kids meme + felix & maxine
send me a pair name and I’ll tell you what I think it would be like if they had a child.
Name:
Aurora Franziska Van Helsing, o nomezinho alemão óbvio.
Tumblr media
Gender:
Feminino.
General Appearance:
Who they like better:
Gosta dos dois, mas dependendo do quê tem preferência de qual pai ir atrás; quando precisa de permissão pra alguma loucura (seja festas, viagens ou qualquer coisa assim) é pra Maxine que corre, mas pra se livrar de broncas ou conseguir as coisa vai atrás do Felix.
Who they take after more:
Faceclaim:
Madison Iseman.

John Paul Comes Clean...
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (19th-23rd April 2021)
Hollyoaks kicked off its latest whodunnit this week as George was found dead (for real, this time). As the week began, John Paul decided to ignore Sally’s warnings and went house hunting with George. However, after a run in with James and Ste resulted in George turning on John Paul again, John Paul ended up kissing Ste and spending the night on his sofa. John Paul returned home the following morning and lied to George about where he’d been, saying that he’d slept in a hotel after their argument. Unfortunately, George didn’t believe John Paul and his suspicions were proved correct when he phoned the hotel, only to be told that they’d been closed for refurbishment since October. George confronted John Paul, resulting in yet another argument, and George stormed out. Later, at work, George confided in a colleague, making it look like he was the one being gaslighted, before texting John Paul to tell him he needed space.
Tumblr media
The following day, George’s colleague turned up at The Dog and informed John Paul that George had been killed whilst dealing with an altercation between four men. John Paul was left devastated by the news but, as he later looked through some of George’s belongings, he looked up to find the man himself standing in front of him holding an engagement ring! George revealed that he’d asked his colleague to fake his death in a bid to show John Paul how strong they were together. Of course, John Paul was horrified by George’s actions, despite George protesting that John Paul’s grief proved how much he loved him. John Paul decided to accept George’s proposal and the pair celebrated with a family gathering at The Dog. However, when James and Ste arrived, George was left furious when James revealed that John Paul had been with Ste earlier in the week. Eventually, George told John Paul that he would forgive him on the condition that he severed all ties with James and Ste, telling Ste that he would report him for sexual assault against John Paul if he objected. With his history, John Paul was disgusted that George would stoop so low and John Paul hit George, just as Sally and Theresa arrived. Having finally had enough, John Paul told his family about the months of torment he’d been subjected to. The McQeen’s were furious following John Paul’s revelation whilst George made plans to leave the village. However, as he waited for his taxi, he was attacked from behind by an unknown assailant...
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Trish was raging this week when she discovered that her takings had been stolen. After witnessing her accusing Leah, Ste revealed to Fergus that he was the thief and filled him in about his money worries. Fergus soon had a proposition for Ste and offered to buy the Lomax’s home and then rent it back to them for a reasonable rate. After talking it through with Leela, Ste agreed to proceed, much to the annoyance of James, who didn’t think it was a good idea. James was right to be worried as we later saw Fergus watching Peri via a hidden camera he’d placed in her bedroom, which he’d accessed under the guise of checking for a gas leak. The next day, Peri was delighted to receive a bikini, which she assumed was a gift from Juliet. However, when Juliet denied all knowledge, Peri was furious and blamed Warren, knowing that he’d visited the flat earlier in the day. Warren was forced to cover for Fergus when Fergus informed everyone that the bikini had actually been a gift for Maxine from Warren and it had been left it at the flat by mistake. Peri seemed to accept the explanation and when she’d gone, Warren demanded money from Fergus in exchange for his silence. However, instead of giving him the cash, Fergus booked a table for Warren and Maxine at a fancy restaurant....
Tumblr media
In other news this week, Martine told her family that she needed to have a biopsy whilst Mandy was devastated when Ella refused to see her. Sid decided that he’d like to become a police officer and was delighted when Courtney arranged for him to speak with DS Cohen to discuss his future. In fact, he was so thrilled that he kissed Courtney! Finally, Tony decided that Nancy and Darren should get back together and arranged a surprise date.

SOULMATES & SILVER LININGS: ZANIES & FOOLS EDITION Soul Mate: A person who is perfectly suited to another; Someone with whom you share a deep personal understanding... I’ve always been the type to have a very strong affinity for my friends. Early on, my life experience has always proven itself to be a great example of the catchphrase “God gave us friends to make up for our relatives.” And I’ve always believed that if you’re able cultivate and maintain even just a handful of close, genuine friendships...then life and all its hardships will be just a little bit easier to suffer through. Now queue, Le Coterie De Shamy; Former members of the underclass, vagrants, vagabonds, rogues, free-spirits, oddities, mavericks, young tramps. Besties and Soulmates. And I’m going to single out one EDP in particular for a moment here; Swift Wind AKA Tyga. (EDP: A term used in the medical field & law enforcement as a way to describe a mentally ill or temporarily deranged person.) There was definitely an immediate connection between Swift Wind and I the day that we met. From what I can remember, we instantly bonded over a Spider-Man throw blanket of mine that she wanted to jack. I thought to myself, “Awww! She likes cartoons and she’s a thief like me...” And we’ve been like two dummy peas in a pod ever since. It did not take us long before we were able to develop our own, very equestrian dialect. We can be semi absent from each other lives for months at a time, barely even speaking on the phone; but when we finally do link up, it’s like we haven’t skipped a beat. We love and accept each other for who we are and our friendship enhances each other’s lives. And the catalyst for this insane pairing was none other than: homelessness. So Boom, Check it: Roughly a year after graduating from college, I found myself smack dab in the middle of destitution; broke, a victim of familial identity theft (when a relative steals your identity for their financial gain), and homeless. Now just for clarification: A homeless person is any individual who lacks permanent housing; in all its manifestations. So this includes those living in a shelter, mission, vehicle, abandoned building, or on the street; in addition to those who are forced to crash with a series of friends or extended family members provisionally. That was my life for about 3 years. Except in my experience I’d have to substitute the “street” for those rare nights spent on a fast food restaurant bathroom; and the abandoned building for a closet sized illegal sublet, brimming with mice, Jurassic Park sized insects and dope fiends resting in the stairwell... Shelter Process Overview: Everyone is initially corralled at the assessment shelter for The People Under The Stairs (AKA staff) to sift through our information and categorize us as one of the following: 1. A family/pregnant mom 2. A victim of domestic violence 3. Mentally ill/physically disabled 4. Or general population This process is supposed to take only a fortnight but you know it never does. Mine took one month & my cousin’s took about 3.5 months. Once labeled as something, you are then transferred to your permanent shelter where the buck is now passed to your new batch caseworkers to finally get you “placed.” And here is where history is made. Swift Wind and I meet for the first time; and the tomfoolery ensues. “My Name Is Not Susan’s Cottage” was what we lovingly dubbed this hellhole. And at THAT time, it was considered to be the upper echelon of shelters. Most of the staff from the directors and caseworkers to the program aides (PAs) and security, were actually quite nice. Instead of those dry, prepackaged meals offered to clients at most other shelters, we were served cooked meals prepared everyday by the kitchen staff. There was a clinic in the front & a “living room” in the back. And the PAs took great care in making sure that the place didn’t get infested with any bedbug plagues. Shelter Life Snapshot: Lights on at 6am; with breakfast starting shortly after. Kicked out of the dorms by 9am; unless you were a disabled client assigned to the “medically frail wing” where you were given the full day to rest. Lunch in the mess hall at 12pm. Dinner with dorms reopened at 5pm. Curfew at 10pm with bed check shortly thereafter. And finally lights out at 11pm. This was our life for about a year and change. In the end, Swift Wind got placed around St. Patty’s Day, and I around Christmas of 2011. And we were the lucky ones, because we knew of a lot of women that were left waiting for housing for 2, sometimes up to 3 years. It was a perfectly wretched experience and I could not have imagined going through something like that without her and the rest of our motley crew. The skylarkery we encountered during our derelict years was truly next level; what with all of the drunk apparitions, possessed hookers, bubble guppies, squirrel monkeys, Jumanji zombies, aquatic conundrums, wounded Rodeo Drive animal shenanigans and Goya’s Ghost. And in betwixt our terrible jobs, sleepless nights, hospitalizations and trifling ass housing interviews, we always found new ways to lift each other’s spirits. Because the Shamy Brigade is the silver lining. So while all of our other seasonal relationships and superficial friendships eventually fall by the wayside, the Shamy Bunch stands strong. And we take comfort in knowing that we’re all bred from the same crop of crazy. And I know I can always count on Swift Wind in particular, to understand exactly where I’m coming from in any given situation. Swift Wind is the Amy Farrah Fowler to my Sheldon Cooper, the Jane Lane to my Daria Morgendorffer, The Lieutenant Dan To My Forrest Gump, the Khadijah James to my Maxine Shaw, the Wreck It Ralph to my Fix It Felix, the Chibi Usa to my Hotaru Tomoe, the Kim Chi to my Naomi Smalls and the Bea Arthur to my Rue McClanahan. Swift Wind likes to say in reference to our friendship “We found love in a homeless place.” Well I’m here to tell you...truer words have never been spoken.

slightly angstier ship meme + felix/max
send me a ship and i’ll tell you:
who is more likely to get injured doing small tasks
a maxine, apesar de tudo ela consegue ser bem atrapalhada às vezes, principalmente quando ela fica muito animada ou muito triste.
Tumblr media
who worries more about the other
a max se preocupa bastante com o felix, mas acho que no fim ele que se preocupa mais (let’s be honest: ela dá motivo pra isso).
who is more afraid about the other leaving them
maxine, ela sempre tem o pensamento de que ele pode encontrar alguém melhor a qualquer momento. alguém que os pais dele aprovem, alguém que combine mais com o modo que ele cresceu, etc, etc.
who is more likely to leave (for any reason)
de novo a max kkkkkk, mas ela é muito impulsiva e na maioria das vezes faz as coisas sem pensar e ir embora seria facilmente uma dessas.
who is more likely to drunkenly confess
os dois kjdghkdfjg, não sei mas eu consigo ver ambos fazendo isso, dependendo da situação.
who is more likely to push the other away (for any reason)
a max provavelmente, por causa daquelas inseguranças todas etc etc.
who picks fights more often
nenhum deles? os dois são bem chill e eu acho que eles, ao contrário de alguns aí, são um casal que usam da comunicação.
who usually apologizes first
o felix, hahaha, a max é meio cabeça dura às vezes e ela demora mais pra se conformar e ir pedir desculpa.
who is more likely to withhold their feelings for the other
os dois, porque são bestas e praticamente fizeram isso, né, achando que não eram correspondidos.
who is more likely to lash out at the other
olha, poderia ser a maxine porque ela é impulsiva e tudo mais, porém ela não costuma guardar tanto as coisas pra ela, então não teria um motivo pra explodir e jogar tudo na cara de uma vez só - então, acho que o felix.
who gets more jealous
hmmmmm, a max.
who is more likely to support the other in a relationship with someone else “as long as they’re happy”:
kk................... o felix, de um jeito ele meio que quase fez isso.

@fleabsg sent: “I keep telling them we’re not dating, but they keep telling me friends don’t normally make out when drunk.” + felix & maxine
Tumblr media
“Then maybe we just invented a whole new friendship level. Ever thought about that?” Tentou brincar, o sorriso que anunciava problema aparecendo em seu rosto, enquanto apoiava a cabeça no ombro dele. Mas ele não riu, e Max amaldiçoou mentalmente. “Well, now you’re looking like a real Van Helsing. All dark and moody.” Estralando a língua, voltou a sua posição normal, vendo que talvez não conseguiria fugir da conversa.
“That’s all?”  Suspirando fundo, se virou totalmente para ele, o encarando. “Do you really wanna date me? I mean, look at me.” “I could go all Jughead now, and tell you how weird am I and how I don’t fit in, but you already know it. I was the crazy girl who asked you for german lessons! I’m the black sheep, the wrong Walker.” Felix balançou a cabeça negativamente, como se não desse a mínima - e no fundo torceu para que fosse isso mesmo. “Look, we both know you could do better! Like, Catherine Huntington or Evie Beaumont better! And that’s it’s not me saying, your mom is gonna say it, your dad, Henrik probably, everybody!” Tentar colocar a culpa nos outros ao invés de admitir para si mesma que gostava dele parecia algo muito inteligente na sua cabeça.
“Fuck you, Max. You know I don’t care about all of this.” O jeito com que ele falou realmente a fez acreditar, e seu coração acelerou. “I know, it’s just..... fuck.” “Just what?” Agora já mais bêbada, simplesmente se inclinou, tomando o rosto dele entre suas mãos. “I like you. More than just a friend. Satisfied?” Antes que o garoto pudesse responder qualquer coisa, o beijou. O resto dessa confusão podia muito bem continuar no dia seguinte.

Out in the Open...
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (30th November - 4th December 2020)
It was a huge week for Cher, who found herself gaining a boyfriend, losing a boyfriend, being exposed as a killer and then having a run in with Silas. So just an ordinary week in Hollyoaks then? Cher started the week on cloud nine, having finally got together with Romeo, but her happiness was shattered by the blackmailer, who was threatening to reveal the next sin. With Cher sure that the truth about her sister’s death was about to be revealed, she begged Sylver to help her keep it quiet, and he made plans to pay off the blackmailer. With Mercedes still insisting that they ignore the blackmailer, Sylver felt forced to tell her what Cher had done. Mercedes reacted by revealing Cher’s sin to the assembled punters at The Dog, theorising that once their secrets were out, the blackmailer would have nothing on them. The plan seemed to work, and the doll announced that there would be no more blackmail, but Cher was devastated that her secret was out and decided to get drunk...
Tumblr media
Some time later, a now very drunk Cher was staggering through the village, and eventually settled on the city walls, where she was approached by Silas.  Back at The Dog, the McQueen’s celebrations were interrupted by the doll, who revealed that, although secrets had been revealed, sinners would still have to be punished. Concerned for Cher’s safety, Sylver and Mercedes headed out to search for her, but Cher had already been brought home by Silas. Whilst out searching, Mercedes received a phone-call from Silas, and the shock of hearing his voice again caused her to lose her footing and fall down the steps. Mercedes was rushed to hospital, where she and Sylver were given the devastating news that she’d lost the baby. Whilst Syler was keen to focus on the loss of their baby, Mercedes had revenge in mind, and she asked George to help her track down Silas when he called round to offer his condolences.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, with Luke and Cindy on holiday, Mandy and Darren were keen to keep an eye on Ollie and invited him to stay with them, but Ollie declined their offer, insisting that he could cope alone. However, after Brooke rejected him, Ollie was clearly struggling, and he called on Juliet to get him some ket. Juliet arrived at the Cunningham’s, but was dismayed to find that Ollie didn’t have the funds to pay for the drugs. Instead, Juliet suggested that Cindy’s house should act as a trap house whilst she was away, in exchange for the drugs. Desperate for a fix, Ollie was left with no option but to agree but things took a turn for the worst when Ollie later collapsed. Too afraid to phone for an ambulance, Juliet called on Peri for help and Peri quickly administered some of Cindy’s bipolar medication to help prevent a seizure before rushing him to hospital. There was relief all round when it was revealed that Ollie was going to be fine, but Peri found herself in hot water when Misbah pointed out how dangerous administering the medication had been. However, keen to protect Peri, Juliet took the wrap, telling Misbah she’d seen it done on a documentary. Peri was touched by Juliet’s actions and suggested that there could be a future for them if Juliet walked away from drug dealing.
Tumblr media
Spurred on by Peri’s words, Juliet went to see Victor and told him that she no longer wanted to work for him, but Victor refused to take any notice, and threatened her family again. This was witnessed by Cher, who went straight to Romeo and Marnie to tell them what she’d seen, but Romeo refused to believe her and accused her of stirring up trouble, ending their relationship in the process. When James found out what had gone on, he confronted Juliet, and she admitted that she’d been dealing. After going through Juliet’s phone, James arranged a meeting with Victor, and returned home later to inform Julie that he’d payed Victor off, and he wouldn’t be bothering her again. Juliet was delighted, especially when James asked her to move back in, but when Juliet arrived at the Nightingale’s, she found Victor waiting for her. Unsurprisingly, Victor would not be bought, and he informed Juliet that she didn’t get to walk away from the drugs...
Tumblr media
In other news this week, in exchange for his silence about the scam, Edward told Kurt to set Tony and Maxine up, and Diane was clearly jealous when she discovered that the pair were going on a date. Sid returned from rehab and was clearly struggling with his prosthetic, whilst Imran and Brooke arranged a date, but decided to cancel it in light of Ollie’s overdose. Finally, Cleo witnessed a moment between Joel and Theresa, but he insisted that it was Goldie he wanted to be with.
Tumblr media
5 Things We Learned This Week:
1. Curtis has been given a non speaking role in the school nativity and Grace is furious! However, I’d say he’s perfect for the part, given that that kid barely utters a word.
2. Tom’s been invited to speak at the “Young Adult Market Owner’s Conference”. That sounds ultra niche so presumably Tom will be speaking to himself.
3. So much can change in a year. This time last year, Ollie had a healthy Dad and a baby on the way. Now, he’s got an ill Dad, no baby, not to mention a whole new face!
4. Hollyoaks exists in its own little bubble, completely separated from the rest of society. You’d image that Silas’ killings would have been big news everywhere, not just in the village, yet no one he speaks to seems to recognise him.
5. Never engage a Hollyoaks resident in a game of ‘never have I ever’. They will have done everything.
This Week’s Cast:
Brooke, Cher, Cleo, Courtney, Darren, Diane, Edward, Felix, George, Goldie, Imran, James, Joel, John Paul, Juliet, Kurt, Luke, Mandy, Marnie, Maxine, Mercedes, Misbah, Nana McQueen, Oliver, Peri, Romeo, Sally, Sid, Silas, Sylver, Theresa, Tom, Tony, Victor and Yasmine.
Blasts From The Past:
Patrick Blake, Lindsay Butterfield, Mitchell Deveraux, Adam Donovan, Jacqui McQueen, Myra McQueen, Myra Pocahontas McQueen, Donna-Marie Quinn, Dodger Savage, Buster Smith

Facing Demons...
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (5th-9th April 2021)
Toby displayed yet more worrying behaviour this week when Cleo’s abuser, Pete, made his return to the village. As the week began, Toby set himself the mission of tracking Pete down, but Cleo soon discovered what he was up to and begged him to stop. Later, Cleo feared that Pete may have returned to the village and her fears were confirmed when Pete turned up at The Dog. Pete attempted to convince Cleo that he’d changed and even admitted that he’d abused her. It was then that Toby arrived on the scene, and Cleo instructed him to lock the doors before giving him the password to an old email account that she and Pete used to use to communicate with each other. The pair discovered thousands of recent messages but Pete insisted that they were to his new girlfriend and that he really had changed. However, Cleo knew that he was lying and Pete soon did a runner, with Toby hot on his heels...
Tumblr media
Toby returned to The Dog a short time later, telling a worried Cleo that Pete had got away. The following day, Cleo was stunned when she came across Pete lying in the village. Pete was in a bad way and Cleo was horrified when he rolled up his sleeve to reveal that Toby had carved the word ‘predator’ into his skin. Cleo was later given more to worry about when she heard Toby utter the words “I didn’t mean to kill her” in his sleep. Cleo confronted Toby and whilst he insisted that he was simply having a bad dream, Cleo wasn’t convinced. It would be Joel who would eventually convince Cleo to give Toby a chance to explain and so she sought reassurance that he hadn’t hurt anyone else. Toby was happy to confirm...
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, it was Ollie’s 18th birthday. Luke was keen to build bridges with his son, and when Cindy announced that it was time that Ollie came home, Luke went to collect him from the Lomax’s. However, Luke was left worried when he discovered from Ste that Ollie had not been living with him for the past few weeks. Luke eventually tracked Ollie down to a garden centre, where he’d been sleeping rough and tried to convince him to come home. Ollie broke down as he recounted how difficult his life had been so far and his worries about the future. Luke reassured Ollie that he still had a future and encouraged him to get clean. Luke took Ollie home and Cindy revealed that she’d used some money saved for Hilton’s future to pay for rehab. Ollie was touched by Cindy’s gesture, but was clearly still anxious about something and he later confided in Cindy that, whilst he and Luke had been talking, Luke had forgotten the name of Ollie’s Mother. Worried that Luke’s condition was deteriorating, Cindy insisted that he see a doctor.
Tumblr media
Elsewhere, Sienna was plotting to get Brody back and snuck into Summer’s flat, hoping to find some evidence that would show her love rival’s true colours. Sienna managed to find Summer’s diary but was forced to hide on the stairs when Brody and Summer returned unexpectedly. Sienna listened as Brody and Summer talked and was delighted when an argument soon erupted between the pair. Summer told Brody that she loved him and was most put out when he failed to say it back, telling her that he felt it was too soon. Sienna was on cloud nine, believing that she still had a chance with Brody however, Summer, having discovered that Sienna had been in the flat, warned her off.
Tumblr media
In other news this week, internet troll, Cher, was being trolled herself, and Romeo decided that, as she’d suffered enough, he wouldn’t tell anyone that she had trolled Mercedes. Following Fergus’s orders, Brad left the village, whist Cindy and Mandy reached an understanding and Cindy agreed that Mandy could stay on in the house. Finally, Shaq’s attempts to get Sami and Verity back together backfired, resulting in Verity bringing forward her big move to New York...

Blackmail, Beatings, and Bad News...
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (10th-14th May 2021)
Fergus found himself in big trouble this week when his blackmailer, Katja, demanded a large sum of money in exchange for her silence about his perverted ways. Of course, Fergus wasn’t about to pay up and so told Warren that he needed to get rid of Katja, otherwise they’d both go to prison for the laptop robbery. Later, Joel saw a scared looking Katja in the village and she admitted that she had information about a robbery. Joel encouraged Katja to go to the police, however, as Katja made the call, Joel realised with horror that she was reporting his dad and urged her to hang up. The following day, Katja went to see Fergus and told him that she was willing to forget about the robbery, but only if he paid her £1000 per month. Fergus agreed and went to share the news with a relieved Warren, who decided to celebrate by taking a couple of days off work to spend time with Maxine. Unfortunately for Warren, this angered Fergus, and he told Maxine about Warren’s role in her accident. Maxine was furious by the news and told Warren that she wanted nothing more to do with him, infuriating Trish, who believed that her daughter was throwing away her last chance of happiness. Going to see Warren, Trish told him that he was probably better off without Maxine, causing Warren to leap to his ex’s defence. Predictably, Maxine overheard everything, and was touched by how much she clearly meant to Warren. Maxine agreed to give Warren another chance on the condition that he severed all ties with Fergus...

Meanwhile, Cleo found herself in a difficult position at work when she suspected that a young patient, Tommy, was lying about how he sustained an injury. Suspecting that the boy’s step-dad, Adrian, had something to do with it, Cleo tried to get Tommy to open up, but, just as he started to speak, Adrian arrived and he and Tommy got ready to leave. Sensing that Tommy was in danger, Cleo chased after them and lied that Tommy was having to stay in overnight as a precaution. The following day, Tommy eventually admitted that his step-father had caused his injury, and Cleo shared the news with Toby, breaking every patient confidentiality rule in the book in the process. Unfortunately, Tommy wasn’t willing to be honest with the police, and Cleo and Toby were left angry when DS Cohen told them that, unless Tommy made a formal statement, there was little she could do. Toby, however, wasn’t about to let Adrian get away with anything and he and Cleo confronted him. As Adrian ranted about Tommy, Toby viscously attacked him, much to Cleo’s horror. The following day, word reached Cleo that Adrian had handed himself him, however, Cleo denied any knowledge of his injuries when DS Cohen questioned her...

Elsewhere, Misbah found a way to solve all of Shaq’s money worries when she found an antique statue in the attic. Knowing that the statue had belonged to Misbah’s late husband, Shaq felt terrible about it being sold, but soon changed his tune when he realised how much Misbah had been offered for it. Knowing he’d soon have the money he needed, Shaq excitedly shared the news with Fergus. As we know, it’s actually the Maalik’s house Fergus is interested in and, when no one was looking, Fergus knocked the statue to the floor. With their last hope at getting the money together lying smashed, Misbah decided to sell the house to Fergus, but insisted that Sami mustn’t find out.
Tumblr media
Yasmine was also keen to help solve Shaq’s money worries and decided to enter a journalism competition offering a cash prize. Yazz decided that Peri and Juliet would be the perfect interviewees but was left disappointed when they refused to be interviewed. Not be deterred, Yazz hatched a plan to get the answers she needed anyway, leaving Peri and Juliet angry when they realised they’d been tricked. When Yazz admitted why she needed the money, the pair agreed to be interviewed, but Juliet took offence to one of the questions and stormed off. Juliet was later seen receiving a text from an unknown individual, and her short temper over the days that followed left Peri fearing that Juliet was dealing again. By the end of the week, the pair had made up again and Peri was delighted when Juliet offered to move in. However, it looks like trouble could be on the horizon when Juliet confided in Sid that Donna-Marie had been trying to contact her.
Tumblr media
In other news this week, Trish was furious when she discovered that Marco and his brother, Jacob, had stolen her list of clients, and threatened them with the police. However, she was forced to back down when they in turn threatened her with whatever dirt they have on her. The McQueen’s decided to get rid of George’s belongings and sold his iPad to Verity, who was horrified to discover that it contained a video that could incriminate John Paul in George’s murder. Finally, Martine won the Dee Valley Businesswoman of the Year award, but was later devastated when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

It’s All Kicking Off...
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (7th-11th December 2020)
If Edward’s antics weren’t farcical before, they certainly became so this week. As the week began, Diane was seething with jealousy after wrongly assuming that Tony had slept with Maxine. Tony soon put Diane straight, and told her she was the only one he wanted to be with. Back at the flat, Verity found out what had gone on and accused Edward of attempting to stir up trouble between Tony and Diane but he soon shocked his daughter by announcing his intention to propose to Diane. Verity was horrified by Edward’s plans and Father and Daughter became embroiled in a bitter argument, resulting in Edward telling Verity that he wished he’d saved her mother over her in the plane crash. Hurt by her Father’s words, Verity decided that it was time Diane knew just what Edward had been up to...
Tumblr media
Diane was understandably sceptical when Verity told her about Edward’s behaviour but soon came to see that she was telling the truth and headed off to confront him. Edward told Diane that he had only acted out of love, but Diane refused to have anything more to do with him and went to inform Tony of what a bastard his Father was. Diane arrived at the caravan but received no answer. It was then that Edward snuck up behind Diane and mounted a socially distanced attack with a briefcase. Edward then placed a weapon next to an unconscious Diane before fleeing the scene. A short time later, Tony discovered Diane lying outside the caravan, just as Edward and Darren arrived. Diane was rushed to hospital, whilst Tony found himself the prime suspect in his wife’s attack and was promptly arrested.
Tumblr media
After being questioned, Tony was released on bail, whilst Verity confronted Edward, accusing him of attacking Diane. However, Edward turned the tables on his daughter, revealing that he’d used bribes to get her ahead in her career, and that he could take it all away by reporting her for fraud if she dared to say anything. Verity wasn’t the only one who was suspicious of Edward though, and Kurt soon confronted him over what he’d done. However, Edward was able to get one over on Kurt by telling Tony and Verity the truth about his scam business, resulting in Kurt fleeing the village.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, there was drama for the Deveraux’s when Walter suddenly collapsed, and Misbah informed the family that he was experiencing kidney failure and would need a transplant. Martine summoned Toby and Celeste to the hospital and informed them that the whole family would need to be tested to see if they were a match, but Martine’s talk of tracking down Mitchell left Toby seething. Once alone with her Brother, Celeste warned him to keep his anger under control, resulting in Toby trapping her hand in a door (well that went well, didn’t it?) Grace soon arrived on the scene, and took Celeste to get her hand seen to before phoning Felix to let him know what had happened. Celeste eventually revealed that Toby was the one who had injured her, leading to a furious Felix wanting to confront him. However, knowing how dangerous her Brother was, Celeste tried to convince him to stay put, and ended up revealing that he was a killer. Felix later confronted Toby over Celeste’s claims and threatened to go to the police. Unfortunately, he was prevented from doing so when Martine arrived and revealed that Toby was a match for Walter...
Tumblr media
Elsewhere, Peri was furious to discover that Juliet was still involved with drugs and reacted by getting back together with Jordan. Later, Victor offered Jordan his patch back, and Jordan was soon settling back into his old role by ordering Charlie and Ella to bring in more money. Ella was clearly frighted of Jordan and Victor and Charlie attempted to stand up for her, but the pair took no notice. Later in the week, Darren and Mandy were too busy discussing their mounting money worries to notice Ella doing a drug deal in the village.
Tumblr media
In other news this week, Brooke, Imran and Sid started a band and offered to perform at Tom and Yasmine’s wedding, whilst Sienna was forced to put on a brave face as Brody was invited to spend some time with Faith. Mercedes was delighted when Sylver moved the rest of the family into The Dog and finally, as Ollie’s drug use continued, Cindy was concerned by Luke’s worrying symptoms and tried to get him to see a doctor.

Summer and Sienna, Caught on Camera and Dancing Dreams...
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (22nd-26th March 2021)
Summer continued in her quest to bring down Sienna and Brody this week, starting with framing Warren for Sienna’s shooting. As the week began, and with Sienna determined to find out the identity of the shooter, Summer suggested that she may not have been the intended target: what if they had been after Brody instead? To add weight to her theory, Summer scrawled ‘RIP’ over a photo of Brody, planted it in Sophie and Sebastian’s buggy and allowed Sienna to find out, thus pointing the finger of suspicion firmly in Warren’s direction.  Warren initially laughed off the allegations, until Brody found a box of bullets, one of which was missing, in a drawer at the garage. Furious, Sienna banned Warren from having any contact with the twins, leaving him devastated.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately for Summer, her framing Warren for the shooting actually brought Brody and Sienna closer together. Realising she would need to keep them apart, Summer decided to try and befriend Sienna and turned up on her doorstep to chat girlbands. Although slightly bemused at first, Sienna invited Summer in. The two women soon discovered that they had lots in common and Sienna ended up opening up about her past, in particular her relationship with her Father, Patrick. However, as Summer went to leave, she revealed her true colours, telling Sienna that Brody was with her now before kissing her and telling her that that was as close to Brody as she was going to get. Sienna was left seething and the following day, hijacked a microphone at the market to tell everyone what Summer was really like. Sadly for Sienna, she only succeeded in making herself look insane.
Tumblr media
Liberty took Sienna home and tried to convince her to stay away from Brody and Summer, pointing that if Summer was as bad for Brody as she thought, he would find out soon enough. Sienna went to apologise to Summer and the pair agreed to stay away from each other. However, Summer later went to see Sienna and told her that she had no intention of staying away from her. In order to take her mind of things, Sienna went to see Sally to enquire about returning to her job whilst Liberty told Summer that she would tell Brody what she was really like if she didn’t stay away from Sienna. Later, Summer approached Sienna and Liberty to offer a truce and walked away thinking they were even. However, Sienna revealed to her sister that she had no intention of letting her rival off the hook....
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Charlie was struggling to settle back in at home. Not only was he scared for his safety, but he was worried that his time in young offenders had caused him to fall behind at school. However, everyone quickly rallied round to help, with George supplying Jack with CCTV cameras for inside and outside the house and John Paul offering to tutor Charlie to get him back up to speed. John Paul’s kind offer unfortunately caused some friction with George, who was aggrieved at the amount of time John Paul was spending with Charlie. Things came to a head when Jack asked George to uninstall the CCTV and George discovered footage of Darren and Nancy discussing their recent fling. Knowing that Nancy had only told John Paul, George sensed an opportunity for trouble and quickly shared his discovery with Scott and Marnie at the Patisserie. George’s meddling had the desired affect when Charlie overheard Marnie gossiping to Goldie about Nancy and Darren and he stormed home to confront his aunt.
Tumblr media
Feeling like he’d been lied to, Charlie was furious with Darren and Nancy whilst Nancy headed off to confront the only person she’d told: John Paul. Nancy was angry with John Paul for betraying her confidence and told him she wanted nothing more to do with him, leading to John Paul hitting the bottle. As the night progressed, and John Paul became more and more drunk, he accused George of spilling Darren and Nancy’s secret. George eventually admitted what he’d done, but attempted to minimise his actions by telling John Paul he’d only done it to save him from the pressures of carrying the secret around. John Paul was horrified by George’s actions and berated him, as George took out his phone and began to film the incident. George eventually put the phone away and punched John Paul to ground before storming out. The following morning, John Paul awoke with no memory of the incident, but sensed from his injuries that things had turned violent. George quickly ‘filled John Paul in’ on what happened and, after showing him the video footage, claimed that he had attacked him in a drunken rage...
Tumblr media
Elsewhere, Trish was busy preparing for the opening of her dance school, but there was disappointment for Leah (welcome back!) when Ste told her that he couldn’t afford to send her. However, he soon came up with a way to get his daughter some free tuition when he offered to clean the hall in exchange for Leah’s place. Trish quickly agreed and realised she’d made the right decision when she saw Leah perform. In fact, she was so impressed that she offered Leah a solo at the school’s launch night. Leah was delighted by Trish’s offer, however, she was disappointed when she realised how expensive the costume would be and decided to pull out, knowing that Ste would never be able to afford it. Luckily, Courtney realised what had happened and Trish was understanding when she filled her in on the situation. However, as Leah later looked through the costumes, she clearly felt uncomfortable as she overheard Trish berating Maxine over how she looked and what she’d eaten...
Tumblr media
In other news this week, Felix, Brad and Warren were preparing for a dodgy business deal and Brad suggested that they get Toby on board too. However, Martine was furious when she found out what was being planned and insisted that both Felix and Toby should have no part in it. Finally, Sally invited Juliet to speak at school about the dangers of county lines gangs.

New Friends, New Jobs, New Looks...
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (5th-9th October 2020)
Juliet found herself drawn deeper into the world of county lines this week, as Victor offered her a ‘promotion’. The drama kicked off as Sid and Juliet were mugged whilst doing a delivery for Victor. As the pair returned to face the music, Victor took his anger out on Jordan by pointing out that this was the latest in a long line of cock-ups involving ‘his kids’ and insisted that he would have to make up the lost money. Jordan proposed that he and Victor rob the patisserie, but the plan went wrong, as Jordan clearly forgot about the pandemic, and he and Victor were forced to leave empty handed when Marnie revealed that she was only accepting card payments and had no money on the premises. Knowing that Victor would not let go of the money, Juliet offered him one of Marnie’s necklaces to pawn. Whilst Victor was clearly impressed, Jordan was furious that Juliet had made him look incompetent and vowed to teach her a lesson...
Tumblr media
The following day, Victor was looking for a base to organise some deliveries and after getting Marnie out of the way, Juliet quickly offered up the patisserie. Still keen to discredit Juliet, Jordan pulled Victor to one side and told him that Juliet had been the reason she and Sid had lost the drugs the previous day. However, Jordan’s plan backfired when Victor accused him of being a grass. With Victor now gunning for him, Jordan decided to leave the village, and begged Leela to accompany him. However, before the pair could leave, they were surrounded by police, who quickly found a stash of drugs in the boot of Jordan’s car and arrested him...
Tumblr media
With Jordan in a whole heap of bother, Sid begged Sami to represent him, however, with Jordan refusing to implicate anyone else, there was little Sami could do, and he revealed that Jordan was looking at a 14 year stretch inside. With the drugs seized and Jordan facing prison, Victor demanded answers, and took Juliet and Sid to a secluded spot to try and get some. Trying to scare the pair into submission, Victor blindfolded Sid and Juliet and threatened to kill them unless they confessed. Whilst Juliet played it cool, believing that the whole thing was a test, Sid panicked and began to cry, and Victor decided to let him go. Once again, Victor was impressed by how Juliet had handled herself, and offered her Jordan’s patch. Sid desperately tried to convince Juliet to walk away, and even admitted that he’d reported Jordan because he was worried about her safety. Unfortunately, Juliet was determined to step up, and even dyed her hair in preparation for her new job...
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Leela and Peri struggled to come to terms with Jordan’s arrest, whilst Sid pleaded with John Paul to be allowed to return to school and Celeste was heartbroken when Toby moved in with Martine. Sienna and Brody argued about baby names and Warren and Felix decided to go into business together. Finally, friendship was developing between Misbah and Marnie following the attempted robbery...

This Week’s Cast:

What a Farce!
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (16th-20th November 2020)
There were cock-ups aplenty this week as Martine’s date with an old pilot friend resulted in Toby and Celeste digging Lisa’s body up, the body being stolen, and a wild goose chase round the village as they attempted to track it down. Toby panicked when Martine casually mentioned that her date was staying at the same hotel that Scott and Mitchell had got married in and not only that, but the grounds were being dug up and renovated. Of course, with Lisa’s body buried in those very grounds, this was very bad news for Toby, and he told Celeste that they would have to move the body. With Martine unknowingly offering up her car for the excursion, the pair were able to move the body, but, rather that dumping it elsewhere, they headed to the garage with the body still in the boot. As Toby and Celeste went inside, they failed to realise that the keys had been left in the ignition, and they emerged some time later to find the car gone.
Tumblr media
Hearing the commotion outside, Felix went to see what was going on, and went to phone the police when he realised what had happened. Luckily for Toby and Celeste, Celeste was able to convince Felix to hang up, and the mystery of the disappearing car was soon solved when an angry Martine face-timed the pair, demanding to know why her car had been left open to theft. However, their relief soon turned to panic, when they realised that Martine, and her car, were in the village with George, and it was soon a race against time to get there before anyone discovered what was inside. Toby and Celeste arrived in the village to face Martine, and George warned the pair about how careless they’d been. Just as George was about to leave, his attentions were drawn to the rear of the car, causing Toby and Celeste to panic. Pointing out the broken light, George went to open the boot, until his radio alerted him that he was needed elsewhere. Toby and Celeste offered to take the car to be fixed, and took it to the garage, with Lisa’s body still in the boot, where it would be discovered by Mitchell later. You see, Mitchell had arrived at the garage and immediately smelt the rotting body in the boot, something that police officer George had apparently missed. Sack him at once!
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, following his accident at the end of last week, Sid was rushed to hospital, whilst a horrified Peri realised that she’d been responsible for running him over. Sid’s leg had been left badly damaged by the car, and Ste was forced to break the news to a devastated Sid that his leg would need to be amputated. Sid initially refused to consent to the operation, however, after chats with Juliet and Courtney, came to see that losing his leg would not be the end of the world. The operation was a success, and Sid ended the week by heading to a rehabilitation centre.
Tumblr media
With it being revealed that Sid’s accident had in part been caused by drugs, and with video footage of Ollie under the influence of ketamine being shared, Nancy called a meeting of her fellow parents/guardians to discuss the growing problems that drugs were causing to the community. Whilst Nancy and Mandy left the meeting remaining blissfuly unaware of Charlie and Ella’s involvement in county lines, Marnie recognised some of the signs in Juliet and contacted Victor after finding Juliet’s burner phone. Unsurprisingly, Victor did not take too kindly to Marnie’s interference, and she was left badly shaken when Victor robbed and threatened her. Misbah found Marnie in a terrible state and took her home, where Marnie waited to confront Juliet. When Juliet arrived home, her lack of remorse about what she was involved in infuriated Marnie and she kicked her out. However, it was clear that what had happened to Sid and Marnie had had some effect on Juliet, and she told Victor that she was having second thoughts about working for him. Unfortunately for Juliet, Victor told her that she had no choice in the matter...
Tumblr media
In other news this week, Cleo returned to the village, causing Theresa and Goldie to speculate that she was behind the recent blackmail attempts, whilst Brooke was heartbroken to learn that Ollie had slept with Juliet. Mitchell was thrown when Scott revealed that he wanted them to have a baby and finally, Sienna’s obsessive behaviour towards baby Faith saw her making notes of Liberty and the baby’s every move. So just a normal, sane, week for Sienna then?

This Week’s Cast:

Parenting Perils...
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (18th - 22nd January 2021)
Oh, Toby. He had one job but, alas, it appears that behaving like a rational human being for a short interview is a task beyond him. This week saw Toby sent into a panic as he was informed that he would need to undergo a psychological assessment if he was to act as a donor for Walter. Cleo’s attempts to reassure Toby made no difference and he fled, whilst Martine told Cleo that her son’s lack of relationship experience may be responsible for his erratic moods and strange behaviour. When Toby found out about his Mother’s interference, he was furious and his outburst frightened Cleo, who told him they were over. Having witnessed this, Felix told Celeste that he could no longer keep quiet about Toby’s anger issues and that he was going to the police, but Celeste insisted that they wait until the transplant had gone ahead.
Tumblr media
The following day, Covid-19 appeared to have done a disappearing act as Toby prepared for a face to face meeting with the counsellor at home. Unfortunately, the session went disastrously wrong when the counsellor found a copy of ‘The Red Door’ behind a cushion and Toby accused her of trying to catch him out, not realising that Felix had been reading it. A furious Toby threw the counsellor out and word soon reached Martine that Toby had refused the session. With Walter having deteriorated further, Martine was understandably angry that her Father’s last hope of a transplant had been thwarted, and she confronted Toby, who reacted by locking her in the garage. Luckily, Celeste arrived on the scene just as Toby was planning to torch the place and let her out. When Felix found out about what had happened, he insisted that it was the final straw, and that the police would have to be contacted. In a surprising move, Celeste insisted on making the call herself but instead, made a call to Dr Ley, asking her to come and ‘fix’ Toby...
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, tensions were high in the Hutchinson household this week as the family prepared for Edward’s will reading, and there was a shock in store when everything was left to Diane. However, Diane was soon given more to worry about when she discovered that she was pregnant, and confided in Verity that she had no idea who the Father was. As Diane struggled to come to terms with her new found predicament, the family prepared to scatter Edward’s ashes and Verity soon decided that the best place for her late Father was down the drain. She’ll get no arguments from me. Whilst Tony was pleased that his Father was now out of his life, Verity warned Diane that she couldn’t keep quiet about the pregnancy forever and Diane decided to book a scan to find out how far along she was, asking Verity to keep quiet in the meantime. However, whilst doing a spot of bin raking, Tony discovered the pregnancy test, and immediately assumed that it was Verity’s. The following day, Tony spotted Sami and Verity celebrating and congratulated them on the pregnancy, not realising that they were actually celebrating a new contract for the law firm. Verity reluctantly agreed not to drop Diane in it, but now finds herself having to lie to Sami, who ended the week struggling to come to terms with the belief that he’s about to become a Father...
Tumblr media
Elsewhere, Maxine bumped into her new landlord, Brad, this week, and his comments made her worry that she was about to lose her home. However, the following day, Brad reassured Maxine that he had no intention of kicking her out and there was clearly an attraction between the pair as they shared a kiss. Unfortunately for Maxine, any hopes of a relationship with the newcomer were quickly dashed when she discovered that Brad was actually in a relationship with her Mother, Trish, (although when has a little thing like that ever stopped a Hollyoaks resident?) who returned to the village this week. Despite Trish having been absent from Maxine and Minnie’s lives for the last few years, she set about trying to make amends as she informed her daughter that she and Brad were moving to the village. Although initially not happy at having her Mother on her doorstep, Theresa encouraged Maxine to give her a chance, and Maxine spent a nice afternoon with Trish and Brad at The Dog. However, when Brad went to the bar, he was seen looking at his phone and adding photos of Maxine to his collection of photos of women....
Tumblr media
In other news this week, Summer confronted Warren over the secret he and Sienna were keeping, and demanded to know if he’d attacked her Father. However, Warren lied that he and Sienna had been discussing their affair. Brody and Sienna made up after his kiss with Summer, and Sienna was delighted when Brody proposed, whilst James reluctantly agreed that Ste could clean the flat on a more permanent basis.
Tumblr media
Finally, having seen how much Darren was struggling with Charlie’s imprisonment, Luke warned Mandy that he wasn’t sure that he could keep quiet about Ella killing Jordan. However, Mandy begged him to keep shtum, bringing up the fact that Luke’s alcoholism had contributed to Ella’s stint in foster care and he couldn’t let her down again.
Tumblr media
5 Things We Learned This Week:
1. Maxine most definitely did not have “full rumpy pumpy” with her Mother’s boyfriend and that is the end of the matter.
2. Trish wants to move to Hollyoaks as she “loves the village vibe”. What, the stench of death lurking round every corner? The threat of someone taking revenge on you for the slightest misdemeanour? The 99% chance that you’ll be arrested for a crime you didn’t commit at some point? Yeah, Hollyoaks is a fantastic place to live!
3. Falling pregnant is no fun when you’ve no idea if your Husband, or his Father, is the Father. However, the Diane of 2010, who stole babies, would have been utterly delighted by this latest development.
4. James calling Ste ‘chav in the lav’ whilst he was cleaning the toilet was just “jocular workplace banter” and most definitely not bullying.
5. Marnie once sent back a cheese board because “it was too northern”.
This Week’s Cast:
Brad, Brody, Celeste, Cleo, Darren, Diane, Cindy, Cormac, Felix, Goldie, Grace, James, Luke, Mandy, Marnie, Martine, Maxine, Misbah, Sami, Sienna, Ste, Summer, Theresa, Toby, Tony, Trish, Verity, Walter and Warren.
Blasts From The Past:
Kurt Benson, Becca Dean, Hannah Hay, Edward Hutchinson, Lisa Loveday, Kathleen McQueen, Mitzeee Minniver, Ellie Nightingale, Sinead O’Connor, Jordan Price, Dom Riley

Happy 25th Birthday, Hollyoaks!
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (19th-23rd October 2020)
This week marked Hollyoaks’ 25th anniversary, and we were treated to scenes featuring a terrifying doll blackmailing the McQueen’s. As we know, at the end of last week, the McQueen’s began receiving mysterious text messages and this week, the family began being blackmailed; their ‘seven deadly sins’ would be revealed if they did not cough up. Mercedes instantly accused James and confronted him in the village, but she was soon summoned back to The Dog by Nana, who had taken delivery of a package containing a doll. The doll demanded a payment of £7000 in exchange for silence of the first sin; wrath. Sylver realised that the sin related to Breda’s death and, worrying about his relationship with Cher, was determined that his secret should stay hidden. Believing that James was the culprit, Sylver went to see him, and nearly attacked him until Mercedes and Goldie dragged him away. Later, Mercedes went to see James and asked him to pay the money, pointing out that he owed her following the shooting. James coughed up, and there was relief all round when the money was transferred only a few seconds over the deadline. However, despite the family insisting that those few seconds wouldn’t matter, the police turned up to arrest Sylver...
Tumblr media
The McQueen’s were left reeling following Sylver’s arrest and Mercedes even asked George to destroy any evidence they had against him. When George refused, Mercedes shouted after him that he could never be a part of their family. Sylver was later released, and was forced to come clean to Cher when she demanded to know where he’d been. As Sylver confessed to murdering Breda, Cher had a confession of her own, and confided in Sylver about how she’d been responsible for the death of her younger sister by pushing her into a swimming pool whilst on holiday. Don’t worry, Cher, you’re in great company with the McQueen’s...
Tumblr media
Later that day, George arrived at The Dog and informed John Paul that he’d been responsible for Sylver’s release, as he’d done what Mercedes had asked and destroyed the evidence. John Paul was angry at George for interfering, but everyone was soon distracted by the blackmailer’s next message, this time, offering them a way out if they could guess their identity. However, Mercedes refused to be drawn in, and insisted they should ignore it, unaware that she was being watched by serial killer granddad, Silas Blissett! The McQueen’s were soon in party mode when Mercedes revealed that she was pregnant, much to the delight of Sylver. Meanwhile, Tony was shocked when Verity and Diane arrived at the caravan to start divorce proceedings. Tony hired Sami to represent him and the foursome held a meeting to discuss matters, but Tony ended up storming off when Sami and Verity couldn’t stop squabbling. After hearing that the meeting hadn’t gone well, Edward went to see Tony and told him that the stress of the situation was causing Diane to lose her hair. Later, Tony went to see Diane and informed her that he’d signed the divorce papers. As Tony began facing up to a life without Diane, he was intrigued to receive a message from the ‘love of his life’ requesting a meeting at The Hutch the following day. As Tony arrived at the restaurant, a motorbike pulled up outside, and Tony was shocked to find his old friend, Kurt Benson, who died in a jet ski accident in 1999, standing in front of him. Turns out, Kurt’s not dead after all...

Elsewhere, Victor was pressuring Juliet to find them some new dealers and, after pointing out that girls attract less attention than boys, told her to get Ella on board. The following day, when Ella went to meet Charlie for lunch, Juliet turned up, and suggested that the three of them should hang out. Although initially thrilled that an older girl wanted to be friends with her, Juliet’s sinister intentions were revealed, when she suggested to Charlie that it was time for Ella to know where his recent wealth had come from. Ella was horrified to hear what Juliet and Charlie had gotten themselves involved in, and categorically refused to be a part of it. However, Juliet frightened Ella when she revealed that she’d hidden a package of weed in the kitchen of The Hutch, and told her she needed to retrieve it to prevent Mandy getting into trouble. Ella did as she was told, and later went to meet Juliet to return the package. Juliet instructed Ella to place the package into Charlie’s backpack, before revealing that she’d captured the whole interaction on video...

Finally, Yasmine was down in the dumps about the state of her relationship with Tom, but was determined to get things back on track, starting with getting him to say he loved her. On the advice of Misbah, Yasmine invited Tom round for dinner, but things didn’t go well when he realised that he and Yazz wanted different things out of life and suggested that they break up, feeling like his desire to remain in the village would hold her back. Yazz refused to accept Tom’s decision, and was determined to win him back. After learning that Tom was planning to go and visit Holly in France, Yazz knew she would have to act quickly, and begged Cindy to stall him. When the pair came face to face in the village, Tom told Yazz that he’d lost too many people to risk losing her too. As Cindy, Mandy and Darren gathered round, Yazz showed Tom a video she’d made, featuring all of the villagers reading out a love letter she’d written to Tom. Tom was overwhelmed by Yazz’s gesture, and was even more so when she proposed! There was delight all round when Tom accepted!
