing for me to this day. 

And of course, one of the foundations for that is none other than my SOLE senpai (the only senpai I will call senpai because genuine respecc-- I will never stop being doe-eyed over them!!), Newt-sama ( @homra-no-artemis i wuv u!! )! Like, to this day, I still remember all the amazing threads we’ve had, too. 

Back then, I only used to write very bad fanfics, so writing with super awesome people opened my eyes to a world of, well, better writing hehe. A lot of people I wrote there were my role models and contributed to my writing that of course, is still a work in progress. Aren’t we all? :)

☄ - Has roleplay positively affected your life in some ways?

Absolutely! It’s a gateway to many friendships that I still have to this day. I’ve met some I’ve written with (during FB days ok let’s gag together jk) in anime conventions and those were the highlights of my youth! Wow, I’m talking like I’m a geezer now. But I sure feel like one, haha. 

Anyway, as stated in the earlier paragraphs, this hobby helped me improve my writing a lot! Not to mention I also went through a phase where I became into coding and themes, but now ofc, I’m a lazy ass who’s into a cleaner, minimalist theme instead. But the things I’ve learned from graphics and coding to this day is applied thanks to my curiosity from the other folks doing such things. 

And whenever I have times when I feel super extra down, friendos have helped me get out of my slump. I’m someone who jumps back easily, I just need some pep talk lmfaoo. Not to mention it’s just a nice feeling to have online friends who I’ve known for almost a decade? And the promises of meeting each other someday… (Because one of them will happen for sure!! And I can’t wait for it.)

❀ - What is your favorite thing about your current fandom or RP community?

Everyone is really chill, fun and easy to talk to! I’ve just been a slow snail because of work and other matters hence why I couldn’t get into contact with new people I’ve always been interested in writing with. I love everyone’s portrayals, the dedication and love they give to them; how each and every one of them are their own muse indeed. The writing I see on the dash is spectacular as usual. And of course, the shitposts and sharing of headcanons, as well as the interactions I see from those ooc fun things are enjoyable to see! Uhh, who else am I gonna talk about except the lovely sender behind this? Emily, you sweetheart you! I’m so glad and proud we’ve made a universe fit for what looks like different worlds, but it meshes so perfectly. I think this is the first ever crossover ship I’ve had (yep, consulting with my faulty memory, I can confirm) and I’m so invested and I can’t wait for what our future plotting holds for them (more AUs… or maybe gasp!! A thread during their past life! Me @ myself: Prof Oo.bleck vc GENIUS!) 

Aside from that, I cherish you as a friend! And you’re one to keep for years and years to come, okay? So...  At one point I tried joining a role-play group.  Everyone I knew who was a member of said group was what I considered a ‘popular’ roleplayer in the fandom and I thought if I could get in and start writing with all these ‘popular’ RPers some of that ‘popularity’ would trickle down to me.

Believing in trickle-down popularity.  First mistake.

Actually no.  CARING about ‘popularity’ was my first mistake.  Believing in trickle-down effects was my second.

I did get in.  By all accounts, the mods were thrilled to have me.  I should know; they said so.  Repeatedly.  And often.  

And then...  

I’d reply to someone’s in-group open and watch them reply to a half-dozen other people who also replied to that open... but not me.  I’d make an open of my own, and no one would reply.  I’d make another, and get one reply, but when I replied to them nothing else happened.  I reached out to person after person with ideas for threads and heard crickets in response.

Did I mention that out of a group with over two dozen members I was one of only THREE female OCs - and one of those OCs was written by a founding member of the group?

Or that another female OC had quit the group while I was in my probationary period, citing constant anon harassment that mentioned the group by name but that the mods refused to address - in fact, they denied that it could have come from a group member at all?  (I know, I know, I know.  Obvious red flag.  But I could practically taste that ‘popularity’.)

Some time later, when I finally snapped and confronted a mod about the fact that I was being constantly and consistently ignored, I was told I wasn’t ‘making enough of an effort’ and that under no circumstances would said mod tolerate accusations of the group being unfriendly to female muses.  When I pressed the issue, the personal insults began.

So I quit.

And was immediately blacklisted by anyone belonging to the group.  Or so I was told by multiple group members (and my plummeting follower count).

Lesson: Fuck fandom popularity.  Fuck chasing after specific RPers, whether it’s because they’re ‘popular’ or because they write really well or because you really really really adore their take on a muse.  FUCK THAT SHIT.  

Lesson: YOU FIND THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE AND RESPECT YOU AND YOU HOARD THEM LIKE A DRAGON HOARDS GOLD.  You don’t chase after people, because no matter how amazing they may seem, if they’re not interested in you, if they’ve blown off your efforts to interact or don’t even give you the chance to interact at all, then they’re not worth it.  There will always be people who love you and your muse and they deserve a thousand times the attention you were going to waste on someone who didn’t care.

✉ : On average, how long does it take you to write a reply that you’re pleased with?

It varies.  Sometimes I can dash off a few short paragraphs and love them.  Sometimes I can write a reply to the same thread a dozen times and hate every word of it.  I think a lot of it has to do with my mental state and how confident I’m feeling.

✘ : Any head canons you’d like to imply on you character but know they wouldn’t fit?

Not really?  I mean, I think my headcanon that she’s the great niece of a former SSR/SHIELD agent (my OC Victoria) is pretty much the most far-fetched headcanon I have.  I don’t think I really have anything else I’ve seriously wanted to apply but felt I couldn’t.
