I've been working on them for a while and finally decided they were done! So Please allow me to introduce you to Andy, the child of Howdy's estranged sister Missya Pillar (Missy for short) and Rich Attacus.

Some fun facts about this lad:

They're half moth on their fathers side and have a habit of accidentally eating holes into their sleeves when nervous.

Andy became a butterfly at a very young age, so they cant actually use their wings for flying because they are too weak.

While they prefer they/them pronouns they would often be referred to as he/him in official pieces of media though I think they wouldn't have much merchandise. Maybe a single coloring book page.

They don't like their wings for many reasons, but people getting freaked out by them is definitely up on their list.

Only One Bed

You were out on a mission with some of the ghouls. It was taking a long time, though, and it was clear you'd all be staying overnight.

Some rooms are gotten, and everyone has to share a room. You choose to go with the ghoul you've been secretly crushing on, and when you get to your shared room, there's only one bed...

Featuring: Jiro | Towa | Alan | Lyca | Subaru

Jiro Kirisaki - You stared into the room in mild horror. Sure, you'd agreed to share a room with Jiro since Yuri had complained that having to share with anyone would disrupt him from his work, but this really wasn't what you had been expecting.

"You can just take the bed, I likely will not be sleeping." Jiro said from beside you, and you glanced up at him, noting the bags under his eyes that weren't related to his sickness.

"When's the last time you slept Jiro?" You asked him gently as you sat down onto the edge of the bed.

"A few days." He shrugged. "Yuri has been working on something and required my assistance."

You narrowed your eyes at him. Despite the awkwardness the situation presented, you didn't want to be the reason for Jiro missing out on yet another night of sleep.

"Sleep is good for your health." You huffed. He opened his mouth, likely to rattle off the benefits of sleeping that he was well aware of when you cut him off. "We can just..share...the bed.." you suggested.

He paused, and though his expression retained his usual emotionless look, he seemed to be considering what you suggested. Finally he nodded.

"If this is what you wish, then we can share."

You nodded and started to get ready for the night. By this point, you were used to changing while Jiro kept his back turned, so this is what you did before sliding into bed after turning away so Jiro could change too.

Jiro turned off the lights and slid into the bed next to you, lying stiffly on his side of the bed.

"Night, Jiro." You whispered.

"Goodnight, MC." He whispered back.

You closed your eyes and tried to sleep. It's a struggle and evades you. You shift around, thinking maybe you are just not able to get comfortable, but nothing helps.

Just as you're about to give up, an arm wraps around you and pulls you so your back is pressed against Jiro's chest.

"You're struggling to sleep. Does this help you?" Jiro whispered as he held you close. You tried to calm your racing heart, glad he couldn't see how red your face was in this light. You did find you were more comfortable like this though, the warmth of his body against yours calming your mind.

"Yeah.." You whispered in response, your eyes slipping closed. With the warmth of his body feeding into yours, you were soon lulled into sleep.

When morning came, you woke to find yourself still nestled in Jiro's arms. You carefully turned around in his arms and watched his face as he slept. His face was much more relaxed than it normally was, and it warmed your heart to see him looking so unguarded and open.

"Sleep well?" Jiro muttered as he began to wake, opening his eyes to look at you.

"Best sleep of my life." You admitted. A small smile cracked across his features.

"Perhaps it would be beneficial to do this again then. For your health of a proper sleep."

You blushed and hid your face against his side. "Yeah..for health..of course."

Towa Otonashi - "Okay, team! We've got two rooms, so we split into pairs to share the rooms!" Haru chirped happily as you all got to the cabin you were all sharing.

Before anyone could say anything, Towa gripped your arm. "Dandelion shares with me ~"

You didn't really have any objections to this, so you followed Towa to your shared room. When he opened the door, though, you paused in the doorway. There was only one bed.

Towa spun and grinned at you. "Dandelion! We get to share a bed!~" he hummed happily, beaming with delight.

You blushed at the idea of sharing with him, but you didn't really have any objections to it. You were exhausted, and you weren't going to make him sleep elsewhere because that would have just been mean.

You slipped away into the washroom to get changed, and when you came out, Towa was already sitting in the bed waiting for you.

"Dandelion!~" He called, beconing you over. You smiled and crawled into the bed. He instantly wrapped his arms around you and held you close, resting his head against your chest. "Sleepy cuddles okay, Dandelion?" He asked

You blushed and nodded, running a hand through his hair, shocked at how silky soft it was. "Yeah, this is okay."

He hummed happily and nestled closer to you, closing his eyes. You kept petting his hair until you slipped off to sleep.

When morning came, you cracked open your eyes to see Towa hovering aboe you, face inches from yours. A deep blush crossed your features. "~~~~" he hummed happily, beaming at you.

"Morning, Towa." You replied softly. He grinned and leaned in to kiss your cheek before leaping out of bed to start the day. You stared after him, a happy grin slowly spreading across your face.

If this mission took a few days, you definitely wouldn't complain.

Alan Mido - You chose to share a room with Alan. You ignored Leo's mocking as you walked off after Alan, though, when you reached the room, you nearly smacked into Alan who had frozen in the doorway.

You peered past him and saw what had made him pause. There was only one bed in the room.

"I'll just go share with Bandana and Leo." Alan muttered, turning to leave. You reached out a hand to stop him.

"Odds are their room only has one bed too, and three people sharing would just be awkward. We can just share this one." You suggested, even though your cheeks heated up at the idea.

"I don't want to hurt you." Alan replied immediately, a look of concern crossing his features.

"You won't hurt me. I promise." You assured. He still seemed hesitant, so you gently took his hand and pulled him into the room, shutting the door behind the two of you.

His shoulders slumped a bit as he gave in, though he was still clearly worried about hurting you.

You slipped off into the bathroom and got changed, slipping into bed when you were done. Alan did the same, slipping into his side of the bed, far from you as he could get.

You whispered a goodnight to him, and slipped off to sleep pretty easily.

When you woke in the morning, you were surprised to find yourself wrapped up in Alan's arms. He held you close, a protective pose as he curled around you.

You blushed and relaxed into his arms, relishing in his warmth. You knew when he woke up he'd leap away, apologizing for his actions before checking to make sure you weren't hurt. But you were happy to just enjoy the moment and see how relaxed and peaceful Alan looked.

You hoped that later, once you assured him you were fine, he'd agree to doing this again.

Lyca Colt - "That dumb Gigalo can't even get a room with two beds." Lyca huffed as he followed you into the room you'd agreed to share with him.

"Well, I'm really glad now I chose to room with you. Otherwise, I would have had to figure out how to share a bed with Rui without him accidentally killing me or have to share with Ed." You joked, trying to lighten the werewolf's mood.

Lyca glanced at you, his faze narrowing at the mention of his two housemates. "No way, I'm not letting you share with those creeps!" He pouted.

"Don't worry, you're my first choice to share a bed with." You admitted before blushing darkly at your own confession.

He didn't seem to catch onto it, though, as he stalked forward to flop onto the bed beforing eyeing you. "You coming?"

"Just let me get changed first." You called, going off to get changed. You came back when you were done and flopped down next to him.

He suddenly seemed awkward, like he was unsure what to do. "So..now what?" He finally asked.

"Now we sleep." You replied. "If you want to sleep on your side of the bed, you can... I'd be okay with cuddling, though.." you explained, whispering the last part.

He still heard you, though, and he blushed a bit before shifting closer to you, wrapping his arms around you. "This okay?" He asked, and you nodded in response. You wrapped your arms around him in turn and settled in. Sleep soon overtook you both.

When you woke in the morning, Lyca was still nestled close to you, using your chest as a pillow. You smiled and ran a hand through his hair gently. He leaned into your touch, cracking an eye open.

"Can we stay here, like this for a while?" He asked, voice husky with sleep.

"Yeah, let's stay here." You replied, content and happy.

Subaru kagami - "Ah, this is, not an ideal situation.." Subaru lamented as you followed him into the room. You were confused until you saw past him to the only bed in the room.

"Oh.." you mumbled. You had a massive crush on Subaru, but the sudden thought of being made to share a bed with him filled you with nerves.

He turned to you and bowed in apology. "Take the bed, MC, I'll sleep down on the floor."

You frowned. "No, that would be way too uncomfortable for you. We can just share." You suggested.

"I couldn't ask that of you."

"Please, Subaru. I wouldn't be able to sleep otherwise, knowing you were uncomfortable because of me." You pleaded, and he relented.

When you both slipped into bed, you stayed on opposite sides. You fell asleep quickly, but Subaru stayed awake to watch you.

He hadn't known there would be only one bed, but he was pleased with the outcome. It meant a chance to share with you in what he hoped was only the first night of getting to sleep in the same bed. After this, he selfishly hoped you'd want to do this again.

He carefully slid closer to you and wrapped his arms around you, mindful to not do anything to set off his stigma. Not yet. He'd rather those thoughts were freely given.

As he held you in his arms, he finally began to drift off, content, and hopeful for the future.

What's your take on the thought Andrew and Ashley were born sociopaths and doomed from the beginning?

is this a take people actually have??? anyways: ableist as fuck lmao

i am of the very strong opinion Ashley is absolutely neurodivergent with both autism and ASPD. admittingly the former is something i have a tendency to do and i won't necessarily die on the hill: something that really fascinated me in scenes in Chapter 3A is how Ashley just sincerely does not seem to understand social norms that should be obvious to anyone else. various scenes in her childhood, and especially with the campers while obviously not in the same level kinda resonated with experiences with not understanding social norms me and my brother struggled with growing up.

but also i admittingly hc and project this a lot on socially awkward characters so take that part with a grain of salt and it's not really a hill i'm willing to go die on or debate especially when i think ASPD and BPD are bigger issues with her. i highly doubt any of these terms will actually come up in the game and it will remain a headcanon, but the idea that anyone can be "born" evil and a sociopath or whatever is nonsense lmao. this is a fictional game so if we learn time travel black magic whatever influenced Andrew's and Ashley's births somehow (like the twins in Clock Tower) i really reject that.

the Graves siblings are fucked up and dysfunctional because they were born into an abusive household with absolutely nobody to rely on except eachother: something both parents encouraged and forced on them. while i do think both being neurodivergent had a part in it, it's pretty clear in the game, in the promotional images even that the root of their issues is a fucked up co-dependency forever sealed in stone by a super fucked up incident (and it was an accident, they did not intend to kill Nina, this is important and a lot of people overlook this wasn't an intentional murder carried out by psychopaths) and the oath taken between two children and the refusal of the parents to care or do anything about it.

if the Graves were a genuinely loving, happy family: Ashley's and Andrew's mental health situations would be better off. even if they are neurodivergent and mentally ill they would have access to proper support, medication, therapy, and perhaps most importantly the comfort of a parent's love more instead of a fucked up relationship between a brothermotherhusband and a sisterwife. i think Ashley would be struggling a lot worse, but they'd be better.

i think the fact that in 3A we see Leyley literally react in flashbacks actively disturbed that she could just so casually admit to something so terrible. Leyley was actively disturbed and distressed about the fact she could so casually admit to killing someone and not care about it. she tries to confide in Andy but he falls asleep and that to me, more than anything, is the moment that sets everything about the woman she would become into stone. i genuinely think if Renee or even Andy (even though that was not his responsibility) made a genuine attempt to reach out in that moment and improve things (although if it was only the other Actual Child trying to help it probably wouldn't have been enough)

everything in TCOAAL is pretty explicit the root of the sibling's problems is based in a toxic codependence, not that they were evil from birth or some shit like that. i can handwave it if magic or prophecy is involved but if not i fucking hate this take in all media so much it's unreal

Nemlei's own view of the game is very clear she approaches this from a place of the effect of abuse of the environment has on a child. things like Ashley being autistic and aspd are headcanons of mine: but Nemlei herself would disagree with me saying that's how i should view it and that be the end-all. she is explicit this is a case of cause and effect of in-universe events, not any result of being born a certain way. this is a critical component of Nemlei's writing, given the lore of how the color of one's soul works and how one views themself. this is one of the most critical core components of the lore.

Ashley and Andrew weren't born fucked up. they were fucked up because of the environment that nurtured them. i will die on this hill, and it is the hill that Nemlei seems to view for her fiction. this is like, one of the more important takes to the themes of the story. i'm usually someone that views word of god as secondary to what is presented in the text, but this is a really important piece of information in this story.

Nemlei's narrative isn't about the idea the two were born evil or anything, it's that the awful people they became was shaped by the environment around them. i think that's important.

Colton is honestly annoyed. It isn't his fault that they didn't realize how bad you were being treated. He thinks you should forgive him because he's certainly made it up to you now. Besides, it wasn't like Calista and Bronwyn didn't know about your treatment as well! It isn't fair and he will try and push your boundaries only for Dominic to stop him.

Dominic, on the other hand, understands where you're coming from. He is gentle with his tone around you, making sure you can always see his hands. He moves slowly, narrates what he's doing and kinda treats you like a skittish kitten.

Andy hates it. He just wants to be with his new big sibling, why are they only being nice to his mommy and big sis? He will pout and whine until you're paying some attention to him. He will crawl into your lap, cuddling close and daring you to move him.

Curtis Everett

Possessive. Super duper possessive. If he gets a whiff of any other man in your life--in any part of your life--being interested in you, there's a 'talking to' that happens, and either the dude backs off respectfully or you never fucking see that guy again. All your exes are either dead to you or really dead. Period.

Ok, shockingly, not that possessive. In some ways, he finds it flattering that others are interested in you. Why shouldn't they be? You're great. As far as them making an actual move on you, Jimmy expects you to shut it down firmly, quickly. The only time he'll get physically involved is if a guy tries to hit on you while you're drunk. Ari Levinson

Whole thing about it here from Bedrock and Blueprints, but in general, I do see Ari as on-guard for you receiving unwanted (or wanted) attention from men close-r in your life. His go-to move is to plant himself like a brick wall beside you until you make it very, very clear to the guy that Ari is your one and only. He doesn't think of himself as a possessive person because he will do this subconsciously.

Ransom Drysdale

Usually gets nasty and snippy with you. How could you not shut down the flirting? How could you let the guy think he has a shot?? How come you didn't apologize to Ransom for the embarrassment??? It's bullshit, but good fucking luck getting Ran to see that...

Andy Barber

Mixed bag. Andy arbitrarily gets super-pissed or doesn't notice at all, based on the level of attention he's paying in a social situation. Maybe he's distracted by a case at work when you all are out at dinner with people, so the fact your recently-divorced coworker is thrilled by your concern for him goes right over Andy's head. Maybe you two are at a friend's wedding and your bestie from middle school wants you to come onto the dance floor with him for that song--the one you made up moves to back in the day,--but Andy refuses because you're his and promised him all the dances tonight. He's unpredictable without knowing the full context.

Steve Rogers

Whole thing about it here for Fools Rush In, but Steve doesn't really get flirting. He barely does it himself, so it's hard for him to recognize someone being too nice to you. Someone making a move on you--short of physically moving to take you somewhere--goes right over his head. He isn't the jealous type as long as there's trust between you. Steve might get a smidge frustrated if he can't relate/speak about huge, important subjects to you, but instead of being jealous of guys who can talk to you about those things, he just learns more about them to join the conversation. Pretty simple solution if you ask him.

If, however, the guy makes you uncomfortable, Steve will do everything possible to separate you from that, though he will do it discreetly in public so as not to draw more unwanted or uncomfortable attention.

Bucky Barnes

Highly unjealous until he is megajealous. No, those aren't words, but they are applicable. Bucky just lets most things roll off him like a duck in water when he's happy in a relationship. He'll start off a bit prickly while getting comfortable and gaining trust in you, but after that, he's all-in...until someone goes too far. If a guy you know is flirty or whatever, Buck's fine (excepting you don't seem mad or upset about it), but if one motherfucker professes his love for you and how you should ditch Bucky, etc, you'd be hard-pressed to find the words to stop Bucky from hunting that son of a bitch down. The guy would be forbidden from being near you, if you work together, someone has to quit, and if it's an ex? Well, likely that guy disappears off the face of the earth and his body is never found. The end.

Jiro led you to Yuri's office, where the doctor was nowhere to be seen. "I thought Yuri wanted me?" You asked, confused.

"I lied. You looked like you were uncomfortable and I didn't like that he was asking you out. It made me want to ask you out instead." Jiro admitted.
