Hello there lovely Fandom. Three eps in already what a trip. Once again did my best to keep this brief, concise but hitting on stuff as I watched it. Given up on the gif library till the summer so just my handmade ones till then ha lets get going.

6x03 Trouble in Paradise

Mmmm hello jammy's Tim I love you so. Asking her if she’s slept at all? Looking too damn attractive leaning against her door frame. She also looks adorable in her morning attire as well. Poor Lucy so stressed about the oral exam and friggin Primm. What a dick throwing out her cookies.

God I love Tim trying so hard to control her spiral about it. Saying she can only control herself. Trying to pry the highlighter away LOL He is giving her solid advice and she just isn’t about it lmao Poor man. I get it when I’m in my own anxious neurosis I’m same way as Lucy.

Tim tapping out knowing she won’t take a break. Knowing a lost cause when he sees one. I love her only doing so when he gives up. Chasing after her man and the shower he’s gonna take. Heh Hello shower sex. Welcome back. That’s a good break Lucy haha I'm jealous. Mmmm Tim is a glorious study break and stress reliever. I can't wait for the fic's spawned out of this moment.

How did Lucy end up in a room with Smitty practicing her oral exam? LOL He doesn’t have the worst idea about Primm have to say....Tim getting distracted by Lucy’s practicing with Smitty in the other room when he should be focusing. Loved this.

Knowing he needs to intercede when he can but barks at Celina to set up the shop first. Yum. Smitty giving her the details on Primm lmao Lucy getting excited cause she’s a dog person too haha Me too Luce me too. Tim interrupting asking WTF is going on? I’m dying.

Smitty says he’s helping her with her exam. So proud of himself. Tim asking her if this falls in line with not over preparing? It does not... Lucy deflecting saying it's Smitty though. Lmao poor guy. Tim forcing her to take a break with him and Celina. Love this. The birth charts comment oh Timothy I love you so much.

Heh I’m going to love this trio I can already tell. Also Tim saying ‘Juarez’ getting me all in my feels. God will always love Eric’s inflection makes me all feral. Lucy watching from the back seat with affectionate heart eyes. This is gonna be good.

Lucy of course brings up Aaron and how awkward it currently is. Tim immediately pulling over and scolding her I’m rolling. Lucy isn’t wrong he didn’t say boys LOL Be more married you two my god. Adoring this ep so much. Getting back to their banter in this one and I'm here for it.

Mmm loving that Metro Call sign. Idk why it's so attractive to me but it is. Love Tim and Lucy side-barring about this dude and his "Amnesia." They are Co-T.O.'ing in this episode and I'm loving sfm. Also always love me a height difference shot. Look at them. Good stuff.

Tim’s being utterly over this guy is hilarious as they interview him. (Lack of person space too. Forever love this) Eric killing with the expressions per usual. Lucy of course has the reins for this interview cause Tim wants to pop this guy ha. Classic Tim/Lucy. She is the empathetic one and Tim is doubtful af. 'Grumpy x Sunshine 'at it's finest in this moment.

It is delightful to watch Lucy tag along while he’s in T.O. mode. She is enjoying herself haha The heart eyes as she watches him in action making my shipper heart happy. Although her stepping in when he’s sweating Celina is too hilarious. God I love we are in this place with them. She can step in and gives Celina a break and Tim won't eat her.

Then she continues on to give him crap for not giving her any praise. Wifey being extra wifey in this moment. Oh my word their banter after Celina leaves. My heart. ‘Have I not softened you at all?’ Oh you have Lucy. The man went from granite to butter. Just continually shows you Lucy was always different. He doesn't treat any other boot like he did her.

Oh my god he looks sinfully delicious getting dressed while she’s waking up. Scruffy and in a black shirt. I’m fanning myself. Oh my lord. I wanna climb that man like a damn tree. Those buttons are meant to be ripped apart and off him. Phew lord. What a view to wake up to. Also never be over him just always having stuff at her place. Basically living together *screams into pillow* That sweet smile of his too good lord I'm faint. God he loves her so much. Just exudes out of this man in the smallest ways like this.

That black shirt he’s buttoning up mmmm making all kinds of feral with seeing part of his chest. He is so confident as he speaks about her resting. No regrets letting her sleep in. I bet you he watched her sleep for a bit before getting ready fully*happy sigh*. My god the looks he gives her when she thanks him. I cannot. This was such a lovely moment till she gets a text her test was in 20 minutes…..

Poor Lucy of course she’s the last one in. This made me so angry to watch her waiting. Hate this Primm putz so much. Stresssssssss watching this entire scene. Oh my lord. Hate Lucy having to defend herself to this prick. Of course he brings up the 6x01 crime scene bleh. I think she defended herself pretty well IMO. I was on edge and anxious as I watched this unfold. Feeling sick for her and angry too. Her career has been exemplary. Wanted to protect her from this absolute BS assault on her.

This scene GUTTED me. The music plus Melissa's expression I wanted to cry for her. Hug her. I knew when Grey walked up it wasn't good news. Ughhhhhhhh 17 blooody 17... I'm so angry for her it’s insane. What a shit Primm is. Like that man didn't benefit from that 5 player trade she did. My rage knows no bounds for her in this moment. Melissa's conveying so much in this moment. Well done madam. Nolan gets everything handed to him she fights tooth and nail and gets screwed for helping the man she loves out. I’m livid for her. Sure the depths of my anger will be more detailed in my summer review. For now I want punt Primm into the sun.

17th sucks a lot. If that score is combined with her written. Maybe she did over prepare. Or it's a mixture of that and her Oral not going well due to Primm. Either way it sucks. I will say I love this puppy of a man. He wrote a 7 on the award afterwards. Just to make her laugh. My damn heart. Upped his romantic game so much for her. He got this BEFORE she passed. So convinced she would be number one.

Look at the smile on Tim's face as he hands her it. He's so happy he's made her laugh. Even before they were together he always took it upon himself to make her feel better. He has sharpened that skill ten fold since they got together. Her Metro joke is cute haha Joking right back feeding off his energy. Love this. Look at her at the start of the scene and the end of this portion. He got her in a much better mood.

I love how sincere he is when he says yes he thought she’d be first. Of course he did. He believes in her SO MUCH. Why the lie detector got it wrong in that regard. This man loves you so much Lucy. She doesn't have an ounce of regret for that 5 player trade. Not once has she voiced that or hinted at that. In this moment all she can think about is how she disappointed him. The sweet kiss after he tells Lucy she could never disappoint him. *heart clutch* How far we’ve come people. Still blows me away. Lucy saying how cute the award is. It really is.

God damn I love how this relationship has made Tim so adorably romantic and soft. He's her marshmallow. Tim is so proud of himself for doing good with this. I’m beaming from how cute this moment is. The heart eyes as she tells him he did a good job. I’m dying. Friggin love this ship so much everyone. Makes my heart so happy he’s there to pick up the pieces. Makes her smile and laugh after a crushing defeat. Look at this goober of a man. Getting her to laugh and lifting her up at the same time. It’ll be interesting to see where Lucy goes after this.

Sucks she was sabotaged but a new career path might not be worst idea? I feel slightly relieved this SL of the exam has gotten its conclusion. Might not be the one we wanted for her...but I am excited to see where this goes for her career wise. It's Lucy whatever she puts her mind to she will dominate. I do love this final scene so much. How much lighter I felt after it. Gave me all the feels in best way. Look at our babies figuring out life together. I love them so much. Sucks we won't have anything for 3 friggin weeks but I understand with only having ten eps to play with.

Gonna be real honest could care less bout Nolan and his honeymoon. Snooze fest nation. Never been a huge Bailey fan. I was always a Grace fan personally.... Also them touching everything without gloves WTF LOL

Poor Aaron and Celina so awkward. Hope they inch back toward their original friendship.

Only good thing about their honeymoon is Harper and Angela showing up like BAMF's.

Love Grey checking in with Tim about Lucy and Celina. Their friendship is a dark horse. I love it when we get it. Underrated gem.

T9S

Might be interesting to write a fanfic to make this AU of a show make sense (I wouldn’t be the one to do that though, lol).

The point of divergence in canon, I believe, is the T7S season 7 finale (isn’t it always? It’s a nexus point in the show as far as I’m concerned, which makes sense since it was changed once S8 was greenlit).

Kelso and Jackie slept together at the motel before Hyde arrived. They didn’t use protection. Jackie got pregnant.

Which renders much of season 8 completely invalid. New timeline.

Originally, the plan for S8 was for Eric not to have left for Africa after all, unable to leave Donna -- the same as she couldn’t leave him for college in “Magic Bus” (6x03). Josh Meyers was originally an Eric recast, which is how that would’ve worked (but a focus group -- or several? -- had a bad reaction to seeing the originally shot first ep of S8 -- or, at least, the Eric/Donna scenes -- without Topher playing Eric. Hence, Randy was born).

So in the season 8 where Jackie became pregnant by Kelso in the motel, maybe Eric never left for Africa either, which allows more time for Donna to get pregnant on time for Leia to exist.

Or Eric and Donna’s part on S8 isn’t affected at all by Jackie being pregnant, so Donna becomes pregnant New Year’s Eve ‘79, the night she and Eric reconcile.

Season 8, then, would have Jackie and Kelso dealing with her pregnancy. Kelso’s marriage proposal now has an organic motivation --

instead of the S8′s showrunners’ statement (some elements verbatim, some paraphrased and in a different order),  “We never understood Jackie and Hyde’s romantic relationship. We don’t like it, and we don’t think they ever should’ve been together romantically. Tthey were always meant to be antagonists and remain antagonists,” driving much of the plot, as it does in the S8 that exists -- because, you know, fictional characters aren’t capable of growing and changing, and neither are their relationship dynamics according to the S8 showrunners --

and Jackie says yes. This is their first marriage. But Kelso is only half-present (due to AK’s own absence from S8), splitting his time between Jackie and Brooke/Betsy, and Jackie is never sure if Kelso’s remaining faithful. She’s also not actually in love with him, but she’s eighteen and pregnant. She chooses not to have an abortion or give the baby up for adoption, and she’s building her life around being a teen mom.

Very in-character, of course. Very organic storytelling. Just like the premise of T9S. /s

But that’s not the point of my post. T9S negates a big chunk of T7S’s S8, which is also -- officially (according to T7S’s director) “an alternate universe, one of many possible futures.” So T9S is the same. An alternate universe, one of many possible futures. It’s a fanfic but in TV (streaming) show form.

How cool would it have been, however, for the T9S EPs to talk to some of the most consistent T7S fanfic writers (like @that70sshowgoldencouple​) who’ve been writing T7S stories for over a decade? We (yeah, I’m including myself because why wouldn’t I? lol) have course-corrected these characters in many different ways. Would our choices and POV satisfy all potential viewers? Of course not. But at least the premise of T9S would make story and character sense.

I’m confused….doesn’t the 6x04 synopsis say Chim goes for a wild ride with a drunk driver but then in the 6x02 promo you hear Bobby say “a driver drove away with one of our paramedics” but isn’t Bobby already over with Athena in Florida; thus Captain Hen? Lol, as Buck would say “I’m confused can we start over?” Does the 6x02 promo have footage from 6x03 + 6x04 as well (?). I kind of like how we’re going into these episodes really not knowing much…personally just builds the excitement!!!

also in discussing all these [quants dynamic] hypotheticals it was like, well winston probably still has a crush on rian but also it was last Obviously invoked in 5x10, when his spontaneous offers of Trying To Be Helpful surely also drew on “i have personal interest in how your butt looks, also. b/c of having a crush.” but this 6x04 material imo makes it clear he definitely does still have a crush, which always seemed most likely, but you know, also would’ve been possible it was meant to change between seasons where he wants to win her over still but not where he’s particularly hoping to kiss about it or anything

like, he’s obviously not like oh camping? i love camping, let me get in on that, he’s just reaching for Some Way to connect himself to Whatever she’s doing here, when clearly it would not be at all feasible to bring him along simply to provide the ideal packing setup anyways, and he’s Only really thinking about you know, finding an opportunity to Personally Connect / appeal to rian.

also he must like, have created spatial algorithms for fun before a) if he’s offering / figures he can make & customize one here, and b) surely it’s more Specialized & isn’t the sort of algorithm you necessarily learn if you’re planning to be a quant, not sure how it would really directly apply with work here & it’d be too much of a stretch to Offer Himself here if this was stuff any quant could do in the first place. maybe similar to how he dicked around in malbolge but just for fun, like that is to coding language proficiency as this is to making algorithms. 

this also felt like a 5x06 / 5x07 sort of combo out here lol. in 6x03 we get a little glimpse of an Argumentative back and forth ft. winston efforts at dignation / being very allegedly unbothered, like in 5x06, and here in 6x04 it feels very similar to 5x07, despite them both being sober this time around. winston’s really raring to be helpful, rian’s doing her own thing about her own personal interests but willing to interact with him earnestly enough about it (besides Not being earnest in inviting him along over spatial algos), winston’s a bit breathlessly into this potential connection (when he thinks she Is being earnest in inviting him along, f....) like how he’s so totally into Listening to rian talk about her linguistic enthusiasm there in 5x07. slight silver lining in that she is saying she does not want Company Nor Help in this solo extensive travel expedition dream rather than it being like oh that Would be very helpful if only it wasn’t you who was offering

naturally this could still be a sort of Indefinite Quant Duo Dynamic we’re getting here as it is, but it seems like if winston’s still definitely actively crushing on rian, it’s not like [this person Indefinitely likes that person] usually happens around here, though an exception could be made for winston as ever, like oh yeah there’s no need for this thread to really go anywhere for him, but we can also keep using it for [winston billions pwned / dismayed moments]....but you know, in theory, you’d hope if this is meant to develop in any particular way, that either rian returns the interest after all at some point, or winston’s crush simmers down so that we could figure he could be dating someone outside work, or, you know, just not eternally experiencing unrequited love to add flair to him eternally being dunked on

why do you dislike season 6? :)

Ohh so many reasons lol. Umm I think I’m gonna try to hit everything I dislike but also be brief about those individual things. So who knows how long this will be but I’ll hide it under a cut bc I’m sure I’ll ramble. Anyway, in no particular order...

The music. None of the songs mean anything, the covers aren’t good or interesting, hardly any song was used effectively. Most of the music is used for competitions or parties or invitationals and hardly anyone gets to actually sing to express something or further the story. It’s boring, bland, and bad

The story. I’ve seen people praising the writing this season and honestly it’s like idc how good you think it is. The plots were absolutely ridiculous. And sometimes I like some ridiculousness, and the show has had its crazy moments since day 1. But idk it just feels so surface and hollow and bland. Like it’s insanity for the sake of insanity and not entertainment or using humor to add to the story. The hurt locker, Sam being hypnotized, the fucking puppet, the bear. It all makes me want to die :) 

Klaine. I’m not opposed to them having more issues they need to work through. But breaking off the engagement just to have Blaine date Karofsky was literally just a big middle finger to like half the fanbase. And it was all handled so sloppily that there was literally 0 point to it

The pacing. I’ve said this before but it’s like they tried to cram in so much stuff and hardly any of it ends up mattering. Like I honestly don’t understand it, but it feels like everything is rushing and dragging at the same time the whole season. Like they’re just wasting time until a lackluster finale. Idk how to explain it but nothing feels right

Brittana. I already don’t care about them period but holy hell they are fucking awful this season. They’re just so mean and for what. I mean more than usual. They act like immature high school idiots and it just proves any growth they might’ve had before is all for nothing. As per usual Santana can’t go one sentence without insulting someone. We know the whole rant to Kurt that I hate. And like for 6x03 Tina basically only opens her mouth to express support for their engagement, and then Brittany is like “I tuned you out bc everything you say is selfish and annoying” like wow what a bitch lol. Even when Brittany is telling Klaine how much she looked up to them and how they should get married she still compares them to a fucking rat and pig. And their friends are literally pulling this entire wedding together for the two ungrateful assholes, decorating the barn, providing entertainment, finding someone to officiate. And all Brittana can say is how much better they are than everyone they know and how lame their friends are. Like they act so fucking cunty this season it makes me sick they’re really a match made in hell lmao

The Warblers. Making them all into one dimensional gay caricatures isn’t funny and I don’t like it. Idk what else to say.

Sue. She hasn’t been interesting since about s2. But in the last couple of seasons even Jane sounds bored with everything. Every line of hers is like “You’re dumb” “This is stupid” “You’re an idiot” in the most lackluster voice possible. How do people still think she’s funny in s5-6?? And everything else going on with her this season is insane. She takes up way too much of the s6 run time in general and I would’ve been happy cutting even a fifth of her nonsense and putting that time to good use literally anywhere else

Samchel. They could’ve been cute but they just wanted so bad for Sam to be Finn 2.0 when he was always so much more, so much better than that. But it was obvious they only pushed him and Rachel together bc she basically thought of him as replacement Finn, which was bullshit. Also Sam was hypnotized for a good portion of that. Yeah. And then Jesse shows up and it’s like Samchel never happened and it’s just another waste of everyone’s time

I’m sure there’s plenty more but that’s what comes to mind first. I mean there are some parts I like, too. Mostly the newbies, and Rachel being a teacher, I think it’s sweet. And a lot of her scenes with like Blaine, Mercedes, and non-hypnotized Sam are good. But idk. There’s just nothing there that’s worth any of this trouble

How did you get into Glee and Glee fandom?

My cousins forced me to watch the first episode on Netflix without telling me what it was (they told me it was a show about cheerleading) and when I realized it was glee, I said “absolutely not” but fell victim to peer pressure. One episode and I was hooked. How the mighty have fallen. 

For fandom, I started out looking for “Klaine and Finchel deleted scenes” and accidentally discovered fanfiction. When I realized that literally anybody could post on fanfiction.net, i joined, made some friends, and found tumblr from there, and well... here I am, some 8 years later lmao. At this point, I’m not leaving until I’m in a nursing home.

In general, what drew you into writing (and/or creating)?

From a young age, reading and writing was always one of my favorite pastimes. I don’t think I particularly have a way with words, per se, but I’ve always been drawn to interesting stories and like to think I write them. Growing up, I always loved listening to and telling stories of all different kinds from all different sorts of people. I think that there’s a social aspect to it, on some level, and I like the storytelling aspect of writing, and seeing how others react and are affected by the one I chose to tell. I really like the idea of creating something—especially now, with the internet—that could actually have an impact, however small, on another human being, who is just as alive and real as you are.

What was it about Glee that made you decide to write fanfic for it?

Glee (and Klaine) is actually the only fandom I’ve ever written for, and I think a part of it is that it was such an integral part of my adolescence, and the first show where I quite literally could not get enough of. I inhaled behind the scenes, spoilers, songs, gifs, and I suppose the next logical step was to continue expanding this world and characters that resonated so deeply with me through the only way I really knew how—writing. I just loved it (I still do lol) so much that I needed more, more, more, content, even if I had to create it myself lol

Have you been a part of other fandoms before? Have you written fanfiction pre-glee?

I did not write anything before Glee fic, but it didn’t introduce me to Caaron Philstopherson. The ship pretty much exclusively exists in fic, but it is seriously one of my favorite pairings. Aside from one incomplete AU and a One-Shot from earlier this year, I haven’t really written for it. But I’d like to!

Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?

I have been reeeeeeally feeling some Fake Dating lately, but alas, have no actual ideas for it.

Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?

Significant age gap (especially if one of them is underage) and student/teacher relationships. Also mpreg.

How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?

I think three??? (And always always walks a million in my head and one or two I started on and then forgot about)

Cornelia Street :  Three years ago, Kurt and Blaine went on a disaster of a date and never quite got off on the right foot. Now, just before they graduate from NYADA, there’s a national outbreak and they’re both self-quarantined in a mutual friend’s apartment.

Single and Sufficient :  Kurt is single and sufficient. He even joined a group for single people to hang out together and help each other stay single! No, it’s not depressing. No, it is not a cult. Kurt’s friends invite him on a camping trip they swear isn’t a couple’s trip (but totally is). So he invites his group—including Blaine Anderson, the leader of the group he does not have a crush on. Based on 6x03 of New Girl. AU AF.

Hey! Hope you are having a great day! I have a question or I guess it’s more of a Hang up when it comes to Bellarke this season and I’m hoping you can help alleviate the fear. Lol. So, I feel like for some reason that if becho truly were going to end this season (barring what we haven’t seen yet) I think that there would be more obvious signs. Like the camera showing echo being upset about bellamys devotion to Clarke. Because at the moment all echo has done is fully support bellamy. Help me!

Ahhhh I really should write a bigger meta on this. I have some from earlier in the season but I’m sure they’re very buried by now lol.

I think Be/cho will end this season and I think the seeds have been planted several times. So a few things:

1. Every single time there’s been a conflict between Echo’s plan and Clarke’s plan, Bellamy has gone with Clarke’s plan. (Echo wanted to get ready to fight in episode 3, Clarke wanted peace because they needed help. Bell went with peace. When Clarke dies, Echo wants revenge, but Bell sticks with Clarke’s peace plan. And so on) This shows that they are really, really not on the same page and haven’t been since the ring (She wanted to kill everyone, he said no). You also see Echo clearly wanting to talk about this at least once (6x03 I think) and he literally just pushes past her without even making eye contact.

1A (I thought of this at the end and didn’t want to go back to renumber everything). Connected to this is the repeated hints about Bellamy being her leader and her following him around like a good little spy. We’ve had it now pointed out twice fairly explicitly and a few more times by the fact that B & C have clearly become co-leaders once again and that B is backing up C rather than even discussing E’s plans. It’s a very imbalanced relationship that I think is coming to a head in 6x11.

2. The heaviest Bellarke scenes and episodes have been completely away from Echo. She wasn’t in 6x07 even though logically, she should’ve been with B, not Miller. She wasn’t in 6x05 when you see Bellamy realizing that Clarke isn’t Clarke. She was technically in 6x06 but completely apart from Bellamy the whole time. AND she wasn’t there comforting him afterwards like logic says she should’ve been. He shouldn’t have been bearing that pain alone.

3. Bellamy has more or less made it clear that he’s willing to sacrifice his family to save Clarke. While we haven’t seen the same circumstance for Echo, it’s telling that he’s willing to put everyone’s lives in danger for just the chance of saving Clarke.

4. Every conversation B & C have had touching on emotional issues has ended too soon. She walks away from the radio call conversation and he’s clearly not ready to let it go and he avoids talking about his sins after she tells him he’s part of her family.

5. That dance scene. He was watching Clarke, kept looking back to Clarke, and got into a fight with Echo during all of this despite, imo, Echo really doing nothing wrong.

6. We’ve now been told repeatedly that B & E have not been open with each other about the most important things in their lives despite having been together (presumably) for years. B & C know each other’s biggest fears and regrets and the defining moments of each other’s lives despite knowing each other for less than a year before being separated.

7. We’ve had the writers very blatantly point out that B has become more heart B than head B. Head B was on the ring. Head B worked with Echo. Heart B is not working out well with Echo because he’s not the same person he was on the ring. (Which goes way back to the foreshadowing line that nothing is going to change on the ground.)

8. That last scene between them in 6x08. There was a literal barrier put up between them knowing that this mission could very well end their lives and all E can say is “save clarke”? Why no “I love you” or anything of the sort from either of them? B at least says “be safe” which is a little better, but it still feels really cold and detached.

9. The repeated clues that C is the most important in B’s life. E isn’t stupid. E sees these things and I think off screen we’ve had way more headbutting about this fact.

So those are just the ones off the top of my head. Hope that helps relieve your fears a bit.

gonna catch up REAL quick then make an actual effort for the rest. thank you to @bunnykaye​ for doing this! 

1 - favorite season: 4 i just loved having the 3 pods and how different they were and how they built up on each other and how the final big bad was predictable but not. the way they brought back old characters, too - it was like a mini-season 5. i would say 5 or 6 were my favorite except each have an episode that upset me so much that i can’t watch... but s4 just always is incredible, start to end

2 - favorite episode: 6x03 there are so many great classic episodes, and i’m sure if i thought about it for more than a few seconds i could come up with a different favorite, but i’m always down for a girl’s night and seeing skimmons high together was so delightful. it was clear the writers and actors had sooo much fun with this episode, and the fitz and enoch story was interesting and weird too.

3 - favorite storyline: wibbly wobbly, timey whimey...stuff so basically all of season 5? i loved getting to the final episode and having the final puzzle piece come into place, then going back to rewatch and making the connections. as a doctor who fan (clearly lol) i just love time travel stories! and i had a half hour debate with my brother after the finale about what actually happened lmao. good times.

4 - favorite male character: LEO FITZ i see so much of myself in that fool and iain is one of the best actors in the cast, if not the very best. no wonder literally everyone else chose fitz lmao

5 - favorite female character: melinda may what can i say? i love my badass warrior milf. jokes aside, she’s such a cool and interesting character and despite people feeling like the writers didn’t know “what to do with her” after like season 4, i think they did an amazing job with her. she doesn’t have to be the center of drama. sometimes she’s just the badass that kicks alien ass. what more could you want???

6 - favorite friendship: the bus kids i just... i love our little children. i want them all to hang out.

7 - favorite ship: fitzsimmons skimmons isn’t canon and philinda is too sad. i would’ve said yoyomack but s6 kinda ruined it for me. so i’m gonna be a pleb and pick the heart of the show.

8 - favorite noncanon ship: bio...morse? idk what the names are i almost said skimmons but bobbi and jemma were way closer to being canon than skimmons imo. i mean, the bisexual energy coming off of fitz and jemma in the first pod of season 2 was palpable. damn. i mean, i totally understand. mack and bobbi can get it.

9 - favorite guest star: samuel l. jackson do you remember the first time you watched season 1 and director fury showed up outta nowhere at the end of episode 2 and you thought “holy shit that’s awesome!” and didn’t expect to see him ever again, and then he shows up later to SAVE FITZSIMMONS’ LIVES during the finale and provide witty banter and giant guns with coulson? cuz i do

The 100 Season 6 Speculations

Okay, so first of all I want to say I’m loving season 6 so far. Give me all of the delinquent interactions. I’m also obsessed with the Bellarke crumbs they are ALREADY GIVING US and how their repressed feelings for each other were shown (although not directly) in 6x02. A while ago I saw on Twitter that a reviewer compared The 100′s 6x02 episode to Motel California in Teen Wolf and now I totally see it. The way the plant toxin affects the delinquents parallels the werewolves being affected by the wolf’s bane... and the focus on the main group of delinquents (specifically Clarke, Bellamy, and Murphy) parallels the focus on the original core 4 in TW (Scott, Stiles, Allison, Lydia). I absolutely LOVED the core 4 dynamic in TW and I’m already loving this trio dynamic between Clarke, Bellamy, and Murphy. Give me more episodes like this! (and maybe add Raven after her and Clarke make up).

That said, I watched the first two episodes when they were leaked, so I’ve been DYING for the next episode 6x03. (Note: I’ve also been streaming them again since they’ve officially aired, so I’ve watched each one like 4 times). Since new content is finally coming next week, I wanted to get out some of my random speculations for what’s coming up later this season even though we literally know so little about this new planet, these new people, the creepy children, etc.. Of course, being curious (like a psychopath), I went through all of the season 6 episodes on IMDb to see what (if anything) it could tell me. I’m sure someone else has probably already done this, but I found some interesting things I needed to put out there...

6x03 

We already have a name “The Children of Gabriel” as well as a description (Clarke tries to win over the leaders of Sanctum in order to let her people stay. Meanwhile, Bellamy, Octavia, and Echo discover a new threat while on a mission to retrieve the transport ship.), so we have somewhat of a gist of what is coming next week. I don’t think they will fully go into the backstory of these “children of Gabriel” but we obviously know the geneticist from the flashback was named Gabriel and the actor, Ian Pala, is only listed for 2 episodes on his personal page and one of those is Sanctum (uncredited). So I’d assume this means we won’t get another flashback of him specifically or the origins of his “children”. But I do think when Clarke meets Russell and the other people somehow this backstory/history (at least a shortened version) will be explained. We know that the episode titles are all explicitly mentioned or referred to in the episodes themselves somewhere, so that’s my reasoning there.

However, I noticed one other small thing in the cast list that stuck out as strange/interesting. Sarah-Jane Redmond’s character (aka the Sanctum hostage that tried to hijack the mothership) is named Taylee in 6x02 but Tilly in 6x03. At first I thought it could have been some kind of error (idk) but it’s listed the same way on her personal IMDb actor page. Is she playing twins?? Is there validity to this clone theory I saw floating around and read about in the Hypable review?? Either way, I’m definitely interested in whatever that’s about. 

Also, I’m excited to meet JR Bourne’s character this episode! We obviously know he is Russell Lightbourne but after all my research (lol I’m taking this WAY more serious than I ever took school), I’m wondering if he’s not just a descendant of the Lightbourne’s but is actually a clone or somehow has the same consciousness from Mr. Lightbourne (Josephine’s dad) in 6x02 (again saw this in the Hypable article around a similar flame storyline theory since Becca created Eligius tech as well). It’s worth noting that we don’t actually know the character’s real name and Sean Maguire is just credited as Mr. Lightbourne -- no first name. Hmmmmm

6x04

Again we have a name “The Face Behind the Glass” and a short description (Clarke embraces the traditions of Sanctum and tries to make amends for her past actions.), but not much else... (or do we??) This episode is probably where we will see Clarke dancing in the room painting and maybe even the lanterns floating in the sky (ie. Sanctum tradition?) -- I’m thinking several “happy” moments with her. I also have a theory -- going out on a limb here -- that it is where we could see the whole “flashback” scene of Clarke in Mount Weather from the trailer. It’s probably not an actual flashback but some kind of hallucination or psychosis thing again, (or maybe even a dream?) but maybe that is where the title comes from -- she’s literally looking at herself from behind the broken glass in MW’s contamination rooms. OR we’re not quite there yet and it’s referring to the stained glass-looking red window/door thing that Emori was trying to open before going crazy in 6x01. 

The kicker for me in this episode’s listing was Jordan Bolger’s credit as Shaw, who we all saw die in 6x01. In what capacity is he coming back? Maybe it’s Raven’s hallucination or even a dream? I could see them showing us her full reaction once she knows what really happened to him, but I’m not sure how or in what way he would come back at some point in the episode (I say “come back” because the actor will actually appear). It will be super interesting how the sci-fi elements work on this new planet. We’ve already seen the eclipse-induced psychosis but what other strange things will occur or happen to our characters? If they are all facing their demons (ie. Clarke with Mount Weather and Octavia with Blodreina) I wonder how those scenes will be played out.

6x05

Again Jordan Bolger is credited... is Miles Ezekiel Shaw back again??? What is going on? 

6x06 - 6x07

I didn’t really notice anything super strange in episode 6, but GUESS WHO IS CREDITED FOR EPISODE 7: none other than Chris Browning as Jake fucking Griffin. Maybe this is another flashback or memory or hallucination -- assuming by Clarke.

Note: Madi is not credited to appear in 6x06 or 6x08 so I’m thinking her “kidnapping” or whatever happens with the creepy person who is holding her captive in the woods happens in 6x07. Or maybe it’s even earlier in 6x05?

6x08

In episode 8, the cast list introduces 2 notable new characters: Josephine VII and Hope. Okay, so with Josephine VII it could be some descendant of the original Josephine Lightbourne in the 6x02 flashback, but it could ALSO be another hint at this clone and/or flame consciousness theory. But Hope... where have we heard that name before? Oh yeah, Diyoza’s unborn child. But Diyoza hasn’t even had her baby yet and in the promo trailers it looked like she was shot (and possibly killed?). Also, this actress who plays Hope is like 6 years old, not a newborn baby. It’s still weird to me though because what are the chances there is another character -- another child, no less -- with that same name Diyoza mentioned she was planning to give her baby. Just seems a little too coincidental to me.

6x09

Okay, I’m going out on a limb here, but THIS MIGHT BE THE ICONIC RAVE SCENE FROM THE TRAILER. Stay with me... I was originally thinking this would happen earlier in the series when I saw this in the trailer, probably like everyone else, but in the IMDb cast list there are 5 “dancers” credited. I mean it is more logical for a rave scene to happen early in the season (because usually all the good things or happy stuff comes in the first half of the season and NEVER this late), but what else would “dancers” be credited for??? The 100 doesn’t do dance numbers LOL. Anyway this idea has me shook because if it is this late in the season, there is a better chance that Bellamy and Echo have ended things by this point and that super short blurry speck in the bottom right corner of the rave dance scene could be Bellamy (you know what I’m talking about). Will they actually make my LIFE and have Bellamy and Clarke dancing at that rave together? Seems way too good to be true, but I had to throw the possibility out there. I mean who knows, my Bellarke-owned ass can always hope for the best. 

After the slim possibility of that amazing possibility, here’s a scary thought to consider (sounds kind of like the show itself), this is the last episode of the season that credits Lola Flanery as Madi... WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO HER. Does whatever experiment being done on her in the promo trailer kill her? Pls don’t hurt Clarke’s smol child.

6x10

So here is where I started low key freaking out because the cast list dwindles DRAMATICALLY for credits this episode. We only have Eliza as Clarke, Shannon as Jordan, and Luisa as Emori out of ALL of the main characters we know and love. Something major has to happen for everyone else to suddenly become absent from this episode. And I’m a little scared to know what that is.

6x11

Okay thank god, the main characters are all back on the credits list for this episode. ALSO there is a new actor credited as young Echo. OMG an Echo flashback?! Will we finally understand who she was and why she is the way she is? Will I even care to get invested in her this late in the game?

Also, IMDb lists that this is the episode Bob Morley directs!

6x12 - 6x13

Our other mains are gone AGAIN from the cast list. It’s back to only listing Clarke and Jordan among the characters we already know. WTF is going on. I need answers NOW. To reiterate, I’m saying that IMDb doesn’t list Abby, Bellamy, Octavia, Raven, Murphy, Echo, Kane, Madi, Miller, or Jackson in episode 10, 12, or 13 (+ Emori in 12 or 13).

I’m honest to god just hoping that IMDb isn’t fully updated with the entire cast list in these last episodes yet -- is that a thing? pls tell me it is -- because if we don’t have a finale that includes Murphy, Raven, or most of all, BELLAMY... I swear to God I will riot. Of course, I’m hoping no one dies (obvi), but now that we know there is a season 7, could J Roth be trying to kill us with some dramatic cliffhanger where Clarke and Jordan are separated from the rest of the group? (PSA: STOP SEPARATING CLARKE FROM EVERYONE). But if so, why would this absence of all of those other characters be TWO WHOLE EPISODES? And during the two part finale of all things. UGHHH my mind is spiraling, someone pls calm me down.

On the plus side, 6x12 lists Antonio Negret as the director for the episode and we all know he brought us the brilliant (yet angsty AF) episode 5x08 last season where Bellamy poisoned Octavia to save Clarke. But if Bellamy isn’t even in this episode WHY SHOULD I EVEN BOTHER CARING.

What’s left that I missed? Probably a lot LOL. I tried going back to watch what I might have missed from the extended trailer but I couldn’t find the video ANYWHERE. It’s like disappeared from YouTube (says it is “unavailable”). What is that about?

Anyways, the scene with everyone together in the house (standing at the bar, shot looking at us) has to be in one of the episodes where all main cast members are credited -- I don’t think it will be the next one so maybe 6x04 or 6x05? Same thought for the Madi/Clarke reunion, I feel like that is in the same episode. I also have no idea when in the season Bellamy is going to strangle Russell with Clarke and Murphy in the room (again my favorite new trio!). And that being said I’m confused on JR Bourne because he was all hyped up as a new character this season but he’s only credited in the next episode 6x03. Does the strangling take place next week? It can’t right? Because Bellamy is off with Echo and Octavia on the other mission and Clarke is the only one in the castle. Also if 6x04 is Clarke trying to embrace the traditions of Sanctum and make amends, there is no way she could do that the episode after Russell (the leader of Sanctum) is killed. 

Sorry for the crazy rambling and this long AF post, but I have so much on my mind after this speculation deep dive. I need to just go to bed.

Happy Wednesday lovely Fandom :) Phew lord we’ve reached the eps I’ve only watched once. Because I was far too destroyed to watch them again. Knew my second time around would be my rewatch. I’m not ready emotionally. Will I ever be though? lol If we don't laugh we cry right? Ha Anyways I’m on a strict timetable before I move. So press forward I must. Sad at the lack of gifs in this one. But also understandable since we were all anxious af after this one. I am excited to do Tim analysis though. I always enjoy that.

Also pre-shout out to Eric and Melissa in this one. They never cease to amaze me with their acting chops and chemistry. Eric really kills me in this one in particular. Let us begin the slow breaking of our shipper hearts shall we? Also thank you to my readers for going through this with me. Once was hard enough. But revisiting isn’t any easier so thank you for coming with me on this journey. Off we go.

6x05 The Vow

We get our couple immediately after the cold open. I knew going into this ep it was going to be angsty. I just had no idea why or how bad it would be…It’s date night for our beautiful pair. I just love them constantly dating each other. Makes my soul so damn happy. I can’t put it into words well enough. We get ship crack in this opening sequence for sure though. The way they light up when they see one another. That never gets old. Lucy is lighting candles when her man enters in.

Tim couldn’t be any cuter just as happy for date night as she is. Looks like he’s carrying quite a bit into her apt. Lucy instantly notices his present for her. Tim continues with the cuteness and says yes and the beer is for him. This is so domestic I wanna die. This moment started off so precious I knew he we were in for a world hurt tbh. This scene was the calm before the storm.

Tim is not wasting any time getting a thank you kiss in. Lucy is lit up like a Christmas tree as she leans in for said kiss. I adore the smiles going into it. Making my shipper heart giddy af. Also his grip on her arm. Drawing her in nice and close. It’s doing things to me as they melt into each other. Lucy’s questioning face cracks me up as she pulls back. Tim picking up on it right away. Asking her 'What?' With so much sass I’m cackling. How he has grown in his sass heh

Lucy can’t help but note gift giving isn’t his normal love language. Fact that they’re talking about love languages has me reeling so much. It’s just so cute. I'm squeeing at how friggin precious and domestic this is. Tim challenges her back. Asking what is his love language then? Their banter right here is one of their love languages let's be honest LOL Always top tier with some flirtation mixed in for good measure.

Lucy being cute as all hell replies ‘Terse nods mainly.’ I mean she isn’t wrong haha There have been some wonderful sets about this line. Man sure does love his terse nods. For her especially. Mainly her really. Tim continues his trajectory towards adorable with his reply. Letting her know he’s trying to change things up.

The smile on that man’s face. Oh my word. I said this a lot in S5 and I’ll say it again. Have we ever seen this man so damn happy before her? The answer is a sharp no. Not ever. She is the absolute joy in his life. It just radiates out of him when they’re together. Especially when they’re bantering. Ugh my heart. These two kill me in the best way.

Lucy then turns into an adorable little bean herself. Asking Tim if she can open it now? She is so excited about this impromptu gift. No way she can wait through their dinner to open it. Tim say of course she can. I’m sure he was hoping she would open it right away. Especially with the thought he put into it. Also well done on the wrapping good sir.

Lucy’s reaction is delightful. It reminds me of the way she reacted in 6x03 with her trophy. Blown away by this man’s thoughtfulness. Not only that but making her laugh in the process as well. We get a second in love 'Lucy smile' in the second gif. He is so gone for her. Man they were really setting us up for a fall with the goodies they packed into this scene.

I love how Tim locks eyes with her and is beaming ear to ear. No one makes him smile like that except Lucy. Legit the sunshine in this man’s life. I can’t get over how damn happy he looks. My heart might implode at how happy he is. Happiness looks so good on him. Also how proud he looks as well at his choice in gift. Patting himself on the back for it hehe

We see it’s her KIA radio in a display case. Lucy looking at him like he’s hung the moon and stars. Bringing out her own in love 'Tim smile.' She too is beaming right back. Heart eyes paired with that joyful smile. Tim for this moment (not the rest of this ep) is once again 10/10 for her. Commemorating her takedown of Jeff Budny. Saw an excellent parallel between this and 2x12. About Tim giving back things that saved her life for him. My damn heart. I’m fine….

Tim continues on to say it was to memorialize the radio that saved her life. So grateful to that radio for taking the hit it did. I remember thinking how that radio represented her communication problems. Little did I know it would soon represent Tim’s as well. The irony of this gift will hit us painfully hard later in this episode. Having watched rest of the season as well it represents their’s as a couple too. *sigh*

Anyways we get a SECOND kiss in this moment. That’s how I knew it was coming like a freight train at us. We got cuteness, flirtation, banter and two kisses in one scene. They were setting us up for a very hurtful fall. They just look like two happy idiots in love. *dreamy sigh* I wanna die it’s so precious. They fall back into each other for this second kiss.

The look in Lucy’s eyes ready to thank him for this radio. Not with dinner but some sexy times. That kiss before it’s interrupted looked like it was headed for the bedroom. Dinner be damned at that point. The way Tim is leaning heavily into that kiss too. Ready to go in for more. His patented first kiss need an immediate second one well underway. Phew lord. He was more than ready to receive that thanks LOL

Sadly Tamara steps through the door. Doing what she does best. Be a wet blanket for their bedroom endeavors. I love her anyways though haha She instantly apologizes saying she forgot it was date night. Tim sighs as they pull apart and Lucy goes into mom mode after she hits Tim. haha It’s so cute. Little damn family up in here.

Tamara says she can hide in her room. Lucy replies that’s not necessary. That she can make a plate for her room if she’d like though. Then the scene takes a giant shift in tone. Tim receives the phone call that ruins our entire shipper lives. It sounds dramatic but it’s really not…Tim’s whole demeanor changes. Lucy is crazy intuitive to it. Her internal Tim radar going haywire. The tight way he replies and says he has to go.

Lucy wanting follow up questions. It’s the way she says. ‘Just wait.’ Not wanting him to go. *heart clutch* The sheer panic and worry developing in her soul and in ours. That gnawing unsettling feeling we feel through out the rest of the episode. Breaks my heart. She clearly spent the whole day waiting to be with him for their date night. Only to have him taken away with no answers. Lucy looks SHOOK as her entire heart walks out the door. It's written all over her face. His abrupt departure filling her with questions and worry. So it begins…

We see Tim pull up in his truck to the pre-arranged spot. A man comes out of his own car and enters in. I was on pins and needles waiting to see wtf this was about. Who the man was. Why he had the power to make Tim, basically run from date night with his girl. I knew in the back of my mind had to be his military past. Only thing I could think of to make him spook like this.

They shake hands when he gets into the truck. He thanks Tim for coming. Our boy replies he didn’t have a choice. If Ray is alive they have a big problem. The intrigue meter continued to grow. Who was this Ray? What problem did he present to them both? Tim looks like he’s seen a ghost when he’s shown Ray’s photo. He was supposed to have died in an air strike….He's been working as a gun for hire and came into LAX the day before.

Tim asks why he would come to L.A? Apparently his mom is dying of cancer. That’s who they’re staking out. It’s here we find out what the vow is. And it’s not a good one….Tim is not onboard for honoring this pact they made. To kill Ray if he ever resurfaced. To pay him back for the friends he killed. We see the conflict on Tim's face. How he doesn’t know how he’s gonna tackle this. Eric killing me softly early on in this one. His eyes alone scream so much emotion.

We see Lucy unable to sleep. In what I can only assume is Tim’s shirt. I think Melissa confirmed it was and thanked the fans for their keen eye. It’s the little things we love so much. Lucy is clearly missing him. So naturally she sleeps in a shirt of his. Also her DOD ring and her necklace are in plain view as well. Killing me softly. She can’t sleep because he’s supposed to be next to her. His consistent calming presence is missing and she can’t relax enough to rest.

Their date night was supposed to end with him asleep by her side. Not this. We can see the anxiety just seeping out of her. Don’t blame her one bit. No one knows that man better than her. From the second he took that phone call she knew. Deep in her gut that not only was something off but very very wrong. Her whole being emanating unease and concern. I feel you Lucy. The rapport and connection they’ve built over last 5 seasons coming in hot here.

Lucy looks sick to her stomach and it makes me wanna cry. The hurts so good is ever present in this scene. She is missing him and crazy worried. Her rampant anxiety is not letting her rest. My guess is other than 6x01 they’ve scarcely spent a night apart. The way he took off is scaring the shit out of her with good reason. So she tries to quell it with a phone call. Sadly she gets his VM. Her message to him makes my stomach sink more. Lucy is used to being his go to. She was left in the cold and her stress level is rising due to it.

Tim watches her call and VM come in. He looks pained at not being able to answer it. It’s the way he sighs and closes his eyes. It’s killing him to keep her at a distance. Eric out here trying to murder my feels with his superb acting. This truly begins the immense breakdown that is their communication. Lucy showed her hand at it before this ep in 6x04. Now it’s Tim’s turn at it. We had indications of it but s6 showed us how glaring it is. The cracks in their foundation were there. We just didn't want to see it. These are the issues Eric wanted to tackle.

Honestly when we're on the other side of this I'll be real grateful for it. Till then this just hurts. Now Tim’s communication probs are particularly glaring in these in this ep and the next. Pains me to write it but our boy has serious issues with stuff like this. You know he knows she is at home worried sick. That’s why he looks so pained. Tim knows her just as well as she does him. Very aware she is panicked and worried about where he is. If he’s ok. Absolutely killing him to keep her in the dark. To Tim right now he think's despite that it's the right call.

This is Tim Bradford so he thinks he’s doing it to protect her. To keep her from his dark past affecting her. If he distances himself and handles it solo it’ll be ok. Because he doesn’t need help. Wants shoulder this alone. Oh Timothy, my love you are so wrong. It pains me how wrong you are. His childhood issues screaming out in this decision. Which we will get into. That gif of Captain Holt's ‘Paaaaiiiin’ gif is fitting right here. *sad sigh*

Greer rejoins Tim in the truck with his recon. Tim is clearly uncomfortable with this whole thing. Weighing so many things at the moment. What he has to lose with any action they do. His soul is already so heavy with the past. It pains me to watch this. Tim is trying so hard to talk Mark out of this. Asking what they’re really going to do? What the point of all this really is? Noting them even talking about this is criminal conspiracy. Greer gas lights Tim this entire episode and I do not appreciate it.

Saying he can’t believe the ‘Reaper.’ is going soft on him. He is softer because of a wonderful woman named Lucy Chen. He’s in love with a person who is beautiful inside and out. One who has changed him so much. So yeah he’s softer now Greer. Also the first time I heard that nickname it made me fan myself. Is that wrong? lmao Idk if it is but I found it insanely attractive. I probably shouldn’t haha But here we are. With me still finding that service nickname sexy. I am who I am. Tim says he isn’t soft. He’s only thinking of what’s at risk here.

They can’t be committing murder, because of a pact that was made years and years ago. I love Tim’s line about they made it in the anger and fog of war. No doubt, with his nickname alone, we can see how angry Tim was going into the service. How could he not be? He came from a household where his emotions were suppressed heavily. So there is zero doubt in my mind he went into the service full of anger. Not only angry but loyal af as we know. That combination alone would result in this pact/vow being made.

Tim is almost reflecting on how much he has grown since that moment in time. There was a lot of talk about the ways Tim hasn’t changed following this episode. Hell even inside this ep with him keeping Lucy at bay. But he has. He changed so very much since Lucy came into his life. It’s why he brings up the lives they’ve built. The life he is currently building with his soulmate. The jobs they hold.

That angry young man doesn’t exist anymore. The one who would murder for his squad in retaliation. Now Tim still has that instinct in him. Don’t get me wrong; scorched earth for those who mess with his loved ones. But this? This situation puts the life he’s built at risk. Puts the love of his life at risk within the department. Unfortunately Tim is still loyal af and Greer uses that against him.

Gas lights him some more. Saying how they’ll never get to build lives because of Ray. Pulling on that thread of guilt that lives deep inside Tim's soul. Trying to reawaken a man that is long gone at this point. But is still loyal to a fault. Weighed down with enough tortured guilt to keep this going. I resent Mark for using it against him I really do. Friggin stunard...My Italian rage coming out for Greer.

It’s here we find out more about what went down between them all. Not only that but WHY him being around is such a damn problem for Tim/Mark. I would be remiss if I didn't note this. How much I am enjoying Tim in street clothes. Mmm nice and scruffy too. He is scruffy most of this season and I am here for it. He looks so good in that jacket it’s sinful. How can he make such a simple jacket so attractive? Yum. Ray asks what they’re doing here? Greer pipes in to bring him to justice. He asks for what?

Tim starts to list off the numerous reasons why. Going AWOL, faking his death, felony grand theft, stealing half million from the government. Just to name a few sweet lord… Then to top it off, he called in an air strike on his own guys when they came for him. Ugh. Real peach this one. That there wasn’t enough of Henderson and Coyle to fit in a shoe box….ooof. It’s here we find out what Ray has on them. That he read the after action report. That it didn’t read that way. Tim justifies it by saying it only reads that way so his wife and daughter got his death benefits.

Of course that’s the most Tim Bradford thing ever. ‘Some things matter more.’ Only breaking the rules if it’s for the greater good. We talk a lot about Lucy’s empathy but don’t sleep on Tim’s. It runs very very deep. This is proof it was a huge part of him before the Isabel trauma buried it and Lucy resurrected it. That being said this doesn’t look good at all for Tim. By bringing Ray in it endangers their service record and their current jobs. Because as kind as what they did was. It has consequences because they lied on an official government document. My stomach turned even farther with this scene.

Eric KILLS me in this portion. This man has no right making me this emotional. How has he not won any awards? His beautiful shimmering blue eyes cutting me deep. Eric is so expressive in just his eyes alone. But he gives this scene everything he’s got in his arsenal my god. They get away from Ray’s to talk. Tim immediately says they’re not killing him. It’s not happening. (Someone needs to capture this scene in gif form BTW) It's a crime there isn't one. Mark tries to appeal he’s dead anyways.

Tim won’t hear of it. Says it won’t matter when the nightmares come knocking. And we know he’s had those nightmares. Not just about the service but about 5x19. About the life he was forced to take. Tim says they need to just come clean about everything. They don’t have a choice. Greer fights him some more. Saying it’s just going to blow up their lives as a result. Tim tells him he won’t let that happen. He’ll take the fall for him. Ugh Tim no. You have a life that’ll get blown up too my love. A woman who would be devastated to watch this take you down.

There's a Lyric from a band I love. "A thousand scars betray me Oh, what's another one?" That is Tim in this moment. What's one more emotional scar? Better than Greer losing his life because of what he chose. Tim's integrity is one of my fav traits about him. It’s the one I relate to the most. Because I am the same way. It drives a lot of my decisions. He's so willing to fall on his sword because he bears the weight of that decision still. Mark pleads some more but Tim won’t have it. Says he can’t with tears in his eyes. (I'm fine....) He is not that hot headed young man anymore. Life has kicked him around and he’s seen things. This isn’t the path and he won’t let Greer take it.

Tim follows up with he won’t let him do it. Even if it’s without him. It’s here where Eric just rips my heart out with his performance. When Mark asks him if he would arrest him if he killed Ray? It’s the way his voice breaks. Tears threatening to fall when he chokes out ‘Yes.’ Rip my heart right out writers sweet lord. Greer says he’s out then. But I wanna deck him for his reply after that. He hangs all future crimes Ray does on Tim. I don’t curse very often in these. But how fucking dare you sir. How dare you put that on this man.

He is already riddled with so much guilt and shame. His soul is ten times heavier than it should be. Because Tim shoulders things deeply. Not only that he does it solo. A chunk of what weighs his soul down isn’t even his fault. Tim is a much deeper empath than he’s given credit for as I stated earlier. He absorbs the feelings and pain of those around him. Takes them in and never lets it go. It’s why he was and honestly still is so rigid as a cop. That iconic line ‘Rules matter boot.’ Was his PTSD in a line and we had no idea back in S2.

Because anytime this man has let his guard down to break the rules it’s hurt him. Mitch, Isabel and we now find out about this. Tim did the right thing and yet he’s paying the price not Ray. It’s the hitch in his breath as Mark takes off that’s the final emotional blow for me. I just want to hug him so much. The way he tries to catch his breath after he’s gone. Finally releasing all the emotions he was bottling up. You can see why he was wants to retreat to one person who will make him feel whole again. It’s why his next scene is with Lucy….

This scene we get to see Melissa shine along side Eric. Killing us softly with their angsty goodness. We watch the sheer amount of relief run across Lucy’s face. It's evident when she hears his keys in the door. The happy relief is fleeting though. Her opening line is salty af as it should be. ‘Oh good, you’re not dead.’ She is ready to rip into him and rightfully so. Hurts to watch but she has every damn right to. She kept it together for work. But now that he’s in front of her she doesn’t have to. Her sass turns into the anxiety and worry she’s gone through. Telling him that his sorry isn't good enough. (it’s not…)

Saying she spent the last THIRTY-SIX hours. (That's a day and a half Timothy...) Worried he was bleeding out in various landmarks all over the city. Ugh poor Lucy. That’s very taxing on your nervous system to be in that state of mind for that long. That’s way too long to go without communication. But this is pre-therapy Tim so...Communication isn’t his strong suit when he isn’t in fight or flight mode. One of my fav lines of the scene. ‘Telling me you’re alive is NOT optional.’ Hell no it's not. The hitch in her voice and tears in her eyes. Gah killing it Mel.

Trying to communicate clearly to him this behavior isn’t going to fly. Not ever. Rewatching this season, it pains me how many hints the writers gave us about their communication problems. Now Lucy is trying here. With telling him what he did was not ok in the least. She then asks what the hell is making him so crazy? Expecting him to tell her. Tim’s reply is vague and only serves to make her angrier. Especially when he says he’s doing it to protect her status at the station. She asks if he committed a crime?

The irony of this scene is that radio being prominently shown. How it was a happy thing 36 hours ago. Now it’s a symbol of their dysfunctional communication as a couple. Tim tells her no…Not technically. The fire continues to build in Lucy. Angrily retorting how it’s serious enough she could be disciplined for not reporting it then. Tim tries to do his protection line for her but it doesn’t land at all. The fire in her is raging at this point. She stands up and angrily asks what he’s doing here then? Tim is so taken aback by this. His reply breaks my heart. Stumbling over himself ‘I...I came to see you…’

To Tim it’s his default to go to her. When he’s upset or lost he goes to Lucy. Seeking her out like the sanctuary she’s always been for him. Has been for years. Even more so since they got together. Tim came to be near his comforter and happy place. Wanting her to envelop him in her arms and take his hurt away. Unfortunately my love, she can’t help or take away what she doesn’t know about. It’s why her hellfire continues on. Lucy absolutely obliterates him with her reply. 'To what? Order take in? Watch TV? Pretend like nothing is going on?' Tim so desperately wants to sink into solace he’s used to. But he won’t let himself tell her what's going on.

Thus denying himself the one thing he came here for. Her. Lucy (who is wearing the same blouse from 5x12 btw. Way to push the knife deeper writers) tells him if he’s not here to tell her to truth.... We pan back to Tim’s face. She can read him like a book and knows he’s not going to. She then tells him he’s needs to leave. My heart is on the floor at this point. I totally understand her drawing this boundary. I truly do. Lucy is trying to show him there are consequences to his actions. Holding him accountable. That he needs to communicate and trust her. Lucy wants him to see despite the ramifications she is there for him. Sadly Tim doesn’t see this hence her asking him to leave. My poor shipper heart.

To make matters worse Eric is personally attacking me with his teary eyes and hurt puppy dog expression. Had to get this gif in. Why? Because it beautifully captures the devastation of her sending him away. We haven’t seen him this visibly upset since 4x09. Except this time his person isn’t there to make his tears go away. She is the one causing them and sending him away. The range of emotions flitting across his face has me bawling my eyes out. The man deserves all the awards once again. The way his eyes convey so much. How utterly wrecked he is. It's written all over his expression.

Eric brought it so hard in this episode holy hell. Tim came to her seeking out the comfort of normalcy from her. As we all know our boy needs his routine and structure to stay sane. Lucy has become an intricate part of that. He sought out his girlfriend to stabilize himself. Sadly there was no comfort to be found for him. Gotta give to get my poor broken boy. As much as it’s frustrating to watch him do this I get it. As I said earlier he has the tendency to shoulder burdens alone. It’s how he has survived most of his life. Doesn't excuse it just explains it.

His childhood is a massive proponent of why he operates this way. He came from an abusive household as we all know. Where he had to turn off his emotions and learn not to ask for help. If he did it only served to further the abuse. Also it was looked upon as weak. Was seen as useless if you did. When that is ingrained in you at an early age it is so friggin hard to get rid of it. It's an instant default for him. It’s not something being loved properly just gets rid of. If anything it only makes it worse on some level. Because it means you something to lose as Tim does in Lucy.

To explain Tim’s side of it I need to give a little piece of me. I can relate because of what my mother did to me growing up. It’s something I fight to this very day. I hope one day it’ll be easier and less of a deep grove in my brain I go to. Most of my childhood as I’ve shared was full of emotional abuse. My mom didn’t like it if you spoke your mind or messed up in any way. If you did you got the silent treatment for weeks on end. I wish I was kidding. She once went three weeks without speaking to me as a kid. Pretending like I didn’t exist. Felt like I didn’t have a mother. As I got older her default punishment only got worse. When I went to college my baby sister got engaged couple years in.

To a wonderful man. They're still married and happy btw. But my mother could see herself losing her control over my sister. Told me to pick between her and my baby sister. The choice was easy. I picked my sister. She then abandoned me and didn’t speak to me for 18 months after that. Her doing that made me feel like, whenever I stand up for myself or make a mistake with someone I love, I’m going to be abandoned. I just recently got into a fight with said sister. I had that exact same panic after I stood up for myself thinking she was going to discard me. She has proven time and again that’s not true. It’ll never be true. My sister and her husband have always made room for me in their lives here in CO. Made me feel loved unconditionally.

The same will be true when I join them in TN when I move. And yet that deep ingrained thought that she would abandon me still appeared. Worried that because I had stood up for myself she would do what my mom did. She didn’t cause loves me. But I’m still not used to the idea of unconditional love. It’s hard to grasp when you’ve never really had it before. So this is where I related to Tim so hard and defaulting to doing this alone. I’m in my 30s and this still affects me deeply even with therapy. Tim is pre-therapy and not seeing the unconditional love Lucy has for him. Which is a precursor for 6x06 honestly. You could have the best human in the world loving you and still not accept it or understand that you even have it.

Tim doesn’t know how to ask for help and to see Lucy would love him through his mistakes. He’s protecting her but also himself in this moment. Because he’s ashamed of what he’s involved in. That she won’t love him anymore due to his past sins. So he’s keeping her at a distance from him. Thinking it’s protecting her from his toxic past. But also protecting him from losing her as well. This scene, sadly, is the result of many miscommunications since they started boiling up and over. A gradual escalation toward breaking apart. This was a incredibly hard scene to stomach and watch. Lucy is vibrating with how upset she is when he says ‘Understood’ and leaves. Un-break my heart you guys.

Another banger of a song running through this final scene. The songs always hit and work so well with the tempo of a scene. It’s ’Teeth.’ By mallrat. Have a whole playlist of songs from this show I love it. We see Lucy looking at her phone fighting the urge to call Tim. Despite their epic fight she misses him. It clearly shows. Tamara brings her out of her thoughts by plopping on the couch. Asking her what she's doing?I adore her saying she is going to be a good girlfriend. Trust her man. *heart damn clutch* HER MAN. It’s the little morsel we all needed after that heated argument of insane pain.

I am most grateful for Tamara in this moment. Wanted to shove her out the door in the opening scene though. LOL Nolan is such a failure to be there for Lucy earlier in the ep. Where as Tamara is clutch af in this moment. She is emotional support while Lucy goes through this. Talks it out with her. Tamara asks if she’s heard anything? Lucy tells her about their heated fight last night. That it’s been their only contact….That Tim just stood there. Lucy seems so at a loss and it hurts my heart.

Tamara makes her laugh and says they should put a tracker in his truck lmao Lucy calling her out for being a bad influence. Tamara follows up that No, she’s just a really good teacher. Lucy is floored replying what? Wasn't able to fit this in but her lessons learned are hilarious. No coffee in gun hand and head on a swivel. The swivel part had me laughing so hard. What a goober. I love them. Just the levity Lucy needed. I need more of them in S7.

We pan back to Tim in his truck. Longingly looking at his phone. Specifically at Lucy’s contact page. He is breaking on the inside without her and yet can’t force himself to let her in. Also would’ve killed me if it had a pic of Lucy or of them. I would’ve legit died of happiness. What a missed opportunity writers. He is missing her so much and is dying to reach out. Wants her by his side but can’t overcome his wiring to do so.

His default is to go to her. To talk to her. Once again just another look into their broken communication. When one stops so does the other and it goes to shit. They are partners in every sense of the word except for their communication. They were stellar at that with work. It blows my mind how quickly that broke down when they got together. They had something extra special to lose when they did though. *sigh* s7 you have work to do.

We see Tim refocus his sights on Ray. Tasked with the mantle Mark Greer thrust upon him. He’s now on a crusade to catch him before Tim has anything else to add to his soul…. Phew this was an emotionally draining one to get though and it’s not even the harder of two. Phew lord. Nolan is absolutely useless when Lucy comes to him for help. Their friendship truly fell apart when Jackson died. Any rapport or connection shot to hell. He can’t read the utter panic she is in and I hate him for it. As useful as a paper hat in a rainstorm to keep you dry.

in your opinion what is the best, or your favorite, episode in each season?

I’m glad you phrased your question the way you did. My favorite episode might not necessarily be what I think is the best. I’ll try to give both if they don’t match.

Also, I don’t consider season 8 canon, so I’ll be skipping that one.

Season 1

Favorite: "Prom Night” (1x19).

Reasoning: Hyde’s characterization gets an overhaul. Now that his role as Eric’s villainous, selfish foil is ended, he becomes someone who sacrifices his own comfort, and even safety, to protect and help the vulnerable -- even if it’s someone he doesn’t personally like. He gains complexity and is shown to have a personal code of honor, a one-eighty from his depiction in the previous episodes. This character change/development is reconfirmed and deepened in “The Good Son” (1x25).

“Prom Night” also has the one Jackie/Kelso scene that actually moves me emotionally: their slow dance to “Freebird” while everyone else leaves the Prom. In that moment, I actually believe their relationship could evolve from the obvious love they have for each other. But Kelso ruins that potential by cheating on Jackie again the very next episode. 

Eric and Donna’s storyline in the episode is both funny and touching. Plus, Fez gets his moment to shine in front of his whole class while dancing with Gloria Gaynor.

Best: “The Pill” (1x17).

Reasoning: Donna and Jackie both take control of their bodies in this episode. The 1970s aren’t just window dressing (as they become during later seasons), but the episode’s story is still relevant today. Donna and Jackie’s friendship deepens -- and is directly stated as a friendship. Eric dislike of Jackie and loyalty to Kelso are thrust aside; instead, he’s protective of Jackie and wants Kelso to act responsibly.

Jackie breaks up with Kelso, having a moment of clarity, and chooses herself first (sadly, it doesn’t last).

Season 2

Favorite/Best: “Cat Fight Club” (2x25)

Reasoning:  I consider this season to be the best in terms of writing, characterization, humor, and consistency, so this choice is the best of the best.

This episode gives us the core or key to Hyde’s character. (Notice a theme here? *lol*). But the storyline shows Jackie beginning to integrate well with the group without Kelso -- and that the group’s loyalty to Kelso isn’t blinding or all-encompassing (at least here). It reveals Kelso’s cruelty and hypocrisy, depicts Jackie’s vulnerability and inexperience dealing with such cruelty, and Hyde teaching her how to protect herself. By doing so, he makes himself vulnerable to her by revealing his own self-protection techniques. This pays off (i.e. Jackie uses her knowledge of Hyde to reveal his true feelings) in “Jackie Bags Hyde” (3x08).

We also see in this episode Donna supporting Jackie and putting herself at risk during the scrap with Laurie. Eric expresses his approval and admiration for Jackie, too; as does Hyde, albeit differently. Jackie truly kicks ass in “Cat Fight Club,” literally and figuratively.

Season 3

Favorite: “Jackie Bags Hyde” (3x08)

Reasoning: Despite that the episode ends with Jackie not feeling any emotional connection with Hyde during their kiss, the rest gives us plenty of great development of Jackie and Hyde -- as individuals and as a pair. I’ve written plenty of metas about this episode, so won’t rehash the analysis here.

The Veteran’s Day BBQ war between Red and Bob is entertaining, as well, and gives us deeper characterization for Red, Bob, Eric and Donna. Red puts his pride aside to boost Bob’s, which desperately needs it. Red, like Hyde, can and will put his own needs and comfort aside to help someone who needs it.

Best: “Red Sees Red” (3x02)

Reasoning: The storyline of Red trying to keep his kids, including Hyde, from smoking pot and the conclusion where Kitty takes back the house is really well-written. It’s full of humor, character development, and depicts the dynamic among different pairings and groupings of characters.

Season 4

Favorite: “Donna’s Story” (4x08)

Reasoning: This was a tough decision for me. Many episodes of season 4 have elements I enjoy, like Red and Hyde’s scene in “Hyde’s Birthday” (4x23), but I chose “Donna’s Story” because it’s the one that gives me the most laughs. Donna’s and Eric’s stories are both ridiculous and over-the-top, but they represent each character’s POV accurately. 

Best: “It’s a Wonderful Life” (4x01)

Reasoning: The episode is a fascinating, and frightening, AU of That ‘70s Show (far more interesting than the AU that is season 8). Eric’s pain at losing Donna is palpable, but his choice to keep it so that he can keep his memories of their love, too, is incredibly moving.

Season 5

Favorite: “Black Dog” (5x09)

Reasoning: Even though Hyde’s character is retconned to having no ability to provide verbal comfort (“Red’s Birthday” [2x10] and “Kelso’s Serenade” are just two examples where Hyde is shown to give verbal comfort skillfully), he never gives up trying to cheer Jackie up. He confides in Mrs. Forman listens to Eric and Donna’s advice, and ultimately sacrifices something that gives him pleasure (i.e. his beard) so that Jackie knows she’s loved and that he’ll do what he can to put her first.

Best: “Going to California” (5x01)

Reasoning: It’s another episode that’s good from start to finish. The plot and humor arise from character. Although I wish Eric and Donna had actually dealt with what broke them up, it’s a problem that’s bigger than this episode; it should’ve been dealt with during the first three or four episodes of the season. Eric and Donna do have a lovely reunion in “Going to California,” however, and -- of course -- the reveal of Jackie and Hyde’s relationship is a wonderful culmination of four years of development.

Season 6

Favorite/Best: “Magic Bus” (6x03)

Reasoning: Eric/Donna, Jackie/Hyde, and Red/Kitty all get great storylines in this episode. Season 6 tends to force characters to serve plot and punchline instead of letting plot and punchline. This episode, though, is a prime example of how the most satisfying stories and humor arise organically from the characters’ personalities and feelings, their conflicts, and their choices.

Season 7

Favorite: “Oh, Baby (We Got a Good Thing Goin’) (7x18)

Reasoning: Season 7 is the beginning of the end. The choices made here led to season 8, and “Oh, Baby (We Got a Good Thing Goin’) is the last truly happy episode for Jackie and Hyde. We get significant scenes of them together as a couple, and we see that they truly enjoy spending time with each other, how well they know each other, and how well they fit together.

Their harmony is meant to stand in contrast to and reveal Red and Kitty’s disharmony at the car show, mainly for humor, but we get a preciously rare look at what Jackie and Hyde’s relationship is like without conflict and drama.

Best: “Beast of Burden” (7x04)

Reasoning: Plot and humor arise organically from the characters. Hyde is conflict over his loyalty to Red vs. his desire to build a relationship with W.B. Red ultimately makes the choice for him, showing his selfless love for Hyde. Jackie, too, expresses her unconditional love for Hyde (”If [working with grease] makes you happy, than I’m happy”).

Fez’s subplot isn’t great, but most episodes of season 7 are uneven.

So I was going to rename this a “hatewatch” now that I’ve gotten to a whole season I hadn’t seen before, but let’s be honest. If you’ve seen me reblogging things from later seasons, it was never going to be that. There are things that I knew I was going to enjoy VERY MUCH, and I wasn’t wrong. Richonne in Retrospect

#38: The Advocate (6x03)

I love that Michonne is always willing to be Rick’s advocate. Rick can be in some interesting head spaces or make some interesting first impressions sometimes lol, but because she gets him on such a deep level she’s able to help other people understand him too.` 

And she doesn’t hesitate to defend her man, which is made very clear in this episode. Cuz Heath learns the golden rule in these next moments, honey. 💯 

When the group enters this plaza type area, Glenn and Michonne have a quick leaders meeting where Glenn expresses how he needs to get home but he’s not leaving the ASZ people behind, and then Michonne says, “Rick knows what he knows, but we’re ahead of the herd…we can stop, we can make it.”

And this is why she’s such a great fit for Rick; because she’s always mindful of his perspective while also understanding there can be another way to go about it. Like she has this great balance of respecting him while also thinking for herself. 

The group stays in this pet shop and Michonne tells Heath how the plan is to stay quiet in here until they can leave. She mentions how they’ll have to lead the walkers away if they have to, to which Heath makes an underhanded comment saying, “Cuz that’s been working well lately.” I was like “Heath you are stepping into dangerous territory. Cuz that’s her man’s plan you’re dissing rn.” 😬

Michonne responds saying, “I’m trying here. I’m not giving up.” Heath says “Not yet.” Cuz he doesn’t realize how much Michonne really is a person who genuinely cares for people.

Glenn tells them he has a plan to burn the buildings and because Michonne is literally always willing to take on a task, she tells Glenn that she’ll do it and he should stay here.

Glenn tells her it’s his plan so it’s on him and Michonne immediately says, “You have a wife, Glenn.”

It’s interesting that this is her first response. Relationships are on her mind, y’all.👌🏽 

I’m sure hearing David talk about his wife really has her more aware of how important a relationship like that is, even if it’s someone you fell in love with after the world fell.

And I feel like Michonne has to have an inkling by now that she has someone like that in her life too. 

Like when she tells Glenn he has a wife, I was like “But sis you are a wife, so you have to be careful too.” 😋

Glenn tells her, “That’s why I’m doing this. You gotta get everybody back. You’re the one who can.” 

And that last part sounds real familiar. Cuz Rick feels the exact same way and he lets her know in 7x12. I love that people know the potential Michonne has to lead. 👸🏾

When Glenn tells them to leave if he’s not back Michonne is adamant that she won’t leave without him cuz, “That is not the way this works.” TF is loyal, y’all. 👌🏽

And then Glenn assures her he’ll meet up with them or send a sign that he’s okay. (Which, looking back, this is all totally trying to hint at Glenn “not coming back” at the end of the episode.)

Heath continues to make digs when he tells the injured Alexandrians that they don’t leave people behind and then he looks at Michonne and says, “Not us.”

And Michonne picks up on the shade and lets them know, “No one is leaving anyone behind.” I was like, look at Michonne being a good rep for TF. 👏🏽 Cuz Heath isn’t putting any respek on their name but she’s showing them that her group is capable of caring for them and sticking with them.

Heath leaves and then Michonne goes over to ask if he has a problem with her cuz that’s definitely the message that he’s sending.

Heath says he’s just looking out for his people and Michonne says, “And you think that I’m not?”

Heath confesses that he heard what Rick told her and Glenn, and then Michonne has the wise approach of asking which part. 

It’s smooth cuz she’s careful not to rat out Rick lol. She wants to let Heath clarify what he heard before confirming or denying anything Rick said. 👌🏽 

Heath then reiterates pretty much exactly what Rick said, which is they wouldn’t all make it and that they should leave them behind if they can’t keep up. And I was like…

I can see how that would sound upsetting to Heath but I was just like, “Heath lemme explain; Rick is in love with this woman and just hasn’t fully realized it yet, so naturally he’s going to be a bit more adamant that she makes it back safe.” 😋

I love that Michonne responds by laying out the facts. She reminds him that Glenn is out there risking his life for everyone and she’s still here with them so…

Heath says, “Things are gonna get worse and then we’ll see” and Michonne is ready with the response of, “Yeah we will.”

I appreciate that Michonne then comes to her man’s defense. She advocates for Rick by saying, “Rick said what he said because sometimes you don’t have a choice.” And I love that even if she didn’t’ agree with Rick’s thinking, like we saw when she responded to Rick saying these things earlier, she still understands where he’s coming from and will be his advocate cuz she’s with him regardless.

Heath says that’s not how we do it but Michonne is like…

And she explains, “Because you never had to do it any other way. You haven’t been through it. Not really. Not like Rick. Rick was out there.” Sis plays no games in defending her man. Here for it. 🙌🏾

I love that she’s specifically defending Rick too. Like she knows what crazy things Rick has had to go through out there because she’s gone through so much of it right along side him.

So she adds, “I was out there. We know. You don’t. But if you don’t learn you will die. We will.”

Heath tries to explain how doing runs is somehow an equivalent but Michonne’s like “No, no let me tell you what I’m talking about, cuz it ain’t runs.” 😂

She interjects and asks, “Have you ever had to kill people cuz they already killed your friends and were coming for you next? Have you ever done things that made you feel afraid of yourself afterwards? Have you ever been covered in so much blood that you didn’t know if it was yours, or walkers, or your friends?” Ask the real questions, sis! 👏🏽👏🏽

These points she’s making are really valid and hearing her talk about doing things that make you feel afraid of yourself after, just really helped to make it clear that her and TF are human. Like even the baddest of the bunch, who do all these intense things, can feel afraid and surprised at what they’re capable of.

Heath is rendered speechless cuz he knows good and well that he hasn’t been through all that, so Michonne says, “Then you don’t know.” And then she walks away leaving this grown man shook. 

I love that Michonne lays down the whole law after Heath tried to come for Rick. And after this scene, Heath joined the list of people who got to learn the golden rule firsthand. 👌🏽

And, again, the golden rule is simple; When it comes to trying Rick in front of Michonne...

It’s significant that in an episode where Michonne talks with people about their relationships, we also see her be so passionate about defending her man. Cuz she and him will have a relationship of their own in just a few episodes. Amen.🙌🏾

Y’all, this all just goes to show the love was always there for them. It was just a matter of fully coming to terms with it. 😊

Later, there’s this moment with Michonne and David, and it’s beyond precious. 😭

It’s interesting that they really want Michonne around this storyline of love, with David handing her the note to give Betsy. And it is so sweet that she writes “You’re getting home” on her arm. ☺️

I didn’t remember her doing that the first time I watched this episode but, seeing it now, it’s so heartwarming and more proof that Michonne is someone who genuinely cares for people.

And then when they escape and have to get over that gate, Michonne even lets these men go before her since she’s more capable of holding her own. And when those walkers were grabbing her foot and keeping her from making it over the gate I was like “Look,TWD…

When all is said and done, only Michonne and two others make it back from the group. Which is low key not too surprising.

Before they cross the creek, Michonne looks at the note she wrote on her arm and wipes it off cuz unfortunately neither David or his note made it back.

And I feel like this all serves as a wake up call for Michonne that life’s too short to not be with the one you love. 

And then we see Michonne make it back safe to ASZ, just like her man wanted. 😊

I appreciate that this episode really showcased Michonne’s side of things, particularly in her journey of realizing Rick is the one. In hearing a love story similar to hers, and being such an advocate for Rick in this episode, it just really makes it clear that it’ll only be a matter of time before these two realized they’ve fallen for each other. 👌🏽😊

I am not a woman of my word, I tell ya what

So I started watching s6 after all. Well, parts of it...

Anyway I thought I’d just post my thoughts like I normally do for the rewatches. Although there are not many thoughts at all.

When I started watching, I was like wow. It’s good to not really feel invested in this at all because s6 is so pointless and also didn’t happen. But then Darren’s acting in That Scene blew me away, and Kurt’s breakdown in the bathroom- tears. Well not tears but something. ...A little something. 

I’m sure someone’s already made this meta connection but Kurt telling Rachel about how he was the only one who showed up to their spot reminded me of s3 when Kurt’s the one who convinces Blaine to go to glee practice and they meet up with Artcedes and everyone comes in after that and they’re all together. 

But also Artie is just... in film school, still. So he’s there. Ah well guess he didn’t feel like going out in the rain 

At one point Sue refers to Kurt as “Middlesex” which is, surprise, another jab at his gender presentation and sexuality. Oh and she says he smells like a nursing home. Just a fun little taste of the oh so hilarious insults to come :)

Although even Jane sounded tired of what she was saying. Her voice was just so calm and chill. Not the usual crazy rage of a Sue insult tornado 

Let It Go is actually a really good song for Rachel to sing at this point in her life. It’s very fitting. I mean I left the episode playing while I went to the bathroom, but it sounded really good from down the hall.

I love Mercedes’s verbal smack down of the Tea Party people. And Tina’s one line outburst. But the funniest part is still Sam running into Quinn and her laughing like that. Unscripted moments > scripted moments on this show any day

Speaking of which. You know how someone edited the cartoon Hunchback of Notre Dame movie to completely remove the gargoyles to make it less wAcKy? Anyway someone make an edit like that for Glee where you just take out all Brittany lines 

Anyway more importantly, Unholy Trinity hot. Me gay 

All of the songs in this one are so fun, and I love the new characters, and the fact that Kitty is back. Am I actually warming up to s6?? Weird... 

I love when Blaine gets angry. I mean people already demonize him for having any emotions or feelings in the first place so he might as well be angry. No one can do anything about it 

Homecoming has great new characters, amazing songs, even made me laugh a few times. Normally when I think s6, I think Santana’s awful rant, the crazy Klaine locker, Myron, Dalton fucking burning down for no reason??? But hey parts of it aren’t so bad. I’m making progress 

Anyway that’s Homecoming. On to Jagged Little Tapestry 

Klaine duet. Not my one of my favorites but it’s still Klaine so... one of my favorites. I love how soft Kurt looks in the flashback. Little Dalton bbs

I love how you can tell that some of those pictures on Blaine’s phone are Chris and not Kurt. Probably some bts pics, which I love, because one of my pet peeves is when they use promo pics/stills for actual photos lol

Santana proposes in the choir room and says it’s going to make all the single people upset lmao. Also she loves Brittany because they... don’t improve one another. Yeah it shows. God I fucking hate Brittana sorry not sorry 

God Santana literally reads as psychotic here. Kurt barely even said anything bad and she looks like the fucking Kill Bill sirens are going off ffs. I reeeally hate her this episode oh my god. It makes me hate all of s6 

Also can we please stop pretending like Brittany is a math genius. I’m over it. I’m tired. I’m tired of Brittany full stop. She’s the worst 

Tv writers have a straight guy and girl know each other for one minute and like make eye contact and expect viewers to be falling over themselves invested in this couple (Finchel) and I’m like ...yawn. But also Jane and Mason have one duet together and I’m like 💖💜💕💞💝🥰💖💜💕💞💝🥰💖

Sooo all in all of 6x01 I watched maybe... 15 minutes of it. Basically any scene with Kurt or Blaine in it (except them watching Rachel’s pilot, or the Warblers number) and also watched the Sam/Rachel stuff. Everything else? Fast the hell forward. 

6x02 I watched almost all of. Just skipped some Sue stuff. 

I was ready to only skip through That Scene in 6x03 but I remembered all that Becky crap so I skipped most of that. Probably ended up watching about half an hour all together, so the majority of the episode. I consider that a win. 

Overall, Homecoming is the only one I actually really loved. Gotta move it waaay up on my Glee ranking list lol

I think people have forgotten how bad S5 & S6 were. 5A was pretty good. It was well balanced but then the rails fell off in 5B. Barry/Iris/Nora was rarely shown as a family unit. Barry and Iris were frequently separated. If one had a story with Nora the other was off somewhere else. 5x10/5x14/5x16/5x17/5x18/5x21 all lacked true WA moments. Fandom joked WA divorced offscreen. S6 wasnt any better. 6x03/6x04/6x06/6x07 all lacked WA sincere moments. We got that nice ending WA scene in 6x10 then Iris went in the mirror. 6x11 was a "WA" ep then we don't get a real scene until 6x17. Followed by a drought until 7x02.

In hindsight S7 is following the blueprint S5 & S6 set. 7x04 was a WA ep. 7x05 (has WA material but zero scenes). 7x06 they were separated. 7x07 they had a couple of scenes. I do think we're seeing more of WA outside team flash/villain drams. I'm sure even more of that is coming

They did have two scenes in 7x05, lol. It’s just that they were about what was going on with the Forces, so I get they weren’t WESTALLEN scenes, in that sense, but technically, they did have scenes just the two of them in that episode.

Anyways, I agree re seasons 5 and 6 (I liked season 6 a lot more than season 5, mainly because of season 6B (most of season 6A was bad, honestly), but both seasons did not center Westallen). I actually think season 7 isn’t necessarily following the blueprint of seasons 5 and 6, in this regard, because the story is centering Westallen a lot more. Like this whole Forces arc, especially with SF Nora, centers Barry and Iris in a way that the Big Bads/overarching arcs in seasons 5 and 6 did not. So, in that sense it’s a lot more Westallen-centric than seasons 5 and 6, imo. And so I’m enjoying it a lot more than the previous two seasons. It’s still early, but season 7A is better than season 6A, and imo only 5x01-5x05 were good in season 5A (after that the season dropped off fast), although granted 5x01-5x05 was a stronger string of episodes than season 6A and season 7A thus far. Season 7A is more consistent, though, from what we’ve seen, because season 5A aired five episodes that ranged from excellent to very solid, but then dropped off fast very quickly. Additionally, I count 7x01-7x03 as part of season 7A, because anyways this Forces story-line literally directly stemmed from what happened in those episodes, plus those episodes were changed from what they would’ve been pre-pandemic.
