I've discussed Lucifer and his differences compared to all the other angels, archangels included, before over the years - especially in regards to power. For example, his LACK of need of prayers, which is talked in depth here. All angels have a baseline power, and prayers make them stronger. Lucifer is an exception to this because, even if he had never fallen, he would never have been one humans called upon regardless. He was God's right hand and was rarely out of the throne room because of that. BUT I want to talk about a few different consequences and aspects of his differences that this creates.
SLEEP
I have talked about this before too, (here) but I want to go more into the WHY. Sleep is a necessary regulatory process for Lucifer, much more than for other angels. Lucifer has a near overwhelming amount of power as is to be expected of God's right hand, compounded with the fact he serves as one of the Horseman (albeit this factor is known to VERY few). But UNLIKE God, Lucifer has a dedicated corporeal form rather than just an existing conscious per se. ( Technically he has a few considering his true form and then that which he takes when visiting other planets like Earth, Jotunheim, etc.) Which means the excessive power needs a way to regulate itself. For him, it's mainly through different sleep cycles that allow the power to settle and stabilize.
Using large amounts of his power would ALSO be a way Lucifer could regulate his power and remain active and awake for longer periods of time. While he still would occasionally slumber as all do, it would not be nearly as long as it is for him. But the problem is that Lucifer VERY RARELY is able to use up enough power for this to be effective. Clashes with Michael are a good way for him to be able to burn enough to keep going, or any massive conflict with Heaven and Hell's forces on a large scale. While Lucifer does let most of Hell deal with their own conflicts, he has on occasion stepped in to forcefully end a conflict and that can help ( Not because it's hard on him, it isn't, but it lets him use his powers to greater lengths than he regularly does. ) The dances and celebrations held in Hell on occasion also can be an excuse to burn some excess power. There are WAYS he can and does use other means to regulate his power - it's just that there are rarely enough events to balance out his need to also sleep. ( His work as the Horseman can too, but he's loathed to acknowledge it. )
In his sleeping state, he can be forcefully woken up by certain events even without interference. Huge shifts of power within Heaven or Hell will rouse him because he can FEEL the change in dynamic of power. Something like a large scale confrontation, or another powerful soul awakening such as Solomon's soul reawakening. An angel falling will often awaken him if he's in a shallow sleep too, though it would have to be a strong angel if he is in a deep/long sleep. Should a high ranking angel fall or approach Hell in a hostile manner, it will awaken him. And, of course, should he be called upon as a Horseman, it will break his sleep for a few years.
PACTS
Lucifer VERY RARELY accepts and makes a pact with anyone to allow them into his circle. It's a very prized title to be held and comes with a vast amount of benefits such as raising their rank in Hell and their influence with other demons. ( It does NOT, however, immediately set them into a position of power in terms of territory - that they need to gain themselves. ) Lucifer will also be more willing to lend them his power and strength, and it intensifies the connection between Lucifer and the pact-holder. They will be able to sense each other even through vast differences, and call to the other so to speak. If he's in a sleep, Lucifer can and will awaken if a pact-holder calls on him in need. Lucifer can also draw their power away if needed for some reason, though such a scenario would have to be extreme for him to do so given his own power.
It's nearly unheard of for Lucifer to offer a pact with anyone. He's also the only one with the power to forcibly break a pact other than through death. He's never done so yet because he is very careful with those he would ever make such an offer to. Deals and pacts are different. Deals are small and limited to one transaction and, unless it was with someone of equal or near equal power, Lucifer could break it. Pacts are an eternal connection and are both high energy to make or break. This is saying I want you to stay as part of my life, a part of me.
PRAYERS
So do prayers to Lucifer work at all? No. He has no interest in the way humans push the blame of their actions onto his name, or the absurd and appalling requests made. He also has no interest in serving or helping humans ; he was opposed to that from the very beginning. He doesn't hear them and he never wishes to. The ONLY, only exception is if one captures his interest - like King Solomon, whose loneliness in is soul echoed Lucifer's own. Or the occasional good bond he may form with one here or there from some instance. Should they, for whatever reason, call upon him, he would likely respond. But it does not give him strength the way it does for other angels as previously mentioned. He was never made to hold a place in human's eyes because he was to be God's right hand.
MISC.
A random but topic-related mention on power. Of course I mean Lucifer's strength in the typical ways we think of power; strength, magical capabilities, etc. etc. BUT there is another form of power. And that is in his knowledge. Lucifer possesses pieces of knowledge that ONLY God himself understands - and to which God never entrusted another after Lucifer's fall. Lucifer understands universes and creations in ways others may not or may to only a certain extent. FREE-WILL he gained on his own and led to his fall, a product and effect of Lucifer being exposed and created with the intention of possessing such secrets. Despite his fall however, Lucifer is not inclined to reveal or share these secrets. ( Mainly because people cannot fathom what to ask and most have forgotten his status as God's right hand in the face of being the emperor of Hell. ) His power comes in the fact he understand aspects beyond others too.
#punts this onto the dash#i just think this is an interesting topic#if there's questions i am happy to answer#but mm yeah i thought i would expand upon some of this more#᛭ — [HEADCANON] fate carved by unshaking hands [LUCIFER]

Lucifer is not as pride-driven as people assume him to be, especially humans. But this goes for demons and angels as well, especially those who do not know him personally and have only heard stories or seen glimpses.. Lucifer is secure in his place. He knows he is the most beautiful of all the angels, that he alone was God's right hand and there will be no other, he knows these things as a fact the same way we know the sun will rise and set each day. But he's not keen on bragging over feats. He doesn't see the point in it. His authority is unchallenged and those insane enough to try are crushed the same way one steps on an ant. Pride is not his driving factor despite what the stories say. It has always been freedom.
That is not to say Lucifer doesn't feel pride though. He DOES view himself as a superior to humans and sneers at the thought of bending knee to serve them. He doesn't hate humans, but he doesn't see them as equal just the same way most people doesn't see themselves equal to a butterfly or squirrel. That said, there ARE humans he has occasionally liked. Solomon, for example, because Solomon knew the same eternal loneliness that Lucifer does. And he does like to look good when he participates or his battle prowess. There are things he IS proud of. But it isn't the main part of his personality. He's not some arrogant, proud emperor of hell like the stories paint him. Yes, he is proud, but not in excess as might be assumed. He's far more calm and apathetic the majority of the time.

Actually, you guys are getting one of my rambles because I've decided this is a fascinating topic, Lucifer is active, and it's been a while since I've rambled about him anyways so we're due.
The thing is that Lucifer's war was never against Michael or the other angels. Strategically, yes, Lucifer planned for this because it was inevitable such would occur. But it wasn't aimed at Michael. Lucifer NEVER had his sights on killing Michael or the other angels. He was willing to of course, sacrifices were going to happen. That didn't mean he wanted to. He didn't. For all the rage that Lucifer has against God, it's never been directed to those who were once closest to him. Vexed they would stand against him, but neither surprised nor hating.
In some old texts and books, Lucifer even speaks to Gabriel because Gabriel is the first to realize that something is wrong with Lucifer. I can't recall the exact titles of them. But regardless, Gabriel senses it and speaks with him and Lucifer admits to his unhappiness and confides the evening before the war that such is his plan. And Gabriel keeps it because telling will do no good. In others Gabriel encourages him to go ( though not by war, that was all Lucifer's doing ). It's interesting the dynamic that appears between them. Of being close and spending time together an then the way it fades. The point is though that some might have suspected or gotten clues.
Even after his fall, Lucifer still doesn't hate any of them. His hatred isn't with them. It's not even with Heaven per se. It's strictly with God. Lucifer IS ruthless and he WILL destroy anyone who gets in his way. But he doesn't hate them. In fact, Lucifer would be more than fine to catch up and chat with them even long after he's fallen. To see their faces again and see how they are doing. They might hate him, and Lucifer wouldn't blame them for that. He's not mad at Michael's rage against him. He understands it. But he won't return that anger.
So when and/or IF they start to fade? Be it from age or by dying in a battle or something else? It DOES manage to be one of the very few things that can draw an emotional reaction from Lucifer. He doesnt feel easily as we all know, but for them? Them he does. And it hurts. He can feel that presence disappear like a star vanishing from the sky. What is worse is he can't do anything. He can't go see a coffin or ceremony because that's all in Heaven. He just has to know without anything more. No one would probably even tell him unless it was battle. But Lucifer knows regardless, and he doesn't rejoice in it.

Angels and demons go through periods of sleep to help preserve their life and power. In short , it’s like a long term hibernation. The more powerful , the longer the sleep. These are CONSISTENT sleeps , and during this time power and territory can shift. Putting it off weakens demons and angels , to the point they can fade , or make make them more prone to the Death Sleep. In other words , frequently waking and shallow sleeps seem to be considered bad signs and signs of an impending Death Sleep based on Baalberith’s remarks on Lucifer’s constant waking meaning he might be approaching the Death Sleep.
Lucifer , however , is an exception to this general rule. He even says so in chapter 59 , where he says this:
Lucifer’s sleep is not one consistent sleep like other angels and demons. Lucifer’s is a mix of shallow sleeps and longer sleeps. Typically they are short sleeps which typically last around 100-200 years , followed by around a few hundred years of being awake , anywhere from 700-1000 years. But even during these shallow sleeps , if there is enough of a power shift / change occurs , or someone with a connection calls out to him or is in extreme distress , can wake him up for very short periods, anywhere from a couple hours to a couple of weeks before he goes back to sleep. The power in him , not just as the Morningstar and Emperor , but also the White Rider , means a need to burn off or release energy.
His long sleeps are more rare as they last for roughly a few thousand years , and he does simply freeze. During these times , Lucifer and often those around him go to extensive lengths for defense and spells , as Lucifer will not wake during this time. .
Lucifer can just sleep normally like any human when he is in his awake periods. He doesn’t have a NEED for that kind of sleep , but he enjoys it so he often does sleep quite a bit , but then goes days without sleeping as he….has no real concept of time given his lack of need for it. Lucifer does not make his difference from the average angels / demons known. Samael often acts as a messenger during these times , saying Lucifer is busy so nobody knows of it , as Samael knows Lucifer better than anyone and acts on his behalf with his permission.

Losing feathers didn’t used to be a problem Lucifer faced. Before his fall , he didn’t lose any feathers unless they were ripped out ( ahem , michael. ). If that happened, they’d instantly be replaced with perfect, new feathers. It was only post-fall that Lucifer began to lose feathers.
As a whole, Lucifer’s wings remained undamaged and unchanged after his fall, contrary to what rumors humans say. His wings did not burn away or become discolored like all the others did. His are just as strong as they always were, just as beautiful as they always were. Shining, a symbol of his pride, and a symbol of what made him stand apart from the rest regardless of where he was. They are still perfectly white & edged in gold, always with light near the tips, making his wings extremely unique and recognizable since he is the only angel to ever have wings like that. The only change to his wings became the losing of feathers.
They still instantly grow back; he’s never got patches or areas without feathers. They simply fall out. It is an annoyance, and one of the few physical tells of how he’s fallen. Now his feathers fall where they once hadn't, serving as an eternal reminder that he isn’t the same as before. Although, at the same time, he still retains divinity, especially being 1 of the 4 horsemen, there are changes and punishments.
Lucifer’s long cast a spell so the feathers tend to disappear as soon as they hit the ground. They vanish , so there isn’t a need for cleaning up because they do it themselves. Likewise if you try to take one it vanishes unless Lucifer himself gives it to you. Few really think of the implication , but its not missed on Lucifer , although he does not show it.

One of the key differences in Lucifer ( and what contributed to his pride ) was the concept of free will. Lucifer gained a strong sense of free-will that angels ARENT supposed to have. Everything is supposed to be only for God, for Heaven, for orders, etc. They have some free will in that angels have likes and dislikes and things of that nature, but it tends to be a far more collective mindset so to speak. It’s for GOD’S will , for HEAVEN’S will. For Lucifer , it’s a very INDEPENDENT mindset. It’s what HE chooses and things, whether it agrees or disagrees with others and their ideas.
One of the many things that contributes to how Lucifer is different from the other angels in that he was often kept in the presence of God in the throne room. He was exposed to secrets and concepts and knowledge even Michael and other seraphs weren’t. Several different texts cite as Lucifer being surrounded by beautiful things that any mortal would desire, but he was almost exclusively kept to the throne room except for certain occasions such a dealing with problems or dances, and I personally include him in high ranking angel council meetings. As such, along with the constant exposure to God , the secrets and creations, the fact he was CREATED to be both wisest and most beautiful , Lucifer gained a sense of his own free-will beyond what God even knew of. And that free-will brought with it pride.
HE broke free. HE is his own being. He’s better than the others because he has his free-will ( and admittedly being more beautiful and created to be the best ). And that free will means he can change and choose to do what he wants , he can question things , have his own opinions. Independence. Independence that was never accounted for, never planned for.
And this is without even factoring in he’s the White Rider of the Apocolypse. Which , as Makai Ouji says , both serve God as his personal knights , but ALSO serve as a balance in that God cannot interfere with the Horseman (c. 91). It is why he couldn’t stop Lucifer from falling or act out, why Lucifer couldn’t be struck down when anyone else should be. It gave Lucifer divinity that could not be striped away or removed from him. Lucifer knew that and used it to his advantage to try to bring down Heaven, both in the rebellion as well as later when attempting to use Solomon’s soul to break his chains to God as a Horseman and as destroy God’s kingdom. He is destroying the current hierarchy , which he explicitly says when “ To put my role into words , it is to rid this world of God’s legacy. The world where God stands at the top will end , it will be reborn as a new kingdom with a new hierarchy. “ He sees his own plans for the Horseman, not just power balance.
Even fallen , he’s still chained in that he is a Horseman , and unlike the other 3 horsemen , he isn’t mortal. He is stuck with this burden as he exists unless he can escape. But his free will allows the manipulation of events by his hand like a game of chess. His free-will let him do these things , his greatest ‘ flaw ‘ was the free will , because the free-will led to his excessive pride , his own plans , his own thoughts and opinions.

Something that is important is the realization that Lucifer doesn’t believe in the idea of knowledge being inherently forbidden. In the words of Paradise Lost , “ Suspicious , reasonless. “ He doesn’t understand the crime in knowing and understanding. Lucifer’s aware he possess knowledge that only he himself and God have, but he doesn’t hide that fact. It’s simply that no one has asked so he doesn’t just spit it out. And Lucifer may choose not to share for a reason. But the idea that some information is inherently forbidden to everyone? He doesn't agree to that. The idea of ignorance and repulsive to Lucifer ; he’d rather know things regardless of how it makes him feel. Which is why he does tend to encourage others to ask or seek answers. Or just answer them if you ask him. Ignorance is blind obedience, which is not something Lucifer supports given his whole act was against blind obedience.
That is another thing as well. Lucifer is the champion of free will. He will not rob people of that. Friend or foe, they will always possess that. He may heavily manipulation a situation to an outcome he wants, or there may be death as a consequence, but there is always choice. It can be in the form of him presenting options, or the choice being to obey or not to obey him. Of course there are consequences to actions, be it good or bad. But Lucifer firmly believes in the idea of free will and choice. It's what he fell for. Choice over blind, committed obedience. Even if he dislikes the outcome, it's the principle that Lucifer cares for. It's something that he, and Hell, offer that Heaven does not.

So I want to talk about something with Lucifer that I view as very crucial to Lucifer’s personality. And as such, obviously there will be heavy religious topics buT BEAR WITH ME, IT’S IMPORTANT TO HIS CHARACTER.
Lucifer discusses the end of the old era. “ It will be reborn as a new kingdom with a new hierarchy. The world where god stands at the top will end. The new fire will burn all that is old. “ And this, to me, is a heavy similarity to the huge difference between the Old Testament and New Testament. ( For those of my followers not raised with knowledge of this, I’d briefly touch on why this is important when i discuss Lucifer’s character ) . In essence, he’s talking about burning away all the traces of the old testament, INCLUDING all the original angels. The category that him and michael both fall into.
Lucifer was one of the first angels, created to be ‘ perfect ‘ - the most beautiful , the wisest out of the angels , the closest to god. Created around the same time as him was Michael , Gabriel, Jegudiel, Selaphiel , Uriel, Raphael, and Barachiel. With the exception of Uriel and Michael and Raphael, it’s safe to assume the rest already passed. Why is this important ? Because these were the ‘ old ‘ angels created by the version of God like the Old Testament. A far crueler and intense god, compared to the caring, kinder God of the New Testament that aligns better with the ‘ new ‘ angels.
We really only have Michael and Lucifer to base analysis off of, and the brief hints of Uriel’s past behavior, and a few lines of Gabriel. Uriel had changed a lot, but Lucifer mentions him trying to storm Hell. Looking at these, all of them display traits of ruthlessness, apathy, and extreme devotion ( whether it be to god or their own ideals. Even Uriel nearly went into hysterics when Solomon questioned him ) in addition to manipulation. They’re vicious and cruel , and they had a God with a warped sense of love. Lucifer is HEAVILY, HEAVILY influenced by this. He was God’s closest angel after all. He was constantly with this cruel old testament God showing twisted love for his humans. He was surrounded by the other ‘ old ‘ angels who were also influenced, though to a lesser degree. Thus his personality was born from this, it was instilled on him and what he learned. To HIM, this is love. After all, people love and praise God and Lucifer knows how God truly is, and people adore him. All the angels flourished in a toxic and vicious circle with each other, hence the appearance of the intense personalities. Michael’s intense violence/cruelty, Lucifer’s intense manipulation, Gabriel’s intense ruthlessness/devotion, etc. It truly was not something Lucifer intentionally learned, it’s how he was created/raised.
Now over time, Lucifer’s come to see and acknowledge the sharp differences between the old angels and new. The new angels are given more freedom to feel, they are surrounded by passionate but calmer angels. Certainly the new angels can be cruel, angels are NOT kind creatures, and especially the newer ones can be cruel if often interacting with the ‘ old ‘ angels. He’s well aware, more than anyone else, how bad it is but he sabotages himself whether he wants to or not. It’s so deeply ingrained in his creation, especially with constantly being with the Old Testament God and listening to him. But even Lucifer himself doesn’t fully understand how deeply it’s effected him. He can TRY to learn or to change, but it’s part of his core. He may be able to change for loved ones, but only them, to others he is just as manipulative and ruthless as ever.

Lucifer is an exceptionally good speaker when he chooses to be, despite how tedious he finds human or other creatures languages to be compared to angelic/demonic language. He’s eloquent , and he knows what to say to get people to his side or to motivated them ( and not through fear ) . It’s part of why he’s so well respected among demons. It’s not just how beautiful he is or his power or ability to defy God, though those certainly help. Lucifer KNOWS how to reignite faded courage and hope in others, especially the other fallen angels or old gods turned into demons and to give them faith and reshape them with a new purpose.
It’s fairly easy to provoke people into a rage, especially demons. But Lucifer is good at CONTROLLING them and controlling their rage. He doesn’t strive to make an army of rampaging demons, but rather makes demons full of determination and courage to achieve their goal. He creates warriors impervious to fear or rage, much like how the Ancient Spartans would march calmly into war and strike fear into THEIR enemies. They can feel outraged on an individual level, but the masses he keeps disciplined and in line. Those lost in rage often become ignorant of the world around them, which soldiers should never be if they want to succeed. Instead Lucifer puts their goal at the forefront and offers the verbal and visual support that helps the demons. He’s an outstanding leader, and often serves symbolically to light their path to success , whether it be in actions or in words.

Communication among angels & demons in its truest form is extremely different than human speech. It’s why Lucifer makes the remark of “ That which one calls words is quite inconvenient. “ He points out the fact “ They only relay ambiguous terms and uncertain states. “ Which he isn’t wrong about. Words can be taken in various different ways based on tone , expectation , experience , etc. Which is generally why Lucifer does NOT speak in that way humans do unless speaking to humans or creatures that otherwise wouldn’t be able to comprehend his method of speaking. Although when interacting with other angels/demons it does resemble speech.
When it comes to speaking , it’s not words but rather the push of a mindset / idea / emotion. Listen i don’t think anyone wants me to get all Paradise Lost on you trying to explain it. It’s like telepathy , only he isn’t reading your mind and you aren’t reading his. It’s just a way to push a thought , idea , etc. in its purest form. Imagine you have an essay and a copy machine. You take that essay and make a copy and put it right in someone else’s hands. They have the exact same material as you , information in its purest form. That is how Lucifer tends to communicate ideas or feelings. It’s easy regardless of if its talking to 1 angel or 100,000 angels. Lucifer likes to keep things in their purest form. Of course , the RECEIVER might not understand it. If someone gave you a detailed description of quantum physics and your specialty is cooking , it will probably baffle you beyond belief. Or it might be like if someone gave you something in another language and your understanding depends on your understanding of the language , apply that but to concepts. Similarly , if LUCIFER is baffled over something he’s feeling/thinking , then those muddled feelings are also conveyed.
It’s why those devoted to Lucifer were so devoted. Because it clicked and resonated with their beings and mentality , because Lucifer could share his feelings in their purest forms without the confusion that words create. They simply FELT how he felt , the determination and passion and drive. It was elaborate and powerful and intoxicating. Lucifer can back things up with speeches and he often does. Especially because words can let him manipulate in a way sharing a pure idea might not let him , or clear confusion or simply make him that much more appealing. As inconvenient as Lucifer finds words , he’s an extremely inspiring and captivating speaker when he chooses to be. But overall, he typically prefers sharing things in their purest form.

UNDERSTANDING LUCIFER - SAMAEL VS MICHAEL
BOTH of them understand Lucifer better than anyone else can / will. But their understanding is very different to one another. In simply terms , Samael understands how Lucifer thinks and what drives him , what he yearns for. But Michael understands more closely what it is like to be. Although in some matters they both understand , like Lucifer’s love for apples which has never changed throughout the eons.
SAMAEL
The one closest to His Majesty, the one who is said to know His Majesty’s will.
Out of all the characters who make plenty of false claims and statements about Lucifer , only Samael does not make false claims. Likewise , ALL OF HELL trusts Samael’s words. LUCIFER trusts Samael to reign in his place whenever he has to sink into one of his sleeps to regulate his power better. Why ? Because Samael’s been beside him. Samael was with him in the fall ( at least in MO , in actual lore no but shh trusted companion )
Samael understands Lucifer’s logical approach to matters. He might not know exactly what Lucifer is planning , but he often knows the goals and major points of plans. He knows Lucifer’s drive for freedom and free-will , of Lucifer’s motto that if you want things to change , do it yourself. Even if you might fail , even if it seems impossible , try. He understands where Michael cannot ever fathom understanding Lucifer’s desires for freedom and free-will.
Samael has been long who Lucifer turned to to discuss matters , favoring Samael’s pursuit of knowledge and willingness to listen or indulge in deep discussions. Even before Lucifer fell , this much was true. Lucifer , Heaven’s beloved jewel , untouchable by nearly all , allowed Samael to be one of those close to him and through that , Samael learned a lot of Lucifer’s personality , his methods and strategies , his likes and dislikes. It is why Lucifer trusts Samael to rule well in his place. But even for Samael , Lucifer cannot fully be comprehended. He is beyond such rigid constraints and can surprise even those who know him best when he tries. But Samael is indeed the one closest to him.
MICHAEL
Michael is a far more complicated matter because it’s not as simple as saying ‘ oh , he knows how Lucifer thinks ‘ . Because he does and he doesn’t. Michael cannot understand Lucifer’s love for free-will. He KNOWS it. He KNOWS Lucifer chose free-will and freedom. But he cannot understand the why behind it. Only that it is a fact.
But at the same time , Michael knows how Lucifer IS because he’s been there with him from the beginning , whereas Samael was only near Lucifer’s fall. Michael was there with Lucifer at the beginning , he was there as Lucifer was put into the position of the right hand of God and the changes those had. ( Like Lucifer only appearing when God allowed him from the throne room , his beginning to stay more in his head , etc. ). In simpler times , how constant exposure to God and the secrets that to this day only God and him know. But Michael was also there through everything. The structures of Heavens , the first sleeps of all the angels ( especially Lucifer’s ) , Earth , everything.
As Lucifer says “ That which one calls words is quite inconvenient. “ Trying to describe it is hard. But Michael and Lucifer fought together , Michael knows Lucifer’s moves better , he knows Lucifer’s feats from firsthand witnessing rather than just stories , he knows what it is like to an extent to be as Lucifer is , because there are NO other angels like them. They are the only two of a kind. And , as the other original angels fade , perish , etc , that isolation grows. Samael knows of Lucifer’s sense of isolation , but he can’t EXPERIENCE it the same wat that Michael and Lucifer do because he’s NOT like them. He’s like the younger angels , allowed to feel and have more room whereas Lucifer and Michael weren’t designed with that in mind.
I don’t know if this post really got across what I mean , but I hope it at least gives an IDEA of what i mean. Samael and Michael BOTH understand Lucifer as no one else ever will , but they understand him in very different ways.

Part of what makes Lucifer so dangerous is his strength in no way correlates to others believing in him unlike most others who can be influenced by that to some degree. Belief in him , followers , none of that matters. He doesn’t need places dedicated to him or followers or souls or any of that nonsense. He doesn’t even acknowledge any of those people who try to pray to him. It’s appalling to think some humans think they can summon him or are worth his attention. He doesn’t care. Lucifer fell but he is , in many ways , still the same as before. He isn’t one to indulge in sinful behavior the way others do. ( Which I have previously made a hc about ) so much of what people do is disgusting to him. He has better things to do than listen to your pathetic whining. If you want something done , do it yourself.
Lucifer wasn’t created to be showcased in the way others were. Not to mention that he also exists as one of the four Horsemen , meaning he is outside of God’s control to some extent and Heaven’s influence even BEFORE he fell , thus could and did gain his own free-will. But Lucifer was created as God’s right hand. Perfect , beautiful , and just as removed as God is. Most of his time in Heaven was in the Throne Room of God , in the presence of God almost all the time. Not a figure to be seen by humans or to be dealing with the small things in Heaven. He stayed with matters of God and any major matters or meeting with the other archangels. Why would he ever need followers ? Even if he’d NEVER fallen , he still wouldn’t have churches or at least they’d serve no point to him because it still wouldn’t influence him. There are ways he can boost his own power and he can learn new tricks and such , strengthen and increase it , but it is through his own skill and determination , not because of others.
His strength is his and his alone. Believe in him or don’t , it won’t bother him in the slightest.

Lucifer’s goals and resolve will always come before any emotions that he feels.
Angels are cruel above all else. Lucifer wasn’t an angel created to FEEL. Emotions are a difficult thing to make him feel and harder still to be given a name as they are for any of the old angels. He can be impressed and disinterested in the same breath , love and hate , be delighted and want nothing more than to fade away all at the same time. It is a complex field where Lucifer cannot be bound by a simple term or feeling.
But those are all secondary. First is his resolve , his logic , his determination. Lucifer was created as God’s favorite , designed to be above the rest in many regards. It was Lucifer who stood at God’s right hand for so many years , learned things no other angel or being besides God has ever known. From the moment he was created he was designed to be different. It was this difference that allowed him to cut his own chains from Heaven , to defy God and Heaven’s Will to carve his own path.
His emotions will never come before his goals. He cared for Michael and some of the other angels - but his desire to break free from Heaven was stronger. He cared for Solomon , he still planned to use him in his plot. Even if he loved , it would not halt his desire to destroy God with himself. He understands that some people , like Michael , will never possibly understand his actions. They are extremely similar but they are also extremely different. In the end , no matter how he feels , he will go through with his ONLY TRUE goal to destroy God , whatever the cost may be. His only goal is to destroy God , although he has smaller plans to achieve this goal. It might alter how he handles those smaller plans , but ultimately , he will do whatever he absolutely has to to achieve his goal , and no connection to another will overrule that desire to bring down God.
TLDR: Lucifer’s only real goal is destroying God and while any smaller plans to achieve this can be changed due to emotions, no emotional attachment will ever overrule his plot to destroy God.
