The words are repeating in her brain over and over again, like a broken record that won't shut the fuck up. Having to look into the same eyes that belonged to her, having to hear this PRETENDER taunt her and degrade her, using her face to commit murder, stealing her life, wearing her clothes, and sleeping in her bed. What else has she done while pretending to be Annie ?

" You know what ! " The shapeshifter said, turning on her heels while heading out the door, a wide grin spreads across her features. " I SAW BUTCHER- not that long ago. Oh, shit... I didn't mention that, did I ? No worries, I'm taking it slow with him being sick and all... BUT I THINK... yeah, the chemistry is absolutely there ! I mean, girl, he is fine. I'm going to fuck him. I'm going to fuck him, and I'm going to make him feel sooo fucking goooooood. Something you could never do-" Annie stands up, admittedly, chains holding her back from ripping off this bitches face when she brought up Butcher. BUT DAMN, she wanted to kill her; she wanted to make her regret messing with the wrong bitch. " You stay the fuck away from him, you bitch, or I'll fucking kill you- I- please. PLEASE ! " The shifter burst out laughing madly, then presented Annie a fake pout, playfully brushing away false tears before bidding her goodbye and leaving her alone once again.

TEARS STREAMED DOWN HER FACE, sobbing uncontrollably, yanking and yanking on the chains with all her strength; the harder she tugged, the more painful it felt, feeling her skin beginning to rip from the pressure of the metal cuffs squeezing around her wrist. No, no, no.... " Fuck ! " Annie shouts out. She yells for help over and over again. But nothing. SHE'S FORGOTTEN. Her friends are enjoying non-messy, depressed Annie. And Butcher... no, he would know, wouldn't he ? Wouldn't he see through the shapeshifter's act ? Then again, he's sick... dying... she wishes he was here, wish he didn't push her away. Wish.... so many wishes.

A-TRAIN EYES DARTING DOWN TO HUGHIE'S OUTSTRETCHED HAND; Hughie was actually forgiving him ? It wasn't a dream; it was real. This is the first time he has ever seen a smile on the other man's face, not forced, not pretend, a real one. And it feels damn good to have said grin directed towards the speedster. He hesitated not once, extending his arm, grasping Hughie's hand with his own, and giving a firm yet gentle shake. " Yeah, a real hero. " A REAL HERO. It's a fresh beginning, a transformed version of himself. He has shed the identity of the old A-Train, who was shackled, devoid of life and freedom, and FILLED with despair. Now, all he clings to is hope. He's INSPIRED by individuals like Hughie, who embody hope and motivation for improvement. To be a hero is not just about being there for others but also about being true to yourself. It's about having compassion and empathy. Without these qualities, you risk becoming like Homelander, a character who uses fear and intimidation to control others, while making a mockery of HOPE.

He might be pushing the boundaries, but the flood of emotions overwhelms him. They've endured unimaginable challenges, and it felt like the only thing to do in that moment. Perhaps... HE CRAVED IT. Because this would be real. Reggie adjusts his hand to a new angle, intertwining their fingers as he pulls Hughie closer to his sturdy frame. He encircles Hughie's body with his other arm, enveloping him in a warm and affectionate embrace while gently patting his back. Their fingers entwined firmly, creating a tangible connection between them. He nestled his chin softly on Hughie's shoulder, his eyes shimmering with emotion, his heart racing with anticipation, as tears flowed, carrying with them the hope for a new beginning." Thank.. " The speedster swallows the lump in his throat, a chuckle escaping; he shakes his head at himself. " ...thank you. I got you, man, you hear me ? " Pulls back enough for his eyes to find Hughie's again; he doesn't make a dash for it, at least. " That's all I ever wanted, but.... somewhere along the way, I lost that part of me. Along with it, I lost the respect of my brother. Lost it, but then you and MM.... man, I wouldn't be who I am now without you. I'm not afraid anymore. I'm not- I'm not that A-Train anymore, fuck that asshole, and fuck Vought and fuck Homelander. If you ever need me, give me a call. I'll come. "

THE WINCE ESCAPES PAST TWIN FLESH initially shocks her; that just came from her ? What the hell happened ? But the pain increases, distracting her mind from what just happened. Annie does her best to push herself off the ground- steady now. Reaching to firmly press a hand over said wound on her side, dark hues darting wildly at the scene before her, her breathing uneven, her body felt like it got hit by a bus.

" Kimiko ! " CALLING OUT almost desperately towards the other supe whose hands are drenched in blood, a body at Kimiko's feet no longer a threat to them. Frown deepening, eyebrows knitting together as she limps over to the other supe with as much speed as possible.

ONE SECOND, HER EYES were glowing BRIGHT NEON YELLOW, her hands BEAMING WITH POWER- left & right. She's never seen her powers reach THE BEYOND till now. It could blind a man if he isn't careful, shooting out her powers one second, and the next, she was taken down-- and the last she saw was Kimiko KILLING this unwanted experiment created by Vought-- a parasite, a mistake.

As she neared Kimiko, she practically leaped at the other woman to gather her into a hug. It was not the usual bear hug, for she was WEAK AND IN PAIN at the moment, but with enough strength to squeeze just enough to remind the other woman she had her. " Oh my god, are you okay ? Hey, look at me, we're okay. We need-- we have to leave, now ! "

hi anon - you sent this a while back, and i'm sorry it took me a bit to get to it!

first things first, thank you so much for the compliment about my sigyn. she's very important to me, and it makes me happy when other people like what i'm doing with her 🧡

and now to tackle your question.

the short answer is that loki is canonically genderfluid, the majority of the partners i have who write loki acknowledge this, and sigyn loves them however they're choosing to present.

but you're getting the longer answer too, because this is important to me.

i don't write with loki's of 'different genders'. i get that not everyone understands the terminology so i'm giving you the benefit of the doubt for that, but while the mcu has only paid (abominably poor) lipservice to loki's gender identity, they are explicitly genderfluid in the comics - and there's also mention of loki shifting between male and female forms in the norse eddas.

other people can do a better job at going into detail on that than i can, and you can see a couple of good compilations of screenshots / panels regarding loki's gender identity here and here. to put it in loki's own words, they don't change their gender, they exist as both, and i think that's an important thing to keep in mind when talking about this.

i'm going to try to focus on this in the context of sigyn and loki's relationship, as that's what you're asking me about. and really what it boils down to, for sigyn, is that loki makes her happy.

my sigyn is demi-panromantic and demi-pansexual, and for her that means she only develops romantic and sexual feelings for someone when she has an emotional connection with them. she falls in love with who loki is as a person. she then finds them incredibly attractive whether they are presenting as masc or femme - and whether they are in their æsir or jötunn forms, though that's a separate thing. no matter what, they are always her loki, and that's what matters to her.
