The thing that kills me about the Star Wars prequel trilogy and why I will die on my hill that my problem is not that Star Wars is a tragedy, its that its a badly written tragedy, is that Anakin Skywalker was at his closest to being a good Jedi when he was ten years old.

#im not an anakin apologist by any means because I get the point of his character and Im not pro or anti jedi #my only real opinion on all of it is similar to what I was saying about Peter and Tony and the MCU yesterday #its badly written. its EVERYONE being contorted into shapes that dont make a ton of sense in service to #getting characters to where they need to end up for certain things to occur #my opinion is not that Anakin is inherently bad or good or that the Jedi are inherently bad or good #its that their entire conflict was set in motion by forcing the Jedi to act in ways that felt massively OOC when they were #first interviewing him as a kid and like.....I ACCEPT that the Jedi are supposed to be for the most part kindhearted and empathetic and all #of that which is why its so noteworthy in my opinion that this does not match with how they were FORCIBLY portrayed in those early movies #in order to ENGINEER the idea that this kid in desperate need of support but already with a lot of good instincts and positive traits #came to the order of kindly supportive literal empaths and everything went downhill from there #like kindly supportive literal empaths would not in my opinion look at a kid trying his best to be brave & stoic in completely intimidating #circumstances and surroundings and be judgmental and fairly dismissive about it as though theyve never met a kid before let alone a #traumatized one and the fact that thats kinda what happened is in contrast to how a lot of pro anakin people frame that NOT proof #that the Jedi order are inherently bad its that in that key scene and multiple others #the Jedi order were BADLY WRITTEN in pursuit of one pre-determined outcome that mattered more to the script/Lucas than #being true to their core conceit and characterizations. and thats just one example out of dozens I could list and the same holds true for #anakin's side of things so thats why I always steer far away from SW discourse #because Im like the problem with the characters in terms of the most iconic arc is not really any of the characters so much #as the plots refusal to let them actually consistently BE characters rather than just fixed and contrived stepping stones on the way to #the desired endpoint

AND BROKE INTO HIS HOME???? ON CORONATION DAY????)#(he doesn't act like heimdall or the warriors or sif or even loki is below him. he wouldn't /ask them/ for permission otherwise)#(he even asks the humans-he-just-met for permission a la jane and then respects their decisions and apologizes for being rude abt the mug)#(and the one time he says 'know your place' to loki is when loki is actively bUTTING INTO A CONVERSATION that thor is being ridiculous abou #(bc to thor it's about /winning/ the argument with laufey and he's totally losing track of his goal to try and figure out wtf the jotuns)#(were doing ///in asgard inside the palace IN THE VAULT on CORONATION DAY///.)#(arrogance is specifically thinking you are inherently better than anyone else bc you exist)#(thor very clearly demonstrates selfish desires that translate to poorly thought out deeds)#(eg: taking it directly to laufey instead of trying to take a step back and figure it out in OTHER WAYS before a direct confrontation)#(and he also demonstrates overblown self-confidence.)#(eg the “i have no plans to die today” / “none do.”)#(that's being overconfident in his own abilities that's still not arrogance.)#( ooc . ) — stories that leap from the page .#( salt to taste . ) — in this house we love the actual main character . crazy i know .#tbd #(thor expresses boastfulness and pride similarly to his whole culture of over-exaggerating ur war stories)#(his vice is letting that vanity get to his head and fueling increasingly impulsive and stubborn decisions)#(out of the sheer and desperate desire to prove he's good enough to take up such a heavy mantle as the crown of asgard + nine realms)#(but he doesn't just look at other people and go 'oh yeah i'm so totally better than you just because i exist')#(he's also not a lightning mcqueen who actually DOES see himself above the rustees cars and the route 66 cars)#(goes out of his way to make that abundantly clear and wants actually nothing to do with any of them in pursuit of his own gains)#(only to finally figure out he's not all hot shit and slows tf down to understand and enjoy life as part of society not above it)#(he literally flies of the handle because he fully believes the jotunar actually plotted an entire elaborate scheme)#(SPECIFICALLY in the effort to exploit him as the green thumb weak link as Newly Instated King who Doesn't Know What He's Doing)#(And therefore will OBVIOUSLY do a terrible job because he's not odin and can never be odin but he /needs/ to be like odin bc odin is stron #(HE doesn't know it was loki's plan. he doesn't know it was /loki/ who timed it to the coronation.)

High key wanting rn....

Ethan being found out by his sister and forced into psychiatric care. Give me a shrink that handle his therapy sessions. Bonus points if we write it in an asylum.

Similarly, Oscar going to therapy for his PTSD. His disorder being triggered by a particularly taxing case and he's now required to have his psych eval and clearance done.

As always Gage slipping a few rungs down in his sobriety journey and finding his way back. This would largely deal with drugs, heroin specifically, and also alcohol.

TRIGGER WARNING for all of the above plots. They can get pretty dark at times. Mental health, murder, and addiction will be major points for the above plots. Especially with Ethan and Gage.

Also would love something crime related for Ivy. She's a hacker and I'd love to write her against someone on either side of the law. I don't get to write my girls that much and muse for her is pretty high rn too.

All plots are open to whoever. If they turn into ships, they are all hetero. Except for maybe Ivy. Im sort of toying with the idea that she could possibly be bi, so that would most likely be explored if a FxF thing seems to be happening. If not, then it can be whatever mix you want. MxF. MxM, FxF. It doesn't matter. Ship or no ship, I'm up for either path.

She has been following Lila, that much is true. But now that she's been caught doing so she may as well cut the crap and get to the point. She holds a rolled-up piece of paper out in the other woman’s direction, a piece of paper that had been sent to her in a metal canister mere hours ago.

Protect Lila Pitts. That’s what the paper reads, signifying Cha-Cha’s next assignment.

“You have any idea as to why I’ve landed this job?”

Now, Cha-Cha isn’t one to complain about the work she’s given (that was more up Hazel’s alley) but she can’t help but feel as though this is some kind of shitty joke. Or maybe it was a test of sorts.

Regardless, it feels as though she is being forced from assassin to glorified babysitter, something which she sure as fuck isn’t laughing about it.

This is in an effort to break it down and cure common diseases (based on the success of Steve Rogers) and not to make more soldiers. Except now she has a target on her back because of it.
