Riain as a parent:

Dotting, very caring, would only want what’s best for his child/ren.

If he was a single parent he would probably quit / go radiosilent from his kingpin & red room work for a bit, but would make sure his most trusted crew member was taking care of it and some of the money goes back to him still so he can take care of his family. Hell even if he’s with a partner he would go very quiet with work just to spend time with family.

Honestly? Would love just holding his baby / babies as long as he could. Which might mean he isn’t paying as much attention to a partner if he has one but will still try.

Honestly the most protective person you will ever see. He’s already lost 7+ (in all means of trying) at the very least with base canon, if he actually is successful as a parent he will keep eyes on them all the time. Even if he has to like go to the kitchen to make food he probably has cameras in every room and probably a smart watch connected to them. He will do everything in his damn power to make sure they are safe.

Supportive. Will help them with anything.

Honestly might think home school is a good decision for them. With 4+ degrees and general smarts he thinks he is fully able to teach his child(s), though this might end up with him angling towards teaching what he knows. Though he would try to learn other things to teach his child(ren) if they show interest in something. Even if this means earning online degrees in stuff just so he can stay around and teach them.

Unfortunately he might end up sheltering them a lot. He is incredibly worried cause he believes he is doomed with bad luck, and doesn’t want anything to happen to them if he isn’t keeping an eye. He’d be overly protective- even if they are allowed out, as he isn’t treating them like prisoners, he would set extreme curfews. Hell he might even have trusted crew members he has connections to still stick around and watch them. From cars or something like that. Probably ends up freaking them out once because of that by accident.

On a similar note, probably hasn’t told his child(ren) about what he actually is- either as a criminal or abilities. For the latter he did use them when they were younger to play with them, but as they got older and could remember he started hiding them. He loves his abilities and himself, but he doesn’t want to risk his children hating him or fearing him. Also has some belief that what he is is tied to his previous failures of trying to be a parent, so he believes pretending it isn’t there might help. Yes even he knows this is a dump thought, but is desperate.

If any of his children showed signs of his abilities too he would help them obviously, and explain his own.

Might explain what he is (if he even knows by this point, he could still be ignorant of his godhood at this point depending on point in canon) and his old career venture when he thinks they are old enough, or if it gets exposed. Would nervously and slowly expose them to both aspects. Though some part of him might feel good bringing them to the light of his crew, feeling better with more protection around. But another part knows they are in equally more danger.

Any questions they have he would answer- he would not hate any choices they had in life. Hell, his best friend from childhood is a cop, and he gets along well with her and her wife as long as both of them are off work (he realizes if she were to catch him during work they both have admitted they would have to just do their jobs, even if they are aware of each others careers outside of this), so he wouldn’t even mind a child going down a legal path. Might jokingly ask them if they really think its a good idea, but fully support them and give them all the necessary education.

Just wants to do for them everything his parents didn’t do for him. Give them love, affection, attention, and not treat them as tools or experiments.

He’s also the embarrassing dad with awful fashion and dumb jokes but also the soccer mom at the same time

As with his lack of care for gender terms, he doesn’t care what his child calls him. Dad, Mom, just combining the two words and calling him Mad- he really doesn’t care and will happily accept any of them.

If he did send them to school he’d be a PTA parent absolutely. Also would support his kids straight up beating up kids that hurt them. He still has his nature.

Would absolutely be the ‘lets have another’ type of parent if he’s with a partner.

Sleeping with or waking up next to Riain can be interesting. Him, like many, is reactive with his dreams. But given his ability, its a bit more then just moving arms and kicking.

When you wake up you may find the man, or whatever configuration he took prior to sleep will have changed. Perhaps its something animalistic- a wolf, snake, some half form. Perhaps its small changes, claws and fangs or something of a swollen abdomen. Maybe its monsters or things beyond human comprehension because he, especially his subconscious mind does not bend to human concepts.

If you're lucky this only extends to him. But depending on how deep he was in a dream or nightmare the area around him can also be changed. From the room to the other person. Of course upon waking he can and will change everything back to normal quickly, unless otherwise stated

Where did they pick them up?: Riain uses a lot of common phrases in all honesty- all bark and no bite, piece of cake, an arm and a leg, all of those types of ones. He loves twisting phrases as well, usually in playful ways such as ‘curiosity killed the cat but necromancy brought it back’. Though, when it often comes to actual sayings, he will make his own. ‘A leader without a God has no purpose to lead sheep to water’ is one he will use off and on again, in turn with his God Complex, his job, and the fact that he uses people. He controls CEO’s, leaders, and various higher status individuals since he is a Kingpin with a lot of power. Another one he twisted when ascended was an insult by another divine that was trying to drag Riain down for his attempts at creating stuff he could love and would love him back. They basically told him ‘You’ll bear a thousand flowers, but when you look at your garden you’ll see your seeds were but weeds’, which he turned in to ‘even dandelions are a blessing in once barren lands’

HC: DBD Killer Riain will catch, kill, and eat raw various animals, sometimes when they are still alive, within the fog when he can’t sink teeth into a survivor. There is no necessity for food, but much like a person chewing gum it helps nerves or other things when his mind begins to wander too much.

Riain wants a child / children, thats a constant. Riain has attempted to have children with others, that’s also a constant. In most every verse, that’s a failure. His mate usually goes mad, tries to kill him, and ends up with the baby / babies being killed. Thus why Riain is more towards the idea of trying to carry himself after he learns he can- he trust he could keep a kid alive, and therefore what get what he would want. He’d have to really trust a partner to believe the same stuff that has happened won’t happen again. So while he is fairly top leaning, in this case or in shadow to get what he wants he’s quite needy too.

Of course, in cases where he does carry, they are failures too. Either due to death or them being mindless and therefore not something riain can show affection towards

#1: Riain has a bunch of tattoos. His right arm is sleeved, most of his left arm, his chest, back, neck, legs, and other parts. Most of them are of a theme- celtic pieces, eyes, snakes, bugs, and that sort of thing. However the one different on, one he got out of a bet. On his inner left thigh he simply has ‘bite here’ tattooed there. He’ll more then likely admit this was a bet too but doesn’t regret it with the attitude he has generally

#2: Riain is a cannibal, yes. However, if he kills to eat someone he won’t use a gun for it most of the time. He doesn’t like the taste of the gunpowder that could be remaining in there, and the fact it destroys bone that could be used for the aesthetics he likes.

#3: Riain….. kept the old rings that were for his old fiance and himself, and has them locked away somewhere. For what reason is unknown, perhaps to even himself. He doubts his abilities of to be a potential partner to anyone, not that he cares too much or so he says

         ❛NOTES: 💘 What are the ways my muse says ‘I love you’ without actually saying it?Literally those are the only ways Riain says I love you, cause he has personal problems with actually saying the word. He’s very touchy- while not uncommon for him to use rougher actions and passionate movements, those themselves are not exclusive to love. However, him softly touching skin, holding hands, chaste kisses, stuff of that sort really shows his affection towards someone.

 He’s also a gift giver, even if his gifts are odd. He ADORES crafting with bone, making jewelry or the sort indistinguishable to those made with metal for those he really likes, and making them specific for the person. 

Titles. God he loves giving titles. Very specific pet names, or just terms of a hierarchy of some sort.

Actually, Riain doesn’t sleep well. Just in general. So if he can sleep easy around you, automatically clings to you in sleep or anything like that, that actually means a lot. That’s a subconscious thing he doesn’t control, but it shows a whole lot because of that.

Anyways Riain is secretly a very loving man IF he likes you in that way. But he’s very brittle and closed off towards achieving that a lot of times out of worry and instances in the past.

Riain actually likes the taste of blood, and is perhaps the reason he started cannibalism. It was actually comfort. The taste of blood was the often the taste of control, when he was away from his parents. Often times when he was dissecting animals in his room he would nick his fingers, and seeing as there either wasn’t bandaids or he didn’t feel like leaving his room in the few times he had the chance to just be in it and not in a lab, he often just sucked the blood away. But seeing as this was gained through the times of his freedom and doing something that interested him, the taste became something of comfort to him.

Riain really tries to hide any emotional changes he has, especially lows, as far from view as possible. Actually, the best warning signs due to him being an actor is him OVERLY being himself- forcing his happy or jovial attitude, his jokes, but letting them fall flat or just shrugging them off at the end with a smile. If he really is at a point where hes struggling hiding, he’ll make excuses to not be around so someone doesn’t see him in those states- if there is people worth making those excuses to. If not, he’ll just disappear for days or weeks at a time, which no one would be able to tell cause his shows still continue as he tells his underlings to do even if he’s gone. His violence should he still participate and not hide will also ramp up, and some of his most cruel shows have been done during states of depression for him- which one may mistake for mania given how he acts.

Riain’s natural accent is quite Southern, but he hides this- though, the aid of running away at an early age from his state and moving around a lot helped him with diluting too. But while he hides his accent and it very rarely comes out, he has a sort of drawl or purr to his voice. Almost a sing song like mannerism. He also tends to shorten up some words, and does use repetition from time to time.

Riain is specific about punctuality if you are below him, if you are late then there will be issues. He doesn’t like the feeling of cotton balls. When people assume things without any forethought. Using texting language in real life. Plagiarizing. Forgiveness and the belief that anyone can change. Interrupting him. Being ignored god don’t ignore him he hates that.

Riain is not a good man that is well known- most people are not free from being victim to his showings and such. But he believes some humans are lower then dirt- that includes anyone who abuses children. He would remove them all if he could.

Many may equate Riain to predators, monsters, serpents and spiders- but the most accurate definition of him is a Parasite or Virus. In all ways.

The Gods / Embodiments that made him were like a bunch of scientist toiling over a new super parasite, and waiting to put it on the petri dish of Earth.

Although appearing and acting much like a human child, the implanted fetus of Riain acted more like a parasite off his host then an actual normally growing child.

Riain in current days is latching on to computer, and his viewers- connecting them, but also taking from them finances, and info. Taking more then his fair share of what is needed especially since he loves what he does.

His presence is a inevitable doom upon Earth

And much like cliche virus movies, he will outgrow his creators. He will become beyond their control, and become an actual threat to the universe.

Riain’s voice is a bit…. hard to place. This is due to the fact with his molecular manipulation ability, he can change his throat and vocals in order to sound differently and will often do this. However, the constant thing is he has a sort of drawl, purr like tone. Cocky, self assured, very much carrying a weight of self importance. He does roll or shorten some words more then others, this is due to a dying accent of his that is fairly Southern American- being away from his birthplace and intentionally allowing it to be hidden has made it less apparent then it used to be. He will fake accents, but is not consistent with them nor does he do it all that often.

A lot of situations end with more intimate situations happening far before any official terms of relationships come into play. Though, in a sense I guess he would- he’s not the type to say ‘will you go on a date with me’, but if he’s close to someone he might be like ‘I got tickets to this play and you best be coming with me ;)’ or ‘I need someone to try this new place with me’. Basically, he asks in his own ways.

       ❛NOTES: 🎆 Is my muse into monogamy?Ehhh this ones a bit rough to place. Riain is a man that does a lot of one night stands, HOWEVER if he does get a partner hes incredibly loyal to them. He won’t cheat behind their back or anything like that by any means. However, he is not stuck to the concept- if his partner were to suggest a friend or such to join them for a night, or more, as long as Riain could warm up to them he’d have no issues at all.
