I dreamed of a prequel Ace Attorney game that explored how the in universe justice and prison system got to be so extreme. It went through the decades up until DL-6 and the Fey- Hawthorne family drama. It explored concepts such as prison abolition, secularism, subjective morality, and abstract concepts such as karma. It had a shifting cast and pov with recurring characters being Gregory, Gant, Blaise, and Manfred ( who looked like Cleminnit for some reason). Manfred’s (platonic) wife was also in it and was absolutely unhinged, she was this revolutionary breaking rules and laws left and right. Also she had thick fluff under her armpits ( just telling for documentation purposes promise) There were these flashes to future events and I’m not sure if it was just for player or what. Faintly I remember Manfred mentioning Gregory would follow him ‘ into the depths of hell’ and him being confused why ‘ people wouldn’t celebrate his endless torment.’ But more importantly Manfred did drop a “ you give me incessant, unneeded feelings” to Gregory. Damn my brain for being cooler than reality!

Oliver didn't know how to explain how much this place kept him out of a silent apartment, one that left him alone with his thoughts. It was much easier to concentrate here in the lively cafe, being able to observe those around him and keep his thoughts off everything that was happening in his real life. His tongue brushes across his lower lip as his gaze focuses on Maya for a few seconds. Although, he wasn't exactly proud of the way he acted the last couple years since Scarlett, not being able settle down or even think about doing it again. It's why he constantly hit on Maya, but a part of him couldn't help but feel bad because she seemed so sweet.

He also smiles, nodding his head. "Isn't that what fall is all about? Having those comfort homey flavors to come settle into with the pumpkin spice smell in the air?" He teases, he couldn't tell what his favorite season was. In fact, he liked all times of the years even though the holidays were harder sometimes. He didn't usually celebrate since he didn't go home for it, because he didn't talk to his family. But he couldn't help but at least miss the place he used to call home.

"You could always join me for a chat," He murmurs, shutting the notebook. "Sometimes I wait around for the end of the day just to get some one-on-one time with you."

Maya watched as Oliver savored the scone, a soft smile on her lips. His approval meant a lot more than she would ever let on. Maybe it was because there was just something about the way he was–guarded but still present, like he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders. She was sure he had his demons – everyone in town seemed to, but he never talked much about them, and she didn’t pry. Maya just tried to be a small, bright part of his day if she could. “I’m glad you like it,” she said, her voice light but warm. “Figured people could use a little comfort these days,” Maya said, her gaze lingering on him just a second too long before she realized. She quickly averted her gaze and continued. “I’ll keep that in mind for when I’m drafting up the fall menu.” She smiled that easy, comfortable smile she always had with him, and she couldn't help but wonder how much more there was to Oliver that she hadn’t seen yet. Couldn’t help but wonder if maybe, one day, he’d let her in just a little more. “I’m not flattering,” she insisted, but chuckled at the hint of the accent that slipped through. “I’m just telling it how it is.” As far as closing the shop went, Oliver was pretty much the last patron in the café so she was just planning to close up after he left for the night. “How much longer do you need? I’m sure I can find something to occupy my time. You know me, always trying to perfect something.”

Younger Siblings Tournament Bracket Reveal

A few things I want to mention before I reveal the bracket (and make the post really long because all the matchups will be listed in text):

Seeding of fictional characters in tumblr polls is inherently subjective. I did try to make it so that more popular characters/media would (most likely) face off against each other in later rounds, but I may be overestimating or underestimating the popularity of some characters/media, especially ones I'm not familiar with. There are some round 1 matchups that are probably a closer match but none of them are between the strongest candidates... I think.

The more niche characters will probably get obliterated in the first round as per Squimbus' Law. This is a tumblr poll and I do fully expect more popular characters to sweep, but that doesn't mean you can't encourage your friends to give your niche faves a fighting chance.

Also there are some matchups I literally just thought would be funny. Please don't take this too seriously.

Nix’s Beta Designs

Shirtless Nix. 👀 I love the little sweater neck on his mouth and his right hand being entirely covered by his sleeve. But what would the R.N. stand for, Richard Nixon? While not a fan of the design I love the expression of 2. The fact that 4 has a particularly pointy chin freaks me out.

Young Phoenixes! The last panel is just funny to me lmao. In the second panel Nix looks like Garou and him with the lollipop in the first panel reminds me of Child Emperor.

I'm not a big fan of Beanix but I love me some stubble. Not a fan of the nose on 3 and I feel 2 and 3 are too well dressed considering his situation. 1 is more realistic and that expression portrays his solemnness and desperation well. Plus that parka is invoking memories in me...

I hate that Maya was ever doodled as a school girl. I love the design on the lower bottom of the right page, the one with the little handkerchief and box ( reminded of Demon Slayer). I think I still prefer the canon one though. The pigtails and suit design is cute but is definitely not her.

I love the short-hair- in-the-back-long-hair-strands-in-the-front style. Having even more balls to be hanging, like medals almost, especially as time goes on, would be cool. The doodle where Maya is crying invokes unnamed, unpleasant feelings in me.

Here Mia looks closer to her roots in Kurain. She reminds me of one of those traditional Japanese dolls

This design is cute, the bow reminds me of a butterfly and her eyes are a little off from each other yet it suits the design. Not very 'Pearly' though.
