ok good luck babe felt like the too obvious chappell roan song lol but also i wanted to talk about this one bc it was a big part of the inspiration for giselle. this idea that you want something to work SO BADLY but it just doesn't and you know you're destined for something more!! and i think in this song it can mean many things, and in giselle's life it could mean opening herself up to the idea that she might not be straight, but it also means opening herself up to the idea that she can have power and agency and make choices that make her genuinely happy, not just good enough, but really happy!!! and she can finally hear a song with a fucking beat!!!!
