Role swap AU [ the what if Chrom was not the prince kind of au]

This au will be the what if the ylisse siblings were not the ruling monarchy. 

First, in my au the siblings will be from dukedom instead, Caemlyn. [failed to mention in my previous post about his mother that the name is nominated by shay @///roseuscrystallum thanks for helping bae <3 !!!!] 

Name: Chrom Caemlyn

Age: 19 [begining of the game]

Nationality: Ylissean

Status: Son of Duke | The Royal guard of Prince Frederick

Class: Mercenary > Hero

Family: Both parents are deceased

            Elder sister Emmeryn

            Younger sister Lissa

Weapon: Falchion, Caemlyn treasure said that it was a gift from the royal family to Caemlyn house, a keepsake of some sort for the family to guard until it is needed. The reasons were vague but nonetheless, the family guarded the sword for years.

Here we go.

So Caemlyn family has been the royal guard of Frederick’s family for generations, as you see I avoid giving a name to Frederick’s family because in a way it is not important ish to the story????

Anyway, so Frederick being older than both Chrom and Lissa, had a hard time cooperating with any royal guards that were assigned to him because of how independent he is. So one day, the two siblings come to check on their sister (probably they are younger Chrom being 13 and Lissa 9) Emmeryn who is the royal advisor and then intruder or something big happen and Chrom is able to fight better than the guards whilst Lissa help in whatever she can, healing and actually knocking people out when Chrom throw them her way xD

Seeing that Frederick was integrated and asks for them to come again under better circumstances. It was Chrom’s job to be his guard but after few more years but Frederick decided to accept him already justify his decision as a mere kid handled the situation better than grown-up adults that were there.

The next day, Chrom followed after Frederick where he went to like his shadow since Emmeryn told him how proud she is. In a way, he is doing his job because it makes his sister happy but after a while, he started to take it more seriously as he saw how just and kind Frederick is. It was rather painful at first, tagging alongside Frederick as he viewed everything so professionally, not letting out a laughter or a smile if it was not needed. Regardless, with time, he managed to soften him up as much as he can and when Lissa joined officially when she was 15, Chrom was 19 but she was already helping and popping whenever they went out on patrol. 

The two siblings acting as the Prince’s royal guard are somehow lenient, unlike their lord. Pretty much they team up to make Frederick wind up from being all serious. However, don’t take their kind nature and easy going attitude deluded you that they won’t skin you alive if you tried to lay a finger on their lord.  

For the finding avatar. he is going to vouch for them and ask Frederick to give them a chance as he gave him a chance to prove himself. Of course, Lissa as well used her sugary talk to persuade him in which the two successfully get Frederick to accept them. 

Chrom is the same Chrom, trains, naps, likes to spar, good food, pies. 

His relationship to Avatar is going to be somehow a little bit different from the main verse relationship because in here, Chrom simply looks up for them whenever they seem to overwork themselves but since he is busy himself with checking and working for Frederick as well as supervise training the new recruits so he won’t have a lot of interaction with them but you know chrom....he will ditch work to nap.  

uuuhh..what else. may add in the future through developing but that’s all for now.

/ / because i am trash. down below a smol rant of amnesia swap au ahahahaha!!!!

so basically, it is a what if roles swapped?   

Going with the current shepherds he has (at the beginning of the game) Chrom presumably goes missing in action. The fight takes place on the border between Ylisse and Plegia so he loses conscious on Plegia’s side and is brought back to Gangrel to be used as a trump card. However, Validar takes Gangrel because the latter wants the prince dead and this ruins the plan Validar has. 

In this verse, I assume avatar is with Validar and is the one who found the unconscious prince (for comedy purposes lmao get it? he is now the one napping? . . . .nevermindme.)

When Chrom wakes up, he does not recall anything. and to make sure he does not know his lineage, Validar puts a curse, illusion on his right arm so he won’t see the brand. (and maybe goes far to burn it. idk hmhmhm to make sure he or no one ever knows.????) 

validar pushes emm who is grieving for her missing brother to hand over the FE which she refuses until he mercilessly sends chrom with avatar to reclaim it to send a panic attack to the exalt. everyone tries to persuade the amnesic prince to come back to his senses but with no valid proof of what they are telling him, he refuses to believe them (plus yaknow validar is good with magic so p much did what he did to aversa alright?) 

probably even goes far to attack emm. although, if he forgot his body did not so he is unable to swing his sword at her, making frederick quickly restrain him but is stopped by avatar and the two run away with the fire emblem / or without it. depend. 

chrom is questioning why he could attack everyone but not her, avatar spills the beans after being touched by emm speech when they were running, something like “please i trust you keep him safe/ please protect my little brother / he is in your care, etc.” 

tbh there could be two ways, either this avatar that made peace with the fact he is going to be grima and went along with the place

or the avatar that will fight this creature.

the outcome can be different to chrom depend on the avatar. if they chose to tell him, then they will help him reclaim his memories back and falchion. if not, he is to be their bodyguard when he is as one with grima. spicy.  

i just need an excuse to get chrom to fight the shepherds hahahaha 

tbh.

this could be after the time skip?? when there is two avatars. chro.m goes missing in action and his memories get altered and now serve under the other avatar.
