When hilson get together they are cozy , touchy not at first thought , it takes time for them to realize that they can touch each other now , it isn't like they couldn't before but it would've so weird , what if one touches the other and they don't like it? Neither of them could take that risk , it starts small , some casual hand touch that could pass like an accident then it scales , caress that starts to last minutes , soft kisses , awkward cuddles when watching trashy soap operas and weird hand holding when they are alone , they realize soon that they can't hold their hands to themselfs , they need to touch and touch , they had been so touch starved of each other for more of a decade and every tiny touch is like breathing , it's easy and they need it so much.

Just a theory. What if Odysseus was sent to Elysium in the end?

(If you’re curious abt the different meanings of these Greek words…check out this post where I ranted abt them)

“A death (θάνατος)”: You will be sent there, Odysseus, and you may never leave. “Afterlife”, as later writers would consider it to be—but what if it’s a living man in afterlife? “Death”, we call it.

“A death outside of the sea (ἐξ ἁλός)”: Ending up in Elysium which was located on the western edge of earth beside the streams of Oceanus (Ὠκεανός), which was outside of the entire area of the sea (ἅλς) lying on the very edge.

“A tender (ἀβληχρός) death”: What harm so violent could ever come to you in Elysium, Odysseus? This is the most gentle way to get you to the afterlife; and it’s tender like the hand of love, when you find her beside you—you know her to be your Penelope.

“Ripe old age (λιπαρός γῆρας)”: Yep he’s old now.

“A blest (ὄλβιος) people”: They are a happy people blest by the gods, these residents in Elysium. (Proof in Hesiod’s Works and Days, line 171: “ὄλβιοι ἥρωες …”)

So yeah, Teiresias’s prophecy works for this ending too. Nothing keeps him from reuniting with Menelaus in Elysium :D

In your most recent post with andreil & hand holding, is there a backstory for the cold hands one? One of them asks "does it hurt?" So I was just wondering:)

Okay I know you sent another ask right after (I’m so glad you were able to find the gloves/hands post bc I’m going to believe that means my links work and help to some degree) but I held onto this one because IM NOT DONE WITH THE COLD HANDS INTERACTION

Anyway the bit in that post is Andrew asking Abram if the scars on his hands hurt in the cold, and Abram knows better than/knows it’s no use to lie to him. Also Abram/Neil being quietly honest with Andrew about not being ‘fine’ is something I hold soooo close to my heart 🥺

okay, but it's the way that listening to songs sometimes reminds me of these random OC's that i have come up with over the years though JSJSJ like i have nottt thought of this one in a WHILE... but i once had an OC named ilias whose parents basically had a dream related to wealth due to his birth + so they took it as a prophecy because they always wished to have money as they lived in poverty for as long as they could remember. thus, they were superrr overprotective of him growing up to the point of obsession because they started seeing him as like their 'savior' in a way. and at the age of like six years old, he ended up developing the 'midas touch' or the ability to turn things into gold with a touch except he ALSO couldn't turn it off like midas + it only started with small things like insects at first but then spread to things like people and animals being turned into gold by his touch?

and that is SO incredibly sad whenever i think about it?? but also, IDK... i think i might've been cooking slightly whenever i thought of this idea. not to brag or anything, of course LOL buttt the commentary i could be using this kind of story for related to how capitalism is horrible and how greed can quickly overpower people is something i'd definitely be interested in now, i think. but SKSKS if y'all have any thoughts about this, then please feel free to comment them below because i'd love to hear them :)
