You stood at the edge of the ship, watching the sunset slowly set. After Punk Hazard, you all returned back to the ship. Out to Dressrosa, to help Law with whatever he was planning. “So you’re just going to ignore me?” That deep voice called out to you. You continued staring out to the sea, hearing footsteps behind you come closer. You could sense him standing next to you, staring at you.

“What’s wrong with that? You did it to me throughout our relationship,” you said softly.

“I’m sorry, (Y/N). Please forgive me, what I did was wrong and I don’t want this affecting the allia-“ you quickly cut him off. “Why would our past affect the alliance? Did you honestly think I haven’t moved on by now?” You laughed. “I-… No I didn’t think that, but…” he trailed off. “Don’t worry, I’ll happily accept my captain’s orders… even if it means having to be in alliance with you,” you said coldly.

You turned around and headed towards the girl’s quarters. “(Y/N), I wasn’t done speaking!” He said, as he followed me. “Ok, so what else did you have to say?” You asked as you turned back to face him. “U-Uh… well you look… nice. How have you… been?” He asked awkwardly. “You really want to have a quick catch up?” You scoffed. “Well like you said we’re in an alliance now, so we should be able to have civil conversations,” he explained. You raised an eyebrow, “Traffy, weren’t you the one that tried to explain to Luffy that an alliance doesn’t mean we’re friends?” You asked.

“Not you using that dumb name too… a-and I did but-“ you cut him off. “Exactly! Thank you for remembering! Now I’ll be off to my room,” you said as you turned back and quickly entered your room before he could stop you.

You threw yourself on your bed, “Just another example of having the worst luck ever… Now I have to see and help my ex for who knows how long,” you sighed as you stared at the ceiling. “This is all so stupid and awkward!” You said to yourself as you rubbed your head. Out of all people, him?! At this point you would’ve preferred if Kidd showed up or something… And what the hell is up with him trying to have small talk with me? Does he expect me to be buddy buddy with him like nothing happened?

You quickly sat up, and shook your head. “Stop thinking about him. We’re over him, he doesn’t affect us anymore…” you said to yourself as you felt tears fall down your face. “God I’m so stupid!” You yelled.

Suddenly you heard the door open, and you quickly wiped away any tears. “(Y/N)? Are you awake?” You heard Robin call out. “Hi Robin,” you sniffled. “What’s wrong?” She asked as she sat on the edge of your bed. “It’s nothing, just some bad memories…” you said, as you avoided her eyes. “You know you can tell me, I’m your friend (Y/N),” she smiled as she placed her hand on top of mine. “I know, thanks,” you smiled softly. “I came to check on you, because I saw how upset you looked after speaking with Trafalgar,” she replied. “Yeah, I just don’t feel too comfortable around him,” you confessed. “You should tell Luffy, I’m sure he’ll under-“ you quickly cut her off. “No! No…” you repeated. “I can’t let him know! I can’t-“ you shut your mouth, afraid of your voice cracking.

“Let him get to you? I don’t understand,” she said, confused. You sat there in silence, pondering whether to tell her or not. “(Y/N), I’ll always be here for you. Do you and Trafalgar have a past history?” She asked. “Mhmm… I used to be a part of his crew, before I left…” you trailed off. “You left? Why?” She asked. “We were dating… until he shared his true feelings with me. I couldn’t stay there, not after what he said to me… So I left, while he was distracted by some Marines,” you explained, feeling a heavy weight fall off your shoulder. “Oh my,” Robin gasped. “Yep, so now we’re in an alliance with him. It’s weird, and I’ve moved on… but it sucks seeing him,” you said slowly.

“I see,” she said softly. “It’s ok, we’ll show him that you’ve grown. That no matter what he does, he can’t hurt you. Especially when you have friends here that will support you,” she smiled as he wrapped me into a hug. “You’re right!” You grinned. Your beautiful moment was quickly interrupted by your stomach growling. “Ah… I guess all this talk got me hungry,” you said sheepishly. “Let’s go get dinner,” Robin said. You nodded and the both of you quickly headed to the dining table.

You sat in between Robin and Luffy, and across from… Law. “Here you go everyone, dinner’s ready!” Sanji smiled as he sat down to eat. “Thank you,” we all said and quickly began eating. You reached forward for a rice ball, and brushed your hands against Law’s. You immediately flinched, looking up to see him staring your way.

You quickly grabbed a rice ball and pulled your arm away. You began to eat, trying to look anywhere but his direction. “Hey (Y/N)!” Said Luffy, breaking you out of your concentration. “Y-Yes?” You stuttered as you looked next to you. “Are you gonna finish your meat?” He asked, drooling. “Luffy! Leave (Y/N)’s food alone!” Sanji yelled. “It’s fine, you can have it Luffy,” you smiled as you handed him your plate.

“Thanks!” He smiled, but it quickly turned into a frown as he stared at you. “Something wrong?” You asked. “Yeah… one sec,” he said as he moved his hand to your face. Slowly wiping away at your cheek, you felt your cheeks heat up. “Sorry, you had rice on your cheek,” he laughed. “Oh, thanks,” you smiled. “Ow!” Luffy yelled, causing everyone to focus their attention on him. “Someone stepped on me!” He huffed. “Huh?” You questioned.

“You’re just imagining it,” Nami said. “Here Luffy, take my sandwich,” you said as you placed it onto his plate. “Wow!” He said, quickly changing his focus back onto his food. You slowly turned your eyes to the man in front of you. You almost fell out of your seat, once seeing the daggers that this man was staring into you.

“I-I’ll think I’ll call it an early night, night you guys,” you said as you quickly headed out of the dining room.

“Man that was tense,” you sighed as you walked towards your room. You slowly reached for the door knob, before suddenly being turned over and being pushed against the wall. You grunted as your back hit the door, you quickly opened your eyes to see that you were trapped by… Law… “T-Traffy?” You asked nervously. “So I see that you moved on, but I didn’t know you had a thing for captains,” he said coldly. “Woah… Woah… you think I moved from you onto Luffy? You’re crazy,” you laughed.

You noticed a light pink hue on his cheeks, as you continued to laugh. “Well why the blushy face when he reached for your face?” He questioned. “Well… wouldn’t anyone blush if you had food on your face and your friend took it off?” You asked. “I- Uh-“ you quickly cut him off. “Look like someone else needs to move on,” you laughed again, while slowly turning around to open the door. But was quickly turned back around, “Stop messing with me!” He yelled.

“What do you want from me? Do you still wish that I head head over heels for you, well tough shit cause you messed that up!” You yelled. You noticed that he was slightly taken aback by your response. “So what if I end up liking Luffy or whoever! That has nothing to do with you! You’re nothing to me, nothing,” you growled as you pushed him away.

“I’m not the same girl anymore, that would follow your every word. Or kiss the floor where you stepped on,” you glared. “So just leave me alone… haven’t you done enough?” You asked as you were finally able to open the door to the girls’ quarters. You quickly entered the door, ignoring Law’s calls for you. As you went to slam the door, a foot stopped it from slamming.

“Jesus Christ, you just don’t know when to leave a girl alone…” you groaned. “I’m sorry… I just want to say that I’m sorry,” he peeked through. “Ok now mov-“ he cut you off. “I’m sorry… for what I said. When you left, I realized how much I missed you- needed you… We went back to the island, but you were already gone. I don’t know what went over me, I-I missed your laughs, your smile, you interrupting me from my work, calling me honey… I know I screwed up, and seeing you now… Just reminds me of when we were still together… but I guess that’ll never be the case again,” he confessed. You stayed silent. “I’ll leave you alone, or as much as I can… I just wanted to let you know how I felt,” he said softly before removing his foot. Finally allowing you to shut the door.

You let out a deep sigh, and slowly slid down against the door. “Why do I feel like this?” You asked yourself as you clenched your hair. “What do I do now…?” You softly cried into your arms.

ANNE! a girl character, oh boy! she seems to harbor impure thoughts of theft...oh I cannot WAIT to see how that plays out. I love her big goofy smile too hehe. I wish we had more women in this show! like. any female warriors, too. usually I feel like there's at least one...

the 'love' thing with the priest is a bit dumb imo. vikings knew what love was. like. they have family members and friends. it's kind of strange to see christianity positioned as a moral faith in comparison to the norse pagan faith, when like...we KNOW how much destruction and suffering christians and christianity has caused over the next thousand years.

it's kind of funny to hear the extremely simplistic 'if you don't obey god and jesus Just Because you will literally be tortured for eternity' because honestly that's how a lot of christians do seem to think and try to scare their kids with. so. accurate

OH HOLY SHIT.......oh. okay. yeah. yeah this show does not pull punches

going to be honest murdering an entire village in cold blood and then praying for their souls is kind of. like. offensive? hypocritical? however the villagers are also christian so um. at least there's that

I really like how anne's hands are animated - dry and cracked. she's not a wealthy young woman, or enduring this weather comfortably. also she has the exact same backstory as lin wanyue from fgep so I briefly imagined her she disguising herself as a man joining the army to murder all the danes and then marrying an english princess. I'm much more interested in her interactions with thorfinn and canute tho - just because thorfinn wants revenge on askeladd, that doesn't mean he's not complicit. and just because canute's life was theoretically at risk and he never physically hurt anyone, that doesn't mean he played no role

apparently she doesn't come back tho 😔 my kingdom for a single major female character...I miss ylva too honestly

also canute yelling at the priest for doubting god was like. buddy you are not endearing yourself to me😭 he and thorfinn truly are SO different so I'm really interested to see how their relationship develops. that line about fathers seemed to make him think - norse paganism and christianity truly do 🤝 over the patriarchy

ragnar is soo funny he's such a mother hen like 'young man you need to eat vegetables' and thorfinn (poorly socialized, never talks with kids his own age, lives to kill, hasn't been parented in a decade) is like FUCK OFF I"LL EAT MEAT FOR EVERY MEAL IF I WANT TO, but then immediately caves bc he wants food and does have a job guarding this guy. ragnar is honestly very different to what you'd expect from his big tough guy design

thorfinn eating well-cooked food for the first time in ???? and clearly being genuinely emotionally touched by it and probably remembering his home and family is so. oh man he's right there isn't he. just under the surface of his aggression and antisocial behavior is that kid. he just needs a little coaxing. some unconditional affection. to stop killing people. this scene is so warm and domestic 🥺 and aw man canute being punished by his father for his hobbies...for class reasons but also it's GOTTA be for gender reasons right. like. you'd assume. and ragnar supporting and loving him...god that makes what's about to happen even worse because I did NOT see that coming at all holy shit? ALSO his DAD wanting him dead? that means thorfinn is going to have to protect him? will askeladd tell thorfinn? doubtful...man this is a complex political situation playing out huh bc askeladd wants canute in power so he can ensure the safety of wales. also another DUEL is coming up!!!! I know TvTropes is edited by different people, but I would dearly love to understand their general logic.

You find this in the YMMV page of Lament of Innocence:

Mathias is not afforded much grace for acting out of desperate grief, to the point that apparently some thought he didn't even deserve a second chance in the form of Soma.

Now, I would argue that LoI doesn't even expect you to cry over Mathias. It's very obvious that he has become a despicable person, using his friend as a pawn, causing the death of said friend's fiancée and not shedding a compassionate tear over her, and even believing he would be joined in immortality. But yes, I agree, Mathias is pitiable only to an extent: "wife died" is not exactly a compelling argument for rejecting humanity to the degree that he did.

... but then what about this, TvTropes? From the YMMV page of NFCV?

One, NFCV didn't come up with the idea of Dracula lashing out due to the grief of Lisa's death. It comes from SoTN. NFCV only put more emphasis on it. Stop giving the show undeserved credit.

Two, really? Really. N!Dracula is really that sympathetic, that most of the voices he gets are all about how much of a poow bapyboy he is? What the hell do you mean, "he makes a good case against humanity"???? This piece of shit wanted to exterminate humankind and vampirekind (because he was aware that they'd all starve to death, he just refused to give a fuck) because one village didn't rise up against a bishop! When he yells "there are no innocents, not anymore", do you take him seriously?????

He does get a Moral Even Horizon voice, but it feels half-hearted, to say the least:

If you think it's hard not to sympathize with him and that being brought back as a treat rectifies it, then by definition it's not a Moral Event Horizon, because the very definition of the trope is that it's an act that makes a character completely and utterly unforgivable, on par with Griffith sacrificing the Band of the Hawk and raping Casca, to make a famous example.

(funnily enough they do the same with Lenore under the same trope, saying that apparently she understood that she crossed the line and tried to make amends. There's not, however, mention of Isaac killing innocent people and defiling their corpses for his selfish purposes. Inch-resting.)

I really, really am made uncomfortable by the serious apologism N!Dracula gets, and only because he cries a little more than his game counterpart. "He makes a good case against humanity", huh? Do you have any idea how many genocides started from motivations that were seen as reasonable? How many dictators tried, and are trying, to kill many for the perceived sins of few? Yes, I am fully aware that N!Dracula is a fictional villain, and he benefits from a cool design, suave voice, and multiple Pet The Dog Moments, I'm not really saying that his fans condone real crimes... but just like Lenore fans who justify her abuse and rape with real life rape apologism arguments such as "Hector consented at first" or "she wanted his own good", the rhetoric used here is honestly appalling.

But yes, on a pettier note, I'm also salty that game Dracula isn't afforded the same sympathy, even though he too is bereaved by grief. He just doesn't express it in a pitiable enough way. It's easier to go all 🥺 at a depressed man moping in a chair, isn't it? Ignore how said depressed man has hired two misanthropes to Forge demons to routinely send to slaughter innocent humans! It's off-screen, after all :) you don't need to see it :)

But you know who gets called Unintentionally Unsympathetic in the show?

And here I say what I said about Mathias: there is nothing "unintentional" about this, the show has zero pity for the peasants who were slaughtered. Much like you, person who roots for Dracula, the writing too painted them as stupid because believing the CHURCH BAD, and therefore, like all stupid people, deserving of gruesome punishment. Peasants are low-class and religious, and as such deserve death. "Cool" murderers like Dracula and Isaac, who are so intelligent and above the petty masses, instead deserve everything on a silver platter.

I really despise this show and the messages it sends. And the general anti-game bias, of course.

You know I made enough serious and angsty posts about Vashmeryl, and for whatever reason my mind remind of an scene in Servant x Service that I think would fit vashmeryl way too much.

You can even decide if the scene fits better in any of the versions, or as a canon setting or an AU but basically it goes as it follows:

Vash and Meryl have been dancing around each other for a long time, everyone knows that they like each other, a few others know that they love each other, Vash will even throw around random jokes (*cough* wishful thinking *cough*) about him courting Meryl and calling their friendly outings dates, that never go anywhere because he's too insecure to actually pursue her, and Meryl just kinda lets it slide because she also likes to indulge in that wishful thinking, because she doesn't think Vash means anything serious with it either, because did I forget to mention they're so painfully oblivious to the other's feelings? And maybe more in a selective obliviousness flavor because of their personal hang-ups.

One day as Vash catches Milly having a talk with other coworkers of hers and Meryl and he goes to say hi, but ends up overhearing gossip from them, something that he often sets aside to fill Meryl on, since she's always so focused on work to enjoy them, and in between all the bustling and noise and him attempting to hear, he ends up hearing about Meryl upcoming wedding!! And honestly his expression would probably be worthy of this reaction:

To say that he ends up feeling depressed would be a severe understatement, he is absolutely deflated, dragging himself up everywhere and carrying a cloud over his head with everyone he talks to, breaking into tears if he so much as hears or sees anything romantic, and actually worrying people or downright scaring them because on top of it he goes around talking about nonsensical fatalistic stuff.

When he sees Meryl he debates for way too long on asking her because he's afraid of blowing it up, of crying or yelling, so he barely musters enough courage to ask super vague questions which she only answers with non-committal responses, but because of his state of mind, everything she says is warped into some sort of lovey-dovey filter of her talking sweet nothings about her future husband.

Which is just the type of distorted thinking you would expect someone like Vash to have, especially because most of these conversations tend to go along the lines of this:

Vash: ...So... when it's the big day?

Meryl *thinkin about some weekend plans*: Um, if everything is ready by then in 2 months...

Vash: you... look so happy...

Meryl: Of course! I've been postponing it for a long time and I'm done waiting!

Vash: ...I guess I did make you wait then...

Meryl *thinking about her schedule*: Well you were a little late I guess?

Vash: ...who is he?

Meryl *looking behind her*: Jim ... from accounting I think?

Vash *thinking*: She would marry a random dude instead of me?? 🥺😭

And as it turns out the whole misunderstanding ends up being something dumb, like maybe Meryl being a guest at a coworker's wedding or something of the like, and that he absolutely gets embarrassed when he figures out...

But it also makes him realize that he can't keep hesitanting about his feelings for Meryl.

I honestly enjoyed Striker in this episode! I love seeing a wackier side of him and not just edgy edge lord, low voice, "I'm gonna eat your kids" through the whole episode. I understand why some people were super disappointed in him not being as threatening as he was in the first episode, but hey. This is a cartoon about dumb demons and sex, I try not to take it too seriously already! (⁠๑⁠•⁠﹏⁠•⁠)

(I also wanna say this now, I was also one of the people taken back by the change in voice actors, but I ain't even gonna let that bother me too much: I know folks like Norman are gonna be mighty expensive or too busy to keep around. As sad as it is, if I can get used to Stolas new voice, I can do the same for this one as long as it means more Strike!)

Speaking of Striker, the main criticism I keep seeing is that he was too egotistical, and because of that statue everyone is just saying he was another Chaz. But I honestly don't get this one?

Striker was ALWAYS just as entitled and self centered in the first episode: Did we forget this man literally made a song all about how awesome he is (That didn't even rhyme) And his speech to Blitz where he talked about how he was above the imps? The statue seems pretty in character for him! Striker has always sucked his own dick, maybe it was a little overzealous but definitely not enough for me to say he was just a full blown Chaz!

Plus, that man still took his job pretty damn serious! Never once was Striker incompetent or a dumbass in this episode. He knew his mission and he was damn malicious about, I mean if you gonna try to tell me this man wasn't just as bloodthirsty as he was last time-

This man has never once hesitated to hurt anyone who gets in his way or just for the fun of it and I think it still shows greatly here!

All and all, I have to disagree with everyone saying his character was "ruined" or "too Chaz like" Striker definitely did not spend the episode going on and on about how his dick is the biggest or how everyone wants to fuck him like Chaz would. (R.i.p Chaz, I love you sweetie!) As left field as the statue was, it definitely didn't steal from the fact that this man was once again determined to finish his job. Which got taken away from him by Stella at the last minute, which he was super bummed about, but he does get paid extra soooo! 🎉🎉🎉

(Full disclaimer: I didn't really care for the Stella part of the episode, I do like the voice actor for snowy owl though. But overall they really were just there...it's really hard to say anything about it other than the fact that she didn't want Stolas killed sooooo (⁠＠⁠_⁠＠⁠;⁠))

Now for the big stuff: The pacing.

I have to say...I do have to agree with everyone when they say the pacing was all over the place. I have to admit: With all the trailers that we were getting, I was expecting this bad boy to be long as hell! At least a good 25 to 30 minutes because we were getting all kinds of things! But man...

Even though the little vet visit was funny, and I am a huge fan of that cute lil goat doctor, it did take away from the actual tension. I came here for badass Striker! And not to mention M&M barely got time to shine as well! The pacing really was just:

I feel like we totally got robbed on a much more epic fight and some shades thrown from M&M and Striker, especially when it was a highlight of the trailer! These two being able to properly settle a score with Striker would have really made for such an amazing tension scene since they were the main ones who were affected by him in the first episode. LIKE GUYS, LET MOX AND MILL SHINE WHEN BLITZO ISN'T AROUND, I BEG YOU! THEY'RE AMAZING TOO!! 😭

I will stand by everyone when they say: WE NEED MORE MILLIE DAMNIT!

The ending with Stolas definitely tugged at my heart strings, I won't lie! But again, I'm not here for the Stolitz angst, I was just here to see Strikey boy. WHO DIDN'T DIE, SO YES! TAKE THAT TWITTER!!! MY BOY GETS TO HUNT ANOTHER DAY, AND NOT ONCE DID HE GET HIT BY A TRAIN, IN FACT HE APPARENTLY LOVES THEM SO HA!!

All and all, I will say Harvest moon was peek Striker. It's gonna be hard to ever top that, Norman Striker will forever be missed! But at the end of the day, I did enjoy seeing my favorite cowboy again, and there's apparently some more lore behind him as well that we'll hopefully get to see in the later seasons. I'm just glad I can easily sleep tonight knowing that he wasn't just killed off in the second episode we get him in! 🙏

So it was a good time all around! Especially watching it with my favorite person 💕

I honestly didn't know how Billy would react, would he call me some slur? Would he dump me? Would he get all offended about it and go off about what a disgrace I am? It's all I've been thinking about since I came to terms with my decision on wanting to start the process of transitioning. I love Billy, I want him to be here with me but I have no clue how he's going to react and I want him as my support system. I rocked up to his house, glad his parents weren't home and that I could talk with him in the privacy that I desperately needed. 

Billy allowed me into his home, he spoke with me about everything he had planned for a date but quickly stopped once he noticed my nervous expression. 

"What's wrong, you can talk to me Y/N" He reassured taking my hands, I took a deep breath, not wanting to cry in front of him or over the situation. This is meant to be special and I won't let Billy be a jerk about it for long. 

"Just don't yell or be a dick, please," I begged, squeezing his hands for comfort, he nodded and kissed my cheek before letting me continue.

"I want to talk to you about something really important to me, it's freaking me out because I want you to be here with me and I want you to be along the way. But obviously, I understand if you don't but I just don't want you to be mean about it. Please." 

"Billy, I want to transition, I'm coming out to you. So, I'm wanting to be classified, I guess, as someone who is transgender and that then means I no longer identify as female but male." He stared at me for a few seconds, I felt my hands grow sweatier as I waited for his reaction. 

"Oh, sweetheart, I'm so proud of you!" He pulled me in for a tight hug, placing kisses all over my face, I was stunned, to say the least. I never expected this reaction from him, I held him tightly and let a few chuckles escape my lips. 

"What?" I mumbled out, still surprised by his reaction, Billy held my face in his hands and smiled brightly at me. 

"I'm so glad you told me! Alright, tell me what you wanna do and we'll go do it right now! We'll go to the department of medical certificates and we'll change your gender what pronouns do you want me to use? Tell me everything that you want to do." I smiled happily, holding him tightly and felt my heart flutter at the support Billy was giving. 

"I want to use he/him pronouns please, I don't feel comfortable with she/her anymore, I haven't for a long time. I'm gonna change my name eventually, something that feels more like me and I might get hormone changes, depending on the costs and how easy it is to access it all." Billy cupped my face, smiling brightly and shook his head. 

"I'll pay for it all, I'll be there every step of the way, I don't care what it takes. As long as you're still happy, I wanna be there for you and I'm never gonna stop supporting you through this. We'll find other females to males and we'll get you into talk groups so when those idiots get you down, you know who you can talk to who have been or are where you are. I want you to have people who feel what you're feeling and so if I don't understand you can talk with them." 

"I love you, Billy. Thank you, I've been freaking out about telling you. But thank you for being here with me, thank you for supporting me, thank you for loving me." 

"I'll always love you, sweetheart, I'll bake you a cake that has that rainbow flag, yeah? Gilbert... Gilbert Baker, that's who invented in 19...." 

"In 1979." I finished, loving that he already knew all this, Billy ran around the room, grabbed a couple of markers and ran back to me. He grabbed my arm, colouring in the rainbow flag on my skin, and then did the same on his arm. 

"Maybe, we can invent a flag? I'm gonna protest until somebody makes one." (In 1999 is when the transgender flag was created) 

"I'd like that," I whispered, smiling as he kissed my lips. 

Billy took my hand, dragging me to the car, we got to the store and I followed Billy around the store as he bought a bunch of party stuff and cake baking stuff. 

"Sweetheart, I want to make you a surprise, could you go watch a movie so I can get everything ready. Here's some money." He whispered, kissing my lips, holding my hands with a smile as I nodded and thanked him for lending me some money. I ran to the cinema, watched a movie and once it was done, Billy was there with a bouquet of flowers that were assorted in rainbow colours. I blushed at the thought, I took them from his hands, smiling and walked with him to his car. We made it home, and as soon as I got to my room, I was bombarded with balloons, streamers, flashing lights and a poster posted above my bed. The cake was on my bed, and cupcakes were around the bed. 

The poster had a hand-drawn closet and a rainbow flowing out of it, stating "I'm out bitches!" I giggled at the words he wrote. The cupcakes were different colours of the rainbow, the cake had fondant formed as a rainbow and the rest of the cake had different coloured icing swirls, pretty much there was a lot of icing. 

I jumped into Billy's arms, grinning as he held me off the ground, I was so happy with Billy and I'm glad he's still in love with me. 

"You're so perfect, I love you, I love you so much. Thank you for trusting me with this. I love you." He whispered, smiling as he fiddled with my hands. 

"I love you too, thank you for being great about it. Thank you for still being sweet and awesome." 

"You're my boyfriend, of course, I'm gonna love you no matter what." I flustered at his words, it felt great hearing the word 'boyfriend' and it made me feel more of who I am rather than what I was playing. 

"I'm your boyfriend," I whispered giddily, Billy chuckled at my words, swooping down to kiss my lips and twirling me around as the lights continued to flash around. I closed the door and grabbed a cupcake then handed it to Billy before I ate a cupcake of my own. 

Billy and I sat on my bed, eating cake and riding a sugar-high, Billy didn't stop pampering me. He always made sure that every day was a new step in my transition and that I still wanted him here with me. Which I did, he was supportive and surprised me with presents that helped along with transitioning and comforting me when those who didn't agree with my life choices said shitty things.

Billy came to my window with a rainbow wing on his head, dressed in a rainbow tutu and rainbow suspenders he had a bare chest to top it all off. It was a very pleasant surprise to see, I loved how he'd do the little things like this and another great thing was that he used he/him straight away and never screwed up with things from when I was considered female.

You and THE James "Bucky" Barnes sat at your very first press junket for the new rom-com you two were starring in. This was your big breakout role, according to your agent. If this movie does well, then you'd be on your way to becoming a household name!

Your legs were bouncing. Your first ever interview and you were afraid you might mess up somehow. You didn't want to say the wrong thing or look stupid.

Bucky, who's become accustomed to your little mannerisms over the last year of working on this film with you, reached over and rested a hand on your leg.

You looked over to him and he smiled, "It'll be fine. You're gonna be great."

You shyly smiled back at the older star, feeling your cheeks heat up, "I know, but at the same time, I feel like I'm gonna say or do something stupid."

"We've all been there, sunshine. If you do embarrass yourself, I'll just do something even more embarrassing so you don't feel alone." he nudged you with his shoulder and you giggled, "Thanks, Buck."

Hearing your giggle made Bucky blush. He mentally scolded himself for getting all blushy and nervous around you, but he couldn't help it. You drew him in like a moth to a flame. You were so warm and bright, like the sun, hence the nickname he'd given you.

Over the course of the year of filming, Bucky's gotten to know you, become your friend. Being almost ten years older than you and a significant amount of films and shows under his belt, he helped guide you through your first big project. He promised himself that, even though you two were to play love interests on screen, he'd only remain friends with you. But you made it so easy to fall for you. The date scenes for the film felt so real, Bucky would sometimes forget that it was all fake. And once the director yelled cut, he was a little surprised and somewhat ashamed that the feelings he felt during filming continued to stay.

He hoped you might've felt the same way. You had to right? The way you looked at him was so much different to how you looked at everyone else. You loved spending time with him in between takes, napping with him in his trailer. It could all mean more, right?

"Y/N, Bucky, hi! Thanks for coming!" E! News Reporter, Maria Menounos, came into the room, shaking your hand and Bucky's.

You smiled politely, shaking her hand, "Hi! Maria, it's nice to meet you!"

"Nice to see you again, Maria," Bucky said with a nod.

Maria sat down in her respective chair and sighed, "So, let's get started. Y/N, is it okay if I ask you some questions first?"

You gulped and Bucky gave your hand a reassuring squeeze. You glanced his way and when he nodded, you looked back at Maria, "Sure. Let's do this."

Maria proceeded to ask you some basic questions about your background, how you felt about this movie being a big break, and then she asked how you felt working with Bucky.

You chuckled, "I'm a big fan of Bucky's. When my agent told me I got the role and Bucky would be my co-lead, I freaked out. I was excited and nervous, it felt so unreal. It still feels so unreal! Like," you turned to Bucky and pointed, "You're Bucky freaking Barnes!"

Bucky laughed and wrapped an arm around you, kissing your head, "Sunshine, you're too cute. You flatterin' this old man."

You snort, "Bucky, you're not old."

"I'm ten years older than you, sweetheart."

"STILL NOT OLD!"

Maria laughed with the two of you and then turned to Bucky, "So, Bucky, now I ask: how did you feel knowing you'd be working with someone fairly new to this industry."

He shrugged, "I didn't have any expectations, honestly. I just knew that whoever they'd pick, they saw best suited for the role. Honestly, I'm glad it was Miss Sunshine here. We've gotten real close this last year." he turns to you, his arm still around you and looking at you fondly.

Maria hummed, "So, I have to ask, onscreen, you two have great chemistry, is that translate to real life as well?"

Bucky nervously chuckled and stroked the stubble on his rounding cheeks, "Well, um, honestly, yeah, I think so. I, um, I gotta admit, I got a bit of a crush on her."

You look at him, completely shocked, "Wait, what?"

Bucky shrugged, removing his arm around you and nervously rubbing the back of his neck, "Yeah, sunshine. I mean, it's hard not to fall for you when you're so sweet, caring, funny, beautiful."

You look at Maria, who is equally shocked, and she says, "I'm speechless."

And you snort, "How do you think I feel, Maria?!"

"While we were filming, my friends were making fun of me 'cause they saw how smitten I was with her. I just-I dunno," he looks back at you, "she makes it so easy to fall for her."

You felt your heart soaring at Bucky's confession, "I've fallen for you too, Bucky."

"You have?"

"How could I not? You're handsome, kind, hilarious-"

"You're really strokin' my ego here, sunshine," Bucky says with a laugh.

"It's true!"

Maria let out a laugh of disbelief and looked at the camera, "Well, um, you've heard it here folks! Looks like love is brewing between our leads here!" and then she looks back at you two, "I wish you guys all the best!"

You and Bucky shook her hand and got up from your chairs after the producer announced that they're clear.

Bucky looked at you with regret, "I'm sorry."

You tilted your head to the side in confusion, "What for?"

"I shouldn't have unloaded all of that in the interview."

"Would you have said anything at all if she didn't ask?"

"I...I don't know."

"Well, I'm glad to know that we both know each other's feelings. Throughout filming, I was always wishing that the words and kisses we shared were real."

"Me too," Bucky murmured, he leaned in, resting his head against yours, "When we have some time, can I take you on a date?"

"Absolutely," you gave him a kiss on the nose that left him beaming.

Girl… when I say the title of this chapter I knew I had to prepare my heart and I was so very right. I had to read that chapter twice… my heart broke both times. I know this is necessary but still I cried a little. Hyunjin has so much to work through and I think y/n does too honestly… what they had wasn’t healthy.

Y/N is so so so right, she deserves more then what jinine is willing to offer right now and her line “Not when my heart is the one at stake" … hit home for me. Im glad my girl is willing to stand up for herself and protect her heart.

My heart does ache for Hyunjin tho, I will give him that. His confusion and fear of commitment is valid but it’s unfair of him to want y/n to sit around while he figures it out. He needs to do some deep soul searching maybe see a therapist 😂… and get it together. Then come back to y/n when his intentions are clear and he knows what he wants. I mean him not even being able to say that a exclusive relationship with y/n is a possibility is just so absurd. She said it best “You can't have everything, Hyunjin"

This line makes me anxious for whats to come… “He wanted to scream at him, ask him why the hell he had done it and ruined what the two of you had just like that, but that could wait” like I don’t wanna see Felix get yelled at he is trying to be a good friend to everyone and doesn’t wanna see either of his friends get hurt. It’s got to be such a hard position to be in… stuck in between two friends who do nothing but hurt each other

Overall this chapter was heartbreaking and beautiful. It was real and raw and made me emotional in all the right ways I can not wait to see whats next. Hopefully Minho and y/n’s reconciliation and reunion is in the works cause she definitely needs her friends after that roller coaster. Plus I feel like Minho would be proud of her for standing up for herself like she did.

Katherine also seems very cold in this. Maybe it’s just because she didn’t like the interactions she had with Jack - which is very understandable. Additionally, I kinda felt like she still hadn’t warmed up to the Newsies even a little bit until right after she started dancing with them in KONY.

With that being said, I’m kinda worried about how the romance is gonna be set up between them because right now, Jack seems butthurt and Katherine seems to be slightly mad/annoyed (?) at him.

Conclusion: Every time I watch Newsies I fall in love with it 10x more. I also try not to scream at myself for discovering this show so late. I was looking at the old toursies schedule yesterday and I saw that Toursies had performed literally 20 minutes away from where I live and I just wanted to ugghhhh *screams in I-wish-I-had-a-time-machine*. But the 54 Below 10th anniversary announcement came out yesterday and finding out about it today made me so incredibly happy ahshshwhsh I really hope they stream it because words cannot express how much I love this show, how much it means to me and how much it has changed my life.

What a wondrous day of spring it was in the Great Hall, the stronghold of the pointed hat witches. You were standing in a hallway of the Assembly, the seat of those who sought to protect the secrets of the witches. You were waiting for Estheath, but something held you back. You were nervous, so very nervous. He was one of the Knights Moralis after all. The Deputy Officer of the Magic Security Council no less. Would he even…

You shook your head to get rid of the thought.

“Do it.”

You spun around and came face-to-face with Utowin, leaned to look over your shoulder, his eyes fixed on Estheath standing a few feet away. Then he turned his head to you, a smirk on his lips.

“Leave me alone,” you mumbled, feeling your face heat up. His smirk widened to give way for a short laugh and nudged you in the side whilst standing up straight again.

“But honestly do it. And do it now. ´Else I´ll do it myself.”

“You´re asking him out yourself?” you smiled.

“Hey, why not. If you can´t do it, I will. For you,” he added, his voice now serious.

“You wouldn´t dare,” you laughed.

He only shrugged and sauntered away.

And now you were back alone with your thoughts. You already started to miss Utowin´s presence. Then again, this was something you should do alone. But would he even reciprocate your feelings? He, a Deputy Officer, you, a-

“(Y/N), I did not expect to see you here?”

Oh no, oh no, he was standing right in front of you.

“Yes! I mean, well, I wanted to speak to you?”

Your face was on fire, heart racing, hands gripping unto your witches’ robes.

“Here?” he discreetly looked at the yelling twins a bit farther off, jumping around - “like mad men”, as he would say.

“We can go to Argentgard, the Silverwood trees are even more beautiful at this time of the year. That is actually what I came to ask you. Maybe a little walk after your duties for today?”

He nodded slowly.

“I believe I can arrange that.”

Then a smile graced his lips, and he gave you a quick nod before leaving to scold his subordinates.

The Silverwood trees stood proud and tall, wind blowing softly through the leaves. Many witches were out bustling on the main streets of the Great Hall, for a Spring Festival was being held. Beldaruit was said to be there as well, and you were sure of it too, after all, what better place to see magical peculiarities at, than the magnificent festivals the town offered.

You saw tiny flowers on your way to the grove, breaking their way through the sun-warmed earth to welcome the light of day. Blue and yellow and pink were they, little things of beauty and childish grace. For a second you hoped he wouldn´t come. To have this image of blooming nature for yourself alone, but you shook away that thought and then you heard the soft rustling of robes behind you and knew he was there.

And what a sight to behold he was. His long hair flowing with the breeze, flower petals following its path.

“(Y/N),” the corners of his lips moving upwards a little as he spoke.

“Deputy Officer Estheath,” you bowed your head a bit, a small smile on your lips, on the verge of teasing.

A finger appeared under your chin to softly lift it.

“Please, (Y/N), don´t be all to childish,” he said, but the glimmer in his eyes gave his amusement away.

His gaze was soft and warm, his eyes a stark contrast to the pink flowers you could see grazing the path behind him. How much knowledge these eyes held, you could only imagine, and to get only a piece of it, just a bit more than the fleeting tastes you got on your occasional walks through the Argentgard together.

You broke away just when his fingers disappeared. He offered you his arm, which you gladly took. He was comfortable with you, you reasoned, and Utowin wouldn´t encourage you if there was no hope. You breathed in to prepare and-

“Look,” his hushed voice interrupted your thoughts. As you followed his gaze you saw a deer with her fawn a little away from the path, to your right, behind the Silverwood trees. “You see the fawn laying there? It must have been born not too long ago.”

At that moment, the mother looked up to look at you two. Slowly, Estheath led you down the path, now more on the left, further away from the mother and her fawn.

Birds were chirping their songs on the tops of the trees and the rustling in the bushes gave away some foxes and rabbits, and even a straying cat once. It was calm, and warm and – above all – quiet. You knew he enjoyed the quiet, only saying the occasional word, pointing out some animals or rare and beautiful plants. And so did you, next to him. Like this, you were at ease.

You sat down at a riverbank, rippling away into the trees towards the town. At this point, you couldn´t even remember why you had been so nervous before. You would always be safest with him.

“Estheath,” your voice matching the tranquillity of the place, as not to disrupt it.

His fingers grazed your hand telling you to continue.

“If I am a butterfly, you are the flowers.”

“Just as I am drawn to you.”

You smiled to yourself, he always did understand you. One of the countless things you loved about him.

“And what does that make us?”

Both of you looking out to the river.

“Two magnets seeking to touch.”

“And what if they do?”

He stayed silent and you looked up at him. His eyes were fixed on the river and his cheeks were dusted in the shade of cherry blossoms. So you answered for him, eyes solely on him:

“They find completion not within themselves, but in what they had felt and desired for so long; finally satisfied and calm.”

At that he looked at you. Then he raised his hand to lift your chin yet again and when you finally cradled his face in your hands, your lips met his. Softly and satisfying.

Truly, there had never been anything to be worried about. Not here, next to him and his lips on yours on this wondrous day of spring.

AND THE SCREENSHOT HOLY HELLL THE LENGTHS I WENT FOR A FUCKING SCREENSHOT LMAOOO tbh the first plan was to play the DS version, but I figured that would take even longer so I settled with the Switch version instead since it was faster (it took me only 2 hours to get all the female Combee and it was hell on earth) and idk i thought it was really cute of Hyuck to do that 🥺💖

It's more on the fact that he knew that Y/N still loved Pokemon with all her heart. Hyuck knew how much it made her happy and might as well use that as a means of telling her how much he loves her, you know? It's what brought them closer after all and why not used it again to bring them together this time?

Ah, it was such a treat to write all of this to be honest, it was hard but it was fun and I'd do it again! (im doing it again except with Jaemin this time!!)
