Spooky Season/Cozy Winter Event

made it to the second event!! my one year anniversary for this blog is actually on the 15th of october but i really didn't have anything planned for it.. so this event will hopefully make up for it!! some general guidelines below so please read them before requesting~

prompts are provided for both events. you do not have to pick a prompt to request! you can come up with your own ideas instead if you have smth specific in mind~

the deadline for requesting for either event is august 31st. please don't send in any requests for it afterwards, it will not be added to the line up! any unfilled slots will be cut from the final set of slots!

any gender for the reader is allowed, ofc. just be warned that if it's more fluffy or if the gender of the reader doesn't directly effect some part of the situation then it unfortunately might come out gn:(

for some fairness and well, more variation, i would like to keep half of the slots paralive and half of them as hypmic!! just so it's not dominated by one or the other.. if you send in a req for a slot that's already been filled (ex. paralive is full and you send in a req for paralive) then it will unfortunately not be counted..

hello angels 🫶🏼 i’ve seen many people coming up with events so i really wanted to get into it while i’ve had the chance! i know this has been an event since i did sunset special but i’ve wanted to do something a bit different this time 💗 since we’re nearly at 300 i would like to say thank you for being generous and i have gathered more moots!!

how does mira work?

you’ll need to dm me your zodiac sign and i’ll give any random idol (the idol won’t have the same zodiac sign as you) and you’ll have to make a moodboard based off of that idol! if you decide to mention me that’s completely optional and make sure to use the hashtags “maya’s event” and “mira ˚୨୧⋆｡˚ ⋆ the event”

what’s the deadline & more?

{1} a game of cats, mice and hearts like ice

synopsis: my lovely gf @bvrdel-mama wanted to mix manga and show chishiya and team them up with my cyberpunk 2020 oc - or rather - a very smart cat meets a very cunning mouse who claims his life as hers.

warnings: canon-typical violence, graphic descriptions of violence, sexual abuse, substance abuse, niragi, literally everything, you name it. this chapter in particular is not that heavy, but be warned.

formatting: it's a glued-together dynamic roleplay, so the replies are separated by ♠♥♦♣, and the dialogues are written like — This. —

statistics: 1,764 words 9,835 characters.

author's note: matrix and i came up with this silly-little-roleplay to help me with the aib brainrot and here we are, 60+ pages in google docs. beware, it's long. so, let's start this journey together, shall we? ♡

Chishiya could sense danger from miles away, be it aggressive players he could avoid - like Niragi, or the dumb ones he could manipulate into getting over traps he didn’t want to trigger himself. He could tell which game arena could have the probability to be diamonds, could read people’s gestures well enough to know if they’re hiding something or straight up cheating. He knew his limits as well, and that’s why he kept coming prepared - in case of inconvenient situations he could de-escalate using a homemade stun gun, for example. He knew whom to show a well-crafted mask of respect.

He quickly picked up that game arenas provided electricity he needed to charge up his little inventions sometimes, batteries running out fast when he wasn’t at The Beach, scanning local surroundings and trying to figure out patterns of arena locations.

He was always one step ahead, had everything planned, calculated every possibility - that's why he was always prepared for the future events.

This time danger came in the form of a woman embraced by Niragi’s arm; Chishiya saw her maybe for the second time. It was obvious he hated Niragi - who at The Beach didn’t - but for someone to be as close to that psychopath? Shuntarō could only laugh about this to himself. That poor creature didn’t know what she's gotten herself into, but it was interesting to see the militant showing off his newly acquired toy around The Beach, posing a threat to anyone who would have laid their eyes on the woman.

She had piercing, cold, grayish-blue eyes and she was clearly a foreigner, but to everyone's surprise, she had the perfect accent and spoke Japanese fluently - better than some natives around The Beach. When around people, she would always spot Chishiya's blonde hair, scanning his posture; she often tilted her head just so slightly, observing him, just like he would observe commotion at parties around the pools.

She didn't avoid partying.

And they never got paired up in the same game.

It was the start of her second week at The Beach when she came triumphantly from seven of diamonds, and although that game was cleared once before, Hatter couldn't resist but to ask her to join the executives. Before that, though, he’s called a meeting.

Ann was already present, her posture relaxed yet her face serious; sitting across from Niragi she couldn't help but to be alert, as the smirking man had carried a machine gun with him at all times. next to Niragi stood Last Boss, balancing himself over his sheathed katana, face as blank as his mind. No thoughts, head empty.

Neither Hatter nor Aguni were present yet, but the chatter has already started. Mira was delighted, smiling widely as she chatted with Kuzuryū about the subject of today's gathering.

— She came back from the game all by herself, — she clasped her hands together, her eyes glimmering with excitement. — Completely unscathed! Could you believe that?

A man next to her, with a completely poker face lacking any emotions, nodded slowly. Keiichi paid attention to Mira's chirping, sure, but he wasn't the one to gossip around until he had his information confirmed - and that could only happen with Hatter's soon-to-be announcement.

Apparently, something that Niragi bragged about, was the way she was thinking. it was him who brought her to The Beach after 6 of hearts - knowing that she completed a „diamonds game” before (not knowing the difficulty). It took some time for participants to cooperate (his gun was very helpful as they refused to listen to fragile female foreigner). What the militant found fascinating was the way she found flaws in the rules and used them to their advantage. To him, it was as she found a bug in a video game and exploited it (and as a video games engineer it was very intriguing to him, how she was thinking out of the box). As a diamonds player himself, he just couldn't let her talent go to waste.

Chishiya noticed her right away, it's the thing they say sometimes - wolf recognizes wolf and it was true this time. Niragi may be an unpredictable psychopath of a person, but he was also extremely smart and chose his partners for games really, really well. Chishiya knew that if he chose the woman she must've been special or at least as cunning as him and Niragi.

After doing a bit of digging he learnt that she cleared a diamonds game, a hearts game and clubs game, which confirmed his suspicions - she was ruthless, could work well under pressure and if needed could cooperate with other people to achieve her goals. Her old life was as much of a mystery as Chishiya himself - he knew she was a stripper, and knew shibari which definitely came pretty handy in some of the games. 

Hatter noticed her too, and shortly after arriving at The Beach she was starting to crawl around the executives. It wasn't unusual that Hatter would invite someone with so little vacancy to his inner circle and it seemed like that was what was going to happen soon. This morning apparently he had an announcement to make and so Chishiya entered their meeting hall with a confident smirk and hands in the pockets of his white hoodie.

Chishiya shrugged at Mira’s words sitting down next to her.

— We all did at some point, didn't we? — he inquired rhetorically.

Chishiya's late appearance wasn't left unnoticed - but it was only when he spoke the rest of the executives got aware of his presence. He's been known to appear and disappear at will, and although he was at The Beach for quite some time now, it was still mildly inconvenient. Sometimes, even if needed, no one could find him.

It's a part of the charm, some would say.

Mira let Shuntarō's comment slide, still as excited as before. She turned her gaze to the blonde, cheeks flushed.

— It was a very difficult game, — she started, like she was about to tell a story; her tone of voice full of suspension, as she leaned close to the table and eyed each person in the room. — A seven of diamonds! — she then exclaimed cheerfully.

Niragi grinned yet again, nodding at Mira's words. The man looked straight at Chishiya, shooting him a cynical smile.

— Maybe there's finally someone as smart as me. — he stated.

Disappearing was a part of his strategy - the less they know about him, the better - he thought, using that to his advantage anytime he could. But sometimes, he would admit, he did that just to make others irritated with him, just a bit. Shuntarō preferred the quiet hum of generators to the general hustle and bustle of the main building.

Chishiya nodded slightly at Mira's comment, like he didn't already know that, and mustered a fake interest in what the unsettling woman said.

— Impressive, you were there? — he asked, leaning in his chair.

He then shot a quick glance to Niragi, and smiled politely - it was an obviously fake smile. Shuntarō despised the guy.

— Well, we'll see, won't we? — he said, crossing his arms on his chest.

There was a sudden change of expression on the resident hearts player's face, as she pouted slightly, her face imitating a child.

— You didn't listen, did you? — Mira exhaled, looking at Chishiya with a bit of irritation in her gaze. — She was the only survivor! Isn't that intriguing you? I thought it could pique your interest.

Chishiya answered, still looking at Niragi. Of course it piqued his interest but what is there in for him to reveal that? Especially in front of the psychopath who already got his hands on her. He shrugged.

— Of course I listen, I just suggest for you to think of the events that may have occurred before she came out of the arena. — he shrugged. — You're smart enough to come up with those, are you not?

The scent of alcohol and the thud of heavy combat boots steps on the floor announced number one and number two's arrival in the meeting room.

Hatter was never seen with his sunglasses off, and it was probably for the better - who would've wanted to see the man with his drunken gaze leading the masses into that falsely proclaimed utopia. He stood at the honorable spot, right in front of the whole wall with cards neatly painted with spray paint. Seven of diamonds was already marked with a huge black X, courtesy of Chishiya.

When the black haired woman opened her mouth to speak again, and Niragi adjusted his rifle in case he had to escalate the situation between him and the blonde, Hatter cleared his throat, smiling. Aguni stood by his side, unfazed.

— You all already know the meaning of this meeting, — he started, leaning on the chair. — Unmei is not only really smart, apparently, but one of her games was already supervised by one of our executives. Niragi thinks she's gonna be a great addition to our organization, as yet another of the militia representatives. And I agree. — he added.

Chishiya glanced at Niragi and then at his rifle. He rolled his eyes smirking assholishly at the new executive's „supervisor” and turned his mildly interested face to Hatter. Underneath the façade he couldn't wait to see what the new girl was about, he couldn't wait to crack into her head and solve her like a puzzle.

Shuntarō scoffed out loud. Militia representative? Those numbnuts wouldn't know which way was left and right if it wasn't for Aguni and the tight leash he keeps on Niragi. He didn't say that out loud, but the thought of yet another cunning person with a gun by her belt did unsettle him a tiny bit. It meant trouble and Chishiya didn't like trouble unless it was caused by him.

— So? Any objections before I bring her in? — Hatter stood up and spread his arms, like he wanted to embrace his precious allies.

Niragi adjusted his machine gun yet again, smirking; he used it as a threat. They disagree, he makes it everyone's problem. No one dared to say no, not risking getting shot. Aguni kept his stance, not pulling the leash on Niragi's metaphorical collar. Seemed like he had already made up his mind.

Mira just watched as Usagi did everything in her power to save Arisu. For a second she wanted to continue the game, she wanted to win, but as they held hands once her illusion had faded, Mira was reminded of someone she tried so hard to forget.

You met during Mira's third game, it was a level 4 clubs. The challenge was easy enough, you would be in pairs and the goal was to cross a labyrinth in an hour. The true issue was the pair should be tied together, and Mira is not a very trusting person, therefore, half an hour was you both arguing over which turn to take. You gave in eventually, but after almost falling in a trap she started to accept your suggestions. You tried talking to her when the game ended but she left in a hurry.

Your next encounter was two games later, this time it was a seven of spades. You were never a hero, finding the whole sacrifice plot a bit annoying, but something about Mira called out to you, hence you taking a bullet for her.

She helped you find a pharmacy and placed you down on the floor to find bandages and alcohol.

You were staring up at her, a bit dizzy because of the blood loss. "You know…I'm bleeding out on the floor."

She didn't even look back before answering. "Yes, that's quite obvious."

You chuckled. "Don't I deserve to know your name before my death?"

She smiled but quickly hid it from you. "You're too dramatic, I'm gonna fix it and you'll be fine." Mira answered, going back to you once she found all that was needed.

The woman gently cleaned your wound, constantly looking at your face to see if you were okay, to which you always gave a smile back. She was bandaging when decided to speak again. "Why did you do it?"

You furrowed your eyebrows, silently asking her to elaborate.

"Why did you jump in? You were lucky that the bullet went in and out, it was stupid."

You laughed, tilting your head before responding. "You saved me, back in the clubs game. I wanted to thank you but you wouldn't talk to me."

She let out a surprised laugh at this, shaking her head. "So, you got shot just because I didn't say hi?"

You nodded with a cheeky smile.

"My name is Mira. And don't do that again."

"I promise."

After these events you stayed together, even during the face cards neither would leave each other's sides. Mira would always claim that she needed a human shield, but at times when it was just the two of you, both would promise to protect and cherish each other.

The other members of the group kept thanking you for slowing down her psychotic nature, you would always laugh. Mira hated it, especially the fact that it was true. Before you she was willing to throw anyone under the bus, her colleagues occasionally being an exception but she wouldn't trust them. After you, the woman would not only help them during the games but would offer advice with no cruel twist. Of course Mira didn't truly change, you just taught her how to appear trustworthy, therefore her ramblings and murder plots were reserved to you only.

Once the face cards began, your group decided to divide in specialties, leaving you and Mira for hearts games. 

The king of hearts was the first, Mira insisted on you sitting back but you would never leave her. It was a hard one considering you wouldn't play just with her. It was collective trust, which rarely works so chaos and serial deaths were the obvious result. At one point it was rumored that only one person was making it out alive, even Mira almost believed in that. However, you never let go of her hand and for that she was forever grateful.

The aftermath was painful, you both were not only covered in blood but still trying to wrap your mind on what happened. You walked back to a safe house nearby for a quick shower and food to prepare for the jack of hearts.

With only one final challenge, you both decided to take the day to breathe. She organized a tea party while you set up the croquet game. She beat you in every round, but would always hug you when you frowned when losing, saying that the act of trying was already a win. When the night fell, you gladly gave her a new haircut and in return she painted a few streaks of your hair red.

The last game was queen of hearts.

The challenge was supposed to be simple, but playing alone would take too much and there was no telling on how long the visa would last. After the queen explained the rules, Mira pulled aside to ask you to wait for her to finish but you insisted on doing it together. "This hearts game is for only one winner, don't be stupid."

You rolled your eyes in annoyance. "Mira, look at it, both of us would finish it in half the time. There's no use in trying alone when the queen almost explicitly stated that the visa wouldn't last."

"I…I just don't want you getting hurt."

You gave her a side smile and pulled her close enough so your foreheads would touch. "I'll be okay, we've won together once, we can do it again."

Mira reluctantly nodded and kissed you before accepting the challenge.

You were both right in the end, the game ended quickly once both were playing but it was meant for just one winner. But this was a hearts game, therefore, for it to be game over, all you had to do was drink the water. One was signed as safe while the other was signed as poison. You knew Mira would never allow you to drink, but she was distracted in arguing with the queen so you removed the signs and gave her the safe water.

"Here, apparently you have to drink for the game to end."

She arched an eyebrow at you and suspiciously looked at the queen, who highlighted that everything was explained, including the content of the glasses.

Mira accepted the glass you were offering and took careful sips before drinking it all. When you drank it, the queen congratulated and sat back on her chair waiting. 

You pulled Mira to a corner and sat on the floor. She followed you and rested her head on your shoulder. "I suppose you were right."

You gave her a sad smile. "I'm sorry."

She raised her head, giving you a confused look. "For what?"

"I broke my promise."

It took her a minute to fully understand. At first Mira asked you to stop lying, then she hugged you and reassured you she could fix it. She also did try to kill the queen but you held her back, the game master boringly said that it would be like falling asleep and there was no need for such panic. This time you allowed Mira to throw something at her.

Though the queen wasn't lying, you started to slip in and out of consciousness. Mira kept talking to you, kept saying she could fix it, that it would be okay.

You felt weak, your body was slowly shutting down but you still smiled at her. "It's okay, I'm glad you won."

She shook her head trying to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall. "No no no no, we can find a way, we both can win, please we can win, please."

It was truly like falling asleep, she held you as the laser killed the queen, she held you when she accepted to become a citizen, and she cried.

A tear slipped Mira's eye as she saw her own final game in them. So she finished it, for you. Mira did what she wished someone had done for you, she saved them, she let there be two winners.

"I had a feeling so peculiar, this pain wouldn't be for evermore."

This untitled fic follows the same events as Last Breath except from Brennan's POV... Not sure if I'll ever post it, it's just an idea lingering in my brain. If RY gives us more Brennan content in Onyx Storm I'll probably start this!

Oh man this one... it's a drabble I have drafted from Brennans POV from when he wakes up after the Battle of Aretia and realizes Naolin's gone!

Thank you so much for the kind comment about chapter 4! I am a sucker for these two, that scene of them in the basement of Basgiath was a favorite of mine to write. It's hard for me not to want to jump the gun and write the romance now-- but the slowburn will be worth it! Spicy Summer/Pride Event

this is the first event for this blog~ i hope it goes well/you enjoy it! the guidelines are very loose and there's really no rules, i'd like the event to be pretty laid back... but there are just a few guidelines that i'll list below~

the pride part of this event will be more free flow. you may req any sort of pride scenario or headcanons! there's no specific prompts for you to pick from, i'd like to see your ideas♡ if i decline your req then sadly i was unable to write it.

the spicy summer portion has a bunch of prompts but you do not have to pick from these prompts! if you have a summer-y prompt that you would prefer to request instead, go right ahead~

The Ocelli Goggles (named after the eyes typically found in spiders)are an amazing gadget for spies like agent Tarantula. With its 8 panels it displays information with ADHD friendly formatting (the first few letters of each Word are in bold to Keep the attention of the reader) and they display live information relevant to the situation.

Everything from Intel on targets to pinpointing weak spots in both objects and people. Operator Castro says its the only Artificial Intelligence she tolerates, cant say I blame them.

This gadget is thoroughly thought around Jericos personality and desicion making skills. I expected nothing less from a gift by Aurelia Arnot before her retirement.

Grace is in awe of the programming,and Taina seems quite pleased with its working.

"Jerico was born to a less than healthy family in the middle class of Argentina. She excelled in information recalling and learning,seeing as her favorite subjects were history,language,english And sociology. Shes also quite adept at writing and researching,given she had to write a small research paper for her last year of highschool,thing she is still proud of to this day. Clearly,those kinds of skills transfer to her current job.

It was during her highschool years (more appropriately,during summer break) when she met operator Seamus "Sledge" Cowden. Her family rented out an appartment to Him and his Friends,one say he comforted her after a specially nasty fight with her grandmother. Seamus made it his life's mission to get her out of there.

Sledge befriended Jericos family and won their trust to the Point she was able to travel with him to Scotland. Eventually her family took her in,and hes been looking out for her Wether that is by paying for her life in Argentina so she can study film alongside being a spy, or out in the field when they work together.

My predecesor,Aurelia,Had allowed for this to happen. She saw great promise in Tarantula,However she didnt want the young girl to miss out on her life so she hired her as a "part time recon". She still is to this day,though some rules have changed given recent events.

She is inseparable with Sledge,and she keeps joking she'll make a movie when she has her degree in Film and Animation. Personally,i cant wait for when it comes out. "

》Psycological Profile《

"Jerico has presented a maturity for her age,despite being early twenties it seemed that her less than pleaseant past,her turbulent relationshipp with parents and bullying during her formative Years have made her an insightful young woman thats begining to discover the joy of simply being inmature and playful. Shes done this mostly with the help of her Friends and loved ones,which im thankful for.

Shes also quick on her feet, demonstrated by how often in our conversations I find her cracking jokes and making comments that would have even the most serious of the operators laughing. She is charismatic and intelligent,with pattern recognition skills that have amazed me. I suspect this is because of her undiagnosed ADHD.

We've yet to make a proper test,but she doesnt present the innatentive type. Her need to do things right have tempered her impulsiveness,though shes unsure if those impulses are because of her ADHD or just the age that behaviour presented itself. (Mid teens,a common time for these kinds of things to happen). She describes her ADHD as more obssesive, she has told me about her hyperfixations, her Rejection Senstive Dysphoria and strong emotions that shes learnt to control.

She also presents issues with her anger,shes described to me that she doesnt lash out but rather swallow her anger as to resolve things in a civil manner. Though shes still unsure what to do with all the anger shes been storing,she tells me she sees her anger as a wolf,biting at its cage and waiting to be Released. She uses this anger as fuel and only allows the "wolf" to come out when somebody hurts her loved ones.

However, Tarantula has told me that doing aerial dance has helped her with that so it might be the way to go for a healthy outlet. Im sure her Many artistic hobbies also contribute to her wellbeing.

Ive also noticed her high sensitivity to emotions and her altruistic nature. No wonder she gets along with Gustave "Doc" Kateb,however I suspect theres a lot more there given how she describes their interactions.

But this sensitivity feeds into her strict moral compass,shes unable to see unfairness and corruption. A true punk at heart. Though she has accepted the irony in her punk identity and her job. Shes unsure how to reconcile the two, but she cant choose one or the other- Not for a love of the army but those she met through it.

She is,simply,quite unique. Rainbow is lucky to have her,and so is everyone who meets her,including me♡

"Jerico is simply a good operator. She is thorough,she gets things done and though she can be a bit bull headed and defiant,its always in a healthy dose. Ghost Eyes is about defiance and asking questions.

She is a free thinker, often doesnt allow people to fill her head with ideas. (I suspect it comes from her past, but its not my place to talk) She likes to form her own opinions on people and situations. One prime example is her relationshipp with Fenrir and her trust in him,After she got to know him better.

She went from distrustful to dating the guy,so I guess that helps with his reputation and its as good an indicator as any that our redeemed operator is not a threat.

As her callsign indicates(originally given the nickname Queen Tarantula by a friend back in Buenos Aires) shes a master at weaving information and researching. She is an invaluable asset.

The one thing ill complain about is her proclivity to sneak off during work hours to find her Many lovers across base. She can go unnoticed when she wants to,and sometimes she uses it for less than professional goals.

But its something we'll have to live with,Ghost Eyes and Rainbow wouldnt be the same without her. "
