Great Power Comes with No Responsibilities
Ror men with a powerful but lazy s/o.
Requested by 🦅 anon.
Characters: Qin Shi Huang, Jack the Ripper, Buddha and Loki.
Warnings: A bit of angst in Jack's part. 😶
Notes: Do you think I wrote too much this time?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Scenario:
"Female god reader who is extremely powerful but lazy , lazy in the means she liked to lie down and sleep a lot , if she wants to she could kill zeus and she can be really intimidating but shes soft around them."
Tumblr media
Qin Shi Huang
He didn't even notice you were a god.
You looked too exhausted to function, and yet you were ready to fight whomever tried to harm him.
He would take care of any obstacles that would dare present itself to him, but he loves how you sort the situation than he does.
There were times where you offered to lift his curse, but he declined.
According to him, if he as an emperor could not endure this curse, how could he rule a nation.
You haven't heard such wise words from anyone else before. You smile at him, and gently give him a kiss on his head.
No one dares to challenge either of you as they fear the both individually.
In private, he declares his love and loyalty for you, as the two of you embrace each other.
"Even if the Heavens dare to object our love, we'll remain ontop."
Tumblr media
Jack the Ripper
He's honestly surprised how someone like you could love a man like him.
He has faced many hardships, threats and much more from people who knew him and those who don't.
However, when it comes to you, he can't help but cry a little at the smallest hint of love and kindness someone has ever given him.
Someone who is even more powerful than Zeus himself. Despite your intimidating nature, he finds it soothing.
Especially when you are so soft around him. He often wonders what he did to be loved and cherished by someone like you.
Many wanted to end his life even before he fought Hercules. He is very thankful that you continue to defend him even with your reputation at stake.
You often don't mind defending him against the other gods, after all he is your lover.
It's unknown how you two got together, but it does not matter as the two of you are head over heels for each other. (Good for you.)
"I don't know what I did to have to have you in my life, but I promise to cherish our time forever my dear."
Tumblr media
Buddha
My guy here is taking advantage of the whole situation.
You can't blame him though, he is literally in a relationship with someone who is as strong, if not stronger than a primordial god!
Many wonder how in the world did you end up with someone like him, but seeing how lazy you are, it makes sense.
Often times, when Zeus threatens to punish him, you put Zeus in his place, promising an eternity of pain should he ever hurt your lover.
The smirk on his face says it all. (Me too.)
He is happy at the fact that even though you are powerful enough to defeat Zeus, or any chief god, you don't get arrogant.
Despite how powerful you are, he treats you the same way he treats everyone, just with more affection.
You bet he's telling Jataka about you, and how much he loves you!
"Thanks for taking care of the other gods for me. I'll cuddle you later if you want honeybun."
Tumblr media
Loki
Another one on the list of taking advantage of this, however to an even greater degree. (What did you expect?)
Whenever he pranks Thor or Odin, he immediately runs to you. The two can't do anything but give him a death glare.
He's busy giggling his bum off behind your back, as you wake up from your nap and question who woke you up.
He often questions you if Zeus truly is the Grandfather of the Cosmos. To which you reply an exhausted, "No, it's only because he is powerful and looks older than he is."
At first he thought you were a demigod due to how sluggish you were acting. But quickly straightened up after seeing Zeus treat you with more respect than anyone.
He tried pranking you, but you were too tired to notice anything. And when you did notice, it backfired on him, resulting to him being confined in the emergency room.
He definitely thinks you're weird and has voiced this, but knows you won't care either way. He also tries to get a reaction from you.
He likes telling you the latest stories (or gossip) from the Heavens. You sometimes stay awake just to hear them.
"Apparently there was a rumors spreading around about Aphrodite's beauty salon."

I probably wrote too much didn't I.

Something I’ve noticed as someone reconnecting to their Jewish ancestry (I always knew I had Jewish ancestry, but was not raised connected to it or any of my other culture, we were a heavily assimilated family) is that Jewish ppl are not really allowed to just be ‘normal’ once people know we are Jewish/Jewish descendant. Like the minute someone finds out I have Jewish ancestry I am suddenly not a person anymore, but just a Jew.
And I’m not saying Jewish people aren’t people, but in my experience it has felt like my personhood is taken away the minute someone finds out about my Jewish ancestry. I am no longer allowed to be anything other than this projection/caricature of what people think Jewish people are/are like or I am constantly experiencing people ‘testing’ me on whether or not I’m a Zionist (bc I guess the value of a Jew is determined by whether or not they have ‘good’ politics).
It’s happened even with my own (ex) friends, they constantly brought up Israel and Zionism after finding out I was Jewish descent even though they have never once spoken of or cared about the I/P conflict beforehand, and would only bring it up in response to me mentioning anything relating to Jewishness… It’s just a weird thing I’ve noticed that I’m sure many others already realized but I guess I’ve just been blind to it for so long due to me being disconnected. But now that I’ve been openly reconnecting for about 1 1/2 years I’ve noticed it much more and it’s just so annoying.
Thank you so much for your ask.
Mazel tov on reconnecting, it's great to see someone appreciating their Judaism.
Unfortunately your experience is very common. Centuries before there was the modern state of Israel, Jews have faced persecution, discrimination, and massacres over the accusation of dual loyalty. This dual loyalty accusation was not always exclusive to Israel, at times it was levied against us for being more loyal to other Jews or to our religion than our host nation.
I have two jobs, one as a researcher of antisemitism and another as a bartender. I have been open about my judaism at work and always wear my magen David earrings and necklace. This has opened me up to receiving many antisemitic comments on almost a daily basis from customers and coworkers. Mostly, it is people asking me about if I support Israel or not. I have never seemed to be able to answer this question the "right way" — the conversation ends awkwardly after I give my answer, or they press me "But what about [insert complete disinformation they got from Twitter]? What do you have to say about that?" They obviously don't really want an answer, what they want to hear is a firm denouncing and further demonization from me.
I wish I could say that in my research I see a decrease in antisemitism, but after a decade we have tracked a high spike in the last two years. It appears to only be getting worse.
It is a difficult time to reconnect with the tribe, but it's never a bad time. As you have experienced, and as our ancestors have experienced, even one drop of Jewish blood makes you appear as a threat. Regardless of whether or not you reconnected, you would be "othered" and persecuted with the rest of us. Reconnecting, at the very least, means you can also experience the joys of Judaism, rather than just the hardships.
That is what Pesach is all about — we remember the suffering we have endured so that we may appreciate the joy when we see it.
Next year in Jerusalem. Chag sameach.

🇺🇸MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND🇺🇸
Unfortunately, today, way too many people look at Memorial Day as a recreational day, simply a later date from school or a settled day from work. Military families and families of countless veterans, on another hand, have been afflicted by the pain and suffering of seeing their brothers, husbands or children set off to war, you start with the American Revolution until today's actions in the Middle East, through the devastating Civil war, into World War I and II, and throughout the Vietnam and Korean Wars. In their mind, Memorial Day is just a day to think on their loss and suffering, and to honor those who have served to guard America's interests.
Saying goodbye to a family member you could at almost no time see again is probably the most devastating feeling a relative may perpetually have, because they only never truly know if that individual is coming back. Their heart skips a defeat everytime that the doorbell rings while their family member is abroad, performing the best duty they'll perpetually perform while they defend justice and the quest for liberty. In the home, though, their family members dread as soon as they open that door, since the pulse quickens and horrible thoughts of a note of imminent loss haunts them. They fear answering the phone. They dread reading their mail. Life itself becomes an apparently endless, helpless watch for news, hopefully good news, but potentially news of the worst possible kind.
For a few people, the lucky ones, they just endure worries of losing a family member in battle for a couple years, but that in and of itself might have long-lasting, life altering ramifications. Worries causes great stress, making families walk on eggshells for entire tours of duty, as children go without their mother or father for long periods of time. For too many, the headlines and the ramifications are worse. They lose a family member to war, or their family member is seriously injured, maimed, or psychologically damaged while they defend our nation and its interests.
Let's not your investment veterans themselves and the sacrifices they've made. We only have to start the headlines to start to see the hardships they face, the daily dangers they deal with, and the horrors they endure. Veterans are and have now been our protectors, our defenders, and often at great cost, even for the survivors of war. War itself is hell, since the famous saying goes, and these many, wonderful men and women have entered hell willingly for centuries to guard the America they love, and to create another for many Americans.
In just about any case you are able to consider, on Memorial Day, these veterans who protect us from dangers abroad, and who've protected us from dangers for centuries, deserve our respect and our remembrance, and yet Memorial Day 2024 Weekend has converted into a cook out once you start the pool for the summer.
"Traditional observance of Memorial day has diminished on the years. Many Americans nowadays have forgotten this is and traditions of Memorial Day. At many cemeteries, the graves of the fallen are increasingly ignored, neglected. Many people no further remember the appropriate flag etiquette for the day."
In days past, great parades were thrown in honor of the wonderful veterans. Cities and townships gave speeches and held Memorial galas. In Israel, even today, to celebrate their Memorial Day, their television lists the names of all of the dead they've lost to war, and that simple process takes all the day. Perhaps we don't need to attend quite that extreme to honor the veterans who've served to guard us, but nonetheless, our ambivalence towards the real meaning behind Memorial Day is just a bit much.
It's high time that people do remember the American veterans which have made Memorial day and those many cook outs and days off that the Holiday now symbolizes possible. This season, we must try to go to a battle memorial, the grave of an expert, or at the least stop in a minute of silence reserved for the numerous who've sacrificed their lives to guard and supply the wonderful lives and opportunities that people have open to us today. This season, we must also honor and remember the numerous sacrifices of the families of veterans and war heroes, because if you believe about any of it, they sacrificed a lot for many of us Americans themselves.… ‿ℒℴνℯ⁀❤️always with ℒℴѵℯ ❤️🕊🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

All About Hilsa Meaning And Symbolism
The hilsa fish, often considered a delicacy and a cultural icon in many parts of South Asia, is more than just a source of food. With its silvery scales and migratory behavior, the hilsa carries a deep symbolic significance in various cultures, spiritual practices, and folklore. It represents prosperity, resilience, adaptability, and transformation. In this article, we will explore the spiritual meaning of hilsa, its symbolism in different countries, how hilsa symbolism varies with different colors, what it means when hilsa appears in dreams, and uncover the myths and legends that surround this revered fish.
Tumblr media
Hilsa Spiritual Meaning
The spiritual meaning of the hilsa fish is tied closely to its natural behavior and characteristics. Known for its long migratory journeys from the ocean to rivers for spawning, the hilsa embodies themes of perseverance, transformation, and the cyclical nature of life.
Resilience And Endurance
One of the most powerful spiritual meanings of the hilsa is its representation of resilience. The hilsa travels vast distances, often battling strong currents, to reach freshwater rivers to lay its eggs. Spiritually, this can symbolize endurance and the ability to overcome obstacles in life. It teaches the lesson of perseverance in the face of hardship and the strength to push through challenges to achieve one’s goals.
Adaptability And Transformation
Hilsa is a fish that thrives both in salty ocean waters and in freshwater rivers. This adaptability gives it a strong spiritual meaning related to change and transformation. The hilsa reminds us that life is full of transitions and that we must be adaptable to survive and thrive in different environments. Spiritually, the hilsa symbolizes the ability to embrace change and flow with life’s inevitable shifts.
Fertility And Abundance
In many cultures, the hilsa fish is a symbol of fertility and abundance. Its prolific spawning behavior and the large number of eggs it produces are often associated with fertility and the cycle of life. The hilsa’s abundance in certain rivers during spawning season has historically been a source of sustenance and prosperity for communities, reinforcing its symbolism of wealth and productivity in spiritual terms.
Connection To Water Elements
Water is a powerful spiritual symbol, often associated with emotions, intuition, and the subconscious mind. As a creature of both saltwater and freshwater, the hilsa connects deeply with these watery elements. Spiritually, hilsa encourages emotional flow, the release of stagnant energies, and embracing intuition. Its life in water reminds us to remain fluid in our thoughts and emotions, adapting to new circumstances and flowing with the currents of life.
Hilsa Symbolism (In Different Countries)
The hilsa fish holds cultural and symbolic value in various countries, particularly in South Asia, where it plays a significant role in both culinary traditions and folklore.
Bangladesh: National Pride And Prosperity
In Bangladesh, the hilsa is not just a fish; it is the country’s national fish and holds great cultural significance. Hilsa represents prosperity, abundance, and national identity. For centuries, hilsa has been a staple food in Bangladesh, and its availability in rivers during the monsoon season is seen as a sign of good fortune. Festivals and rituals are often centered around the hilsa, symbolizing its connection to wealth and fertility. In Bangladeshi culture, the hilsa is often a symbol of joy, celebration, and togetherness during communal meals and festivities.
India: Symbol Of Tradition And Fertility
In the eastern regions of India, particularly in West Bengal and Odisha, the hilsa holds a revered place in both cuisine and tradition. In Bengal, hilsa is considered an auspicious dish, often served during weddings, religious festivals, and family gatherings. The fish is seen as a symbol of fertility and good fortune, especially during the monsoon season when it is most abundant. In Bengali culture, offering hilsa to guests or during rituals symbolizes prosperity and blessings.
Myanmar: Cultural Delicacy And Spiritual Symbol
In Myanmar (Burma), hilsa is also a valued fish and a cultural delicacy, particularly in coastal regions. Beyond its culinary importance, hilsa is associated with the bounty of rivers and oceans, symbolizing the interconnectedness of nature and human sustenance. Hilsa is often featured in religious offerings and feasts, representing the gratitude of people for nature’s abundance.
Pakistan: Symbol Of Unity And Richness
In the Sindh region of Pakistan, the hilsa is known as “Palla” and is considered a prized catch from the Indus River. It symbolizes richness, both in the sense of economic prosperity for those who catch and trade it, and in terms of its cultural significance during special occasions. In Sindh, the hilsa is regarded as a symbol of unity and celebration, often consumed during festivals and gatherings that bring people together.
Hilsa Symbolism (With Different Colors)
Though hilsa fish are typically recognized for their silver sheen, color symbolism can play a role in spiritual interpretations, especially in dream symbolism or artistic representations of the fish.
Silver Hilsa: Purity And Wealth
The most common color associated with hilsa is silver, which represents purity, clarity, and wealth. The shimmering silver scales of the hilsa fish reflect the purity of water and the clean, flowing energy it brings. Silver is also traditionally associated with wealth and abundance, further reinforcing the hilsa’s connection to prosperity and good fortune. Spiritually, a silver hilsa can symbolize a clear path ahead or a time of abundant resources and blessings.
Golden Hilsa: Sacredness And Divine Favor
A golden-colored hilsa, while rare in nature, can carry significant symbolic weight in spiritual and artistic representations. Gold is a symbol of sacredness, divinity, and wealth. A golden hilsa might represent divine favor, a time of spiritual or material enrichment, and the fulfillment of desires. In dreams or visions, a golden hilsa may be interpreted as a sign of success, both in the spiritual and material realms.
Blue Hilsa: Depth And Intuition
In some interpretations, a blue-colored hilsa may symbolize depth, intuition, and emotional balance. Blue is often associated with water, emotions, and the subconscious. A blue hilsa can represent a deep connection to one’s inner self and the ability to navigate emotional waters with grace and wisdom. Spiritually, the blue hilsa encourages introspection and trusting one’s intuition during times of emotional turbulence.
Black Hilsa: Mystery And Protection
A black-colored hilsa, though unusual, can symbolize mystery, the unknown, and protection from negative energies. Black is often associated with the hidden or unseen, and a black hilsa may represent unseen forces at play in your life. It can symbolize the need for protection or a reminder to shield yourself from negative influences. Spiritually, a black hilsa may indicate a time for caution and introspection.
Hilsa Symbolize In Dreams
Dreams about hilsa fish can carry various meanings depending on the context of the dream and your personal associations with the fish. As a symbol of water, fertility, and abundance, hilsa in dreams often relates to emotions, intuition, and life’s cycles.
Abundance And Prosperity
One of the most common interpretations of seeing a hilsa fish in a dream is that it represents abundance and prosperity. Dreaming of catching or seeing hilsa can indicate that you are about to enter a phase of life where resources will flow freely, and opportunities for success are abundant. The hilsa’s presence in a dream may signal a time of financial gain, personal growth, or emotional fulfillment.
Emotional Flow And Intuition
Because hilsa is a water creature, dreaming of one can also symbolize emotional flow and intuition. The dream may be telling you to pay attention to your emotions and let them flow naturally, without resistance. Just as the hilsa moves between different bodies of water, you may need to navigate different emotional landscapes with grace and adaptability. The dream could encourage you to trust your instincts and inner guidance when facing challenges.
Transformation And Life Cycles
Given the migratory nature of hilsa, dreams of this fish may also symbolize transformation and life’s cyclical nature. If you dream of hilsa swimming upstream or migrating, it could indicate that you are going through a personal or spiritual transformation. The dream may be urging you to embrace the changes in your life, as they are part of a natural cycle that leads to growth and renewal.
Fertility And New Beginnings
In some cases, hilsa appearing in dreams can represent fertility, both in a literal sense (e.g., family growth or pregnancy) and in a metaphorical sense (e.g., the birth of new ideas or projects). The hilsa’s reproductive behavior can be a sign that new beginnings are on the horizon, and the dream may be encouraging you to nurture these new ventures with care and attention.
The Myths And Legends About Hilsa
The hilsa fish is deeply embedded in the folklore and mythology of South Asian cultures, particularly in Bangladesh and India. Its importance goes beyond its role as a food source, extending into the realms of spirituality, myth, and cultural identity.
Bengali Legends: The Gift Of The Monsoon
In Bengal, the arrival of hilsa during the monsoon season is often celebrated in folklore and rituals. One popular legend tells of how the monsoon rains, a sign of fertility and abundance, bring the hilsa fish into the rivers as a gift from the gods. This is seen as a blessing, ensuring that the people will have enough food for the season. The hilsa is thus revered not only as a source of sustenance but as a divine offering that symbolizes abundance and the blessings of nature.
Myths Of The Sacred Hilsa
In some myths, the hilsa is considered sacred, believed to have been a gift from the gods or a creature protected by divine forces. In certain regions of India, it is believed that harming a hilsa could bring bad luck or anger the gods, reinforcing its sacred status. These stories highlight the deep spiritual connection that people have with the fish, viewing it as more than just a creature of the rivers but as a symbol of divine favor and protection.
The Romantic Symbolism Of Hilsa
Hilsa is also featured in romantic folklore, particularly in Bengali culture, where it is often associated with love and devotion. In some traditional stories, the hilsa is used as a symbol of love and commitment, with couples exchanging hilsa as a sign of their affection and dedication to one another. This romantic symbolism adds another layer of meaning to the fish, making it a symbol of love, devotion, and the emotional ties that bind people together.
Conclusion
The hilsa fish, with its rich cultural, spiritual, and symbolic meanings, is much more than a culinary delicacy. Its enduring presence in the mythology, traditions, and spiritual practices of various cultures makes it a symbol of resilience, abundance, transformation, and emotional flow. Whether in dreams, folklore, or spiritual symbolism, the hilsa serves as a powerful reminder of the cycles of life, the importance of adaptability, and the blessings that come with perseverance and faith.

Knowledge Is Not Power
Xuefeng
October 11, 2017
(Translated by Treasure and Edited by Kaer)
Tumblr media
Knowledge is a combination of the experience and cognition accumulated by our social and productive practical activities. One can possess a wealth of knowledge, which means that they possess the “foundation” to gain power, but no matter how much knowledge they have, it does not mean that they will ever have power. It is like a library which has abundant knowledge but no power. From the point of storing knowledge, a person’s brain is only like a library.
“Knowledge is power”, is from “Meditation”, written by the seventeenth century British philosopher, Francis Bacon, which teachers delight in using to arouse students’ learning interest at school. As a result, students blindly believe that as long as they learn their lessons well which are set by schools, and as long as they grasp that knowledge, they will have the power to achieve their own pursuits and ideals after they graduate.
Knowledge comes mainly from our sense organs. However, in the view of the Greek Philosopher Protagoras, “Human is the measure of everything”. This was refuted by Francis Bacon who wrote that “It is a great mistake to conclude that our limited sense organs measure all things”. In other words, it is wrong to judge and measure all things and all forms from the limited knowledge that our sense organs can provide.
Consider a scenario in which a sexy young girl with a middle school diploma is standing next to a more mature, older lady with a Doctorate degree and both are in front of an interviewer. Which one is more likely to arouse the man’s rich imagination, alter his mood, and motivate his intense vitality? If it is the young girl, that is because knowledge is not true power since even beauty can have more power.
It is reckless and dangerous to believe that “Knowledge is power”. Not only is it a cognitive misconception, but also a thinking one. For example, to accept that “When a son is grown he takes a wife, and when a girl is mature she finds a husband” as a life knowledge is bound to bring anguish and suffering throughout their whole lives. This knowledge has lead people to make such common mistakes for thousands of years, but which accomplish no good.
Some more are:
“There are three forms of unfilial conduct but the worst is to have no descendants.”
“Filial piety is the most important of all virtues.”
“Lewdness is the worst of all sins.”
“He who does not endure hardship cannot stand up to others.”
Another example is how education and guidance are passed from parents to their children. Can a parent’s knowledge conduct and educate their children with both a full range of healthy spirits, minds, and bodies, as well as the ability to lead their own independent lives? Most fall very short.
When great changes take place in objective knowledge but we stubbornly insist on applying our traditional knowledge, we will certainly be rebuffed. Look at various religious dogmas and concepts. As they feel a loss of power, they become reactionary, resist social development, and impede natural human liberation.
In fact, prejudices and fallacy are knowledge. What are the benefits of such knowledge? None!
Our most powerful intellectual force is the power of flexible and tactful thinking.
I believe firmly that Albert Einstein’s power came not from his knowledge, but from his thinking; “How would I perceive the universe if I were riding on a beam of light?”. Those who read more and get more diplomas and more experience but form rigid ways of thinking have rarely been found to wield much power.
Lasting power comes from neither knowledge nor from powerful economic strength and national defense forces, but from sincerity, kindness, virtue, love, faith, and honesty.
Sincere deeds have power, kind behavior has power, things of virtue have power, love is a powerful force, honest quality has power, people who keep their words and their faith have power.
Conclusion: knowledge must be learned and accumulated, but knowledge has limitation, danger, and can be reactionary. Never believe blindly that having knowledge is synonymous with having power.
Rather than spending your precious time on chasing knowledge, you would be well advised to concentrate your efforts on sincerity, kindness, virtue, love, faith, and honesty, for those are the people who will enjoy lasting power. Meanwhile, take pains to develop your way of thinking by never spending time and effort reciting your former knowledge or stubbornly judging and adapting to a changing, living reality with dead, prejudicial knowledge.

Stories most people do not know, or have forgotten, because history is written by the victors, the robber barons and plutocrats, not the workers and immigrants. Yet their stories are among the most compelling in America. The story is told through the eyes of Mike Doyle who is a thirteen-year-old breaker boy in the mines of Pennsylvania. After his father tragically dies in a mine explosion, Mike assumes responsibility for supporting his destitute family who must move in with his aunt and her abusive husband. For the next four years, he must endure the hardship and grim reality that he could experience the same fate as his father as he rises in position to a miner. However, it is almost impossible to get ahead when the coal barons block the worker’s attempts to unionize for safer conditions and livable wages. In their efforts to strike, the workers are met with violence from local cops and hired policemen. Rival gangs of Irish, Welsh, and German fight over decreasing pay and benefits. This is a coming-of-age story of a young Irishman who must overcome almost impossible odds to rise above his impoverishment. Author Michael Dunn has written a grim, realistic depiction of the darker side of the Industrial Revolution in the nineteenth century. The impeccable, historical details reflect the author’s passion for bringing to light the plight of immigrants working in harsh conditions in the United States. The workplace was unsafe and often led to deadly accidents. For a family to survive, children were often forced to do repetitive work to supplement their family’s income. Mike’s younger brother loses a foot in a painful accident, resulting in devastating consequences to the family who must care for him while working for substandard wages. The vivid, sensory descriptions of the coal mine add to the heart-wrenching scene when Mike frantically searches for his trapped father after the explosion. “The air got warmer, heavier, the deeper they went. Stale, deathly. Difficult to breathe. The odor of scorched, wet wood. Melted iron. Burnt grease.” Each scene is riveting, but I found it difficult at times to connect all of the subplots with the various factions fighting each other. I suggest that you first read the glossary at the end of the book to familiarize yourself with terms and various groups before starting the story. For readers who enjoy delving into the American Industrial Revolution, I recommend reading Anywhere but Schuylkill for its gripping tale of a young Irishman striving for the American dream in the backdrop of the harsh reality of rich barons taking deadly, life-changing advantage of their workers. 7 Churchs 7 days
Apparently, a false prophetess was leading believers into compromise. The church was engaging in sexual immorality and dabbling in idolatry. It is possible that “Jezebel” was her real name, but it is more likely the name was a metaphorical reference to the Jezebel of the Old Testament—another idolatrous woman who opposed God’s ways. Rather than rebuke this false teacher and send her out of the church, the believers in Thyatira were allowing her to continue her deception.
Old Testament queen Jezebel, who corrupted her husband, King Ahab, and enabled Baal worship to infiltrate the nation of Israel (1 Kings 16:30-31).
Few Old Testament figures were as reviled in God’s eyes as Jezebel. It is serious to lead God’s people into any form of sin, let alone sexual immorality and idol worship. This is why Jesus Himself warned of the punishment awaiting anyone who harms or misleads His children: “whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it is better for him that a heavy millstone be hung around his neck, and that he be drowned in the depths of the sea” (Matthew 18:6).
Unfortunately, the church at Thyatira had not only given this Jezebel a platform to preach. They had also failed to challenge her false teaching. They had instead chosen to follow some of her sinful ways.
False teaching, heresy, and other perversions or distortions of the gospel must swiftly be challenged with the authoritative Word of God. True believers “hold fast” to this Word and use it to challenge all forms of teaching and test all spirits and prophetic words (or those claiming to be).
This continues Jesus' encouragement to the "overcomers"—those who endure and withstand persecution and hardship— in the church at Thyatira. Jesus promises to give them the morning star. The faithful in the church were surrounded by moral and spiritual darkness, but the time would come when they would experience the glorious rays of Christ, the morning star.
The reference points us to the rapture, the event that transports Christians from earth to the presence of Jesus (1 Thessalonians 4:13–17). At that time Christians will be free from trials and persecution. Our bodies will be like the body of our risen Lord (Philippians 3:20–21). They will be incapable of dying (1 Corinthians 15:50–57). Aches and pains will all be in the past, and spiritually we will be like Jesus, entirely free of sin (1 John 3:2).
Revelation 2:18 "And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: The Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet are like burnished bronze, says this:
Revelation 2:19 'I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first.
Revelation 2:20 But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.
Revelation 2:21 I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality.
Revelation 2:22 Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds.
Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with pestilence, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.
Revelation 2:24 But I say to you, the rest who are in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not known the deep things of Satan, as they call them-I place no other burden on you.
Revelation 2:25 Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come.
Revelation 2:26 He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations;
Revelation 2:27 and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of the potter are broken to pieces, as I also have received authority from My Father;
Revelation 2:28 and I will give him the morning star.
Revelation 2:29 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'

LIGHT OF LIFE 455
John 1:4
DIVINE ORDER 20: KEEP YOUR RECORDS IN ORDER 2
Isa 30:8 Now go, WRITE IT DOWN ON A TABLET IN THEIR PRESENCE, INSCRIBE IT ON A SCROLL, so that it might be PRESERVED FOR A FUTURE TIME AS AN ENDURING WITNESS. NET
TAKE PEN TO PAPER 2
Why must Records be kept and why did God [intrinsically] keep them?
Rom 15:4 WHATEVER WAS WRITTEN BEFOREHAND IS MEANT TO INSTRUCT US IN HOW TO LIVE. The Scriptures impart to us encouragement and inspiration so that we can live in hope and endure all things. TPT
The Bible was written to teach all Men about God and His Purpose for Creation.
In the same vein, you are also supposed to write down your experiences in order to teach others.
Exo 31:2,3 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I HAVE FILLED HIM WITH THE SPIRIT OF GOD, IN WISDOM, AND IN UNDERSTANDING, AND IN KNOWLEDGE, AND IN ALL MANNER OF WORKMANSHIP KJV
God fills “some” with Knowledge and Capacity in all Fields with intent to have them Teach others and keep the Knowledge flowing down the Generations to all else in relative Fields.
How do I know that Bezaleel and Aholiab were supposed to Teach others?
Simple!
Exo 35:30,34 Then Moses said to the Israelites, "Look, the LORD has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, from the tribe of Judah. (Uri was the son of Hur.)…THE LORD HAS GIVEN BEZALEL AND OHOLIAB SPECIAL SKILLS TO TEACH OTHER PEOPLE. (Oholiab was the son of Ahisamach from the tribe of Dan.) ERV
The Expertise INSPIRATION came to Bezaleel as his own “Creation Modules”, delivered to his Heart.
When Moses delivered the message to him, it was now important to include that he had to Teach others too, and to do that, one must Document.
2Ti 2:2 TAKE THE TEACHINGS THAT YOU HEARD ME PROCLAIM IN THE PRESENCE OF MANY WITNESSES, and entrust them to reliable people, WHO WILL BE ABLE TO TEACH OTHERS ALSO. GNB
God also Documents so that future Generations can learn from mistakes of others and receive mandates in securing the incumbent Generation and guiding them from errors.
Dan 9:2 In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned FROM THE SCRIPTURES the number of years that Jerusalem would remain in ruins. The LORD had told the prophet Jeremiah that Jerusalem would remain in ruins for 70 years. GW
We learn from people who directly teach us by mouth, but mostly make references from Books written by those who were first, or those who have improved in that field of learning.
Deu 4:8-9 Or WHAT OTHER GREAT NATION HAS SUCH FAIR LAWS AND RULES AS ALL THESE TEACHINGS I AM GIVING YOU TODAY? However, be careful, and watch yourselves closely SO THAT YOU DON'T FORGET THE THINGS which you have seen with your own eyes. DON'T LET THEM FADE FROM YOUR MEMORY AS LONG AS YOU LIVE. TEACH THEM TO YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN. GW
As students in class, don’t we take NOTES?
We take notes of what is said, and in the way we understand what is said.
Besides, every student is potentially a Teacher, now and later.
THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY
However, it’s not only for Teaching skills sake that we Documents.
It is also important that we keep records of Pros & Cons, Successes and Failures, loses and Profits etc.
2Co 1:8-9 Brothers and sisters, YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SEVERE TRIALS WE EXPERIENCED WHILE WE WERE IN WESTERN TURKEY. ALL OF THE HARDSHIPS WE PASSED THROUGH CRUSHED US BEYOND OUR ABILITY TO ENDURE, AND WE WERE SO COMPLETELY OVERWHELMED THAT WE WERE ABOUT TO GIVE UP ENTIRELY. It felt like we had a death sentence written upon our hearts, and WE STILL FEEL IT TO THIS DAY. It has taught us to lose all faith in ourselves and to place all of our trust in the God who raises the dead. TPT
Too many people prefer to keep “best-self” Records only.
They want people to see them only as [flawless] Champions all the way.
Some feel that people will be discouraged by records of failures and losses but nothing could be farther from the truth as such concepts.
Php 1:12,14 Now it is my purpose to make clear to you, brothers, that the cause of the good news has been helped by my experiences;…And MOST OF THE BROTHERS IN THE LORD, TAKING HEART BECAUSE OF MY CHAINS, ARE ALL THE STRONGER TO GIVE THE WORD OF GOD WITHOUT FEAR. BBE
People get Bolder to endure when they know you have endured.
I pray that all your life will make indelible impacts on your Children and Generation, IN JESUS NAME.
Come back on Wednesday, as we proceed in digging into this inspiring Subtopic.
Brother Prince

By • Olalekan Fagbade BREAKING: President Tinubu announces Salary increase for Nigerian Workers President Bola Tinubu has announced a N25, 000 wage award to low grade workers in the civil service, as part of measures to cushion the impact of the fuel subsidy removal policy. Tinubu made the pledge on Sunday, October 1, as part of his Independence Day Broadcast to the nation, where he noted that the salary increase will last for a period of six months. Commenting on the crisis facing Nigerians and the proposed indefinite strike by members of the organised Labour, Tinubu said he was attuned to the hardships that have come. He said he had a heart that feels and eyes that see. “I wish to explain to you why we must endure this trying moment. Those who sought to perpetuate the fuel subsidy and broken foreign exchange policies are people who would build their family mansion in the middle of a swamp. “I am different. I am not a man to erect our national home on a foundation of mud. To endure, our home must be constructed on safe and pleasant ground,” he said. The President went further to state that “reform may be painful, but it is what greatness and the future require. We now carry the costs of reaching a future Nigeria where the abundance and fruits of the nation are fairly shared among all, not hoarded by a select and greedy few. “A Nigeria where hunger, poverty and hardship are pushed into the shadows of an ever fading past.” According to Tinubu, “there is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago. I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future. “My government is doing all that it can to ease the load. I will now outline the path we are taking to relieve the stress on our families and households. “We have embarked on several public sector reforms to stabilize the economy, direct fiscal and monetary policy to fight inflation, encourage production, ensure the security of lives and property and lend more support to the poor and the vulnerable. “Based on our talks with labour, business and other stakeholders, we are introducing a provisional wage increment to enhance the federal minimum wage without causing undue inflation. For the next six months, the average low-grade worker shall receive an additional Twenty-Five Thousand naira per month. “To ensure better grassroots development, we set up an Infrastructure Support Fund for states to invest in critical areas. States have already received funds to provide relief packages against the impact of rising food and other prices. “Making the economy more robust by lowering transport costs will be key. In this regard, we have opened a new chapter in public transportation through the deployment of cheaper, safer Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses across the nation. These buses will operate at a fraction of current fuel prices, positively affecting transport fares.” “New CNG conversions kits will start coming in very soon as all hands are on deck to fast track the usually lengthy procurement process. We are also setting up training facilities and workshops across the nation to train and provide new opportunities for transport operators and entrepreneurs. “This is a groundbreaking moment where, as a nation, we embrace more efficient means to power our economy. In making this change, we also make history,” Tinubu noted in his Independence Day Broadcast to Nigerians. #Tinubuannouncessalaryincrease

Methadone may be an incomplete treatment, yet it's a necessary one
From time to time catastrophes accentuate enduring public health problems as well as, typically transiently, focus our combined stress and anxieties as well as anger at the absence of an option. Like rogue canine strikes, random shootings as well as killed prostitutes, drug and alcohol dependency problems are a pointer of a resident wickedness we prefer to do without. The case of the sad death of a youngster from the diversion of a medicine such as methadone creates anger, anxiety as well as hostility to the evident targets: the moms and dads as well as the vendor of the dangerous drug. This, we claim, is collateral damage of an inappropriate degree from a therapy designed to help a specific problem, in this case heroin reliance. Like various other events that are awkward as well as essentially sad for all included, easy remedies are urgently demanded as well as are insufficient, temporary as well as poor. There is no easy solution as well as, in common with various other locations of intricate human behaviour, a much better understanding of the reasons is required. Like various other threats, methadone needs to be considereded as such as well as procedures implemented to reduce the opportunity of secondary harm. This treatment, properly requested a severe clinical problem, stays crucial as well as its advantages exceed its risks. Evidence for the value of a treatment such as methadone comes from a selection of resources. Standards for therapies such as this rely greatly on clinical proof as well as on organisations such as the National Institute for Wellness as well as Scientific Excellence (Great) reviewing the stamina of the debates in favour as well as against. Over years the value of methadone has actually been established. It certainly conserves lives as well as normalises way of lives. An additional vital for treatment comes from public health. The threat of epidemic spread of viruses from sharing needles to inject heroin, which creates death from HIV, hepatitis as well as hepatitis C, is a powerful disagreement for a treatment shown to alleviate these threats. Dangers which, of course, endanger not simply those infusing medications yet their sexual partners as well as eventually all of us in some way.
Methadone Maintenance Program
When drug addict are engaged in a task that is amenable to behavioural treatment as well as offered appropriate inspiration as well as opportunity, recovery is possible, in the form of abstinence from all addicting compounds. Furthermore, research study increasingly suggests that prolonged reliance leads to structural as well as potentially irreparable neurological change blocking progression to abstinence. It is said that arrangement of a therapy such as methadone just secures the specific right into continuous dependancy as well as a state of pessimism. Nevertheless, just recently released research study suggests that infusing substance abuse is extra usual in individuals with childhood hardship, sexual assault as well as various other injuries as well as interfered with childhood experiences. Dependency to medications or alcohol is related to inequalities, deprivation as well as various other personal or situational problems. This, for numerous, represents a behavior deeply ingrained as well as as a result not conveniently gotten rid of. Lasting treatment may not be required for every person who has actually ever utilized narcotics, however, for some it is a lifeline as well as an essential support. Recent disputes have focused on optimising therapies such as methadone. Much better outcomes are expected as well as far better interventions required enabling recovery in whatever form that might be attained. For some this is outright abstinence from all medications, for others it is stability as well as the absence of illegal as well as dangerous drug usage. All devices as well as techniques ought to be available as well as, most notably, ought to be evaluated for efficiency as well as cost-effectiveness. In addition to this brand-new energy to prosper as well as to achieve the ambitions of dependent persons, specialists have to be pragmatic as well as acknowledge that therapies are all imperfect as well as outcomes are unforeseeable. An open mind is required as well as a determination to experiment as well as increase restorative chances. This includes the acknowledgment that for some, lifelong methadone is necessary, for others, methadone in mix with rehabilitation as well as recovery in its numerous formats ought to be available as well as ought to be treated with the competence as well as dignity offered with all various other health as well as care interventions.
