EVENT TIMELINE

IC Timeline: Canonically, the snowstorm will suddenly pass through New York on Tuesday, February 1st.

OOC Timeline: Members will have from February 1st through February 8th to post their initial starters around the snowstorm. After 2/8, no new starters can be posted, but writers are free to continue their event thread until it's conclusion. An announcement will be made on both days when the event has started and ended.

EVENT DETAILS

Now that the pairings are announced, members are encouraged to reach out to the mun of their paired partner to plan out what will occur between the characters. Members are free to take liberties with the snowstorm backdrop to create whatever situational atmosphere they'd like - they can be as comedic, lowkey, absurd, mundane, adrenaline-seeking, or subtle as you'd like! If you're interested in more concrete details prior to the weather report on Tuesday, the 2014 Gulf Coast Winter Storm serves as a reference point!

Pairing Threads:

The primary reason behind the event is to encourage character interaction between characters who may not have engaged with each other before. As such, character threads are highly encouraged between the assigned pairing. Members can choose if they'd prefer to have their threads set during the action of the snowstorm (ex. thread of two character chatting while stuck in an ATM vestibule together until the power comes back on) or after the snowstorm (ex. first thread are characters running into each other two days after being stuck together in the ATM vestibule during the snowstorm).

Threads have no set length, neither in writing nor in IC time. The encounter between characters can be as brief as twenty minutes or as long as an overnighter, while threads can be full on multi-paras or simple gif conversations.

Additional Threads:

Members are also free to take advantage of the setting to engage in other snowstorm related threads during this time period, and are not limited to only engaging with their assigned partner. Other plotted threads and open starters are welcome! (ex. after being freed from the ATM vestibule, your character briefly seeks warmth at a nearby grocery store with other patrons, where an open starter may be set - or they return home to their roommate for a closed starter!)

Against Arjuna Alter, we had Super Karna. Against Zeus, we had Romulus-Quirinus. Against Wodime, it was Beryl and Morgan who pulled off the clutch. Against Surtr, we had Ophelia and Napoleon intervene.

Morgan's multiple full powered clones were a problem because Chaldea didn't bother acquiring superior firepower from elsewhere except for the Black Barrel. We walked into Camelot without a trump card of our own, expecting things to work out. Small wonder we got steamrolled.

The only one who could possibly counter Morgan was sitting quietly in a Garden because of personal issues, the other one was waiting to backstab us and why Lord Camelot couldn't stop Morgan's Magecraft attacks when it could stop a planet-piercing beam is something I'll never figure out.

We did everything we thought we needed to defeat her, allying with the Northern fairies and Cnoc, ringing the bells of pilgrimage and empowering the Child of Prophecy Castoria, persuading Barghest, sending Muramasa to assassinate her as a failsafe resort.

But even with all those things AND Melusine abandoning her post under Aurora's order, Morgan was probably seconds away from killing everyone, Master and Castoria included, before she was knocked off the throne by deceived Woodwose.

Also no, Merlin can't defeat Morgan. She was the one who put him in that Garden in the first place. She can't kill him according to her own words, but she sure can reimprison him again.

Oberon is a different case, he said he figured he can't defeat Morgan alone, and even if he could, that wouldn't realise his final goal of destroying Fairy Britain.

Except Merlin picked up Independent Manifestation A. At that rank, the person exists across all space and time. Heck, the man sent a copy to get imprisoned. He could dispel the copy and send another, it wouldn't bother him one bit. His personal gripes is what keeps him from abusing the skill like nobody's business.

His feats of creating copies means he could replicate what Morgan did. His feat of diverting mana to Chaldea means he could utilise it himself too. And since he's effectively immortal, he has endless attempts in hand unless Morgan figures out how to counter Independent Manifestation.

Morgan is a genius, but Merlin is both her teacher and the current Grand Caster, a genius of magic himself. The two are stated to be equals in Garden of Avalon. So yeah, he's the only one who could take her on.

No we didn't. Chaldea knows that a Lostbelt King has the power to match forces of nature. Even the weakest one we know of had been at the level of a genuine Grand servant.

We had no trump cards. Chaldea allied with a bunch of mooks, barely got Castoria powered up and thought we'd defeat an LB King. Just think how stupid that was.

We didn't even bother preparing an Anti-Morgan weapon like we did for the rest. The fact we defeated even one of her clones, that were as strong as the original, is even more telling. Morgan needed to rely on numbers to overwhelm a bunch of mooks. That's not a very positive indication of her power.

That's kind of an assumption. The reason the three were an unkillable death-squad is because all three could spam her absurd skills repeatedly. We barely beat the first one, of course three would cause problems. But that doesn't mean we can discard statements when they clearly stated she was just as strong.

What else could we have done to prepare? Send Castoria to countless pilgrimages to get her stronger? There was no time and whatever number Castoria do would always be inferior to Morgan's because she had 4000 years to do them.

That's somewhat true. Of course, if Ritsuka still possessed their Shadow Servants, then things change. It gives us other options. And even then, shouldn't Mash be able to tank Morgan's blows?

Also I am not doing Merlin dirty, he is great, but Morgan is weaponizing her magecraft more.

Frankly, we don't know. Merlin's battle style are illusions so powerful they warp the world to his whims, the stuff that even genuine Gods fall prey to. Just see how a copy of his handled Cernunnos. He's also shown a long history with Excalibur, being the one who received it from the lake and gave it to Artoria, using a copy of it in battle and modifying it into Airgetlam.

Because of his philosophy of "watch the master and occasionally help", we never see him truly serious. So, we have no idea how strong he is, apart from the fact that he can instakill Divine-spirit class enemies, which is already an insane feat.

Also what Merlin did to Cernunnos is, in fact, a strong evidence to Morgan weaponizing her magecraft way more than Merlin. Merlin put Cernunnos in a dreamscape and basically reversed time, "tricking" him to give us a fighting chance, which is a grand feat, don't get me wrong.

But what did Morgan prepare to counter Cernunnos? A barrage of 12 Rhongomyniads to kill him, and the reason they didn't kill him when Castoria used them wasn't because Rhongomyniads are weaker than Excaliburs, it was because Castoria isn't used to use them, she is used to and "forged" to use Excalibur.

Because as I see it, Aesc, unlike Archer, never actually got disillusioned by her ideals, no matter how much it denied her. Where Archer considers his past ideal as delusional, Morgan just dismissed her past approach, and tried a different approach. She still clung on to the goal of saving Britain, especially as we found out one of the function of her throne later in LB6. She doesn't say it, because it's pointless to say it, but even her Bond Lines are clear, if she's given another chance, she'll work to save Britain again.

Aesc/Morgan is goddamn unbreakable.

And Aesc may not like what she became as Morgan, but was there anything about Morgan somehow disliking her own past? Because I sure never saw anything to that effect. And those two are very different things. I'm addressing how Morgan never discarded her ideals, nor did she ever disavow her past aspirations. Those are what "drown in your ideals and die" does.

Diplomat William Henry Hunt (June 29, 1869 - December 20, 1951) diplomat, was born in Tennessee.

His father, William B. Hunt, was a white slave owner who fathered many children with his female. His mother, Sophia Hunt, was one of his father’s enslaved. He had three older sisters and two younger brothers.

His mother took her children to Nashville. He worked as a porter, handyman, and jockey until he decided to go back to school. He attended Lawrence Academy and was the only African American enrolled there at the time. He enrolled in Williams College but left the school due to what he alleged to be racial discrimination. He then worked for the Price McCormick Company as a clerk in New York City.

He married civil rights leader Ida Alexander Gibbs (1904), daughter of Mifflin Wistar Gibbs. President William McKinley hired him to be his clerk and assistant. He became vice Consul in May 1899 and was chosen by President Theodore Roosevelt to succeed Mifflin Gibbs as consul in Antananarivo in August of 1901. In November 1906, he became the consul in St. Etienne, France, and remained there until the office was closed in 1927. He continued to serve as consul in Guadeloupe in the West Indies, the Azores off the coast of Morocco, and Monrovia, where he worked until he retired on December 31, 1932. He spent more time in US diplomatic posts than any other African American.

He spent much of his retirement writing a memoir about his extraordinary life as a diplomat. He interacted with diplomats from other countries and counted Kaiser Wilhelm II and J.P. Morgan as among the many prominent people he met. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

DESCRIPTION: this is a plot-based connect I very much want for my babe’s former crush/stage partner. aged 26-29, this muse was cast as the role of “ella” in the recent broadway revival of cinderella. the problem? sherri went out for that role, didn’t get it, and was made understudy for it instead (as well as swing for the stepsister role). the other problem? sherri had a massive crush on this girl. another problem? she totally wasn’t aware of that initially. a closeted bisexual and a bitterly tired woman, sherri took one look at the fresh-faced, stupidly talented younger woman who landed the part she wanted and decided to give her the cold shoulder. this muse is bubbly, warm, good-natured, probably stubborn, maybe feistier than she seems, and did not understand what she did to earn this reaction. for the entirety of the one year run of the show (august 2021-august 2022), sherri gave this girl the cold shoulder despite her multiple attempts to build bridges and warm sherri’s chilly exterior. at times, especially when alcohol or late hours were involved, it felt as if she was making waves in breaking through to sherri - softer looks, fragmented vulnerability (I love the idea of them having a moment where they unintentionally recreated this picture and things got Very Gay for a second before sherri snapped out of it)- but then sherri clamped right back up each time, biting her head off the next day, so this muse was never sure.

at least, not until the show came to an end, and the two attended the show’s closing party. sherri was particularly bitter during the event (upset that she never came to truly star and headline) and this muse had enough. tense words were exchanged in a quiet corner of the event, and the next thing this muse knew, sherri was on her, capturing her in a searing kiss that spiraled into a blur of lips and hands and muffled moans and orgasmic rushes that left both parties surprised at what occurred. and rather than talk about it, sherri instead made an immediate exit of the entire party and blocked this muse on every social media platform. they haven’t seen each other since.

this is a plot open to both flashback scenes during Cinderella and current navigations. it is because of this muse that sherri realized her closeted nature, as she had felt both a mix of jealousy over her stardom and intense attraction to her character. in flashbacks, this plot could explore their relationship from an enemies and co-workers starting point to vulnerable friendship moments up to The Cinderella Incident itself, while present conversations can navigate how these two would interact now that they are back in each other’s orbits, a year later.

sherri will definitely be a disaster bi in all situations and be a Mess around this muse in one way or another. some feelings must have been felt by this muse for sherri for The Cinderella Incident to have occurred to begin with, but whether that extended to more than just temporary desire/lust on your muse’s part can be plotted out! and if anything still remains or its just fizzled out over the year apart is another thing to plot too! i’m open to a lot!!

also, small things, but while I'm open to discussion on the fc, I do like this muse as being the brunette/ginger to sherri’s blonde, bc I have it so that sherri just calls this muse by the nickname “Cinder” when referring to her because early on during production of the show, she dubbed this muse with the nickname due to her hair color (ginger bc the flame that causes cinders or brunette like the ashes from the fire) and while she may have presented it in a fun-joking manner, it was actually given and used in a lowkey mean-spirited way (like jabbing at her having different colored hair than the blonde of traditional cinderella), and I like it being the nickname she still uses when they talk to each other.

Blog Post 6: Video Game Prototype

For the video game prototype, Abhinav and I created this roguelike dungeon crawler RPG called Labyrinth of Shadows. I am the game designer and Abhinav is the producer of the game. For our workflow, I created all the art assets and my partner programmed the game's functionality on Unity. We used some royalty free music and sound effects from Youtube (credits placed down below). The objective of the game is to break all the barrels for treasure, kill all the evil wizard enemies, and obtain the key to get out of the dungeon through a door. The controls are quite common to most pc games (WASD movement, left-click to attack, E to interact, and ESC to go back to main menu). When the player finishes all objectives, they receive a congratulations screen for saving humanity and rewards in treasure. The only issues in this game prototype are some mechanics and technical problems that can be resolved further. There could be more mechanics for the character, such as taking damage and a life system, to have the player really be put to the challenge of avoiding death and completing objectives. Another issue that can be revised is the E interactions for gathering items to be easier from all directions of movement. My partner and I plan on expanding this game for the final as we do see further potential of it. Our goal is to add more levels and polish dynamics to make the game feel more fun and real.

The Rules

Mun and muse are 21+ in age range, so adult themes will take place and be tagged as needed. Smut and too strongly triggered content will be placed under a read more and tagged accordingly. Anything under a readmore and not tagged -- it's best you not read. Trust me, I'll try a lot of themes

With that being said things like rape, incest, bestiality, the act of abuse/assault (not played out by my muse on yours or yours on mine) -- these are an absolute no. I will test out elements of supernatural, dark/horror themes and might even dabble in m-preg. If you're not okay with mpreg, ignore anything untagged and under read mores.

I will ship chemistry and with Henry (goals) and my main Henry is lovedpatiently but don't be broken, maybe we can try, otherwise i love friendships and maybe ex plots. However, I'd love to interact with other characters from the movie and books. I'd love a Nora and June more than you'd know.

I am semi-selective, meaning I'll be a bit picky who I RP with and I will be interacting with mutuals first. I'm also a bit private, this just means I won't interact with everyone. I don't want to overwhelm myself getting back into the indie world. For the most part, just ask and surely we can work something out.

I will post open starters at times and those will always be open unless deleted and you're always welcome to answer them, no matter who you are. I will admit to not always answering other Alex muses, but other characters from RWRB, canons from other things or even OCs are welcome.

My personal life will always come first, so this will make activity a bit spotty, but I'm trying, so bare with me. Again, new to the indie world and this is a sideblog for the time being.

I don't have any banned FCs right now, however no one problematic or no longer alive is obviously a no. I'd also like to add, same FCs are fine, but I will not interact with anyone doing the "same face, look the same/similar" thing unless there's like a twins plot or something.

No Mary-Sue types welcome, so have a bio for your OC, otherwise, I will respectfully decline interacting with you. It's nothing person but all characters should feel real, have flaws and not just be always perfect. I personally am one that loves the flaws, makes the characters charming to me.

Just for myself, I'll be a bit selective with who I follow and roleplay with so I don't want to get overwhelmed but also again, new back to the indie world. Just respond to an open to ask and we can surely interact.

With that being said, I am open to putting Alex in different fandoms, however, he's still always with his Henry unless otherwise discussed. I'll try to make different verse for these fandoms in time, however.

I use gifs and rp icons with small text, nothing too fancy. All I ask of you is to cut your posts. Un-cut posts are my biggest pet-peeve so please, keep this in mind before proceeding. I also don't like big/mobile gifs, so I'd appreciate those little to none, thank you. Just looks bad and the mobile gif search seems rude to some creators. I am open to threads without gifs/icons as well.

I have no triggers really but as stated, I don't care for rape, abuse, assault, suicide or self harm. They're not topics to take lightly, so I'd like little to none of these addressed on this blog if possible.

“You know, I hadn’t expected you to keep me waiting quite so long...” The femme was settled on his kitchen counter, a container of ice cream in hand, as casually as if this was her own home and her own groceries rather than a place that she had, by all accounts, broken into. Her dark brown hues had lifted as her voice did but instead of her sister entering the building, she was greeted by a face that she hadn’t seen in years. “Alexander Morgan...” There was a moment of hesitation, as if taken aback by his presence even though she was already aware that, he too, lived there. She should have felt something; discomfort, guilt, remorse, shame? But instead, there was only intrigue. “Don’t be a stranger now...come here.” Her voice was sultry, beckoning and as he approached, she slid from the counter, discarding the container and it’s remnants onto it carelessly. Slender hands wasted no time in finding his face, freshly manicured nails grazing his jaw and slowly moving back towards his neck, her eyes inspecting his features as if examining art. “Hmm, I thought you would have matured better, but...I suppose you’ll still suffice.” By now, she was dangerously close, practically able to feel his warmth radiating around him. “I’m afraid that I’ve been...kept away from the real world for a bit too long, love. I'm dying for a lavish dinner and a new dress and you...you get to make sure that I get them.” It was bold, to so blatantly use him when he already knew who she was and just what game she was playing, but if there was anything she was good at, it was knowing just how far she could push and Alex - he was more than happy to go right off the edge for her. Her gaze met his for the first time in that instant, something wicked shining just beneath their surface. “If you’re lucky, you may get to take it off of me at the end of the night too.”

Despite her focus being on the stove and hot pan currently situated in front of her, she had enough sense to note the movement in the corner of her peripheral vision, a hand reaching out to smack his own as it attempted to claim some of the what was already prepared from it’s plate. “Don’t even think about it, Alexander.” Her tone was strict as she spun around to face him, as if scolding her daughter and not someone the same age as her. “This is not some lavish mansion being occupied by a throng of dirty and unruly reality TV stars. Here, there are house rules - and those house rules state that only those who keep their sexual acts confined to their bedrooms and not the public vicinity are allowed to taste my cooking.” She pointed the wooden spoon she held as she spoke, nearing his face as if in threat. “Next time I walk into this living room and have to see anyone’s naked anything, I’m dumping ice water on…whatever it is. Or perhaps maple syrup, depending on my mood. Got it?”
