just me thinkin abt how alfred is canonically part of this scene
none of the other royals, just alfred
just him and the siblings
and one sibling’s mother
and as someone who s supported that boy before this scene
he just rly do fit here look he’s part of the family and he’s here to mourn his mother in law alongside his sister in law ;o;
admittedly i am a bit sad that they didn’t give extra dialogue in this scene for players who s supported him before this chapter

If the leaks are to be believed fe4 will be getting a remake next. But if we do get a Fe7+6 remake the only thing I want is more Ninian. Also give Nils supports I think they would be so fucking funny.

heritors of arcadia
In spite of getting dragged from your Academy beds and made to solve problems in the middle of nowhere, these weeks spent in the village have given you all the best sleep of your lives. Tonight, you and your friends are whisked off to shared a dream of the past, what is now an idyllic world that adapts easily to your desires and expectations. Your mistakes, the pain others have inflicted on you, the things you’ve lost… everything you wish you could have changed or have control over, this dream gives you the chance to correct the course and make things right again. But as you feel your mind and body getting weaker with every minute you remain asleep, you realize that tearing yourself away from a world where everything is perfect takes a lot more will than simply kicking yourself awake. [Grants Faith +1]
@destinian
Utopia.
Paradise.
Those who have heard tell of its existence often used such words to describe the village hidden in the sandstorms of the Nabata desert where humans and dragons live together in peace. And indeed, Arcadia is a peaceful village, one divorced from the passage of time that the rest of the world experiences. The only indication of time passing at all is the humans and those with human blood growing older. Days pass by like grains of sand, heedless of the outside world. This is the home where Sophia has spent the majority of her long life and it is where she will return once she is done with her time at Garreg Mach.
There is one thing out of place, however; one tiny detail that betrays this as a dream and not reality. Sophia knows everyone in this tiny village, from the youngest babe to the elders who have been here since its founding, and yet here stands a stranger in the sands. It isn’t like when Bern invaded, though, because even in this dream, Sophia can feel her blood resonating.
Even so, to call her a complete stranger feels wrong as well. Twenty-something odd years ago, she had seen this exact light blue shade of hair, almost translucent in its resemblance to frost, in her visions. Sophia had seen bits and flashes of what was happening in the outside world, but it wasn’t enough to receive permission to become further involved than sneaking off to offer up a single talisman and well wishes.

[ AWAKE ]  the sender, unable to sleep, gets up to go for a walk, and finds that the receiver is also unable to sleep. / eliwood to ninian
The night air is cold but Ninian doesn't mind. It's refreshing, calming, soothing. Even the darkness and the solitude don't seem to bother her. She spent so much time alone, after all, with only Nils there who knew anything about her. Sometimes she thinks it had been easier then.
Footsteps approach from behind her, obvious in the quiet stillness of the night. Ninian whirls around, crimson eyes wide. The hour is late and there should not be anyone else awake but when she sees just who it is that's now in front of her, she visibly relaxes.
"Lord Eliwood...you startled me. You shouldn't be out so late." She knows she shouldn't be either but she is glad to see him. She's always glad to see him. Her lips curl into a slight smile. If anyone is to find her lost in her thoughts, at least he is the one to do so.

Huh ?
No ?
There were non-canon romance long before Avatar was even a thing ?
pre-existing romances are good and I'm sad the series got rid of them in order to cater to self-inserts. everyone has to be able to boink the avatar now and that really limits relationship writing opportunities for the rest of the cast

Guess who is back?
Encyclopedia Amazonica now becomes City of Ladies! I’m Niniane, your humble curator. I missed writing about women’s history, so here I am.
An empress being celebrated like a goddess, a female doctor during the crusades, a forgotten composer…here are some of the stories that you will find on this blog.
This time, I won’t just focus on warriors (though they will still be there). I want to shine a light on women and facts that caught my interest. I’ve dreamed of a place where I could do that and decided to make it come true.
So, let’s jump in the time machine and embark on this new journey!
And as before, please note that English is not my first language ;).
If you want to support me and enjoy what I do, here is the link to my Ko-Fi.
Hope you enjoy your stay here!

I know I’m jumping the gun here, but I also know that at least a couple of people are looking to try out FE7 once it’s released on the Switch so I thought I’d make a guide to
How Supports work on the GBA Fire Emblem Games
First, the simplest question. How do you build support points?
Support points in the GBA games are gained by having the two units adjacent to each other when you end your turn. Whether they did any fighting/dancing/etc. that turn is irrelevant. They just have to be standing next to each other when Enemy Phase flashes across the screen.
How fast do supports build?
That depends! Every pair of characters who have a support chain (available list in-game) have both a starting amount of support points, and a growth rate of 1 to 5 per turn. For example Eliwood and Ninian start at 0 points (they just met) but they have a support gain of 5 per turn, making their supports easier to get. Eliwood’s supports with his best friend Hector however, start at 72 and grow by 3 each turn. Supports are unlocked at 80, 160 and 240 points. So it would take a lot more effort to unlock say, Merlinus and Vaida’s supports, who start at 0 and grow by 1 per turn.
One notable exception in FE7 are Pent and Louise, who are married and already at max support points when you get them. It’s simply up to you to decide if you want to unlock them. Speaking of.
How many supports can I unlock in a playthrough?
Here’s a pretty big difference from the newer games. You can unlock 5 supports per character in a playthrough. Not 5 support chains, 5 supports. If you want to get two characters to A you had better make sure you haven’t unlocked three other C supports with one character.
Are there paired endings?
Yes! Some are romantic, others are not. Paired endings are decided by two characters having an A support. However, not every A support leads to a paired ending. Vaida and Merlinus again, for example, have supports but no paired ending. All supports go to A. If you want to know which supports have paired endings (or how fast certain supports grow) there are guides available online.
Do supports still grant combat bonuses?
Yep!
And there you have it! More or less everything you need to know about supports in the GBA Fire Emblem games! Now you know how to get the ones you want before watching the rest on YouTube. Have fun!

“Hello again, my friend! I am glad to see that you have made it!” Kagetsu waves to Eliwood as the battle begins again, grabbing his sword with his free hand.
He’s a little disappointed they had to part ways with Rosado, but he’s probably fine. He picked up that parasol from Ares! He’s probably having a great time with that thing and nothing is going wrong.
Strange that their opponents don’t have a third teammate. That doesn’t really seem fair. How are they supposed to showcase their true skill if they’re outnumbered?!
…Unless… they are so strong that they don’t even need a third teammate! Then this is perfect!
He holds his sword up towards the woman in front of him, a warning before he starts to swing. With their smaller numbers, it’s the least he can do. “Hello! I am going to attack you now! Prepare yourself!”
Kagetsu [6/6 HP] Attacks Ninian [6/6 HP] with Iron Sword! [Roll: 1d20 -> 17] Hit! -1 HP (Ninian HP: 5/6)
Next: @ninisdance !

It’s just really lamentable for Roy because he shares the GBA generation with:
His father Eliwood who, admittedly, isn’t super duper fun by himself either but 1) he’s got some stuff like Hector and Ninian going at least and 2) works perfect in the Lord Trifecta there and thus feels good to have around anyways.
Hector, who is a spicy capricious mcnugget the entire way through (contrasting with Lyn’s serious, dutiful nature) and, if Nergal’s own words in Hector Mode are anything to go by, THE single biggest wrench that ultimately ruined his plans, more so than Eliwood, and has the honor of being the first Axe Lord, as well as being an abject monster of a unit in FE7.
Lyn, who I don’t have to tell you is a fan favorite with an iconic design and plenty choice bits of dialogue, especially as her serious, no non-sense nature clashed with Hector’s devil may care behavior, and just like Hector was the first Axe Lord, Lyndis was the first female Lord, and also an incredible unit in her game.
Eirika & Ephraim, who are only passingly normal because they are burdened with a HUGE HEAVY duty from second 0 of the game right up until the very end of it, and who the game makes no secret would be, if they weren’t dutybound at the moment, HUGE GOOFY WEIRDOS, as one can immediately see on their supports, where they come across as Seinfeldian characters in European Fantasy setting, they are just plain fucking weird (affectionate) in a humorous, endearing way. They definitely add to Sacred Stones being a classic fan favorite in the franchise.
and then you have Roy who is a generic Kid Hero(tm) with mediocre stat growths and literally nothing else. In a game with, like, Echidna, Geese, Gonzalez, Fir, Niime, Hugh, etc.

This is for all my amigos sick with “FE is always about how dragons are bad.”
Rhea, in Japan, has the title of “White One.” Her attacks in dragon form are called Hoarfrost and Aurora, and the route where you romance her is called Silver SNOW. Rhea is an ice dragon, and a Nabatean.
Where have we seen Nabatea and an ice dragon before? Blazing Blade where Ninian's death is a “what have I done?” moment. Now look at Rhea's deaths. In Silver Snow, the battle against her is accompanied by the somber Funeral For Flowers, portraying what is happening as a tragedy. In Verdant Wind, she dies because she sacrifices herself tanking nukes to save the party. But in Flower? Her death is accompanied by EDELGARD's final boss theme Apex of the World. Rhea possibly dying in SS is meant to be sad, and in Flower the music is telling us she isn't the real final boss. Killing her there is a moment where the player is screwing up, doing something they can't undo.
But then look at the legendary weapons in Elibe. They were made by humans to kill dragons, doing untold damage to the world which the humans blamed the dragons. It also goes into how it was humans who started the war, launching an attack on those they had previously lived with but then made themselves out as heroes. In Elibe, Nabatea is the last place where dragons live after fleeing to other worlds, where they live alongside humans.
Likewise, there's an element of an interspecies romance. Eliwood's favored wife is Ninian, which would make Roy 1/4 dragon. Romancing Rhea is exclusive to Silver Snow, and she's the only one exclusive to that route. There's also the Jeralt/Sitri romance. But when you think about it as well, Hartmut was the founder of Bern and who found out his wife was a dragon and sealed her with their son believing he couldn't be with them considering what he had done (it may be that while he ended the war, he didn't start it). You then look a Wilhelm and Seiros, portrayed as lovers in a play, House Hresvelg claims descent from both of them, and Wilhelm left Fodlan to wander with Seiros with Rhea missing him over a thousand years later. Whereas Roy would go on to use the Binding Blade to try and make a world where humans and manaketes live together, Edelgard would become the Flame Emperor insistent on getting rid of all beasts. While both believe in humanity, Roy is forced to confront the worst of it both in his enemies, who ironically wants to give the world to the dragons because of the humans are bastards trope, as well as the history of the champions, while Edelgard aligns with the worst of humanity in committing genocide because it would give her power.
The golden ending of Binding Blade is about coexistence, Flower's ending is about wiping out everyone who opposes Edelgard. And in terms of design, Edelgard is supposed to be based on previous conqueror villains in the FE franchise. If Edelgard is based on the people you fight against in FE games, then those games don't support her views.
