Looking for a companion/cult leader associate/king for Kaeleeana ( Tag / Bio ) . Plot inspired in an original lore from midsommar roots to a bene gesserit spirit, in modern times/near future. Transhumanism/dune coded core.
Kaeleena Nara, Mother Supreme of the Church and Sisterhood of Misericorde. The time has changed and so did the world. Now, forces are colliding. She raises daughters, mutated humans of great abilities with the purpose of making the world theirs. A cult, some would ask? A family, she would answer. The sisters of the Sisterhood of Misericorde then find their way to the arms of powerful men, human men, to bare their child and extend their reach. She too, the Mother Supreme, seeks such a partner—but not just any man. Only the strongest, the most formidable of all. He will be her equal, a reflection of the power she wields. A partnership. Should they take the world in their own hands together now? With what he is capable of, what she is capable of as well, if a war between humans and mutants arise, they shall win.

I also promise to cherish and love you through this union of ours." Her intense eyes lock with his, a silent challenge in their depths, burning with the weight of her words.
He smirks, his fingers gripping her chin as he tilts her head toward him. "Is such a sadistic, cold heart of yours even capable of love?" he murmurs, his tone dripping with dark amusement.
Kaeleena's lips curve into a wicked smile. "Doesn't that make us perfect for each other, my Sovereign of Terror?" she replies, her voice velvet.

I was talking to someone I got a t.mkz ship over on discord about how Tomoya's vision might have given Kazuha nightmares with constant vivid hallucinations of them. This idea coming from the Childe flashbacks the traveler gets when keeping his vision. Kazuha going through something similar, having dreams of their last moments BEFORE the duel, even old memories that the two shared. A constant reminder of the friend he lost and seeing everything replay every night yet he won't let go of their vision no matter how much this affects his mental health. We did add to the mix the thought of hallucinations haunting him. A mix of his poor mental health + depriving himself from sleep to the fear of the nightmares + immense guilt. Something similar to this comic. This concept is something I want to add to my portrayal or even play around with those close to Tomo if they ever get to their grave and touch their vision.

Sometime in the future (and I don't mean after this mission, I mean potentially months/years ahead when I've established Lark a little more soundly) I'd like to go for a more high-stakes plot.
Lark is definitely the type to get himself kidnapped while investigating an evil team.
I mean, I call that higher stakes. It would not actually be out of keeping with the tone of the official ranger games. In Shadows of Almia, a character being captured or held hostage happens like 5 times. Characters (whether rangers, villains or others) being tied in ropes "a smidgeon on the tight side" is legitimately a running joke repeated multiple times across multiple ranger games.

Hello my dear readers,
WE DID IT! After a few weeks of wait and talks, I can finally announce that Scales of Justice has been officially accepted for publication, both on Hosted Games and on Steam! The current publication date is set for January 2025; however, if that changes, I will update you with new information.

I am so, so grateful to everyone who has been here for me during these past 3 years. What began as a shy attempt at dreaming has grown into a marvelous project that taught me so much, brought me so many new experiences and skills, and is going to end with my first publication as an author. I cannot be more grateful and excited. I hope this is only the beginning of an amazing journey.
I am currently finishing my degree and working on preparing for the release; however, I will soon be posting a little more of my thoughts about future projects (including SoJ 2), continuing Torn Page, and being a bit more active around here. Until then, please, spread the word, and let's celebrate this together! ^^
DEMO DESCRIPTION:
Scales of Justice is a fantasy story that takes place in a world afar – a place called Therania. Albeit there was some interaction between Therania and other worlds a long time ago, now it’s solely a tale from their lost past… or, at least, that is the most common belief. Regardless, this story does not focus on extraterrestrial connections: its plot revolves around the people of Therania and their lives, their history and – what’s more important – their ‘determined’ future.
There are plenty of species living together in Therania, yet the human race is currently split in two: the one known as Hero kingdom, which is ruled by ‘heroes’, and the one named Vannais kingdom, controlled by ‘villains’. Both nations hate each other - here, the fight of ‘good’ and ‘evil’ is something that happens on a national level. The game is focused on lore, character development, and the player's choices: perhaps, your MC just wants to live a peaceful life... or maybe they want to save the world.
Or even rule it, if you’re into such things.
THINGS TO DO IN THIS DEMO:
Set off on a new adventure towards Neutral Lands, to meet a mythic creature of all answers - The Visionary.
Play as a woman, man, or non-binary - straight, gay, or asexual.
Gather up to 3 companions to help you in your quest - befriend, romance, or rival them, the choice is yours.

Fight, conjure, support, speak or think - choose your way of handling a tricky situation.
Explore the kingdom of Hero up to Menai's shores, in search for someone - or something - to aid you in your journey.
The DEMO version of the book runs up to Chapter 5 and contains 276K words overall.

RO DESCRIPTIONS:
Shoren/Seile → Heir to the Hero kingdom’s throne, right where your journey starts. Also, your old friend who’s very attached to you. Likes to read and practices magic, enjoys adventure and heroic deeds. A recognised “hero”, with blonde curly hair, pale skin and a pair of sapphire eyes.
Robert/Reina → Order’s Paladin, defender of Hero and Knight of Fate. Brave and honourable, determined to protect the people of the kingdom. Very loyal to friends and very dangerous as an enemy. Has short brown hair, tanned skin and an athletic build.
Valerius/Venis → An Outworlder caught by cultists in the Wicked Woods. Gracious, elegant and charismatic. Has long dark brown hair with a silver streak, olive skin and golden eyes.
Arion/Aria → Leader of Vannais, a recognised “villain” who escaped from Hero and now rules the enemy kingdom. Serious but temperamental. Prefers action over words and so, is always present on battlefields and amidst negotiations, even if in an unofficial manner. Has short blonde hair, pale skin and emerald eyes.

Nonkul and Bright's experience in queer media prior to I Feel You Linger In The Air
So... I've fallen down the huge rabbit hole that is I Feel You Linger In The Air (even though I was already down bad earlier this year when I finished the novels) since the airing of the series. I've tried my best to consume everything translated IFYLITA-related content and now I'm here to summarize a few points I love about the (immaculate) casting of Nonkul and Bright.
For Nonkul
Prior to IFYLITA, Nonkul has had a few BL-adjacent projects:
2014 indie gay film "Love's Coming", where he plays a friend of the gay protagonist.
2016 sitcom series "Bang Rak Soi 9/1", where he plays a student with a crush on his straight best friend (main character played by Tongtong, who you may have known from To Sir With Love or Khun Chai)
2019 chinese bromance "Dive", where he plays the 2nd main lead who develops "strong friendship" with the protagonist as swimming teammates
But IFYLITA marks Nonkul's first time playing in a BL series where he is the protagonist.
Back in 2021, Nonkul posted this Q&A video on Facebook, where he answered the question "If you have a chance, would you consider playing in a BL series? If accepted, who do you to co-act with?". To which Nonkul went on a full long discussion on how he doesn't view BL as a genre and talks about what kind of role he would want to play (full clip below).

If that series is an interesting storyline for me, I am always open to any kind of genre. I never categorized BL series as an BL series, I just think of it as a series with another plot as part of my work. It is a normal series that can have any of the plots which I will categorize as Romantic Comedy, Drama or whatever. Thus, when I choose the BL series I want to work with, the love preference of the character does not affect my decision. If the plot of the series is interesting, of course I'm gonna do it for sure. Every work that I chose, I personally think it at least enjoyable for me. Of course, if in the future, there are BL series with plots that I find interesting, that I enjoyed the script. "Like, wow, that's my type!", I will definitely selected it to be my future project. A good written series is a good series. This is what I believe as an actor. - Nonkul
For BL Series, I think I can work with everyone. I don't think I have anyone in particular. One thing! I desire the character of that person/actor? to be close to the character in the series. At that point I will be satisfied. Sometimes, I as an actor have a chance to work with people who didn't have a lot of acting experience. I will still discover something new from him as well. And there is a BL novel which I really like! [Nonkul explains the plot of his favorite BL Novel 'Peremo'] I would prefer to choose the "heroine" role because it will be a new experience for me as an actor because it will be a new experience for me as an actor. Because basically I only play as a hero role for the main character or support character in my work, but a "heroine" role in a BL series is the only chance for me to play a character more feminine. So it is a new experience for me. [Nonkul continues raving about 'Peremo']. But if you think that you can make [an adaptation of Peremo], please do not forget me, Nonkul! Pleaseeeeeeee, I will do my best, I promise!!! However, I'm not only fixated on this novel. I'm also open for many more BL series if there is an interesting plot. - Nonkul
Interestingly the 3 checklists Nonkul mentioned his dream BL novel/character 'Peremo' had was 1. playing the 'heroine' role; 2. it has a LOT of action; 3. it is also sci-fi fantasy genre. And then in 2022, Nonkul booked 2 action dramas and IFYLITA which checked off criteria 1 and 3 of his wishlist (he mentioned it in this interview).
In 2022, at the beginning of IFYLITA announcement event, Nonkul mentioned that one of reasons that he accepted to play Jom in IFYLITA is that the story didn’t just put love scenes in just for fan services. Previously he had rejected some series because of that.

Nonkul read the novel prior to the acceptance of the role and you can tell he put a lot of care into bringing Jom to life (Nonkul immediately tweeting his apology after the pilot trailer is out about him accidentally using right hand to sketch (because Jom is left-handed), discussing various novel details with fans of the book at event, discussing how to punch Ohm like Jom would instead of punching him regularly as he would in other series, even giving book-film comparison commentaries in the BTS of the episodes)
Nonkul's physical and facial features are also so similar to Jom in the novel, especially his Chinese heritage is taken into account by the casting directors (Jom is also Thai of Chinese heritage iirc). Honestly kudos to P'Tee and co for snatching Nonkul.

For Bright
Prior to IFYLITA, Bright has played a supporting male gay character in the CH3 Lakorn 'Rivalry' and starred in PP Krit's MV 'It's Okay Not To Be Alright'.

But IFYLITA still marks Bright's first ever male lead role (ngl I was quite shocked when I found out about this because like the man is SIGNED to CH3, what are they doing?) AND his first official "BL" series.

Bright also accept the role of Khun Yai after he went to buy the novel and read them.
Before filming, Bright practiced a lot to portrayed Khun Yai as close to the novel as possible (the way Khun Yai walks with hands behind his back, his posture, him speaking in the different local dialect...)
Here are some translated interview questions Nonkul and Bright did before filming IFYLITA for bangkokbiznews that I found really interesting and want to share (original Thai article) (translated by twitter user lingerair/eugust)
Question: How is your individual characters? How are they similar or different from you? (1)
Nonkul: Jom and I are very different. Jom has soft and sensitive part. He cried so many times, and often gets upset with things that if it's me, I wouldn't be upset like him but his tears is already flowing. Bright: Khun Yai is quite similar with me. He's calm and wise. It's easy to be Khun Yai when I read the script. I try to put myself as Khun Yai. I'm Khun Yai and Khun Yai is me. I always think like this to be able to moderately act as Khun Yai.
Question: BL series has become a powerful "soft power". What do you about this? (2)
Nonkul: To be honest, whatever entertainment media it is, I view all of them as soft power but can't deny that during this period foreigners are especially interested in Thai Y series. I think it's a good thing. In the end, no matter what kind of content they are interested, it's a pleasant thing. Bright: Bright agrees (to that) very much. There are so many BL series with many fans both in and outside of the country, thus I think that it's good quality soft power in presenting a lot of things. Such as "I Feel You Linger In The Air" has a lot of Thai culture incorporated it in. Nonkul: Since it's period (series), it won't look like we're forcing Thai culture into (the series). We want foreigners to learn about how was it during the era and how it affects the present.
Question: This novel has a lot of fans waiting, do you feel pressured in taking a role in this? (3)
Nonkul: There's a little bit of pressure but personally, when I've worked till this point, I'm kinda used to this. I can say that I already have some expectations (for myself) and receive some pressures as a motivation in working but I'm not that stressed by it. Bright: Similar to Non, I'm a little bit pressured but we will both do our best, everyone will do their best. Fans has expectations because they want to watch the adaptation. We'll do it in our way and we hope everyone'll likes it.
As a huge fan of the novel, I just love how much love Nonkul and Bright have for the original novel and the amount "homework", care and dedication they have to crafting their characters to be as close as possible. I really hope everyone who have reservation or hesitance watching I Feel You Linger In The Air because you didn't vibe with previous Dee Hup House’s productions, should still give IFYLITA a chance (or at least try watching Episode 6 & 7) because it is seriously unlike any previous DHH’s productions (in all aspects: plot, direction, pacing, cinematography, music, lighting, color-grading, overall production…)

We’re so thrilled to have another game from the author of Battlemage: Magic by Mail. Tell our readers about Magehunter and how its setting and characters relate to Battlemage.
Although it’s a standalone story, Magehunter takes place a few generations after Battlemage, but in the same kingdom. Knights and squires are a thing of the past, and the Kingdom of Jubai is undergoing a technological revolution due to the discovery of slipflame, a powerful new energy source. The most important difference is the oppressive rule of the mage class. The monarchy of Jubai is long gone, and Archmage Nylund and his mage council have ruled for decades. All these changes can be traced back to a war with battlemages—the events of which make up the plot of Battlemage. Of course, Battlemage has multiple endings, so the details of that war and its aftermath are unclear to the characters of Magehunter. The history has faded into legend, and it’s up to the player to uncover those legends if they so choose. As far as characters, I won’t give any spoilers but I will say there are Easter eggs to be found if you’re willing to look!
I’m especially excited about indirect sequels like this one, that let the players steep themselves in a familiar but new world. What inspired the shift to the future in Magehunter?
I honestly just wanted to write a world with alternate technology, but something unique from, say, steampunk. I was also inspired by the really interesting magic system in Foundryside, a trilogy in which a thiefy main character can change the properties of objects around her by arguing with the rules of the physical world. It’s a fascinating mix of hacking and magic, and there’s a bit of that in the “magic” system of my world in the form of Brutal Flame. I also love the classic Thief games, and I think The Metal Age is an amazing example of narrative design with its fantasy technology in the form of robots and surveillance cameras set in a medieval world. The inspiration of Thief on the dark fantasy setting of Magehunter is obvious from the start. Finally, in Battlemage, I wanted to bend the rules of the fantasy genre because I was always bothered by the hegemonic Britishness of the genre rules. With Magehunter, I wanted to continue that trend and lean toward my comfort genre of science fiction while maintaining the court politics of Jubai. Going to the future also gave me even more distance from the “thees” and “thous” of high fantasy language. I think more contemporary language helps with the fun, adventurous tone I’m looking for. All of these elements just clicked together while I was working on the ending of Battlemage, where the player’s actions literally become legend. I thought, why not build on that legend with another adventure?
Was there an NPC you particularly liked writing?
Honestly, it changed throughout the project. At first, I didn’t really like Gael or Embla, two fellow hunters, but I was determined to write characters outside my personal preferences to give players a variety of friends and romance options. By the end, I really fell in love with them and their respective arcs, and as a result, they are now probably the most fleshed-out characters in the game. Gael is hard to get along with in the beginning, but befriending him can lead the player on an entirely different, slightly nerdy adventure. And Embla is just a sweetheart. She can be a bit cheesy and saccharine at first, but hers quickly becomes one of the more valid viewpoints for the struggles of a divided world (in my opinion, anyway). On the other hand, I liked writing the mage apprentice Frey because his motivations are uncomplicated, but he’s deeper than most of the characters give him credit for. I also liked Rio, the self-declared people’s hero, for being an outlet of gender expression (for me and hopefully for the player too) in a world that’s much freer than our own society. Oddly, Xiaoxi, another fellow hunter, started out as my no-brainer favorite but by the end that was no longer the case—although she definitely redeems herself if you make the right choices.
Players will have a really enjoyable power mechanic in this game. Tell us a little about slipflame.
Slipflame comes in three forms, and it can do anything from manipulating the physical properties of objects (Brutal Flame), to siphoning essence from a living being (Living Flame), to sneakier things like tricking the mind (Silent Flame). The uses of slipflame are really only limited by the player’s slipflame supply. I try to add a unique mechanic to every game I make—it was the combat system in Battlemage, and in this game it’s the slipflame reservoir, which is a pool of slipflame that depletes with each use. But players shouldn’t try to hoard slipflame either, since it recharges over time due to the conduits throughout the city. Slipflame is a public good, and it’s used for everything from lighting up the city to powering small gadgets that citizens use. As useful as it is, mages won’t touch it because its network is maintained by the hunters—a sort of resistance movement/organized crime syndicate that is in a constant power struggle with the mage regime. Since the player is a hunter themselves, they get to enjoy the full power of slipflame, and its different forms allow for play styles that are big and explosive, supportive and peaceful, or cunning and stealthy.

childhood friends because your muse trained at the horikoshi estate, since the horikoshi clan has a very long history of swordsmen and fighters, and people often come there to train in their estate. also possibly? childhood rivals while your muse was staying in anmatsuri.
FRIENDS OR LOVERS TO ENEMIES... i just need the angst of that situation so bad...
your muse and kira being on the same adventuring party together.
ARRANGED MARRIAGE BUT SOME KIND OF DISPUTE HAPPENS AND SUDDENLY THEY FIND THEMSELVES ON OPPOSING SIDES?? and the next time they meet, they're no longer lovers, but instead enemies…
kinda similar to the last one but i'm really interested in writing rivals stuff. academic rivals, family rivals, rivals based on their profession, etc. i just know kira would love the competition with someone.
something revolving around kira traveling as a single mom with her apprentice, solace, and meeting your muse. and maybe them helping ki hide solace from the people who are hunting him?
things in her wisteria shop verse! in which kira owns a magic shop somewhere in a seaside town where her ravens deliver her packages for her and her building is never without the birds perching along the roof.
i've been having brainrot for hero / vigilante stuff, so imagine fake marriage / relationship for the same of an alibi plot, wherein both muses have secret identities but one mission led them to finding out each other's secrets and said mission also needed them to have an alibi because they were almost caught. they needed to improvise and just said they were married and it worked so they've been stuck like that ever since. maybe real things develop, maybe they do a messy public divorce, who knows 🤔

more stuff for ki's vigilante verses, but i'd loooove something revolving around knowing each other when they were younger (especially in kira's verses where she was basically alone as a kid and fighting to get by) and then meeting again years later. i just looove the idea of that being their established past and that being the foundation of their future interactions -> reunions, revelations, and seeing how each other has changed after everything that's happened to them since they last saw each other and GRRRRRRRR
ok last for the hero stuff but your muse and kira on opposite sides of a fight but it's a star-crossed lovers or friends kind of thing. maybe ex-friends or ex-allies, lovers on different sides. but also what if like, frenemies in the sense that they team up together only when necessary.
i need to write more things revolving around kira's wings, honestly. her allowing your muse to touch them, or wrapping her wings around them while they need warmth, etc.
PLOTS WHERE SHE LETS YOU SEE HER SCARS... she turns off the glamour that's on her constantly, allowing them to see what she usually hides on her skin.
CRIME AU'S! the horikoshi clan being a criminal family / gang who owns a club called the wisteria den. it’s believed that the eldest son, matsuko, runs things while the second son, ashitaka, is a feared assassin known as the beheading serpent. the youngest and only daughter is known as an “angel” amongst her family. kira is just known as someone who can be found in the lounge singing ever so often, when in fact it’s Kira who really runs things in the horikoshi clan and is ruthless behind her feigned innocence. kira projecting this angel like persona but becomes ruthless the moment she turns it off. imagine her wearing all white to play the part but by the end of the night the dress is covered in red….

Last Twilight Finale Thoughts
Had to go back to my clown checkpoint from ep 10, which I originally wrote in response to a conversation between @lurkingshan and @my-rose-tinted-glasses! How did the Last Twilight finale stack against my wishlist?
We got 6/8:
Mork opens that $@#&&#&# glove compartment (ie finally process his grief around Rung)

Mork has workplace satisfaction and stability (ie we get something on canon to show that he's not afraid of being fired at any moment, and enjoys his new career) ['m counting the way he's shown trying out new recipes after the second timeskip towards this]
Day making plans for his future and acting towards them (enrolling in university or courses of some kind, most likely)--this is necessary whether or not he can see in future
Day's mom unclenches (we see her proactively stepping away from controlling Day's life)
We get Day's mom's perspective on what happened with Day's dad [honestly at this point this is a nice to have]
Night is perceived and happy (by Porjai most likely but I'm flexible)
Porjai feels safe and cared for (by Night most likely but I'm flexible)
And yet I was unsatisfied by this episode. Why? Because it did so many other things that I didn't even think I'd have to guard against in my wishlist, and the execution of what we did get was muddled!
I'm so mad about the glove compartment. They mentioned that thing at least three times, it was teased that Rung used it a lot and kept all kinds of stuff in there, and the last time it was mentioned, we heard that it had been fixed, and yet. AND YET. The glove compartment stayed closed and unseen.
This is how I feel about all of the important growth that happened for these characters. Mork's processing his grief for Rung, Day's building his life as a blind person (including using his cane), Day's mom moving past her internalized ableism, Mork learning how to be a partner rather than a caretaker, Day's father realizing he needs to be a better dad, Day and Mork learning how to navigate their social class difference in their relationship; we didn't really get to see any of that. We were just told it had been fixed now, off screen, like the glove compartment.
We did get to see the brothers reconcile and work on being brothers again, I will give the show that.
Also just to say, wow this aged poorly (from the same post linked above, written after ep10):
Mork, in contrast to Day's mother, has always been interested in encouraging Day to learn independence from him, even though Mork's situation in Day's life is potentially so much more precarious than Day's mom is.
I'll say the same thing I said after the ep 11 fight--it isn't the plot points themselves in the latter part of this series I have a problem with, it's how they've been executed. Characters don't feel consistent, what the show tells us happened doesn't seem to reflect what we saw in the show itself, and what the show says is important is then retconned or not addressed.
TL;DR even though the finale hit the bulk of my wishlist it still fumbled the execution and so I found it unsatisfying despite giving me most of what I asked for.

Amadeus will be participating in Steam Next Fest. Look forward to streams of dedicated gameplay footage on June 10 & June 15.

100 Wishlists Celebration (recap):
As thanks for all of the support here and elsewhere, I made a custom webpage to host a multimedia version of the Amadeus demo soundtrack. I've also updated the BandCamp OST album to include the new demo tracks and new art.

Development Updates:
Focusing back on Amadeus after last month's Mystery Jam sidequest, I accomplished quite a lot this month.
Art - 1 new point-and-click background + research/sketches for 3 more
Build - 1 new scene built in Unity, also created a template so all future scenes can be built from it easily
Mechanics - Implemented text pauses in all existing scenes, created hotkey to warp cursor to inspectable objects
Music - new music! one dynamic 3-layer track mastered, one track to be mixed this week, one track at sketch phase
Marketing - made press kit and 100 wishlists celebration updates to OST album

II. Details, Previews, & Teasers
New Background Art
In the full game, you will briefly explore Dartmaure before heading to the manor. I received feedback from the demo that it could use a little more grounding/introduction when you start controlling Amadeus. I agree; I also have a few more plot hooks I'd like to introduce in this new scene.
One important thing I learned about my own workflow while finishing up the demo is that I was not able to truly write the point-and-click scenes until I had a finished design for the background. The process of designing detailed backgrounds involves a lot of research, research which is itself a form of writing, research that forces me to answer questions I hadn't considered before. So I made sure to start on some new backgrounds much earlier than I did when working on the demo.
I'll likely need to draw at least one more screen for this point-and-click segment, but I finished the first, which feels very good:

Once this was ready I scanned it and started building the gameplay scene it'll be used for. I also decided to make my life easier, and after creating a functional skeleton of a scene with all core mechanics implemented, I made a copy of that to serve as a raw template for future use. All scenes I need to make from here on out can be easily built from that copy. Hooray for not reinventing the wheel every time I need to make a new scene!
(The other art I've been working on is for the very next scene that takes place after the demo ends... within the watchtower. No spoilers for that!)
Dynamic Text Mechanic
One major mechanic missing from Amadeus in the published demo was the ability to pause text mid-scroll for dramatic effect/pacing/"breathing" after punctuation. This is a pretty fundamental visual novel mechanic and it was a priority to add for the full game. It now exists, and I've implemented it in all existing scenes!
I recorded some footage of the intro scene to demonstrate what it looks like. Please note that the actual timing and placement of these pauses is subject to change; at the time of recording I was just really excited to show it off as soon as I had it working.

(Here's a little behind-the-scenes intel for you: the way this works is it interprets the character "<" as a brief pause. Then I just insert as many as I need for the length to feel right! One after commas,< two after periods. << Three after major punctuation!<<< And sometimes<<<<<<< a bunch in the middle of text for drama.)

The pause length is a multiplier of your current text scroll speed, so if you are a faster reader the pause will also be faster (and vice versa). From testing, it "feels" correct to me that way.
This mechanic was much easier to implement than I feared. I'm really happy with it, and I think it adds a lot of character to the writing.
Cursor Warp Mechanic
One of my other priorities for the full episode was to make it playable using the keyboard only. In the published demo, the core game can be completed with just the keyboard, but there are some "inspectable" objects (those indicated with the eye icon, that Amadeus comments on from far away) that you need to hover on with a mouse to interact with.
I've just finished building a mechanic that lets you use a hotkey--currently "i" but subject to change--to warp your cursor over the next item on a list of inspectable objects in the current scene. Then you can press space to interact with it as usual. I am debating whether or not to also have this cycle through all objects that can be reached with WASD movement, but for the moment I'm only using it for the objects you inspect from afar.
This mechanic has not yet been tested on other platforms. I'm hoping to get it in front of playtesters next month to iron out any issues with it.
New Music Tracks
Here's a teaser of a new dynamic track I'm working on for the full game! Like the music that plays while exploring the graveyard and watchtower area in the demo, this piece has 3 distinct layers to it that will fade in at certain gameplay moments. I've done more polishing work on the mix since I made this teaser, and I'm so excited about how it's coming:

The music that will play in downtown Dartmaure is also about 80% done (I should finish a preliminary mix later this week), and I've sketched out the very start of one more really cool piece that will be used later in the episode. I'll share more snippets of the new audio as the release draws closer~
That's a wrap for this month! It was definitely the right call to take a "break" last month and focus on the Mystery Game Jam. Coming back to Amadeus after that break has been very rewarding. I'm incredibly motivated.

all jokes aside, i honestly do have way too many wishes when it comes to what i want to see from GMMTV and most of them are very hyperspecific, so instead of giving you just an endless list of whatever random ideas or pairings i’d like to get (which is maybe more appropriate for a bingo card or something like that), i kinda condensed it all into some more general categories (sort of. a couple fo these are still pretty specific ;;;;;;;;)
anyway, here we go!!!!
1. WOMEN. literally my top wish after anything jimmysea related is MORE. WOMEN. like srsly give me viewjune as the main pairing in a GL!!!!!!!! give me sizzy in any combination!!!!!!!! give me women centring shows where the women actually get treated as the main characters!!!!!!!! give me the GL version of series like only friends and we are where the women get to be silly and nasty!!!!!!!!! give me jamie kissing women as a treat to me specifically!!!!!!!!! GIVE. ME. WOMEN.
2. historical QL. after the success of i feel you linger in the air and with both idolfactory and domundi working on releasing historical QLs in the near future, i think it’s about time GMMTV also gives us a proper one. possibly with no time travel or reincarnation involved, for once
3. plot driven QL. this is kinda tied to my wish for an actual slow burn and partly to the following point as well, but i do desperately wish we could get a QL series where the romance is obviously still there, but it’s not the main focus of the show, or at least not the only one. something like manner of death or triage, where the romance just happens along the way as the story unfolds. i think the closest GMMTV got to it was with not me, but it would be nice to get more, even if i know this is not everyone’s cup of tea
4. some variety please for the love of god. look, i know we’re never gonna get rid of school settings and office romances, so it’s pointless to wish to have none of those, but i do desperately need a bit more diversity. of the fifteen series announced in part 1, seven of them are set in school. SEVEN. that’s basically half of the offer they’re giving. and okay, if we consider only the QL shows then the ratio is better (3 out of 9), but still. give me thriller shows, give me horror shows, give me fantasy shows, give me sci-fi shows, give me jobs that aren’t just office workers or chefs, give me mystery, give me crime, give me cashiers and doctors and detectives and firefighters and taxi drivers and teachers and librarians and waiters and bartenders and mechanics and lawyers and flight attendants and therapists and farmers and hairdressers and reporters, JUST!!!!!!!!! explore something new!!!!!!!! take some risks!!!!!!!! i know GMMTV as a company is not as big as we think it is and that it focuses on teens and new generation audiences, but i don’t think younger people want to see students and office workers exclusively……
5. QL exploring other sexualities and gender identities. just give me ace main characters, trans main characters, non-binary main characters, ALL THE DIFFERENT QUEER MAIN CHARACTERS!!!!!!!
6. pepper/papang/guy/podd in any combination as a main pairing in a QL. love and light to all the rookies but if GMMTV doesn’t give these men some main roles im gonna start committing grand scale larceny to cope

okay so i have been thinking a lil about furina lately and how, even though i love her dearly and want to write her always, for me she is a tricky muse to throw into a situation or dynamic without any kind of plotting whatsoever. so i wanted to make a wishlist of sorts to help guide interactions with her~
obviously i crave post-AQ interactions, though there are some caveats to this seeing as i am very much of the belief that furina shouldn't and wouldn't want to be any part of any future form of government over fontaine. i also do not think she holds the kind of popularity within fontaine that she did prior to her trial and that, no matter what kind of explanation is publicly given for the thwarting of the prophecy, she is still a polarising figure in some circles. so i'm here for exploring director furina and her return to the stage in her SQ, as well as how her dynamics with other fontaine characters might change post-trial ( for those in the know and those who are not. please do not hold your muses back in this regard, fontainians are allowed to dislike her post archon quest ), but she will no longer involve herself publicly in any political stuff. privately, however? she has a great deal of experience and is an asset.
and this doesn't just mean for fontaine; furina offering expertise ( whether accidentally or otherwise ) to other nations, particularly those that have faced recent upheaval like inazuma or sumeru is very interesting to me. furina's not perfect by any means, but she does have five hundred years of experience in ruling a relatively stable nation under her belt. she knows how to manage appearances and how to be loved and adored by her people.
pre-AQ i am very much down for too! i wanna explore how furina hoodwinked an entire nation for five hundred years, i want to explore her cult of celebrity, her time on the stage, the critics of her blasé attitude towards trials at the opera epiclese ( hi navia, hi lyney ), her diva tendencies, her governing style and the work she actually did for fontaine aside from the prophecy stuff. i don't just want to write the uncertain post-AQ furina figuring things out, but the confident version of her who ruled fontaine for all that time and is sometimes incredibly unlikeable.
i also want people to get close to the truth. this is a tricky one because she kept up that facade for five hundred years and the only person who could and nearly got it out of her was the traveler, who is noted to be from another world. but arlecchino got incredibly close to figuring it out, plus it's rp so why can't we rewrite the AQ from an alternative perspective and push things a little?
shipping is suuuch an incredibly low priority for me ( though, as always, i will never say never ). i don't really ship any of her fanon pairings but even without the romantic aspect i want people trying to get close to this girl and seeing just how much of a struggle it is. try to get close to a girl who has lived behind a mask for five centuries. do it. i dare you.
visiting other nations! whether this is furina seeing the rest of teyvat post-AQ or matters of diplomacy between nations pre-AQ, i want them all. i do also think that any reputation she had outside of fontaine would have been less damaged by Events so distancing herself physically by visiting other places ( such as when she goes to chenyu vale during lantern rite ) makes plenty of sense for her.

so i’m only at the midnight sun arc sooo this is everything im thinking to do up until that point
- so far to me it looks like no one actually knows the true story about what happened with the elves so i want at least one or two people to know about it!! (high key think julius knows ngl)
- when it comes to magic , i’m thinking about being one those rare types of people who can have magic from every class (fire, air, water etc.) bc why not

while I can't foresee any plots yet where Alastor would have an actual child (though not totally writing it off for the future, depending on the writing partner), I would love to play something where he becomes a reluctant but effective mentor or guardian figure to a younger character. He's absolutely not what one might imagine a mentor to be - he takes unorthodox paths, gives sometimes off-the-wall advice, and will almost always default to recommending violence and manipulation. but for the right character, it will absolutely give them a leg up and proper leverage in whatever their goals are. and I can see him growing attached like that - but also struggling to cope with that attachment as he comes to terms with it in a painful manner. also great fodder for him to put himself in danger's way to keep that individual safe. up to and including actual sacrifice which could be super interesting. ANYWAY. just adding that to my wishlist I guess LOL. it has to be the right character though - he wouldn't take just anyone under his wing. it depends on the potential he sees in them and what other ulterior motives he might have that guide him down that path to begin with. MAYBE SOMEDAY.
