“you still released it, even though you’re alone.” hotch hummed to himself, continuing to search you up. single. never married. no kids. doesn’t party much. still went out skating constantly. said in an interview you were ‘still caught in the whirlwind romance of high school’. caught in the ‘betrayal of it all’. you really were the sk8ergirl, weren’t you?

what would you do if hotch reached out? you had left a business email on your website - it would take a fool for you not to recognize aaron’s email address. you weren’t a fool.

would you be upset at the man for so recklessly reaching out? angry that after all these years he finally wanted to talk after he was the one who cut contact?

or would you be happy? so happy you’d want to meet him?

“hotchner.” you smiled, not making eye contact and instead staring down at your coffee.

“hi-“ he suddenly was at a loss for words. what do you say to the person you betrayed? “i’m sorry, for what i did to you back then.”

“don’t go there. don’t bring that up now, aaron. i’ve moved on. i’ve accepted it. you were supposed to be different… we were supposed to be different, but we weren’t.” you sighed, taking in the disheveled male before you. had he not been sleeping? working too much? not going home? he looked like hell.

“but you wrote those songs-“

“i’m a musician, aaron, it’s my job.” you groaned, rolling your eyes and you slumped down in your seat. “honestly, are you that surprised i wrote music about my life? aren’t you some fbi big shot now? didn’t you see it coming?”

“i never thought- what you wrote was disrespectful. to both me and my wife. i’m here to tell you that.”

you let out a choked laugh, eyes wide in disbelief. “that’s what you’ve come here to say? pathetic honestly.”

aaron went stiff, for some reason fueled by rage. you released a diss-track about him yet you were calling him pathetic? “you can’t always be the victim! you should know that.”

you let out a fake gasp, feigning hurt. “big bad aaron hotchner got his feelings hurt? poor baby.” you teased him, grinning ear to ear.

you were enjoying this - making him squirm. you were happy you were getting under his skin.

“i’m sorry- is that what you want me to say? because i’m sorry.” aaron pleaded, eyes wide.

“no, aaron, you hurt me. you hurt me in ways i can’t even begin to explain.” you spat back, anger filling your eyes as you stared across the table at the male. “i don’t know how i feel, and i do not ever want to know what it is.”

“tell me how i hurt you and i’ll fix it. i’ll do anything!”

“for four years you made me believe you loved me, but you didn’t. and keeping a love in which is not meant to be yours hurts worse more anything else out there. and there is no fixing that pain.”

you were right. of course you were. everything you had said so far was right. so why was he so upset?

“did you just forget everything we shared?” aaron mumbled, eyebrows furrowed as he tried to understand himself. he had no right to be upset, and he knew that.

“forgetting you, aaron, was easy - forgetting the memories is the hardest part. sometimes, i still hear your voice ringing through my head like a broken record i am unable to turn off.”

why was he so upset? you had every right to move on after the years of pain he put you through. yet he was still so upset.

“i remember everything you said to me as if i will stop breathing if i even try to forget. that is not fair to me aaron.”

yet, you didn’t stop there. you kept speaking, so clearly angry and hurt by the males disrespect. “i wish with every fiber of my being i was what you wanted, because you were my every wish come true.”

you are everything he wanted, couldn’t you see that? the distressed look on his face, the hurt in his eyes, the downturn of his lips?

“i’m sorry.” was all he could manage to get out, unsure of what would set you off on another angry tangent or what would appease your anger.

“when you say ‘sorry’ it just hurts more… it was me who trusted you, it was me who gave you my heart, it was me who thought we would work out. but trust is such a nasty thing.”

“you’re right but- but don’t you miss it? miss us? because i do- all i have of you is memories. flashbacks that jolt me awake as i reach out for you. the songs we sang together that i listen to daily. i made a mistake, all those years ago. now i’m trying to fix it, so please, let me.”

“i hate the flashbacks. i hate the memories. i hate the songs we used to sing. i hate it all because it reminds me of you.” you grunted, standing up slightly as you went to leave.

you were done with him and his petty begging. the aaron hotchner you knew, you loved, left you that december night. cold, alone, confused. this wasn’t your aaron hotchner anymore. you lost him the same night he lost you.

“i miss you- i miss us. im miserable now, is that what you wanted to hear? i want you back.”

“i don’t miss you, i just miss the feeling i had when i was with you. you’re married now, aaron.” you paused slightly, testing out your next words in your head before speaking. “just like all good songs, we’ve come to an end - but this song will forever be my favorite. goodbye, aaron.”

and with that, you were gone. aaron had lost you like the leaves on a tree, like the petals on a flower, like the warmth of summer during the winter.

Pas De Deux by hatsuna sakuatsu sakusas a dancer, very touch and germ adversed, one night hes practicing in a private gym room when atsumu very loudly invades the rest of his life, sakusa slowly learns to get used to it. very well written lol the fic is like a piece of art itself as it follows sakusa inner monologues about how to go about this disruption (19k wds)

that's what you get (for waking up in vegas) by skittidyne matsuhana as the title suggests, mshn wake up in vegas, very hungover due to the previous night of being blackout drunk, they spend the rest of the day trying to figure out what happened and why tf mshn have matching wedding rings. iwaoi are there too bc we love seijoh4 antics (4.2k wds)

the jacket you never returned by daisuga made me very sad :') bokuto got amnesia and doesnt remember him or akaashi ever dating (or being gay for that matter) despite everyone telling him about it and akaashi basically has to sit back and painfully watch bo live his life with other people and it made me SAD (5k wds)

the galaxy is endless (i thought we were too) by cosmogony is a pretty popular kuroken fic where kuroo has a terminal illness and um kenma kinda just has to watch him go through it. Im ngl i didnt feel sad reading this like most ppl did idk why but fair warning bc this seems to have the same effect on ppl as ial did lol (31k wds)

Even Though it All Went Wrong by plumtrees i think this is a pretty famous matsuhana one, hanamaki gets this terminal illness like his mom and its basically one of those fics where we just watch through mattsun's eyes as makki gets worse and worse and theres nothing he can do to stop it. very good fic despite me crying for like 75% of it while reading lmfao (9k wds) Why Am I Here? (and the whole 5pt collection) by reginagalaxia the first one is mainly iwaoi but the whole collection is kinda daisuga and iwaoi, starts with sugawara trying to indirectly set iwa up with oikawa the yoga instructor and kinda goes on from there with the usual scheming suga, embarrassed daichi, annoying oikawa and grumpy iwaizumi. kinda cringe sometimes but overall very cute mhm (14k, 1.2k, 2k, 6k, and 2k)

Mannequin Men by surveycorpsjean this is actually the first hq fic i ever read. dont ask lol. this is basically just p*rn with a small helping of plot lol its bokuakakurotsuki (bokuto/akaashi/kuroo/tsukishima) ive been hesitant to add it to the list but ehh why not. theyre all fashion models akaashis the newbie. oikawas there too, i mean everyone is but yk. it was actually pretty good lol i honestly dont remember how it ended bc its been like a year but i had a pretty good time reading it so. i also liked the iwaoi subplot but no spoilers here hee (76k wds)

Pretty much based in the we say we’re friends world, (yes, again😤 I love their dynamic I’m sorry) you only need to know that Y/N is a musician by profession, wrote the JATP soundtrack, a childhood friend of Charlie and now his current girlfriend.

The couple is completely excited because today they have their first interviews after the confirmation of the second season of Julie and The Phantoms, and usually they are not on the same interview team so this is new. Charlie always does them with the band and the singer usually does them with director Kenny Ortega representing the people behind the scenes.

“Hello everyone, I’m Charlie Gillespie and I play Luke in Julie And The Phantoms.”

“And I’m Y/N Y/L and I play Daniela in Stardust.”

“Baby, you are here today as the songwriter of the album.”

“Thank you so much Maria, If I can be myself here it is thanks to the beautiful atmosphere that your interviews always have.”

“My pleasure, ‘golden star’. Let’s continue. Y/N, We know you already knew Charlie, but who did you get along with better from the rest of the cast?”

“Oh my, definitely Owen. He was Charlie's roommate throughout the project so we hang out together a lot in our free time taking turns as third wheel. I'm pretty sure he's going to apply the same card to me this second season now that I'm gonna be the roommate.

But it’s okay, I totally deserve it. May the best third wheel win, Joyner!” Charlie grins and does a fistbump with his girlfriend who looks really hyped about going back to Canada with the band.

“I’m rooting for you, girl! Let’s go back to Charlie a little bit. The album that Y/N wrote is a resounding success and a very important piece for the series to be as brilliant as they are. I imagine that the four of you have a special affection for the album, but how do you feel that your girlfriend was the one who wrote a soundtrack of that level for such a special project in your career?”

Charlie looks so proud. He looks at her in a way that makes the young woman blush.

“I’m just so blessed that the things happened they way they did. She’s the love of my life, you know? I couldn't be more proud to sing her songs. She has always been insanely talented and nothing gives me more happiness that knowing she gets to do what she loves and is able to share it with the world.”

The singer's eyes water and she puts her head on the actor's shoulder, who kisses her hair sweetly.

“You two are so pure and so cute to watch, I have a new favorite celebrity couple.”

They continue the interview for a few more minutes and then they have to move on to the second section, in which they are handed some boards with the most searched questions on the internet regarding them.

“Okay guys, introduce yourselves again. I’m not going to be in the segment this time so you’ll have to help each other.”

Both agree without confessing that they have seen videos of this segment until 5 in the morning when they have nothing to do the next day and have sleepovers.

“Hi, we are Charlie Gillespie and Y/N Y/L and will be doing the wired-autocomplete interview today!”

“Okay handsome, let’s start with yours.” Charlie smiles and takes the sign in his hands, while his girlfriend removes the first tape and reveals the first question.

“Does Charlie Gillespie have a girlfriend?” Charlie smiles proudly and kisses his girls nose.

“I do, and she’s so adorable.” He touches gently her cheek and she closes her eyes at his touch.

He gives her a light kiss in the forehead and then uncovers the next question.

“What is Charlie Gillespie like in real life.”

“I’ll answer this one, Char’s a total goofball. He is cheerful, funny, always full of energy, talented, caring, and really, really hot. All done, next question!”

He laughs while blushing and reveals the next one. “Is Charlie Gillespie married?”

“Well I tried but someone ate the ring.”

“I would do it again, it was really good. Answering the question, he is not yet, but he is taking too long, maybe one of these days I will declare myself.”

He opens his eyes wide, he knows very well that his girlfriend is capable of doing it, and honestly he wants to be who does it, so he makes a mental note to prepare everything soon. Thank god he is working on the rings already.

“It’s Y/N still dating...”

“If the question says Ross Lynch I’m goin’ to lose it. No shade though, man.”

She laughs, after the James Larkin show, a lot of people showed anger as they felt that she was a much better match with the blonde, and Charlie couldn't help but feel a bit offended.

“...Charlie Gillespie! Yes, baby!” Both high five, Charlie looks almost relieved, is adorable.

“The answer is always yes folks, get use to it.”

“Who is Y/N’s best friend?”

“Well, this one is easy.” She turns to see Charlie and gives him a flirtatious little smile. He blushes and reaches out to kiss her, but she answers the question just before their lips touch.

“Ross Lynch.” She leans over and presses her lips against his for a few seconds as Charlie reacts to her response and then gapes in disbelief.

“You did nOT.” He laughs and and wrinkles his nose feigning annoyance.

“Yes I dID. But to be honest, has to be this man right here. Not a lot people know this but we’ve been best friends all our lives, so yeah. You baby, of course.” He blushes and kisses her hand, clearly happy with the answer.

“Is Y/N going to be in Julie And The Phantoms S2?”

“Will you?” He asks, genuinely curious. She never tells him what Kenny secretly confesses her about the project so as not to be unfair to the other members of the band.

“I will, but probably still back the scenes, guys. I'm really enjoying this part and learning from the best of the best so I am very happy not to be in front of the camera for now.”

“And you are doing an amazing work, love.” She grins and kisses his cheek.

“Thank you for watching us being ridiculously corny for 30 minutes, don't forget to watch Julie and the Phantoms Season 2 only on Netflix! I feel sorry for that poor people that will have to see how cheesy we are.”

“We were still recording Y/N, but never mind. The editing team has a lot of work ahead.”

“Well, damn. I’m sorry guys!” Charlie laughs for the thousandth time today. There is nothing better in life than sharing your days with your best friend. He can't wait to formalize that ‘forever’.

Ater seeing Skam for the first time last week and loving Esak so deeply esp Tarjei off camera being funny, young at heart,heart eyes for Henrik,to me when reading in an interview Tarjei saying he's 'done so much since Skam,it seems long ago' etc like you were saying T acting more serious as hes around by older people esp as only being 18 when he met his gf who was a 26! Ah, yes, I remember that feeling. Or wait, I still get that feeling every time I see an Evak gif - just this huge, goofy grin on my face because they’re just so bloody sweet and I want an aquarium full of little Evaks swimming around being their adorable selves, and... umm... where was I...?

Well, I do think (or at least hope) that Henrik will keep on doing fan events because he seems to really enjoy them and is also really very good at them. (And Henrik hugs are the best kind of hugs, so... let’s keep those fan events coming, please!! 🙏🏻 *crosses fingers that the infinity con will happen next summer*)

And... ah, yes, the glory days... Oh, god, the fan theories. The dropping whatever you were doing because a new clip was up. And if I ever see another traffic light, I’ll scream. (If you know, you know...)

But there are still all the amazing fan art and fan fic to enjoy if you’re into those things (for such a small fandom we do have some amazing gif makers/artists/writers - all the love to the creators past and present! 💜💜) And there are some pretty nifty videos from some of Tarjei’s performances (insert shameless selfpromo here) to enjoy as well.
