As someone who wants to go into sport psychology to help athletes who are struggling mentally no matter the reason, I really hope McLaren have a professional on staff for the drivers to talk to. I mean, after what happened with Daniel, it would be the right thing to do.

I don’t know Lando personally by any means and even if I did, I wouldn’t probe about whether or not he’s seeing a professional. That’s not my business nor my place to ask. I just want him to feel okay at least.

I missed the Hungarian GP but I’ve been getting bits and pieces from social media and despite the overwhelming number of people talking about how Lando getting second wasn’t really his fault, something tells me he’s having trouble believing that. Everyone knows Lando is too hard on himself. And I mean everyone.

I believe in him. I know he’s capable and everyone else knows that too, regardless of whether or not they support him. I just hope he can believe in himself like the all of his fans do.

Congratulations on your win, Oscar. You are talented and growing at a rate that I don’t think anyone really expected when you started out. If what’s being said is true, you apologized for winning (or because of the reason why you won), but it wasn’t your fault. I haven’t watched it yet, but I’m sure you had an outstanding race and you won it. It’s unfortunate that your first win came about in this way, but don’t let it diminish all the hard work you’ve put in to get to this moment.
