Morzan, Eragon and Murtaugh all prefer sleeping under their Dragon’s wings. But each dragon goes about it differently.

Morzan’s dragon likes to cave his wing and make a huge cave that just lets Morzan do his thing, walk around and whatever. They like being close but not always touching. They’re more of a quality time type pair.

Saphira likes to tuck her wings tighter but still gives Eragon his room to read and such. But it’s much more of a tent that’s cozy rather than roomy. They like to kinda cuddle when doing it, but there’s definitely legroom and Eragon can squirm like the little ADHD goblin he is.

Thorn just straight up smothers Murtaugh.

Regarding Oromis and his training ‘techniques’.

That crap was straight torcher. My poor baby Eragon.

No wonder Morzan was so mentally unbalanced and unstable. Time to write him cussing Oromis out in my AU

Looking back on my old Morzan aus, I maintain that Morzan having a redemption arc is a very fun and interesting concept because it provides a way to explore his original intentions through their transformation down the line, and I like considering the different impacts he could have had on Murtagh's life. I also stand by my decision to pair him with Brom each time because they make for the funniest couple imaginable. But I may need to go back to the idea, because I never got around to bringing it to its natural conclusion of Morzan/Selena/Brom: Alagaesia's most unhinged polycule.

Brom should have not just one, but two newly reformed ex evil henchmen lovers who he has to keep on leashes like excitable dogs because they're doing their best, but they're still way too quick to jump to murder as a potential solution to every problem they run into. And yet Morzan and Selena are also the ones to rein in Brom's absurdly convoluted and paranoid plans because their new moral compass has never once realized that part of the reason he's always going through it is because he causes himself twice as many problems as he solves. They'd be such an incredible mess, I need them together.

I just want to turn IC into a comedy about Morzan, Selena, and Brom attempting to dismantle the empire and assassinate the king without literally burning everything down in the process, while trying to raise their kids to be at least marginally less insane than them.

And now I’m just imagining Morzan walking up and knocking him out as Ergaon actively vomits into an airplane bag.

It’s such a hard debate deciding on how Morzan would react to Brom’s death. As he was basically a little brother/best friend to him.

Because on one hand he could be like

“Skill issue”

And on the other he could be like… genuinely sad and depressed about his death. And THEN go into “skill issue” territory. THESE are the questions AU writers have to ask, and I kinda have a love hate relationship with it.

In my ‘good’ Morzan AU, he is still feral.

However, instead of ever hitting or accidentally physically hurting murtaugh. They both use mental warfare.

And by that, I mean Morzan can and will teach his younger son swears so he can walk up and innocently call murtaugh them.

The amount of bullying my poor baby Murtaugh will go through hurts. But he does get a pet raccoon so levels it out.

He was such a pain to draw, but I love him.

His fangs are kinda like a young walrus’! So they’re not only baby proofed for murtaugh, but the caps are also to prevent them from getting chipped.

(And if anyone has rendering/coloring tips to make me not wanna kill someone, I’d greatly appreciate it…)

Also does anyone know if his name was ever revealed despite his curse/spell?

‘Reformed’ Morzan AU

This is run by Cs-cabin-and-crew.

I’m focused on inheritance cycle here and it’s mostly for fun.

I don’t do Morzan x Galbatorix for many reasons, mostly because I really don’t approve of problematic ships with a very unhealthy power dynamic. Stating that here because it’s a very popular ship. No judgement if you do ship it, it’s just not something I support nor wish to write or explore.

Relationships are mostly based in canon with a few OC’s thrown in for some extra fun.

Asks are open and we can all have fun with this AU!

Anything regarding sexualities outside canon (or as a whole preferably to avoid offense to anyone)

Got my driver’s license, so yall getting a Modern ‘Good’ Morzan AU, and who drives like what.

Eragon: blasts music like there’s no tomorrow. Might be deaf at this point, but the ADHD must be silenced with rock songs.

Murtaugh: terrified of turning left, but other than that he’s a decent driver. He can’t remember the last time he’s ever did an oil change on the car.

Brom: “don’t turn on your turn signal, that’s how people know where you’re going.”™️

Puts everyone in music timeout if he misses a turn

Arya: only one who can ACTUALLY drive. But she does go fast.

Morzan: hits a curb and goes ‘oopsie’. If he crashes and dies, just know he went out like a man (he’s belting Madonna)

Oromis: had his license taken away, but will still judge your driving even if he’s wrong.

Nasuada: passenger princess. In fact, she never even got her permit. But she doesn’t need one as everyone just drives her where they wanna go, because she’s the one that orders for you at a restaurant, and knows how to do an oil change.

Roran: can’t drive a small car, but can drive a tractor like a race car, and has a pickup truck that’s so busted up you don’t even know how it’s still running. It’s living off blood, sweat, tears, and the power of god.
