Hey... Do you know the song sung by the voice actor from the pilot Hazbin Hotel? Called Thank you and goodnight. Weirdly this song reminds me of Mystic Messenger, despite being a new fan and having been into this game until this year 2024 I already felt a connection, seeing old posts about this game from an old fan somehow makes me tear up. Despite I'm a fan of 2024, I somehow feel nostalgic about this game despite never actually experience it before

Ohh I also relate with that nostalgia feeling. After playing for a few weeks, it felt like I knew those characters for years. It was weird and comforting. I started playing in 2020, so not super recently, but I was also “late” for the party. Luckily, the MysMess fandom is super chill, receptive and apparently immortal! So welcome!

I can definitely see a connection with the song. When I first started playing the game, like many others, I thought it was just going to be a silly game. But then all of a sudden I was laughing, crying, swooning, and deeply sleep deprived lmao. It was a ride! And whenever I finished a route, it felt like a bittersweet goodbye.

Yuhua sniffled, shaking like a leaf in a storm with uncontrollable sobs. Try as “she” might to stifle them, it didn’t work.

“Is there something wrong with you? I said to stop crying.”

If “she” were a flower, as “her” given name suggested, “she” would have withered right there on the spot. Instead, “she” simply wilted a bit, trying to become smaller in “her” seat. Maybe “she” could disappear if “she” tried hard enough.

“Didn’t you hear her? Crying doesn’t do anything.”

And now “her” mom was joining in, too. Yuhua tried not to cry even harder.

It wasn’t fair. She was barely home anyway because of work, and the one time she came to pick “her” up from Chinese class at their neighbor’s house, she turned on “her.”

Through “her” tears, Yuhua gripped “her” pencil tighter and tried to make out the question on the paper that had given “her” so much trouble. If only “she” could give the right answer right away without having to process it, maybe then “she” wouldn’t have been yelled at. And then maybe “she” wouldn’t have started crying, but of course “she” was too sensitive for that to not happen—

What if “she” didn’t have to go to this class at all? Wouldn’t that have saved everyone the trouble? Then “she” wouldn’t have to feel stupid, and “her” teacher and mom wouldn’t have to get mad, and—
