Today russian government banned "childfree propaganda" with the law fining non-complying citizens up to equivalent of 4k dollars and non-complying organizations up to 51k dollars.

This law prohibits any public (for now; soon it could be used even for DMs) statements where childless life seen as a better or even equal lifestyle to having children. It forbids saying that it's okay for women to have abortions. It bans any advices to not have children if women don't have enough space, money, health (!) or any other reasons (like going-on war hello?) except when you're talking about monkhood celibate.

This is in line with Putin's signed order "to save and protect traditional values" which already led to banning any mention of LGBT people and had people arrested and sentenced just for organising private gay events or heavily fined for posting a photo of you with your same-sex partner holding hands or screenshot of tv characters kissing. Two female police officers friends were fired because they left messsages under each other photos "showing simpathy" (not even flirting).

And now this. Of course it's not going to affect men who proudly say online how women with children are second sort or calling mothers protecting their children crazy "butI'mAMother"s (popular derogatory term), or advocate to cancel child support, or doing anything else that actually turning women away from considering motherhood. It's going to affect feminists first and foremost because it is us who relentlessly advocate how marrying men and having children in this society is a trap.

And they plan to ban feminism next (they were tryng to do this for years at this point) and also... eh... egoistical lifestyle propaganda whatever this means.

Crazy times but I think we will prevail. Soviet feminists refused to keep silent and were called dissidents and extradited. For now not one feminist channel, podcast, page or community I know is planning to close.

"Рускеальский экспресс" это регулярный пассажирский ретропоезд курсирующий ежедневно на паровозной тяге. Последний регулярный пассажирский поезд на паровозной тяге курсировал в конце 70-х годов XX века. "Рускеальский экспресс" состоит из семи вагонов включая вагон-ресторан. В первый рейс поезд отправился 1 июня 2019 года. Больше 50 тысяч туристов побывали в вагонах Рускеальского экспресса за п��рвый же год работы.

 Поезд «Рускеальский экспресс» связал берег Ладожского озера и рускеальское месторождение, а внутреннее убранство поезда оформлено в стилистике Николаевского экспресса, так распространенной на рубеже XIX–XX веков. Светильники, отделка, обои и мебель воссоздают атмосферу тех вагонов, пассажирами которых были последний российский император и его семья. В купе – большой стол и удобные диванчики с пуфиками, проводники одеты в стилизованную под старину форму. Особенностью поезда служит оригинальное фотокупе, где оборудована специальная система для моментального фотоснимка.

Кстати, современная железная дорога от платформы Сортавала до горного парка «Рускеала» полностью повторяет маршрут, по которому 200 лет назад везли к берегу Ладожского озера рускеальский мрамор для Исаакиевского собора.

"Ruskeala Express" is a regular retro passenger train running daily on a steam locomotive. The last regular passenger train on a steam locomotive ran in the late 70s of the 20th century. "Ruskeala Express" consists of seven cars including a restaurant car. The train departed on its maiden voyage on June 1, 2019. More than 50 thousand tourists visited the cars of the Ruskeala Express during the first year of operation.

The train "Ruskeala Express" connected the shore of Lake Ladoga and the Ruskeala deposit, and the interior of the train is decorated in the style of the Nikolaevsky Express, so common at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. By the way, the modern railway from the Sortavala platform to the Ruskeala Mountain Park completely repeats the route along which Ruskeala marble for St. Isaac's Cathedral was transported to the shore of Lake Ladoga 200 years ago.

In case you don't know yet, hundreds of people were in a famous concert hall with their children when terrorists entered the building, killed security, went on a fucking stage and started to shoot at people. They threw grenades, set fire to the building. And it basically happened in Moscow.

At least 60 people died, more than 140 people are injured. One child died for now and lots of kids are still in the hospital with severe damage. We still don't know the exact numbers.

And it turns out that our government and some other kinda knew about some planning attacks. Which is absolutely great and cool and awesome.

Armed people are walking on city streets and nobody cares, they would certainly care if they saw a rainbow sign on someone, cause it's an absolutely valid reason to send special forces on them. But armed people? What harm might they cause

A 14-years-old girl has died this summer because of vaginal trauma and blood loss. Her "boyfriend" of 3 months is 19yo and while he's considered adult in Russia there is no default recognition of sex with minor as statutory rape in our laws.

Than means he won't be persecuted for rape or involuntary manslaughter because apparently 14yo girl can consent to having painful intercourse tearing her apart. He will be persecuted for "sexual relations and indecent acts with a minor under 16yo" and that's all. Maximum penalty is 4 years in prison but I doubt he'll get that much.

Oh, and the police apparently didn't want to prosecute until girl's mother insisted after 3 months of nothing being done. He's not even arrested.
