Promo - "Tock the Gnome" World Building Wednesday 205 (Gnomevember 2022, thirty!!)

Time for another world building post, dear readers!!

AND Gnomevember challenge complete!! 💕🍄🙌🙌🙌��💕

It has been….. another really long year. Getting to do this drawing event – both the art,and the show(and honestly, having done Orctober too) has meant SO much to me in the face of everything still going on, and everything that’s changed since the pandemic started, and how that’s impacted my artistic output (and some other things that happened in my art-sphere this year). There is so much going on that is out of my control, and I have a tendency to get down onmyselfabout how all of that exterior-stuff impacts my art not only for my own sake, but in service to the fae, and in service to Story, first and foremost.

Which is why the theme this year was Tales – I wanted to take a closer look at how Story moves through us. About the general wonder and magic in that, but hopefully I touched on some finer points, too. And to have a sense of humor about it, and to take a closer look at some choices I’ve made around the way I portray the Gnomes in Tock’s world. Which may not be Story, per se, but IS connected in terms of what we choose to say is Right about Gnomes – or anything – by what we choose to engage with and create. So I feel like a lot of this month, looking at Tales – Big Story – as a theme has been about getting down to that core, underneath surface level details. What’s at the root of what we tell each other about Gnomes – about anything – and how does that manifest outward?

And on that note, technically each of my offerings counted in one way or another, didn’t it? Take that, self-judgementalness!

So, on THAT note, for Tock’s realm, – on this last day of Gnomevember – we are taking a look at the differences in lore/approach to the worship of the goddess Anosmia between the noble class and the working class.
