Dr. Rice ran other drone over what he believed was the abandoned base. Just to make sure that no one was left behind as he continued up the mountain, chasing after the kids. His screen beeped as the drone found a sign of life. Dr. Rice smirked as he picked up his radio.
“I need the last car to turn around,” he ordered. “Make sure you have a glass case. The X-Men, Ember, is back at their little hide out. Grab her and bring her to me.”
~~~
You woke up when one of the stairs creaked. Your senses were immediately on edge. Logan wasn’t lying with you and there were more slow and heavy footsteps than his. You peeked eye open to see black boots coming to surround you. Your heart began hammering in your chest. Where was Logan? Did they do something to him?
You heard the guns cock and you knew that they were going to try to take you. You weren’t about to let that happen. Before anyone could shoot, you formed a circle of fire around yourself, making sure the flames were taller than the men. They exclaimed as they stumbled back.
Your flames quickly ate the old wood floor, causing you and the men to go falling to the desert ground. You picked yourself up and blasted the men with more flames before running off. You noticed the military truck and ran over to it. It didn’t pass you that your body was already more tired than usual after using your mutation. But that wasn’t something you had time to deal with right now.
The radio was going off about the kids that were trying to get to the border and to stop them before they did. That’s when you knew where Logan had ran off to. He left you to go help the kids—to go help Laura. Though you were furious at him for leaving you, you were proud of him for rushing to save his daughter.
Before you could drive off to help the others, two darts hit your arm. You gasped as your eyes fluttered close and you collapsed against the seats. The remaining soldier limped over and grabbed the radio.
“Dr. Rice,” he called, “I’ve got Ember and I’m bringing her up.”
~~~
Laura didn’t know how to deal with saying goodbye to you and Logan. So she didn’t. Though, as her and the other children were running away from the soldiers through the woods, she wished she had. The soldiers attacked as they chased the children and the children used their mutations to retaliate. Rictor, the oldest and the leader, urged the children to keep running to the border. It was the only way to freedom.
As Laura ran, she noticed one of her friends being tackled by a soldier. She released her claws and screamed, jumping onto the soldier. The soldier rolled off the other child as Laura plunged her claws into him. The familiar sound of Logan yelling at her turning her head back in the direction they came. Up the hill came Logan, moving faster than he had in years. He roared as he unsheathed his claws and began taking out soldiers. The Wolverine spun and leaped like he did in battles years ago.
Logan continued to fight his way through the soldiers, eventually reaching a circle of them that had surrounded Laura. He yelled as he raced for the nearest soldier and began taking them out. Laura leapt into action, using her claws just as her father did. More soldiers came towards them, shooting.
“Get behind me!” Logan ordered. Laura moved behind him without question.
Bullets hit Logan as he charged forward, Laura only steps behind. He plunged his claws into the soldiers, quickly ending their lives. Laura ran up Logan’s back and jumped onto a soldier, willingly fighting alongside her father. After the group of soldiers were finished, Logan looked down at his bleeding woods with heaving breaths.
“You took all the medicine,” Laura stated upon realization. Logan was killing himself quicker to ensure her safety. Logan leaned forward as he gasped for more air, the pain coming back. “It’s wearing off.”
Logan ignored Laura as he took one of the guns and stumbled up the mountain to a clearing where the trucks had gathered and the captured children were circled up. Laura and him watched as another truck joined them. Logan’s heart stopped as the bed of the truck was opened and he caught sight of you.
“No,” he breathed out.
He had left you for your safety and so that you didn’t have to see him like this. But he had only failed you yet again. He clenched his jaw as he eyes searched the area, coming up with a plan.
“Go to your friends,” he told Laura. She made no immediate move to go, simply staring at him. “Go.” Laura began walking away. “Laura?” She paused, glancing back at Logan. “You’ll know when.”
Laura rushed off, heading around the trucks towards her friends. Logan coughed as he gathered his remaining strength and limped into the clearing.
“Nine o’clock!” A soldier announced. The soldiers aimed their weapons at Logan.
Donald Pierce, Dr. Rice’s right hand, laughed. “That green juice is wearing’ off, huh?” He taunted. “You know, for an old mute, it’s kind of a short high. Be hard to keep them claws out, soon.”
“Please stop, Mr. Howlett,” Dr. Rice requested as he came walking over. “I’m gonna have to tell these men to fire on these children. You don’t want that… Or on your wife.”
You gasped as you were harshly grabbed and dragged over to Dr. Rice’s side. Logan growled, fists clenched harder as he watched them move you around like a rag doll.
“She’s a special one… Rare,” Dr. Rice continued. “But I think you know that. Her regenerative phoenix mutation could be the next step in my research.” Logan coughed, growing weaker by the second. “You can see the effects of the serum are wearing off. You will not survive further wounds.” Dr. Rice stepped closer. “Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Zander Rice. I believe you knew my father on the Weapon X Program.”
“Yeah,” Logan coughed. “He’s one of the assholes who put this poison in me…” He lifted his claws up. “I think I might have killed him.”
“I think you’re right.”
“Why don’t you show some respect, mutie?” Donald teased. “You’re lookin’ at the man who wiped out your kind.”
“My friend Donald overstates. He makes it sound more brutal than intended. The goal was not to end mutant kind, but to control it. I realized we needn’t stop perfecting what we eat and drink. That we could use those products to perfect ourselves. To distribute gene therapy discreetly through everything from sweet drinks to breakfast cereals. And it worked. Random mutancy went the way of polio. We embarked on our next endeavor.”
“Growing mutants of your own,” Logan wheezed.
“Precisely.”
“Dangerous times, James,” Donald commented.
“You don’t get to call him that!” You shouted, earning you a hit to the face.
Logan lifted the hidden gun and shot Dr. Rice through the neck. He shot again, hitting Donald’s hand. You screamed out as you let your hands be covered in balls of flames. You began attacking with your flames as Laura jumped in and Logan chased after Donald. Donald ran over to one of the trucks and opened up the back of it.
“It’s show time, boy!” He exclaimed.
Logan’s duplicate leapt out and tackled Logan to the ground. The two began fighting as you continued to take care of the soldiers. Laura snuck around and got the soldiers on the edge while you took care of the ones in the middle. You stood there catching your breath when Logan’s duplicate plunged its claws into Logan and threw him against one of the trucks.
“Logan!” You screamed.
The copy rushed over to Logan, with Logan barely having enough time to use one of the broken truck doors as a shield. He stood up, using the door as a weapon, as you got back to taking out the soldiers. The duplicate roared as it gained more strength to fight. It kicked the door, sending Logan flying back. You ran up to the duplicate and began throwing fire at it. The copy moved through your flames like it wasn’t a problem. It went to strike you with its claws when Laura screamed and jumped onto it.
“Laura!” You shouted. “No!”
Donald grabbed a spear gun and shot it in your direction. It went through your leg, causing you to collapse with a scream.
“Y/N!” Logan groaned crawling your way.
Laura yelled as she landed on top of the duplicate and hit him with her claws over and over again. Logan made it over to you and cut the wire connecting you and the spear to the gun. He pulled you into him and grasped onto the spear.
“I got you, baby,” he wheezed. “It’s gonna hurt.” He yanked out the spear, causing you to cry out. He pressed a kiss to your head as you leaned further back into him.
Laura continued to fight off Logan’s duplicate as the children freed themselves and dealt with Donald and the remaining soldiers. The copy tossed Laura into a tree before Rictor used his powers to land one of the trucks on top of it.
“Go,” Logan coughed, pulling you up to stand. “Go, go, go!”
He pushed you and Laura towards the others near the tree line. You and Logan turned around as you heard creaking from the truck.
“Go!” Logan yelled, pushing you away.
The copy leapt over the truck and buried its claws into Logan. The children began rushing towards the woods again, with you and Laura staying put.
“No!” You screamed.
“Go!” Logan shouted, blood coating his mouth. “Run!”
Keeping its claws inside of Logan, the duplicate dragged Logan away. You rushed forward to do something, but the duplicate easily hit you away, causing you to fall back to the ground.
“Run!” Logan repeated, his voice pleading with you to go as he was dragged away. “Go, sweetheart!”
The duplicate threw Logan onto a tree, causing him to be impaled by one of the branches.
“JAMES!” You screamed.
Your emotions took control of your powers and a large flames sparked from you and rushed over to Logan and his duplicate. The copy was engulfed by the flames, causing him to stumble back. The flames grew hotter as you stood up, your finger-tips flaming. With a subtle move of your fingers, the duplicate was turned to ash and the fire disappeared. You fell to your knees, gasping as that had quickly drained your energy. Laura raced over to your side, helping you up and over to Logan.
“No, no, no,” you cried as you collapsed next to him. Tears fell freely down your cheeks as your hands hovered over his body.
Laura went on Logan’s other side and used her claws to cut the branch that was impaling Logan, allowing him to slide to the ground. Your hands trembled as you reached out and steadied him while Laura knelt down and began crying too.
“Take Laura,” he gasped. “Take Laura… and her friends… and hide.”
“No,” you shook your head. “I—I can’t. Not without you.”
“They’ll keep coming, sweetheart. You have to.”
“No… James…”
His hand weakly moved and you quickly grabbed onto it. “I’m sorry… I’m so sorry… I wish I could have done better… for you…”
“Stop that. You were perfectly enough… everything I needed and more… I love you, James, so much.”
“I… I love you forever, sweetheart… Forever… Listen,” Laura grabbed Logan’s other hand as he tried to hold hers, “take care of each other… you… you don’t have to fight anymore… Either of you… Go… Don’t be what they made you… Y/N… Laura…”
“Daddy,” Laura cried.
“Ah,” Logan smiled, bloody and broken, “so… this is what it feels… like….”
A sob tore through you as Logan took his final breath.
“No! No!” Laura cried. “Daddy! Daddy!”
You fell forward, not caring about his blood as you clung to him as if it would fix everything. The children came back into as you sobbed into your husband’s dead body. Laura reached over Logan to grab onto you as she mirrored your actions.
~~~
In all your long life, you had never fell a heartbreak like this. It was raw and desperate, clawing at you as it threatened to drag you down into the pit of darkness. Laura was clutching your hand as you stared at the spot where Logan’s body now lay. It was killing you inside.
The Wolverine was dead and buried in a soon to be forgotten spot in the woods. He deserved better. Especially as he was your husband, you believed he deserved the world, even in death. The pile of rocks and the stick cross did not do enough to honor the man you loved. Your everything. Your hero.
Laura’s hand gripped yours tighter as tears slipped down her cheeks and you held back another sob. You knew you needed to continue on with Laura, it’s what Logan wanted. But you didn’t know if you could do that. You didn’t know if you could leave his body here alone while you went on to live the rest of your life. You didn’t even know if you could live the rest of your life without him. This would be different than any other time before. This was permanent.
“Let’s go,” Rictor said. “We gotta move.”
The children turned away and began to walk off. Laura moved forward slowly, leading for you to follow. She let your hand go and grabbed the stick cross. She knelt down and turned in over to be an ‘x’. You inhaled sharply at the significance of it. Laura stood up and looked at you for a sign of anything. You nodded as more tears slipped down your cheeks. You reached for her hand again, giving the grave one last glance before you and Laura headed for the border.
Scrubber
Your actions on the field are a product of your childhood idol
Barça Femení x teen!reader
pt. 2 masterlist
Warnings: reader suffers from the scrubber trait. 🥹
A/N: #yanited (not proofread as always x)
It was the last few minutes of the semi-final against Chelsea. If you kept the clean sheet at Stamford Bridge, you were sure to win it. If you didn’t… well, Fridolina tried explaining to you that you’d still win, but you weren’t willing to see for yourself.
“(Y/N), watch the wing!” yelled Mapi, who pointed to the flank. Lucy had overlapped and when the possession switched, you were left to take on Macario.
You glanced in the direction of the left wing, feeling slightly — no, very scared to go against Macario… on your own.
You could tell just by looking at her for a split second that Mapi was a bit worried for you too, and if she could deal with Macario she would, but unfortunately you were closer.
Nevertheless, you ran towards her side-on, trying to anticipate her next move. You knew what Mapi would say; hold her off until Lucy’s back in position, just delay her.
At the same time, you knew what Nemanja Vidić would do, and that is knock the living daylights out of her with a slide tackle. Guess what path you decided to take?
You sent yourself flying feet first towards the ball. As you slid across the grass, pushing the ball out of play. The last thing you saw before getting to your feet again was the distraught expression of Macario as she tumbled over your body, seemingly going headfirst towards the ground.
You could barely hear the groan she let out, because soon you were stood up and Mapi was at your side, patting you on the back for your tackle. Lucy ran to retrieve a ball and quickly toss it in to resume the play.
You hadn’t even registered your tackle until the side of your thigh started to hurt a little. A short glance beyond your shorts helped you discover that it was a bit red, but the tackle was worth any bruise that was sure to form in its place.
The game only started to pick up again when the red card was shown to Buchanan. Holding down the back line when the through balls and dribbles kept coming felt like a real Vidić-esque thing to do.
If it wasn’t already super obvious, Nemanja Vidić was your idol. You bled blaugrana in every shape and form, but that didn’t stop you from taking inspiration from the former Manchester United defender. If you hadn’t been a lifelong Barcelona fan, you would’ve trialed for the Manchester United academy and played for them just to say you played at your idol’s former club. You always had a pen and paper on hand in case you happened to come across him, and if that ever did happen you’d immediately get it tattooed (legal or not, you’d find a way).
The team found your love for Vidić very endearing. It was obvious that you admired his fearlessness because of how you tried to imitate it on the field by putting your body on the line, and Lucy loved that; she called you a ‘little brick wall’. Irene was a more solid defender than you, though. Your tactic was to just throw yourself at the ball whenever you were in doubt. She actually had tactics.
So, when Lauren James was at the edge of the box, winding her leg up to take a shot, you couldn’t find the time to think before flying in, cutting her out. You were smart enough to face the other way, and the ball deflected off your back instead of your face.
“¡Así es!” Ona yelled from the other side of the pitch, running into the box to defend further until Lucy cleared it down the wing.
The match ended with the scoreline being 2-0 to Barcelona. Everyone said your tackles were the defining factor that kept it that way, but you thought it was all thanks to Aitana, Frido and Cata. Regardless of who did what, you were happy your team were into the finals. You were happy you did something to keep them up on aggregate.
You ditched the celebrations a bit early to go sit down in the locker room and get your daily logins on Hay Day. The adrenaline wore off almost immediately after you sat on the bench, and your attention was brought to the minor grazes and bruises scattered along your legs. You felt one on your abdomen and somehow, you had a scratch on your shoulder.
You were glad. Vidić would never come out of a big match like that unscathed. You did your idol proud on the field, or so you hoped at least.
Most people often asked why you wanted to be a defender and subject yourself to the most physical parts of the game. Truth be told, you just really loved denying people of a goal. Lucy said you ‘played for the badge’ and despite not knowing what that meant, you hoped it was good.
You were also really bad at aiming and every time you cleared the ball or made a pass up field, you hoped and prayed it would at least go straight. You could never be a goal scorer like Caro or Aitana or Mariona.
“(Y/N),” a voice called out. You looked up from your phone to see Lucy. “Why aren’t you out celebrating?”
“I almost missed my Hay Day login. Have to do that before anything,” you replied. Lucy laughed, walking closer and sitting down on the bench beside you.
She put an arm around your shoulder, the way she always did. It felt older sister-y, and you liked that. “You really know how to tidy up back there,” she remarked. You smiled slightly, your cheeks burning up. Lucy was an insane defender so her praise meant the world to you. “Thanks, Luce.”
“They’re looking for you to give you the Player of the Match trophy, but you ran away too fast,” Lucy laughed, and your eyes bulged out of your skull.
“What about Aitana? She was the one that scored.”
“And you’re the one that kept out almost their entire team. You deserve this!” Lucy added, shaking you. You were a bit confused because you didn’t think your tackles were that vital, but you were proved wrong.
“Okay, okay. I’ll go out in a bit, after I put my slides on,” you responded. The woman smiled and gave you a tight side hug.
“Nemanja would be proud, scrubber. Good job today,” Lucy added while she stood up and began to walk away. Your face couldn’t help but form a smile of its own.
“But, don’t start slide tackling in every game. The last thing we need is for you to get hurt trying to wipe someone out with a Brexit,” she said sternly, suddenly turning around with a finger pointed at the plotting expression on your face. You raised your hands in defense.
By Your Side
Spencer Reid x Daughter!Reader
Summary: The team has a get-together but you refused to move away from your dad the whole night.
———
The team was having another one of their get-togethers, a break from the usual brutal cases and endless case files. Spencer had taken you with him obviously, JJ had taken Henry and Hotch had Jack with him.
Henry and Jack were playing with each other, taking food off the tables and running around. You didn’t want to stray too far from Spencer, opting to stay right next to him, you weren’t into the whole play fighting Henry and Jack were doing at the moment anyway.
Spencer knelt down to your level, watching your tiny hands fiddle with your little top. “Hey, sweetheart. Don’t you wanna go play with Jack and Henry?”
You shook your head quickly, holding onto Spencer tightly. “No, stay with Daddy.”
Spencer had a feeling that you didn’t want to get involved in whatever rough games Henry and Jack had decided to play and maybe some separation anxiety. You weren’t the most extroverted toddler, usually staying right beside Spencer and not talking, but you did enjoy playing with Jack and Henry. That was when they weren’t trying to tackle each other to the ground.
Spencer nodded softly and smiled, picking you up and holding you in his arms. “That’s alright, you can stay with me.”
You stayed in Spencer’s arms most of the night, listening as he talked with the team and rambled on about whatever statistics were passing his head. When it came to dinner time, Spencer had helped fix up a plate with some food for you before he got his own. However, that did mean you had to sit at the kid's table to eat and you were not happy about that.
“No! Eat with Daddy!” You cried and tried to run back over to Spencer who was getting his food sorted. He had put you in the little plastic chairs next to Henry and Jack to eat your food.
“Y/N, sweetheart, it’s only while you eat your food and then you can come right back to me. I swear, honey.” Spencer said gently, taking your tiny hand and bringing you back over to the table.
You tried to resist but you were still just a little toddler and you weren’t stronger than Spencer. He didn't want to hurt you so when you started tugging away from his hand, he picked you up and placed you on the chair. You couldn’t do anything other than sit there and cry.
Henry noticed you weren’t eating your food so he quickly pinched some off your plate and onto his own with a smile. JJ, who was keeping an ear on the conversation at the table with the team while also keeping an eye on the kid's table, noticed Henry’s little food-stealing act.
“Uhm, excuse me. We don’t steal people’s food, Henry. That’s Y/N’s dinner, not yours. Put it back please.” JJ said gently but also with a firm tone.
Henry sighed and gave you the food back with a long huff. You didn’t actually care that he stole your food, you were too upset to even eat.
“Daddy!” You cried loudly, looking at Spencer at the team table. You just wanted him, you didn’t want to eat your dinner and you certainly didn’t want to watch Jack and Henry shove food in their mouths with their unsanitary hands.
Spencer eventually caved, he couldn’t bear to hear your desperate cries for him anymore. He quickly scooped you up from the kid's table and sat you on his lap, grabbing your plate of food as well. “You’re alright, sweet girl. You’re okay. Daddy’s got you and we’ll eat together, okay?”
You started to calm down once you were back in Spencer’s arms, you nodded slowly and sniffled. You slowly but surely ate your dinner which was a win since you were usually very picky.
Spencer smiled and kissed the top of your head. “You did a good job eating! I’m so proud of you, you nearly finished your whole plate!”
The rest of the night was just the team chatting and discussing things together while two crazy preschoolers were throwing themselves around the bullpen. You fell asleep on Spencer’s shoulder before the clock even hit 9 at night, you were spent but content now that Spencer was back holding you. He’d always try to be by your side.
Filthy Clean
cw: You and Levi have a clean rivalry lmaoo. levi x f! reader, smut, 18+, shower sex, fingering, face slapping, slight cum play, mild dubcon, praise kink, cum swallowing, creampie. I HATE posting fics on tumblr with a passionnnn but I thought you guys would enjoy this one. I posted this to ao3 a while ago but I'm still in my levi era lmaoo. wc 6.9k.
Men were disgusting.
The dirt the younger cadets trudged into the barracks and lounging areas did not discriminate, but the filth the male cadets managed to accumulate was truly unmatched. Beds unmade, toilets unflushed, and had none of them heard of a fucking coaster?
Or a napkin?
You leaned farther so your swiping hand might reach the table’s full breadth. You wiped in wide, angry circles. You’d be here for ages trying to get the grime off the table, gathering the courage needed to tackle the bathrooms.
“Ugh.” Your washcloth came across something unidentifiably sticky. “Fucking gross …”
So consumed were you with your task you did not see the hand come to meet yours until it was too late, and your pinkies met.
You blinked.
“Oi.”
You looked up to see a dark-haired man fixing you with a glare, the majority of his face obscured by a handkerchief.
“What are you doing?”
You frowned. “Cleaning this table.”
The man straightened. “Well” — he snatched your washcloth from your grasp — “you’re doing a shitty job.”
“Hey!”
“Just let me do it.”
“It’s my job.”
“Hah?” A brow raised in question your way. “Someone’s paying you to do such a shitty job?”
“I’m not!” You were truly flustered now. “I’m doing as good of a job as I can with how filthy people are here!”
“Tch.” The man’s sharp eyes cast down to the table. “That we can agree on.”
“And” — you grabbed your cloth — “you shouldn’t take what isn’t yours.”
You ignored the heat of the man’s appraisal. He can stare at my ass all he likes. You hummed. “Who are you anyway?” You asked, layering the wooden table with more solution.
His eyes widened. “How do you not …?”
“I don’t keep tabs on everybody in this infernal regiment.” You scrubbed angrily at the sticky table — was it fucking gum or something? “So, I wouldn’t know if you were famous.”
You looked up in time to see the man undo his handkerchief to reveal —
You froze.
Levi. Ackerman.
The Levi Ackerman.
Captain Levi Ackerman.
… Fuck.
“Oh my god …” You straightened, suddenly feeling foolish with the supplies in your hands. “Captain …”
“How the hell do you not know who I am?”
“You —“ You stammered. What should you do? Should you put down the cloth? Should you leave? Fuckfuckfuck. “I — You had that …” You gestured to the handkerchief. “That thing on your face!”
“The handkerchief doesn’t cover up my voice.”
You gobbed like a fish, face flushed from embarrassment. “I —“
“Tch, it’s fine,” he waved you off. “Just let me tackle this room — or stay; you might learn something.”
The humiliation was almost too much. Almost.
“Sir.” You cleared your throat, arm akimbo. “I’m very sure I know what I’m doing.”
Another inquisitive eyebrow. “That so?”
You recognized the challenge in his voice and stretched the cloth — flack — with a tilt of your head. “Yeah,” You said, the edge of your mouth twitching to add, “sir.”
Levi straightened himself again to his full height (which wasn’t much) and took three intimidating steps toward you. You stood your ground as he reared on you, looking you dead in the eye:
“We’ll see about that.”
After that, you were sure you’d be fired.
You’d been fired by (figuratively) smaller men for far less. The others cleaning girls were in a tizzy that, somehow, you had squared off with Humanity’s Strongest and were ravenous for developments as soon as you had something to tell. You weren’t sure you’d last that long. Surely you’d be getting canned any moment now.
But instead something far more bizarre was happening: it seemed you were now in a cleaning war with the squad captain of the Special Operations Squad.
Everywhere you went, the work was already done. Walls scrubbed. Floorboards wiped. Curtains dusted. Limestone’s ass kicked. Even the heinous bathrooms had been tackled by a brave, meticulous set of hands — and you had an inkling those hands were calloused and attached to a pipsqueak.
Your suspicions were only confirmed when a tale of the captain scrubbing one of the barracks had reached you. Apparently, Levi’d done a stunning job — until he noticed a fucking boot print on his flawless floor. All the trembling cadets were rounded up to find a boot match like a scene from some fairy tale, and eventually the print was proven to belong to none other than Eren Jaeger.
Why was it always fucking Eren Jeager.
By the end of the second week of this cleanathon, you were sprinting to the currently unused dining hall, slamming the doors opened:
Tables glistened, floors polished … You turned your head to the windows … windows you could use as fucking mirrors —
“Son of a bitch!” You shot arms to your sides before storming out, two cadets making way for you.
Sunday evening, the horse stables were all you had left; you shuffled hay and tended to the equine beauties as best you could, spurred on now by a newfound enthusiasm for your job. By sundown, the hay was stacked, the floors were wiped, the cedar like brand new.
“Ha! Could be someone’s living quarters.” You turned, satisfied, to the horses with hands at your hips. “Not too shabby, huh?”
One of them huffed at you, blowing hair from your face.
“You must be his,” You scoffed before exiting the stables.
You were proud, but you were tired. The showers were empty by the time you stepped into one to use, pleasantly ignoring the suspicious sheen with which everything glistened as you wheeled the knob to hot. You sighed as water fit to rival hellfire rained down on your aching muscles. You lathered and rinsed, fit to remove the day’s grime.
Another labored sigh. Finally, some time to —
The door burst open. You shrieked, spun, covering yourself.
“Get out —!”
“Relax.” Levi, of all people, stepped into view. “It’s just me.”
“My order still stands! Get outwhatthehellareyoudoing —“
“I give the orders.”
Realizing he wouldn’t leave, you scoffed, spinning back toward the shower head. “Can’t believe this,” you murmured. “I can’t wait to report this and let everyone know the captain is a perv —“
“I said relax,” Levi said, not a step out of place (beyond the obvious). “I won’t do anything.”
“Oh, what a comfort …”
“… You did a good job today.”
You blinked, forearms still crisscrossed over your chest. Was that a compliment? You tilted your head, as disturbed as you were intrigued. “Come again?”
“You do have some skills when it comes to cleaning, I’ll give you that,” Levi droned from behind. “Peroxide with a hint of lemon? Definitely more than a rookie.”
Fuck. Even his compliments were nestled in insults. “And this couldn’t wait until after I took a shower?”
Soft rustling; you could only imagine him crossing his arms, staring at your naked back. “I wanna to see if you keep it up.”
What did that mean? You looked down at the nest of suds cradled in your cleavage. And you understood: he wanted to watch you clean yourself.
“You’re a weirdo.” You shook your head. But, understanding he wouldn’t leave, hardened yourself to this new challenge. You wouldn’t be intimidated. You carried on as though no one were watching, finishing what you had started.
“You’re doing it wrong,” he spoke up as you bent down to lather a leg.
“Shut —“ You froze, sucking your lips into your mouth. “Sir …” You couldn’t abuse him … he was still a captain … Why did that matter he was fucking watching you take a shower —
“Tch.” There was that odd sound from him again, but was it just you or was it now tinged with amusement. “Think we’re beyond formalities now, don’t you think?”
You didn’t answer. Your face grew hot as you rose to full height, allowing the shower water to wash the accumulated suds away. You didn’t know what you thought; you were mildly dizzy, the heat and situation doing something to you. Why were you letting this happen, letting a man watch you shower?
… Why were you liking it?
You were about to turn and face Levi to get out when he clicked his teeth:
“Fine, I’ll do it myself.”
You saw Levi grasp your shoulder. You gasped, nearly slipping as you turned, at last, to face him.
“Wait,” You said as your back hit the wall.
But he was there, fully clothed, the shower water getting his hair and uniform wet.
“You’re …” You watched him get drenched. “You’re all wet now.”
Levi’s eyes flickered to yours. “So are you.”
Your lips parted but no words came. Dark strands clung to his face now, and you refused to admit how good he looked. His hands were on you — hands much softer than they should’ve been. He swiped the washcloth from you, threw it away. Levi took the soap from you and treated your skin to a thorough lathering with his bare hands. Calloused hands that should’ve been rough and harsh caressed your neck.
“People always forget their neck,” Levi murmured.
Lines of foam ran down the valley of your breasts, to your stomach. Suds nestled in your belly button as Levi’s hands came to your sides and tugged, motioning for you to turn over.
You made to protest — didn’t. Wordlessly, you turned around for him. His hands cleansed you of the sweat accumulated in your crevices. He massaged into your back, caressed the tension from your shoulders. Levi’s thumb dipped in the small of your back and you suppressed a sound, whatever it had turned into unknown to you and him both. Your trembling hands pressed to the wall when you sensed him bend forward to knead into the skin of your thigh. You squirmed, biting your lip at the moan his meticulous hands fought to elicit. Levi’s hand reached forward and grazed the pert skin of your nipple. At an honest to god moan you couldn’t repress, Levi paused.
“I …” You kept still under his gaze.
It was a relief when seconds later Levi resumed his ministrations.
“Want you fucking spotless,” he said, and you believed him. His hands worked in tandem with the hot water to cleanse you. Levi worked your breasts, cupping them from behind, offering them to the water to be dowsed of suds. Fingers you knew were purposeful grazed at your excited nubs in the process. A hand, once gripped firm at your waist, breached the gap of your legs, a finger sliding over the slit of your vulva.
You gasped through the moan. “I — I thought you said you wouldn’t do anything.”
“That was before I saw how lackluster your methods were.”
“My meth —“ You bit your lip as Levi’s finger grazed your clit. “I — I hardly see how this is supposed to help me get clean, captain.”
At the title, Levi groaned in your ear, lips brushing against your shoulder.
You ignored the thrum of pleasure in your cunt. “Why would I need to be — ah — clean from the inside?”
“Quiet.” His finger threatened to slip into your moist entrance, your natural slick assisting in this endeavor. “If you knew what you were doing, you wouldn’t be asking that.”
“I don’t think —“
“If you had a problem, you wouldn’t be fucking drenched, either.”
“Ah …” Your forehead thudded against the wall, your skin hot. Everything hot. You couldn’t argue; even the shower water couldn’t wash away evidence of your want.
“And now you’re gonna make an even bigger fucking mess, aren’t you?”
Despite the haranguing, Levi only pressed closer, the fabric of his jacket adding friction to your damp skin. His finger teased the ring of your entrance, teasing, daring.
You moaned when Levi abandoned your hole to concentrate on teasing your clit. He tended to it with the slightest touch, so removed you began to think his touch only imagined.
“I — I’m too achy to —“
“Do you ever shut up?” Levi snapped. “I’ve already told you.” His lips were at your ear now, his chin sitting in the crook of your neck. “Not asking for you to reciprocate. Just let me do it …”
You gripped Levi’s forearms as his finger slipped past the ring of your entrance with shameful ease. You bent forward, squeezing your legs around his hand. Your lips parted with a shuddering moan when his fingertips brushed the roof of your g-spot growing ever jagged.
“Didn’t think it would be this easy,” he spoke into your ear. “Just letting me in, hm? Fucking freak …”
You looked over your shoulder to Levi already staring at you. You did not need this. You did not need Levi, wet and close and hair dangling in his gorgeous face, mocking you.
Another finger slid in to meet the first. You clawed at the shower wall, growing feral.
Levi withdrew them.
“Wait,” You murmured. “What?”
His brows furrowed. “Do you want this?”
You scoffed. “Really?”
He studied your face. “Wanted to be sure,” he murmured, his arms caging you in.
You turned to face him. You pressed into him, your forehead meeting his. After all this, now he asked? But a part of you was endeared by his asking. Despite his foul mouth and gruff disposition, you didn’t fear him.
You found his hand and guided it back to your wanting cunt. “Yes.”
Not needing to be told twice, Levi hand roped to your neck and pulled you in for a kiss. You weren’t caught by surprise; you opened your mouth for him to explore while his two fingers returned to their mission of exploring you. His groan caught in your mouth and went straight to your cunt, inciting a new layer of slick to coat Levi’s fingers.
“Thought so,” he muttered into your mouth. He abandoned your mouth just as he invited a third finger into your weeping hole, his lips traversing the length of your jaw.
You were a moaning, sobbing mess, grinding against his fingers. You couldn’t take all this stroking, probing, stretching. The shower water pebbled your skin, the incessant dribble sensitizing your heated skin. Levi was driving his fingers into you now, assaulting the tender spot within to drive you feral. You entwined a leg around his with a whimper, your head falling against the wall to widen the expanse of skin Levi’s lips could torment. His thumb tweaked randomly at your clit, the uncertainty of when he would reward the nub with attention only driving you further toward the edge of the cliff. He nibbled, bit into your neck and you all but jumped into his arms, all dignity forgotten.
“Go ahead,” he said when you squeezed his digits, your breathing heavy on his shoulder, “bet you look pretty when you come.”
His voice, as though your climax was the most predictable thing in the world, sent you over the edge. With an onset of broken moans you came, nearly ripping the arms from Levi’s jacket as he finger-fucked you through your orgasm. You drenched his fingers, saw through vision bleared by water and steam and drowse, how they had turned pruney playing in your snatch once Levi at last pulled them out of you. He held you up with a hand, your legs turned boneless and useless under your lasting throes.
Levi inspected his fingers as you caught your breath. He bent down to retrieve your abandoned washcloth and wiped his fingers clean.
“Levi …” You murmured as he did it, your senses returning slowly but surely. “What …?”
He turned back to you, fixing your back against the wall again as he captured your mouth in another kiss, not as rough as the first, but affirmative. A statement. He withdrew and you, eyes closed, followed him until you realized he was truly through with the kiss and opened your eyes.
He wiggled his fingers, almost to taunt you. “I was right,” he said, a flicker of a smirk there. “Fucking pretty.”
You’d lost all control over your life.
Afterwards, you often found yourself frequenting the same spaces with Levi, places you were meant to be cleaning but would end up as sanctuaries so Levi might fuck you into oblivion inside them.
More than once you’d cried out as he crashed you into the wall, arms wrapped around each other, passion overcoming dull reason always.
“Levi!”
“Keep it down!” he would hiss in your ear before nibbling the lobe attached. “Want the whole headquarters to hear us fucking?”
And then you would clean. Thoroughly. Meticulously. There were never any traces of your sudden trysts, you both made sure of that.
What was happening? You weren’t sure. It wasn’t as if you were suddenly the captain’s girlfriend or something. Right?
Right?
… Right?
“Are you the captain’s girlfriend?”
You startled away from Potato Girl, who had somehow materialized by your side, nearly falling off the step you sat on in the process.
“Sasha!” Jean Kirstein reprimanded. He graced you with an apologetic look. “I’m sorry about her.” To Sasha: “You can’t just sneak up on people you don’t know and ask them —“
“But it’s clear something’s going on, isn’t it?” Sasha said. “I heard Mike say the other day that —!”
“No!” You cried. Do these fuckers do anything but gossip? You were reminded of your grandmother, who had once said the military was nothing but death and gossip. “No, you — you don’t understand. The captain and I — we’re just friends. We like cleaning, that’s all.”
Jean’s blush belied his nod toward you. “You don’t have to explain anything.”
“Aw, c’mon!” Sasha said. “Captain Levi would fall head over heels for a girl who can clean as well as you!”
Jean ran a hand over his face. “Sasha …” Exasperation made his voice heavy.
“It’s okay,” You assured him before turning to Sasha with a smile, your voice fit for addressing a child when you said, “The truth is, I don’t know why Captain Levi’s taken such a liking to me. I’m just happy to make him proud. But I promise: nothing untoward has ever occurred between the captain and myself.”
How well you could lie through your teeth. Should you be proud or ashamed? Untoward … Levi’s fingers sank into your cunt; his cockhead twitching on your cervix; a mouth full of —
Boy, could you lie.
Sasha scrutinized your face. Seemingly satisfied, she said, with a disappointed dip in her voice, “All right. But tell us if that changes! We want the best for the captain and only want him to be happy!”
Strangely heartwarmed by her comment, you nodded to the both of them. “You got it!”
And you’d thought that would be the end of it, but it wasn’t; you were doomed to have a couple more run-ins with members of the Special Operations: a few cadets once eyed you surreptitiously in the hallway. And on the last day of the week while on your way to dust the shelves of the library, a little blonde boy caught sight of you and promptly scurried away, a book tucked in his armpit, leaving the library hilariously bare.
“Oh, come on!” You said, the lack of people affording you moxy. “If I was really fucking a captain, don’t you think I’d have gotten a raise by now? Hello?!”
“You wanted to see me, Commander?”
Levi shut the door. The moment Levi walked into the Commander’s office, he knew what he was in for. Erwin wasn’t alone; Hange was ready to bounce off the walls. Mike looked like he was suppressing some laughs. Levi let himself in; eyes made of ice appraised his every step.
“Have a seat, Levi,” was all Erwin said, and once he did the man knitted his fingers together. “I’ve heard rumors.”
“Tch, didn’t think you were the type to listen to shitty gossip.”
“More than rumors, I would say.”
Levi raised his brows to encourage elaboration.
“There have been complaints.”
“Of?”
“You and some cleaning girl hooking up!” Hange cried out — happily.
Without a beat, Levi tilted his head: “What?”
“There has been a shortage in cleaning supplies,” Erwin said. “Some cadets have complained about headaches. Some have reported breathing issues. Some have fainted.”
Levi glared. “They’re allergic to everything except filth, then?”
“I’m told chemicals from the cleaning solutions are the cause,” Erwin continued, leafing through what could only be reports from this very issue.
“The morons can always open a fucking window.”
“Still, there’s such a thing as too clean, Levi,” Erwin said. “Some have begun to speculate why there’s been such an uptick in cleanliness. It seems … suspicious.”
“Tch.”
Erwin’s eyes flicked upward expectantly. “I’ve not heard you deny anything.”
“There’s nothing to deny.” Levi crossed his legs. “I help her clean when I have the time, that’s it.”
Hange squealed. “Oh, this is fascinating —!”
“ — You’d think so,” Levi shifted his glare toward her.
“A friendship forged from alcohol!” Hange chirped. “I’m such a fool; I should’ve predicted something like this would happen!”
“Nothing’s happened, you fucking weirdo,” Levi said.
Mike had failed to comment thus far, sticking to his corner of the room, but his shoulders rumbled with hushed laughs. Fucking prick.
“Hm?” Hange stood. “Oh really? Tell me, then: If you’re just cleaning, why are there reports of moving furniture?”
“We have to move furniture to get to spots people forget to clean, moron,” Levi said pointedly, crossing arms now. “If these idiots spent as much time training as they did gossiping, fewer of them would be eaten every expedition.”
“Nevertheless, we can’t have you and this girl making hazardous gases in your attempts to clean headquarters,” Erwin said. “Be more discriminate with how you use your supplies. I don’t want to hear any more complaints about this, am I understood?”
A curt nod from Levi.
A snort from Mike. “I bet she’s cute.”
“I bet you’d look better without a nose, Mike,” Levi said, standing. “And, Commander, I think you should address some of the rumors concerning yourself.”
It was Erwin’s turn to raise his fatass eyebrows. “Pardon?”
“I don’t know.” Levi was already striding toward the door. “Something about you and some nurse.” He turned back to Erwin, hand on the knob. “Can’t be true, can it?”
Hange gasped. Mike choked. Erwin himself, surprising no one, moved not an inch, only dug knives into Levi’s disappearing back as he considered himself excused and shut the door behind him.
He wouldn’t give in. He couldn’t lose his cleaning fuck buddy. Not now. Not ever. No one had understood his desire to eradicate filth as well as you.
He would just have to have a little conversation with you.
“You make too much noise.”
Hardly the statement you were looking forward to. Where was you feel so good? Your precious good girl?
You broke the kiss, subtracting your tongue from inside Levi’s mouth, to stare at him crookedly.
“Come again?”
“S’you,” Levi said, the flush coloring his face as conspicuous as day. “People are talking around these shitty barracks. We’ll have to cool it if you can’t keep your fucking mouth shut.”
You snorted while resuming your task: unbuttoning Levi’s shirt. You dipped forward to snatch one button between your teeth where it waited to be chewed off. You broke away to nibble at the skin beyond it once it snapped open. “Shut me up then.”
“Fuck …” Levi said in response to your slutty hips swinging into his, your teeth leaving love bites over his protruding collar. “Do you have to make everything so difficult?”
“This is your fault, you know?” You ground your hips into Levi’s obvious erection and was promptly rewarded with a delicious groan. His hand came around to grip the fat of your ass. You licked a wet strip onto his neck before nibbling the skin there. “If you didn’t” — another swing of your hips, another groan from Levi — “fuck me so good, my volume wouldn’t be such a problem.”
“Not apologizing.”
You leveled your face with his. “Then we’re at an impasse.” And you kissed him, slotting your tongue back into place above his.
Levi stole air from your mouth when your hand slotted between the two of you, found the heavy imprint of his cock and gave it a firm squeeze. Levi pressed you closer to him, a firm grip on your ass. He swiped up at your tongue before nibbling on your lower lip and repeating the action with its twin.
“You really want your slutty mouth exposing us to the world?” Levi grumbled, no doubt begrudgingly aware of how his cock twitched in your hold.
“I really don’t care,” You said. “But I guess I don’t have as much to lose, right, Captain?”
He jerked you away by the back of your head, hand fisted in your hair. “You’re out of line.”
A grumble in his throat at the sight of your tongue running over your lip.
“Says the man who walked in on me showering.”
Levi’s eyes narrowed, as if to say touche.
“Maybe you’re right.” He met your eye, fixing his face neutral. “Maybe I need to shut you up.”
“Oh.” You wiggled your brows. “Levi.”
“On your knees.”
You giggled — stifled it when Levi tapped your cheek with barely any force but enough to threaten a harder hand in the future.
“Don’t make me repeat myself, brat.”
And so you sank, remaining eye contact as you sat on your knees and fiddled with the buckle of Levi’s pants. You freed his cock, was rewarded with a soft grunt from him — and one slightly louder when you fed his cock into your mouth, wiggling your eyebrows at him again.
“Even with your mouth stuffed with my cock, you’re still giving me attitude?” Levi huffed, but there was no bite to it.
The edge of your mouth quirked before focusing on your task. You gave Levi a hard, fruitful suck before releasing him with a loud, wet pop! to run the flat of your tongue down the underside of his cock. From base to tip. Base to tip. You swallowed him again, hollowing your cheeks to work his cock. Excitement flushed your cunt as Levi’s grunts filled the air, and your fingers itched to sneak down and play with your juicing folds.
A groan from Levi. An encouraging hand met the back of your head. “Fuck, good, little brat …” His hanging his head back sent your cunt clenching at nothing.
You released him, curled stroking fingers around his shaft. “Who’s the loud one now?” You teased with a smirk —
You gasped when Levi’s hand swatted your cheek. Harder than before. A tepid warning.
“Finish what you started.”
You opened your mouth to get smart with him, only for the hand straddling the back of your head to pull you forward; Levi’s cock tumbled back into your mouth.
Your eyes fluttered closed. Your hands stroked the end of his shaft, pubic hair tickling your pinkie, as your mouth lay preoccupied with the rest. Levi’s sounds impelled you to move faster. You didn’t care about the aching pain in your jaw or your screaming knees on the wooden floor. You sucked for those sounds, for the power you held over him in that moment.
“This is a better look for you anyway,” Levi said — hissed as one hand came to cling to his naked thighs, the other thumbing at his ball sack. “Fuck, clean my cock, brat.”
You weren’t his brat. Nor were you one of his cadets he ordered around, but your cunt fluttered around the words all the same. The way he was so determined to playfully shame you, when he was the one to jump you and sink his fingers into your cunt?
Levi assisted in your head bobbing, his fingers nestled in your hair. “Give it a spit shine, show me how fucking good you are at your job, cumdump.”
You parted with his cock to obey, to spit on the veiny shaft. You thinned out the spit with your palm before introducing him back into your mouth. You moaned around Levi’s cock, the vibrations around his member causing him to do the same.
Fuck. You couldn’t take it; you led a hand between your thighs, startled at how sensitive you were to your own touch when your fingers circled against the damp clutch of your panties.
“Playing with yourself while you suck me off …” He hissed when you sank forward, his cockhead tickling, threatening the sanctity of your uvula. “Depraved little slut.”
Levi clutched your head firmer to steady you and started thoroughly fucking your mouth. You gasped, choked, the rapid tousling of your head clouding your senses. Your eyes pebbled with tears. You ran a fingertip down your clothed slit, the seam of your panties wet from your want. You moaned as Levi did. Your lips tightened around the span of him. You raised to the challenge, sucking harshly as he bucked into your willing mouth.
“Ah, fuck,” he hissed. You cracked an eye open to see Levi’s hips stutter, his other hand bracing against the table.
“Mmm!” You were so hot. You worked your clit harder before realizing you didn’t have to cheat yourself slid a hand past the elastic of your panties, slipping fingers through your folds.
“Don’t you dare flake on me,” Levi said. “We just cleaned these floors; take every last drop.”
You didn’t need him to tell you what to do; you knew your role now. Levi slowed his pace to allow you to take over. You rose on your knees, gripped one of his ass cheeks to hold him close. A soft gasp from Levi as you ran your tongue over the vein on the underside of his cock, coaxing him to coming. You felt it twitch, excited and abused in your hot, wet mouth.
“Fuck, fuck —“ Levi growled, gripped the side of the table. “Every drop, you little cumcatcher —!”
Levi fisted your hand as he spilled into your mouth. You closed your eyes to it, clinging to his shaft to pull him back and allow your mouth much needed space. Levi fed you his pants, his hurried breaths quickening your heart. His cockhead sat on the flat of your tongue while ropes of cum ran down the length of it. You obeyed his command, swallowing every drop, letting him use you as the little cum dispenser he wanted you to be. You wanted to be for him.
Your jaw screamed with relief when Levi left your mouth. A bridge of saliva connected you to his spent member and you promptly wiped it away before it could threaten the sanctity of Levi’s perfectly polished floors.
He looked down at you, his stoicism softened by fondness. He stroked the cheek he’d previously abused. “Good girl.”
You purred. “Only for you.”
“Hm.”
You stood and pecked him inches above his ever-scowling eyebrow. “That’s all you have to say? After all that huffing and puffing you —?”
Levi’s hand met the back of your neck and pulled you close, glaring right into your eyes. “You’re running your shitty fucking mouth before I can even reward you.”
Your brow raised in interest. “Oh?”
“Yeah.” Levi jerked his head toward his bedroom. “Let’s finish this.”
You gaped in surprise. “But we just cleaned the sheets!”
“And you’re not about to get them dirty again. Right?” Levi stared pointedly at you before leaning into your throat, giving it a soft but prompt nibble. He pulled away as you hummed. “Right?”
You ran your tongue over your lip, batting intrigued eyes at him for a second. He really was an eccentric weirdo. You wordlessly complied, strolling into the bedroom to get into place for him. Levi followed, pulling you toward him. One hand yanked you to him by your shirt, dragging you into a kiss. You gasped at the sudden action. His force pressed the bed into the back of your knees and you clumsily sat. Levi worked your shirt away before hooking a hand down the elastic of both your trousers and panties.
He peered down at your lower half, mildly amused. “Bet you’re already dripping after playing with yourself while sucking me off, fucking freak …”
You giggled, your rebuttal your raised, pruney fingers.
Levi gripped your wrist. “Filthy …” He brought your fingers to his mouth — jerked the two articles of clothing fisted in his grip to hook at the back of your knees. The tiniest smirk tugged at the corner of his lips at your widened eyes, your tiny gasp.
Levi tossed away your clothes. He slotted into the new space between your legs. You ran your fingers over his plump lower lip as he fished for his cock, and pride flared in you to feel he was already hard again, your teasing sufficient enough to make him stand at attention.
“We — ahh …” You furrowed your brows at the feel of Levi’s cock sheathing inside you. You sighed. Tried again. “We’re going to make a mess for sure.”
“We’re not going to make a mess,” Levi corrected before inserting himself fully, thrusting to the hilt and, over your moan, “You’re going to take it.”
You didn’t wonder because you didn’t need to; his tacit answer, coming in the form of another pointed look up at you, had been enough for understanding to flourish like moss on stone. He was going to fill you up, leave you so full of his cum he would surely pull out of you squeaky clean, every precaution you might’ve taken against pregnancy be damned. The insinuation sent flutters to your cunt you were sure Levi could feel around his cock, were sure he could feel the effect he had on you. Your final confirmation being that he was still fully clothed, as though confident you would not sully him even as he ruined you.
Levi quickened his pace in such a way you were forced to grab ahold to his shoulders. “Fu — Is that so? Mm!”
“Yeah — fuck,” Levi muttered in your ear. “As you said, we just fucking cleaned these sheets, and there’s no way they’re getting dirty again just because you can’t control your disgusting sobbing snatch.”
You wanted to slap him — wanted to throw his insults and his eager cock in his face — and your hand itched to do so, but as he found his rhythm you couldn’t; he fucked you hard into the mattress, barely breaking a sweat as he barreled into you. A hand flew to constrict your throat, sinking you down further and thus making it easier for him to bully into you. Levi brought his face close to yours as his hips went wild, giving you a taste of that Ackerman strength you had heard so much about.
“Ah — uh —!” You moaned, your eyes falling closed as your mouth slacked wide. “Levi — Levi!”
You cracked eyes open to see Levi’s face strained from his efforts above you. Another flutter down below struck to see how much of an effect you were having on him. You loved him like this; the sarcastic, stoic know-it-all you’d come to know melting away until he was just a man enthralled with your pussy. You looped arms around his, bracing your hands at his back. A hand grazed your mons pubic and three fingers at your clit had you choking a moan.
“Come on,” You urged. “Oh.” You shuddered when Levi flicked at your clit every which way in response. “I’ll be such a good girl for you and take it, mm …”
“Fucking noisy brat, nrgh!” The hand Levi had roped over your throat tightened. “Using my own words against me …”
First your arms then your legs wrapped around him — only to aid in flipping him on his back. The world whirled around you as you came out on top. Levi choked back a sound of surprise as you mounted him. You looked down at him with a smirk.
“The fuck you think you’re doing?” He said, an aimless hand groping at your tit.
“Being a good girl.” You let yourself down on him, basked in the triumph coming in the form of Levi’s relieved groan beneath you. “I wanna show you how good I can take it.”
Levi’s face contorted in an almost-glare he soon realized he had not the energy for when you planted hands on his chest, rebellious fingers discreetly tweaking his nipples through his uniform as you found purchase, and began to bounce on him. His eyes shut, brows furrowed as the round of your ass routinely slapped against his thighs.
“Fuuuck.” Nails left crescent moons of your thighs. “Feels good, ugh …!”
“Anything for you, Captain —“
“Don’t call me that.” Levi grasped harder at the junction between your thigh and ass.
“Why?” You paused, sitting on him, opting to squeeze around him as you did so. Levi grunted, bucked up in response. “It doesn’t have an effect, does it?”
“Fuck, read the room —“ Levi’s eyes trained on where you two met in the middle, your sopping snatch routinely coming to devour him. “Clearly, I’m not your captain, otherwise — urgh!”
You kept fucking against him, surprised by both the agility and stamina you seemed to have in this moment. Levi’s cock split you open so good, so completely. It was growing increasingly hard to tease him as you felt yourself getting close. So close. Levi slapped your ass before taking a handful and tugging you forward. You fell onto him.
“Otherwise — oh — what?” You asked, your faces now so close as to have your noses rubbing. “You won’t let me drain your cock of every last drop?”
Levi’s knuckles had to be white from how tight his hold now was on you. He groaned, biting down on his lip as his forehead met yours.
“I don’t care about the rules,” You said, voice sounding more desperate than was your intent due to your cresting release. “You’re my captain, so I’m gonna — oh! — be a good girl and fuck my captain until he’s fucked dry from my cunt —“
A sound of utter frustration from Levi and his hands were bruising your hips. Hard. He fucked up into you, slamming you down onto him, and every time he met you half way. Now you held onto his shoulders for fear of falling off, too hazed from lust and pleasure to register that as a foolish notion; like Levi would ever let you fall. Like he would ever let you go.
You fisted one hand into the sheets, meeting Levi’s upward thrusts however you could. Teasing words devolved into endless grunts and moans. You exchanged breaths before you remembered you could kiss him and did, kissing him hard as your last threads of sanity snapped and you clenched wildly down onto him.
You moaned into Levi’s mouth as you came. You gripped his cock with your cunt again, again, and felt Levi come undone underneath you only seconds later. Warm, thick ropes of cum spilled into you and you stilled on top of him, sitting flat, then grinding your hips, your clit rocking into his abdomen rug-burned by his pubic hair. The sensation added another shock of pleasure as you came undone.
Levi was determined to fuck you through it. With strength you didn’t think he still had, he flipped you over and proceeded to fuck his come into you, the length of his shaft coated white with your juices and his. Another thrust and he slammed into you without retreating, holding there.
“Levi …” You moaned out. You felt him move and whined; you weren’t ready for him to leave you, to be empty.
But the second Levi pulled out, he replaced what you’d lost with his fingers, ensuring his spent be left inside.
“Oh, fuck, Le …!” You shuddered, too overstimulated to submit to Levi’s fingers rubbing up against your spot.
“Quiet,” he murmured. “You’re a good girl, remember? Don’t wanna hear it …”
You bit your lip, nearly ripped the sheets from their corners as he stimulated you from inside. Finally, he withdrew his fingers, certain his spent had taken with you.
“Phew.” Eyes closed, you fell back into the pillow, too blissed out to articulate much more.
The mattress depressed at your side and you knew Levi was there, trailing kisses up your arm. Once in the crook of your neck, “Good girl.”
You hummed as Levi relaxed beside you. Despite his claims, you knew there was no way the sheets hadn’t been tainted — by sweat, by juice if not by his cum — and Levi would have you rip the sheets from their corners and wash them. He’d watch to see what kind of detergent you would choose, testing to see if your skills were up to par with his. And perhaps he would fuck you in the laundry room while the sheets dried. Maybe he would fuck into you from behind while you made the bed. Whatever it was, you were game. Always. When and if it was with him.
While your mind swam with sordid thoughts, Levi spoke up:
“What do you want?”
You propped up on an elbow, facing him. “Hm?”
“Us.” He turned to you, stoic expression having returned, but his eyes ever watchful. “What do you want out of this?”
You smiled. “I … want a partner. Someone to share things with.” You sought out his hand to entwine your fingers with his and, to your surprise, he reciprocated the gesture after a second or two. “But it doesn’t have to be serious. Or public.”
“Hm.” Levi nodded. You always got the sense he was testing you, somehow, both in and out of bed. The romantic in you wanted to believe it was because he feared hurting you, feared pushing you beyond your limits. “I think that would be best for now.”
Fuck buddies it is.
“We should work on these sheets,” Levi said. “It’s not too late. We could have them dried before midnight.” He eyed you with challenge. “If you’re not too tired?”
You thought of your previous fantasies. Perhaps you would be the one to initiate this time?
You smirked. “You’re on.”
Love is in the air
Paul x GN! Reader
A/n: Hi there! I decided to experiment with some writing prompts as an excercise to try and write more consistently. Hope you enjoy them!
Word count: 826
Prompt: "You're in love." / "I think you're delusional." / "And I think you're in denial."
David is being observant. :')
Paul wasn’t hard to notice, his handsome looks and loud personality making him stand out in a crowd of ordinary people. But that’s the thing, he was far from ordinary, and not just because he was a bloodthirsty creature of the night. That was true for all of you. His magic was in how much effect he had on you. He had a way to bring a smile to your face regardless of the circumstances, his sunny and silly persona brightening up the endless nights of your immortal life ever since you joined this little ragtag group all those years ago. He made you feel welcome, warming up your long dead heart after decades spent alone and lonely, drifting around from place to place before arriving to the small coastal town of Santa Carla.
You found yourself reminiscing about old times as you nursed a drink in your lap, your face warmed by the bonfire the guys set up on a more secluded part of the beach. You could faintly hear the noise and cheer of the boardwalk from afar, but it was mostly drowned out by Paul’s boombox sitting a few feet away from you, playing a rock song you heard him hum so many times before. Speaking of Paul, he was currently getting chased around the beach by Marko after throwing a handful of sand in his face. An amused grin spread across your face as the smaller boy tackled him to the ground with a victorious roar, the two of them rolling around in the sand coupled with howls of laughter.
Dwayne was off with Laddie to get some food while you and David sat around the fire, enjoying the balmy night air and watching the boys’ playfighting. Being so absorbed in your thoughts, you almost didn’t notice the feeling of eyes on you. Turning to the right, you found David staring, blue eyes studying your face with a cigarette in hand. You raised an eyebrow in a silent question, but he just shook his head, looking back into the fire with a knowing smile on his lips.
“What?” you asked. He shook his head again, his grin growing bigger, like he found something incredibly amusing that he wasn’t willing to share yet.
“David, what is it?” you barked, getting a tad irritated by his lack of response.
“Nothing. You’re just very easy to read.” Now you were just confused.
“What are you talking about?”
“Knowing you, I’m sure you haven’t even figured it out yet,” he continued completely ignoring your question.
Hackles raised, you were pretty convinced he just called you dense, but then the rest of his sentence registered. “Figured out what?”
David slowly looked at you, that annoying smirk on his face.
“That you’re in love.”
You suddenly grew flustered, turning away from him and taking a swig from your drink. Your eyes subconsciously sought out Paul, who seemingly got the upper hand during the small window of time you weren’t looking. He was currently grinning like a maniac as he started tickling Marko, the curly haired vampire flailing his arm around, trying to punch his friend in the face to make him stop. Without even meaning to, a smile rose to your lips at his antics. It quickly melted off as you caught yourself, face turning hot in embarrassment. Sneaking a glance at David, his shit-eating grin made it obvious that nothing had escaped his attention. You swiftly averted you gaze.
“I think you’re delusional,” you stated.
“And I think you’re in denial. I get it, darling, our Paulie is a good looking guy. There’s no shame in falling for his charms.”
You were pretty sure your head would spontaneously combust if he kept up that teasing tone.
“It’s not like that.”
“If you say so,” he shrugged and took a drag from his cigarette, looking nonchalant, but that mischievous glint in his eyes told you everything you needed to know.
You brought the bottle to your lips with a huff, but to your disappointment, it was already empty. You dropped it into the sand, then just stared into the fire, pointedly ignoring David’s presence next to you. That was until you heard a screech. Looking up, you saw Marko now on top, his fingers at Paul’s sides, tickling the hell out of him. The rocker was shrieking with laughter, thrashing around, his legs kicking, but he couldn’t break free. Gasping for air, he turned his head in your direction and screamed your name in a last ditch effort.
“Help, he’s killing me!” Then he fell back into another fit of giggles. Shit, maybe David was right.
You let out a resigned sigh and stood up, feeling his eyes on you once again.
“Don’t even start,” you grumbled without looking at the leader, then went to save that stupid beautiful man. After all, who are you going to confess your potentially growing feelings to if Marko accidentally smothers him?
Aka you and billy yell at eachother but really can’t stay mad 😊
The day was quiet, compared to moments ago. The crack of bullets really could make birdsong sound like an angel choir.
You’re balancing on the balls of your feet, turning up your chin to let the blood dripping from your nostril smatter the grass instead of your shirt. The men were cleaning up after you, the irony wasn’t lost on nobody. You were nervously palming the iron pressed into your hand, hanging at your side, chambers emptied.
It’s like you hear the huff in the air and the stomp of his boots ‘fore he calls your name. “What the hell was that?”
“Is that rhetorical, or d’ya really want to know?” You lamely joke as Billy stops beside you. Your eyes fix on him but you keep your nose tilted to the earth as the fronds of grass catch the blood. Billy scoffs.
“You’re unbe-fuckin’-lievable.” He shakes his head, his nostrils flaring and his lip curling with the type of rage you’d never seen facing your direction. You avert your eyes. “Y’know how stupid that was ‘f you? Y’get it through yer fuckin’ skull how ballsy that back there was?”
You swallow hard. Billy wasn’t one to tell you off, but then again, he was one to tell every Regulator off. Being the closest woman to him nowadays didn’t make you anything more or anything less. “I saw him reach for his gun.”
“He wasn’t gonna shoot!” Billy barks, side-stepping so it’s a bit tougher to avoid looking at him. You stare down at the mud staining his boots.
“You weren’t lookin’ at him like I was, Billy.” You sniffle up the blood, wiping your lip on your knuckles. You’d gotten tackled to the ground after firing the first bullet, but your nose was the only injury. The way you drawl, he gets the impression that you don’t take him for more than a young ‘un throwing a tantrum.
It was toeing the line to begin with. A tense meeting twixt gangs trying to sniff the other one out, not by any means friendly, but not brave enough to be outright hostile. You guessed that you put your foot down for everybody.
Whatever. You stood by your choice.
“That was the dumbest thing you coulda done, y’know that? Y’know that you just opened up another fuckin’ problem for us!” Billy’s voice booms through the open grassland like lead ripping through the air. Not the most pleasant thing on your ears, but you’ve never been one to cry at some harsh words.
“Was gonna be a problem anyway.” You scoff, glancing up at him through your lashes. You shift on your boots, still standing funny, feeling a bit sheepish now.
You keep your head down to the earth even as your nosebleed staunches, and Billy clearly isn’t taking kindly to the way you’re avoiding him. Quickly, he grasps your chin in his hand, not hurting you, but holding your jaw firm enough for his fingers to flex. “You coulda gotten somebody killed, do y’hear me?”
Your eyes widen, taking in his visage like a gulp of air. But you don’t particularly spook, not enough to pipe down. “Yeah. Hear you,” you snip, your tone all attitude. Sure, you were brash back in there, but who was he to yell at you like a child?
“No, you don’t. You never fuckin’ do, y’never wanna just sit and listen, damnit. Never think y’might be wrong, huh?” Billy practically spits. His cheeks are a bit flushed, you amount that to the weather steadily cooling down— you can see the faint puffs his breaths manifest in.
His azure eyes are wild, so intense that you feel them physically pressing in on you. Maybe those are just the pads of his fingers. You don’t tell him to take his hand off you, though— something about it just doesn’t scare you. Something different is in the way his eyes hold you, speaking as his lips seal, shouting as his voice dies in his throat.
Your intuition is correct, as with a tick of his jaw and a flare of his nostrils, Billy’s lips crash onto yours.
It washes over you, like a dam broken. It only took you a moment to gather your head and kiss Billy back. His chapped lips move on yours with an indescribable hunger, that anger twixt you two forced into that kiss, making you feel a bit dizzy. Luckily enough his hand comes to the small of your back to hold you tight, the other keeping a strong hold on your chin. You give, you take, you back off and he chases, he lets up and you demand more. He leans down to you, but you still tilt your head up to meet him, keeping your nose nudged to his even when he leans away from you.
It’s a long silence, twixt you two. The quiet after the monsoon, it rests, it weighs heavy, and you break it with a soft huff. He replies with a quiet grunt. How long? A while. You don’t need anything more to understand, as his eyes bore into yours.
“You’re a real piece of work.” Billy mumbles, his brow furrowing sweetly. You feel suddenly inclined to reach up and smooth that crease out.
“So’re you.” You remind him. Successfully making that furrow disappear as a small, almost exasperated smile graces his lips.
he releases your face. Instead he rifles in his pocket for a handkerchief. “You coulda gotten shot in the fuckin’ head.” He takes your face back into his free hand, his voice scratching like sandpaper.
You only shrug in reply. Billy dabs at your upper lip, he speaks spoken through gritted teeth like you’re pissing him off all over again. “Y’don’t care?”
“You care that I don’t?” You retort, childish as it is. His eyes flicker up to yours. You can see the anger there, toiling in his irises like a maritime storm. But it thins like smoke rising, it sweeps sheets underneath the most earnest concern you could picture. You’re a brat, but he can’t stay angry.
He shakes his head at you, swallowing hard. It’s a whole whirlwind, facing his anger, feeling his chapped lips on yours, and now seeing water spring to his eyes. “Yeah.” Billy’s voice cracks, he looks down to swallow again and correct it. “Yeah, ‘course I care. Shit.”
You stare at him even as he averts his gaze. He cared, the son of a bitch. You put yourself in danger and he cares. He swipes at your lip a few times before crumpling the handkerchief in his fist, dropping that hand to his side and the other to the side of your neck.
“Y’cant be so impulsive.” Billy’s voice is firm and his expression is unwavering. It’s those blue eyes that give him away entirely, full of raw concern. He’s blinked away the tears ‘fore they could meet his cheeks.
“You don’t need to worry over me.” You insist, softly. You shake your head a bit, though the jog doesn’t ebb the way your mind reels. “I’m not your problem.”
Billy shakes his head, his eyes darting over your features. “Don’t act like that. Y’know y’are.” The calloused pad of his thumb drags softly along your jaw, you wonder how many times you’d imagined what this’d feel like.
“I am?” Billy simply nods, closing his eyes a brief moment. Collecting himself. You take the chance to admire the way his lashes fan against his sun-freckled cheeks.
It was a strange feeling, to realize the weight of someone else’s concern on your shoulders. To know that your injury hurt someone just the same as it did you. That someone cared enough to be upset with your recklessness for your own good, to fret over your safety. To yell when you didn’t guard yourself like he would’ve.
It’s a burden you don’t mind accepting. You press your lips. “You really mad?”
Billy lets a sigh out through his nose. Slowly, he shakes his head, his own lip pulling almost to say guess not. “Probably should be.”
You hum in soft agreement. Billy shifts his weight as he stuffs the bloodied handkerchief into his pocket, dropping his other hand from your neck. You almost mourn the comfortable weight before his fingers slot their way twixt yours. “Ain’t no thing, when we both know ya’ll get me all jumpy again in a minute.”
A smile you can’t contain takes over your face, Billy mirroring you with a lazy grin. “Watch it, Bonney.” You’re mostly joking, but his brows lift and he nods decidedly.
“Yes ma’am.”
The Blessing to Your Curse - Part 1 (Ryomen Sukuna x Reader)
Hey y’all I’m back again so soon with another fic, Sukuna’s lover reincarnation (whatever you call it) has me in a chokehold right now and I thought I’d share this with the world. Would like to warn you there is a lot of strange jumping around/pov changes which are indicated by the change in pronouns, I would mark each change but it would get a bit messy after a while so I hope it’s not too hard to follow! ^-^
Reader’s powers involve something I like to call ‘blessed energy’ which is the opposite to cursed energy and is mostly used for healing (reverse blessed energy is used to harm in the same way reverse CE is used to heal) and it’s something I created to use with my writings in the JJK universe. (sometimes I write it a little op because im a self-indulgent piece of shit so for most of what I post I’ll probably dial it back if I use it hehe) The reader has a similar situation to Maki/Mai (MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD) where one twin is restricted and the other has all the energy, and when the one with the energy dies the living twin gains all the power, so I hope that makes sense in context of the story
(PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO SEND A REQUEST!!!! I'M ALWAYS IN NEED OF NEW PROMPTS AND CHARACTERS TO GO WITH THEM ❤)(I have a post which outlines characters I mostly write for but I'm open to adding to that list!!)
Warnings: mild description of mutilation (sukuna’s transformation), main character death (not described), fluff
Word count: 2.4k
“Ryomen!” You laugh, trying to keep a few steps ahead of the young man who chases after you. Your legs tire easily, body frail and sick despite the immense power flowing through your veins. “I’m coming for you!” He growls playfully, “Better run!” He’s holding back from his top speed, this you know well, but you refuse to let that stop you from trying to keep up with his childish play. Still young, 16 and 17 with him being the older one, you insist that you would rather spend the rest of your life here with him than being shepherded around in the village like a priestess.
This is your only escape from the temple on the hill, only solitude, your time with Ryomen Sukuna is precious and you treat it as such, thinking only of him and his rare smiles. You refuse to let the village’s words taint your view of him, as powerful as he is with his cursed energy there is good in him and you seek to nurture it, for both simple selfish gain and so he doesn’t turn on everyone like they did him. You reach the treeline and race out into the meadow, the grass tall and soft around your waist having stripped down from your daily ceremonial robes into just modest loose undergarments.
He does eventually catch up near the middle of the meadow, springing out of the grass and tackling you to the ground, making sure to roll so you land on top of him and he takes the full force of the fall. The last time you returned to the village after a long day of simple play with bruises and scrapes you weren’t allowed to leave the village for a few weeks.
He’s grown quite a lot larger than you during his time in exile, to be expected when you have to fend for yourself against wild animals and build your own shelter, “You’re getting stronger every day,” You smile, pushing yourself off him and laying in the grass, staring up at the beautiful pink of the sunset. “Well I have to, to be able protect you, I’m not the only thing out there you know,” He says, his tone almost too blasé for what he’s implying. You tilt your head and trace the lines of his tattoos with your eyes, “I know you’re not, but you’re not a thing to me Ryomen,” You murmur, “Please, you’re the closest thing I have to a friend, you’ve always been human to me,”
He meets your gaze, his eyes used to be brown, but the red no longer worries you like it used to, “One day I’ll get you out of that village,” He says softly, his words for your ears and the rustling grass only, “I will take you far away from here and we can live somewhere untouched by the rest of the world,” You sit up, looking down at him as you hug your knees to your chest, “I’d like that,” You say, smiling, “Just the two of us,” Nothing could touch you while you were together, the world stood still for you, not even the scathing remarks you sometimes got from the other young girls of the village could hurt you.
The world is volatile, things can change so quickly. Curses are still so new to the world of humans, sorcerers that act as protectors are only just starting to appear among humans and spread themselves between villages when the day finally comes. The wave of hatred and anguish that came with the curses suffocated everything in its path. You were outside the village when it happened, returning from a visit with Sukuna, and you returned to find nothing but death and destruction. More than half of the village had been killed with no discrimination towards age or gender, and it only soothed you a little to see your old family home empty when you wrenched the door open. No blood nor bodies of any kind. Your parents and sister had made it out alive, but the temple atop the hill that you resided in was completely engulfed.
You weren’t naïve, you did not attempt to return to the temple, but they came for you all the same because your energy was like a beacon for them, and they were programmed to destroy. Running with Ryomen had improved your strength over the time you spent together, you supposed that was one of the ways he took care of you in his silent brooding way, but it wasn’t enough to get you all the way to him. He must have sensed your fear as you grew nearer, your breaths shallow and your chest tight, his eyes are the last thing you remember seeing before your soul was harshly liberated from your flesh.
The smell of blood permeated through layers of warmth that held you in suspension beyond life, but you felt yourself being dragged back to the ground, standing over your own body as you watch the only person outside of your immediate family who ever truly cared for you cry. You had never seen him cry before, it was cathartic to know even he still felt human somewhere inside while holding your weak broken body to his bare tattooed chest.
You felt his cursed energy filling the air like smoke, almost able to see it in the purgatory state you’re trapped in, his body shaking and his muscles twitching. It was like watching someone turn themselves inside out when it finally happened, his body began changing before your eyes, an extra pair of arms sprout from the top of his ribcage just under the normal ones. His face contorts with an agonized cry and one half becomes unrecognisable, the flesh pink and hardened into some sort of twisted mask, and to finish the monstrous transformation a second pair of eyes open under his regular ones.
Drenched in sweat and breathing heavily as he cradles you, you hear him make one last promise, one that locks around what remains of your essence like chains and puts you into a deep sleep. “I will burn this world for taking you from me, I will become the King of Curses, and when you are reborn I shall make you remember, make you my Queen, I will bind myself to you to protect you,” It’s the final part that reassures you he isn’t losing himself as the darkness consumes you, “When I find you, the world will be right once again,”
Now it had been over a thousand years since the light in Sukuna’s life had gone out, reducing him to a killing machine that punished the world for snuffing it out, and he had returned once more in the body of a naive 15 year old boy with pink hair. Having been preserved as twenty separate cursed objects since his untimely death he was eager to resume his self-assigned purge, but the boy had more control over his body than Sukuna could break through, leaving him trapped within his innate domain watching through Yuji Itadori’s eyes like they’re windows.
“I had to do it at least once,” He grumbles to himself as the boy sits up, stark naked, on the morgue table, surprising the three sorcerers in the room with the formerly dead boy. “There’s someone I’d like you to meet, Yuji, come,” Gojo instructs as the boy slips on some clothes handed to him. “Another sorcerer?” He asks. “You’ll see when we get there,” The taller man beckons him and they make their way to a house on the furthest outskirts of the Jujutsu high campus, small in size and surrounded by forest on all sides except for the path leading up to the entrance.
A fire burns in the chimney and the house is warm when the pair steps inside, “L/n!” Gojo calls out. Sukuna’s attention is elsewhere as around the corner down the hall out walks a pure angel, her energy blinding and her form strong. “Gojo!” She smiles, “Who’s this?” “This is Yuji Itadori, Ryomen Sukuna’s vessel,” She bows politely, “Welcome to my home,” She looks back up into Yuji’s eyes as he smiles, “It’s nice to meet you!”
“Enchain!” Sukuna shouts, and suddenly he’s thrown violently to the forefront of Yuji’s mind. His trump card, wasted. He hadn’t considered the potential consequences, it had been instinctual and foolish of him. The girl didn’t know who he was, but he wanted to speak to her all the same. He would make her know. He cannot stumble, he cannot falter, not when she’s right there and all he has to do is show her, “Y/n,” He murmurs. “That’s not Yuji,” She frowns, her voice soft, “That’s-” Before the two can react Sukuna is on his knees before her, holding her hands in his and hiding against her soft clothing. “I’ve…” Gojo trails off, “I’ve never seen that before,” The girl doesn’t let him go, and he feels her power reach into him, feeling around in the darkest parts of his soul, “My Queen,” He mutters, feeling the metaphysical chains around his heart tighten, “Please, remember,”
A fast surge of energy from Gojo causes the man on his knees before you to react just as quickly, pulling you tighter against him and then seemingly teleporting out the open door into the clearing, “It’s rude to attack ROYALTY!” He roars as Gojo steps out the door after the pair of you. Sukuna has planted himself firmly between the two of you, “You sorcerers never learn manners!” Something happens when your skin next touches his, his hand shooting out to catch you by your wrist as you fail to keep your balance.
A flood of memories that don’t belong to you, in fact, ones that belong to him. You see yourself, weak and frail but smiling widely, Sukuna as he is in front of you now not as he is described in sorcerer texts. A regular human man with an abnormal amount of tattoos, fiercely protective and full of love for the only person who still sees him as human. You vaguely feel yourself fall to your knees as everything from the day he was exiled to the day you died returned to your mind. You knew that despite the life you had lived for twenty years, you were in fact over a thousand years old.
This wasn’t your life, this wasn’t your body, it was hers, but you are her. You can feel the chains, too, the ones he put there the day you died to ensure that you would return. “The world took her from me, and the world paid the price, now BACK OFF!” His words shake you out of your visions, his hand still clutching your wrist as your head hangs weakly.
“Come now, Sukuna, taking hostages isn’t your style, you know that,” Gojo bargains, “Let her go, and we can fight like men,” You shake your head, “No,” You murmur, “No, Gojo,” You finally look up into his eyes, slightly uncovered as he prepares to fight, “He’s right, I know who I am, I know where my clan comes from,” He doesn’t make a move towards you and you take the opportunity to speak again, “My mother was blessed, her child would calm the beast, but she had two and one was weak in body strong in energy, the other was lacking in energy but strong of body,” Your sister had been the one the clan records mentioned, nobody remembered the girl who died alone in Ryomen Sukuna’s arms.
“I am the Queen to Ryomen Sukuna’s King,” You breathe, feeling his grip on your wrist go lax. His energy dies away and he falls to his hands and knees, but the tattoos are gone. “Yuji!” Gojo’s shoulders finally relax and he recovers his eyes, “What happened? How did he get through?” “Don’t ignore me, Satoru,” You state firmly, “Sukuna will not be a threat while I am alive,” “Can you guarantee that?” He’s always been intimidating, but this man was a part of your training as a sorcerer, and he can be rational when he wants to be.
“You’re an imbecile if you think I’m going to go back on a binding vow,” Sukuna spits from Yuji’s cheek, the boy not even having a chance to get a word in, “She is the only thing in this forsaken world I care about and you’re not about to take that away from me just so you can pretend like you’re the saviour of humanity,” You don’t remember ever being as harsh as Sukuna is right now, but his rage fills you with confidence and admiration, “I can guarantee humans will not fall as long as I am alive, his vow makes sure of it, though I’m sure he would not need it either way,”
The secondary eye on Yuji’s cheek closest to you locks its gaze onto you, “Ever so cunning, I wish I’d had the chance to nurture your hatred towards the village, maybe you’d be more open to killing,” He sounds almost wistful, “But alas, I did make a promise, and I intend to keep it, no matter how idiotic I think you sorcerers are,” You finally move to stand back on your feet, helping Yuji up with a tentative smile, “It’s nice to meet you Itadori,” You murmur, “I’m sorry you have to listen to that punk, you come to me if he gives you trouble alright?” The boy nods, his previously cheery demeanour replaced with something mellower and he seems deep in thought as he looks into your eyes.
“He really loves you,” He murmurs in disbelief, “I didn’t… I didn’t think he was truly capable of love, after what he did to me,” You shrug, “It’ll make sense one day, but I’ll let him be the one who opens up, it’s not my place to air out thousand year old dirty laundry with people who are long dead anyway,” Your words hang in the air as Gojo finally sighs. The discussion and conclusion are finalised when he leaves, Yuji will live with you and you will suppress Sukuna’s energy. You will keep the world safe by preserving your life, lest another binding vow come down upon your departing soul and the King of curses be forced to unleash his merciless fury once more.
Sukuna is a little shit and out of character because it’s my fic and I get to write the male love interest however I want (I tried besties :( I don’t like mean Sukuna but I do love “I hate everyone but you” so that’s what you get) also I wrote this instead of sleeping at 2am, the brainrot is real and this will probably end up being a series because I can’t control myself
Part 2 here!
death valley (alpha iwaizumi x omega reader)
my piece for @goxjo's into the omegaverse collab! thanks for having me and it was a lot of fun to come back to writing after being away for so longgg (rip yubishie)!!!!
tw. a/b/o, mm maybe a little codependent, yandere-lite as i like to call my particular brand, dubcon
It’s times like this that you really, really hate being an omega. To be fully honest, you’d never really minded it before everything went down. Yes, a lot of being an omega was definitely inconvenient and awkward. Though you’d been on blockers pretty much all your life since showing, with how rare omegas were, even (assumed) betas weren’t spared from the harassment of alphas and even fellow betas. God, you missed your blockers. Not that you had the Internet to check against anymore, but you were pretty sure the omega scent too had some kind of effect on the zombies. If anybody asked you (not that you had met anyone so far), the scent probably was a big fat arrow for zombies in the same way it was for alphas. Easy prey, the evolutionarily perfect meal, body composed in just the right way to be a delicacy, unlike alphas who might be too much muscle to be enjoyed. You weren’t too sure how picky zombies were though, to be honest.
Back to what you were thinking. Yes, despite the trials of being an omega, the lovely side effects of blockers that made you take quite a few sick days, you really didn’t mind. It was just a fact of life, like how the earth revolved around the sun or how the grass was green. There was never much point in lamenting the biology of who you were.
Still, this was kind of pushing it. You’d run out of blockers a few weeks ago, and you weren’t sure if you were going crazy but by your estimates the number of zombies you’d seen from your window had only increased in this time. You’d searched the flats in your small building for blockers, but even before everything went down you hadn’t heard about any omegas staying in your building. You knew there was a pharmacy nearby, and it’d be your best bet. The worst part would be getting there undetected.
Which would bring you to where you were now, lamenting your life. Also, sprinting for your life. Though you’d tried to cover up as much skin as you could, it wasn’t your scent that gave you away. No, it had been a random zombie standing behind a corner as you rounded it. You should’ve given it more berth, you think.
If you were an alpha, you maybe could have lifted the wooden plank nearby to whack the zombie in the head before he’d emitted a series of clicks, alerting his fellow comrades to your presence. Easy prey easy prey easy prey, you’d imagine is what they’re telling each other.
At least you make it into the pharmacy, sprinting inside and sliding a nearby umbrella through the handle. As you turn around, your heart sinks. The pharmacy has basically been raided through, the shelves basically empty. The storeroom, your brain helpfully supplies. Please, let there be some in the storeroom.
The storeroom door is unlocked when you get there. It’s clearly still been somewhat ransacked, but not as much as the outside. Thump. You freeze at the noise from above. A few moments pass. Nothing. Probably just the wind, you try to reassure yourself. Maybe something fell over. Still, you move around the storeroom a little faster.
You’re still searching through the room when you hear the creak of the door. Time seems to slow as you turn around, and before you know it, there’s a man tackling you to the ground before you can let out a peep.
“Don’t yell.” The man grunts. His large hand lays flat against your mouth, while the other rests at the back of your head. You feel like you can barely catch your breath, the weight of this man pressing down on your body. Even still, you try to wrench his hands off you, and just as you're about to bite the palm of his hand, he lifts his head to look at you. “Look, just don’t yell. I’ll take my hand off, if you can promise me you’re not going to start yelling like an idiot.” He looks to you for confirmation.
When he finally does take it off, it takes you a second to compose yourself. Gunmetal eyes sear into yours and you falter, darting your gaze away quickly. Lord, he can't stand the look of you either. It’d only meant to be a quick run to scout out the area, before he’d spotted you running for your life. He’d thought about leaving you, and really, better sense did tell him to. In fact, in the time he took to scale the pharmacy roof and make his way down to where he heard you rifling around, he’d been cursing himself in his head.
He wouldn’t admit it out loud, but damn was he lonely these days. With his athleticism and build, he wasn’t as afraid as some might be to head out and explore. He’d come across a few stragglers, primarily alphas like him, but the problem with a majority of alphas was their ego. It didn’t take them long to piss him off, and he wasn’t stupid enough to ignore his own nature. If he thought someone was stupid, he wasn’t afraid to say it, and Iwaizumi always stuck to his guns. As a result, he’d been riding solo throughout.
Though his first glimpse of you was from afar, you didn’t have the build of an alpha. Alphas usually didn’t spend their time sprinting with only a tiny weapon in their hands either. Still, an omega was beyond his expectations. Tackling you to the floor had bared your neck to him, your light and fresh scent wafting over him. Damn it. He could barely stop himself from burying his nose in your neck. He’d barely even met an omega even before this, let alone be skin to skin with one.
Your scent is only the first thing to hit him. With it comes the realization of all your omega-ness, to put it delicately. Your hip bones digging into his abdomen, the plush of your chest against his, your watery eyes as you stare up at him, your plump lips curled into a pout. He barely even registers when you call his name.
“Iwai.. Iwaizumi, right?” The man above you has been doing nothing but staring silently at you for a few moments, his leg sandwiched between your two. It took you a minute to place him, but you swore something about the cut of his jaw and his sharp eyes was familiar to you. Of course, it’d been from before all this, when Iwaizumi and his friends were basically kings of the school and you’d been a normal student.
“We… we went to school together?” You give him your name, in hopes of some kind of recognition from him. Maybe that little emotional connection would stop him from killing you where you lay right now.
He looks at you, trying to place you. He thinks he’s probably heard your name around in some who-knows-who talk or at a party of sorts, but he doesn’t think he’s ever properly met you. And now he has to lift himself off you, to stop himself from doing something really, really bad to an acquaintance. Your scent has calmed since you'd recognized him, evening itself out from its previous panicked intensity.
Though some part of you still fears him killing you right now, you can't help yourself from letting out a smile, the corners of your mouth pulling wide. It's not long before a giggle bursts from you at the absurdity of it all.
“I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It's just so, so good to see a familiar face right now.” You smile up at him, all teeth, and he thinks he might lose it.
Brusquely, he gets up, stretching out a hand to help you up. He tries to ignore the feeling of your hand in his, dwarfed within his grasp.
“What're you doing out here,” he questions, though it sounds more like a reprimand than anything. “S’not safe for people like you.”
You explain to him how you've run out of blockers, how you're staying nearby, how you've never been without blockers before. It's been so long since you've talked to another person that it seems your mouth can't stop moving.
“But anyways, I haven't found them yet. I've been working my way up, I think there are just a few boxes on the top shelves that maybe haven't been ransacked yet.” You motion over at the ladder across the room. “It's a little tough for me to get up there. Ladder’s a little too short I think.”
He can see the hope in your eyes, so like the gentleman he is (or at least the one he wants you to think he is) he offers to help you take a look. He goes through the motions, checking through the shelves and boxes as you hold on to the ladder and prattle on.
It isn't long before Iwaizumi is climbing back down. He's silent as he looks at you and opens his palm to you. In the middle lies a small pillbox, with seven blockers lying inside. Just enough for a week.
You feel the tears coming up. All that work for a week’s worth of blockers. Still, you try to hold it together in front of Iwaizumi, opening the box and popping one in your mouth. Your eyes are watery as you look up at him with a shaky smile.
“D’you wanna come back to my place and regroup?”
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Somehow an unspoken agreement has formed between you and Iwaizumi over the past seven days. You'd spent the first day showing Iwaizumi around your small apartment, showing him your food reserves, your little medical kit and your small collection of emergency weapons.
The thought had occurred to you that it was probably risky to show all this to a stranger. But Iwaizumi wasn't really a stranger. The two of you had spent the night talking (well mostly you), and when you woke in the morning, you'd half-expected him to have run off with your things. He'd only met your questioning stare in the morning with a raised brow, and no words were exchanged about the blanket over you that you didn't remember being there the night before.
If you were being honest, it was easy to settle into the rhythm of being with Iwaizumi (or Iwa, as you called him in your head but didn't dare to say out loud quite yet). Iwa seemed somewhat like the alpha of alphas, his height and musculature only adding to what was already there. It felt natural, even, to let Iwa take charge. You'd both gone to scout the surrounding area, gradually expanding the radius under Iwa's planning, as you'd made your concerns about your blockers running out clear.
Still, there were no extras added to the collection since the first day. It's hours after the effects wane off that you lie on the floor, silent. Somehow, since the first day, there was an unspoken agreement that the both of you would sleep on the floor. The first night purely by accident, but the following out of comfort. You'd tried to sleep in your own bed, really, but it'd been so long since you were near another person, so something compelled you to go outside and lie near Iwa. Not close enough to make him uncomfortable, of course.
“I don't know where else to look.” You sigh, racking your brains for a mental map of your area. A beat passes before Iwa speaks. “There might be another way.”
Your eyes blink open, and Iwa stands over you, hand outstretched. You let him lift you up so the two of you stand eye to eye. Well, eye to chest with the height difference.
His calloused hand comes up to thumb the crook of your neck, with a gentleness you didn't know he was capable of.
“I could… I could bite you. Make you smell a little more like me.” He raises a brow at you, trying to gauge what you think.
“Um… Um…” You stumble over your words, clearly shocked and hesitant. Still, he can see you're not averse to the idea. All you need, he thinks, is just a little more of a push.
“Do you trust me?” He grips your shoulders, tightly at first, then lets go a little when he remembers how delicate you are. Now that you're off your blockers again, the stress is evident in your scent, swirling around the room. He lets his scent flood out too, to dampen your anxiety with his calm.
Your shoulders relax a little as you look up at him. To be bitten… To be mated… You weren't really sure what to think. Mating was a one-and-done, especially for omegas. Was Iwa even thinking about it the way you were? To you, he felt a little like a stone wall of emotion. It was difficult to tell what he felt a lot of the time, other than frustration. It seemed more likely that he was doing it purely for your safety. And for alphas, you were pretty sure you could do a lot worse than Iwa.
Sure, Iwa was brusque, and what some might call harsh, but he was handsome and strong and he'd helped you out so far. You'd been trying to ignore your hormones and prioritize the situation at hand, but that was simply the fact of the matter. And did you trust him? If you had to say, it would be yes. A tentative yes, but still a yes.
“Yeah, okay, yeah.” You breathe out, trying to calm yourself down. Just think about it as something friends do. Desperate times do call for desperate measures, after all.
“I'll take care of you.” is all Iwa says, gruff as ever. He says it like it's a fact of life before he leans in, nose grazing the crook of your neck.
All you hear are the sounds of both of your breaths as Iwa brushes his lips over your scent gland. You're holding your breath like a statue when you feel something wet, Iwa’s tongue licking a stripe over your collar.
And then it's all teeth and canines as he bites into you. You jerk in his hands from shock, but his firm grasp keeps you where you stand.
The shock of it all feels like the air has been knocked out of you, and it hurts, the teeth piercing into you. And he's still biting you, still, when the pain fades into something warm, something that rises up and floats down and makes you flush.
“Iwa!” You squeak out, hands around his neck. He's still at your neck for a few more seconds before pulling away to look at your flushed face, a woozy look in your eyes.
He can't stop himself from going at your lips, lifting your chin towards him. All he sees is the water in your eyes, all he smells is your delicious scent wafting around, all he hears is your little squeaks and sighs and the soft noises of his mouth against yours. Hell, all he feels is your body melting into his, like pure jelly held up by his arms. You're everywhere and everything, and he can't get enough.
The last thing on his mind are the boxes of white blocker pills, tucked away in the top shelf of the pharmacy.
May i request a fic with a plus size reader and beefy beefy ari.
back story :So tr has always been made fun of because of their weight so as tr got older they got self conscious about their body.
One day the reader was sitting on like the couch and ari had dropped his phone under and he need to move the couch to grab it so he didn’t and while he was pushing it tr thought it sounded like he was struggling punching the couch because they were on it. (you can add more to this part or whatever you’d like suga) so as the week go one tr always hurry to like move when are drops stuff under couches or they always refuse ari to push their chair in or stuff like picking them up to grab something off the counter. ari start to realize and confront tr , tr tell ari and maybe add smut or soft smut or cuddling up to you.
( this was kinda just like the spine of the request you can added anything or remove anything. ps ily and you blog 😘🫶🏼)
hey baby, I love you too! I hope you like this. this is my second plus size fic, I hope I did a good job at it, and also, remember you are all beautiful, no matter what size, shape, look, etc.
summary - you become self-conscious after your boyfriend does something, causing him to let you know how much he loves you.
warning - angst, self-doubt, body shaming.
the gif I use isn't mine, divider by @newlips
You didn’t know how the day would turn out. When your boyfriend dropped his phone, you had thought he’d ask you to move or get on his hands and knees to try and get it. You weren’t expecting him to lift the whole couch with you still on it, and tears are brought to your eyes as he grunts. You would’ve moved if he had asked. You didn’t want to cause him harm. When Ari gently drops the couch to the ground, he tucks his phone into his pants and smiles at you softly. His hand comes up, and he brushes his hair back, sits next to you and gets a movie ready.
Days went by, and every time Ari would try and move something that you were on top of or push you in. You’d quickly jump up and move out of his way or pull the seat in yourself. You knew you were pushing it when Ari asked you on a date and then asked you to be his girlfriend. Ari was out of your league. You knew it. Everyone knew it. It was only a matter of time before he realised he could get someone better, someone thinner. You didn’t miss how his coworkers hung off of him and how he didn’t push them away, or the women that lived on your street, or any female in the world that you came across. They all looked at you like you were a problem, wondering how someone like him could want someone like you.
You had begun to pull away from Ari, hiding your body more, not wanting to get in his way or become a burden. Now, Ari wasn’t small. He was practically a giant, and he was bigger than you. But still, you were sure he would benefit from having someone better than you, someone who could do the things he does without having to feel self-conscious or hide their body. You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn’t notice Ari starting to put the pieces together and realise something was wrong. He watched you, catching that you had been covering up more, distancing yourself from him.
Ari walks over, clearing his throat. “Baby, why are you avoiding me?” You wouldn’t expect a man his size to have the saddest eyes or the softest expression as he stares down at you. He missed when you’d let him hold you, missed you.
You blink and squirm in your seat. Opening and closing your mouth as you try and come up with an explanation, not expecting Ari to notice, but then again. Ari was very observant and caring, and he wouldn’t let you be upset by yourself. “I, uh… I just don’t want to be a burden… Especially when it comes to you lifting things or pushing things in while I’m on it.” You squeak as Ari tackles you into the couch, gripping your face in his hands.
“Baby, you know I don’t care about your weight, and you aren’t even heavy! I’m guessing you’re referring to the day I lifted the couch to grab my phone?” You nod, trying to avoid his eyes until he squeezes your cheeks. “I didn’t grunt because you were on it. I grunted 'cause I saw up your dress while I was doing it and realised I had to be careful not to drop the damn thing.” You stare at him with wide eyes. “That’s not the only thing, is it? There’s more.”
You whimper, feeling tears form as you shake your head. “I–I… Why are you with me, Ari? Why me and not the women who want you? I’ve seen how you enjoy their attention. Why me?” Ari can feel his heartbreak and tears well in his eyes at your words, wondering what he had done wrong for you to think that.
“Oh, baby.” He buries his face into your neck, holding you close. “You’re so special, so much better than any other woman. I barely pay attention to them, trust me. My mind is always on you. I love you too much to want someone else.” He presses a bruising kiss to your lips, a few tears slipping.
thank you for reading!
but i’m scared (of what life without you’s like)
| leah williamson x reader | angst with a dash of hurt/comfort | 1.9k | a/n: got this req in today based of this fic from yesterday. was listening to 'how do i say goodbye' by dean lewis, and well, the stars aligned themselves. i tried to make this short but angsty so someone lmk if i was successful! anyways, happy reading 🫶 read part i. here
~~~
It’s a warm May day yet your blood runs cold.
You know football’s a physical sport, having been on the receiving end of brutal physicality many times.
Pushes, shoves, stud-up tackles, you’ve had your fair share of bruises to show for multiple ninety minutes of running around chasing a little sphere.
Accidents happen, and you were very well aware.
But accidents weren’t supposed to be like this.
Accidents weren’t supposed to be accidents.
Accidents weren’t supposed to involve stretchers immediately rushing to the field.
Nor a silent crowd in a fully sold-out stadium.
Swallowing hard, you helplessly felt your adrenaline kick in, body subconsciously sprinting faster than you’d ever ran before.
Maybe you should’ve checked up on Leah after the blonde had taken the corner to the face. Maybe you should’ve been overbearing. Or looked into her eyes, so that you could’ve noticed the dazed look.
You could’ve stuck around a second longer instead of running back on defence.
You could have, you could have, you could have…but now you couldn’t.
There’s something about seeing an unmoving lump of limbs on the floor, especially of a loved one, chest tightening ever so cruelly, so painfully.
As you come to an abrupt stop beside Leah, you do your best to stay out of the medics' way.
Your hands shake, eyes wide at the blood streaming down the side of her face, the gash above her eye nothing but a waterfall of red.
You don’t realize it when the other girls reach you.
You don’t feel it as Alessia gently wraps her arms around your waist, trying to gently usher you away.
You don’t move an inch though. You can’t.
Your feet are rooted to the spot, eyes fixating on the way Leah’s chest isn’t moving up and down.
She was supposed to be breathing heavily. She had to be.
Sure she had insane fitness, but none of you on the team were yet at the point where seventy minutes of football didn’t feel tiresome- she surely wasn’t.
So why wasn’t her chest moving up and down? Why wasn’t it in the steady rhythm that you loved to listen to when you’d cuddle up to her on late nights after a tiresome day.
Why wasn’t her cheeky smile on her face? The consistent response of her ‘I’m fine’ she would mumble to you each and every time she took a hit or a particularly hard tackle.
Why was she not up yet?
It’s sometime between Lia stepping between you and your view of your girlfriend do you find your voice, panic and realization clear as you call for Leah.
Once.
Twice.
Then another time.
Yet no response.
You feel your own breathing pick up, blood rushing through your ears.
No.
No. No. No. No. NO.
You don’t realize you’ve screamed the words out loud, teammates and opposing players alike sharing grim looks of sympathy as many of them turned away from the sight of the medics.
Doing your best to claw your way out of the striker's tight grasp, you fight Alessia, feet digging into the grass as you try to gain the momentum to be near the English skipper.
Each try though, left you more defeated, the blonde’s grip strong as the ground between you and Leah somehow only increased with each attempt.
This wasn’t how it was supposed to end.
The words rattle in your brain as you see a stretcher in your vision, sounds of sirens ringing faintly, so far away yet so close.
Begging Alessia to let you go, you put all your effort into breaking her hold on you, your hands trying to unlock her linked ones, the striker only pulling you back into her chest in retaliation, gentle murmurs being whispered into your ears.
Tears streaming down your face, heart in your stomach, throat sore from all your screaming, you watch in horror as the sea of medics slowly fade from your view, Leah’s cleats oddly the only thing left on the pitch- no trace of blood, of cleat marks, of the weight of the medical bag- the blonde gone without a trace.
Falling to your knees as Alessia finally let go of you, you curled into yourself, sobs wracking your body as your forehead hit the ground, your hands coming to cover your ears as you tried to block out the shrill noise of the ambulances.
This wasn’t how it was supposed to end.
~~~
It’s the same words ringing in your head that has you jolting awake, you taking a deep inhale when you realize where you are, the familiar walls of your shared bedroom with Leah bringing you immediate comfort that has you slumping back into your pillow.
Feeling wetness on the fabric as you laid down, you realized you’d been crying in your sleep, your cheeks damp, forehead and body covered in a layer of swear as your shirt clung to you.
Fear kicking in as you realized why you were awake at this ungodly hour, you whipped your head to the side, eyes adjusting to the darkness just enough for you to make out your girlfriend’s sprawled out form beside you.
Swallowing hard, the images from earlier haunting your mind, you held your breath as you tried to listen for Leah’s quiet breathing, unable to see her chest rising from the bundle of blankets she was buried beneath.
She was awake, right?
Raising a shaking hand, you contemplated whether you should touch the blonde to soothe your worries.
You didn’t want to bother Leah, well aware of just how long it took her to sleep tonight, the constant pounding in her head frustrating her more than she’d like to admit, only able to get her rest as her body slowly succumbed to the exhaustion of the day.
Yet, with each second that passed, you got flashes of Leah lying face first in the graph, medics around her, the grass stained bright red, taunting you, teasing you as you wondered if you were imagining the breaths you were hearing.
Heart pounding yet again, you wanted to be safe. Sorry didn’t seem like an option.
Sorry wasn’t an option, not when it came to the love of your life.
Holding your breath, you tentatively reached out, hand shaking, moving mere millimetres every few seconds.
You didn’t want to wake her, but you needed to feel that she was alright.
Hand making gentle contact with the nape of the other girl’s neck, you froze as you felt her tense at your touch, muscles taut for a mere second before she relaxed into the feeling.
Waiting a second for her to adapt to your slightly cooler touch, you softly traced the length of her spine, following the bony pattern down to the space between her shoulder blades, hand coming to a rest as your fingers splayed out, trying to maximize the contact you had with her.
Feeling a sob of relief escape you as you felt Leah’s body move in time with her gentle breaths, you brought your other hand to cover your mouth, stifling the sound as you felt your chest wrack with the weight of the tension slowly dissipating.
Doing your best not to move too much as your body shook, you wiped your tears with the hand covering your mouth, not yet ready to let go of your girlfriend, her mere physical presence providing you comfort you couldn’t ever express in words.
Fabric of your sleep shirt tucked into your mouth as you held back shaky pants, you moved to lay on your side, needing to be able to see Leah before you’d feel your heart settle for the night.
You couldn’t lose her. You couldn’t afford to. Not now, and not ever.
Sunshine on your darkest days, the constant light at the end of the tunnel, the woman was your rock through thick and thin.
She was the first person you’d ever truly trusted, and the last you ever would.
She was cocky, over-confident, a cheeky tease, an energetic kid at heart.
She was determined, loving, caring, attentive, respectful, thoughtful.
She was the best thing you had and god did it terrify you that you could’ve lost her yesterday.
A piece of your mind knew her injury wasn’t that serious, the lack of the blonde out-right fainting immediately a good sign, a comforting one really.
Yet, your heart still couldn't believe it, not yet at least.
Letting your hand come to gently brush away the messy strands that had come to cover her face in her sleep, you let your thumb run over her eyebrow as you sighed gratefully.
She was okay.
She was here.
You repeated the words like a mantra in your head, trying to get your racing heard to settle.
Nodding to yourself as you tried to believe the statements, you bit the inside of your cheek as you felt Leah stir at your ministrations, your hand coming to an abrupt stop as she just barely opened an eye, taking a second to register that it was still late, nearly the middle of the night.
Keeping your voice low as you watched her sleep-laden eyes briefly search yours, you resumed your earlier actions, hoping it would bring the blonde the same level of comfort if brought you.
“Go to sleep, yeah? I’ve got you. You’re safe….”
Feeling Leah sleepily nod at your quiet words, you felt your heart melt as she sluggishly pulled herself towards your body, a blonde mop coming to rest on your chest as she curled around your side, an arm coming to wrap around your waist as she held on tightly.
“Love you…”
The words were muffled, being mumbled into the cotton of the old t-shirt you’d stolen from the defender eons ago, yet you heard them clear as day.
“I love you too…so so so much…”
Your words were hoarse, but in her sleepy state Leah didn’t notice and you couldn't help but be glad.
Placing a gentle kiss on the top of her head, your lips lingering for a second, you inhaled deeply, trying to commit the easing restlessness in your body to memory, the weight of the blonde on your chest bringing you the reassurance you so desperately craved, the pair of you breathing in tandem as sleep overtook her again, content in the solace that your arms around her form brought.
You didn’t want to worry about what life would be like without the blonde, and thankfully, you didn’t have to.
Here, with her on your chest, small breaths puffing against the arms you held her close with, you let your worries fall away, lump in your throat easing rapidly with each second.
She was okay.
She was okay and here in your arms.
She was okay, and so you were okay- and you couldn’t thank the universe enough for either of the two.
And so with sleep beginning to creep up on you, you wiped the last few tears of relief away with the back of your hand, finally truly believing the words.
It would all eventually be okay- all of it- just as long as she was here with you.
What about angst with Daryl??? I have a bot I made for myself following this thought 💀
Like an argument where things get said, causing silence for a couple of days and then boom! Next time you see him, it’s at the lineup…and then he gets taken…and then we see him again in Hilltop 🥲🥲🥲
(i actually broke my own heart with this one, my bot is so realistic it hurts 😭)
Anon! Drop the link RIGHT NOW!!!
This made my heart drop, I just know my poor boy would be blaming himself for everything.
Immediately after the argument, all Daryl wanted to do was come back to you and apologise in his own way. He wanted to hug you and tell you he didn’t mean what he said… but he didn’t.
He gave you some space, knowing it was probably best for both of you. The next few days were close to hell. Every time he’d see you on the streets of Alexandria he’d stare, hoping for atleast a bit of eye contact to know you were okay but you would just pretend you hadn’t seen him.
Daryl didn’t know that he could feel that sort of pain in his chest, like he was being physically crushed.
Christ, is this what women can do?
From then on he’d assume the worst.
You didn’t love him anymore.
So he’d pretend nothing ever happened, he’d talk to you if it were necessary but otherwise acted like the old Daryl, the one you had met before the spark grew.
Little did Daryl know how badly that hurt you… you were in the same position, you wanted to give him space and assumed he’d come back when he was ready but he never did.
So you assumed the worst.
He didn’t love you anymore.
You went along with Daryl’s act, assuming that’s what he had wanted you to do… but you missed him, you missed your Daryl. The one you had finally managed to break the defences of, the one who was starting to be more open with you but now all of that was gone, it disappeared like it never happened.
It was getting harder to monitor when Daryl was out and when he was within the walls since now he didn’t leave notes for you, but you’d seen him ride out today, seemingly angry about something but you could also tell he was hurting. You weren’t sure what had happened, no one had told you as of yet but some hours later you were sure that Daryl’s absence was something to worry about.
But you never thought it would be this.
You were pushed to your knees, your family lined up either side of you in a small clearing. The back doors of a van opened up, you couldn’t see what or who was in there but there was some commotion… and then loud panting.
You knew… god you fucking knew something happened, you should have spoken up earlier, maybe he wouldn’t be getting dragged out of a van right now, his shoulder leaking blood onto some sort of blanket that had been draped around him.
Fuck, did he get shot?
You lean forward, trying to look down the line of your family to catch Daryl’s gaze.
And after all those weeks, you finally did.
Daryl looked at you through his sweaty locks, his eyes dark and watery with frustration, his eyebrows twitch downwards when he saw you, he saw the fear and concern on your face and all of it was too much, he had to look away or he was gonna throw up from anxiety.
It was torture for Daryl, knowing you were frightened, knowing all of this before him was his fault.
When that asshole, Negan, stuck that damn bat in your face is when he lost all control of himself. Daryl jumped up and smashed his fist into Negan’s jaw, then trying to take further steps to tackle him but he was grabbed and pushed to the ground like a wild fucking animal.
He grunted and squirmed as his hair was pulled, he could hear you crying for them to stop.
“Get off of him! Get off! Daryl, get up!”
Fuck, he was trying to.
Eventually he was dragged back to his place in the line.
He wanted to look over to you but he was so fucking scared now, his heart was beating way too fast and his head was spinning.
He stole a short glance your way and he saw your hands covering your face, palms pushing into your eyes as you choked on your sobs.
He’d done this to you.
You would never forgive him for this.
Daryl just had to sit there, bleeding out from his shoulder as Negan battered members of his family before his eyes, he was sure he’d been the cause for the second death, Glenn. Maybe if he’d just stay put, he could’ve stopped that, he should’ve listened.
“No exceptions”
But he didn’t and it was his fault, he’d have to leave his family, they would never allow for someone like him to live with them now.
Turns out, that was the one thing he didn’t need to worry about, as he was stuffed straight back into the van, apparently Negan wanted to keep him.
Daryl doesn’t know how long he was in that cell for, it felt like years and all he could do was think of you. He was so fucking sorry and he knew he’d never get the chance to make it up to you and even if he did, you wouldn’t want to hear it. Rick wouldn’t want him back in the group but Daryl couldn’t stay here, he’d have to get out and survive on his own, completely.
With some help from one of ‘Negan’s wives’, Daryl escaped, however, his plan of escaping and surviving alone dissipated once he saw Jesus stood in front of him.
He’d come to get him out.
They wanted him back?
Back home?
Surely not.
The journey to hilltop was a fever dream, Daryl was unbelievably anxious, his breaths short, causing Jesus to keep checking on him to which Daryl didn’t reply to. In fact Daryl hadn’t opened his mouth the entire time.
As soon as they arrived at the gates, he could feel his throat closing up.
Were you here? Did you even want to see him? Probably not.
As the gates opened, Daryl kept his head down, following behind Jesus toward one of the medical trailers.
But then he heard his name.
“Daryl?… Daryl?!”
Daryl’s head slowly lifted to the direction of the voice, your voice. You were speed walking, no, now you were running toward him. You slung your arms around him, burying your face into his neck as you cried with… relief.
“You’re here, you’re back, you’re safe… safe now… I’m sorry, I love you so much, Daryl”
Daryl stood as still as stone. You were sorry? He should be the one apologising. You’re glad he’s back? You love him? You still love him.
His heart clenches at the thought.
He feels you pull away, your soft hands holding the sides of his face as your beautiful sparkly eyes look into his own. God he doesn’t deserve this.
“Are you okay, sweetheart?”
Suddenly it all seems to sink in and tears are blurring his vision as he shakes his head slightly, no.
“It’s gonna be okay now, you’re here with me now”
He could feel the life flooding back into him, pushing his face into the crook of your neck as he completely breaks down, hiding his face from the world as he lets out loud, uncontrolled sobs into the fabric of your shirt.
“M-M’s-sorry…. M’so-orry… L-love you so m-much…”
You gently rub his back to soothe him, now realising that your sweet man had blamed himself for everything that had happened.
“Ssshh it’s not your fault… let’s get you inside”
You feel him nod ever so slightly and then you lead him towards barrington house, all whilst trying to stay away from prying eyes of the community.
“I’m so glad you’re home, Daryl”
He didn’t reply with words but agreed internally, however, he meant it differently. It didn’t matter where he was, wherever you were was home and he’s so relieved to still have that.
This is so badly written, I’m sorry! But Tysm for the prompt! This was pretty fun to write.
Joel was acting like nothing was wrong.
Which wasn't exactly anything new, really. Ever since you knew the man, he always had this rough exterior, that ‘do not fuck with me’ aura around him, and was never, ever, one for showing emotions.
Back in the QZ, when he and Tess sometimes let you hang along with them to get a job done or sneak into the restricted territory, you saw how he burst, pent-up and concealed emotions spilling out of him at long last when something went horribly wrong. He had never aimed his yells at you, though, even when it was clearly your fault that someone noticed you or you fucked up your part of the job.
Just like today. You weren't exactly to blame this time – something heavy fell over around the corner of the building you were sneaking by, and the thug looking for you three spotted you as you were ducking behind a car. Shit like that often happened when you had to work in the ruins of the old world.
Then you got separated from Ellie and Joel when the gang shot at you. All of you saw before that the street was blocked and you were practically surrounded. You barked at the pair to get out of here and that you’ll join them later, and ran in the direction of the ravaged stores, hoping to find a way around the blockade.
You remembered bullets firing at you and missing your head by centimeters. You remembered shooting and killing some of the guys chasing you, then screaming when you bumped into one of them and they grabbed you. The kicks to your stomach, the struggle, some nasty comments made by the thugs before you managed to stab one of them through the cheek. You remembered faces contorted in fury and a man lifting a gun to your head.
In that brief moment, you were glad it was you who was about to die. Better you than–
The man who was about to shoot you dropped his pistol after a loud bang pierced the air and he fell to the ground, dead. Others were soon to follow, too slow in drawing their own guns. It was Joel, of course, all bloodied and livid, blasting a head after head of the guys who were trying to hurt you. You were pinned face down to the floor and couldn’t do anything but watch as he fought them with only his knife and bare hands, as the corridor he was in was too narrow to make use of the gun without it catching on a wall or his clothes. You struggled and tried to break free, unable to bear the sight of the men’s blood mixing with his own from the growing number of cuts on his skin.
The thug holding you down apparently decided to finish you off, but didn’t have a chance before Joel tackled him to the ground, receiving another long gash below his ribs. For one terrifying moment you were sure he was stabbed in the chest and your whole world stopped. But the grunts and curses coming from the spot where Joel was knocked down on the ground quickly told you that he was fine.
You saved Joel just in time, driving a sharp shard of metal into his attacker's neck. After that the older man quickly looked you over, asking if you were hurt, and when you told him no, he grabbed your arm and led you to where Ellie was waiting.
All of you managed to get out and it didn’t seem like the gang was following you anymore. Excluding a couple of cuts and scrapes you all were fine and alive, which had to be a goddamn miracle.
That didn’t mean you weren’t absolutely furious.
Joel knew it and you suspected that’s why he was so insistent about walking in total silence, sending you and Ellie angry glares every time either of you opened your mouth. You were shooting daggers at his back as he walked in the front and even Ellie had to sense the tense atmosphere, for she was unusually quiet.
You knew Joel Miller was a protector at heart. That, among other things, was what made you care for him more than anyone else in your life, more than you’d care for a companion or even a friend. His caring, gentle nature hidden from the world under the rough exterior was what ultimately made you fall for him.
But no matter how attractive and admirable you found him, it drove you up the fucking wall that he never listened to you, never let you do anything even slightly risky or dangerous, like he always expected you to mess up. He didn’t even want you to sneak outside the QZ with him and Tess, and it was the other woman who finally convinced him.
You hated the thought that he might see you as a daughter, or worse - a burden. But the age gap between you two seemed bigger and bigger every time he did something like that, going after you because he didn’t trust you to get the job done.
And you hated it.
Only when the place you’ll spend the night in was picked and Joel took off his backpack with a wince of pain, you marched over to him and shoved his chest in frustration. Even though he was tired and hurt, he still towered over you and was much heavier, which made taking your anger out on him extremely difficult.
“The hell you're doing?” he asked incredulously, looking almost surprised at the fury painting your face.
“Don’t you ever think about doing something like that again, Joel!” you yelled at him, knowing you’re too far for any unwanted ears to hear you screaming. “I fucking told you to take Ellie and run! Why the hell did you come back?!”
“You’d prefer me to leave you behind and let those bastards do whatever sick things they wanted to do? A ‘thank you’ would be nice.”
Okay, now you were seething. You clenched your jaw and pushed him again, feeling honestly so fed up with his bullshit.
“Why don’t you ever listen to me?! You almost fucking died, not to mention you put Ellie in danger, too!”
“Hey, I was safe!” Ellie chimed in, straightening from the place she was sitting in on her sleeping bag. “And there wasn’t actually–”
“Ellie,” Joel cut her short harshly, making it clear it’s not the time for her usual sarcasm. She rolled her eyes and muttered something about grumpy old men, turning their back to them.
You huffed and turned around, going deeper into the woods. Joel said your name but when you didn’t react he went after you with long strides, grabbing your arm and halting you.
“Will you tell me what’s going on?”
“You know damn well what’s going on!” You yanked your arm out of his grasp. “I told you to go and you didn’t listen, like always, and probably had to hack your way through the whole group of these idiots just to almost get yourself killed because of me!”
“Did you really expect me to leave you behind?” he asked with his voice raised.
“Yes! At that moment it wasn’t about me, I was thinking about Ellie and you! She’s way more important than I am! You’re more important!”
“Don’t you dare say somethin–”
“Do you think I’d be able to take Ellie across the country without getting any of us killed?!” You threw your hand to the side, huffing with anger. “I don’t have your skills and experience. You’re the only one able to handle it on your own, so if any of us is to die, it will be me, no questions asked.”
“Like hell it’ll be you!” He was seething now, too, and he came up to you in two long, angry strides, stopping just before he could stomp on your shoes. Suddenly you two were so close that you could feel his breath on your face. “I am not fucking letting you get yourself killed! Not now and not ever.”
“Can’t you just think logically for a second?!” you shouted in his face, tears of rage and helplessness gathering in your eyes. “I’m a goddamn burden to you both! Yes, it was me who alerted them of our presence and I understand that’s probably why you never trusted me…” Actually saying those words out loud was more painful than you anticipated and you had to take a deep breath to calm yourself down. “It’s just, I can’t fight like you can, I’m not as valuable as Ellie, I…”
You had to press your lips together not to sob accidentally. Although you knew you had to make your point across, you still didn’t want Joel to see how weak you actually are.
“But I’m not fucking useless, understand?” you said sternly, looking him dead in the eyes. “I am gonna help you both go as far as possible, but if we’re ever in that kind of situation again, you’re leaving me behind and I’m buying you and Ellie as much time as I can.”
His expression hardened and he started to shake his head, but you beat him to it.
“I know you never wanted me to go on any missions with you, but just once let me be useful, alright? Even if all I can do is buy you a couple of precious minutes.”
“By letting yourself die.”
He said it with such finality and disbelief, all your anger got swept off and replaced by weariness. You sighed heavily and leaned against a tree.
“Yes, Joel. I know you’d rather not lose anyone else, but if I have a chance to help those I care about…” You realized you said too much and shook your head. “I don’t understand why it is such a big deal for you.”
He opened his mouth, then closed it again. His warm brown eyes were on you and for the first time ever you wished he'd look away. You turned your head and sighed again.
God, you were so very tired.
“I’m going to look for some firewood. You go check if the place is safe, alright?”
“No, listen–”
“Just this once, Joel,” you cut him off, not turning around. The tears that have gathered in your eyes before were threatening to spill down your cheeks and you weren’t going to show him how much this situation has pained you. “Just this once, drop it. Please.”
This time he didn’t stop you when you wandered further away from the camp and you truthfully didn’t know if it was better or worse.
*****
The rest of the evening went by mostly in silence. Ellie tried to lighten up the mood by reading some bad jokes from her book and though Joel was his usual grumpy self, it actually helped you a little. The girl seemed pretty proud of herself about making you crack a smile, but her efforts to bring Joel into the conversation came to naught. The smile disappeared from your face every time your eyes met and he looked away.
He almost didn’t say a word throughout your meal and preparing for bed, only muttering something under his breath when Ellie told you both goodnight. You were so tired that you managed to fall asleep almost immediately despite the worry and sadness gnawing at you when your thoughts drifted to the man laying on the opposite side of the fire.
When you opened your eyes again, the dawn was only just breaking. The air was cold and crisp, and you groaned, shivering and pulling your coat tighter around yourself, only to realize something else was draped over your form.
You rubbed your eyes and noticed the familiar green jacket covering your torso. Its owner was a couple of feet away, sitting with his back to you on a big log. The rifle lay next to him, propped up against the fallen tree. Your shoulders slumped at the sight of him and you remembered your argument from last night. You almost laid back down, but ignoring his act of kindness felt wrong, so with a quiet sigh you stood up, making your way to where he was sitting.
Joel glanced to the side when you approached and his gaze was instantly drawn to his jacket you wrapped around yourself.
“You were shivering,” he muttered, apparently knowing what you were about to ask. He said it as if giving you his jacket was the most sensible thing to do in a situation like that.
Was that an attempt to say he’s sorry for how he reacted earlier? You decided not to question his intentions too much and instead sat down next to him, nailing your eyes on the patch of recently disturbed ground.
“Thanks,” you replied under your breath, still not looking at the man. “But you didn’t have to. You’re probably cold now.”
“M’not.”
Liar. Stubborn as always.
None of you said anything else for a long time. You contemplated whether you should just go back to your sleeping bag and leave his jacket on the log, or stay and try to defuse the tension between you two. Somehow neither of these options appealed to you but it was so difficult to just sit here in silence and–
“I’ve been thinkin' about what you said,” Joel spoke up suddenly and very quietly, which interrupted your dwelling. “And I couldn’t stop remembering how damn sure you sounded when you said I don’t trust you.”
A wave of uneasiness washed over you and you wrapped his jacket tighter around yourself. “It’s okay that you don’t,” you said slowly, not really sure what he was getting at. “I mean, I’m not sure if even I would trust my–”
“That’s the thing,” he interrupted you with an irritated sigh and turned his head to look at you with his brows furrowed. “I do trust you. I just have no clue how…” Another sigh. “How I could’ve fucked up so badly that you’d think that.”
You blinked several times, not sure if you weren’t still dreaming after all. It kind of felt like a dream when he was sitting so close to you, his jacket around your shoulders and a rising sun painting his hair in a golden light.
“But you never let me do anything important or dangerous on my own,” you contradicted quietly, which caused Joel to drop his head loosely and close his eyes. “You’re always against taking me with you anywhere, and–”
“That’s because you’re important to me!” he cut you off, evidently louder than he intended, because he immediately glanced at you and rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Sorry,” he muttered. “It’s just hard for me to understand how… how did…”
Joel seemed at a loss for words and you longed to touch him, to take the burden of carrying the conversation from his shoulders and ease the weariness on his face, but you weren't really sure what he intended to say. You didn’t want to get your hopes up, but it almost sounded like…
“I can’t bear the thought of losing you,” he said softly at last and you could pinpoint the exact moment you stopped breathing. Joel’s eyes were closed and he was propping his forehead on his hand, and he looked so… sad. “That’s why I never wanted you to take any risk, because if something happened to you and I weren’t there to protect you…”
He swallowed heavily, inhaled, then straightened up and looked over at you. The look he gave you was so tender and open, it was almost difficult to focus on his words.
“I care about you, too,” he whispered, and you remembered what slipped out of your mouth when you were arguing earlier. “A lot. Much more than I should, but I can’t… I can’t help it.” He turned to look forward, his eyes narrowing from the sunlight creeping from between the trees, and he looked so beautiful in that moment, you wished you had a camera on hand.
“Joel,” you breathed, but he shook his head.
“I didn’t want to make shit weird between… us.” He waved his hand in a vague gesture. “So don’t feel pressured into sayin’ anything. Just don’t expect me to idly stand by while you’re risking your life because–”
“Joel,” you repeated, louder this time, which finally made him shut up.
“What?”
You didn’t really know what you were going to say. You just wanted him to stop talking because he was only torturing himself with this ramble and you couldn’t bear it.
Very slowly, and very gently, you took Joel’s hand in your own and moved it over to your lap. Ignoring his eyes on you, you traced the length of his calloused fingers and brushed the center of the palm where a cut from a couple of days ago was still healing. Your heart was beating so damn loud in your ears, you wouldn’t hear if a parade of clickers just walked past you both, but with all your might you tried to keep your breathing steady and your face from going beet red.
He said you were important to him. That he couldn’t bear the thought of losing you. He didn’t see you as a burden as you feared, so maybe… maybe he didn’t view you as a kid, as well.
Throwing all caution to the wind, you laced your fingers together and brought them to your lips, leaving a small kiss on his bloodied knuckles. Joel tensed in a split second and you weren't sure if he was still breathing, but you didn’t look at him in fear that his expression may take away the remnants of your temporary courage.
“If I misread you, this is gonna be painfully awkward,” you mumbled in a feeble attempt to defuse the tension in the air, so thick it was almost choking you. “But I’m still grateful you told me all thi–”
His other hand – the same hand he was ready to kill and protect with, with which he was ready to tear his way through the mass of enemies just to save you – lifted itself to your face and cupped your cheek. Joel was looking at you with wonder, the fingers you cradled in your own twitching slightly as if he was holding back from tightening his hold. His eyes seemed like they were made out of liquid gold in the light of the morning sun and he looked at you with such adoration that you once again humored the thought that it was just all some cruel, vivid dream.
But no, it couldn’t have been. Not when Joel’s skin was so cold against your burning face and not when his eyes flickered to your lips…
It was you who leaned in first, but once your lips touched, Joel took the reins, untangling his fingers from yours to wrap his arm around your waist and pull you closer.
You expected him to be rough and confident, just like he was during a fight, to take what he wanted and devour you – at least that’s how you always imagined kissing him would be like. What you didn’t expect, however, was a trembling sigh that escaped him when you two parted for a moment to take a breath and a gentle touch of his fingertips along your jaw. His hold on your body was by turns firmer and more loose, like he was afraid he’d scare you off if he let himself use too much strength.
You, on the other hand, had no reservations in taking his face in your hands firmly and parting your lips, encouraging him to go on. It seemed to work at first, because Joel pulled you in even closer, letting you crawl onto his lap, but then he stopped abruptly and moved you gently away, still keeping his hands on both sides of your face.
“Darlin’, I need to know if you’re sure about this, because I won’t be able to…”
You pressed your lips to his again, this time much slower and more delicate, in an attempt to silence him. Joel finally relaxed when you cupped his face and planted a kiss on his brow, always so furrowed in concern and worry.
“Joel, I wanted you to kiss me for the whole time I knew you. I really, really care about your bullheaded skull.” You looked down at him with a playful smile, to which he chuckled. “Though you’re shit at sending signals. I was sure you hated me.”
“Well, you are hard to deal with sometimes,” he mused in a teasing tone and you jabbed him in the stomach before he managed to grab your wrist. “But I… I'm sorry that I made you feel this way. Like you didn’t matter to me.”
You furrowed your brows at the uncharacteristic vulnerability and sadness in his voice and your worry must’ve etched itself in your eyes because when Joel looked at you, he turned away and closed his eyes immediately.
“Listen, you know now you matter to me more than anyone else in this cursed world. I don’t want to ever be as worried sick about you like I was yesterday,” he whispered. You brushed some hair off his face and the creases on his forehead softened a little. “And I don’t ever want you to think you’re not important. You’re… fuck, you’re the goddamn reason I’m doing all this. You're my reason, you hear me?”
You just nodded with a wide smile that threatened to split your face in half.
“I understand,” you answered, just as quietly. “You’re also the reason I’m doing all of this for.”
This time it was unclear who initiated the kiss. Nevertheless, you ended up held tightly in his arms, marveling at his touch on your skin and the feeling of his chapped lips on yours, and there wasn’t any other place you wished to be in.
It lasted just a couple of seconds though, because you were interrupted by the sound of fake barfing and gurgles of disgust coming from the direction of your camp.
“Gross!” yelled Ellie loudly, but she had a shit-eating grin on her face when she squinted at Joel holding you in his lap. “Don’t suck faces when there are children present!”
“Shut up!” Joel yelled back, but without any bite in his tone. A soft smile played on his lips when he looked back at you. “She’ll be insufferable now,” he murmured and you snorted at how done he sounded. He mirrored your expression and held your hand to his face to kiss your fingers tenderly, which made Ellie gag even louder.
“If you start making out in front of me, I won’t hesitate to throw a fucking sandwich at you!”
“She won’t,” muttered Joel, not even turning to the teen before he leaned in and kissed you slowly again.
You smiled into the kiss, barely noticing stale pieces of bread flying over Joel’s shoulder.
Neil was running through the empty streets when the first snowflake landed on him. He tilted his head back, taking a deep breath in, and watched as the fog formed when he exhaled. The morning was cold and peaceful, without a soul in sight. He closed his eyes and thought about the warm bed and Andrew who was still sound asleep. He thought of Jean who was probably already up and making the breakfast for them.
He thought about what they were going to do during the day. Andrew would wake up and complain about the cold. They would eat and go out. Jean and Neil would drink tea and Andrew hot chocolate. He would taste sweet when they kissed afterward. Andrew would drive them around and they would call Kevin. They still weren’t used to traveling anywhere without him but he insisted they should go since he was trying to spend more time with Wymack. ****************************************************
“Just how stupid are you, Josten?” Jean said the moment he heard the front door open. “Did you not realize how cold it was outside, or did you acknowledge it and just decided to ignore it?” he continued, turning around to look at Neil who had just walked into the kitchen, wearing nothing but a hoodie and sweatpants.
“I needed some fresh air.”
Jean looked him up and down, before softening his voice, “You should have woken me up to go with you, you know I don’t mind.”
“Oh sure you don’t,” Neil laughed walking over to him, “But you just love to complain after. Besides, I wouldn’t want you risking getting sick.”
“Is that because you suck at making soup, or because Kevin would kill you?”
“Oh let’s not get into details,” Neil tried to sound annoyed, but his eyes were filled with an entirely different emotion as he got closer, looking up at him until Jean was bending down, and letting Neil give him a quick kiss.
“Drew still asleep?”
“Yeah, you should go check on him though, he is going to suffocate under all those covers.”
****************************************************
Andrew was curled into himself, his figure barely visible with all the pillows and heavy blankets.
“Jean is afraid you might suffocate under all that,” Neil whispered, sitting at the edge of the bed.
Andrew’s arm emerged from under the covers and wrapped around Neil’s wrist, pulling him closer.
“Better this than suffocating in the cold,” he said, eyeing Neil carefully. “At least wear something warmer.”
“Worried about me?” Neil smiled, leaning in.
“Fuck you,” Andrew muttered, closing the distance between them with a kiss.
****************************************************
“Stop running,” Jean yelled after Neil.
They were running round the park, despite it being so late at night. They could scarcely see each other under the street lamp that barely gave out any light.
Earlier that day Neil had asked them to play in the snow, but of course, he knew that Andrew would just roll his eyes at that. That meant that his only other option was Jean who wasn’t particularly fond of snow but was very fond of the blue-eyed boy who had kindly asked them, and he just didn’t know how to tell him no. That was a big mistake.
“Your problem for not being able to keep up,” Neil said, stopping suddenly and causing Jean to crush into him, almost falling on his ass.
He grabbed a hold of Neil’s arm to keep him in place, “Can you please stop running away, I can hardly see you.”
“Really? You threw a snowball directly at my face!”
“Not on purpose,” He whispered, “It’s so dark and I couldn’t see properly. I’m sorry,” he continued, standing up to his full height, wrapping his arms around Neil and kissing the top of his head. ”I’ll be more careful next time. Forgive me?”
“Oh don’t try to sweet talk me,” Neil started, but before he could say anything else, a shiver ran down his spine and he yelped as Jean showed a handful of snow down his jacket, laughing as he did so.
“Oh you will pay for that,” Neil said, grabbing Jean around the waist and tackling him. They both hit the ground hard. Jean groaned when Neil climbed on top of him, settling himself on his lap.
“So fucking tall,” Neil mumbled as he leaned down to kiss each of his cheeks. His nose was so red and Neil couldn’t resist giving it a little peck before taking his face between his hands and kissing him senselessly.
Jean smiled as he deepened the kiss, pulling him impossibly close. When Neil finally pulled away, they were both breathing heavily and holding tightly onto each other.
“You know, as much as I’m enjoying this, I do think we should head back if we don’t want to get hypothermia.”
Neil giggled, letting Jean pull them both off the ground.
“Oh, Andrew would actually kill us if we did.”
They were still giggling and as they made their way down the street, hand in hand, their fingers intertwined.
❝ Taking Care ❞
pairing Shane Walsh x f!Reader
cw guns, mild swearing, typical twd violence, injuries
2.5k words
note okay wow, writing shane was lowkey kinda difficult hahahaha, but i tried my best! although i'm not sure if i like this or not... either way, i really hope i fulfilled your request!!!!!
“If this is someone’s stuff, we should at least leave them some.”
“We need this more than they do. ‘M sure they don’t have a baby or are tryna gear up for a damn war.” The two men continued to ransack your sad excuse of a camp. Guns, knives, canned foods, all gone, shoved into their own bags. You watched them as they continued to rummage through your stuff. You knew you should confront them, but you’ve seen how scary people have become and didn’t want to leave the safety of the tree you were hiding behind.
“Think there’s anythin’ good in that car?”
“Maybe we should jus’ take the whole car.”
You couldn’t just sit by and let them take everything you risked your life to accumulate. Even though your heart was beating a thousand miles a minute and your entire body shook with nerves, you removed the safety off your pistol and stepped out from behind the tree, pointing your weapon at the curly-haired man.
“S-stop stealin’ my stuff!” You ordered, although it sounded more like you were begging.
The men stopped and turned to look at you. They stood with confidence and clearly weren’t afraid of you. That made you even more nervous. The man you had your gun aimed at slowly put his backpack full of your stuff down before raising his arms up in surrender. His partner, however, reached for his own gun.
"Don't!" you shouted, turning your gun on him instead.
"We don't mean any harm, we just saw stuff, so we took stuff," the blue eyed man said. There was something about the way he spoke. Fearless, authoritative. It sent nervous chills down your spine.
"Yeah, so why don't you put down the gun, darlin'," his partner said. His unflinching stance and muscular body gave you the impression that he wasn't one to mess with.
"Tell your friend to put down my stuff and maybe I'll consider it," you bargained.
The man smirked, clearly not taking you seriously. It pissed you off.
"Do ya even know how to use that thing?" Now you were really pissed. You moved your finger to the trigger to fire a warning shot, but the man was on top of you instantly, tackling you to the ground. He grabbed the wrist of your hand containing the gun and slammed it against the ground until you dropped it, ignoring the way you screamed and writhed against him, trying to fight him off. With your gun now in his hold, he shoved it into your temple.
"Shane, wai—"
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't end your fucking life right now," he demanded, cutting his partner off.
You sent a nasty glare his way, but when he didn't relent, you knew he was serious about killing you. You didn't want to show the men any fear, but you couldn't help the way your heart raced or how your eyes burned with tears.
"You said," you swallowed nervously, "You said you have a baby, right? I-I can help! I was a nanny before the world fell. I know how to take care of babies and kids."
He pondered over your words for a moment before clicking the safety back on and yanking you up from the ground.
"I think we should take her back, Rick," the man whose name you learned was Shane said.
The other man, Rick put his hands on his hips before running a hand over his face in thought.
"We already have people back at the prison who take care of Judith. If we take her that's just another mouth to feed," Rick argued.
Prison? Did they have some sort of camp? Having a stable home sounded better than living out of your car and sleeping in a tent.
"Do any of your people know baby first aid and CPR?" you asked. Now you wanted to convince them to bring you back with them. Anything seemed better than what you currently had going on.
Rick and Shane stepped off to the side for a moment, talking in hushed whispers you could barely make out.
"How many walkers have you killed?" Rick asked as they two approached you again.
"I dunno, a lot?" you replied, confused at the question.
"How many people have you killed?"
You sighed, getting tired of his silly interrogation. "Um, two."
"Why?"
This man was really nosey. "Cause they were bit." That's all the detail you were willing to give the man, but he seemed to accept it anyway.
"Fine. We can bring her back," Rick finally agreed. Shane grabbed your upper arm and leaned down to your ear. "If I even think you're gonna try some funny shit, I will kill you." You nodded nervously before snatching your arm from his grasp.
You helped the men load the rest of your stuff into their car -this time you were okay with them taking your stuff since you'd be going back with them- and got into the backseat of their green car.
When you arrived at the prison and saw that it was actually a prison, you were actually a bit shocked, but you didn't complain. Shelter was shelter and having it was better than not. You followed the men inside, curiously looking around as you did so. An elderly man and a young girl holding a baby sat at a table in the area before the cells. Their guards immediately went up when they saw you walk in behind Rick and Shane.
"Who's this?" the man asked.
"This is...uh," Shane trailed off, not knowing your name, so you quickly told him.
"We found her in the woods. Said she was a nanny, so we brought her back to help out with Judith," he explained as the girl handed him the baby. He smiled down at the baby girl in his arms before pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
"Hello, nice to meet y'all," you greeted. They both seemed apprehensive, but returned your greeting nonetheless.
"And nice to meet you!" you said in a quieter, higher pitched voice to the baby in Shane's arms. She couldn't have been more than a few months. It felt strange seeing a baby so young in the middle of the apocalypse. You assumed Shane was the father, considering how he was the one cradling the infant in his arms and not Rick. But who was the mother? You glanced up at the girl. She seemed way too young to be having a baby with Shane.
Her blue eyes met yours. "Oh, um, I'm not her mother," she explained. You could tell by everybody's body language that you shouldn't ask who is, so you kept quiet.
"Can I hold her?" you asked Shane.
He looked at you for a moment, deciding if he wanted to trust you to hold her just yet. He gently placed Judith into your arms, his warm hands brushing yours in the process.
"Hi, baby!" you cooed, overtaken by her cuteness "aren't you jus' the cutest lil' thing!" She just looked at you, not a thought behind her eyes. You couldn't help the way your face split into a gigantic smile. You glanced up at Shane, but he was already looking at you with a ghost of a smile on his face and eyes less cold than they were earlier. You handed him back the baby and he handed it back to the girl before motioning for you to follow him.
He led you through the prison, to a cell you'd be staying in. When the other members of his group saw you and demanded answers, with authority present in his tone, Shane told them you were here for his daughter and here to stay, leaving no room for questions. Even if they didn't seem to agree with his choice, they didn't say anything. You sat on your cot. It wasn't the most comfortable, but it was heaven compared to the dirt.
"Thanks for bringing me here," you said looking down at your shoes.
"Better uphold your end of the deal or else I'll turn you loose and leave you for dead."
What a warm welcome.
In the week or so that passed, everyone started to warm up to you, especially Shane. At first, you suspected he was hovering because he didn't fully trust you with Judith, but when he hung around you, even during the times you were without Judith, you started to suspect he liked being in your company. And his wasn’t that bad either.
“Hey there,” you greeted as you approached him with baby Judith in your arms. He stood in the watchtower, having been in there keeping watch the night before. The bright, early morning sun shone on him, making his brown eyes glow. He smiled happily at his daughter before smiling at you too.
“What’re y’all doin’ up so early?” He asked, taking Judith from you and cradling her in his arms.
“The little one was hungry, had to get up and feed her.”
“Have you eaten yet?” He asked you. You nodded your head.
“Why don’t you go get yourself somethin’ to eat?” His voice was laced with genuine care, which shocked you. He hasn’t shown too much care for anyone in the short time you’ve been here.
“What about you, you’ve been up here all nigh. Surely you’re hungry?” He handed you Judith and turned you around, gently nudging you toward the exit.
“Mornin’, Beth,” you said cheerly as you helped yourself to a granola bar. You though about it for a second before grabbing one for Shane too.
“Hey,” she replied.
“Do you mind watching Judith for a bit? Gotta do somethin’ real quick?” She agreed and happily took the baby in her arms.
You hurried back to the watch tower and thankfully, Shane was still in there.
“What’re you doin’ back in here? Thought I told you to go eat?”
“You’re not the boss of me,” you teased as you tossed him the granola bar. He smirked and caught the bar. You took a seat, leaning against the wall as you ate your breakfast. He looked at you as if to ask what you you were doing.
“ ‘M keepin’ you company,” you stated matter of factly. He didn’t argue with you and instead sat down next to you. You wanted to remind him that he was to be keeping watch, but decided against it, afraid it might push him away. The two of you ate in silence for a bit, too hungry to avert attention from the food.
“Judith seems to like you,” he commented.
“Well, I’d hope so, since I’m her nanny,” you joked. He chucked before responding. “You take such good care of her.”
You smiled at him. “Least I could do since y’all took me in… even though you tried to rob me and threaten my life.” Despite the truth to your words, there was a joking tone to your voice. He looked a bit guilty.
“We were just,” he took a moment to gather his words, “I had to-”
“’S fine, I get it,” you said, slightly relieving him of his guilt. “I’ve had to do some things I didn’t wanna to survive.”
“Haven’t we all.” You were grateful that he didn’t try to pry too much into your life, but you wouldn’t have minded sharing had he asked anyway. You rested your head on his shoulder -much like you did to your friends before the dead started rising- and he let you stay there.
“I better get back to Judith,” you said after a few minutes.
“And I gotta change shifts.” The two of you parted ways, but not before he thanked you for the granola bar.
You found Beth again. She was in a cell with Maggie who was feeding Judith. She handed you the baby and her bottle so you could take over feeding her. The sisters said their goodbyes before leaving the cell, leaving you and Judith behind. She was almost done with the bottle before you heard the faint sound of gunshots. You tensed up, clutching Judith close to you.The gunshots picked up, making you wonder if you should go and see what’s going on. You looked down at the baby dozing off in your arms. You couldn’t just leave her in here alone. The prison was virtually empty with nobody else to watch her. You chose to stay, even though the guilt of doing nothing ate away at you.
After what felt like forever, the shooting finally stopped. You breathed a sigh of relief. Loud footsteps rapidly approached before Shane appeared in the doorway. He was sweaty, out of breath, and clutching his side.
“Came to check on you two, everything alright?” He asked, worriedly.
“Yeah, she’s fine, everything’s fine,” you replied, eager to ask what it was that happened.
“Are you alright?” Concern flashed in his eyes.
You nodded. “What happened out there? Is everyone okay?”
“It was the Governor, killed one of the prisoners and tried to take out everyone else too.”
You looked away from his eyes and down to the hand clutching his side. Blood was starting to leak between his fingers. Your heart dropped.
“Shane, did you get shot?” You asked sternly, hoping he wouldn’t lie.
“Just a graze, I’ll be fine.” You put a sleeping Judith in her crib before approaching the man.
“Lemme patch you up.”
“It’s just a graze,” he insisted.
You sighed and looked up at him which forced him to look at you. “I know you just brought me here to take care of Judith, but I wanna take care of you too.” He let out a sigh and finally relented. You smiled up at him before scurrying off to fetch some medical supplies.
When you came back, he was sitting on the cot, still clutching his wound with a pained look on his face. When he heard you come in, he sat up straighter and put that stoic look back on his face.
“You don’t have to act all tough for me,” you teased. You doused a towel with some rubbing alcohol before kneeling in front of him. He couldn’t look you in the eyes as he lifted his shirt to give you access to the wound. It seemed to have stop bleeding, so you gently cleaned the wound before putting a bandage on it.
“See, really wasn’t that big a deal,” he said with a teasing smirk on his face.
“Still had me worried, though.” You stood up and tidied the mess of medical supplies.
“Don’t gotta worry ‘bout me, I can handle it.”
You knew he could, but the thought of losing him scared you. You leaned down and pressed a tender kiss to his cheek.
“Just don’t want Judith losin’ her daddy is all.” He sighed and looked up to the ceiling in thought.
“Thank you,” he said.
“No problem.”
“No, not just for this. For taking care of Judith and for taking care of me.” You sat beside him and slipped your hand through his.
“Always.”
You asked for it (Capitano)
!!SMUT UNDER THE CUT!!
Virgin nb reader, aphrodisiac, oral (receiving), slight mention of overstim, possessiveness
You wanted nothing more than to tease the high ranking man known as ‘The Captain’. His arrogance made you want to catch him off-guard for starters. Scaring him from around the corner in the quarters, electrocuting him when you’re alone, sometimes even tackling him to the ground. And all of that was to get at least a tiny reaction, a gasp, a groan, a flinch. Yet, nothing of the sort was released. The masked man was as stoic and as rigid as ever.
“Come on, it can’t be that hard!” You kept telling yourself. “This is just try #13604! I can do it! That scum won’t be so confident soon!” You were once again heading up to his room. You were sure he was in a meeting at this time. So sure that you didn’t even need to get a second glance at the schedule assigned to him. It was just a perk as his assistant.
You were searching for a little something as blackmail. You had no idea where to start, as his room was filled with storage units and whatnot. Upon entering his room, a lovely scent hit your nostrils, making you feel slightly tired. But who were you to give up? Despite the comforting incense and luxurious decorations, you still wanted to get a reaction from the harbinger.
Starting with his wardrobe. Stepping around the king-sized bed, you opened the dark wardrobe littered with silver accents. Suits and tuxes were hanged up, complete by the few sets of shoes underneath them. You took a closer look inside pockets, unopened boxes and even shoes. To no one’s surprise, there wasn’t anything blackmail worth.
Checking his bookshelves, desk drawers and other places, the only place left was the walk-in closet next to the bathroom. Not wanting to risk anything, you gently opened to closet door and peeked inside. Your eyes were met with darkness. A rather good sign, to be honest. You pushed the light switch to turn on the lights. Seems like the coast is clear. You went inside and started checking out his clothes. Some were designer, some weren’t. Some were ripped and others were polished. Quite bipolar, but it gives him some personality. It’s good to see that at least his clothes were like any other person’s. Yet, this still wasn’t what you were looking for.
It’s getting quite hot in this room. You turned on the AC, hoping to cool off a bit. Does warmth help keep clothes clean? I think I should probably do some research or my own... You deadpanned. A wonderful scent filled the room, making you almost unable to stand. You sat down on the soft cushioned chair in the middle of the room, sweat beads rolling down your skin. “So hot...” You mumbled out, fumbling with the hem of your shirt. You debated on taking your shirt off, still thinking of all the possibilities. Still, not wanting to suffer overheating, you lifted the shirt up and threw it to a far away corner.
Before the scent could shut down your senses, you hear a click and the AC shut off, making you whine at the increasing heat your body was producing. “Tried to sneak up on me again? Too bad I already knew about your plan.” You heard the deep voice from the entrance. “And you have fallen for my trap. Such a naive little thing you are...” The man chuckled, now closer than before. You could hear every step getting closer and closer to you. “I mean, you should’ve known from the start. Just when you entered. The smell, it was very little, but enough for anyone to tell it was an aphrodisiac.” You tried sitting up, only to be pushed back down.
“So hot...” You mewled, barely making any sense of the words coming out of his mouth. “Of course, any inexperienced person wouldn’t know of such things. But I, for one, thought you would back away from the scent. Now, you know that I’ve got you wrapped around my finger.” Little did you know, some of your attempts at teasing him made his face flush or his breath hitch. This time, the temptation was too much to let you go. Seeing you squirm under his gaze, incoherent words spill from your mouth. “Now all you need to do for me is relax.”
The much bigger man backed away, waiting for your invitation. “Please,” you quietly begged, pulling your waistband down. You struggled a bit, twisting and turning before you finally got rid of all the clothing articles on your body. “Very well.” The Captain made his way over to you, kneeling in front of you and spreading your legs apart. He got a good look at your glistening intimates, feeling mesmerized by the mere sight of it. You squirmed a bit at his breath hitting the sensitive organ.
Capitano then let go of your thighs for a moment, unclipping his mask and putting it to the side. His beautiful eyes gazed up at your face as he kissed and licked your inner thighs, teasing you with his smirk as his mouth got closer to your core. He gazed at your eyes longingly before giving your sensitivity a thorough lick. His eyes now focused on it, hands gripping your thighs. His tongue left tiny licks, looking at the facial expressions you were making every time.
You pleaded for more of his touch until he complied, using his hand. He just looked at the way you reacted under his touch for a moment before returning his mouth to work. Capitano was licking and sucking on your most sensitive body part at this moment, making you unable to think of anything other than the pleasure, the leftover aphrodisiac in the air filling up your body.
“Come on, cum for me, you pretty little thing.” The harbinger let out a low growl which vibrated throughout your body, finally making you snap. Your body shook, tears rimming from your eyes. “Just you know, I don’t plan on stopping until you’ve passed out.” And he meant it, slowly slithering his tongue inside your hole, still stimulating you, prolonging your pleasure. You were pretty sure everyone in the quarters could hear you. Of course they could, Capitano made sure of that, leaving all the doors open.
“Won’t stop ‘till everyone knows you’re mine...”
